00:11 ♪ oh yes, ♪ ♪ he's worthy ♪ 00:15 ♪ worthy of all... ♪ ♪ all the praise ♪ 00:21 ♪ (Music) ♪ Pastor Byrd: Give me the Bible, 00:22 B-I-B-L-E-, that's the book that 00:24 can stand alone, the Word of God. 00:28 B-I-B-L-E. 00:30 As you can tell these two weeks we have sought to preach the 00:33 uncompromised, unadulterated Word of God. 00:37 Which means if steps on your toe or pinches you, 00:44 you just holler, say, ouch, 00:47 and you keep on moving. 00:48 But I'd rather somebody tell me the truth about God's Word now 00:53 than to get that great getting up in the morning thinking one 00:55 thing and it's a whole other thing. 00:58 So I praise God for his Word. 01:00 And so, we're going to go into his Word 01:03 tonight. 01:04 I want to make sure as we do every night that you have your 01:06 Bibles. 01:07 If you have your Bibles, I'm going to ask that you would 01:09 take them and hold them up. 01:11 Tonight, as we have done, 01:13 repeat after me, say every promise in this book 01:15 is mine, every chapter, 01:19 every verse, every line. 01:23 I am saved by his grace divine. 01:28 Every promise in this book is mine. 01:32 Father God, now we ask that you would speak 01:38 to us in a very, very profound, 01:44 real way. 01:46 Breathed by your Holy Ghost in this place. 01:54 Because, God, 01:56 this night somebody's going to see Jesus and they will never be 02:01 the same again. 02:02 So, God, 02:04 have your way we pray. 02:07 Forgive us of our sin and we praise you in advance for what 02:14 you're getting ready to do. 02:17 Lord, we love you. 02:19 Lord, we praise you, 02:21 we magnify your Holy Name. 02:22 In the name of Jesus and for his sake, 02:27 we pray. 02:28 Let everyone say Amen, and Amen. 02:30 We study the Word of God recognizing that Jesus is God. 02:34 Can you say Amen? 02:36 I said Jesus is God. 02:37 Can you say Amen? 02:38 The Bible say in the beginning God created the heavens and the 02:41 what? 02:42 (Aud: Earth.) Then the Bible said and God said, 02:44 let whom make man? 02:45 Let us make man in our image after our likeness. 02:48 God said that. 02:49 Then we went to the New Testament, 02:51 recognizing that the Word of God, 02:53 the Word said, in the beginning was the Word 02:55 and the Word was with whom, everybody? 02:57 (Aud: God.) And the Word was whom, 02:59 everybody? 03:00 (Aud: God.) And then the Word became what, 03:02 everybody? 03:03 (Aud: Flesh.) The Word became flesh. 03:05 We went on and studied how one day very soon Jesus is going to 03:08 put an end to the madness we face on this earth. 03:11 That one day very soon Jesus is going to come. 03:14 So, despite what you go through, 03:16 despite how you're treated, despite the troubles that come 03:19 your way, hold on, 03:21 help is on the way. 03:23 That when Jesus Christ comes back the dead in Christ are 03:25 going to rise what, everybody? 03:27 (Aud: First.) Then we which are alive remain and will be caught 03:30 up to meet the Lord in the? 03:31 (Aud: Air.) And then we recognize that the wicked living 03:34 will die at the brightness of his what? 03:36 (Aud: Coming.) And then the wicked dead will remain what, 03:38 everybody? 03:39 (Aud: Dead.) They will remain dead and the righteous will live 03:41 and reign with Christ for how many years? 03:43 One thousand years. 03:44 The wicked will be what? 03:46 Dead here on this earth. 03:47 Satan will be bound to a set of circumstances. 03:51 We discover also during this period that the righteous will 03:54 be in heaven participating in what, 03:56 everybody? 03:57 (Aud: Judgment.) They will be participating in judgment. 03:59 At the end of the one thousand years, 04:01 the Bible lets us know there will be a second resurrection 04:04 and this will be a resurrection of the wicked. 04:06 Amen. 04:07 The Bible lets us know that they will seek to overcome Jesus, 04:11 Satan and the wicked, they will seek to overcome 04:13 Jesus. 04:14 But as the new heavens, the new earth and the new 04:17 Jerusalem comes down out of heaven to this earth, 04:20 the Bible says that the Lord will rain down fire and Satan 04:24 and his angels and the wicked will be destroyed forever. 04:27 Can you say Amen? 04:29 This is a special time in earth's history because we 04:32 discover at this time, this is the only time in earth 04:35 history where everyone who has ever lived, 04:37 we will all be alive at the same time. 04:40 Why? 04:41 The prophecy must come to pass that one day every knee is going 04:43 to bow and every tongue must confess that Jesus Christ is 04:47 what, everybody? 04:49 (Aud: Lord.) So, at his first coming Jesus came 04:51 to do what for his people. 04:52 (Aud: Save.) Come on, he came to do what for his 04:54 people? 04:55 (Aud: Save.) At his second coming he's coming to what, 04:57 everybody? 04:58 Get his people. 04:59 At his third coming he's coming back what? 05:02 (Aud: With.) With his people. 05:03 We discover that when an individual dies, 05:07 their body returns to what? 05:08 (Aud: Dust.) Their spirit to returns to whom? 05:10 (Aud: God.) And their soul cease to what, 05:13 everybody? 05:14 (Aud: Exist.) We discovered that the seventh day is the what? 05:16 (Aud: Sabbath.) Come on, the seventh day is the what? 05:18 (Aud: Sabbath.) Because the Bible says, 05:20 remember the what day? 05:21 (Aud: Sabbath.) To keep it what, everybody? 05:23 (Aud: Holy.) We discover that in order for one to be baptized one 05:26 must first be what? 05:28 Taught. 05:29 Secondly one must what? 05:30 (Aud: Believe.) And then thirdly, 05:32 one must what, everybody? 05:34 One must repent. 05:35 Is re-baptism every proper? 05:36 (Aud: No.) (Aud: Yes.) We get all the way to the end. 05:44 Let's try it one more time. 05:47 Is re-baptism ever proper? 05:50 Yes. 05:51 In some circumstances, correct? 05:53 When an individual receives new life, 05:56 new truth from the Word of God that makes a significant 05:58 difference in their life, or if one has had a little 06:02 difficulty, a little trouble and they need a 06:04 little cleansing from Jesus Christ. 06:06 They've wandered from God and now they want to come back to 06:09 the Lord, or if they want to be 06:11 strengthened by the power of God, 06:13 according to Acts 19: 1, 2, 06:15 3, 4 and 5, 06:17 it is proper and necessary. 06:18 And so we come to tonight. 06:20 We come to tonight and we talk about Christian living. 06:25 Tonight we will talk about the fact that our bodies are God's 06:30 temples. 06:32 And so we've got to be mindful of what we put in our body, 06:38 what we put on our body. 06:41 I can't get an Amen in this place. 06:44 And what we let people do to our body. 06:51 What we put in our body, what we put on our body and what 06:57 we let people do to our body. 07:01 Now you need to understand, if you've been here two weeks, 07:03 you understand that I'm not afraid to tell it like it is. 07:07 And so, some people are going to 07:09 be saying "ouch" all night long, 07:11 but I love you and the Lord loves you anyhow. 07:13 Come on, say Amen. 07:15 We discovered the days in which we live, 07:18 everyone wants to live, most people are afraid to die. 07:25 Nothing in recent years seems to have improved the health of 07:28 people as much as the increasing cost of being sick. 07:33 Unfortunately, for many of us, 07:35 our health seems more valuable to us after we have lost it, 07:38 because by the time most people discover that good health is 07:41 everything, they've already lost it. 07:44 But we discover now more than ever that we see people 07:48 exercising, we see people watching their 07:51 diets. 07:52 We go into the grocery store, be it Public's, 07:54 be it Kroger, be it Walmart, 07:56 and you find people more than ever before reading the labels 08:00 as to what is in what they are buying. 08:03 We have found that people now visit health food stores 08:07 more than ever, because people are concerned 08:10 about their health. 08:12 But many people suffer from poor health not because of what they 08:15 eat but because of what is eating them. 08:19 So, let me give you some good 08:21 counsel tonight, free of charge. 08:23 Come on, say Amen. 08:25 Free of charge. 08:26 The only way to keep your good health is to eat what you don't 08:30 want, drink what you don't like, 08:34 and do what you'd rather not do. 08:38 Now, if you go to any doctor in 08:40 Huntsville, whatever city you're watching 08:42 from, the doctor will tell you that. 08:45 But tonight I've got some good news. 08:47 Save your money. 08:49 Save your co-pay. 08:51 And let's go to the Word of God. 08:54 Can you say Amen? 08:55 Now, you will remember that Jesus' 08:57 ministry included preaching, teaching and healing. 09:03 And so because Jesus, because God, 09:07 created us, God knows what's best for us. 09:12 Let's go to the Book of 1 Corinthians. 09:15 What book did I say, everybody? 09:17 And let's go to 1 Corinthians, Chapter 10, 09:19 and we're going to verse 31. 09:24 First Corinthians 10:31, and the Apostle Paul says to us 09:29 in the Word of God tonight: "Whether therefore ye eat, 09:34 or drink, or whatsoever ye do, 09:36 do all to the glory of" whom, everybody? 09:38 (Aud: God.) Whatsoever ye eat, or drink, 09:40 do all, whatever you do, 09:42 do all to the glory of God. 09:49 So tonight then, we begin with my body temple. 09:53 What you put in your body. 09:55 What you put where, everybody? 09:57 (Aud: In.) Come on, what you put where? 09:59 (Aud: In.) Now understand, your body, 10:02 my body, our bodies are God's temples. 10:07 So because God's temple is who I am, 10:11 I can't put any and everything in God's temple. 10:16 My body is God's temple. 10:17 Paul says also in 1 Corinthians 6:19 and 20, 10:22 the Word of God says: "What? 10:23 Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost 10:26 which is in you, which ye have of God, 10:28 and ye are not your own? 10:30 For ye are bought with a" what, everybody? 10:32 Come on, ye are bought with a what? 10:34 (Aud: Price.) "Therefore glorify God in your body, 10:36 and in your spirit, which are God's. 10:38 So, everybody, 10:40 repeat after me. 10:41 Let's make this part interactive. 10:43 Repeat after me. 10:44 Say, this is my body. 10:46 Say it like you mean it. 10:47 Say, this is my body. 10:49 God's holy temple. 10:51 I've been bought with the price, and I glorify him. 10:57 I want to say it again, because when we start reading 10:59 some stuff from Scripture you've got to say it just as hard then 11:02 as you're saying it now. 11:03 So let's practice one more time. 11:05 This is my body. 11:09 God's holy temple. 11:12 I've been bought with a price, and I glorify him. 11:18 Now those who disobey God's rules of health 11:21 will be destroyed. 11:22 The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 3: 16 and 17: 11:25 "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, 11:28 and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 11:31 If any man defile the temple of God, 11:34 him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy." 11:38 It is what, everybody? 11:40 (Aud: Holy.) "Which temple ye are." 11:45 What you put in your body, because your body 11:49 is God's temple, and you've been bought 11:51 with a price, and you glorify God. 11:55 You've got to leave that bottle alone. 11:59 Come on, say Amen. 12:02 Pastor Byrd, what you mean the bottle? 12:04 Water bottle? 12:05 No. 12:07 You've got to leave that alcohol alone. 12:09 Come on, say Amen. 12:12 if that's not plain for you, whisky, gin, tonics. 12:18 In the word of Fred Sanford, Ripple. 12:26 You've go to leave it alone. 12:27 Come on, say Amen. 12:29 I say you've got to leave it alone. 12:30 Come on, say Amen. 12:31 Somebody say, well, 12:32 a little wine is good for the soul. 12:33 Who told you that? 12:35 We've got to leave wine, beer, 12:38 alcohol, whiskey alone. 12:40 Come on, say Amen. 12:42 That's not the gospel according to Pastor Byrd, 12:44 that's the gospel according to the Word of God. 12:46 Let's get some Word. 12:47 Proverbs, Chapter 20, 12:49 verse 1. 12:51 Getting quiet in the church house. 12:53 Proverbs 20:1, if you have it let me hear you 12:58 say Amen. 12:59 The Word says: "Wine, what does it say, 13:02 everybody? 13:03 (Aud: Wine.) What does it say everybody? 13:05 "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and 13:07 whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise." You've got to leave 13:13 it alone. 13:14 Come on, say Amen. 13:16 Somebody says, Pastor Byrd, 13:18 that's Old Testament. 13:19 That's not New Testament. 13:20 Let me give you some New Testament. 13:22 Come on, say Amen. 13:24 Somebody say, well, 13:26 Jesus turned water into wine. 13:27 It was not fermented wine. 13:28 Come on, say Amen. 13:30 So let me give you some New Testament. 13:32 First Corinthians, Chapter 5. 13:34 Know what you believe, know why you believe it, 13:36 and know where it's found. 13:37 First Corinthians 5:11. 13:38 I'm changing somebody's drinking plan. 13:40 Come on, say Amen. 13:42 First Corinthians 5:11, the Word of God, 13:44 the Apostle Paul says, "But now I have written unto you 13:47 not to keep company, if any man that is called a 13:50 brother be a" what? 13:52 Be a what? 13:53 (Aud: Fornicator.) "Or covetous, or an idolater, 13:56 or a railer, or a, 13:58 what? 13:59 Or a what? 14:00 (Aud: Drunkard.) "Or an extortioner; 14:02 with such an one no not to, what, 14:04 everybody? 14:05 (Aud: Eat.) That's New Testament. 14:07 Let's get some more New Testament. 14:09 Go to the Book of Galatians. 14:10 What book, everybody? 14:12 Galatians is right after 1 and 2 Corinthians. 14:14 And we're going to Galatians, Chapter 5 and we're going to 14:18 verse 21. 14:19 The Word of God says, Galatians 5. 14:22 In fact, I'll start reading at verse 19. 14:24 Galatians 5:19, let's get some more Word. 14:28 The Word of God says: "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, 14:35 which are these: Adultery, fornication, 14:38 getting quiet in the church. 14:39 I'm going to preach it anyhow. 14:42 "Uncleanness, lasciviousness, 14:45 idolatry, witchcraft, 14:48 hatred, variance, 14:52 emulations, wrath, 14:55 strife, seditions, 14:59 heresies, envyings, 15:02 murders, drunkenness, 15:05 drunkenness, drunkenness, 15:09 "revellings, and such like: of the which I 15:12 tell you before, as I have also told 15:14 you in time past, that they which do such things 15:19 shall not inherit the kingdom of God." I'm trying to help 15:25 somebody tonight. 15:27 I'm trying to help somebody save your life and save your money. 15:30 I wish I had a witness in this place. 15:33 Pastor Byrd, what can I drink? 15:35 Go on and drink the water. 15:36 It's free. 15:37 Come on, say Amen. 15:39 You've got to leave the alcohol alone. 15:41 Leave it alone. 15:42 Leave it what, everybody? 15:44 (Aud: Alone.) But somebody 19:10 said, well, 19:12 Pastor Byrd, what does that mean? 19:14 All I know is God said it, just do it. 19:16 They're cleaning agencies. 19:18 Verse 4: "Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that 19:26 chew the cud." You know I love you. 19:30 "Or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel." As the 19:35 what, everybody? 19:37 "Because he cheweth the" what? 19:38 (Aud: Cud.) "But divideth not the" what? 19:40 (Aud: Hoof.) He is what unto you? 19:43 (Aud: Unclean.) And the what else? 19:45 Come on, you all, 19:47 the what? 19:48 Coney. 19:49 Because he cheweth the what? 19:50 (Aud: Cud.) But divideth not the what? 19:52 (Aud: Hoof.) That's the pig. 20:28 That's that bacon double-cheese burger. 20:30 Pigs' feet, pig skin, 20:38 chitlins. 20:40 Pork chops. 20:45 Quiet in the church. 20:48 I said a skin, Amen? 20:51 And the swine, though he divide the what? 20:55 (Aud: Hoof.) Well, Pastor Byrd, 21:05 what about pray over? 21:06 If I pray over it and bless it and it's fine. 21:10 That same pig that I've got in the field eating everything that 21:14 was killed and put in your grocer's supermarket, 21:17 just because you pray over it doesn't mean that all that that 21:20 pig has eaten has been made clean for you to eat. 21:24 Are you hearing what I'm saying? 21:26 You want some more? 21:28 Somebody said no. 21:31 (laughter) Of their carcass shall ye not what? 21:38 Eat. 21:39 And their carcass shall ye not what? 21:41 (Aud: Touch.) They are what unto you? 21:43 Come on, they are what unto you? 21:45 (Aud: Unclean.) All right. 21:46 Let's go to the water. 21:47 Verse 9. 21:48 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever 21:56 hath fins and what? 21:58 (Aud: Scales.) "In the waters, in the seas, 22:01 and in the rivers, them shall ye eat. 22:03 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, 22:05 and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, 22:07 and of any living thing which is in the waters, 22:09 they shall be an abomination unto you. 22:11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; 22:13 ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases 22:16 in abomination. 22:17 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, 22:20 that shall be an abomination unto you. 22:22 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among 22:25 the fowls, the birds, 22:27 "They shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the 22:30 eagle, and the ossifrage, 22:33 and the osprey, and the vulture, 22:38 and the kite after his kind, every raven after his kind." 22:46 Somebody say, well, 22:48 Pastor Byrd, the Lord, 22:50 Elijah ate raven. 22:52 No, the raven brought food to 22:56 Elijah, but Elijah did not eat the 22:59 raven. 23:00 Come on, say Amen. 23:02 Verse 16: "And the owl, and the night hawk, 23:06 and the cuckoo, and the hawk after his kind, 23:10 and the little owl, and the cormorant, 23:12 and the great owl, and the swan, 23:14 and the pelican, and the gier eagle, 23:19 and the stork, the heron after her kind, 23:24 and the lapwing, and the bat." Lord Jesus, 23:29 who's going to eat bat? 23:35 Bat drop soup. 23:38 (laughter) "All fowls that creep, 23:42 going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto 23:46 you."
