00:14:46.41\00:14:48.48 The next thing God doing in Haiti... 00:14:48.52\00:14:51.09 In 2016, after big hurricane destroyed Haiti so bad, 00:14:51.12\00:14:56.06 and we went to Haiti on a mission trip to... 00:14:56.09\00:14:58.73 We partnering with organization called 00:14:58.76\00:15:00.90 Feed My Starving Children. 00:15:00.93\00:15:02.40 And they give us food 00:15:02.43\00:15:03.77 to distribute to the communities. 00:15:03.80\00:15:05.40 And we went there, while we were there, 00:15:05.43\00:15:07.70 a lady, a pregnant women 00:15:07.74\00:15:10.27 died right in front of our campus. 00:15:10.31\00:15:12.64 And with twins, she lied on the ground 00:15:12.67\00:15:15.78 and her stomach is still kicking, 00:15:15.81\00:15:17.61 they're waiting to let for the baby to die 00:15:17.65\00:15:21.05 before they can bury that woman. 00:15:21.08\00:15:22.72 Can you imagine. We felt so bad about it. 00:15:22.75\00:15:25.55 We realized that there are, you know, this is God's people, 00:15:25.59\00:15:28.22 there is no hospital in the area 00:15:28.26\00:15:29.89 where they can have C-section to open her womb 00:15:29.92\00:15:33.06 to save the lives of the babies. 00:15:33.09\00:15:35.20 And we felt that God said, 00:15:35.23\00:15:37.00 "This is why I placed you guys over here. 00:15:37.03\00:15:39.67 You need to build a medical center 00:15:39.70\00:15:42.10 where at least we can save lives of the people." 00:15:42.14\00:15:45.41 So this is where we are right now. 00:15:45.44\00:15:47.08 So can you imagine being in a place 00:15:47.11\00:15:49.21 where you have no health care for hours and hours 00:15:49.24\00:15:53.52 and hours of driving in traffic, 00:15:53.55\00:15:56.58 and then you hope that you can get care that 00:15:56.62\00:15:57.95 will take care of you. 00:15:57.99\00:15:59.32 And so you're doing something about that. 00:15:59.35\00:16:00.69 Tell us what are you doing? 00:16:00.72\00:16:02.06 Well, we came back in and we start fundraising. 00:16:02.09\00:16:04.96 We got some money from donation here, 00:16:04.99\00:16:06.73 individual donors, we started the building. 00:16:06.76\00:16:10.50 Right now we finished with the foundation. 00:16:10.53\00:16:12.73 And we are putting the wall up right now. 00:16:12.77\00:16:15.30 But it's designed by a group of students 00:16:15.34\00:16:17.51 from Andrews University. 00:16:17.54\00:16:18.87 And we thank God with a teacher from Michigan State University. 00:16:18.91\00:16:22.48 They came down to Haiti with us, 00:16:22.51\00:16:24.11 and they organized and everything to help us 00:16:24.15\00:16:26.21 get this building up. 00:16:26.25\00:16:27.58 So tell us what is the total price 00:16:27.62\00:16:29.52 for this hospital? 00:16:29.55\00:16:30.89 The total price estimated to be 800,000. 00:16:30.92\00:16:33.49 So when we hear the term, the number 800,000, 00:16:33.52\00:16:36.16 you think of a hospital, you think, well, 00:16:36.19\00:16:37.53 that's a drop in the bucket, 00:16:37.56\00:16:38.89 but you realize it's a clinic, but it's a hospital in Haiti. 00:16:38.93\00:16:40.93 For Haiti. 00:16:40.96\00:16:42.30 Because there's not access to that kind of medical system. 00:16:42.33\00:16:44.47 Now, how much do you have left to raise for this hospital? 00:16:44.50\00:16:47.50 We raised up close to, up to $300,000. 00:16:47.54\00:16:50.01 Okay. 00:16:50.04\00:16:51.37 So they've raised almost half of that money, 00:16:51.41\00:16:53.51 and we're praying, 00:16:53.54\00:16:54.88 and we're confident that God is going to work 00:16:54.91\00:16:57.51 to finish what He begins 00:16:57.55\00:16:58.88 because that's the kind of God we serve. 00:16:58.91\00:17:00.55 If you're in the medical field, 00:17:00.58\00:17:02.72 get in touch with this man and get involved. 00:17:02.75\00:17:06.12 They will also be needing to fitted out 00:17:06.15\00:17:07.62 with medical equipment. 00:17:07.66\00:17:08.99 So some of you may be able to help him 00:17:09.02\00:17:10.36 in that department as well. 00:17:10.39\00:17:11.73 Tell us a little bit about 00:17:11.76\00:17:13.09 how they can get in touch with you? 00:17:13.13\00:17:14.46 Well, we have our booth here at 263. 00:17:14.50\00:17:17.30 If you stop by our booth, you can get more information 00:17:17.33\00:17:19.77 about our work, what we're doing over there. 00:17:19.80\00:17:22.00 And we also have mission trip going to Haiti 00:17:22.04\00:17:24.21 at least two, three times a year. 00:17:24.24\00:17:25.97 If you wanna do something for the Lord, 00:17:26.01\00:17:27.88 it is right time, right now. 00:17:27.91\00:17:29.24 There is no time to waste. 00:17:29.28\00:17:30.61 We know that Jesus is coming soon. 00:17:30.65\00:17:32.05 Whatever we can do, let's do it right now, 00:17:32.08\00:17:34.75 so Jesus can come. 00:17:34.78\00:17:36.12 Amen. 00:17:36.15\00:17:37.49 Let's encourage this man 00:17:37.52\00:17:38.85 who's taking action for the people of Haiti. 00:17:38.89\00:17:40.66 Amen. And what was that about? 00:18:18.83\00:18:20.30 What did you come to me for? 00:18:20.33\00:18:22.10 Well, it began, actually in a prayer room 00:18:22.13\00:18:23.87 at General Conference session, I was impressed 00:18:23.90\00:18:25.53 that the refugees are coming 00:18:25.57\00:18:26.90 and somebody needs to do something about it. 00:18:26.94\00:18:28.44 Somebody needs to do something about it. 00:18:28.47\00:18:30.67 So he said, "Can you give me 10 minutes with the board?" 00:18:30.71\00:18:33.24 I said, "Sure." 00:18:33.27\00:18:34.61 After our board meeting, he presented the need. 00:18:34.64\00:18:36.81 He says, "I will make a significant donation, 00:18:36.85\00:18:39.25 contribution, 00:18:39.28\00:18:40.62 if you will do something 00:18:40.65\00:18:42.02 for the refugees fleeing Syria." 00:18:42.05\00:18:44.29 Amen. 00:18:44.32\00:18:45.65 That opened the door, an exploratory trip was done. 00:18:45.69\00:18:49.42 And we ended up in a place called Lesbos, Greece. 00:18:49.46\00:18:53.13 It was really amazing from that place. 00:18:53.16\00:18:55.76 You've seen the pictures four years ago of refugees 00:18:55.80\00:18:59.17 just pouring in on the beaches of the islands of Lesbos 00:18:59.20\00:19:02.80 and other Greek islands, and that's where we went to try 00:19:02.84\00:19:06.07 and meet these and help with medical needs 00:19:06.11\00:19:09.14 of these people and to really be the face of Jesus to them. 00:19:09.18\00:19:13.01 And I never forget when I went there. 00:19:13.05\00:19:16.48 I actually went there from LifeStyleTV 00:19:16.52\00:19:18.52 with a camera to document 00:19:18.55\00:19:19.92 some of what the volunteers were doing. 00:19:19.95\00:19:21.82 But as I'm standing there on the beach 00:19:21.86\00:19:24.23 with the camera interviewing one of the sweetest nurses 00:19:24.26\00:19:26.70 that was there, 00:19:26.73\00:19:28.06 and just seeing her in the middle of the interview, 00:19:28.10\00:19:30.10 just break down in tears and talk about the blue babies 00:19:30.13\00:19:34.14 he would pull out of the water dead 00:19:34.17\00:19:37.04 because they hadn't made that journey. 00:19:37.07\00:19:39.57 And yet, see, we talk about 00:19:39.61\00:19:40.94 the people that they had saved in the hospital 00:19:40.98\00:19:43.61 as the doctors that they were able to revive. 00:19:43.65\00:19:47.82 And you really felt that this was making a life 00:19:47.85\00:19:51.89 and death difference to people. 00:19:51.92\00:19:54.92 What have changed people's lives. 00:19:54.96\00:19:57.16 What happened was we ended up turning a bus 00:19:57.19\00:19:58.83 from Romania into a clinic and we appealed for volunteer, 00:19:58.86\00:20:02.96 medical volunteers to come. 00:20:03.00\00:20:05.27 And one of our volunteers that came is with us 00:20:05.30\00:20:08.47 Dr. Michael Von Horsten from South Africa, 00:20:08.50\00:20:11.21 and he has become our main physician 00:20:11.24\00:20:13.71 that has helped nurture 00:20:13.74\00:20:15.31 the work of Adventist Help forward. 00:20:15.34\00:20:17.08 Amen. 00:20:17.11\00:20:18.45 So tell us a little bit about what has happened 00:20:18.48\00:20:20.05 since the last time you were here at ASI? 00:20:20.08\00:20:22.08 Tell now, the project in Greece was completed? 00:20:22.12\00:20:24.72 You've moved on to Iraq. Tell us about Iraq? 00:20:24.75\00:20:26.96 Sure, we moved from Greece to Iraq. 00:20:26.99\00:20:31.26 We then partnered with ADRA Iraq 00:20:31.29\00:20:33.96 to start a new field hospital 00:20:34.00\00:20:36.00 right next to the city of Mosul. 00:20:36.03\00:20:38.43 So as many of you know, 00:20:38.47\00:20:39.80 that was the biblical city of Nineveh 00:20:39.83\00:20:42.04 and also the headquarters of ISIS. 00:20:42.07\00:20:45.21 And it was one of the most incredible experiences 00:20:45.24\00:20:47.74 of my medical career to actually be involved 00:20:47.78\00:20:50.45 in a process of setting up an Adventist field hospital 00:20:50.48\00:20:54.08 right in the middle of the 10/40 Window 00:20:54.12\00:20:56.42 probably as deep as it gets. 00:20:56.45\00:20:58.05 We partnered with ADRA. 00:20:58.09\00:20:59.42 And I can say again, 00:20:59.45\00:21:00.79 ADRA is an incredible organization. 00:21:00.82\00:21:03.02 It's been one of the greatest privileges 00:21:03.06\00:21:04.56 of our organization, 00:21:04.59\00:21:06.13 as Adventist Help to partner with a group so experienced 00:21:06.16\00:21:09.40 and so credible. 00:21:09.43\00:21:11.23 So that facility was able to treat 00:21:11.27\00:21:14.64 over 50,000 people. 00:21:14.67\00:21:16.94 And these are people that had fled 00:21:16.97\00:21:18.31 from the city of Mosul. 00:21:18.34\00:21:19.67 Many of them had experienced the most horrific atrocities. 00:21:19.71\00:21:23.14 And for us as Adventists to be able to reach out to them 00:21:23.18\00:21:25.65 was beautiful. 00:21:25.68\00:21:27.32 You heard that, that wasn't 5,000. 00:21:27.35\00:21:29.15 That was 50,000 people 00:21:29.18\00:21:32.05 in critical conditions being treated 00:21:32.09\00:21:35.22 through the work of ADRA and Adventist Help. 00:21:35.26\00:21:36.59 Amen. 00:21:36.62\00:21:37.96 Tell us a story about an experience 00:21:37.99\00:21:40.13 you had right there in Iraq? 00:21:40.16\00:21:41.50 Sure, I could tell you hundreds and just meeting the people 00:21:41.53\00:21:44.27 was, it changes your thinking. 00:21:44.30\00:21:46.97 I can think of one, I told us at the GC spring session, 00:21:47.00\00:21:50.31 a woman by the name of Fatimah. 00:21:50.34\00:21:52.07 She was about 35 years old. 00:21:52.11\00:21:54.64 She had a three-year-old baby. 00:21:54.68\00:21:56.75 She lived in the city of Mosul 00:21:56.78\00:21:58.18 in the Old City right in an area 00:21:58.21\00:22:00.55 with that ISIS occupation. 00:22:00.58\00:22:03.05 And her region of the city 00:22:03.08\00:22:04.85 was under siege for three to four months. 00:22:04.89\00:22:07.32 And they had no food to eat. 00:22:07.36\00:22:09.16 And she ended up having to feed her child 00:22:09.19\00:22:11.13 grass and cat meat. 00:22:11.16\00:22:13.23 Just imagine that. 00:22:13.26\00:22:15.43 And I remember her coming into our clinic. 00:22:15.46\00:22:17.60 She just arrived on the bus from the Old City. 00:22:17.63\00:22:21.34 And she brought in the skeleton of a child 00:22:21.37\00:22:24.34 in a semicomatose state. 00:22:24.37\00:22:26.78 And I remember the look in her eyes 00:22:26.81\00:22:29.24 was something I won't forget, 00:22:29.28\00:22:31.25 a look of utter despair and hopelessness. 00:22:31.28\00:22:34.45 And I was away for a few weeks after that, 00:22:34.48\00:22:37.75 I came back and I walked into the hospital 00:22:37.79\00:22:40.69 into the central courtyard. 00:22:40.72\00:22:42.79 And I saw this child playing in the courtyard. 00:22:42.82\00:22:46.46 And if any pediatricians in the audience, you'll know, 00:22:46.49\00:22:49.63 a child that's playing is a healthy child. 00:22:49.66\00:22:53.03 That's how that fattened up. 00:22:53.07\00:22:54.40 It was a happy kid 00:22:54.44\00:22:55.77 that was playing with a little toy car. 00:22:55.80\00:22:57.81 And the mother was working for ADRA, Adventist Held 00:22:57.84\00:23:01.21 as a cleaner and as a cook. 00:23:01.24\00:23:03.04 And I just remember her face. I can't forget it. 00:23:03.08\00:23:06.45 It was a face that expressed hope, 00:23:06.48\00:23:09.45 one that had dignity. 00:23:09.48\00:23:11.55 And that's what we're about. 00:23:11.59\00:23:13.25 We're about bringing people healing and giving them hope. 00:23:13.29\00:23:16.26 Amen. Amen. 00:23:16.29\00:23:17.63 Everyone deserves a chance at hope 00:23:17.66\00:23:19.53 and seeing that breathed 00:23:19.56\00:23:20.90 back into people is an amazing experience. 00:23:20.93\00:23:23.03 Claus, I think has a comment. 00:23:23.06\00:23:24.40 Well, I just wanna get onto, we went from Iraq, 00:23:24.43\00:23:26.87 and we are now in Africa and Uganda. 00:23:26.90\00:23:29.34 Tell us a little bit about 00:23:29.37\00:23:30.71 the update of what's happening 00:23:30.74\00:23:32.47 on the grounds in Uganda? 00:23:32.51\00:23:34.14 Sure, so we've... 00:23:34.18\00:23:35.54 The project in Iraq is completed. 00:23:35.58\00:23:37.75 And we've now moved to a new location, 00:23:37.78\00:23:41.08 one that is even got greater need. 00:23:41.12\00:23:44.09 And the country of Uganda is juxtaposed between 00:23:44.12\00:23:46.99 two war zones, South Sudan in the north, 00:23:47.02\00:23:50.03 and to the west lies the eastern regions 00:23:50.06\00:23:52.29 of the Democratic Republic of Congo. 00:23:52.33\00:23:55.60 And as many of you may know, 00:23:55.63\00:23:57.10 the eastern DRC is got some of the highest rates 00:23:57.13\00:24:00.24 of ethnic violence on the planet. 00:24:00.27\00:24:03.00 They dubbed the region, the rape capital of the world. 00:24:03.04\00:24:06.21 And basically militia groups, 00:24:06.24\00:24:08.61 many of them the same perpetrators 00:24:08.64\00:24:10.15 of the Rwanda genocide, move between villages, 00:24:10.18\00:24:13.72 just raping, murdering, and burning. 00:24:13.75\00:24:16.12 And that's how they operate. 00:24:16.15\00:24:17.62 And then you add to that 00:24:17.65\00:24:18.99 the additional burden of disease outbreaks. 00:24:19.02\00:24:21.22 They're facing the second biggest Ebola 00:24:21.26\00:24:23.36 outbreak in the history of the planet. 00:24:23.39\00:24:25.69 And it's an endemic malaria area, 00:24:25.73\00:24:27.40 and people have no access to health care. 00:24:27.43\00:24:30.10 And as a result, hundreds of thousands of people 00:24:30.13\00:24:32.23 are crossing the border into Uganda 00:24:32.27\00:24:34.47 to try find a place where they can be safe. 00:24:34.50\00:24:37.34 And that's where we located. 00:24:37.37\00:24:39.17 Our new project is a partnership 00:24:39.21\00:24:41.21 with ADRA once again. 00:24:41.24\00:24:42.58 We're really happy to be partnering 00:24:42.61\00:24:43.95 with ADRA Uganda 00:24:43.98\00:24:45.31 to build the first Adventist refugee hospital in the world. 00:24:45.35\00:24:48.98 It's going to be 00:24:49.02\00:24:50.35 in the Kyaka II Refugee Settlements 00:24:50.39\00:24:51.82 in Western Uganda, 00:24:51.85\00:24:53.19 quite close to the Congolese border. 00:24:53.22\00:24:55.22 And it's right at the main arrival points 00:24:55.26\00:24:57.36 for buses coming from the Congo. 00:24:57.39\00:24:59.73 And the people's stories, 00:24:59.76\00:25:01.26 they are even more horrific than Iraq, 00:25:01.30\00:25:03.16 most of the, 30% of people, 00:25:03.20\00:25:04.87 the women in our camp have been raped, 00:25:04.90\00:25:06.70 10% of the children have been raped, 00:25:06.74\00:25:08.70 and they've had no access to mental health 00:25:08.74\00:25:10.41 to women's health to pediatric care. 00:25:10.44\00:25:12.74 So that's our huge challenge we have ahead of us. 00:25:12.77\00:25:15.58 And we're looking forward to working with you all 00:25:15.61\00:25:17.51 on that project. 00:25:17.55\00:25:18.88 Just as we're closing, tell us a little bit 00:25:18.91\00:25:20.38 about the impact that Adventist Help has not just 00:25:20.42\00:25:24.12 on the immense need of the people you're serving, 00:25:24.15\00:25:27.22 but of the volunteers who go there. 00:25:27.26\00:25:29.76 Well, you know, that's part of the beauty 00:25:29.79\00:25:31.63 of it is that this man made an appeal. 00:25:31.66\00:25:36.00 We need to do something, come and help. 00:25:36.03\00:25:39.07 God bless his appeal and people responding. 00:25:39.10\00:25:42.07 When we're in Greece, Elder Ted Wilson heard 00:25:42.10\00:25:44.57 what we were doing with Adventist Help. 00:25:44.61\00:25:46.41 He says, "There are more refugees in Iraq 00:25:46.44\00:25:48.44 than there are in Greece." 00:25:48.48\00:25:50.18 Can someone come to Iraq and look at it and, you know, 00:25:50.21\00:25:52.25 nobody wanted to go to Iraq, 00:25:52.28\00:25:54.72 but to Iraq, God open the doors and we went. 00:25:54.75\00:25:57.52 Then the next appeal comes to go to Uganda. 00:25:57.55\00:26:00.56 Most of you are familiar 00:26:00.59\00:26:02.42 with a thing called ingathering. 00:26:02.46\00:26:04.09 Anybody remember ingathering from years gone by? 00:32:55.20\00:32:57.11 No, Debbie, we are not done here. 00:32:57.14\00:33:00.04 This project is just an amazing project. 00:33:00.08\00:33:02.28 Over the last several years, we developed the product. 00:33:02.31\00:33:05.38 And this last year we shipped it to the field. 00:33:05.41\00:33:08.28 It's been amazing to watch 7,500 picture rolls, 00:33:08.32\00:33:12.22 going around the world, 00:33:12.25\00:33:13.69 container loads of picture rolls 00:33:13.72\00:33:15.29 to different divisions of the world. 00:33:15.32\00:33:17.43 And now they're actually in use. 00:33:17.46\00:33:20.53 That is just a phenomenal. 00:33:20.56\00:33:22.50 And it's really nice to know that 00:33:22.53\00:33:23.87 they're actually being used. 00:33:23.90\00:33:25.30 For those who may be unfamiliar with them. 00:33:25.33\00:33:27.64 Tell us exactly what they contain these rolls? 00:33:27.67\00:33:31.11 So you can see before you, there are two set... 00:33:31.14\00:33:34.78 There are two rolls in each set. 00:33:34.81\00:33:37.05 And each roll contains about 100 and something pictures, 00:33:37.08\00:33:42.95 about 104 or 105 pictures, 00:33:42.98\00:33:45.49 where they can see for instance, 00:33:45.52\00:33:47.06 the stoning of Stephen, 00:33:47.09\00:33:48.72 or they can see just visual images 00:33:48.76\00:33:52.43 that help them to connect with the gospel 00:33:52.46\00:33:54.63 and represent this, 00:33:54.66\00:33:56.00 and these are being used, the fall here. 00:33:56.03\00:33:58.63 Just amazing graphic images of the story of salvation 00:33:58.67\00:34:03.51 and they're being used in places 00:34:03.54\00:34:05.11 where people don't have access to these kinds of resources. 00:34:05.14\00:34:08.84 And so it's really helpful for them 00:34:08.88\00:34:11.11 to be able to see something, not just hear about it. 00:34:11.15\00:34:14.18 I wanna talk to Rodney for just a minute. 00:34:14.22\00:34:16.25 Rodney, you had been involved in this project 00:34:16.28\00:34:19.05 for a number of years now. 00:34:19.09\00:34:20.86 You help to get these things around the world. 00:34:20.89\00:34:24.19 Tell us, were there any logistical challenges 00:34:24.23\00:34:27.43 in getting these picture rolls shipped around the world? 00:34:27.46\00:34:30.57 As you can imagine, there was. 00:34:30.60\00:34:33.10 Especially, we were trying 00:34:33.13\00:34:34.80 to get them into Southeast Asia, 00:34:34.84\00:34:36.74 and we had quite a bit of challenge 00:34:36.77\00:34:39.14 because it was one of the largest shipments 00:34:39.17\00:34:42.04 of religious material ever to go into Cambodia. 00:34:42.08\00:34:46.31 And so we had a lot of challenges with this department 00:34:46.35\00:34:49.65 and that department and customs, 00:34:49.68\00:34:51.55 and it was definitely a matter of prayer. 00:34:51.59\00:34:54.72 But God answered our prayer. 00:34:54.76\00:34:56.09 And just a few weeks ago, 00:34:56.12\00:34:57.59 they finally were distributed there in Cambodia. 00:34:57.63\00:35:01.66 So the largest shipment of religious material 00:35:01.70\00:35:04.67 ever allowed into the country of Cambodia 00:35:04.70\00:35:07.54 is an ASI project of picture rolls. 00:35:07.57\00:35:09.70 Praise God. Amen. 00:35:09.74\00:35:11.07 Amen. 00:35:11.11\00:35:12.44 Now, Rodney, your involvement in this does not stop there. 00:35:12.47\00:35:16.31 I understand that you took a mission trip this year 00:35:16.34\00:35:19.21 and you went to certain place in the world 00:35:19.25\00:35:21.75 and used the picture roll, tell us about that? 00:35:21.78\00:35:24.12 Definitely, my wife and I had the opportunity to go 00:35:24.15\00:35:27.16 on a TMI project to Ethiopia. 00:35:27.19\00:35:30.23 And we had the opportunity 00:35:30.26\00:35:31.69 to put the picture rolls into use. 00:35:31.73\00:35:34.60 We were preaching at a couple of churches 00:35:34.63\00:35:36.67 and we went to one area 00:35:36.70\00:35:38.73 where they did not have any electricity. 00:35:38.77\00:35:40.87 Well, they had electricity for microphones, 00:35:40.90\00:35:43.10 but not enough for a projector or laptop or anything. 00:35:43.14\00:35:46.11 So these picture rolls were incredibly powerful, 00:35:46.14\00:35:49.38 not just for the preaching, 00:35:49.41\00:35:51.01 but my wife also used them for the children's programs. 00:35:51.05\00:35:54.12 Amen. So they're a dual purpose tool. 00:35:54.15\00:35:58.25 Thank you, Rodney, for sharing with us. 00:35:58.29\00:35:59.92 I wanna talk to Craig a little bit. 00:35:59.95\00:36:01.29 Craig, your day job is not 00:36:01.32\00:36:03.73 in the United States of America. 00:36:03.76\00:36:05.19 Where do you work? In Zambia in Southern Africa. 00:36:05.23\00:36:08.73 So Craig is the director there, 00:36:08.76\00:36:10.93 the president for Riverside Farms. 00:36:10.97\00:36:13.80 Now, Craig, we managed to get a shipment 00:36:13.84\00:36:16.30 of these into Riverside Farms for distribution there. 00:36:16.34\00:36:19.37 Tell us what did you do with these things anyway? 00:36:19.41\00:36:20.88 Sure. 00:36:20.91\00:36:22.24 Just a couple months ago, 00:36:22.28\00:36:23.61 we got over 600 picture rolls arrive. 00:36:23.65\00:36:25.71 And what we've been doing is putting them 00:36:25.75\00:36:27.48 in the hands of Bible workers 00:36:27.52\00:36:29.28 who are planting churches in areas 00:36:29.32\00:36:30.99 where there's no power. 00:36:31.02\00:36:32.35 And so if you imagine this today, 00:36:32.39\00:36:34.62 130 of these are on the back of bicycles, 00:36:34.66\00:36:37.63 and on the backs of people walking to places 00:36:37.66\00:36:40.66 that have nothing, they would come with a Bible, 00:36:40.70\00:36:43.26 no audio visual, nothing, no materials. 00:36:43.30\00:36:47.04 Instead, they're coming with picture rolls, 00:36:47.07\00:36:48.64 and they're praising Jesus for it. 00:36:48.67\00:36:50.27 And the rest will be out by the end of the year, 00:36:50.31\00:36:51.91 and we're excited to see that, but it's a drop in the bucket. 00:36:51.94\00:36:54.74 There are literally thousands of churches in Zambia alone 00:36:54.78\00:37:00.02 that don't have power and have zero materials. 00:37:00.05\00:37:02.45 These are a huge benefit. 00:37:02.48\00:37:04.59 People were so so excited to be using these. 00:37:04.62\00:37:08.26 I see a picture on the screen here 00:37:08.29\00:37:09.62 where you're equipping 00:37:09.66\00:37:10.99 your frontline missionaries there, 00:37:11.03\00:37:12.36 and you're giving them. 00:37:12.39\00:37:13.73 These are the boxes, and in these containers, 00:37:13.76\00:37:16.30 these boxes that 00:37:16.33\00:37:17.67 they're holding our picture rolls, 00:37:17.70\00:37:19.33 and they're getting ready to go to the frontlines 00:37:19.37\00:37:22.14 and use those. 00:37:22.17\00:37:23.51 Now you said something interesting, Craig, 00:37:23.54\00:37:25.01 you said in Zambia alone, there are what? 00:37:25.04\00:37:27.91 There are thousands of churches 00:37:27.94\00:37:29.44 without power and without resources, 00:37:29.48\00:37:32.21 that if these were there, 00:37:32.25\00:37:33.58 they would be the only visual materials 00:37:33.62\00:37:35.08 for them to use. 00:37:35.12\00:37:36.79 Thousands of churches in one country alone. 00:37:36.82\00:37:40.12 The need across the world is staggering for this. 00:37:40.16\00:37:43.02 We've been getting feedback 00:37:43.06\00:37:44.39 and reports from different parts of the world 00:37:44.43\00:37:46.63 where these have been started to be used. 00:37:46.66\00:37:49.36 And it's amazing that demand is going up 00:37:49.40\00:37:52.27 exponentially you might say. 00:37:52.30\00:37:55.14 If I were to say, "Come get picture rolls tomorrow." 00:37:55.17\00:37:59.57 All of the picture rolls would be gone in one day, 00:37:59.61\00:38:01.64 and there'd be a waiting line. 00:38:01.68\00:38:03.11 So I've been holding them back 00:38:03.14\00:38:04.61 and putting them in our pioneers 00:38:04.65\00:38:06.18 who are doing church plantings hands exclusively, 00:38:06.21\00:38:09.28 just because the demand is so high. 00:38:09.32\00:38:11.05 And I have to make sure that 00:38:11.09\00:38:12.42 they get into those guys hands first. 00:38:12.45\00:38:15.16 So this tool that ASI has helped to develop 00:38:15.19\00:38:19.46 is going to be an amazing boost to God's work around the world, 00:38:19.49\00:38:23.03 especially in places 00:38:23.06\00:38:25.10 where there is not access to power. 00:38:25.13\00:38:27.64 And the visual material 00:38:27.67\00:38:29.27 they have is very, very limited. 00:38:29.30\00:38:32.87 Debbie, this doesn't stop here because you asked 00:38:32.91\00:38:36.44 if this was the end of the project 00:38:36.48\00:38:37.98 in the final report. 00:38:38.01\00:38:39.35 No, it's not. 00:38:39.38\00:38:40.72 This year, we have the ASI picture roll project 00:38:40.75\00:38:43.32 is on our offering list. 00:38:43.35\00:38:45.49 But it's not just on the offering list. 00:38:45.52\00:38:47.66 It's on the overflow offering list. 00:38:47.69\00:38:49.62 And what I wanna talk about this morning for just a minute 00:38:49.66\00:38:53.26 is what we have the opportunity to do 00:38:53.29\00:38:57.63 to advance this project through the overflow offering. 00:38:57.67\00:39:00.97 Here's the numbers. 00:39:01.00\00:39:04.14 We need thousands of these picture rolls 00:39:04.17\00:39:06.21 around the world. 00:39:06.24\00:39:08.08 And it cost us about $100 per set. 00:39:08.11\00:39:12.11 By the time we get them 00:39:12.15\00:39:13.48 in the tube delivered to the frontlines 00:39:13.52\00:39:17.12 because there's a lot of logistical challenges 00:39:17.15\00:39:19.42 and the printing cost and this paper, by the way, 00:39:19.45\00:39:23.56 is I say nearly indestructible. 00:39:23.59\00:39:26.73 It's tear proof, waterproof, mildew proof, 00:39:26.76\00:39:31.10 and they come in a container that they can seal it up in. 00:39:31.13\00:39:34.50 So it's amazing product going to the field for just $100. 00:39:34.54\00:39:38.14 I said, "It's amazing that 00:39:38.17\00:39:39.51 we can do it for just that much." 00:39:39.54\00:39:42.54 A container load of those, there are 1,500 in a container. 00:39:42.58\00:39:47.72 Some of you here today could sponsor a container load. 00:39:47.75\00:39:51.49 Some of you might be able to just sponsor one 00:39:51.52\00:39:53.66 but how many people do we have here?
