did He have for them in Exodus?

that God had a preventative

always like to tell people,

wandering in the wilderness,

recorded case of illness.

And you know, I don't think God

didn't love the Egyptians,

but that, their life
style, worshiping Idols,

the way they ate, their whole
life style was not restoring

the image of God in man.
It was restoring the image of

sin. And here God was saying,

"Listen, you saw, you lived in
Egypt, for 400 something years,

you were there, you seen
what's happened, I want to take

you out of that, I want to give
you something better. " And then

obviously, in Chapter
16, we have the Manna.

So we know the story about the
water coming out of the rock.

So, what Paul is telling us here
is, if we can look to the past,

How God was leading miraculously
leading the Israelites

wilderness, that He gave them

water, He gave them
food, He gave them the Manna,

back here, in Exodus.

But there was murmuring
and there was lusting, now,

I did a study on this
once, Dwight, and I said,

"Murmuring and lusting. "
So I went back to Exodus 16

where you're going
and in verse 2 it says,

and the reference here,
is 1 Corinthians 10:10 and 11

Yeah.
00:08:19.69\00:08:20.66
So the Bible's telling us
they specifically murmured

and complained about the diet
that God provided from heaven.

And they lusted for
the fleshpots of Egypt.

Well yes, we go
back to 1 Corinthians 10,

one verse that you skipped is,
verse 9 of chapter 10 it says,

that we're tempted
and the Greek is test

So, I want to go back,
we can go back to the Manna,

But I want to make
sure, in this program,

were biting the Israelites,

this Manna, that rained from
heaven, and then sustained them.

And Manna was
considered what, Angel's food...

Angel's food from heaven.

And it was, this small round
thing it says here in Exodus 16,

So God would rain the Manna.

But they murmured and lusted
for the fleshpots of Egypt,

that I'll share real quickly,

appetite. So they are saying,

flesh. I mean look at it says,

they were complaining

cucumber, melon, leeks,

and onions and garlic?

Here's something I found.

Why weren't they dying
of a great plague in Egypt

when they were eating the flesh,
then? Why are they going to eat

flesh now when there's going
to be a great plague and they're

going to die of disease here?

Because in the
garlic, and the leeks, onions,

are natural antibiotics and
they were killing the bacteria

that was in the meat
is what I tell people.

but we got to get this physical

it's not that there is something

melon, like a watermelon,

or a musk melon or other melons.

But he was saying, Look at
it, Do you believe that I'm God?

to trust and obey.

minute. God doesn't want to give

the flesh. They want
it! And I find today,

that a flesh eating
diet, or a meat eating diet,

is a major cause of sickness
and disease in America today.

In 1988, the Surgeon General
at that time, C. Edward Coop,

published a report that
America's eating their way

to the grave, and of the
2.1 million people who died

each year, 1.5 are dying
from diet related diseases.

cholesterol in animal products,

Mad Cow disease, Tuberculosis,
Salmonella, E Coli,

Listeria. All these problems,

with the animal food today,
