Jew to talk to a Samaritan

but for a Jew to ask a Samaritan
to do a favor for them was even

a bigger deal and for a
Jewish man to ask a woman

unthinkable, I would think.

time in Christ's whole Ministry

by that he wasn't seeking how to

reach somebody
with that living water.

think that you need to help us
Samaritans out. We're not good

enough, we can't do this,
we can't... " He knew that that

would be the response.

So he puts himself in the
inferior position and asks a

favor and that arrested
her attention and even then the

response is kind of like what do
you- you know, she didn't even-

you know, "Well, sure I can give
you some water. " It's- it's all

of a sudden a debate but
he- he grabs her attention.

I love that because again, the

living water cuts across
everything, there's no prejudice

whatsoever. He uses that and
if he would use any part of food

maybe she would've said, "Well,
we don't eat that food," we call

that unclean or whatever. But
water - there was no question

and- and like you said, he
put himself in the inferior

position. Verse 11, it says,

her, I would have said, Well,
