hard for people to understand
in of itself. How could he be

adds, "and yet without sin. "

just like we're tempted and then

that anybody who's tempted

of temptation, do you remember?

points of temptation and I think

we need to go there and look
at that in the Book of Matthew.

are millions of temptations but

seem like a stretch but as we

discuss this a little more,
we're going to see that every

falls into one of the categories

of the flesh, lust of the eyes

and the pride of life and so and

going to go to Matthew 4,

things to clear up, when we read

lust or we think the word lust,
a lot of times, we think about

you know, sexual temptation,
that kind of thing but the word

is... literally means desire
and so it's the desires of the

flesh, that means bodily
desires. That doesn't only have

to do with urges for sex which
is included there but also for

hunger, for thirst, bodily
desires for sleep which in and

of themselves aren't all
wrong but that's where those

temptations will pull at us.
Temptations of the body > Yes.

>> lust of the flesh. >

eyes or desires of the eyes,
those are things that draw us

out in covetousness or draw
us out to... to want things that

lead us to, you know, disobeying
God and then there is the... the

pride of life. Those are the
things that appeal to our... our

reputation and... and you know,
our... our ambition and those

kinds of temptations and so

temptation of Jesus and we have
some discussion. I mean, we can

discuss > Well, and too... I was

whole being for anyone whether
man or woman, it's really to

me, based upon the three things
too. It's... it's body, mind or

devil... the devil knows how to

whole being. That's what Christ

with crack cocaine necessarily

video games but there's a point
that summarize that video games,

there's a category that it

that temptation was every bit as

powerful as any we've ever

Matthew 4, verse 1, says,

temptation and his response.

So man, you can take millions of

thousands of temptations.

a person... the person who
struggles from a drug addiction,

now, I don't have a drug
addiction and so I may not

relate to that but I may have an
addiction in another area of the

flesh. The root is the same
>> Yes. >> and so when a person

struggles under a lust to the
flesh that may not be the exact

same temptation but the draw
at... at... at the human being

to sin, is the same pole.
It's the same pole they're

experiencing when Jesus went
40 days without food and it was

that draw at his hunger, it was
the same root level temptation.

that the very first temptation

of... of Adam and Eve, physical.

wasn't, "turn these stones

thing was that physical part.
