01:27 You didn't ask for it, but God knew you needed it and God 01:30 gave you something extra. 01:32 Let me paint the picture quickly. 01:35 Do you all realize that over a million Israelites started 01:40 walking down through the rocks, down the path, down 01:43 into a dry sea bed with Pharaoh chasing them. 01:50 Get the kids, honey. 01:52 Get our stuff. 01:53 Get the kids. 01:53 Hand Junior to me. 01:54 Come on, Junior. 01:55 But let me tell you all something. 01:58 History has a way of repeating itself. 02:01 Let me tell you why Pharaoh was chasing them. 02:05 He wasn't chasing them because he wanted the slaves back. 02:09 It was easy for him to get some more slaves. 02:14 The problem was, read the Bible carefully when you go 02:16 home, read the Bible at your house carefully, the problem 02:19 was the slaves had taken the money. 02:25 Pastor Byrd, what you talking about? 02:28 The Israelites had borrowed the gold and the silver from 02:32 the children of Egypt. 02:33 It had gone from the hands of the Egyptians to the hands of 02:36 the slaves. 02:37 There was a transfer or wealth that the devil was so angry 02:40 about that he did everything he could to stop it. 02:43 The last became first, the first became last, the head 02:47 became the tail and the tail became the head. 02:49 The Bible says that the children of Israel had come 02:52 out with so much gold and so much silver that they had 02:54 heaped it on the backs of their children. 02:58 The children were so wealthy that later when Moses gets 03:01 ready to build the tabernacle he had to stop them from 03:03 giving because those folks were loaded. 03:08 The Pharaoh gets his best horses, best chariots, and 03:13 says, you've messed up the economy of Egypt. 03:18 I've got to get to that. 03:20 Think about it. 03:21 He's king. 03:22 He didn't necessarily need those slaves. 03:24 He could have gotten some more slaves. 03:26 Let me throw this in right here, free of charge. 03:29 Most fighting in a country, most debates over freedom have 03:35 everything to do with money. 03:39 You don't believe me? 03:42 Let me call the roll. 03:45 Slavery in the United States, it's roots? 03:49 Money. 03:50 Fighting in the Middle East? 03:52 It's root, oil, money. 03:55 Democrats versus Republicans? 03:58 Money. 03:59 Immigration reform? 04:00 Money. 04:02 The French Revolution? 04:03 Money. 04:04 The Egyptian insurrection going on right now? 04:08 Money. 04:11 Pharaoh was mad because of money and that makes sense, 04:16 because the Bible says that the love of money is the root 04:22 of all evil. 04:24 But God, because he's alpha and omega, had already told 04:28 Abraham that after they come out, they're going to come out 04:32 with great substance. 04:34 And so today, I don't know who I'm preaching to, but we're 04:37 going through it right now. 04:40 After you come out, your backs are going to be bent over 04:45 carrying the blessings of God, the glory of God, the 04:48 anointing of God, the peace of God, the power of God. 04:51 So you know, Pharaoh just doesn't have 600 chariots just 04:58 to catch some slaves. 05:00 His best soldiers to catch some farmers. 05:04 He's after money. 05:06 There's been a shift, a transfer. 05:09 So, I've got some news today. 05:11 I'm not CNN. 05:15 I'm not 11 Alive or Channel 2 News, but I've got a news 05:21 flash. 05:23 A shift is coming. 05:28 I'm so glad. 05:31 Troubles don't last always. 05:36 And I don't know what you've been going through. 05:39 I don't know how long you've been going through it, but a 05:43 spiritual shift is coming. 05:46 Hold on because help is on the way. 05:50 The latter rain is about to fall. 05:54 It's just not by happenstance that all these people are 05:58 sitting up in the Adventist Church today. 06:02 Understand, Jesus is soon to come. 06:07 God going to give you double for your trouble. 06:11 You're latter is going to be greater than your past. 06:16 So, the Israelites started bringing the kids, Moses gets 06:20 his sister, he gets his cousin, he gets everybody. 06:23 Over a million people are going down through the dry 06:28 bed, Pharaoh is chasing them. 06:29 Let me tell you something. 06:31 It's hard to run with a million folk. 06:34 Think about it. 06:37 You've got to walk it out. 06:40 The enemy is running, but the children of Israel are 06:46 walking. 06:47 Somebody is going to get this in a minute. 06:49 They're walking by faith and not by sight. 06:56 Somebody is going to get this in a minute. 06:59 The Israelites step down into deliverance. 07:02 Pastor Byrd, what do you mean? 07:03 When we read about their deliverance we shout. 07:07 We get excited. 07:07 But you know what? 07:09 They didn't. 07:10 When we read about God's blowing back the Red Sea, we 07:13 get happy, but they didn't. 07:14 When we read about dry ground at the bottom of the sea bed, 07:18 we rejoice, but they didn't because sometimes when God 07:22 delivers you, it doesn't feel like deliverance, it feels 07:26 like danger. 07:28 Let me illustrate. 07:31 Let me get personal. 07:32 People will call me, they'll say Dr. Byrd, your ministry is 07:40 blowing up. 07:42 Your church is blowing up. 07:45 Your church is growing, your membership is growing, you're 07:47 building buildings, you're buying buildings, we're 07:49 acquiring buildings, renovating buildings, 07:52 acquiring properties, on national TV, God is blessing 07:54 you. 07:57 But when I hear this, I get concerned, because I say to 08:02 myself, I wish I felt like what they were talking about. 08:06 They're talking to me about dry ground, about walking 08:09 through a Red Sea, but they don't have the fear that I 08:12 have of walking through wet walls. 08:17 They're looking at the way that God made for me, but I'm 08:19 looking at what God is taking me through. 08:23 The water to the left and the water to the right is standing 08:28 up as tall as this building and it's hard to be happy. 08:35 Anybody know what I'm talking about? 08:36 It's hard to feel good about it. 08:39 Yes, I'm here, but even though I'm here, Pharaoh's still 08:44 coming. 08:46 And I thank you, Lord, for the dry ground, but let me not 08:50 look up, let me just keep walking. 08:54 Have you ever seen God make a way for you but you couldn't 08:58 enjoy the way because you kept thinking about, any minute 09:02 these walls of water could come down and kill me at any 09:05 time. 09:10 God told me today, preach this message because God is 09:16 delivering somebody. 09:19 God is going to deliver somebody watching this 09:21 broadcast, while you are yet in danger. 09:25 Who am I preaching to today? 09:28 You are delivered in a dangerous situation. 09:33 It would have been better if God had killed Pharaoh before 09:36 I got to this, or at least I wouldn't have to worry about 09:38 who's walking and him running and what about this water up 09:40 here. 09:43 If I could just make it through. 09:45 Help me, God, if I can just make it through. 09:48 All the while, God is in this, but it doesn't feel good 09:50 because in the back of your mind you're thinking, could 09:52 of, should of, would of. 09:54 You're clutching your stuff, you're walking through, you're 09:57 clutching your wife, clutching your kids. 09:59 You've got your business, got your church, trying to hold 10:02 onto what God has given you and God is blessing you, but 10:04 you don't feel good about it. 10:05 It's deliverance, it's rescue, it's freedom, but it's 10:07 dangerous. 10:10 And isn't it funny, I told you trouble doesn't have an 10:12 expiration date, isn't it funny how the danger always 10:14 screams louder than the deliverance. 10:17 You can hardly enjoy the dry ground for looking at the wet 10:19 walls. 10:22 But the children of Israel, the Bible teaches, kept 10:23 walking. 10:25 And so the Lord told me to tell somebody who's watching, 10:27 somebody who's in here today listening, told me to tell 10:30 you, keep on walking. 10:35 I don't know what your walls of water are, I don't know 10:41 what your Pharaoh is that's chasing you, but God told me 10:45 to tell somebody, just keep on walking. 10:52 Is there anybody here who's just glad to be here? 11:02 Just glad to be here. 11:04 I mean, you've been through hard times and everybody has a 11:09 story, but you're still walking. 11:15 You've been talked about, but you're still walking. 11:21 You've been criticized, but you're still walking. 11:26 You lost your job, but you're still walking. 11:31 You never had a job in the first place, but you're still 11:36 walking. 11:37 Your spouse left you, but you're still walking. 11:42 You see, the devil doesn't understand how somebody like 11:46 you can still praise Godhen Pharaoh is still chasing you. 11:54 You still haven't gotten to your destination, the water is 11:57 on every side, but you're saying, if it had not been for 12:03 the Lord on my side. 12:07 I'm trying to help somebody and get somebody to understand 12:08 the discomforts of freedom so that you don't think that just 12:13 because you're uncomfortable God is not there, because God 12:15 is with you in the discomfort and danger of your deliverance 12:18 even though you don't feel the joy you expected to feel. 12:20 They're coming through it, but here comes mean old Pharaoh. 12:25 He's gaining on them. 12:28 He's got to gain, because after all he's running and 12:32 they're walking. 12:34 Have you ever felt that trouble was gaining on you? 12:36 It wasn't like you weren't making progress, but you 12:39 weren't making it fast enough for the level of trouble that 12:40 was coming against you. 12:42 But don't worry about it. 12:44 That's why God sent you to church today, because God's 12:46 going to tell you how to deal with it. 12:49 He means for the enemy to gain on you. 12:56 He's using you for bait anyway because this is nothing but a 13:01 setup to lure the enemy into a position of destruction so you 13:08 won't have to spend the next 400 years of your life 13:11 worrying about your past 400 years. 13:15 God is going to deliver you so that when you do come out, you 13:19 will be completely out. 13:21 So, just as they started to come out of it, Pharaoh's 13:25 gaining on them. 13:27 They're coming out, here comes Pharaoh coming in. 13:31 It's always true that when you're on the verge of finally 13:33 getting it all together that it seems the forces of hell 13:36 begin to break loose. 13:38 Now, the Bible doesn't tell you that God just dealt with 13:42 the enemy. 13:42 It said that he looked to the pillar of fire, like he just 13:46 stuck his face in the pillar of fire, and saw them about to 13:49 be destroyed. 13:51 God told Israel, don't worry. 13:53 Don't worry that he's looking at you. 14:00 So when the Pharaoh starts coming through the way that 14:05 God had only made for his people, all of a sudden the 14:09 wheels of the chariots started falling off. 14:14 Now the Bible told us that these were Pharaoh's best, 14:18 chosen chariots. 14:23 He shouldn't have been having trouble with these chariots. 14:27 Do you all hear what I'm saying. 14:29 That's why your enemies don't know when they start messing 14:33 with you, that when they start, oh, help me, Holy 14:36 Ghost, when they start messing with you, God will make things 14:41 break down that should have been working right. 14:45 Your enemies are cursed with a curse. 14:50 God says, I will bless them that bless you. 14:53 I will curse them that curse you and no weapons formed 14:57 against you is going to prosper. 15:03 All of a sudden I can hear Pharaoh talking to his boys 15:05 now. 15:06 Pharaoh, what's wrong, man? 15:08 The chariots, the chariot's not working. 15:13 What you mean it's not working? 15:15 The wheels, they're not working. 15:18 What do you mean the wheels aren't working? 15:20 They're coming off. 15:23 That's what your enemy will go through when they try to kill 15:25 you. 15:27 Right in the middle of their attack, when they come in for 15:32 the kill, things are going to start breaking down in their 15:36 own life, because God's going to break off the wheels to get 15:42 you out. 15:43 Are you hearing what I'm saying? 15:45 So when they came out of the Red Sea, talking about the 15:48 children of Israel, and Pharaoh's trying to catch 15:51 them, but his stuff is falling apart, they're getting 15:54 confused and they're starting to become disheartened in 15:57 their pursuit. 15:58 Your enemies are going to start becoming disheartened in 16:01 their pursuit, because after they've done everything they 16:04 could to destroy you, God will keep on blessing you anyhow. 16:08 You all hear what I'm saying? 16:10 They've invested all this time, all this energy, all 16:15 this money in forming weapons to bring you down, but yet 16:19 their wheels keep coming off. 16:23 So when they got out, God says to Moses, Moses, don't just 16:26 walk out, the same hand that you used to open up the way, 16:34 raise up that hand to shut it down again. 16:39 God said, as soon as you come through this, God says, I'm 16:45 going to shut it down and all you have to do is give God the 16:49 sign and when you give God the sign, all of a sudden walls 16:54 that you were worried about falling down on you, they're 16:57 going to fall down on them. 16:59 That's why, and listen to me good, you better be careful 17:02 who you dog out. 17:05 You better be careful who you talk about. 17:09 You better be careful who you criticize. 17:11 Be ye sure your sins shall find you out, because 17:14 whatsoever a man soweth, that shall be also reaped. 17:24 So here they come up out of the Red Sea. 17:26 Moses turns back around, stretches forth his hand, and 17:32 when he stretches forth his hand everything that opened 17:36 up, shuts down. 17:40 For the same God that opens doors, shuts doors. 17:46 Don't worry about the people who are trying to imitate you, 17:49 don't worry about the people who are trying to step in your 17:52 blessing, don't worry about people who want your job or 17:54 are trying to get your position, because the same God 17:57 that opened up the doors for you is the same God that will 18:01 shut the doors for you, too. 18:04 When they got across the Red Sea, all of a sudden the water 18:07 came down, the waters that they were worried about coming 18:11 down on them, came down on the enemy and all of a sudden 18:14 Pharaoh and his army drowned in the Red Sea. 18:18 Miriam grabbed a tambourine, grabbed a tambourine and she 18:27 began to shake and play that thing. 18:31 She grabbed that tambourine and began to praise God. 18:34 So what this is, is this praise is a delayed reaction. 18:40 Sometimes it takes a few minutes to praise God for what 18:44 God has already done, but when you look back over your 18:48 shoulder, when you look back over your life and you see 18:52 where God has brought you from, you ought to give God 18:56 some praise. 18:58 You ought to give God some glory. 19:01 You ought to give God some honor. 19:03 So excuse me if I get loud sometimes, excuse me if I wave 19:09 my hands sometimes, excuse me a minute, but I owe God some 19:13 praise. 19:15 Past due praise. 19:17 I praise him for what he did yesterday. 19:19 I praise him for what he's doing today. 19:21 I praise him for what he's getting ready to do. 19:23 Praise him for what he brought you through. 19:26 You thought you couldn't make it, 19:30 thought you couldn't take it. 19:31 But God, who am I talking to today, the Lord is my light, my 19:36 salvation, whom shall I fear? 19:40 The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be 19:46 afraid? 19:48 The enemies you see today, you're not going to see them 19:51 anymore. 19:52 Praise him, praise him, praise him, praise him. 19:59 Is there anybody here that wants to praise him? 20:01 For what he's done. 20:03 For what he's doing. 20:05 For what he's going to do. 20:06 For all the things he's kept off you. 20:10 For all the folks he kept off you. 20:13 For all the bill collectors he kept off you. 20:15 For the things he didn't let happen to you. 20:18 As bad as it is, it could be worse, and you still won't 20:23 praise him? 20:25 You owe God a praise. 20:31 I said, you owe God a praise. 20:33 I almost didn't make it, but God. 20:38 You almost lost your mind, but God. 20:42 You almost gave up, but God. 20:45 So when I think of the goodness of Jesus and all he's 20:49 done for me, my soul, my soul, my soul cries out, hallelujah, 20:58 thank God for saving me. 21:01 So all come magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his 21:05 name together. 21:06 Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me, 21:10 bless his holy name. 21:12 Free at last, free at last. 21:16 Thank God Almighty, we're free at last, hallelujah, 21:27 hallelujah, hallelujah. 21:36 God, you did it. 21:44 You kept us when we couldn't keep ourselves. 21:53 In our home, on our job, in the classroom, in school, 22:09 in the church. 22:13 You kept us. 22:17 You kept us. 22:20 God, thank you, thank you for keeping me. 22:28 When the storms of life are raising, God, stand by me. 22:32 Thank you. 22:35 Thank you for keeping me. 22:41 So God, we look back this month and we look back, oh, 22:45 God, over what you've done for us as a people. 22:49 But Lord, in the words of Ellen White, we have nothing 22:51 to fear for the future unless we forget how you've led us in 22:54 the past. 22:57 And so, God, I look forward with great expectancy and 23:00 anticipation for what you're going to do for us, 23:03 individually and collectively, because you will. 23:12 You will carry each and every one of us through. 23:14 So, God, today, while we have a measure of freedom right now 23:21 on this earth, the day is coming God 23:24 when you are going to be soon seen breaking through the 23:27 clouds. 23:30 The dead in Christ are going to rise first. 23:34 Then we which are alive remain are going to be caught up to 23:37 meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with you. 23:44 Lord, hold us until that day when we get to your great 23:51 heaven, when we stand on the sea of glass, when we study 23:57 war no more, when we sing and never get tired. 24:03 We'll truly be able to say, free at last. 24:06 Free at last, thank God Almighty. 24:11 We're free at last. 24:16 And so, God, today forgive me of my sins, thank you for your 24:21 keeping power on me and my wife, our children, our church 24:24 family. 24:26 Thank you for your keeping power over each and every home 24:29 represented here today and each and every visitor who's 24:30 here, each and every minister. 24:32 member, thank you for your keeping power. 24:35 Thank you for the keeping power over every viewer who's 24:37 watching this right now that God wants to be free right 24:40 now. 24:42 God, move in their lives, because, Lord, I'm going to 24:45 invite them to give their life to you right now. 24:48 People in the balcony, people in the main floor, people in 24:50 the overflow, people watching my Internet and television, 24:53 God, right now I'm going to give them an opportunity to 24:56 thank you for your keeping power. 25:00 To thank you in such a way that they're saying that they 25:02 can't continue to live the way they've been living, but they 25:04 want to be free, they want to be free in Jesus, because if 25:06 Jesus sets them free, they will be free indeed. 25:09 So God, today, right now, right here in this place, 25:13 forgive me my sins, because, Lord, we're going to open up 25:16 the doors to this church right now, so our men, women, boys 25:21 and girls give me their hand, but, Lord, give you their 25:23 hearts saying they want to be free in you, no more chains, 25:27 no more anything binding and bounding. 25:32 So move, God, we pray. 25:34 PB: Be sure to join us again next week as we continue to 25:38 explore God's word. 25:42 Remember, God has a word just for you from the Holy Bible. 25:45 Also, I'd like to invite you to become a partner of the 25:48 Breath of Life ministry. 25:51 If you would like to join us as we seek to share the gospel 25:54 of Jesus Christ with others, feel free to give us a call at 25:57 877-BOL-OFFER. 26:03 Again, that's 877-BOL-OFFER. 26:10 Or feel free to write us at the address shown on your 26:14 screen. 26:16 Finally, you can reach us by logging onto our web site at 26:19 www.breathoflife.tv. 26:28 Thank you for tuning in. 26:28 Thank you for joining us and may God continue to bless you. 26:34 >: Life is full of questions. 26:36 Sometimes we don't know which way to go or where to turn. 26:39 We have doubts and fears and we wonder what it all means. 26:43 But there are answers and there is hope waiting for you 26:47 in God's word, the Bible. 26:49 And there's no better way to start exploring the plans he 26:51 has for you than in the "Discover Bible Guides."
