There's eight. 00:00:37.79\00:00:40.07 So we're going to work on three today. 00:00:40.10\00:00:42.18 We want to keep that in prayer. 00:00:42.21\00:00:43.18 But before we start that, I want to introduce to you - 00:00:43.19\00:00:47.05 you should know him by now, Danny Vierra. 00:00:47.08\00:00:49.02 Danny, great to have you here again today. 00:00:49.05\00:00:51.36 Glad to be back, Dwight. 00:00:51.39\00:00:52.40 Okay, we're going to get right into water, right? 00:00:52.43\00:00:59.51 Yes. 00:00:59.54\00:01:00.51 That's the NEWSTART. 00:01:00.52\00:01:02.10 We started a nutrition exercise. 00:01:02.13\00:01:04.04 But we'll get with water then after water, 00:01:04.07\00:01:07.12 we're going to go with sunshine and then temperance. 00:01:07.15\00:01:09.41 That's what we're going to work on today. 00:01:09.44\00:01:11.35 You might want to get a pencil and paper out. 00:01:11.38\00:01:15.21 It's nice to write some of these things down, isn't it? 00:01:15.24\00:01:18.10 So get your pencil and paper out. 00:01:18.13\00:01:19.50 Before we start though, I know you have a text. 00:01:19.53\00:01:22.70 Always have your Bibles 00:01:22.73\00:01:24.88 because we'll always use the Bible as our backup. 00:01:24.91\00:01:27.88 What's the text? 00:01:27.91\00:01:29.97 Well, I'm going to say a little prayer 00:01:30.00\00:01:31.31 then I'm going to read this text to the people. 00:01:31.34\00:01:32.94 What's the text? 00:01:32.97\00:01:33.94 This is going to be in Deuteronomy 7:11. 00:01:33.95\00:01:39.57 Okay, let's have a prayer first. 00:01:39.60\00:01:40.95 Father, again we thank you for your Word 00:01:40.98\00:01:44.01 and an opportunity to share these health laws 00:01:44.04\00:01:47.92 with our viewing audience. 00:01:47.95\00:01:49.78 May you bless us today with your Holy Spirit 00:01:49.81\00:01:51.85 in Jesus name, Amen. 00:01:51.88\00:01:53.93 Okay, so Deuteronomy 7:11 says 00:01:53.96\00:01:59.88 I'd like to just say in the beginning here 00:02:06.96\00:02:09.21 that God has His eight commandments of health. 00:02:09.24\00:02:12.07 Let's say it that way. 00:02:12.10\00:02:13.61 This specifically in Deuteronomy 7 00:02:13.64\00:02:16.03 is talking about health. 00:02:16.06\00:02:17.50 And so He says, "If you listen to these commandments," 00:02:17.53\00:02:19.96 it says on verse 13 00:02:19.99\00:02:21.43 Verse 14 says 00:02:26.30\00:02:27.42 Then 15 says 00:02:30.49\00:02:31.70 Even in Deuteronomy 8:1 it says 00:02:41.30\00:02:43.12 God is trying to lead His people into the Promised Land today. 00:02:52.11\00:02:55.04 I believe he has a remnant - good word - 00:02:55.07\00:02:57.65 A remnant group that He is elite. 00:02:57.68\00:03:01.43 God is trying to teach us health principles. 00:03:01.46\00:03:04.91 I wanted to just touch on a couple of little things 00:03:04.94\00:03:07.45 on nutrition and exercise before we move to water. 00:03:07.48\00:03:09.99 Before you do that, for those who are viewing, listen. 00:03:10.02\00:03:12.91 God has an elite, He has a remnant. 00:03:12.94\00:03:15.24 That remnant is not that you're better than somebody else. 00:03:15.27\00:03:19.41 God forbid because we aren't. 00:03:19.44\00:03:21.28 God loves us all the same. 00:03:21.31\00:03:22.72 He has unending love for each one of us. 00:03:22.75\00:03:24.99 But He wants a people that will surrender their total hearts. 00:03:25.02\00:03:29.77 He calls it His elite, He's a remnant. 00:03:29.80\00:03:32.37 It says on Revelation 00:03:32.40\00:03:34.13 that they will follow Him wherever He goes with no gile 00:03:34.16\00:03:37.33 which in the Greek it means to catch with a hook. 00:03:37.36\00:03:39.13 In other words, they don't try to say one thing. 00:03:39.16\00:03:41.89 They're not political, they're not superficial. 00:03:41.92\00:03:43.72 He has those folks. 00:03:43.75\00:03:46.20 They loved soul so much, they have a burden for souls 00:03:46.23\00:03:49.99 that they want their clear minds. 00:03:50.02\00:03:51.34 They want these things and that's the elite. 00:03:51.37\00:03:53.64 It said, "You can be that elite person". 00:03:53.67\00:03:56.18 It's not like you can't be because of your color, 00:03:56.21\00:03:59.43 because you're too old or you're too young, 00:03:59.46\00:04:01.74 you're too tall or you're too short. 00:04:01.77\00:04:03.64 It has nothing to do with it, does it, Danny? 00:04:03.67\00:04:05.94 Right. No, it doesn't. 00:04:05.97\00:04:07.00 It's something that if you'll surrender everything you have, 00:04:07.03\00:04:09.00 He's calling us right now. 00:04:09.03\00:04:10.42 The world's coming to a close 00:04:10.45\00:04:11.91 and we need to be ready and surrender. 00:04:11.94\00:04:13.81 Then He has these people that will be able to show that gospel 00:04:13.84\00:04:16.62 in such a clear way 00:04:16.65\00:04:18.18 that even the simple so to speak will understand. 00:04:18.21\00:04:22.23 Exactly. It's a profound message that God will put 00:04:22.26\00:04:25.35 in the hearts of men and will be His instruments 00:04:25.38\00:04:28.03 that are going to finish the work of the gospel in the earth. 00:04:28.06\00:04:30.16 I'm excited. 00:04:30.19\00:04:31.16 I want to be one of those people too. 00:04:31.18\00:04:32.53 They're going to be healthy. 00:04:32.56\00:04:33.75 I believe they're going to be following health principles. 00:04:33.78\00:04:36.00 But what I wanted to say on nutrition today is that 00:04:36.03\00:04:38.60 I quoted McDougal and I quoted 00:04:38.63\00:04:40.70 this 25,000 Seventh Day Adventist story 00:04:40.73\00:04:43.96 and the World Health Organization. 00:04:43.99\00:04:45.41 Today you have some more information that's come out 00:04:45.44\00:04:48.98 with some leaders in the pioneers in the area of health. 00:04:49.01\00:04:52.51 One is Caldwell Esselstyn. 00:04:52.54\00:04:54.50 He's an MD from the Cleveland Clinic. 00:04:54.53\00:04:57.17 He took subjects - I believe it was like 12 people 00:04:57.20\00:05:00.46 who had coronary artery disease. 00:05:00.49\00:05:03.23 Here's the beauty of the whole plant-based diet. 00:05:03.26\00:05:06.68 He put him on it for a year or so. 00:05:06.71\00:05:08.38 He found within a year or two that you not only can prevent 00:05:08.41\00:05:14.35 coronary health disease and heart attacks 00:05:14.38\00:05:16.68 but it reverses coronary artery disease. 00:05:16.71\00:05:21.85 He had x-rays and it showed a collapsed artery, 00:05:21.88\00:05:25.34 the blood flow was blocked, 00:05:25.37\00:05:27.21 and with the same person he took x-rays a year later. 00:05:27.24\00:05:31.06 It was opened up, the blood was flowing perfectly. 00:05:31.09\00:05:33.98 I said, "Man, that's a great study". 00:05:34.01\00:05:35.92 It proved that a high saturated fat, 00:05:35.95\00:05:41.24 cholesterol laid in diet of animal foods blocked arteries. 00:05:41.27\00:05:45.50 But the plant-based diet that God gave in Eden, 00:05:45.53\00:05:48.32 the plant-based diet that Daniel chose 00:05:48.35\00:05:51.74 reversed advanced arterial sclerosis. 00:05:51.77\00:05:54.93 Of course the Bible says they were fearfully... 00:05:54.96\00:05:57.05 And wonderfully made. 00:05:57.08\00:05:58.67 So God has made or bodies even after 6,000 years of sin, 00:05:58.70\00:06:02.97 according to the scriptures that He's made our bodies 00:06:03.00\00:06:05.96 so wonderfully and so fearfully made 00:06:05.99\00:06:07.80 that if we follow God's diet 00:06:07.83\00:06:10.31 because with my testimony I didn't to begin with. 00:06:10.34\00:06:12.89 I'm 54 years old, I have so much energy. 00:06:12.92\00:06:19.08 People ask me, "How do you have so much energy?" 00:06:19.11\00:06:21.74 You must be wired for 440 or 240, not 110. 00:06:21.77\00:06:25.28 It's because God has given me that energy. 00:06:25.31\00:06:27.58 I know some people have more energy than others. 00:06:27.61\00:06:29.91 But it's amazing that if you trust in God, 00:06:29.94\00:06:32.71 He can actually reverse these problems. 00:06:32.74\00:06:35.82 Okay, so nutrition we just gave a little bit on. 00:06:35.85\00:06:38.41 Exercise is hugely important. 00:06:38.44\00:06:40.39 I tell people all the time, if you would just eat 00:06:40.42\00:06:43.11 the whole plant-based diet 00:06:43.14\00:06:44.42 and get on a good daily exercise program, 00:06:44.45\00:06:47.21 you would see a number of your symptoms evaporate. 00:06:47.24\00:06:49.88 Exercise - walking, if that's all you can do but we always... 00:06:49.91\00:06:54.19 I always say aerobic and anaerobic. 00:06:54.22\00:06:57.36 BellaVita, our lifestyle center, I have them walking 00:06:57.39\00:07:02.34 anywhere from one to four miles a day. 00:07:02.37\00:07:04.57 They come back and they spend about 30 to 40 minutes 00:07:04.60\00:07:08.70 on the weight machines. 00:07:08.73\00:07:10.24 I teach them that you can isolate each muscle. 00:07:10.27\00:07:13.41 It builds bone density. 00:07:13.44\00:07:15.16 I like the combination of the two. 00:07:15.19\00:07:18.14 So then we start off and I just went and wrote 00:07:18.17\00:07:22.03 this little blog on Facebook. 00:07:22.06\00:07:23.89 I put, "Start out the morning with 32 ounces of warm water 00:07:23.92\00:07:27.88 with the juice of one lemon. 00:07:27.91\00:07:29.81 I talked about that. 00:07:29.84\00:07:31.47 I said a lemon a day may keep the doctor away. 00:07:31.50\00:07:33.72 Somewhat like the apple. 00:07:33.75\00:07:35.24 But I just put that on there. 00:07:35.27\00:07:37.42 I want to tell people water is so important. 00:07:37.45\00:07:40.11 That's the liquid that God gave us to keep us healthy. 00:07:40.14\00:07:45.31 That's the third. 00:07:45.34\00:07:47.77 That's what we're talking about - it's water. 00:07:47.80\00:07:49.59 NEW. 00:07:49.62\00:07:51.57 We're 70% water, our brains are 85% water. 00:07:51.60\00:07:55.15 Water transports nutrients. 00:07:55.18\00:07:57.22 Water takes away waste. 00:07:57.25\00:07:58.98 Water is very important 00:07:59.01\00:08:00.31 for intracellular and extracellular fluid 00:08:00.34\00:08:03.43 in getting the nutrients to cellular levels. 00:08:03.46\00:08:05.94 If we don't get enough water we're not going to feel great 00:08:05.97\00:08:10.49 and we're going to get symptoms. 00:08:10.52\00:08:12.35 I like the book Dr. Batmanghelidj wrote 00:08:12.38\00:08:15.49 called the Body's Many Cries for Water. 00:08:15.52\00:08:17.53 People think that thirst is the symptom 00:08:17.56\00:08:21.26 that you experience to drink water. 00:08:21.29\00:08:24.02 He says that's near dehydration. 00:08:24.05\00:08:26.81 So you can have backache, you can have joint pain. 00:08:26.84\00:08:30.49 You can have indigestion, you can have a lack of energy. 00:08:30.52\00:08:33.93 Water is critical for good health. 00:08:33.96\00:08:37.34 Water - from my understanding, I know you know this 00:08:37.37\00:08:41.56 isn't it good for cleansing? 00:08:41.59\00:08:42.88 Absolutely. 00:08:42.91\00:08:44.60 They've proven that even with grease, 00:08:44.63\00:08:48.47 something about water is... 00:08:48.50\00:08:50.65 It's a solvent. 00:08:50.68\00:08:52.03 It's one of the best cleansers out there. 00:08:52.06\00:08:53.67 Well, that's what I just put on Facebook. 00:08:53.70\00:08:55.01 I said the lemon and the water - 00:08:55.04\00:08:57.32 when you take it first thing in the morning very warm, 00:08:57.35\00:09:00.48 your sphincters are open, your cardiac, your pyloric. 00:09:00.51\00:09:03.53 The water will travel right to the large intestine. 00:09:03.56\00:09:06.59 Many times it alleviates the bowels for people. 00:09:06.62\00:09:09.35 The lemon's alkalinizing. 00:09:09.38\00:09:11.69 The lemon can purify and cleanse the urinary tract 00:09:11.72\00:09:15.47 like you're talking about. 00:09:15.50\00:09:16.90 It can also kick start the bowel 00:09:16.93\00:09:19.03 but it's very healing to the liver. 00:09:19.06\00:09:20.64 So I like at least a quart in the morning. 00:09:20.67\00:09:22.99 That works very well. 00:09:23.02\00:09:24.71 You already got three glasses of water in you 00:09:24.74\00:09:27.82 if you're figuring eight ounces. 00:09:27.85\00:09:29.44 With the audience, what realistically... 00:09:29.47\00:09:32.40 I mean, I know people have to grow. 00:09:32.43\00:09:33.84 I'm not doing this right now, I'll be the first to admit it. 00:09:33.87\00:09:37.34 I still drink a lot of water 00:09:37.37\00:09:39.66 but when I was working out more than I am right now. 00:09:39.69\00:09:42.89 I've started back in a nice routine. 00:09:42.92\00:09:45.42 I love working out. 00:09:45.45\00:09:46.43 But I was drinking about a gallon of water a day 00:09:46.46\00:09:48.73 which is probably more than maybe I need to. 00:09:48.76\00:09:50.64 What would be normal for people? 00:09:50.67\00:09:53.37 There are a lot of people that are not used to drinking water. 00:09:53.40\00:09:56.62 What would be good to start out? 00:09:56.65\00:09:57.82 I tell people 00:09:57.85\00:09:58.82 to try to shoot for six to eight glasses of water a day. 00:09:58.83\00:10:01.53 Eight ounces or 16 ounces? 00:10:01.56\00:10:03.84 Eight ounce glasses of water let's say or more. 00:10:03.87\00:10:06.56 But I tell people, 00:10:06.59\00:10:07.74 if you want to drink more than a gallon, go ahead. 00:10:07.77\00:10:09.79 There's no rule that you come and get too much 00:10:09.82\00:10:11.80 but it's necessary to get the minimum amount. 00:10:11.83\00:10:15.22 Now, if somebody weighs 98 pounds 00:10:15.25\00:10:18.34 while the person who weighs 250 pounds may need more fluid 00:10:18.37\00:10:22.03 because he's a larger person. 00:10:22.06\00:10:23.68 So water is critical for good health 00:10:23.71\00:10:25.78 as is nutrition, as is exercise. 00:10:25.81\00:10:28.51 These health commandments are linked together 00:10:28.54\00:10:30.67 just as God's moral law. 00:10:30.70\00:10:31.81 But we need to move on because sunshine's the next big one. 00:10:31.84\00:10:35.24 I love doing sunshine. 00:10:35.27\00:10:36.86 In fact, I have... 00:10:36.89\00:10:40.07 Danny, that's what you're here for. 00:10:40.10\00:10:41.72 Go. 00:10:41.75\00:10:43.30 All right, let me show you this. 00:10:49.44\00:10:51.36 Well, a lot of people think it tans. 00:10:51.39\00:10:53.40 Tanning, okay. 00:10:53.43\00:10:55.79 Obviously, we need sunshine for things to grow. 00:10:55.82\00:10:58.06 For things to grow, good. 00:10:58.09\00:10:59.74 If we had no sun, I doubt we would sustain life. 00:10:59.77\00:11:05.16 Right. 00:11:05.19\00:11:06.55 If we didn't have sunshine which with that brings in warmth, 00:11:06.58\00:11:09.15 everything would be freezing, we couldn't grow anything. 00:11:09.18\00:11:12.42 Well, typically in BellaVita when I ask that question, 00:11:12.45\00:11:15.13 I get Vitamin D and some of the answers you gave. 00:11:15.16\00:11:18.74 I said, "I'm going to give you four pages 00:11:18.77\00:11:20.61 on what sunshine does for the body. 00:11:20.64\00:11:22.36 It does everything from lowering blood sugar levels, 00:11:22.39\00:11:25.09 helping in depression, 00:11:25.12\00:11:26.32 helping lower blood pressure, helping asthmatics. 00:11:26.35\00:11:29.27 It's an incredible doctor that God has given us in the sky. 00:11:29.30\00:11:33.67 You think of the plants taking in photosynthesis 00:11:33.70\00:11:36.39 and then they produce. 00:11:36.42\00:11:37.67 We eat the green plants and we're getting chlorophyll 00:11:37.70\00:11:40.31 which is the healing power of the sun through the plant. 00:11:40.34\00:11:44.10 So the sun is incredible as a natural healer for the body. 00:11:44.13\00:11:49.60 It even increases the number of white blood cells 00:11:49.63\00:11:52.96 that improve or protect the body from disease. 00:11:52.99\00:11:56.74 This is why often people are more likely to get colds and flu 00:11:56.77\00:12:00.53 during the winter months instead of the summer months. 00:12:00.56\00:12:03.16 Like here in Michigan. 00:12:03.19\00:12:04.16 Yeah. 00:12:04.17\00:12:05.34 You get to live in California. 00:12:05.37\00:12:06.34 I did hear and it brought to my mind 00:12:06.35\00:12:09.37 that sunshine is certainly an aid for depression. 00:12:09.40\00:12:15.39 It might have changed now but I know that I had statistics 00:12:15.42\00:12:19.84 in the Seattle area in Washington. 00:12:19.87\00:12:22.20 In that area where it rains a lot, 00:12:22.23\00:12:23.91 there is more depression there because it's raining so much. 00:12:23.94\00:12:28.55 I was in that service in there and I kept thinking, 00:12:28.58\00:12:32.64 "Is there ever any sunshine?" 00:12:32.67\00:12:34.53 Sometimes there are beautiful days, we can see Mount Rainier 00:12:34.56\00:12:36.68 but obviously, sunshine does make people feel happy. 00:12:36.71\00:12:39.96 It definitely does. 00:12:39.99\00:12:41.71 One thing I want to say too, there's a big craze right now 00:12:41.74\00:12:44.21 in the vitamin industry that we need more Vitamin D. 00:12:44.24\00:12:46.96 In fact, some doctors are recommending temporarily 00:12:46.99\00:12:49.67 some people as many as 50,000 IUs a day. 00:12:49.70\00:12:52.64 Now, I supplement 5,000 IUs a day. 00:12:52.67\00:12:55.38 I actually had it checked. 00:12:55.41\00:12:56.88 I'm out in the sun a lot and I was still towards a lower level. 00:12:56.91\00:12:59.99 They're finding that we are not utilizing and absorbing 00:13:00.02\00:13:04.32 this necessary hormone like nutrient like we should 00:13:04.35\00:13:07.84 and it is very critical for the immune system. 00:13:07.87\00:13:10.76 It's not just for your bones and absorption of calcium. 00:13:10.79\00:13:13.76 But let me tell you something here about sunshine 00:13:13.79\00:13:16.37 that I also think is very incredible. 00:13:16.40\00:13:18.62 Sunlight increases the capacity of the blood 00:13:18.65\00:13:21.30 to carry more oxygen. 00:13:21.33\00:13:23.31 That's incredible. 00:13:23.34\00:13:24.54 Even a single exposure to ultraviolet light 00:13:24.57\00:13:27.30 will greatly increase the oxygen content of the blood. 00:13:27.33\00:13:30.62 Then another interesting one on physiology. 00:13:30.65\00:13:33.64 When the pineal gland, a small gland in the brain 00:13:33.67\00:13:36.52 receives light through the eyes, 00:13:36.55\00:13:38.11 it in turn benefits the pituitary gland. 00:13:38.14\00:13:41.18 The pituitary gland controls the hormone production 00:13:41.21\00:13:44.50 of other endocrine glands 00:13:44.53\00:13:46.14 such as the liver, the pancreas, the thyroid, the adrenal glands. 00:13:46.17\00:13:49.86 Thus, by allowing sunlight to enter the eye, 00:13:49.89\00:13:52.37 many of the body functions are stimulated. 00:13:52.40\00:13:54.69 I've gotten the habit not to just wear sunglasses 00:13:54.72\00:13:57.84 because it's cool. 00:13:57.87\00:13:58.97 I want some of that ultraviolet light getting in through my eyes 00:13:59.00\00:14:03.10 and the pineal gland affecting the pituitary 00:14:03.13\00:14:05.71 that's going to affect the endocrine system. 00:14:05.74\00:14:08.25 I see a lot of people that wear sunglasses, some for being cool. 00:14:08.28\00:14:14.78 But I think some of it, they say that it bothers them. 00:14:14.81\00:14:17.56 Why would that? 00:14:17.59\00:14:19.13 Apparently, there may be a health problem there. 00:14:19.16\00:14:21.49 We're not going to look right into the sun but - two things. 00:14:21.52\00:14:26.37 Why is that may be a problem? 00:14:26.40\00:14:28.74 How can people get rid of that? 00:14:28.77\00:14:30.26 How much sun would somebody need per day on an average? 00:14:30.29\00:14:34.68 I recommend that if somebody's going to do sunbathing, 00:14:34.71\00:14:38.17 30 minutes per side. 00:14:38.20\00:14:39.85 That's all you basically need. 00:14:39.88\00:14:42.05 Expose as much of your body as you can to the sun. 00:14:42.08\00:14:45.42 Wear short sleeves, wear some shorts 00:14:45.45\00:14:48.55 in the privacy of your backyard, do whatever you want. 00:14:48.58\00:14:52.05 But I think that people are so accustomed to sunglasses today 00:14:52.08\00:14:55.86 that they seem so sensitive to the light 00:14:55.89\00:14:58.87 because they're dependent on this. 00:14:58.90\00:15:00.80 I don't look directly in the light. 00:15:00.83\00:15:03.45 If I'm going to lay on the beach all day long 00:15:03.48\00:15:06.25 and that sun's beating at my face 00:15:06.28\00:15:07.69 then maybe I'll put something on to guard my eyes. 00:15:07.72\00:15:09.81 But I think it's very important. 00:15:09.84\00:15:11.38 Let me add a couple more things. 00:15:11.41\00:15:12.52 Sunlight relaxes the body, it calms the nerves, 00:15:12.55\00:15:15.90 and it increases adrenalin. 00:15:15.93\00:15:18.43 The relationship is not just mental, it's physical 00:15:18.46\00:15:21.73 and both gastric and even duodenal ulcer patients 00:15:21.76\00:15:25.18 have found to improve with beneficial effects of sunlight. 00:15:25.21\00:15:28.74 It has an electrifying influence 00:15:28.77\00:15:30.86 on the mind and the nervous system. 00:15:30.89\00:15:32.69 The sun also prevents and counteracts mental depression. 00:15:32.72\00:15:36.20 The nerves of the brain control the vital action 00:15:36.23\00:15:38.93 of every part of the body and are soothed by sunlight 00:15:38.96\00:15:41.50 having a calming effect on the nervous system. 00:15:41.53\00:15:44.25 So it helps diabetics. 00:15:44.28\00:15:45.85 It helps people with hypertension. 00:15:45.88\00:15:47.44 It helps people with stress and depression. 00:15:47.47\00:15:49.39 It helps people to build their immune function. 00:15:49.42\00:15:51.82 It helps people that are asthmatic and need respiration.
