01:11 Speak, your servants heareth. 01:16 Hide us behind the cross of Thy Son, Christ Jesus. 01:20 It's in the name of Jesus we pray. 01:22 Let everyone say amen. 01:23 Aud.: Amen. 01:24 PB: And amen. 01:26 Aud.: Amen. 01:27 PB: Thy kingdom come. 01:33 When I consider the state of our world today, we're 01:35 in trouble. 01:36 [Aud. reaction] PB: We've got a Malaysian plane 01:39 that is missing, and with all of our technology 01:42 and expertise, we can't find where it is. 01:45 [Aud. reaction] PB: We've got an apartment 01:48 building that goes down in Harlem, New York, 01:51 and no one seems to know the real root or cause 01:55 of this catastrophe. 01:57 [Aud. reaction] PB: We're on the brink 02:01 of war in Russia. 02:03 Syria is out of control. 02:06 War is still rampant in the Middle East, and we now 02:10 have a pope calling for unity. 02:13 He's saying, don't worry about whether you're 02:15 a protestant or a Catholic, let's just all come together 02:19 for the sake of peace. 02:20 But let me remind you, when the Bible says that you 02:23 hear peace and safety, be concerned, because 02:26 there's sudden destruction. 02:27 [Aud. reaction] PB: Crime in the United States 02:30 is on the rise. 02:33 People can't find jobs, money is low, homes are destroyed 02:36 daily, husbands and wives aren't making it, children 02:39 aren't making it, identity issues are rampant. 02:43 [Aud. reaction] PB: People dying left and right, 02:46 not just older folk either, young folk. 02:48 And I must confess tonight, I've said it on numerous 02:50 occasions, that I've been in the church all my life. 02:54 Was born in the church. 02:58 But I must confess tonight that I used to wonder, 03:01 and I would see people praise God in church. 03:05 I would see them lift their hands and wave their hands 03:08 and clap their hands and stomp their feet in church, 03:10 and you look at people, and you really don't know what 03:14 some folk have been through just to get where they are. 03:17 [Aud. reaction] PB: But I've gotten a little 03:21 older now, a little wiser now. 03:23 Got some experience now. 03:25 I've seen some things in life, I've observed some 03:28 things in life, and I better now understand why some folk 03:32 praise God like they do. 03:35 [Aud. reaction] PB: I better understand 03:37 why some folk just cry when they come in the presence 03:39 of God. 03:40 I better understand why some people shout "Glory!" 03:43 when they come into the house and presence of God. 03:46 I better understand why people just say amen when 03:50 they come in the presence of God, because you do know 03:54 that how we respond to God has everything to do with our 03:57 knowledge about how God responds to us. 04:00 [Aud. reaction] PB: You see, we come 04:02 to church, we come to revival like we do tonight, 04:04 and you don't realize what some folk have been 04:06 through just to get here. 04:08 Their hats, their suits, their ties, their bowties, 04:13 don't tell the story. 04:15 Some folk have been bruised, but they're here. 04:18 [Aud. reaction] PB: Some folk have been 04:20 battered, but they're here. 04:24 Some folk have been talked about, but they're here. 04:28 Laid off, but they're here. 04:30 There are some folk in this place that don't have 04:33 a dollar to their name. 04:34 [Aud. reaction] PB: But they're here. 04:36 Somebody's in stage 3 or 4 of cancer, but they're here. 04:40 Some folk have come out of some messy situations, some 04:44 divorces that you thought you wouldn't make it out of, 04:48 but you're here. 04:49 Some folk have lost everything and appeared 04:51 that they were going to lose their mind, but they're here. 04:54 When it's difficult to understand, it's difficult 04:56 to relate to somebody who has been the recipient of God's 04:58 goodness, because these people are often people who 05:01 express themselves in ways that some of you all just 05:04 don't understand. 05:06 You see, when all else has failed you, and you have 05:10 nothing else and nobody else to sustain you but God, 05:14 you will learn how to praise God like you don't care. 05:21 I mean, has anybody seen God pay some rent? 05:24 [Aud. reaction] PB: When you didn't have 05:27 the money. 05:28 Have you seen God put food on your table when you 05:31 didn't have money to buy food? 05:33 When you've seen God pay your tuition, young people - 05:37 [Aud. reaction] PB: When the loan check 05:39 got lost in financial aid. 05:41 I wish I had a witness in this place. 05:43 [Aud. reaction] PB: When you've seen God 05:45 stretch your dollars when you are between jobs. 05:47 When you've seen God take you or a family member off 05:51 their sickbed of affliction. 05:52 When the doctors said there was nothing else they could do. 05:55 When you see God rescue you, you've seen God save your 05:59 life. 06:00 When all the people you grew up with are nowhere to be found 06:03 and God just saved you, and you're wondering 06:07 where all your friends are. 06:08 You ask God, "God, what have I done to deserve all 06:11 of this goodness?" 06:12 When you've been the recipient of God's goodness and grace 06:15 in that way, your praise is so real. 06:17 Aud.: Hallelujah! 06:18 PB: Your praise is so heartfelt. 06:20 You don't care where you are. 06:22 You don't care what part of the service we're at. 06:25 You don't care even who's looking at you, but you have 06:29 the kind of response to God's goodness that transcends your 06:34 situation and you're able to be in your car, on your way 06:37 to church before you even got here tonight, and you have 06:40 your own praise service. 06:41 [Aud. reaction] PB: You're the type of person 06:43 who can stand in line at the grocery store, 06:45 and you have a praise service. 06:47 You can go to the hospital and you can say "You know 06:49 what? 06:50 That's where I'm supposed to be right now. 06:52 But God's been good to me." 06:55 You're the type of person that can testify, "When 06:57 I think of the goodness of Jesus, and all He's done 07:01 for me, my soul cries out, Hallelujah, thank God, 07:03 for saving me!" 07:08 Because I know somebody thinks your alarm clock woke 07:10 you up this morning. 07:11 But let's take that same alarm clock to the nearest 07:14 cemetery. 07:16 Nobody would get up. 07:17 But God woke you up this morning. 07:20 God started you on your way. 07:22 God put food on your table and clothing on your back. 07:27 And I get concerned when folk come to church and sit there 07:31 like lumps on a log. 07:32 As if God hasn't kept you, as if God hasn't raised you, 07:38 as if God hasn't saved you, as if God hasn't rewarded you, 07:43 as if God hasn't picked you up out of the miry clay 07:48 and placed your feet on solid ground to say, "I will bless 07:53 the Lord at all times!" 07:55 [Aud. reaction] PB: Let's go to the beginning 07:58 on why we need to praise Him like we should. 08:03 Satan wanted to be like God. 08:05 He wanted to be like I want to be, as the Most High. 08:11 I must confess tonight, I would have been happy being 08:13 last on the totem pole in heaven. 08:16 I just would have wanted to be in heaven. 08:18 Do I have a witness in this place? 08:20 [Aud. reaction] PB: For Satan 08:22 wanted to be like God. 08:23 You can't have two cooks in the kitchen. 08:25 The Bible says "There was war in heaven." 08:27 Michael, Jesus, fought against the dragon. 08:30 The dragon prevailed not, it was cast into this earth 08:33 and his number one job has been to deceive. 08:37 Has been to what, everybody? 08:38 Aud.: Deceive. 08:39 PB: Adam and Eve were in the Garden in Genesis 08:41 chapter 3. They're wandering around the garden. 08:44 God told them don't wander from each other. 08:46 God told them stay close to one another. 08:48 But they began to wander in the Garden. 08:51 God told them, don't go around the tree of knowledge 08:53 of good and evil. 08:54 Stay away from it. 08:56 But we recognize, curiosity killed them. 08:59 Eve begins to wonder. 09:00 She goes and gets some of the fruit. 09:03 Satan deceives her and says you will not die, and God 09:06 said "Yes, if you eat, you will surely" what? 09:08 Die. 09:09 Adam and Eve got in trouble, hanging around the tree. 09:16 A lot of us get in trouble hanging around the tree. 09:22 There are some trees in our lives that God has told us 09:25 don't touch. 09:26 [Aud. reaction] PB: There are some trees 09:28 in our lives that God told us don't go near. 09:30 But too many of us get in trouble because 09:33 we're hanging around the trees. 09:35 Adam and Eve were hanging around the tree, and because 09:37 they were hanging around the tree, they got hung 09:39 on the tree. 09:40 Satan deceived Adam and Eve, they disobeyed God. 09:43 They sinned. 09:44 They what, everybody? 09:45 Aud.: Sinned. 09:46 PB: And their sin passed through one man, sin is now 09:48 passed on all men. 09:50 So what do we have here now? 09:51 We have here where the Apostle Paul says, "All have sinned 09:54 and come short of the glory of God." 09:58 All of us have messed up. 10:00 There are no big Is and little Yous. 10:03 All of us have sinned and come short of the glory of God. 10:07 Satan thought he had God cornered, but Satan is no 10:11 match for the Almighty God. 10:13 We recognize that God had to do something. 10:17 God said, "Listen, my folk have sinned so there 10:20 is a need for a Savior." 10:21 God had to deliver. 10:23 Either He was going to destroy sin, 10:25 or start all over. 10:27 God's solution says, I'm going to send My Son. 10:30 Jesus Christ. 10:31 For God so loved the world that He gave His only 10:35 begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not 10:37 perish but have everlasting life." 10:41 Which means we can now receive forgiveness from sin 10:44 through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. 10:48 Hallelujah, somebody. 10:49 There will be no more need for sacrificing lambs like they 10:52 did in the Old Testament, because now behold, 10:55 the Lamb of God which taketh away the sins 10:57 of the world. 10:58 There is no other name under heaven whereby we can 11:01 be saved but the name of Jesus. 11:02 So Jesus had to come as a babe wrapped in swaddling 11:07 clothes, lying in a manger, at His first coming. 11:10 He came to save His people. 11:13 Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. 11:16 And now she shall bring forth a Son. 11:19 Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His 11:23 people from their sin. 11:24 He came to save His people from sin. 11:28 He came to save His people from lying. 11:31 He came to save His people from adultery. 11:33 He came to save His people from stealing. 11:36 He came to save His people from doubt. 11:38 He came to save His people from depression. 11:40 He came to seek and to save the lost, that's why He came 11:44 the first time. 11:46 He came to save His people. 11:48 The Bible teaches that whosoever believeth on the name 11:50 of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved. 11:54 But sadly in 2014, March 22nd, everybody doesn't 11:57 believe on Jesus. 11:58 Everybody doesn't believe He's the Waymaker. 12:01 That He's a Company Keeper. 12:03 That' He's a Trouble Solver. 12:04 That He's a Bridge Over Troubled Waters. 12:07 Everybody does not believe He has power to save, and so now 12:10 we've got a world full of mess. 12:12 [Aud. reaction] PB: It's one of confusion. 12:14 Every day somebody's dying. 12:16 Every day somebody's victimized. 12:19 Every day some child goes to bed hungry. 12:22 Every day our world in which we live is sick. 12:25 This is not what God intended for His people. 12:30 [Aud. reaction] PB: If anybody's sick, 12:32 if you're like me you call a doctor. 12:35 And so I call on Jesus. 12:39 Because we live in a sick world and my Bible says 12:42 that one day Dr. Jesus is going to come back. 12:45 His kingdom is going to come in its fullness. 12:48 He's coming back to this earth to get His people. 12:53 The first time He came, He came to save His people. 12:57 The second time He comes, He's coming to get his people. 13:00 Let not your heart be troubled. 13:03 Do you believe in God? 13:04 Believe also in Me. 13:06 In My Father's House there are many mansions. 13:08 If it were not so, I would have told you. 13:10 I'm going to go and prepare a place for you, and if I go 13:12 and prepare a place for you. 13:13 I will come again and receive you unto Myself, that where 13:15 I am, there ye may be also. 13:16 This is what Christianity and the Christian life 13:18 is all about, looking forward to Jesus' second coming. 13:20 This is what we all should be looking for, because eyes 13:24 have not seen neither ears heard the things that God 13:26 has prepared for them that love Him. 13:28 So, Jesus is coming back the second time. 13:32 [Aud. reaction] PB: The first time, He came 13:35 to save His people. 13:37 The second time, He's coming to get His people. 13:39 So He's coming back to get us and we're looking forward 13:41 to His coming back, but when is He coming back? 13:48 We've got a lot of folk in the United States who 13:50 are being deceived by Satan. 13:52 Not only in the U.S. 13:53 but abroad, people deceived by Satan giving a time line 13:56 of when Jesus is going to come back. 13:58 But when does the Bible say He's going to come back? 14:00 This is a Bible revival. 14:01 Let's go to the Word of God, the book of Matthew. 14:04 What book did I say, everybody? 14:06 Aud.: Matthew. 14:07 PB: Let's go to the book of Matthew. 14:09 The Word of God says to us in Matthew, chapter 24, 14:11 verse number 36, when is Jesus coming. 14:14 The Word of God says to us tonight in Matthew, 14:16 chapter 24, and verse number 36, "But of that day and hour 14:20 knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, 14:23 but my Father" what, everybody? 14:24 Aud.: Only. 14:25 PB: "Only. 14:26 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming 14:29 of the Son of man be." 14:30 Verse 38, "For as in the days that were before the flood 14:33 they were eating and drinking." 14:34 Eating and what, everybody? 14:35 Aud.: Drinking. 14:36 PB: Marrying and giving in" what, everybody? 14:38 Aud.: Marriage. 14:39 PB: "Marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, 14:42 and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; 14:44 so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." 14:46 We don't know when Jesus is coming. 14:49 All we know is that He's coming real soon. 14:51 The Bible goes on in verse 42, "Watch, therefore: 14:53 for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come." 14:55 Verse 44, "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour 14:58 as ye think not the Son of Man cometh." 15:02 That means Jesus' second coming is soon. 15:04 But we don't know specifically when He is coming, 15:08 we just know He's coming. 15:09 So, if we don't know when He's coming, what are the signs 15:13 of His coming? 15:14 Let's get some more Word. 15:15 Go to Matthew 24, go to verse number 3. 15:18 What are the signs? 15:19 We know He's coming, we want Him to come, He's coming 15:21 to save His people. 15:22 What are the signs of His coming? 15:24 The Word of God is very clear to us tonight in Matthew 15:26 chapter 24, verse number 3. 15:28 The Word says, " And as he sat upon the mount 15:30 of Olives," the mount of what, 15:32 everybody? 15:33 Aud.: Olives. 15:34 PB: The disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, 15:36 when shall these things be? 15:37 and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end 15:39 of the" what, everybody? 15:40 Aud.: World. 15:41 PB: "Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no 15:43 man deceive you. 15:44 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; 15:46 and shall deceive many. 15:47 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye 15:49 be not troubled: for all these things must come 15:51 to pass, but the end is not" what, everybody? 15:53 Aud.: Yet. 15:54 PB: All right. 15:55 The signs. 15:56 Nation shall rise against nation." 15:58 We've got that going on right now. 16:00 "Kingdom against kingdom." 16:01 We've got that going on right now. 16:03 "And there shall be famines." 16:04 We have that going on right now. 16:06 "Pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 16:08 All these are the beginning of sorrows." 16:12 Verse number 9 in the Word continues, "Then shall they 16:14 deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: 16:16 and ye shall be hated of all nations 16:18 for my name's sake. 16:19 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, 16:22 and shall hate one another. 16:23 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 16:25 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many 16:27 shall wax cold. 16:28 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be" 16:32 what, everybody? 16:33 Aud.: Saved. 16:34 PB: But comes, "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached 16:41 in all the world for a witness unto all nations; 16:43 and then shall the end" what, everybody? 16:45 Aud.: Come. 16:46 PB: So we don't know when He's coming, 16:48 but we know the signs. 16:49 Wars and rumors of wars. 16:50 Nations against nations, kingdoms against kingdoms, 16:53 deception will be rampant. 16:55 All of these things will take place in different places. 16:58 Many false prophets shall arise. 17:01 Iniquity then shall abound so the love of many shall 17:05 wax cold. 17:06 But God says you've got to endure to the end. 17:09 We don't know when He's coming, but we know 17:11 He's coming soon. 17:12 We see the signs of His coming, but since we don't know 17:14 when He's coming we just have to be ready every minute 17:17 of the hour for His soon return. 17:19 Now, quickly, how will Jesus return? 17:21 Go with me to the book of Acts. 17:22 What book, everybody? 17:23 Aud.: Acts. 17:24 PB: Come on, what book, everybody? 17:26 Aud.: Acts. 17:27 PB: Acts, chapter 1. 17:28 Quickly, how will Jesus return? 17:29 The Word of God speaks to us in Acts, chapter 1, 17:31 and we're going to verse number 9. Acts chapter 1, 17:34 and we're going to verse number 9. 17:36 The Word of God says to us in Acts chapter 1 verse 9, 17:39 "And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, 17:42 he was taken" where? 17:43 Aud.: Up. 17:44 PB: Come on, He was taken where? 17:46 "Up; and a cloud received him out of their" what? 17:48 Aud.: Sight. 17:49 PB: "And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven 17:51 as he went up, behold," how many men? 17:53 Aud.: Two. 17:54 PB: "Stood by them" in what? 17:55 Aud.: White. 17:56 PB: "Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand 17:58 ye gazing up into heaven? 17:59 this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, 18:01 shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him" 18:03 what, everybody? 18:04 Aud.: Go into heaven. 18:05 PB: "As ye have seen him" what, everybody? 18:07 Aud.: Go. 18:08 PB: Go into heaven, which means then, Jesus, after He 18:11 was crucified. 18:13 After He died on Calvary's tree. 18:17 After He got up, when He ascended back to heaven, 18:21 He ascended back up in the air. 18:25 The Bible says that two angels told the people of God, 18:29 the same way He left is the same way He's coming back. 18:36 Which means then, if He left in the air, He's coming back 18:42 in the air, so if someone tells you I see Jesus walking 18:46 around in Huntsville, Alabama, you know that's a lie 18:50 from the pits of hell. 18:52 Because the say way Jesus left is the same way Jesus 18:56 is coming back. 18:57 Do I have a witness in this place? 19:00 [Aud. reaction] PB: So we know He's coming soon 19:02 to get His people. 19:03 We know the signs of how He's coming. 19:05 We know He left in the clouds, which means He's coming back 19:09 in the what? 19:10 Clouds. 19:11 Go to Revelation, chapter 1, verse number 7. 19:14 Let's get some Word. 19:16 I don't think preaching should just be decibel 19:18 levels. 19:19 If you're going to holler, say something worth hollering 19:21 about. 19:22 [Aud. reaction] PB: We've got too much 19:24 preaching and all this hollering and screaming, and we jump, 19:27 shout and scream. 19:28 When we get out of church, we don't know what we've jumped, 19:31 shouted and screamed about. 19:32 You've got to know what's in the Word, know what you 19:34 believe, know why you believe it, and know where it's found. 19:36 Are you hearing what I'm saying? 19:38 Time is over for cotton candy preaching, big and sweet 19:40 on the outside but hollow and empty on the inside. 19:43 Let's know what the Word of God says for ourselves. 19:47 The Bible says in Revelation, chapter 1, verse number 7. 19:51 If you have it, let me hear you say amen. 19:53 Aud.: Amen. 19:54 PB: The Word of God says in Revelation, chapter 1 19:56 and verse number 7, "Behold, he cometh with" what? 19:59 Aud.: Clouds. 20:00 PB: "And every" what? 20:01 Aud.: Eye. 20:02 PB: "Shall" what? 20:03 Aud.: See him. 20:04 PB: "And they also which" what? 20:06 Aud.: Pierced him. 20:07 PB: "And all kindreds of the earth shall wail because 20:09 of him. 20:10 Even so," what, everybody? 20:11 Aud.: Amen. 20:12 PB: Even the Bible has some soul. 20:15 Come on, say amen. 20:16 Aud.: Amen. 20:17 PB: Every living eye is going to see Him. 20:21 Which means, when Jesus comes back it will not be a secret 20:26 rapture. 20:27 [Aud. reaction] PB: When Jesus comes back 20:31 people in Huntsville are going to see Him the same 20:36 time people in Atlanta see Him. 20:39 People in Atlanta that see Him are going to see Him 20:42 at the same time people in New York are going 20:48 to see Him. 20:49 People in New York are going to see Him at the same time 20:51 people in Los Angeles are going to see Him. 20:53 The people in Los Angeles are going to see Him at the same 20:56 time people in London are going to see Him. 20:58 People in London are going to see Him at the same time 21:01 people in Paris are going to see Him. 21:03 People in Paris are going to see Him at the same time 21:06 people in Jamaica are going to see Him. 21:09 People in Jamaica are going to see Him at the same time 21:12 people in Trinidad and Tobago are going to see Him. 21:15 People in Trinidad and Tobago are going to see Him 21:18 at the same time people in Africa are going 21:20 to see Him. 21:27 The people in Africa are going to see Him at the same time 21:29 the people in Asia are going to see Him, because every living 21:35 eye is going to see Him, and we're going to see Him 21:41 at the same time. 21:43 [Aud. reaction] PB: So He's coming back 21:46 to get His people. 21:48 We don't know when He's coming but we know He's 21:53 coming soon. 21:54 Signs, wars, rumors of wars, kingdoms against kingdoms, 21:57 deception is rampant, the love of many is going to wax cold. 22:03 We don't know when, but we've got the signs. 22:06 And we're living in the signs right now. 22:10 The same way He left this earth is the same way He's coming back 22:16 to this earth. 22:17 He left in a cloud, He's coming back in a cloud. 22:23 When He comes back, every eye is going to see Him. 22:34 Now, if every eye is going to see Him, what are the groups 22:38 of people that will be present for His second coming? 22:44 He's coming to save us, every eye is going to see Him, 22:48 but who will compose these eyes? 22:52 Go to 1 Thessalonians, chapter 4, verse number 16. 22:58 Know what you believe, know why you believe it, know 23:04 where it's found. 23:06 First Thessalonians, chapter 4, verse number 16. 23:11 First Thessalonians, chapter 4, and verse number 16. 23:16 The Word of God says, "For the Lord himself shall 23:22 descend from heaven with a" what, everybody? 24:03 "Remain shall be caught up together with them in the" 24:06 what? 24:07 Aud.: Clouds. 24:08 PB: "To meet the Lord in the" what? 24:10 Aud.: Air. 24:11 PB: "And so shall we ever be with the" whom, everybody? 24:13 Aud.: Lord. 24:14 PB: Which means then, those persons who are righteous 24:16 and alive at Jesus' second coming, after the dead 24:19 in Christ rise first they are then going to be caught 24:22 up to meet the Lord in the air. 24:24 [Aud. reaction] PB: That makes sense. 24:27 Why would Jesus come down and get them 24:29 off this earth physically? 24:30 They've got to be caught up to meet the Lord in the air 24:32 because we just read that He's coming back the same way 24:35 He left, in the air, which means the righteous must be caught up 24:39 to meet Him in the air. 24:40 Group number one, the righteous dead. 24:44 They died. 24:45 Righteous dead, rise what?
