for whatever you're going

going through things in

are three stages each of us as

They are chronicled in the

children of Israel.

There are three stages that
I would like to examine today.

First of all, we have
to understand this thing

called Egypt.
00:08:50.76\00:08:51.80
Everybody say Egypt.

And then, secondly,
there is the wilderness.

And then thirdly,
there is the Promised Land.

Everybody say the Promised Land.

You see, many of us in
our lives, we've been through
00:09:02.60\00:09:06.00
enough Egypt.
00:09:06.00\00:09:08.50
Anybody know what I'm
talking about when I say Egypt?
00:09:08.50\00:09:10.73
Let me help you understand.
00:09:10.73\00:09:12.00
Egypt represents bondage.
00:09:12.00\00:09:15.30
Egypt represents slavery,
and somebody here knows that in
00:09:15.30\00:09:21.43
their life they've
lived through enough Egypt.
00:09:21.43\00:09:25.60
But then, the second
phase, the wilderness.
00:09:25.60\00:09:28.13
Which means and
represents the mean time.
00:09:28.13\00:09:31.10
It represents that
place between blessings.
00:09:31.10\00:09:34.86
It represents that period of
ambiguity, that period where I
00:09:34.86\00:09:38.33
know God is doing something
in my life, but I really don't
00:09:38.33\00:09:42.26
know what God is doing.

And so all of us, we've
been through the wilderness.

But then, my brothers and my
sisters, there another level.

Because once we get out
of Egypt, once we get through

with the wilderness,
I'm here to let you know

there is a place
called the Promised Land.

There is a place called the
Promised Land and I want you

to understand, brothers
and sisters, because so many

believers get close
to the Promised Land,

but they miss it.

We get on the brink, we get
right there, we get where God

has promised us.

We can see what God
said he was going to do but

today, I don't know about you,

satisfied with getting close

to the Promised Land.

the Promised Land.

There's a song I used

to the Canaan land.

If you don't

plan to make heaven my home.

make it to the Promised Land.

You're not interested
in setting up shop and just

want what God has for your life,

got to let Pharaoh go.

So I want you to see something
today, because the children of

Israel, God's chosen people,
had been on a journey on their
00:11:19.80\00:11:22.90
way to the Promised Land.
00:11:22.90\00:11:24.86
They left Egypt, they escaped
the fiery hand of Pharaoh.
00:11:24.86\00:11:28.66
God made the Red
Sea a dry highway.
00:11:28.66\00:11:33.06
God provided
manna in the wilderness.
00:11:33.06\00:11:35.83
They were now at the Promised
Land, and the Bible declares
00:11:35.83\00:11:39.73
that right here at
Kadesh they sent some spies out.
00:11:39.73\00:11:43.66
They viewed the land.
00:11:43.66\00:11:47.96
They said, yes, this
is exactly what God said
00:11:47.96\00:11:51.76
it was going to be.
00:11:51.76\00:11:53.50
It surely is what God says.
00:11:53.50\00:11:55.86
But then, the Bible
says, an evil report came back.

The evil report came back
that said, we can't do it.

What do we have here?

One journey but two reports.

One mission, but
two different opinions.

One report says we can do it.

Another report says, we
can't do it because we are as

grasshoppers in our sight.

Now, tonight, how many
of us have some things we

need from the Lord?

you now three things to help you

understand what happens when
you get close to the Promised

Land and how to make it in.

Number one, I want to
tell you this and we're going

to see this in the text.

If we're going to make it to
the Promised Land, number one,

we have to be delivered
from an Egyptian attitude.

Let me say that again.

You and I, we have
to be delivered from

an Egyptian attitude.

You've got to let Pharaoh go.

Now I want to say this

If there's one area in all of
our lives that we have to work

on so that we don't miss
what God has for our lives,

it's our attitude.

You see, it's one thing to
be delivered out of Egypt, but

it's another thing to
get the Egypt out of you.

The reason why the children
of Israel are struggling whether

or not to go into the Promised
Land is because of the effects

of their Egyptian experience.

Egypt was bondage.
00:13:54.23\00:13:57.03
Pharaoh told them
when, Pharaoh told them why,
00:13:57.03\00:14:02.00
Pharaoh told them how.
00:14:02.00\00:14:03.70
Pharaoh shook their self-esteem.
00:14:03.70\00:14:08.00
Pharaoh represents a
system, a system that controls
00:14:08.00\00:14:12.23
and manipulates.
00:14:12.23\00:14:14.10
And if you've been in bondage
to the system, it creates a
00:14:14.10\00:14:17.73
mindset that becomes
institutionalized to the
00:14:17.73\00:14:21.30
system and before long you
can begin to think you will
00:14:21.30\00:14:25.03
never be anything.
00:14:25.03\00:14:26.93
You can never do
anything because Pharaoh has
00:14:26.93\00:14:30.63
tainted your attitude.

Although you've been delivered
out of Pharaoh's house,

Pharaoh is still in your house.

Chapter 13:27 says,
"And they told him, and said,

'We came unto the land
whither thou sentest us,
