Spirit fell on

Jesus promised his disciples.

shall receive power,

after that the Holy

supernatural influence

began to fan out

gospel, the good news

from this manifestation

feat of taking the
gospel to the entire

you see the Holy
Spirit is the power that

is driving this movement

of the Christian

Christianity exploded in the

first century because of power,

spiritual
power, and the power of

the Holy Spirit.
Now, this is what we want

to focus on. As you go on in

the book of
Acts, you discover that

there is a
counter power that fights

against the
advancing power of the gospel

and the Holy
Spirit and that is the

power of sorcery,
the power of magic,

the power of the
occult. And that's what we

wanna take a look
at. So, let's take a

look at Acts, chapter
8. Many Christians haven't

imagine that those that are

involved in
witchcraft haven't seen this

dabbling in that arena,

What was he practicing? Sorcery,

bewitched the people of Samaria,

giving out that he himself was

He was observing this

phenomenon of
spiritual power coming to

the people that
were receiving Christ

and so he offered them money.

He said, here's some money,

promote power as the
