Now the difference with the
gifts that we're talking about

everyone of us receives

Now, I remember growing up...

to the holiday season,

sometimes my mom
or dad would say,

"Put a list of
gifts you want together

and give them to me
and maybe I'll surprise you

with whatever's on that list

or maybe you'll get something
that's not on the list. "

Now, many of us
when we think of gifts

and we're talking about
the gifts of the Spirit,

we cannot give the Holy
Spirit a list of gifts and say,

"I want that
one... I want that one"

He gives us the
gifts that He knows

best fits the need
that we have as a church.

Now, I want to
make that really clear.

that the local
body of believers has.

Whatever need that
that body of believers...

if it's a single

going to look at that list

and many Christians are told

gift that they don't have,

apple tree and an orange tree,

why do they grow back so quickly

even though I cut them?"

Until a few nights
ago and even last week,

when we pulled
up in the driveway

and our headlights
shined in that direction,

we saw a deer
lying right by that tree

and then we
noticed during the day...

the deer standing by
that tree eating the fruit

and I thought,

"Man! now I see why God allowed
that tree to grow every year

because the deer
couldn't jump up to get it,

so the Lord...
knowing that those deer

had need of that
particular fruit,

he gifted it to them

would sling back and whack me

"That tree doesn't like me

And the Lord does

there is a particular need,

the woman is the church.
