00:10 ♪ oh yes, he's worthy ♪ú ♪ worthy of all ♪ 00:17 (Music) We're going to get right 00:22 into the Word, and as you all know, I love the Word of God. 00:24 Come on, say Amen. 00:25 Do you love the Word of God? 00:26 Let me hear you say Amen. 00:28 Amen. 00:29 We love the Word of God so much. 00:30 Take your Bibles right now and hold them up with me, 00:32 everybody. 00:33 Hold your Bibles up with me and repeat after me and say, 00:36 if it's in the Word it deserves to be heard. 00:40 Come on, say it again. 00:41 If it's in the Word it deserves to be heard. 00:45 Praise be to God. 00:47 We have said it and we will continue to say it. 00:49 Know what you believe, know why you believe it, and 00:54 know where it's found. 00:57 Are you hearing what I'm saying, everybody? 01:00 We just don't come to church, we just don't try to 01:02 be religious and try to be spiritual. 01:04 But we need to know what we believe, why we believe 01:06 what we believe, and where it's found. 01:08 Come on, say Amen. 01:10 Because I believe if you're going to shout, you 01:12 better say something worth shouting about. 01:13 Do I have a witness in this place? 01:15 We're going to take our Bibles and go to the 01:16 Book of Revelation. 01:17 What book, everybody? 01:18 Let's go to Revelation, chapter 20, and we're going 01:20 to read verses 1, 2, 3 and 4. 01:25 Revelation 20:1-4. 01:31 If you have it let me hear you say Amen. 01:41 Praise be to God. 01:42 We're going to read now, and you're hearing, the Word of 01:44 God says, "And I saw an angel come down 01:46 from" where, everybody? 01:47 Come on, come down from where? 01:49 Having the key of the bottomless what? Pit. 01:53 And a great chain in his what, everybody? 01:55 Verse 2, the Word says, And he laid hold on the what? 01:59 That old what? 02:01 Which is the what? 02:02 And Satan, and bound him for how many years? 02:06 One thousand years. 02:07 Verse 3, the Word goes on: "And cast him into the 02:10 bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, 02:15 that he should deceive the nations no more, till the," 02:18 how many years? 02:19 Thousand. 02:20 So how many years, everybody? 02:21 "Thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he 02:24 must be loosed a little season."Verse 4, the Word 02:27 says, "And I saw what? 02:29 "Thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given 02:32 unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for 02:35 the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had 02:39 not worshipped the"what? 02:41 Beast, neither his what? 02:42 Image, neither had received his mark upon their what? 02:45 Foreheads, or in their what? 02:47 Hands; and they lived and they reigned with Christ 02:53 a thousand years. Amen. 02:55 Turn to your neighbor and say, "Neighbor, today we're 02:58 going to talk about the devil's vacation."God, 03:04 right now, come in this place. 03:06 Speak, Lord, for your servants heareth. 03:10 God, I pray that the Holy Ghost would just fall afresh 03:13 on each and every one of us who witness and experience 03:17 your Word today. 03:18 And oh God, when the appeal is made, I pray that men, women, 03:22 boys and girls would come running, saying, what must I 03:24 do to be saved? 03:25 And we'll be able to say, believe on the Lord Jesus 03:27 Christ and thou shalt be saved. 03:29 Forgive us for our sins, hide me behind thy cross. 03:33 And God, we be careful to give you all the praise, 03:36 the honor and the glory. 03:37 In the name of Jesus we pray. 03:38 Let everyone say Amen. And Amen. 03:41 Now, as I tell you all the time, I get excited about the 03:45 Word of God. 03:46 But not only do I get excited about the Word of God, I get 03:49 excited about what's in the Word of God. 03:52 Because in the Word of God we discover that Jesus is God. 03:57 The Bible's very clear in Genesis 1:1, in the beginning, 04:02 in the what, everybody? 04:02 In the beginning God created the heavens and the what? 04:06 Earth. In the beginning God created the heavens 04:08 and the earth. 04:09 Excited about the Word, excited about what's 04:11 in the Word. 04:11 Excited that Jesus is God. 04:13 How do I know that? 04:14 The Word of God says in Genesis 1:26, "And God said, 04:19 let us."Let whom, everybody? 04:23 Let us make whom? Man. 04:24 Let us make man after our image, after our likeness. 04:26 Which means, when we study the Word of God, when God says, 04:30 "Let us make man,"that lets us know that they 04:33 are three in one. 04:35 The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. 04:38 Let us make man. 04:42 The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, all active 04:43 agents in creation. 04:45 And then we go to the New Testament and go to the 04:47 book of John. 04:48 John, chapter one. 04:49 And we go to John, chapter one, verse one. 04:52 The Word of God says, "In the beginning was the Word. 04:56 And the Word was with whom? 04:58 God, and the word was whom, everybody? 05:00 God. 05:01 And then the Bible says that the Word became flesh. 05:06 Which means that Jesus, who is God, became flesh, according 05:09 to John 1:14. 05:12 Jesus became flesh and he dwelt among us. 05:16 Now, understand, we were sinners. 05:20 We had messed up. 05:24 And if you think you are not a sinner, you think you have not 05:28 messed up, think again. 05:29 Because all of us have sinned and come short of 05:33 the glory of God. 05:35 If you have sinned, then, you need a Savior. 05:40 So what did for us was, God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to 05:47 come to this earth to be our Savior. 05:50 We know that familiar text, John 3:16, For God so loved 05:53 the what, everybody? 05:54 World, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever 05:57 believeth in him should not perish but have 06:00 everlasting what? 06:01 So I am excited about the Word of God. 06:05 I'm excited about what's in the Word of God. 06:07 I'm excited that Jesus is God, and I get excited that 06:11 Jesus saved my soul. 06:13 Matthew 1:21 says, "And she shall bring forth a son. 06:17 Thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall save his 06:21 people from their sins. 06:25 "And so it was. 06:26 At Jesus' first coming, when he came as a babe, when he 06:31 came lying in a manger. 06:32 When Jesus came the first time, Jesus came to 06:36 save his people. 06:38 Jesus came to save each and every one of us. 06:41 Jesus came to save us from everything and everybody. 06:46 And I must be clear today that while I praise Jesus, while I 06:52 worship Jesus, while I love Jesus, I also understand that 06:59 for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. 07:05 What do I mean by that? 07:06 While I love Jesus, and for everything that's good I 07:11 recognize there's something bad. 07:14 For everything that's right, there's something wrong. 07:18 For everything that's nice, there's something nasty. 07:23 And so then the opposite or the antithesis, if you will, 07:26 of Jesus is Satan. 07:28 Satan is bad. 07:29 Satan is wrong. 07:31 And Satan is nasty. 07:34 Satan is a liar. 07:36 And he's the father of all lies. 07:39 Let me be clear: Satan does not like you. 07:43 Satan does not like your husband. 07:49 Satan does not like your wife. 07:51 Satan doesn't even like your mama. 07:53 Satan doesn't like your daddy, Satan doesn't like 07:55 your son, Satan doesn't like your daughter. 07:57 Satan does not like you. But guess what? 08:01 Satan and I, we have an agreement. 08:03 I hate him, and he hates me. 08:07 Do I have a witness in this place? 08:09 But understand, and don't get it twisted today, while 08:14 Satan is the opposite or the antithesis of my Jesus, Satan 08:18 is no match for Jesus. 08:20 Because greater is he that is in me than the devil Satan 08:25 that's in the world. 08:27 Are you hearing what I'm saying? 08:28 Understand that if there is a greater than, there must 08:31 be a less than. 08:34 So why is Satan no match for Jesus? 08:37 Well, go with me to the book of Ezekiel. 08:38 What book did I say, everybody? 08:40 Go with me to the book of Ezekiel, Ezekiel 28 is 08:42 where we're going. 08:42 Why is Satan no match for Jesus? 08:45 Go to Ezekiel, chapter 28, and we're going to verse 15. 08:48 Why is Satan no match for Jesus? 08:51 Understand, number one, Satan is no match 08:54 for Jesus because Satan is a created being. 08:57 Satan is a created being. 08:59 Go with me to Ezekiel 28. 09:02 I want to show you where it points out in Ezekiel 28 where 09:07 Satan is a created being. 09:10 In other words, you're never to put the devil, not even 09:15 close to the power of who God is. 09:17 Because the devil is a created being. 09:22 God, you see, wasn't created. 09:25 God has always been here. 09:27 God will always be here. 09:30 God always was, God always is, God always will be. 09:36 Are you hearing what I'm saying? 09:37 The Bible is very clear in Ezekiel 28:15, 09:39 talking about Satan. 09:42 The Bible says, and I read and you're hearing, Thou was 09:46 perfect in thy what? 09:47 Ways, from the day that thou was what? 09:51 Come on, from the day that thou was what, everybody? 09:53 Created. 09:54 He's a created being. 09:55 Till iniquity was found in thee. 09:59 The devil is a created being. 10:02 Therefore, because the devil is a created being, he cannot 10:05 have all power. 10:06 But let me give you some advice. 10:08 Quit giving the devil so much credit. 10:10 The devil is not all powerful like the all-powerful God. 10:14 Are you hearing what I'm saying, everybody? 10:16 The devil is no match for God. 10:19 And let me give you another word of advice. 10:22 Don't get on God's bad side. 10:25 Let me tell you something, they used to say it years ago: 10:28 Your arms are too short to box with God. 10:31 You better know that any time creation tries to war against 10:34 the Creator, they are going to get beat down. 10:37 For Creator is never going to lose to creation. 10:40 Do I have a witness in this place? 10:42 Now, the devil was not created the devil. 10:47 He's a created being, but he was not necessarily 10:50 created the devil. 10:51 For the Bible says that because of his own corruption 10:55 he became the devil. 10:58 Which means that not only is the devil a created being, but 11:03 number two, the devil is a corrupt being. 11:06 Look at verse 18 again. 11:08 "Thou was perfect in all thy ways, from the day that thou 11:14 was created, till iniquity was found in thee. 11:20 "How, Pastor Byrd, was iniquity found in Satan? 11:26 We don't know. 11:28 It was found in him. 11:30 Satan is a corrupted being. 11:31 He is corrupted because he violated relationship 11:34 with God. 11:36 And understand what was the outcome because 11:39 of his corruption. 11:40 God threw Satan out of heaven and Satan was then 11:44 assigned to planet Earth. 11:46 In fact, according to Revelation, chapter 20, one 11:51 day God will punish Satan for good. 11:56 Which means, number three, he's a condemned being. 12:01 So number one, he's a created being. 12:06 Number two, he's a corrupted being, and then number three, 12:10 he is a condemned being. 12:14 The day is going to come where God is going to say, 12:17 enough is enough. 12:20 Satan, I've had enough. 12:23 I've had enough of you messing with my people. 12:26 I've had enough of you deceiving my people. 12:30 I've had enough of you hurting my people. 12:33 I've had enough of you causing confusion. 12:36 I've had enough of your lying, I've had enough of 12:39 your stealing, I've had enough of your killing, I've 12:41 had enough of doubt, depression, deceit. 12:44 I've had enough of death; Satan, I've had enough. 12:48 Cancer, I've had enough. 12:51 I've had enough of children going to bed hungry at night. 12:55 I've had enough of recession. 12:58 I've had enough of sickness. 13:01 God is going to tell Satan one day very soon, Satan, 13:04 I've had enough. 13:06 And so one day very soon, God is going to also tell Satan, 13:11 and because I've had enough, I'm coming back 13:14 to get my people. 13:17 Because, you see, the first time Jesus 13:20 came to save his people. 13:22 But the second time Jesus comes, Jesus is coming to 13:27 get his people. 13:30 John 14:1-3 says, "Let not your heart be troubled. 13:34 Ye believe in God, believe also in me. 13:37 In my Father's house are many mansions. 13:39 If it were not so, I would have told you. 13:41 I go and prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a 13:43 place for you,"God says, "I will come again and 13:45 receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be 13:49 also."And friends, that's what I'm looking for. 13:52 That's why I wave my hands sometimes. 13:55 That's why I raise and elevate my voice in 13:58 worship sometimes. 13:59 That's why I stomp my feet sometimes, because I know that 14:03 one day soon and very soon, Jesus is coming back 14:07 to get his people. 14:10 "Behold,"Paul says, "I show you a mystery, 14:12 that one day we shall not all sleep," 14:15 but one day, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, we 14:19 shall all be changed. 14:20 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, where this 14:24 must put on immortality, and death is going to be 14:27 swallowed up in victory. 14:30 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a 14:35 shout, with the voice of the archangel and 14:38 the trump of God. 14:39 And God says, "The dead in Christ are going to 14:42 rise first."Hallelujah, somebody. 14:44 The first time, Jesus came to save his people. 14:49 But the second time, Jesus is coming back to get his people. 14:53 Does anybody want Jesus to come? 14:56 Is anybody tired, sick and tired of living from 14:59 paycheck to paycheck? 15:00 Anybody tired of paying that house note? 15:04 Come on, say Amen. 15:04 And you're upside down on your house note right now. 15:05 Anybody tired of taking medicine this, medicine that? 15:07 Anybody tired of chemotherapy, insulin shots? 15:10 Anybody tired of high gas prices? 15:13 Well, God's got some wings just for you. 15:17 Tired of your high house note? 15:19 God's got a mansion prepared just for you. 15:23 Because Jesus, thank you Lord, is coming back. 15:26 He's coming back the second time to get his people. 15:32 Hallelujah, home at last, the redeemed will be home at last. 15:36 So Jesus is coming back. 15:39 When is he coming back? 15:40 Will we recognize? 15:41 Go to the book of Matthew. 15:42 What book did I say, everybody? 15:44 Go to the book of Matthew. 15:45 When is Jesus coming back? 15:46 We don't know exactly the date, but we do know Jesus is 15:50 coming back real soon. 15:51 Matthew chapter 24, and going to verse 36. 15:54 The Word of God says to us today, Matthew 24:36, the Word 16:00 says, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not 16:02 the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 16:06 But as in the days of Noah, so shall also the coming of the 16:10 Son of Man be. 16:11 For as in the days that were before the flood, they were," 16:14 doing what, everybody? 16:15 Eating and what? 16:16 Marrying and giving in what? 16:17 They were marrying and giving in marriage until the day that 16:20 Noah, the Bible says, entered into the ark. 16:23 The Bible goes on in Matthew 24 and says they were doing 16:27 all these things and knew not until the flood came, 16:29 took them all away. 16:30 So shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. 16:32 But the Bible goes on some more. 16:35 Verse 42: Watch, therefore, for ye know not what hour your 16:41 Lord doth come. 16:42 Which means, you may think Jesus is 16:44 going to come at 8:00. 16:45 You don't know that. 16:45 No one knows the time, the day of Jesus' coming. 16:50 Verse 44: Therefore, then, be ye also ready. 16:54 Everybody say ready. 16:55 For in such an hour as ye think not, the 16:58 Son of Man cometh. 17:01 Oh yes, he's coming. 17:02 But what are the signs of his coming? 17:05 Matthew 24, we can read those as well. 17:08 Take heed that no man deceive you. 17:11 Because just before Jesus comes, the Bible is very clear 17:14 in verse 5 that there are going to be many folks that 17:17 come in the name of Jesus. 17:18 Jesus' Word says, himself speaking, he says, there are 17:21 going to be wars and rumors of war, earthquakes, famines, 17:24 pestilences, but I am encouraged by the Word of God, 17:28 because the Word of God says in verse 13 of Matthew 24, but 17:30 he that endureth to the end, the same is going to be saved. 17:36 Hallelujah, somebody. 17:37 Understand, this gospel of the kingdom must be preached, as a 17:41 witness into all the world, and then shall the end come. 17:46 No later, no sooner. 17:49 But then shall the end come. 17:53 Let's get into the Word. 17:53 We understand that Jesus is coming soon. 17:56 We understand the signs surrounding his coming. 17:58 We understand how he's going to return. 18:00 According to Acts 1:9-11, Jesus left this earth in the 18:04 clouds, and when he comes back, he's coming 18:07 back in a cloud. 18:08 We also recognize that because of that, Jesus' feet 18:10 will never touch the earth. 18:11 Understand, there's a whole lot of erroneous teaching 18:15 going on out there, but if it's not in the Word it 18:17 doesn't deserve to be heard. 18:18 Understand that if anybody tells you that Jesus' feet 18:22 will touch this earth when he comes, that's a lie 18:25 from the pits of hell. 18:26 Because he left in a cloud, Acts 1:9 says, he's 18:30 coming back in a cloud. 18:32 But not only that, Revelation 1:7 says that when he comes 18:36 every eye is going to see him. 18:38 Everybody, we're all going to see Jesus when he comes. 18:42 Now, I shared this with you earlier, and I share 18:45 it again today. 18:46 I believe that repetition deepens the impression. 18:48 Understand that when Jesus Christ returns, there will be 18:53 four, there will be how many, everybody? 18:56 Come on, how many, everybody? Four. 18:59 Four primary groups of people. 19:00 When Jesus Christ returns the second time. 19:02 Because remember, the first time, he came to what? 19:05 Save his people. 19:06 He came to what, everybody? 19:07 Save his people. 19:09 The second time Jesus comes, Jesus is coming to what? 19:12 Get his people. 19:14 Now, when Jesus comes the second time, and when he comes 19:17 to get his people, the Bible is very clear that there are 19:21 four primary groups of people. 19:24 What are they, Pastor Byrd? 19:25 I'll tell you what they are. 19:26 The Bible's very clear in I Thessalonians, 19:28 chapter 4 and verse 16. 19:31 The Bible says, "For the Lord himself shall descend 19:35 from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and 19:39 the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise" 19:43 what, everybody? First. 19:44 So that means at Jesus' second coming, listen to 19:47 me carefully, at Jesus' second coming, group number one, 19:50 primary group number one, the righteous dead, the Bible is 19:54 clear that they are going to rise what? First. 19:58 Now, let's read verse 17 of the same book of the Bible and 20:01 the same chapter. 20:03 The Bible says in I Thessalonians 4:17, Then 20:05 we which are alive and what? 20:08 Remain shall be caught up together with them in 20:11 the what? Clouds. 20:12 That makes sense, because we just read in Acts 1:9-11 that 20:15 Jesus left in a cloud, he will return the second 20:19 time in a cloud. 20:20 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up 20:23 together with them in the what? Clouds. 20:25 And so shall we ever be with the Lord. 20:30 So group number one, the righteous dead, they rise 20:32 what? First. 20:33 Group number two, the righteous living, are caught 20:36 up to meet the Lord in the what? Air. 20:38 Group number three, primary group at Jesus' 20:41 second coming. 20:41 First coming, save his people. 20:43 Second coming, get his people. 20:44 When Jesus comes back the second time, Group number 20:48 three, the wicked or the unrighteous living. 20:51 Go with me to II Thessalonians, 20:53 what book, everybody? 20:53 And we're going to chapter 2. 20:56 II Thessalonians 2:, and we're going to verse 8. 21:02 II Thessalonians 2:8. 21:07 Let's find it there in our Bibles. 21:09 II Thessalonians 2:8. 21:14 The Word of God says, And then shall that wicked be 21:17 what, everybody? 21:19 Revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his 21:23 what? Mouth, and shall destroy with 21:26 the brightness of his what? 21:28 All right. 21:29 Know what you believe, know why you believe it, 21:31 know where it's found. 21:32 When Jesus comes back the second time, he's 21:35 coming to get his people. 21:36 Group number one, the righteous dead, rise first. 21:40 Group number two, the righteous living, are caught 21:43 up to meet the Lord in the what? Air. 21:45 Group number three, the wicked or the unrighteous living, the 21:48 Bible teaches that they die at the brightness of 21:51 Jesus' coming. 21:52 And sometimes I have to test myself. 21:57 And I have to look at the sun dead in the eye. 22:01 I have to sometimes look at light dead in the eye to make 22:04 sure I can look at them, because I don't want to die 22:06 at the brightness of Jesus' coming. 22:08 Come on, say Amen. 22:09 Righteous dead rise first. 22:11 Righteous living are caught up to meet the Lord in the air. 22:15 Wicked or unrighteous living die at the brightness 22:17 of his coming. 22:18 Then group number four, Revelation. 22:21 What book did I say, everybody? 22:23 Let's go to Revelation chapter 20, and we're going 22:26 to verse number 5. 22:27 Revelation 20:5. 22:28 The Word of God says to us today in Revelation 20:5, But 22:39 the rest of the what? 22:40 Dead live not again until the thousand years 22:44 were what? Finished. 22:45 This is the first resurrection. 22:47 This is the first what, everybody? 22:49 Now, keep your Bibles open to that text. 22:51 We're going to go back there in just a moment. 22:53 Keep your Bibles open to that text, Revelation 20:5. 22:55 Group number four, the wicked dead, are going to remain dead 23:00 at Jesus' second coming. 23:01 Are you hearing what I'm saying? 23:03 The wicked dead at Jesus' second coming are 23:06 going to remain dead. 23:08 But the rest of the dead live not again until the thousand 23:13 years were what? Finished. 23:14 So at Jesus' second coming, we know he's coming back, 23:19 and I get excited about that. 23:20 But at Jesus second coming the righteous dead will rise 23:23 first, the righteous living will be caught up to meet the 23:25 Lord in the air, the wicked living will die at the 23:28 brightness of his coming, and the wicked dead will remain 23:32 what, everybody? Dead. 23:33 Now, let's know what we believe, why we believe it, 23:36 and where it's found. 23:36 I shared it with you earlier, I share it again. 23:38 If the righteous at their earthly death were already in 23:44 heaven, who would Jesus be coming back for at his 23:50 second coming? 23:52 The righteous would already be in heaven. 23:54 So if Jesus, when Jesus comes back the second time to get 23:57 his people, there would be nobody for Jesus to get 23:59 because if the righteous at their earthly death would 24:02 already be in heaven, there would be nobody that 24:05 would rise first. 24:06 But the reality as we're getting into the Word of God 24:11 and digging deeper, knowing what we believe, why we 24:13 believe it, and where it's found, the reality is that 24:15 when an individual dies their earthly death, they don't go 24:20 straight to heaven. 24:22 The Bible says that at Jesus' second coming the 24:27 dead in Christ shall rise what?
