of Jesus and all he's done

Is there yet a glimpse of dead,
dry bones who sit in the pews

the call of God?

that it's tough to preach

Then there are some Christians

It becomes a tough assignment.

But yet, that's
often what God deals with.

The unusual, the uncanny,

Ezekiel was assigned by God
to preach to these dry, dead

bones, but as Ezekiel begins
to preach something begins

As Ezekiel begins to speak,
revival begins to take place.

the process of decomposition

It is our duty to

that these people,
although they now had

shape and form, they
still had no breath in them.

Which means Ezekiel
had a measure of success

in preaching to the
bones and a wonderful success
00:08:11.00\00:08:13.13
it appeared to be.
00:08:13.13\00:08:14.30
The bones came together,
bone to bone, but the Bible says
00:08:14.30\00:08:16.16
there was no breath in them.
00:08:16.16\00:08:17.86
Ezekiel had done, yes, his
work in preaching, but there was
00:08:17.86\00:08:20.66
still something
else that was needed.
00:08:20.66\00:08:23.40
And that's just like many of us.

We preach and we
think we've done something,

we clap, we stomp, we shout,
and people pat us on the back

and we think
we've done something.

But, friends of mine,
if it's void of the breath,

Holy Spirit, if it's void

breathe in the text

ruach in Genesis 2:7, which is

the same word for spirit.

Genesis 2:7 says, "And the
Lord God formed man of the dust

of the ground, and
breathed into his nostrils

the breath of life;
and man became a living

soul." Adam had form
and body when God took dust

to life until God
breathed his Holy Spirit in him.

Which means, friends of mine,
these bones can't come to life

The church can't come

but when they get up and sing

And you can have somebody
else who does not sing as well,

but they minister
and they see and you feel

and sense the anointing of God.

And so you have the singer over
here that can sure enough sing,

singer over here that may not

be able to sing that well,
but they've got the Holy Ghost

Holy Ghost anointing

they've got the Holy Ghost,

that one sounds
good, but there's something

they've got the Holy Ghost.

We need new life to
come back to lifeless bones,

churches, lifeless ministry,

communities, lifeless lives.

We need the Holy Ghost.
