00:12 ♪ oh yes, he's worthy ♪ ♪ worthy of all... ♪ 00:19 ♪ all the praise. ♪ (Music) 00:23 Pastor Byrd: The Bible is clear that when Jesus Christ comes 00:24 back the righteous dead rise what? 00:26 First. 00:27 The righteous living are caught up to meet the Lord in the what? 00:28 (Aud: Air) The wicked living die at 00:30 the brightness of his what? 00:31 (Aud: Coming) The wicked dead remain what? 00:35 (Aud: Dead) The Bible goes on 00:38 and says this begins the one thousand years. 00:43 The righteous are in heaven, the wicked are dead 00:47 here on this earth. 00:49 So, what's Satan doing? 00:53 Go to Revelation 20. 00:57 What's Satan doing? 00:59 Revelation, Chapter 20, the Word of God says in verse 1: 01:04 "And I saw an angel come down 01:14 from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit 01:16 and a great chain in his hand. 01:17 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old" what, everybody? 01:20 (Aud: Serpent) Which is the what? 01:22 (Aud: Devil) And Satan, and bound him 01:24 for how long? 01:25 (Aud: Thousand years) Cast him to the bottomless pit 01:27 and shut him up. 01:29 Rascal! 01:31 Set a seal upon it that he should deceive the nations 01:34 no more, till the thousand years 01:36 should be what, everybody? 01:37 (Aud: Fulfilled) After that he must be 01:39 loosed a little what? 01:40 (Aud: Season) So, Satan then is bound 01:42 to this earth. 01:43 The Bible says he can no longer deceive during 01:46 the one thousand years. 01:47 Why can he no longer deceive? 01:49 He can't deceive because the righteous are where? 01:51 Heaven. 01:52 And the wicked are what? 01:53 Dead here on this earth. 01:56 So he can't deceive anyone. 01:57 He can't talk to anyone because everyone is either 02:01 in heaven or they're dead here on this earth. 02:05 At Jesus' second coming, first resurrection 02:09 righteous dead rise, righteous living are caught up 02:12 to meet the Lord in the air, wicked living die at 02:14 the brightness of his coming, wicked dead remain dead, 02:17 for how long, everybody? 02:18 Thousand years. 02:19 The righteous are in where? 02:21 (Aud: Heaven) The wicked are what? 02:23 (Aud: Dead) Here on this what? 02:25 (Aud: Earth) The earth is without 02:27 form, it is void, it is dark, it is black, and Satan can 02:31 no longer do what? 02:32 Deceive. 02:33 So if Satan can't deceive, if the wicked are dead, 02:41 what are the righteous doing for the one thousand 02:43 years in heaven? 02:48 Revelation 20, verse 4: "And I saw thrones, and they 02:57 sat upon them, and judgment was given." What was given 02:59 unto them, everybody? 03:00 (Aud: Judgment) And I saw the souls of them 03:02 that were beheaded for witness of Jesus, and for the word 03:04 of God, and which had not worshipped the beast. 03:06 We're going to talk about the mark of the beast, 666. 03:09 Neither his image, neither had received his mark 03:11 upon their foreheads, on in their hands; 03:13 and they lived and reigned with Christ 03:16 for how long, everybody? 03:17 (Aud: Thousand years) Verse 12: "And I saw the dead, 03:19 small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: 03:22 and another book was opened, which is the book of life: 03:24 and the dead were judged out of those things which 03:26 were written in the books, according to their works." 03:28 Verse 13: "And the sea gave up the dead 03:31 which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead 03:33 which were in them: and they were judged every man 03:36 according to his" what, everybody? 03:38 (Aud: Works) Now, the righteous 03:40 are participating in judgment. 03:43 Remember, man was a little lower than the angels 03:49 when God created him. 03:51 Satan was so successful in his deception that God was exact, 03:57 that God was mean, that God was stern, that God was rigid, 04:00 that God wasn't loving, that God was just about 04:02 judgment, judgment, judgment. 04:04 Satan was so successful in his deception, 04:07 the Bible says that he was able to deceive one-third 04:10 of the angels. 04:12 Surely, if he could deceive one-third of the angels he can 04:14 deceive you and me. 04:15 Adam and Eve were in the garden, God said don't eat the fruit 04:24 of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. 04:26 Eve was wandering in the garden. 04:29 Wandering, not sure if I've preached this sermon, 04:32 hanging around the tree. 04:34 Too many of us get in trouble because we hang around a tree, 04:36 and all of us got trees. 04:43 Eve is hanging around the tree. 04:46 Satan deceives her. 04:49 You can eat this fruit. 04:50 It looks good. 04:51 It tastes good. 04:52 Go ahead, eat it. 04:53 Sure enough, she's deceived. 04:54 So if Satan can deceive angels, if Satan can deceive Adam 04:58 and Eve, who at that point knew no sin, 05:00 don't you know Satan will deceive you? 05:02 Don't you know Satan knows the Bible better than you? 05:05 He can quote Scripture better than you. 05:08 He understands doctrine and Word of God better than you. 05:13 The devil goes to church, too. 05:21 So, he was successful in deceiving the angels. 05:24 God's character must be vindicated. 05:27 So during the one thousand years the righteous are in heaven 05:30 and they are participating in judgment. 05:32 And they are looking over the books of how you, 05:34 how I, how we have lived and they're seeing why everyone 05:40 is going to get their just reward. 05:42 Because, see, when you get to heaven it's going to be 05:44 the funniest thing, those you thought would 05:46 be there won't be there. 05:48 Those you thought wouldn't be there will be there. 05:51 And if you're like me, thank you, Lord. 05:53 that I'm here! 05:56 But the people of God will be able to look over the books 05:59 to see just why everyone has received their just reward. 06:04 Because, remember, God is not willing that any should perish, 06:06 but all should come to repentance. 06:08 God is going to do everything he can to save you. 06:15 All right, so. 06:16 Jesus comes back the second time. 06:18 First resurrection, the dead in Christ rise what? 06:22 (Aud: First) We which are alive are caught 06:24 up to meet the Lord in the? 06:25 (Aud: Air) The wicked living die at the brightness 06:27 of his what? 06:28 (Aud: Coming) The wicked dead remain 06:30 what? 06:31 (Aud: Dead) The righteous are in where? 06:33 (Aud: Heaven) The wicked are what? 06:35 (Aud: Dead) Here on this what? 06:37 Earth. 06:38 Satan can no longer do what? 06:39 (Aud: Deceive) Because the wicked are what? 06:41 (Aud: Dead) The righteous are in heaven 06:43 participating in what? 06:44 (Aud: Judgment) So what happens at the end 06:49 of the millennium? 06:51 Go back to Revelation 20, verse 5: "But the rest 06:57 of the dead lived not again until the thousand years 06:59 were finished. 07:00 This is the first resurrection." 07:02 Which means there's a second resurrection and the rest 07:06 of the dead rise in this second resurrection at the end 07:09 of the one thousand years. 07:11 Let's get some more. 07:13 So at the end of the one thousand years there's 07:15 a resurrection and this is a resurrection 07:18 of the wicked. 07:19 A resurrection of the what, everybody? 07:21 Come on, resurrection of the what, everybody? 07:23 Wicked. 07:24 A resurrection of the wicked. 07:25 Now go to Revelation 21. 07:26 We're still there in Revelation. 07:28 The Word of God says in Revelation 21: 2. 07:30 What happened? 07:31 At the end of the one thousand years, John says he "saw 07:34 the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God 07:39 out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned 07:41 for her husband. 07:42 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, 07:44 Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he 07:46 will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, 07:48 and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 07:50 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, 07:55 and there shall be no more" what, everybody? 07:57 (Aud: Death) No more sorrow, nor crying, neither shall 07:59 there be any more pain: for the former things are what, 08:02 everybody? 08:03 (Aud: Passed away) Which means then, 08:05 at the second coming of Jesus, the first resurrection. 08:08 The dead in Christ rise first, we which are alive are caught up 08:13 to meet the Lord in the air, the wicked dead 08:15 remain dead, the wicked living die at the brightness 08:17 of his coming. 08:18 One thousand years. 08:19 The righteous are in heaven participating in judgment. 08:22 Satan is on this earth. 08:23 He can no longer deceive because the wicked are dead. 08:26 At the end of the one thousand years there's 08:28 another resurrection. 08:31 At the end of one thousand years there's a resurrection 08:34 of the wicked. 08:36 But then, the Bible says, God shall come down 08:40 out of heaven with the new Jerusalem as a bride 08:43 adorned for her husband. 08:47 Which means, friends of mine, he's coming now for 08:50 the third time and he's coming for the third time 08:54 with his people. 08:55 Which means then, has Satan had a change of heart? 08:59 Go to Revelation 20, verse 7. 09:01 Quickly. Revelation 20: 7: "And when the thousand years 09:05 are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his" what? 09:09 (Aud: Prison) That makes sense. 09:11 He's loose out of his prison now because they're at the end 09:14 of the one thousand years, there's been a resurrection. 09:16 Verse 8, the Word of God goes on: 09:18 "And he shall go out to deceive the nations which are in 09:21 the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, 09:24 to gather them together to battle: the number of whom 09:27 is as the sand of the" what, everybody? 09:29 (Aud: Sea) Here is Satan, end of one 09:32 thousand years, the wicked have been resurrected. 09:35 He now seeks to deceive them one more time. 09:38 I can hear him say to them, not me. 09:47 Had to catch myself. 09:49 I can imagine him saying to them, I resurrected you. 09:55 I've got resurrection power. 09:58 We can overthrow Jesus and his people. 10:02 Come now everybody. 10:04 And the Bible says the number of these wicked folk 10:08 are so great it is the number as the sand of the sea. 10:14 The Bible says that when Noah preached 120 years, eight people 10:19 got in the boat. 10:20 The Bible says, as it was in the days of Noah, 10:23 so it shall also be in the coming 10:25 of the Son of Man. 10:26 Which means, everybody talking about heaven ain't going. 10:30 Which means just because it's popular it may 10:33 not be right. 10:34 You better know the Word of God for yourself and not follow 10:38 other people. 10:40 The number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 10:45 The Bible goes on in Revelation 20, verse 9. 10:49 The Word says: "And they went up 10:51 on the breadth of the earth, and compassed" or encircled 10:54 "the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city." 10:57 And what came down from God, everybody? 10:59 Come on, what came down from God? 11:01 (Aud: Fire) And then what, everybody? 11:03 Fire came down and devoured them. 11:06 The Bible goes on and says in verse 10: 11:08 "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of" 11:11 what, everybody? 11:12 Fire and brimstone, where the 11:15 beast and false prophets prophet are and shall be tormented 11:16 day and night as long as they shall live. 11:20 What is this fire called? 11:22 Verse 14: "And death and hell were cast into the lake of" 11:25 what, everybody? 11:26 (Aud: Fire) This is the second what? 11:28 (Aud: Death) And whosoever was not 11:30 found in the book of life was cast into the lake of what, 11:32 everybody? 11:33 (Aud: Fire) All right. 11:35 Stay with me. 11:36 Looking good now. 11:37 Because I'm processing the thought before 11:39 it comes out. 11:40 Understand, when Jesus comes the second time the Bible 11:42 is clear that the dead in Christ will rise what? 11:44 (Aud: First) That's the first resurrection. 11:46 The Bible is also clear that the righteous living 11:48 will be caught up to meet the Lord in the what? 11:50 (Aud: Air) The Bible is also clear 11:52 that the wicked living will die at the brightness of his what? 11:54 (Aud: Coming) The Bible is also clear that 11:56 the wicked dead will remain what? 11:58 (Aud: Dead) We have one thousand years. 12:00 During the one thousand years the earth is without form 12:02 and void, it's black, it's dark. 12:04 The righteous are in where? 12:06 (Aud: Heaven) Participating in what? 12:08 (Aud: Judgment) Satan is on this what? 12:10 (Aud: Earth) And he can no longer 12:12 what? 12:13 (Aud: Deceive) Because the wicked 12:15 are what? 12:16 (Aud: Dead) They are dead here 12:18 on this earth. 12:19 At the end of one thousand years there's a resurrection. 12:22 There's a resurrection of the wicked 12:24 and Satan seeks to deceive them into thinking they 12:26 will overcome Jesus and the holy city. 12:28 The holy city descends from heaven, out of heaven 12:30 to this earth as the bride adorned for her husband. 12:32 God spews down fire and he destroys Satan 12:37 and the people of Satan, the enemies of God 12:40 forever and ever. 12:41 Now, Pastor Byrd, why would God 12:54 if he's so merciful, if God is so loving, why would God 13:03 resurrect wicked people at the end of the one 13:06 thousand years only for them to die again 13:11 in fire? 13:12 If they were already dead, why can't they just stay dead? 13:16 What sense does it make? 13:17 God, I need you to help me understand this. 13:22 Why are you resurrecting people at the end of the one thousand 13:29 years only for them to be deceived again by Satan? 13:32 Haven't they had enough deception? 13:35 Why are you resurrecting them to be deceived again only for you, 13:39 God, to rain down fire for them to be destroyed forever? 13:47 When Jesus comes back the third time at the end of the one 13:51 thousand years and the wicked are resurrected 13:57 and the righteous are coming down out of heaven with Jesus, 14:01 this is the only time in earth history where everyone 14:05 who has ever lived will all be alive at the same time. 14:14 Everyone who has ever lived, Hitler, Alexander the Great, 14:19 Nebuchadnezzar, Carlton Byrd, all of us will be alive 14:24 at the same time. 14:28 Why must we all be alive at the same time for God 14:32 to rain down fire? 14:33 Because God is not a God that can lie. 14:39 Whatever God says, God will do. 14:41 All of us must be alive at the same time, 14:46 all of the wicked must be resurrected because 14:48 the prophesy must come to pass that one day will come 14:51 where every knee shall bow and every tongue must confess 14:59 that Jesus Christ is Lord. 15:02 Everyone who has laughed at him, you've got to behold him. 15:06 For those who have mocked him, you must behold him. 15:09 For those who have ridiculed him, you must behold him. 15:13 For those who have talked about him, you must behold him. 15:17 We shall behold him. 15:19 Our Savior and our Lord. 15:24 At his first coming he came to save his people. 15:29 At his second coming he came to get his people. 15:34 But at his third coming he's come back with his people. 15:40 Hallelujah. 15:41 Home at last. 15:44 The redeemed are home at last. 15:49 Hark the herald angels sing, Jesus is the Light of the world. 15:59 Glory to the newborn king. 16:03 Jesus, the Light of the world. 16:09 Everyone must acknowledge that he is Lord. 16:15 They hung him high, they stretched him wide, 16:19 he hung his head, but for me he died. 16:23 He is Lord. 16:24 That he went about preaching and he went about teaching 16:27 and he went about healing, because we must acknowledge 16:32 that he is Lord. 16:40 Every knee shall bow. 16:45 Every tongue must confess 16:54 that he is Lord. 17:03 The question for all of us tonight before we go 17:05 to screening. 17:06 I want you to hold what you have. 17:08 I'm getting you out early tonight. 17:10 The question we all must ask ourselves, who are we going 17:16 to give our worship to? 17:20 That's what Revelation boils down to. 17:23 Who are we going to give our worship to? 17:32 To what's popular or what's right? 17:36 Who are we going to give our worship to? 17:41 He is Lord. 17:43 Now, a lot of times we want to make him Savior. 17:45 He died to save us. 17:48 He hung on Calvary. 17:49 He bled on Calvary. 17:50 He died to save me. 17:52 But people don't want to make him Lord. 17:57 Because Lord means, Lord, I do what you say. 17:59 I go where you go. 18:05 I do what you have me to do. 18:10 And, friends, when we get to heaven we'll be able to say 18:13 heaven was cheap at that. 18:16 That heaven was worth it all. 18:18 Jesus died. 18:19 All he asks is that we live. 18:21 That's it. 18:23 To somebody here tonight, your husband has left you. 18:29 He is Lord. 18:33 Somebody tonight, your wife doesn't understand. 18:37 He is Lord. 18:41 Someone tonight, you're praying for your son, your grandson, 18:43 your daughter, your granddaughter. 18:45 They're wayward, they're in a mess, 18:47 they're in confusion. 18:48 You don't know what's going to happen to them. 18:50 You are worried sick for them. 18:51 When you go to bed tonight and pray, just remember, 18:53 he is Lord. 18:54 The bills are greater than your revenue. 19:06 You've been applying for jobs everywhere. 19:09 Trying to call in favors, you've been writing 19:11 applications, sending out resumes. 19:13 Your debt is building up. 19:15 He is Lord. 19:19 Somebody tonight, you've got cancer. 19:27 Somebody tonight, you've got high blood pressure. 19:32 Somebody, it seems that every day you wake up 19:34 you've got headache after headache, 19:36 headache, backache, toothache, earache, just aches, just pains. 19:40 He is Lord. 19:46 And serving the Lord is going to pay off. 19:52 Sometimes it doesn't seem like it. 19:54 I must confess, I'm the preacher, 19:56 but let me be honest with you. 19:57 Sometimes it just doesn't seem like it. 19:59 You ask yourself, God, why do the wicked prosper? 20:05 God, I'm trying to do right. 20:06 God, I'm trying to live right. 20:07 God, I'm trying to act right. 20:09 And Brother Man over here, Sister Girl over there, 20:11 they're doing anything they want to do, 20:13 they are as bad as they want to be. 20:15 Why do the wicked prosper? 20:17 I'm a real folk tonight. 20:21 He is Lord. 20:28 And if he's brought you through the fire, you better believe 20:37 he's got enough grace and mercy to carry you on through. 20:46 Every knee shall bow. 20:49 Every tongue confess. 20:51 So I've got a couple of slides for tonight. 20:58 Shall hold on, hang in there. 21:00 He's coming back. 21:03 Don't give up, don't give in. 21:05 He's coming back. 21:08 Sanctify us through thy truth, thy Word is what, everybody? 21:12 God's truth is most important because God's truth 21:14 will set you what? 21:16 If God said it, it settles it. 21:20 Whether you believe it or not, if God said it, that settles it. 21:23 Tonight the Word of God is for everyone, red, yellow, 21:26 black, white. 21:28 No big "I's," no little "u's." 21:30 Everybody up in here is a sinner saved by grace. 21:34 Everybody up in here is an ex-something. 21:37 Don't look down on the person next to you, you better look 21:39 in the mirror before you look down 21:41 at somebody else. 21:42 God came to save everybody. 21:48 God's Word is for everyone. 21:52 At Jesus' second coming there will be four 21:54 groups of people. 21:55 Group number one, the righteous what, everybody? 21:57 (Aud: Dead) They rise what? 21:59 (Aud: First) Group number two, 22:01 the righteous living. 22:02 They are caught up to meet the Lord in the what, 22:04 everybody? 22:05 (Aud: Air) Group number three, the wicked 22:07 living, they die at the brightness of his what? 22:09 (Aud: Coming) Group number four, the wicked 22:11 dead, they remain what, everybody? 22:13 (Aud: Dead) They remain dead. 22:15 The righteous dead will be raised in the first resurrection 22:18 at Jesus' second coming. 22:19 The righteous living will be caught up to meet 22:21 the Lord in the air with the resurrected righteous. 22:23 And I saw thrones and sat upon them and judgment was given 22:25 unto them. 22:26 And I saw the souls of them that were beheaded 22:28 for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God 22:31 and which had not worshipped the what, everybody? 22:33 (Aud: Beast) Neither his what? 22:35 Neither had received his mark upon their foreheads 22:37 or in their hands and they lived and reigned 22:39 with Christ for how long, everybody? 22:42 Blessed and holy is he that hath part 22:44 in the first resurrection, on such the second death 22:47 hath no power for they shall be priests 22:49 of whom, everybody? 22:50 God and the Christ. 22:51 And he shall reign with him for a thousand years. 22:56 At the beginning of the thousand years, the second coming, 22:59 the resurrection of the righteous, 23:01 the second resurrection at the end of the one thousand 23:03 years is the resurrection of the wicked. The period 23:05 in between is the millennium. 23:06 At Jesus' second coming the wicked will die 23:09 at the brightness of his coming. 23:11 Also, at Jesus' second coming, the wicked dead will remain 23:13 what, everybody? 23:14 Dead. 23:15 During the one thousand year period, all the wicked will be 23:18 dead on the earth and Satan will be what, everybody? 23:21 Bound to this earth. 23:23 And he laid hold of the dragon, that old serpent, which is 23:26 the devil and Satan, and bound him the Bible says 23:28 a thousand years. 23:30 And cast him into the bottomless pit, shut him up, set a seal 23:35 upon him that he should deceive the nations no more till 23:38 the thousand years shall be fulfilled. 23:45 And after that he must be loosed for a season. 23:48 Satan will not be able to deceive anyone on the earth 23:50 because Satan will be on this earth, 23:52 but the wicked will be dead on the earth, and the righteous 23:55 will be in heaven. 23:56 But at the end of the millennium there will be 23:59 a second resurrection. 24:00 The wicked will be resurrected to eternal damnation and Satan 24:02 will go out to deceive them again. 24:04 And when the thousand years are expired Satan shall 24:06 be what, everybody? 24:07 Loosed out of his prison and shall go out to deceive 24:10 the nations which are in the four corners 24:12 of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together 24:15 to battle, the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 24:18 And they went up on the breadth of the earth and incompassed 24:20 the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city 24:23 and fire came down from God out of heaven 24:25 and devoured them. 24:26 And the devil that deceived them was cast, hallelujah, 24:29 into the lake of fire and brimstone where 24:32 the false prophets and beast are and shall be 24:35 tormented day and night forever and ever. 24:37 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death 24:43 and hell delivered up the dead which were in them, 24:45 and they were judged every man according 24:47 to their works. 24:48 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. 24:51 This is the second death. 24:52 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life 24:56 was cast into the lake of fire. 24:58 After the earth is purified by what, everybody? 25:03 That's when God will create a new heaven and a new earth. 25:07 Remember, I told you God's feet could not touch this earth 25:10 because this earth is dirty. 25:12 This earth is sin infested and the only way you 25:15 clean something is one of two ways. 25:17 You either clean it by water or you clean it by fire. 25:21 At the flood, Jesus cleansed the earth by water, 25:24 but he said it won't be water, but fire next time. 25:28 At the end of the one thousand years, God is going to clean 25:31 this place up. 25:32 He's going to burn this place up. 25:34 He's going to sterilize this place and he will descend 25:39 from heaven with a new heaven and a new earth 25:42 for his people. 25:44 Blessed are they that doeth his commandments, that will 25:49 hear his commandments. 25:51 Not just read his commandments, but blessed are they that do his 25:54 commandments, that they may have a right to the tree of life 25:57 and may enter in through the gates 26:01 into the city. 26:02 I told you Saturday night, I told you Sunday night, 26:06 and I'm telling you tonight that I plan to make it to 26:08 God's great city. 26:10 I'm not going to hell for anybody. 26:13 PB: Thank you very much for tuning in and watching 26:16 Breath of Life today. 26:17 We do hope that you were blessed by our ministry and that we gave 26:21 a healing word in a hurting world. 26:25 In order for Breath of Life to continue ministry, 26:27 we need you. 26:29 We need your prayers, we need your support. 26:31 We want you to know that any and all donations, 26:34 small or great, they are sincerely welcomed 26:37 and appreciated. 26:39 To contact us or to make your donation, please feel free 26:42 to give us a call at 877-BOL-OFFER. 26:46 That's 877-BOL-OFFER. 26:53 Or you may write to us at Breath of Life, P.O.
