Jesus in Verse 4. OK. The Bible
says, Jesus says- you know she

Now, there's a lot we could say
about that. First and foremost,

I think when people read that,
the language of it puts people

it almost sounds very rude.

"Woman, what are you
telling me this for?" you know.

" You know, "Woman" It's

not really the kind of way
you would That would fly. I

with saying 'woman' like that to

my wife and she's pretty
good about that stuff. But yet,

in this case, it wasn't
a derogatory remark. No, it

sounds that way to us but

read this in Greek and
understand the culture and the

to - the verbiage there, Jesus

respectfully to his Mother.

keep in mind that Jesus said in

"I have kept my father's

commandments. " In other
words, He didn't break the

commandment that
says, "Honor your Father and

Mother" here when he was
dealing with his Mother. He

was always respectful.
So sometimes we read things

and to us it may appear
one way, but Jesus was being

very respectful to his
Mother here. That's why we need

to really study and get in
there, and if you could hold

just go to John Chapter 19 very

quickly, just to give you
a You know, that's why the

Bible says here a little,
there a little, line upon line,

other words, you can't just

your mountain out of it. Right

so many different religions

it's about when Jesus was on the

In other words, he even on the
cross, he was looking out for

his Mother. That's right. And
so that was certainly not a- I

mean, he was very respectful
when he said that. That's right.

Now another important point
is, though he was respectful,

it's very clear here that
Mary didn't dictate to Jesus his

Ministry. Yes he was
respectful but he knew he was

called by his Father.
You know, like when he was

found in the temple.
He told his Parents Right

respectfully, "Didn't
you know I would be about my

Father's business?" Business
he wanted to establish in

their minds that as much
as he had love and respect for

them, he had a higher
calling and I think- I think

that's another tremendous
point. There's so many

points and I can see it's
such a small - you know, it's

Mary herself had to subject

authority and the Father's
authority. Absolutely. That's-

tremendous because there are

that hold Mary almost equal

and she was not equal with

a righteous woman, very

any other follower of God.
