ultimately that leads us

to the very throne room of God,

where He brings us
back into His presence.

And that's the
entire plan of salvation,

it is to bring us back
into the presence of God.

The blueprint that
we have been discussing,

given the children of Israel

But in Ezekiel 28, the
Bible speaks of this angel

that we
understand to be Lucifer,

"He was called
the covering cherub."

He was perfect in his ways
00:02:40.32\00:02:42.23
when he was
created the Bible says,

"Until inequity
was found in him."

Looking at this
concept of covering cherub,

it led us through
the Old Testament,
00:02:48.66\00:02:50.61
where we saw that
God had given Moses
00:02:50.62\00:02:53.83
this instruction
to build this temple,
00:02:53.84\00:02:57.06
the sanctuary in the wilderness.
00:02:57.07\00:02:59.13
And the sanctuary was
like a miniature model
00:02:59.14\00:03:02.75
of the throne room of
God or the Kingdom of God,
00:03:02.76\00:03:06.10
if you will, His government.
00:03:06.11\00:03:08.48
Inside that
sanctuary was something
00:03:08.49\00:03:10.53
called the Most Holy Place,
00:03:10.54\00:03:12.42
and inside that Most Holy Place
00:03:12.43\00:03:14.32
was the "Ark of the Covenant."
00:03:14.33\00:03:16.46
On top of that
Ark, was the Mercy Seat.
00:03:16.47\00:03:19.12
You can read all this in
the Book of Exodus Chapter 25.

The mercy seat was
symbolic of God's throne.
00:03:21.89\00:03:25.89
And on either side of the mercy
seat were covering cherubs.

Angels, whose job
it was, was to protect
00:03:31.03\00:03:35.27
and defend as it
were the law of God,
00:03:35.28\00:03:37.41
that what cover means to defend.
00:03:37.42\00:03:39.46
So based upon
this miniature model
00:03:39.47\00:03:41.66
of God's throne room in heaven,

we can look at
that model and see,

Lucifer, Satan was
one of these angels,
00:03:46.32\00:03:49.73
one of these two angels
00:03:49.74\00:03:50.87
that stood in the
very presence of God
00:03:50.88\00:03:53.87
and was in charge or was
his, was commissioned to uphold
00:03:53.88\00:03:58.37
and to show the
sanctity of the law of God.

But the Bible
tells us that Lucifer

he was perfect in his ways
00:04:05.61\00:04:07.68
until inequity was found in him.

Now that word
inequity means sin,

and sin means
transgression of the law.

So, Lucifer, who was to
be defending the law of God,

which is the foundation
of his throne, remember,

"The mercy seat
rested upon the Ark."

Lucifer, who was to be defending
00:04:23.41\00:04:25.46
that law turned against it

and hence there
was war in heaven.

Lucifer and his
angels are cast out,

God raises up
humanity, creates planet earth,

and creates Adam and Eve, okay.

And part of the reason
that He creates Adam and Eve,

we're told, is
to serve as jurors.

We read that in First
Corinthians 6:1 through 3,

where the Bible says,

"Know ye not that the
saints shall judge angels?"
00:04:49.01\00:04:51.64
We're talking
about judging the Lucifer
00:04:51.65\00:04:54.17
and his fallen angels.
00:04:54.18\00:04:56.22
But, you know,
this, we know the story,

Adam and Eve sinned,
they fall fromthe grace of God
00:04:57.84\00:05:01.63
and hence the plan of
salvation is put in place

to bring mankind
back to the throne of God.

Remember, well,
according to the verse

Psalms 77:13 tells us
00:05:12.35\00:05:14.41
"'Thy way, O God." Is
where?" In the sanctuary."

When Lucifer was
rebelling against God in heaven,

he was rebelling against
God's way of doing things.
00:05:21.41\00:05:26.13
So, when God creates mankind

and calls him to
walk in God's way,

Lucifer,
approaches Eve in the Garden

and gets her to
turn away from God.

The plan of
salvation is designed

to lead us back into
the way, back to God.

And so we find in
Exodus Chapter 25 that,

God instructs Moses
to build the sanctuary.

Now we've spent the
last, I believe three programs

going through the incredible
parallels in the sanctuary

that show the plan of salvation.

So I'm not gonna do that now,

what we've gone over so far.

But, God gives this
sanctuary blueprint to Israel

because in it is the
very path of salvation

that God wants to
get to the whole world.

So imagine with me, if you will,

I want to say this carefully,

imagine Israel as
God's football team, okay.

Just, just go with that
analogy with me for a moment.

And those who are watching
in other, in other countries,

in America football

is not the game that
you play with your feet.

Well, you use your feet,
but it's not we call soccer.

Yeah, so I think
in other countries,

people might see this,
your thinking football,

I guess it's the same,

same kind of just in
the game, same concept.

Trying to move
the ball up the field

and get it into
the goal. That's right.

Or the end zone, whatever, well,

God gives Israel this
blueprint like a football

and He says, Israel,
take it down the field,

you ought to
take this blueprint.

And because this blueprint
contains a plan of salvation,

I'm going to use
you to prepare the world

for the coming of Jesus Christ.

That was their entire mission.

And so as we begin
to consider the entire

Old Testament is
really about Satan's
00:07:20.63\00:07:24.84
or God's desire
to prepare the world
00:07:24.85\00:07:28.53
for the coming of Christ
00:07:28.54\00:07:29.97
and Satan's
desire to stop the people
00:07:29.98\00:07:34.04
who God had
called to do it, okay.
00:07:34.05\00:07:37.07
So Satan is against Israel,
00:07:37.08\00:07:39.82
and he is against the blueprint
00:07:39.83\00:07:41.25
because in that blueprint
00:07:41.26\00:07:42.62
which contains
the way of salvation.

The devil doesn't
want anyone to be saved.

So, he begins to
attack the people,

that's Israel,
and the blueprint.

And so we'll
find that, you know,

what begins to happen
throughout the Old Testament

is that Israel begins to falter,
00:07:59.30\00:08:01.96
they begin to do
all kinds of things that
00:08:01.97\00:08:04.23
that are getting them
just basically in trouble
00:08:04.24\00:08:07.19
like worshiping
idols and falling away
00:08:07.20\00:08:10.25
from the very thing God
had called them up to be.
00:08:10.26\00:08:13.99
So they started
disobeying God and His word,
00:08:14.00\00:08:17.41
taking things
into their own hands
00:08:17.42\00:08:19.01
and there's many,
many examples of that
00:08:19.02\00:08:22.05
scattered
throughout the Old Testament
00:08:22.06\00:08:25.06
and it would take
us several programs
00:08:25.07\00:08:27.96
to go over everything that
is real started to do. Yep.
00:08:27.97\00:08:30.79
But, I guess the main point is,
00:08:30.80\00:08:31.79
is they started to go
against the will of God,
00:08:31.80\00:08:34.01
started to
rebelled Him be disobedient.
00:08:34.02\00:08:35.62
Right, in other
words, we've just summarized

basically the
whole Old Testament.
00:08:38.03\00:08:40.24
The whole Old
Testament is about God's desire
00:08:40.25\00:08:43.10
to prepare the world
for the coming of Christ
00:08:43.11\00:08:45.38
through the blueprint
that He had given to Israel
00:08:45.39\00:08:49.38
and Satan's desire
to stop that mission
00:08:49.39\00:08:53.67
from being accomplished
by either destroying Israel
00:08:53.68\00:08:57.88
or calling them, causing
them to turn away from God
00:08:57.89\00:09:00.61
or destroying
the blueprint itself.

And that's what we find happens.

The children of Israel become
so rebellious that God allows,

finally allows the
nation of Babylon to come
00:09:10.21\00:09:13.94
and take them captive
00:09:13.95\00:09:16.16
because they were
rebelling against His will.
00:09:16.17\00:09:19.12
We find it in Second Chronicles
00:09:19.13\00:09:20.66
Chapter 36 verse
18, the Bible says here,
00:09:20.67\00:09:26.94
"And all the
vessels of the house of God,
00:09:26.95\00:09:29.12
great and small,
and the treasures
00:09:29.13\00:09:31.30
of the house of the Lord,
and the treasures of the king
00:09:31.31\00:09:34.77
and of his
princes, all these he,
00:09:34.78\00:09:38.02
that is Nebuchadnezzar,
brought to Babylon.
00:09:38.03\00:09:41.33
And they burnt the house of God,
00:09:41.34\00:09:43.62
and break down
the wall of Jerusalem,
00:09:43.63\00:09:45.82
and burnt all the
palaces thereof with fire,
00:09:45.83\00:09:48.78
and destroyed all vthe
goodly vessels thereof."

Now this is not the tabernacle
00:09:52.35\00:09:53.85
that was built
in the wilderness.
00:09:53.86\00:09:55.35
This is a new
tabernacle, a different temple,

a more sturdy
structure that have been built,

and this temple is the
one that was destroyed.

And so this leads us
to the Book of Daniel,

which takes us to a
very important time prophecy
00:10:11.02\00:10:14.53
that we're going to look at,
00:10:14.54\00:10:15.51
it is called the
70 week prophecy,
00:10:15.52\00:10:18.74
the 70 week prophecy,
00:10:18.75\00:10:20.07
it's found in Daniel Chapter 9.
00:10:20.08\00:10:22.36
Now this is the first of
three major time prophecies
00:10:22.37\00:10:26.65
in the Book of Daniel.
00:10:26.66\00:10:28.57
There is the 1260 day prophecy,
00:10:28.58\00:10:31.43
there is a 2300 day prophecy,
00:10:31.44\00:10:33.99
and there is the
70 week prophecy.
00:10:34.00\00:10:36.25
The 70 week prophecy is
the shortest of all three.
00:10:36.26\00:10:40.00
And we're gonna get
into other two prophecies
00:10:40.01\00:10:42.72
in a future program.

We're gonna focus in on the
70 weeks right now. Daniel 9--
00:10:44.05\00:10:48.32
And I have to say this.

Don't let your mind shutdown

as soon as you start hearing
the numbers and the prophecies,

I know there is a time
before I really understood

the blueprint
honestly, that my mind would

like oh, there it goes again.

whole point of it,

and God wants us to
understand the details.

And because the blueprint gives
us a nice wonderful overview

these time prophecies

70 week time prophecy
and what it represented,

our study with the blueprint.

do we have going on here,

the children of Israel
are in Babylonian captivity

because of their
rebellion towards God.

And Daniel 9 begins
with a Prophet Daniel,

and he is praying to God,
praying for understanding,
00:11:44.96\00:11:47.82
praying for wisdom,
praying for enlightenment.

When he receives a prophecy,
the prophecy begins in verse,

verse 24, in fact,
we'll read verse 23.

Angel comes to Daniel,
then angel comes to Daniel

as he's praying
and verse 23 reads,

"At the beginning
of Thy supplications
00:12:07.65\00:12:09.33
the commandment came
forth, and I am come,"

that is the
angel, "to show Thee,

for thou art greatly beloved,

therefore understand the matter,

and consider the vision."

Verse 24, begins,
"Seventy weeks are determined

upon Thy people
and upon Thy holy city
00:12:24.08\00:12:27.53
to finish the transgression,
to make an end of sins,

to make
reconciliation for iniquity,
00:12:31.04\00:12:33.83
to bring in
everlasting righteousness,
00:12:33.84\00:12:36.27
and to seal up the
vision and prophecy,

and to anoint the Most Holy.

Know therefore and understand,

that from the going
forth of the commandment

to restore and to build
Jerusalem unto the Messiah,

the Prince shall be seven weeks

in troublous time."

thinking what if, what was that?

We're not gonna get into
the detail of this prophecy,

the nutshell of what
this prophecy was about.

When the Bible says,
"Seventy weeks are determined."

The word means,
cutoff, allowed it to.

In other words, what the
prophecy is basically saying

and what the angel is
basically telling Daniel was,
00:13:23.15\00:13:25.41
listen Daniel,
your people, Israel,
00:13:25.42\00:13:28.09
has 70 weeks to
get their act together,
00:13:28.10\00:13:34.22
that's what's being
spoken here in this prophecy.
00:13:34.23\00:13:37.88
Seventy weeks, why?
00:13:37.89\00:13:39.16
Because in that time
period, the Messiah is coming.
00:13:39.17\00:13:43.40
The very one to
whom the sanctuary points
00:13:43.41\00:13:48.10
that very one is coming.
00:13:48.11\00:13:50.12
I have called you into existence
00:13:50.13\00:13:52.46
to prepare the world for the
coming of this man of my son.

In 70 weeks, he's gonna be here.

Seventy weeks, if
you take that time period

and look at the prophecy,

when the prophecy
was suppose to begin

which was from
the decree going forth

to restore and
to build Jerusalem.

Just a very quick
historical fact here,

that decree went
forth in 457 B.C.,

which means that the 70
weeks if you'd count 70 weeks

or four-hundred and ninety days,

do you come to the
Messiah from 457 B.C?

Absolutely not.

But, when you understand that

in Bible prophecy
a day equals a year,

then if you'd
count 457 from 457,

four-hundred and ninety years,

it will bring
you to 27 to 34 A.D.,

that is exactly the time
00:14:47.08\00:14:48.85
that the Messiah
came upon the scene,

where he was
anointed and baptized.

It's an amazing prophecy
that pinpointed the very time

that Christ was to come.

So you have the picture there?

Now, this prophecy
basically it's telling Israel,

not receive My Son,

take the ball from you

give it to another nation

that will accomplish the
work that I have set into play.

Because it wasn't so
much about a group of people

as it was just god
needing A group of people

to hold this blueprint message

and take the ball
down the field if you will.

And so he had mercy upon
Israel but... That's right.

If they could reject the Christ.

That's right, it's interesting,

you know, the
prophecy stated 70 weeks

or that will be
seventy times seven

and you remember that
Jesus once said He was asked

how often should I forgive?

And Jesus replied
seventy times seven.

This was an
extension of forgiveness
