places He has put this plan,

so that we can clearly see it.

to humanity was

furniture very quickly.

In the Outer Court of
this temple in the wilderness,

were two articles of furniture,

they're listed as number one

and two on your screen.

Number one represented
the Altar of Sacrifice,

that's where animals were
sacrificed on a daily basis.

Number two was the
Laver, that's where the priests

who would wash
their hands and feet,
00:04:01.08\00:04:03.30
so that when they
went into the temple,

they were free from
all defilement, okay.

And then as you advanced further

into the sanctuary
itself, a two compartment room

divided by a curtain,
one compartment was called

the Holy Place,
the other compartment

the Most Holy Place.

In the Holy Place compartment,

there were three articles
of furniture, they were the--

'Table of Showbread',
'the Altar of Incense'

and 'the Seven
branched Candlestick.'

Exactly, those three
articles of furniture were

found in the Holy Place.

And then if you
would advance further,

there you found the
Ark of the Covenant,

which rested underneath

underneath the Mercy Seat.

And you have two
covering cherubs there

and between those
Cherub was the very

presence of God,
the Shekinah glory.

in one of those places.

foreshadowed Christ dying

the plan of salvation begins,

'The Altar of Sacrifice.'

Now someone is out there,

they're living a
life of total, just sin,

and, you know, they
know nothing about God

or have never
committed their lives to Him.

And they're asking the question,

what must I do to be saved?

The things have
happened in their lives

and they're
wondering, what do I need to do

to grab a hold of salvation.

The Book of
Romans Chapter 10 verse 9

tells us the
first step to salvation.

All right, and a
very powerful verse

because what it tells us is that

sacrifice of Christ.

All we need to do to
come to Jesus to begin

that journey is to
confess Him with our mouths

and with our hearts,
is to believe in Him,

to accept His
sacrifice on our behalf.

And I think that's the
powerful truth because it,

it lets us know the
Christ was willing to die

in our place and He did do that.

He died in our place, so
that we don't have to die.

And He says, if you accept
my sacrifice in your place,

that's what they did
in the Old Testament.

They would take
a lamb and confess

their sins over the
head of that animal.

The sins were
transferred from the sinner

to the innocent lamb
and that innocent lamb
00:06:56.16\00:06:58.60
was slain in the sinner's stead.

And so this is what
Christ did for us on the cross,

the Bible says "If
we confess and believe

we shall be saved."

It's so simple it's, you
know, just like wow really?

That simple.

But I'll tell you,
imagine if you will,

and we don't even
need to imagine this,

we know that Satan is
doing all in his power

to keep mankind
from Jesus Christ.

That's right. The
Bible says in John 12:32.

Jesus is speaking and He says
00:07:31.28\00:07:32.50
"I, if I be lifted
up from the earth,"

and He is talking
about dying on the cross.

"If I be lifted up from
the earth" will do what?

"Draw all men unto me."

So in our little diagram,

we had there the
first article of furniture

which was the
Altar of Sacrifice.

If you are unsaved right now,
you're not even on that chart,

But something
happens and you say,

man, I want to
give my life to Christ.

that they are ten demons

standing in between you
and the Altar of Sacrifice.

Their job is to keep you
from advancing to that Altar.

They don't want you to
be moved by the Spirit,

who is always trying to woo us
00:08:13.46\00:08:15.26
and to convince us
and convict us of sin.

That's right,
Christ dies on a cross

and His purpose is to draw us.

But the devil and his demons

or his demons are
standing in between

the cross and us,
kind of linebackers,

if you will, trying to
stop you from advancing

in the Path of Salvation.

So let's say by the grace
of God that you're watching

all that needs to be done?

who don't
understand the blueprint,

do some people think and teach

that once you
confess your sins, that's it.

Right, they'll say,
hey, all you need to do

is confess with
your mouth and believe

with your heart and that's it.

There is
nothing else to be done.

But as you are studying
the blueprint you can go,

that there is more
to the plan of salvation

you're truly converted

is to make that public
declaration through baptism.

And that's
really all baptism is,

it's saying to the
world that I am forsaking

the old ways and
the sins of the past.

And I'm gonna allow
God to order my steps

and cleanse me of,
all of the known sins

that I have in my life,

and it's just a
public declaration.

verses 3 through 6,

Him seeking spiritual council,

Nicodemus is really doing.

So what do we see here?

to confess with your mouth

some people may be thinking

the thief on the cross.

from the cross guaranteed

But God meets us where we are

plan to leave us there.

So, yes, some people
may make it only to confess

in Christ with their mouths

to get to that second step

because who knows they died or,

but the genuine Christian

demons trying to stop you

through by the grace of God.

demons trying to stop you

from being baptized.

Trying to stop you
from making it public

that you are going
to serve Jesus Christ.

So as your
experience in following

the blueprint
increases and goes deeper,

so do the demons, that's right.

Because he never wants you
to progress to the next step.

I think baptism, why that works.

Don't listen, don't
follow the devil's directions.
