It really is. > Isn't it? >> Uh hmm. >>> It teaches us so 00:00:35.69\00:00:37.41 much. > And... and... and when we can put this... that's why we 00:00:37.42\00:00:40.79 call the program, Bible Alive. >> Uh hmm > We make the Bible 00:00:40.80\00:00:43.00 come alive, by making it practical because these messages 00:00:43.03\00:00:47.15 that started five, six thousand years ago, whenever, a long time 00:00:47.18\00:00:50.48 ago, thousands, from the Old Testament, to after Christ's 00:00:50.51\00:00:54.49 death, just a little bit after that, >> Uh hmm. > it's 00:00:54.52\00:00:57.75 practical for us. >> That's right. > You know, and the Bible 00:00:57.78\00:01:00.81 just comes alive. It... it means something for you and I. So, 00:01:00.84\00:01:03.91 anyways, we're gonna get started. Before we do, let's 00:01:03.94\00:01:06.40 have a Word of prayer. >> Uh hmm. > Pastor Mark, would you 00:01:06.43\00:01:10.29 have prayer for us today? >> Sure, Let's pray. Heavenly 00:01:10.32\00:01:12.68 Father, we just thank you that you have given us Your Word 00:01:12.71\00:01:16.03 > Hmm. >> and You've given us the Holy Spirit > Amen. >> to 00:01:16.06\00:01:18.89 give us understanding. Amen. > Amen. >>> Amen. > OK, Daniel. Daniel 00:01:34.39\00:01:41.59 what? >>> Daniel 2. > Daniel Chapter 2. If you don't have 00:01:41.62\00:01:45.63 your Bibles, go get them. Let's open the Word together. Daniel 00:01:45.66\00:01:48.97 Chapter 2 and Pastor, let's... I'll let you start. Where would 00:01:49.00\00:01:52.68 you like to start on this? >> Well, actually, I'm thinking 00:01:52.71\00:01:56.30 of a text in John. I'll reference our viewers to it. 00:01:56.33\00:01:58.45 We're in Daniel 2 > OK. >> and we'll stay there and that's in 00:01:58.48\00:02:02.71 our Remnants, if they are using a Remnant Study Bible, we have 00:02:02.74\00:02:05.66 it on page... we're gonna be starting on page 1007, in Daniel 00:02:05.69\00:02:10.79 Chapter 2 > OK. >> but we're looking at a prophecy, that is 00:02:10.82\00:02:14.66 one of the most powerful and simple prophecies in all the 00:02:14.69\00:02:18.05 Bible and some people may ask why and our viewers may ask why, 00:02:18.08\00:02:22.18 you know, we are gonna look at this and why study prophecy 00:02:22.21\00:02:23.89 at all. In John 13:19, Jesus says, that I tell you... He told 00:02:23.92\00:02:28.31 His disciples, "I tell you these things before they happen and 00:02:28.34\00:02:30.93 before they come to past, so that when they do come to pass, 00:02:30.96\00:02:33.52 you'll know that I am He. > Uh hmm. >> Says something very 00:02:33.55\00:02:35.77 similar in John 14:29 and what God is saying there is, what the 00:02:35.80\00:02:40.23 Lord is saying there is, that prophecy is one of the things 00:02:40.26\00:02:43.31 that God's given > That's right. >> to give us confidence in His 00:02:43.34\00:02:46.47 Word because people ask me all the time, "Well, how am I 00:02:46.50\00:02:49.55 supposed to trust the Bible when it was written by a bunch of 00:02:49.58\00:02:52.93 men?" and while it's true that God used human beings to write 00:02:52.96\00:02:56.42 it, one of the reasons God has prophecy in the Bible, is, when 00:02:56.45\00:03:00.71 you see things predicted, hundreds and thousands of years 00:03:00.74\00:03:04.89 before they happened and they happened just like the Bible 00:03:04.92\00:03:07.87 said >>> Exactly >> that gives us >>> in precision that they 00:03:07.90\00:03:10.46 was predicted they would > Right. >>> happen > That's 00:03:10.49\00:03:11.95 right. >>> and they happen. >> Exactly, that gives us 00:03:11.98\00:03:14.23 confidence that may be men wrote the Bible but no man can 00:03:14.26\00:03:17.76 foretell the future like God > Yeah. >>> Absolutely. 00:03:17.79\00:03:19.19 >> there has to be Divine >>> Absolutely >> and so that's 00:03:19.22\00:03:21.14 what they're looking at, in Daniel 2 actually, is a... is a 00:03:21.17\00:03:23.48 prophecy just like that. There's a lot to Daniel 2, it's a great 00:03:23.51\00:03:28.15 chapter, I would encourage readers to spend some time 00:03:28.18\00:03:31.35 reading through it. We don't have time to get through every 00:03:31.38\00:03:33.79 aspect of Daniel 2 > We just couldn't make it >> but just a 00:03:33.82\00:03:36.28 little background here, in Daniel Chapter 2 > OK. >> Daniel 00:03:36.31\00:03:38.83 was a Hebrew captive. > Yes. >> He was taken from his 00:03:38.86\00:03:42.39 homeland in Jerusalem and he was taken into the land of Babylon 00:03:42.42\00:03:46.32 > Uh huh >> like King Nebuchadnezzar, his armies and 00:03:46.35\00:03:49.48 in Daniel Chapter 2, what happens is, the King has a dream 00:03:49.51\00:03:53.62 that he can't remember and it really unsettles him. He 00:03:53.65\00:03:57.48 remembers enough about his dream to know, it got him all 00:03:57.51\00:04:00.29 unsettled but he couldn't remember what it was and he had 00:04:00.32\00:04:03.05 > The particulars. >> Yeah, the particulars and he had these 00:04:03.08\00:04:05.10 wise men on his staff, that he paid to explain to him these 00:04:05.13\00:04:09.42 kinds of things and typically when he had a dream, he'll 00:04:09.45\00:04:12.13 remember the dream and he'll call the wise men in and say, 00:04:12.16\00:04:14.12 "Hey, tell me what it means. " > What this means. >>> And he 00:04:14.15\00:04:16.64 would tell them, he would tell them what the dream was 00:04:16.67\00:04:18.86 >> Exactly. >>> and they would tell him what it meant. 00:04:18.89\00:04:21.22 >> That's right and... and, you know, anybody can really come up 00:04:21.25\00:04:24.50 with a meaning to something, which evidently was what they 00:04:24.53\00:04:27.82 were doing because in this case he didn't remember the dream. No 00:04:27.85\00:04:30.44 problem, he figured, "I'll call my wise men in and this time 00:04:30.47\00:04:32.80 I'll tell them, since you guys have this connection with the 00:04:32.83\00:04:35.09 gods, you can tell me not only what the dream means but you 00:04:35.12\00:04:37.94 can tell me what the dream was. " > Yeah. >> Well, they... 00:04:37.97\00:04:39.70 they started hedging on it and he said, you know, he began to 00:04:39.73\00:04:43.12 get suspicious, to the point where finally he said, "you guys 00:04:43.15\00:04:45.33 are just trying to buy time. You don't know" >>> Absolutely, 00:04:45.36\00:04:47.61 yeah. >> the dream, do you?" and so, you > In other words, 00:04:47.64\00:04:49.39 you don't have a real connection with these gods? >> Yeah. > You 00:04:49.42\00:04:51.60 have said and it's almost like, "Oh, oh, they got... they got 00:04:51.63\00:04:55.06 their hands caught in the cookie jar. " I mean, >> That's 00:04:55.09\00:04:56.41 right. > Now, they're caught because like you said before, 00:04:56.44\00:04:58.68 they just interpreted the dream, as he said it. I mean, you and I 00:04:58.71\00:05:01.94 could come up with >> That's right > and we could call 00:05:01.97\00:05:03.44 ourselves wise men and say, "Oh, O King, this is what it means" 00:05:03.47\00:05:06.57 >> That's right. > but now, they have to tell what the dream was. 00:05:06.60\00:05:08.74 >> That's right, so he basically sends... makes a decree to begin 00:05:08.77\00:05:12.67 killing all the wise men. Daniel, if you read in Daniel, 00:05:12.70\00:05:16.38 Chapter 1, it tells about how he came to be classed among the 00:05:16.41\00:05:18.83 wise men > Yeah >> and the word comes to Daniel and somebody 00:05:18.86\00:05:23.63 comes knocking on his door in the middle of the night and 00:05:23.66\00:05:25.58 basically says, "OK guys, come on. We're rounding you up for 00:05:25.61\00:05:28.11 execution. " But you can only imagine, Daniel respond by 00:05:28.14\00:05:31.64 saying, "What... what's going on? Why is the King's decree so 00:05:31.67\00:05:33.82 hasty?" And they fill him in and Daniel says, "You go back 00:05:33.85\00:05:36.90 and you tell the King. We'll bring him, the dream and its 00:05:36.93\00:05:40.32 interpretation," You know, "if you give us some time" and then 00:05:40.35\00:05:43.50 as the messenger goes, he and his friends prayed to the God of 00:05:43.53\00:05:47.33 Heaven > Amen. >> and God gives Daniel the dream, that he gave 00:05:47.36\00:05:51.58 Nebuchadnezzar and the interpretation and so, and again 00:05:51.61\00:05:55.63 we're just reviewing this. We are gonna jump into the... the 00:05:55.66\00:05:58.41 Bible, in just a moment. So, when Daniel goes before the 00:05:58.44\00:06:00.73 King and he tells him the dream, he basically says, 00:06:00.76\00:06:02.74 "Nebuchadnezzar, this is what you dreamed. You dreamed of this 00:06:02.77\00:06:05.76 great metal image. It was made up of different metals. It's 00:06:05.79\00:06:09.68 head was made up of gold, it's chest and arms were made up of 00:06:09.71\00:06:12.56 silver, its belly and thighs were made up of bronze, it's 00:06:12.59\00:06:15.21 legs were made of iron and its feet were made of iron and clay 00:06:15.24\00:06:17.99 and while you were watching this image, a stone came out, cut out 00:06:18.02\00:06:21.47 without hands and it smashed the image on the feet, the image 00:06:21.50\00:06:24.68 burst into pieces and blew away. " All the pieces of it 00:06:24.71\00:06:28.42 blew away and then he gives the interpretation and what's 00:06:28.45\00:06:32.18 interesting is, you know, so far, we are talking about this, 00:06:32.21\00:06:35.85 this is interesting. It's ancient, ancient, ancient 00:06:35.88\00:06:38.12 history but what we're gonna see is, this dream was a dream that 00:06:38.15\00:06:41.89 God revealed to that King, Nebuchadnezzar and to Daniel 00:06:41.92\00:06:45.37 and to you and me about what would happen from that day all 00:06:45.40\00:06:48.28 the way down to the coming of Jesus and we picked that up, as 00:06:48.31\00:06:51.09 we look at the story. >>> Pastor, don't you believe 00:06:51.12\00:06:53.31 though that, Nebuchadnezzar at least knew enough about the 00:06:53.34\00:06:57.50 dream, to know that yes, that's what I dreamed, you know, 00:06:57.53\00:07:01.02 because >> Oh, absolutely. >>> Daniel, you... like you... 00:07:01.05\00:07:02.85 you said, he... he forgot what he dreamed but I don't think 00:07:02.88\00:07:05.34 he... he had to have some idea or else Daniel could... could 00:07:05.37\00:07:09.34 have just made up a story. >> Absolutely. >>> So he knew, 00:07:09.37\00:07:11.69 he knew part of what he was... he... he... maybe not every the 00:07:11.72\00:07:15.83 detail >> Well, it's like one of those times when you... when 00:07:15.86\00:07:18.04 you, something is foggy, if you and a friend were at some event 00:07:18.07\00:07:22.52 together and you >>> Right. >> don't remember the details 00:07:22.55\00:07:24.23 and your friend says, "No, no, no, you remember Rudy... you... 00:07:24.26\00:07:26.86 you... this guy, he did this" and you're like, "Oh yeah, oh 00:07:26.89\00:07:29.01 yeah" and it comes to mind. >>> So he knew that was the 00:07:29.02\00:07:31.44 dream that he dreamed. >> Yeah, >>> That's my >> he was >>> my 00:07:31.45\00:07:33.41 point. >> convinced. >>> That... that... >> Absolutely. 00:07:33.42\00:07:35.16 >>> Right. >> You... you see that... that the King was... was 00:07:35.19\00:07:37.90 definitely, when Daniel came up with... with what the dream was, 00:07:37.93\00:07:41.22 the King knew right away >>> That... >> that was exactly 00:07:41.25\00:07:43.20 >>> That is... >> what I dreamed >>> exactly what I 00:07:43.23\00:07:44.27 dreamed. Yeah. >> and can you imagine the hair on the back of 00:07:44.30\00:07:46.15 his neck was standing up and everything else to imagine, 00:07:46.18\00:07:48.12 "well this guy knows what I dreamed. " >>> That's right. 00:07:48.15\00:07:50.68 >> You know, after he lost confidence in his own wise men. 00:07:50.71\00:07:53.04 >>> But... but would give him confidence in the 00:07:53.07\00:07:55.68 interpretation before he ever gave it because >> That's right. 00:07:55.71\00:07:58.81 >>> if you can't tell me this, you get that right, I'm sure 00:07:58.84\00:08:01.58 that the interpretation would be right. >> Absolutely and so in 00:08:01.61\00:08:05.21 verse 36, Daniel says, 00:08:05.24\00:08:06.84 Verse 37. 00:08:10.82\00:08:12.22 >>> So he's... > Right >>> he's feeling pretty good right now. 00:08:28.75\00:08:30.52 >> Oh yeah. >>> That's right. >> Yeah, until the next verse. 00:08:30.55\00:08:32.94 >>> So, I like it so far, Daniel. Verse 39 says, 00:08:32.97\00:08:35.73 In period here, so when... when Daniel looks and this image that 00:08:39.55\00:08:42.67 he saw and the head of gold and he says, "You Nebuchadnezzar, 00:08:42.70\00:08:45.34 are the head of gold. " We know when he comes to verse 39, he 00:08:45.37\00:08:48.54 says, "after you shall rise another Kingdom. " That, the 00:08:48.57\00:08:51.63 head of gold, was not just Nebuchadnezzar > Right. >> but 00:08:51.66\00:08:54.22 his Kingdom, the Kingdom of Babylon. Just hear what these 00:12:05.09\00:12:07.93 enthusiastic Bible Students have to say about the Pentel 00:12:07.96\00:12:11.13 pencil. >>>> I love using the Pentel pencil with my 00:12:11.16\00:12:13.95 Remnant Study Bible but I also love using it for my 00:12:13.98\00:12:17.52 school work and as I study and I highlight the things I 00:12:17.55\00:12:21.27 need to remember but if there is a special word that I 00:12:21.30\00:12:24.11 need, I go back and I change the color, highlight 00:12:24.14\00:12:27.37 it and it's sure to pop off the page. >>>> For me, the 00:12:27.40\00:12:31.55 pencil comes in handy when I am studying my Sabbath 00:12:31.58\00:12:33.37 School lesson. This week's lesson is about faithfulness. 00:12:33.40\00:12:35.90 As I am studying I use the pencil to highlight things 00:12:35.93\00:12:38.81 that I want to share on Sabbath. Another simple 00:12:38.84\00:12:42.01 and practical way to use my pencil is here at home. It 00:12:42.04\00:12:45.66 helps me to prioritize things on my To-Do list. The 00:12:45.69\00:12:48.71 things that have to be done right away I underline in 00:12:48.74\00:12:50.93 red and I use blue for things that can wait until later. 00:12:50.96\00:12:53.98 >>>> As a Minister I have found the Pentel marking 00:12:54.01\00:12:56.63 pen to be a great help to me in my Ministry in both 00:12:56.66\00:13:00.49 preparation of sermons and Bible studying materials but 00:13:00.52\00:13:03.73 also in the delivery of those messages. Let me explain to 00:13:03.76\00:13:07.35 you real quick. When I'm studying I'll come across a 00:13:07.38\00:13:10.07 word that I'd like to highlight to pull my mind to 00:13:10.10\00:13:13.56 later on and I'll use a color like red if I am dealing with 00:13:13.59\00:13:16.48 salvation and I'll mark that word. So then, when I am 00:13:16.51\00:13:20.45 studying that passage with someone in their home or 00:13:20.48\00:13:23.11 I'm preaching from the Pulpit it will help to remind 00:13:23.14\00:13:25.90 you, I need to focus on that word which triggers my 00:13:25.93\00:13:28.93 mind to remember the things I've studied on that. I 00:13:28.96\00:13:31.82 think you'll find it a help too in your Bible studies or 00:13:31.85\00:13:34.81 as the Pastor ask you to preach from time to time. 00:13:34.84\00:13:37.11 >>>> To order your Pentel pencil and start enhancing 00:13:37.44\00:13:40.14 your Bible study experience, call Remnant Publications 00:13:40.17\00:13:43.43 at 00:13:43.46\00:13:44.43 or visit our website at 00:13:47.89\00:13:49.66 Make the most of your time in the Word, with the Pentel 00:13:51.74\00:13:55.15 pencil. 00:13:55.18\00:13:56.15 >>>> Hey, I'm Larry and today we want to give you 00:13:56.64\00:13:58.97 an inside look at what happens at Remnant 00:13:59.00\00:14:00.92 Publications. There's a lot of 00:14:07.47\00:14:10.73 books at Remnant and whenever an order comes in 00:14:10.76\00:14:12.77 Steve carefully gathers them all together. He keeps 00:14:12.80\00:14:16.75 the books very organized so he can find them quickly 00:14:16.78\00:14:19.14 and he really enjoys what he does. For him it's not 00:14:19.86\00:14:22.16 just a job, it's a ministry. After the books have been 00:14:22.19\00:14:25.59 weighed, they are boxed up and shipped out right away. 00:14:25.62\00:14:28.50 Now this is really exciting! You're looking at over 500 00:14:29.82\00:14:33.10 boxes filled with Spirit of Prophecy books. Steve is 00:14:33.13\00:14:36.25 taking them to the mail truck where they will be 00:14:36.28\00:14:38.41 shipped out to places all around the World. Some 00:14:38.44\00:14:42.50 days, the Remnant staff spends time stuffing 00:14:42.53\00:14:44.79 envelopes, today they are stuffing over 8,000 of them. 00:14:44.82\00:14:48.17 Most of the employees of Remnant say they feel like 00:14:49.07\00:14:51.06 they are working with a family and not just another 00:14:51.09\00:14:53.74 company. Bible Alive and we're 00:15:06.58\00:15:09.56 talking about Daniel. Daniel, Chapter 2, especially and we 00:15:09.59\00:15:16.09 ended, Pastor Mark, which... which we kind of, I... I just 00:15:16.12\00:15:20.32 think it's neat. In Chapter 2, verse 45 >> Uh hmm. > I love the 00:15:20.35\00:15:26.77 ending of verse 45. "The dream is certain and its 00:15:26.80\00:15:29.81 interpretation is sure. " Now, >> That's right. > what we need 00:15:29.84\00:15:32.71 to do, for the last half that we've got, OK, what was certain 00:15:32.74\00:15:37.19 and what interpretation was sure. How do we know and what 00:15:37.22\00:15:41.82 took place? I think that's >> Yeah. > where we need to go. 00:15:41.85\00:15:43.74 >> Well, as I mentioned, the Book of Daniel was written, 00:15:43.77\00:15:46.15 according to the Bible, in 600 B.C. There are people that argue 00:15:46.18\00:15:49.16 that > Yeah. >> but Jesus himself in Matthew 24, warned 00:15:49.19\00:15:53.33 about the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel 00:15:53.36\00:15:56.12 the prophet. > Yeah. >> In other words, some... there are some... 00:15:56.15\00:15:59.20 even Christians call us today, who question whether Daniel 00:15:59.23\00:16:01.31 wrote the Book of Daniel. Jesus didn't question it, Jesus 00:16:01.34\00:16:04.27 believed Daniel > That's right. >> was written by Daniel. 00:16:04.30\00:16:05.60 > Yeah. >> but... but we have verifiable archaeological 00:16:05.63\00:16:08.81 evidence, with the Dead Sea Scrolls of the Book of Daniel, 00:16:08.84\00:16:11.08 no later than 200 B.C. > Right. >> It was in existence there and 00:16:11.11\00:16:14.81 yet what we find is, that this prophecy carries us well 00:16:14.84\00:16:17.91 beyond that. > Yeah. >> I mean, it's just beyond question. "The 00:16:17.94\00:16:20.11 dream is certain and the interpretation is sure. " The 00:16:20.14\00:16:21.81 Lord says, "Go ahead and fight against it if you want but 00:16:21.84\00:16:24.31 you'll be wrong. " > Well, you know... >> I mean, it's just 00:16:24.34\00:16:26.42 that clear. > The... the... the... when they found those 00:16:26.45\00:16:28.85 Dead Sea Scrolls, obviously, they... they knew that those 00:16:28.88\00:16:32.76 scrolls were written before Christ >> Yeah. > and the Roman 00:16:32.79\00:16:36.41 Empire was during the time of Christ >> That's right. > you 00:16:36.44\00:16:40.13 know, it never fell until 476 A.D. so, >> That's right. 00:16:40.16\00:16:42.78 > the... the point is, is it... there's no way you can get 00:16:42.81\00:16:46.09 around >> No. > this right here. >> No. what's happening here, is 00:16:46.12\00:16:49.73 basically, if we look at what we have just read, we are 00:16:49.76\00:16:52.18 starting with the Kingdom of Babylon, we talked about even 00:16:52.21\00:16:55.03 in the prophecy, there were gonna rule over the whole Earth, 00:16:55.06\00:16:57.06 these are > Yeah. >> world empires, which makes them easier 00:16:57.09\00:16:59.36 to spot. From Babylon, it says, "There was going to come 00:16:59.39\00:17:01.93 another kingdom and then a third kingdom and then a fourth 00:17:01.96\00:17:05.11 kingdom. " And then the fourth kingdom would be broken into 00:17:05.14\00:17:07.99 pieces. So, all we have to do is, go back, we've got the first 00:17:08.02\00:17:11.63 kingdom, it's Nebuchadnezzar, Babylon, that first kingdom, 00:17:11.66\00:17:14.03 that world Empire which Babylon was, according to history 00:17:14.06\00:17:16.17 > Because he said, he... his head was the head of gold, 00:17:16.20\00:17:17.91 >> Right. > which was Babylon. >> So... > OK. >> who... who... 00:17:17.94\00:17:19.76 what world Empire, according to the history books, conquered 00:17:19.79\00:17:23.02 Babylon? You remember your history? >>> Persia. >> It was 00:17:23.05\00:17:27.70 the Persian Empire. > Yeah. >> Sometimes Media or Persia. 00:17:27.73\00:17:29.57 The Bible calls the Medes and the Persians and then, you know, 00:17:29.60\00:17:32.19 some history books have just said Persian, because it was a 00:17:32.22\00:17:34.42 larger part of the Empire, so you get > Right. >> the Persian 00:17:34.45\00:17:35.91 Empire. Who conquered the Persians? >>> Greece. > Greece. 00:17:35.94\00:17:39.23 >> The Greeks. So, we've got... the Babylon and then there's the 00:17:39.26\00:17:41.29 second Kingdom, that was the Persian Empire. You get the 00:17:41.32\00:17:43.46 third kingdom, that was the Greek empire. Who conquered 00:17:43.49\00:17:45.73 Greece? >>> Rome. >> Rome. >>> And... and once again, you 00:17:45.76\00:17:48.36 can check this out, you... you obviously need the Bible for 00:17:48.39\00:17:52.60 your >> That's right. >>> Spiritual being but you can 00:17:52.63\00:17:54.33 do with that in any library >> That's right. >>> Just 00:17:54.36\00:17:57.01 looking at history. >> Any history book will tell you 00:17:57.04\00:17:59.02 > That's right. >> that sequence, Babylon, Media, 00:17:59.05\00:18:00.80 Persia, Greece, Rome. The important question is, who 00:18:00.83\00:18:02.93 conquered Rome? You go to the history books, you'll find that 00:18:02.96\00:18:06.00 nobody conquered Rome. Rome was divided and interestingly enough 00:18:06.03\00:18:09.55 Rome was initially divided up into 10 parts. >>> Just like the 00:18:09.58\00:18:12.98 10 toes. >> Just like the 10 toes > That's right. >> that we 00:18:13.01\00:18:15.29 see and... and those... those... that... those divisions became 00:18:15.32\00:18:19.73 the modern nations of Europe and so we've got the... the... 00:18:19.76\00:18:23.75 the divisions so far, mapping right out, second kingdom, third 00:18:23.78\00:18:26.90 kingdom, fourth kingdom, Babylon, Media, Persia, Greece, 00:18:26.93\00:18:28.96 Rome, then we come to the fourth kingdom, divided up, into 10 00:18:28.99\00:18:33.01 parts. Then it says, "They were going to try to cleave 00:18:33.04\00:18:34.94 together. " They were going to try to unite and come back 00:18:34.97\00:18:37.09 together but they wouldn't mix. >>> And hist... >> Just like... 00:18:37.12\00:18:39.68 >>> history tells us that too. There was >> That's right. 00:18:39.71\00:18:41.94 >>> people throughout history, even... even some not that 00:18:41.97\00:18:45.07 far back >> That's right. >>> that tried to make it 00:18:45.10\00:18:48.14 united, either through marriages, through war >> Yep. 00:18:48.17\00:18:51.86 >>> or through other means, to unite the kingdoms but it never 00:18:51.89\00:18:55.24 happened and to Christians, that shouldn't be a surprise, should 00:18:55.27\00:18:59.42 it? >> Not at all because it's written, in fact > Right. 00:18:59.45\00:19:01.42 it's interesting, there was inter-marrying that came up 00:19:01.45\00:19:04.03 >>> Yeah. >> There were people like Napoleon, people like 00:19:04.06\00:19:06.67 >>> Yeah. >> like Kaiser Wilhelm, people like Adolph 00:19:06.70\00:19:09.60 Hitler >>> Hitler. >> and... and >>> Yeah. >> others that could 00:19:09.63\00:19:11.58 be listed and mentioned, Charlemagne and > Yeah. 00:19:11.61\00:19:14.21 >> Charles V of Spain and you have this big long list of 00:19:14.24\00:19:17.84 people who tried to make a one world, dominating power again 00:19:17.87\00:19:23.03 in Europe from where those 10 toes, where those... those 00:19:23.06\00:19:26.74 divisions, those dividing Kings. > Right. >> The interesting 00:19:26.77\00:19:28.43 ...I'll tell you, an interesting point is, that Rome was the last 00:19:28.46\00:19:31.44 of those world empires, it was ruled by the Caesars. When you 00:19:31.47\00:19:35.76 come to Germany, as they were trying to gain dominion, their 00:19:35.79\00:19:38.82 rulers were called the Kaisers. You know what a Kaiser > Yeah. 00:19:38.85\00:19:41.43 >> is? >> It's German for Caesar and then you come to 00:19:41.46\00:19:44.51 Russia, you have the Czars. You know what Czar is? Caesar and 00:19:44.54\00:19:48.57 so even their titles, > Yeah. >> like there was this desire, 00:19:48.60\00:19:50.89 just like the Bible says, for them to regain that dominion 00:19:50.92\00:19:53.52 and yet they... it... nobody was able to do it, they failed. Even 00:19:53.55\00:19:57.65 to the point where I know stories, I know a story of a man 00:19:57.68\00:20:00.25 was a soldier but he was a Christian, he was a soldier in 00:20:00.28\00:20:03.58 Hitler's army, in World War II and ended up having a Bible 00:20:03.61\00:20:08.24 study with some of his Commanders and told them, you 00:20:08.27\00:20:11.17 know, my conviction is, "There's no way that Europe can win this 00:20:11.20\00:20:13.17 war. " "Why?" "Because, the prophecy in the Bible. " And his 00:20:13.20\00:20:15.59 Commanding Officer actually accepted that and believed that 00:20:15.62\00:20:20.39 and actually held fuel rations back, for when the war... war 00:20:20.42\00:20:24.26 would end because he said, "Wow! You 00:20:42.37\00:20:46.33 know, well and I've shared this before with people and I talk 00:20:46.36\00:20:48.91 about the... the... the last world Empire, the dominating 00:20:48.94\00:20:52.78 empire. You know, people think, "Who is it gonna be? Is it gonna 00:20:52.81\00:20:54.88 be Russia? Is it gonna be China?" Well, according to this 00:20:54.91\00:20:57.18 prophecy, the last world Empire is gonna be that coming Kingdom 00:20:57.21\00:21:01.28 of Jesus. " I said, "What would happen if I can 00:22:44.40\00:22:45.88 show you a prophecy in the Bible, that foretold the future 00:22:45.91\00:22:50.14 of human history and it happened just like the Bible said?" He 00:22:50.17\00:22:52.54 said, "Oh, you couldn't. " I said, "But what if I could?" He 00:22:52.57\00:22:55.69 said, "Oh, you couldn't. " I said, "Well, how would you like 00:22:55.72\00:22:58.14 to sit down. " I said, "I think I could. There is a prophecy. " 00:22:58.17\00:23:00.27 He said, "Oh, you couldn't. " He didn't even wanna go there. 00:23:00.30\00:23:02.26 > Yeah. >> Never did give the opportunity. I'll tell you, this 00:23:02.29\00:23:05.17 prophecy, in Daniel, is plain enough for a child to see it 00:23:05.20\00:23:08.38 >>> Amen. >> and yes, I would refer people to this prophecy 00:23:08.41\00:23:11.20 because it... it... like I said, you can take a history book, a 00:23:11.23\00:23:14.77 secular history book and confirm the Words of Scripture and see 00:23:14.80\00:23:18.75 that this foretold, in great detail, things that were to come 00:23:18.78\00:23:23.36 to pass and they happen just like the Bible said. > You know, 00:23:23.39\00:23:25.52 I want to put a little plug in. You know, I've... I've been 00:23:25.55\00:23:30.71 sitting and listening and really, I mean, there's... 00:23:30.74\00:23:35.33 there's other reasons that this was put in the Scriptures too 00:23:35.36\00:23:38.84 >> Uh hmm. > but I do believe that this was a very 00:23:38.87\00:23:41.28 important one. That this... this, this prophecy came through 00:23:41.29\00:23:46.07 to the letter >> That's exactly it. > and when... it does 00:23:46.08\00:23:49.01 and if people would just check it out in their history books. 00:23:49.02\00:23:51.68 It... it... it... you don't have to... what you're doing in your 00:23:51.71\00:23:55.16 history books is saying, "Wow! The Bibles said this, it's in 00:23:55.19\00:23:58.32 the history books, it's true. " I mean, there has to be a power 00:23:58.35\00:24:01.90 outside of me, outside of science, that can come up with 00:24:01.93\00:24:06.66 this prophecy because that's proven >> Uh hmm > and I'm just 00:24:06.69\00:24:09.83 thinking, you know the book that we have today, I... I just have 00:24:09.86\00:24:13.41 to say it and if... if you have not read it, you need to get it. 00:24:13.44\00:24:15.87 I've read this book, I don't know how many times >> Uh hmm. 00:24:15.90\00:24:19.31 > I know you know what I'm going to say. >> I know exactly 00:24:19.34\00:24:20.95 what you're going to say. It's the book called, "The Great 00:24:20.98\00:24:22.18 Controversy" and... and... and the subtitle is, "Between Christ 00:24:22.21\00:24:26.05 and Satan" >> Uh hmm. > "The Great Controversy-Between Christ 00:24:26.08\00:24:27.76 and Satan" and that's what this whole Bible is about. It all 00:24:27.79\00:24:30.88 goes through... it's about the controversy between Christ and 00:24:30.91\00:24:33.20 Satan but this Book, The Great Controversy, that I've read so 00:24:33.23\00:24:36.47 many times and I'm... I'm sure many of you have read it, if not 00:24:36.50\00:24:38.69 get that book. It gives prophecies about the end of time 00:24:38.72\00:24:43.01 >> That's right. > and when you read them and it takes 00:24:43.04\00:24:45.50 place, there'll be no question in your mind. It's true and I 00:24:45.53\00:24:48.79 love it, again, I have to say it. We would be saying, every 00:24:48.82\00:24:51.83 one that... that reads this, what happens, you would be 00:24:51.86\00:24:54.17 saying, if you don't read it beforehand, "The dream is 00:24:54.20\00:24:56.22 certain and its interpretation is true. " It gives us a 00:24:56.25\00:25:00.96 foundation >> Absolutely. > to trust in this Word of God. I 00:25:00.99\00:25:04.73 mean, if you can... if you can go through this many years, 00:25:04.76\00:25:08.59 >> Yeah. > I mean, there's a lot of years between Babylon and 00:25:08.62\00:25:12.96 Rome >> Yeah. > or... or even >> Well, think about this 00:25:12.99\00:25:15.05 > to the 10 toes >> in a practical sense. Say, I take 00:25:15.08\00:25:16.85 take a young couple and I say, "You know what, you guys are 00:25:16.88\00:25:18.56 gonna... your wife," tell the young man, "Your wife's gonna 00:25:18.59\00:25:20.95 get pregnant, she's gonna have a son and that son is gonna have 00:25:20.98\00:25:23.20 dark hair. When he's 12 years old, he is gonna excel all over 00:25:23.23\00:25:26.08 his classmates in... in swimming > Yeah. >> and when he turns 18 00:25:26.11\00:25:29.99 years old, he's gonna... when he turns 16 years old, is going to 00:25:30.02\00:25:32.71 enter college early. He's going to graduate with honors. When 00:25:32.74\00:25:35.82 he turns 25 years old, he's gonna win the Nobel Peace 00:25:35.85\00:25:37.95 Prize. " If all those things happen, the whole world will be 00:25:37.98\00:25:40.94 following me around. >>> That's right. >> "How this guy knows 00:25:40.97\00:25:42.76 everything?" And that's over a span of one person's life. > If 00:25:42.79\00:25:46.20 I know. >> When you look at this, I mean, the... the rise 00:25:46.23\00:25:49.21 and fall of kingdoms over the thousand year period, it's 00:25:49.24\00:25:51.79 absolutely phenomenal. > Yeah. >> Why would you not believe? 00:25:51.82\00:25:54.78 >>> And... and to prove that, you know, we didn't really read 00:25:54.81\00:25:57.21 that but verse 46. You know, what was the King's response to 00:25:57.24\00:26:02.79 this? >> Hmm. >>> I mean, I... I just like, it says, 00:26:02.82\00:26:05.16 First of all, how often do you think the King was accustom to 00:26:12.88\00:26:16.49 falling on his face in front of a slave? >> That's right, that's 00:26:16.52\00:26:19.33 right. >>> I mean, I don't think that happened every day. 00:26:19.36\00:26:20.94 I don't think that he did that every day and they believed in 00:26:20.97\00:26:24.81 "The "God's," not the >> That's right. >>> God of Heaven and 00:26:24.84\00:26:27.11 he's commanding a burnt offering to honor >> That's right. 00:26:27.14\00:26:31.19 >>> the God of Heaven and that's how surprising the King, the 00:26:31.22\00:26:35.18 Golden King was, >> That's right. > Yeah, that's true. 00:26:35.21\00:26:37.13 >>> the head of gold and I don't think he got surprised by much 00:26:37.16\00:26:40.18 but... but this reaction >> Yes. >>> is absolutely 00:26:40.21\00:26:43.93 uncanny.
