being the Lamb of which this Old

Testament story about
Passover is all about.

He lets us know that this
Old Testament story was just a

You see, the lamb in the
Old Testament was just a type.

Just a model of the
real thing that was to come.

of Ages" says that the sacrifice

of the lamb at Passover
was a memorial of the Lord's

wonderful deliverance of

pointed to a greater
deliverance to be wrought

It is a defense mechanism

you." Now, let me be clear.

That's how strong the
blood of the Lamb was then.

But can you imagine how
much stronger the blood of Jesus

Christ is?

Now, the children of Israel
were gathering all of their

children into the house,
all of their animals into the

house, all of their property
into the house, because the

protection was to
stand up under the blood.

That's how they were to fight.

That's what their defense
was, to stand up underneath the

blood.

And when we read in Exodus
how God began to fight, you must

understand, friends of
mine, that God began to fight

against Pharaoh in Egypt.

The battle is God's battle.

The battle was not necessarily
the Israelites' battle.

The battle ensued because
God had gotten tired of Pharaoh

attacking his children.

God had gotten tired of
Pharaoh resisting them, giving
00:07:39.03\00:07:43.00
them restricted opposition,
making it more difficult for
00:07:43.00\00:07:46.43
them to do what they had to do.

Every day, Pharaoh was coming
up with another way to make
00:07:47.90\00:07:52.26
the lives of the children
of Israel more miserable.
00:07:52.26\00:07:56.13
And so it became so difficult,
the Bible teaches, that the

children of God began to
cry out to the Lord, "Lord,

deliver us from this
oppressive, restrictive force

coming against everything that
we do." And I believe I've got

some witnesses in this place,
who have cried out to the Lord

and said, "Lord, deliver me
from this mess that I'm going

through right now.

If we're real today, every
now and then you have to go to

your secret closet, and you
have to go to God and cry out

to God and say, "God,
life is getting on my nerves.

Trouble is pressing me down.

Enemies are coming from
everywhere, and if I don't get

think I'm going to be able to

of Israel began to cry to the

Lord that God told Moses,
"Moses, I've heard the cry of

my children unto me.

Pharaoh, let my people go.

Pharaoh, you can do whatever
you want to do with your

want you to understand what I'm

the valuable position that you

hold in the Lord, that you
are in a unique position that,

have to fight by yourselves.

today that my God, he can fight.

today, friends of mine, that

also a man of war.

was awesome in battle.

The Lord strong and mighty?

When God fought, God swallowed
up nations in the earth by his

right hand.

into a fight with me.

It's a lot different
when you're fighting with

between fighting the slave and

The Bible says that God
began to launch an attack on

Pharaoh.

And when God begins to launch
an attack, God has an unusual

way of fighting.

Most times when we reflect
on scripture, when God began to

wage war against another
nation, God would use a nation

against a nation.

But for this particular
battle, God did not reach out

and get another
nation to come against Egypt.

You must understand that Egypt
at the time was the superpower

of that era.

Egypt built pyramids, and they
built buildings that are still

existing today.

We are still studying the
technology and the ability

that was executed
under the Pharaohs.

People are touring,
excavating and understanding the

precision and the mechanism
whereby they were able to do

and for that kind of enemy, God

another nation in to fight.

about releasing boils against

Only God could clap his hands
