Today, Dr. Byrd speaks on the topic "Do Your Job." 00:00:06.47\00:00:09.97 And now, here he is, speaker/director of Breath of Life Ministries, Dr. Carlton 00:00:10.01\00:00:18.35 Byrd. PB: Take your Bibles. Go with me to the book of Mark, and 00:00:18.38\00:00:22.62 we're going to go to chapter 1, and we're going to go to verse number 1. As we read today in 00:00:22.65\00:00:28.39 your hearing, Mark chapter 1, verse number 1. The Word of God says to us, "The beginning of 00:00:28.42\00:00:36.36 the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my 00:00:36.40\00:00:42.17 messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. The voice of one crying in 00:00:42.20\00:00:49.51 the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight." Everybody say 00:00:49.54\00:00:53.72 "straight." Aud.: Straight. PB: John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the 00:00:53.75\00:00:58.79 baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. And there went out unto him all the land 00:00:58.82\00:01:05.03 of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, 00:01:05.06\00:01:12.37 confessing their sins. And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin 00:01:12.40\00:01:19.87 about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey; And preached, saying, There cometh 00:01:19.91\00:01:26.72 one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and 00:01:26.75\00:01:34.46 unloose. I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy 00:01:34.49\00:01:47.10 Ghost." Today our message is entitled "Do Your Job." Do your job. Father, in the name of 00:01:47.14\00:01:54.81 Jesus, bless us now as we preach this Word. I invite and plead with your Holy Spirit to come 00:01:54.84\00:02:01.05 now in this place. God, I seek no glory of my own, but we give all honor and glory and praise 00:02:01.08\00:02:07.86 to You. Forgive us for our sins, and when the appeal time comes move in this place by Your 00:02:07.89\00:02:20.27 Spirit and by Your power. It's in Jesus' name we pray, begging for forgiveness of sin. Amen. 00:02:20.30\00:02:27.48 Do your job. I'm an avid football fan. Any other football fans in this place? All right. I 00:02:27.51\00:02:34.68 grew up in South Florida, so in growing up in South Florida I grew to love the Miami Dolphins. 00:02:34.72\00:02:39.39 [Aud. reaction] PB: I didn't get too many amens. [Aud. reaction] PB: Now, if I had 00:02:39.42\00:02:43.99 said the New York Jets or Giants, I probably would have gotten church, you don't want to 00:02:44.03\00:02:48.93 be sacrilegious. Come on, say amen. But I grew up loving the Miami Dolphins. But let the 00:02:48.96\00:02:55.60 record reflect, they are still-- whether you like them or not; hate if you want--the only team 00:02:55.64\00:03:02.24 on record that has had a perfect season on record. Come on, say amen. Aud.: Amen. 00:03:02.28\00:03:09.22 PB: All right. Now, when basketball season is over, professional sports gets a 00:03:09.25\00:03:18.09 little boring to me. Baseball does not do it for me; watching nine innings of lifeless 00:03:18.13\00:03:29.30 baseball does not produce any energy, excitement or enthusiasm for me. Do I have a witness 00:03:29.34\00:03:39.21 in this place? [Aud. reaction] 00:03:39.25\00:03:41.08 PB: So it's during this time of year where I long and look forward to the upcoming NFL 00:03:41.12\00:03:50.96 season. Now, one of the greatest rivals of the Miami Dolphins are the New England Patriots. 00:03:50.99\00:04:01.70 [Aud. reaction] PB: That's Sister Alston's team. [Aud. 00:04:01.74\00:04:06.64 reaction] PB: They play in the same division; they play in the same conference, but I can't 00:04:06.68\00:04:19.95 stand the Patriots. [Aud. reaction] PB: Now, the Patriots won the NFL 00:04:19.99\00:04:30.17 championship this past year. I'm not hating, but to their critics it was only one because of 00:04:30.20\00:04:44.71 Deflate-Gate. This was the accusation that the Patriots intentionally underinflated 00:04:44.75\00:04:53.96 footballs in the AFC championship game against the Indianapolis Colts--the game 00:04:53.99\00:05:01.93 they had to win to get to the Super Bowl. They beat the Colts, went on to the Super 00:05:01.96\00:05:12.34 Bowl, beat the Seahawks on the last play of the game, and now they're the reigning NFL champs. 00:05:12.37\00:05:20.72 Now, despite whether you like them or not, despite whether you think they cheated or not, 00:05:20.75\00:05:30.46 despite whether you think they had an unfair advantage or not, the Patriots are really good. 00:05:30.49\00:05:42.20 They have a good team, a good star quarterback in Tom Brady, and they have a no-nonsense, 00:05:42.24\00:05:52.18 say-little coach in Bill Belichick. Now, since Belichick has been the coach of the 00:05:52.21\00:06:04.56 Patriots, his team has enjoyed 14 straight winning seasons. They've enjoyed 12 playoff 00:06:04.59\00:06:11.97 appearances, 6 AFC championships, and they've won 4 Super Bowl titles. Pastor Byrd, 00:06:12.00\00:06:19.94 what does all this have to do with the sermon? Because you don't even like the Patriots, 00:06:19.97\00:06:32.35 and that is true. [Aud. reaction] PB: Hang with me for a bit. I did some reading on 00:06:32.39\00:06:43.67 Belichick. Belichick's success, which has been the team's success, is based on the premise 00:06:43.70\00:06:57.48 where he calls it a "Do Your Job" philosophy. This Do Your Job philosophy is for all 00:06:57.51\00:07:12.63 coaches, all front-office workers, all players." He says, "Everybody do what you're 00:07:12.66\00:07:29.01 supposed to do; stay in your lane; and work hard." He says, "If we do it well, we win. If we 00:07:29.04\00:07:45.09 don't do it well, we lose. So Do Your Job." The employer that has employees says Do Your Job. The 00:07:45.13\00:07:57.57 parents who give their children household chores say, Do Your Job. Jesus, before He left this 00:07:57.61\00:08:06.01 earth, left us with a simple similar mantra: Do Your Job. Everybody do what you're 00:08:06.05\00:08:12.15 supposed to do; stay in your lane, work hard, and we win. Jesus' version of Do Your Job 00:08:12.19\00:08:20.10 was "Go ye therefore, teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and 00:08:20.13\00:08:27.34 the Holy Ghost. Teaching them observe whatsoever I have commanded you. And lo I am with 00:08:27.37\00:08:34.04 you always, even unto the end of the world." Do Your Job. Now, when I think of Do Your Job, and 00:08:34.08\00:08:42.25 I apply it to biblical personalities, many individuals come to mind. Adam's job was to 00:08:42.28\00:08:50.03 name animals; Noah's job was to build an ark; Joseph's job was to be secretary of agriculture; 00:08:50.06\00:08:57.03 Moses' job was to lead the people out of Egypt; Caleb's job was to spy out the land; 00:08:57.07\00:09:06.37 Joshua's job was simply to just march; Gideon's job was to fight; Naaman's job was to dip 00:09:06.41\00:09:16.15 in some water; Mordecai's job was to train and prepare Esther; David's job was to kill Goliath; 00:09:16.18\00:09:25.86 Solomon's job was to build the temple; Hezekiah's job was to stay on the wall. Everybody had 00:09:25.89\00:09:30.73 a job, and they were to do their job. Now we shift, and we come to the New Testament. 00:09:30.77\00:09:39.01 Things take on a different philosophy because now the Messiah, Jesus, the Christ, 00:09:39.04\00:09:46.82 comes into the picture. Jesus has a stated job. Matthew 1:21, "And she shall bring forth a 00:09:46.85\00:09:56.46 son." "Thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shalt save his people from their" what, 00:09:56.49\00:10:02.86 everybody? Aud.: Sins. PB: But before Jesus comes, there's another person who has a job. 00:10:02.90\00:10:06.43 His job was to be the forerunner. His job was to be the way-preparer. His job was to 00:10:06.47\00:10:12.51 be the modern-day Elijah. His job was to be a precursor to the coming of Jesus Christ. His name 00:10:12.54\00:10:18.71 was John the Baptist. Now, John and Jesus both had been consecrated for God's service 00:10:18.75\00:10:25.85 from their mothers' wombs, which means they had a job, they had a purpose, before they were even 00:10:25.89\00:10:33.13 born. I wish I had a witness in this place. [Aud. reaction] PB: Even their names mean they 00:10:33.16\00:10:43.17 were divinely selected. Both sets of parents, both mothers-- who were cousins by the way--had 00:10:43.20\00:10:49.81 been told by angels of the significant roles that their offspring would play in the 00:10:49.84\00:10:58.19 redemption of people. Both of their births were in a sense miraculous. John was born of 00:10:58.22\00:11:06.70 Elizabeth, who had been long barren and considered incapable of conceiving children. Jesus 00:11:06.73\00:11:15.04 had been born of Mary, a virgin who had conceived through the Holy Ghost. Both John and Jesus 00:11:15.07\00:11:21.54 complimented each other as much in their differences as in their similarities of their commitment 00:11:21.58\00:11:31.29 to righteousness, to truth, and the kingdom of God. John preached the judgment; Jesus 00:11:31.32\00:11:37.39 preached the good news. John wore camel's hair; Jesus wore a seamless robe. John baptized 00:11:37.43\00:11:43.93 with water; Jesus baptized with the Holy Ghost. John's ministry was rural; Jesus' ministry was 00:11:43.97\00:11:50.81 urban. John basically stayed in one place; Jesus, because he's omnipresent, went everywhere. 00:11:50.84\00:12:00.62 John performed no miracle; Jesus restored sight to the blind. John ate wild honey and locusts; 00:12:00.65\00:12:07.62 Jesus ate traditional food of His culture. John's lifestyle was that of a hermit; Jesus was 00:12:07.66\00:12:15.46 more of a social being, going to banquets and feasts and dinners when he was invited. Between 00:12:15.50\00:12:21.50 Jesus and John the Baptist there were enough similarities and differences to satisfy the 00:12:21.54\00:12:28.88 religious palates of any sincere searcher. What a team. John the Baptist and Jesus. But the 00:12:28.91\00:12:36.35 interesting thing, as I study Mark chapter 1 is, they both had a job: John, to prepare the way 00:12:36.38\00:12:42.99 of the Lord; Jesus, to seek and to save that which was lost. But today let's focus a bit more on 00:12:43.02\00:12:49.76 John and his job, because it's John's job that sets the stage for our jobs today. Now, 00:12:49.80\00:12:54.20 anytime God is getting ready to do something big, God sends a messenger to foretell what He's 00:12:54.24\00:12:57.77 getting ready to do. He sent Noah to preach "It's going to rain." He sent Elijah to tell 00:12:57.81\00:13:03.11 Ahab and Jezebel of their impending doom. He sent Jonah to warn the people of Nineveh. He 00:13:03.14\00:13:10.22 sent Jeremiah to cry aloud to the people. You will remember that God promised to send his 00:13:10.25\00:13:18.89 messenger before the children of Israel as they journeyed through the wilderness to the Promised 00:13:18.93\00:13:32.71 Land. You will also remember, friends of mine, that years later the prophet spoke of the 00:13:32.74\00:13:40.22 coming Day when there would be another journey through the wilderness and Moses would lead 00:13:40.25\00:13:47.82 the way. Another Moses, rather, would lead the way. Isaiah, chapter 40, verse 3 tells us 00:13:47.86\00:13:57.13 that John is this messenger, because it speaks the same language of Mark chapter 1, 00:13:57.17\00:14:08.98 verse 3. "The voice of one crying in the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord." 00:14:09.01\00:14:19.32 So then the people knew there was going to be a messenger. They knew a forerunner to the 00:14:19.35\00:14:27.13 coming of God, but the people were waiting for the appearance of a prophet like Moses. They 00:14:27.13\00:14:37.44 weren't looking for somebody like John. They weren't looking for somebody with camel's hair, 00:14:37.47\00:14:45.05 sporting a homemade leather belt, eating locusts and honey. They were looking for somebody 00:14:45.08\00:14:52.42 in a shirt, a suit, and a tie. I mean, the King of kings, being ushered in by somebody who eats 00:14:52.45\00:15:00.46 bugs and honey? John wasn't a religious scholar. John didn't have letters behind his name. 00:15:00.50\00:15:05.57 John was not the most intellectual man. You wouldn't look at John and expect him to 00:15:05.60\00:15:11.64 be the forerunner of the Most High God. John was a blue-collar guy. Ordinary brother. Regular 00:15:11.67\00:15:17.65 fellow. And here is the God of the universe calling John to be His chosen mouthpiece to 00:15:17.68\00:15:23.45 foretell the world about His soon-coming Son. You all don't hear what I'm saying. But that's 00:15:23.49\00:15:30.19 just like God, always rooting for the underdog. Always pulling for the last, the lost, the 00:15:30.23\00:15:38.13 least, the unlucky and the left out. God often chooses people in His service that other people 00:15:38.17\00:15:45.34 don't like. [Aud. reaction] PB: God uses ordinary people. People like you and me who are 00:15:45.37\00:15:51.58 willing to do as He commands. Because God chooses to use what we would call foolishness to 00:15:51.61\00:15:57.89 make those of us that think we're wise truly look foolish. Man looketh on the outward 00:15:57.92\00:16:01.26 appearance but God looks on the heart. Man sees pretension but God sees commitment. Man sees 00:16:01.29\00:16:10.40 desecration but God sees dedication. God is sovereign. God can do what He wants, when 00:16:10.43\00:16:15.70 He wants, where he wants and how He wants. God's thoughts are not our thoughts. God's ways are not 00:16:15.74\00:16:19.77 our ways. The rabbis had the best robes, but John had camel's hair and ate locusts. The 00:16:19.81\00:16:27.48 Pharisees could pontificate in prayer, but John preached the Advent message. The Pharisees 00:16:27.52\00:16:34.96 and the priests could hoop in their sermons, but John had the Holy Ghost. [Aud. reaction] PB: 00:16:34.99\00:16:42.56 John preached the Word of God. John preached the message. John was not a salesman. He didn't 00:16:42.60\00:16:52.81 try to sweet talk you into anything. John wasn't a politician trying to make his 00:16:52.84\00:17:03.49 words match into whatever the popular opinion of the day because John knew you couldn't 00:17:03.52\00:17:11.49 be popular and prophetic at the same time. John didn't care what people thought of him. He didn't 00:17:11.53\00:17:20.50 care what people said about him. John preached a message that would hit you straight in your 00:17:20.54\00:17:29.11 heart. John would say, "I'm not just another guy trying to get you to come to church." But John 00:17:29.14\00:17:34.02 says, "I've got a special job. I've got a special calling." John said, "I've got a divine 00:17:34.05\00:17:41.89 directive: Prepare the way of the Lord. Make the paths straight." John's job was to be 00:17:41.92\00:17:51.53 the forerunner, the precursor, the predecessor to prepare the people for the coming Messiah. 00:17:51.57\00:18:01.61 That was John's job. But you know what? We also have a similar job. Jesus gave us the 00:18:01.64\00:18:08.68 great Gospel Commission. Everybody, do what you're supposed to do. Do Your Job. 00:18:08.72\00:18:13.52 Stay in your lane. Work hard, and we win. John was to prepare people for Jesus' first coming, 00:18:13.56\00:18:20.00 and our job is to prepare people for the Second Coming. [Aud. reaction] PB: Now, this is one 00:18:20.03\00:18:26.07 of my old-school sermons. If there were ever a time where we needed to do our job, it's now. 00:18:26.10\00:18:35.44 Let me try that one more time. If there were ever a time where the people of God need to do 00:18:35.48\00:18:43.39 their job, it's now. If you look at what happened in this world just this week, you have to ask 00:18:43.42\00:18:53.23 yourself: what in the world is going on? I mean, when people are-- can I preach this a little 00:18:53.26\00:18:59.87 minute? When people aren't safe in prayer meetings, you know we're in trouble. I mean, prayer 00:18:59.90\00:19:03.14 meetings? I mean, we're talking about greater security now, in the church. Talking about more 00:19:03.17\00:19:06.98 cameras now in the church. Talking about, we may have to get metal detectors in the 00:19:07.01\00:19:13.52 church. Who would have thought that in 2015, black people wouldn't be safe in a church on 00:19:13.55\00:19:22.82 Wednesday night? [Aud. reaction] PB: This isn't the 1960s. This isn't 16th Street Baptist 00:19:22.86\00:19:31.07 Church in Birmingham. And you know what? It isn't, 'cause it's worse. The young man said he 00:19:31.10\00:19:37.91 wanted to kill black people He said he wanted to cause a race war. Not only is it bad that he 00:19:37.94\00:19:44.88 wanted to start a race war, but he wanted to start it in the church! [Aud. reaction] PB: 00:19:44.91\00:19:52.52 Let me throw this in. I know this is taped, but I'm going to say it anyhow. Please know that 00:19:52.55\00:19:56.83 for just as many people who shun his actions, there are just as many people who support his 00:19:56.86\00:20:00.96 actions. [Aud. reaction] PB: What in the world is going on? But not only that, 2015 with all 00:20:00.96\00:20:06.60 of our sophisticated intelligence. How is it that two prisoners can escape a 00:20:06.63\00:20:10.57 maximum-security state prison and in three weeks only one was found, shot and killed 00:20:10.61\00:20:19.08 yesterday? But the other is still on the loose. What kind of world do we live in, where a 00:20:19.11\00:20:28.76 prison worker can develop affections for mass murderers, and feel the urge to help theme 00:20:28.79\00:20:36.33 escape by providing them with tools to escape. She knows they're plotting to kill her 00:20:36.36\00:20:44.41 husband. She's going to drive a getaway car and all of a sudden she gets cold feet. How is it 00:20:44.44\00:20:53.92 that a prison guard can provide them with other items, aiding their escape in exchange for 00:20:53.95\00:21:02.62 some paintings? Man, I'd have bought you some paintings. What in the world is going on? We've 00:21:02.66\00:21:08.96 had three global terrorist attacks on yesterday. In France, a severed head is found hanging 00:21:09.00\00:21:15.14 from a fence; a decapitated body is found in the suspect's van. In Tunisia, three men open 00:21:15.17\00:21:22.74 gunfire on beachgoers, leaving 37 dead, 36 wounded. In Kuwait, ISIS claimed responsibility for 00:21:22.78\00:21:28.38 a blast that killed 25 people at a Shiite-affiliated mosque. But all of this is overshadowed by 00:21:28.42\00:21:36.29 yesterday's 5-4 decision of the Supreme Court to legalize same-sex marriage in the United 00:21:36.32\00:21:40.93 States, which potentially threatens religious freedom. You've got people saying, "Well, 00:21:40.96\00:21:47.17 it doesn't affect me." Yes, it does. And when religious freedom is threatened, you know what's 00:21:47.20\00:21:53.48 next. "And he shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the 00:21:53.51\00:22:00.15 Most High, to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and 00:22:00.18\00:22:09.62 times and the dividing of time." You've got the Pope calling for unity; reconciliation of all 00:22:09.66\00:22:13.96 faith groups and denominations. And I was taught as a little boy, whenever you hear peace and 00:22:14.00\00:22:21.50 safety, know there's sudden destruction. Dragon--I'm going to preach it. Others may not 00:22:21.54\00:22:26.24 preach it, but I'm going to preach it-- "The dragon was wroth with the woman, and went 00:22:26.27\00:22:32.58 to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have 00:22:32.61\00:22:40.76 the faith of Jesus Christ." Hallelujah, somebody. Church, we've got a job to do. [Aud. 00:22:40.79\00:22:44.89 reaction] PB: Prepare ye the way of the Lord. I may be by myself, but I'm going to prepare 00:22:44.93\00:22:55.84 the way. [Aud. reaction] PB: Be the forerunner. Preach the gospel, in season and out of 00:22:55.87\00:23:05.68 season. I hear people tell me, "Pastor, folk don't want to hear about the true Church. I've got 00:23:05.71\00:23:15.86 130 witnesses and testimonies in San Antonio, Texas, that will hear this gospel! [Aud. 00:23:15.89\00:23:25.73 reaction] PB: Preach the gospel, whether it's popular or not. Aud.: Amen. PB: Preach 00:23:25.77\00:23:32.17 the gospel, whether you like it or not. [Aud. reaction] PB: Preach the gospel. Do Your Job. 00:23:32.21\00:23:37.41 Our world is secular. Our world is postmodern. Our world is different. Our world is not 00:23:37.45\00:23:43.42 Christian. Our morals are low, our churches are dying, our people are sleeping in church. 00:23:43.45\00:23:50.76 Do you realize what's going on? Wrong seems right. Right seems wrong. Do Your Job! People are 00:23:50.79\00:23:57.00 getting tired now. Folk are getting tired. Folk tired of revelation without relevance. 00:23:57.03\00:24:06.94 Folk are tired of plastic, phony, lifeless, flat, comatose ministry. People are tired of 00:24:06.98\00:24:16.95 coming to church and getting hollered at. People leave church, and they don't even know 00:24:16.99\00:24:25.76 what the message is about. People are tired of seeing the emphasis of policy placed over 00:24:25.79\00:24:34.27 the needs of people. People are tired of never getting delivered from their problems. People are 00:24:34.30\00:24:42.01 tired of being unable to come to a church where they can share their burdens and problems, 00:24:42.04\00:24:48.65 simply because they are afraid of what other folk may say after they come clean. [Aud. reaction] 00:24:48.68\00:24:55.96 PB: Folk are tired of judgmental, legalistic, finger-pointing folk finding 00:24:55.99\00:25:04.27 holier-than-thou attitudes. People are getting tired of watching all these preachers, 00:25:04.30\00:25:12.87 hearing about tithe there ain't nobody getting blessed but the preacher. [Aud. reaction] PB: 00:25:12.91\00:25:18.68 Folk getting tired of coming to church, no transformation. Leaving the same way they came. 00:25:18.71\00:25:20.62 We've got to get the point, back to the books. We've got to get back to the point where we 00:25:20.65\00:25:30.29 believe in this Word. I believe in this Word. I believe I can step on demons. I believe I can 00:25:30.33\00:25:38.80 tread on serpents. I believe that God's got the power to speak to somebody's life and 00:25:38.83\00:25:45.04 lift them up off their sickbed of affliction. I'm the top, not the bottom. The head, not the 00:25:45.07\00:25:51.78 tail. Above, not beneath. The lender and not the borrower. If you don't believe this Word, 00:25:51.81\00:25:58.65 then get out of my way, in the name of Jesus. [Aud. reaction] PB: God is coming back for a 00:25:58.69\00:26:05.16 people without spot or wrinkle. He's coming back for a people that believe in this Word. Not 00:26:05.19\00:26:11.50 only do they believe in this Word, they believe in this work. They believe in this--what, 00:26:11.53\00:26:19.87 everybody? Aud.: Work. PB: I'm tired of folk bashing the church. Do Your Job. Stay in 00:26:19.91\00:26:27.45 your lane. Work hard, and we win. I said, Do Your Job, stay in your lane, work hard, and we 00:26:27.48\00:26:35.92 win. We will win against this fight against sin. In the Lord's work today there are a great 00:26:35.96\00:26:42.80 variety of jobs that need to be done. Not just jobs around this church, but jobs that need to be 00:26:42.83\00:26:49.84 done in the lives of people. Somewhere today there's a sick child who needs medicine but his 00:26:49.87\00:26:59.11 parents can't afford it. Somewhere today, there's a boy who needs a new pair of shoes 00:26:59.15\00:27:07.72 but his mom and daddy can't afford it. Somewhere today, there's a child that nobody 00:27:07.76\00:27:16.46 wants. Somewhere today, there's a meal that needs to be fixed. Somewhere today, there's a house 00:27:16.50\00:27:25.41 that needs to be painted; grass that needs to be cut; lights that need to be kept on. 00:27:25.44\00:27:34.05 Somewhere today, there's a person that needs to be shown some kindness. Somewhere today, 00:27:34.08\00:27:39.35 there's an older person who needs help. Somewhere today, there's somebody on dope who 00:27:39.39\00:27:43.36 wants to get off. Somewhere today, there's a teen mother who is overwhelmed and feels like 00:27:43.39\00:27:49.10 giving up. Somewhere today, there's a God-ordained marriage between a man and a woman that's 00:27:49.13\00:27:54.60 on its way to divorce court. Somewhere today, there's someone who wants to go to heaven, but 00:27:54.64\00:27:59.07 they just don't know how. Look around you. Look at yourself. Look in the mirror. Learn to see 00:27:59.11\00:28:08.45 people the way God sees them. Learn to look around with the eyes of God; see their hurts, 00:28:08.48\00:28:12.05 see their needs, see their longings. People need hope today. Do Your Job! There are a 00:28:12.09\00:28:17.63 lot of people who work and they're very busy around the church. But I'm not sure they're 00:28:17.66\00:28:24.33 doing the Lord's work in the Lord's way. [Aud. reaction] PB: You see, I've learned. I'm 00:28:24.37\00:28:39.38
