Let's sing this song together. 00:03:04.98\00:03:06.95 I heard an old, old story 00:03:14.19\00:03:17.83 How the Savior came from glory 00:03:17.86\00:03:21.73 How He gave His life on Calvary 00:03:21.76\00:03:25.33 To save a wretch like me 00:03:25.37\00:03:29.24 I heard about His groaning 00:03:29.27\00:03:32.97 Of His precious blood's atoning 00:03:33.01\00:03:36.78 Then I repented of my sin 00:03:36.81\00:03:40.68 And won the victory 00:03:40.72\00:03:44.29 O victory in Jesus 00:03:44.32\00:03:48.06 My Savior, forever 00:03:48.09\00:03:51.93 He sought me and bought me 00:03:51.96\00:03:55.66 With His redeeming blood 00:03:55.70\00:03:59.43 He loved me ere I knew Him 00:03:59.47\00:04:03.24 And all my love is due Him 00:04:03.27\00:04:07.01 He plunged me to victory 00:04:07.04\00:04:10.81 Beneath the cleansing flood 00:04:10.85\00:04:14.62 I heard about a mansion 00:04:14.65\00:04:18.39 He has built for me in glory 00:04:18.42\00:04:22.19 And I heard about the streets of gold 00:04:22.22\00:04:25.96 Beyond the crystal sea 00:04:25.99\00:04:29.70 About the angels singing 00:04:29.73\00:04:33.47 And the old redemption story 00:04:33.50\00:04:37.21 And some sweet day I'll sing up there 00:04:37.24\00:04:41.11 The song of victory 00:04:41.14\00:04:43.61 Key change. 00:04:43.65\00:04:44.98 O victory in Jesus My Savior, forever 00:04:45.01\00:04:52.35 He sought me and bought me 00:04:52.39\00:04:56.16 With His redeeming blood 00:04:56.19\00:04:59.96 He loved me ere I knew Him 00:05:00.00\00:05:03.73 And all my love is due Him 00:05:03.77\00:05:07.50 He plunged me to victory 00:05:07.54\00:05:11.31 Beneath the cleansing flood 00:05:11.34\00:05:15.24 He plunged me to victory 00:05:15.28\00:05:18.85 Beneath the cleansing flood 00:05:18.88\00:05:25.05 Amen. 00:05:25.09\00:05:26.62 Sounds nice and hearty. 00:05:26.65\00:05:30.93 The Truth about the First Day 00:05:30.96\00:05:33.19 is the title of our lesson tonight. 00:05:33.23\00:05:35.76 But before we go to that lesson, 00:05:35.80\00:05:38.90 we have been studying 00:05:38.93\00:05:40.27 The Truth about the Body Temple, 00:05:40.30\00:05:42.20 which in fact is the topic of adornment. 00:05:42.24\00:05:44.87 Where did this come from? 00:05:44.91\00:05:46.61 How the Lord led the children of Israel out of Egypt, 00:05:46.64\00:05:49.34 gave them all the wealth of the Egyptians, 00:05:49.38\00:05:51.75 and instead of saving it 00:05:51.78\00:05:53.11 for the building of the earthly, 00:05:53.15\00:05:55.38 temporary tabernacle, 00:05:55.42\00:05:57.19 they decided to wear it instead. 00:05:57.22\00:05:59.12 And that's the Old Testament examples 00:05:59.15\00:06:00.96 how God call them from that practice 00:06:00.99\00:06:04.49 to living their lives for the glory of the Lord. 00:06:04.53\00:06:08.76 Now I want to go to Revelation Chapter 12, 00:06:08.80\00:06:10.83 I'm going to show you two examples, 00:06:10.87\00:06:13.67 two particular scriptures. 00:06:13.70\00:06:15.20 Revelation 12:1, and Revelation 17:4. 00:06:15.24\00:06:19.54 When you go down to the very end of the Bible, 00:06:19.57\00:06:21.44 it's amazing how this topic of adornment 00:06:21.48\00:06:24.05 begins to be addressed in Genesis, 00:06:24.08\00:06:26.85 and then is capped off with two symbols in Revelation. 00:06:26.88\00:06:30.72 Revelation 12:1, 00:06:30.75\00:06:32.49 we're going to see two pictures. 00:06:32.52\00:06:34.59 We're going to see the church 00:06:34.62\00:06:36.73 as God has ordained it to be, 00:06:36.76\00:06:40.90 and then we're going to see the church in apostasy. 00:06:40.93\00:06:44.63 We're going to see the church in faithfulness 00:06:44.67\00:06:47.00 and the church in apostasy. 00:06:47.04\00:06:48.67 Now the reason why 00:06:48.70\00:06:50.04 these two pictures are important 00:06:50.07\00:06:51.41 is because you'll find that there's a vast difference 00:06:51.44\00:06:53.84 in the way they look. 00:06:53.88\00:06:55.58 And for the Lord to communicate that message by adorning them, 00:06:55.61\00:07:00.25 the way He does, 00:07:00.28\00:07:01.68 there must be a message about 00:07:01.72\00:07:04.55 who is the Lord of either one or each one, 00:07:04.59\00:07:09.52 who is in charge? 00:07:09.56\00:07:10.89 And what message is being conveyed 00:07:10.93\00:07:12.86 by the outward appearance? 00:07:12.89\00:07:14.63 So let me make a point before we read the verses. 00:07:14.66\00:07:17.20 What's taken place on the inside 00:07:17.23\00:07:18.83 will be reflected on the outside, 00:07:18.87\00:07:20.24 do you believe that? 00:07:20.27\00:07:21.87 How we feel on the inside often plays itself out 00:07:21.90\00:07:25.07 on the outside, 00:07:25.11\00:07:26.91 the things we believe, the things we teach, 00:07:26.94\00:07:29.51 the things we embrace are often communicated 00:07:29.54\00:07:32.65 by the way we present ourselves. 00:07:32.68\00:07:34.72 So Revelation Chapter 12, 00:07:34.75\00:07:37.22 let's look at Revelation Chapter 12. 00:07:37.25\00:07:39.15 And we're going to look at first at the woman 00:07:39.19\00:07:42.12 that is pictured as the faithful picture 00:07:42.16\00:07:44.76 of the church. 00:07:44.79\00:07:46.13 Revelation 12:1, the Bible reads, 00:07:46.16\00:07:49.36 "Now a great sign appeared in heaven, 00:07:49.40\00:07:53.47 a woman closed with the," what? 00:07:53.50\00:07:56.60 "Sun with the moon under her feet, 00:07:56.64\00:08:00.58 and on her head a crown of," how many stars? 00:08:00.61\00:08:04.65 "Twelve stars." 00:08:04.68\00:08:06.01 Notice what she's clothed with. 00:08:06.05\00:08:08.28 Sun, moon, stars, 00:08:08.32\00:08:11.52 and that crown represents those stars. 00:08:11.55\00:08:16.42 What's the natural beauty of the woman? 00:08:16.46\00:08:18.56 What God created? 00:08:18.59\00:08:19.93 The sun, the moon and the stars, 00:08:19.96\00:08:21.56 reflecting the glory of God. 00:08:21.60\00:08:22.93 Now we know the moon has no light of its own, 00:08:22.96\00:08:25.73 it reflects the glory of the sun. 00:08:25.77\00:08:27.94 And the stars are in and of themselves 00:08:27.97\00:08:30.74 reflecting the glory. 00:08:30.77\00:08:32.11 Now many stars we know 00:08:32.14\00:08:33.48 are not other moons but other galaxies. 00:08:33.51\00:08:38.31 So the glory that is presented by this woman 00:08:38.35\00:08:41.22 is the natural beauty, 00:08:41.25\00:08:42.58 the sun, the moon, and the stars. 00:08:42.62\00:08:44.22 Can we say amen to that? 00:08:44.25\00:08:45.65 That's the natural beauty, 00:08:45.69\00:08:47.02 that's the way that God pictures His church. 00:08:47.06\00:08:49.52 That's the church that Satan is upset with. 00:08:49.56\00:08:52.13 Revelation 12:1. 00:08:52.16\00:08:53.50 Now let's go to Revelation 12:17. 00:08:53.53\00:08:56.46 Revelation 17:4, 00:08:56.50\00:09:01.30 Revelation 17:4. 00:09:01.34\00:09:03.77 In my mind when I say that's the faithful woman, 00:09:03.81\00:09:06.91 I was thinking of Revelation 12:17 00:09:06.94\00:09:08.91 because in Revelation 12:17, 00:09:08.94\00:09:11.68 you find there the text 00:09:11.71\00:09:13.28 where Satan is upset with that woman. 00:09:13.31\00:09:16.18 He's not just upset with the fact that she keeps 00:09:16.22\00:09:19.05 the commandments of God, 00:09:19.09\00:09:20.42 but he's upset with everything about her dedication to God. 00:09:20.46\00:09:23.76 All right, let's look at that. 00:09:23.79\00:09:25.39 Revelation 17:4, here it is. 00:09:25.43\00:09:28.50 And this is the other woman. 00:09:28.53\00:09:29.86 And by the way, who is she? 00:09:29.90\00:09:31.23 She, based on Revelation 17:1, 00:09:31.27\00:09:34.04 she's described as the great harlot, 00:09:34.07\00:09:36.27 she's described in Revelation 17:5 00:09:36.30\00:09:38.41 as mystery Babylon the Great, 00:09:38.44\00:09:40.61 the picture of utter rebellion against God. 00:09:40.64\00:09:42.84 But notice how she's pictured. 00:09:42.88\00:09:45.31 Revelation 17:4, 00:09:45.35\00:09:47.15 "And the woman was arrayed in," what color? 00:09:47.18\00:09:49.72 "Purple and scarlet," 00:09:49.75\00:09:51.09 meaning the color blue is missing, 00:09:51.12\00:09:53.36 which represents God's commandments, 00:09:53.39\00:09:55.52 "And adorned together with," what? 00:09:55.56\00:09:58.23 "Gold," and what else? 00:09:58.26\00:10:00.53 "Precious stones," and what else? 00:10:00.56\00:10:02.96 "Pearls having in her hand, 00:10:03.00\00:10:05.63 a golden cup full of abomination 00:10:05.67\00:10:09.17 and the filthiness of her fornication." 00:10:09.20\00:10:12.07 So God uses precious stones, 00:10:12.11\00:10:15.54 pearls, gold, 00:10:15.58\00:10:18.45 as an indication of her external appearance, 00:10:18.48\00:10:21.58 the very same symbols that were used in Babylon, 00:10:21.62\00:10:26.82 the same symbols that were used in Egypt, 00:10:26.86\00:10:29.62 and whenever God's people got involved in wearing 00:10:29.66\00:10:32.26 these articles of gold, 00:10:32.29\00:10:34.33 or precious stones, or pearls, 00:10:34.36\00:10:36.20 the Lord pictured His people in a position of rebellion. 00:10:36.23\00:10:39.57 So look at the different pictures. 00:10:39.60\00:10:41.20 The woman naturally clothed, 00:10:41.24\00:10:43.04 and the woman with external adornment, 00:10:43.07\00:10:45.57 not reflecting the inward character, 00:10:45.61\00:10:47.84 as the Bible says, 00:10:47.88\00:10:49.21 the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit 00:10:49.24\00:10:52.08 in the sight of God is what is precious, 00:10:52.11\00:10:54.75 not the ornaments that are external, 00:10:54.78\00:10:56.42 but the ornaments that are internal, 00:10:56.45\00:10:58.12 the meek and quiet spirit. 00:10:58.15\00:10:59.49 Amen to that. 00:10:59.52\00:11:00.86 One more text before we begin our new lesson. 00:11:00.89\00:11:02.62 Now let's go to Ezekiel, Ezekiel Chapter 28. 00:11:02.66\00:11:07.10 Ezekiel Chapter 28. 00:11:07.13\00:11:10.53 Okay, let's look at that text together. 00:11:10.57\00:11:14.40 Ezekiel 28, 00:11:14.44\00:11:15.97 and we're going to look at Lucifer... 00:11:16.00\00:11:19.54 Thank you very much. 00:11:19.57\00:11:21.44 Lucifer, whose name before his fall 00:11:21.48\00:11:24.88 meant the son of the morning, the son of the morning. 00:11:24.91\00:11:27.98 Now, when the morning sun rises, 00:11:28.02\00:11:32.95 the glory of the heavens are what paints the sky. 00:11:32.99\00:11:36.66 When the sun begins to rise, 00:11:36.69\00:11:38.23 we see that it begins to be just faintly light, 00:11:38.26\00:11:42.00 then maybe you have that purple, 00:11:42.03\00:11:44.27 and the colors begin to come in, 00:11:44.30\00:11:45.97 but when the sun finally clears the horizon, 00:11:46.00\00:11:48.14 you see the glory radiating everywhere, 00:11:48.17\00:11:51.84 but the way that the Lord God clothed Lucifer 00:11:51.87\00:11:57.65 before his rebellion 00:11:57.68\00:12:00.55 was quite different than after his rebellion. 00:12:00.58\00:12:04.62 Now what you're going to see, and here's the context of this. 00:12:04.65\00:12:08.52 This fallen angel that was clothed 00:12:08.56\00:12:11.76 in glorious garments that the Lord clothed him in, 00:12:11.79\00:12:15.46 lost his former state. 00:12:15.50\00:12:16.83 So when you read that, 00:12:16.87\00:12:18.60 you're going to see the word in the past tense. 00:12:18.63\00:12:22.00 Let's look at Ezekiel 28:13, Ezekiel 28:13. 00:12:22.04\00:12:27.91 Okay, here it is. 00:12:27.94\00:12:30.71 "You were in Eden, 00:12:30.75\00:12:34.68 the garden of God. 00:12:34.72\00:12:37.79 Every," what kind of stone? 00:12:37.82\00:12:40.46 "Every precious stone was your covering." 00:12:40.49\00:12:43.46 Now get this. This is amazing. 00:12:43.49\00:12:45.69 This fallen angel having been clothed that way, 00:12:45.73\00:12:49.23 now wants humanity to be clothed the way he was. 00:12:49.26\00:12:54.27 And when he said, "I'll be like the most high." 00:12:54.30\00:12:56.10 What he lost is what he wants to give to us. 00:12:56.14\00:12:59.31 He wants us to be externally covered, 00:12:59.34\00:13:01.28 but the covering comes only on the glorious side. 00:13:01.31\00:13:04.61 The covering comes 00:13:04.65\00:13:05.98 only in the presence of God's glory. 00:13:06.01\00:13:07.88 Adam and Eve lost their covering, 00:13:07.92\00:13:09.68 he lost his covering. 00:13:09.72\00:13:11.22 It is amazing, and I'll go further on in the text 00:13:11.25\00:13:13.12 as I began to read it, as I continue reading it. 00:13:13.15\00:13:15.66 The two things that Lucifer possessed 00:13:15.69\00:13:17.73 that are great issues in the Christian church today 00:13:17.76\00:13:20.66 is music and adornment. 00:13:20.70\00:13:24.63 Those are the two things he was vastly gifted with. 00:13:24.67\00:13:28.30 Those are two of the major issues 00:13:28.34\00:13:30.07 in the Christian church today, music and adornment. 00:13:30.11\00:13:33.54 Let's continue. 00:13:33.58\00:13:35.14 It says, "Every precious stone was your covering, 00:13:35.18\00:13:38.05 the sardius, topaz, and diamond, 00:13:38.08\00:13:41.28 the burl, onyx, and jasper, 00:13:41.32\00:13:44.75 sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold." 00:13:44.79\00:13:49.36 Notice all the precious stones, 00:13:49.39\00:13:51.83 the way he was clothed before he rebelled 00:13:51.86\00:13:55.30 is the way he seeks to clothe us 00:13:55.33\00:13:57.67 after his rebellion. 00:13:57.70\00:13:59.87 And when it says every precious stone, 00:13:59.90\00:14:02.07 these were your covering, 00:14:02.10\00:14:04.17 that means he lost that beauty after his fall. 00:14:04.21\00:14:07.21 But now communicating to humanity, 00:14:07.24\00:14:10.21 to clothe themselves, 00:14:10.25\00:14:12.71 to represent the very one 00:14:12.75\00:14:14.58 that was in rebellion against God, and... 00:14:14.62\00:14:17.85 Say it again. 00:14:17.89\00:14:19.22 And that was the clothing before sin. 00:14:19.25\00:14:21.56 Now, here's something we have to very much keep in mind. 00:14:21.59\00:14:24.26 We talked about this last week, 00:14:24.29\00:14:26.06 and I think I should go ahead and maybe turn there with you. 00:14:26.09\00:14:30.17 Let's go to Revelation one more time. 00:14:30.20\00:14:32.93 Revelation Chapter 1 one more time. 00:14:32.97\00:14:35.50 Now, I'm going to go to a different... 00:14:35.54\00:14:37.14 This is just capping off lesson number 31. 00:14:37.17\00:14:39.77 We're going to go to the screen in just a moment. 00:14:39.81\00:14:41.48 Revelation Chapter... 00:14:41.51\00:14:43.68 And I'll show you why the Lord wants His people 00:14:43.71\00:14:46.11 to overcome this struggle with adornment 00:14:46.15\00:14:50.35 is because when we get to heaven, 00:14:50.39\00:14:52.49 the Lord wants heaven to be a place 00:14:52.52\00:14:56.02 that is going to be a city that remains intact. 00:14:56.06\00:15:00.00 All right, Revelation Chapter 21, 00:15:00.03\00:15:03.83 Revelation Chapter 21. 00:15:03.87\00:15:07.40 Okay, 21. 00:15:07.44\00:15:09.84 I say it slowly, 00:15:09.87\00:15:11.21 it sounds like Revelation 20 and 1, 00:15:11.24\00:15:13.27 but Revelation 21, 00:15:13.31\00:15:15.04 and we're going to look together 00:15:15.08\00:15:17.11 at the biblical picture of the New Jerusalem, 00:15:17.15\00:15:22.72 all right? 00:15:22.75\00:15:24.09 Revelation 21 beginning with verse 19, look at this. 00:15:24.12\00:15:26.55 All right, 00:15:30.06\00:15:31.39 I'm going to go further back. 00:15:37.23\00:15:38.83 I'm going to go 00:15:38.87\00:15:40.20 to Revelation 21:11, 00:15:40.24\00:15:45.37 verse 10, verse 10, okay, thank you, 00:15:45.41\00:15:47.98 I appreciate you're keeping up with me. 00:15:48.01\00:15:51.15 Revelation 21:10, and the Bible says, 00:15:51.18\00:15:53.11 "And he carried me away 00:15:53.15\00:15:55.18 in the spirit to a great and high mountain, 00:15:55.22\00:15:57.82 and showed me the great city," the what city? 00:15:57.85\00:16:01.86 "Holy Jerusalem, 00:16:01.89\00:16:04.49 descending out of heaven from God having the," what? 00:16:04.53\00:16:09.40 "The glory of God, 00:16:09.43\00:16:12.10 and her light was like a most precious stone, 00:16:12.13\00:16:17.21 like a jasper stone clear as," what? 00:16:17.24\00:16:21.34 "Clear as crystals." 00:16:21.38\00:16:23.48 All right? 00:16:23.51\00:16:24.85 Now let's go and look at the description of this city. 00:16:24.88\00:16:28.02 All right? 00:16:28.05\00:16:30.49 We're going to go to verse 19, "And the foundation," 00:16:30.52\00:16:33.66 speaking of the walls, 00:16:33.69\00:16:35.06 "And the foundation of the wall of the city 00:16:35.09\00:16:37.79 were adorned with all kinds of precious stones. 00:16:37.83\00:16:42.16 The first foundation was jasper, 00:16:42.20\00:16:44.20 the second," what? 00:16:44.23\00:16:45.57 "Sapphire, the third chalcedony, 00:16:45.60\00:16:47.67 the fourth, emerald, the fifth, sardonyx, 00:16:47.70\00:16:50.04 the sixth, sardius, the seventh chrysolite, 00:16:50.07\00:16:53.14 the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, 00:16:53.17\00:16:55.41 the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, 00:16:55.44\00:16:58.55 and the twelfth amethyst." 00:16:58.58\00:17:00.52 It says, "And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, 00:17:00.55\00:17:03.55 each individual gate was of one pearl." 00:17:03.59\00:17:06.89 Can you imagine the size of that pearl? 00:17:06.92\00:17:09.89 Huge, but here's the point. 00:17:09.92\00:17:11.69 If we are not delivered from self ordinate, 00:17:15.00\00:17:18.80 self adornment, 00:17:18.83\00:17:20.80 and we go to heaven with that in mind, 00:17:20.84\00:17:22.87 we go to heaven to adorn ourselves 00:17:22.90\00:17:24.94 with precious stones, and pearls, and gold, 00:17:24.97\00:17:27.88 what's going to happen to the New Jerusalem 00:17:27.91\00:17:29.81 when we get there? 00:17:29.84\00:17:31.58 Huh? 00:17:31.61\00:17:33.01 We don't want to live in the city, 00:17:33.05\00:17:34.52 we want to wear the city. 00:17:34.55\00:17:36.32 And what many of us don't understand 00:17:36.35\00:17:37.82 is when you even look at the foundations 00:17:37.85\00:17:39.52 of 12 precious stones, the foundations of the city, 00:17:39.55\00:17:42.59 the walls of the city, the gates of the city, pearls, 00:17:42.62\00:17:46.29 and the streets made of transparent gold, 00:17:46.33\00:17:48.30 that means pure, 00:17:48.33\00:17:49.86 pure than any gold that this earth has ever known. 00:17:49.90\00:17:52.70 If we are not delivered from the self ornamentation 00:17:52.73\00:17:57.01 when we get to the kingdom of God 00:17:57.04\00:17:58.87 rather than reflecting the glory of God, 00:17:58.91\00:18:02.11 we're going to want to reflect the glory of the city, 00:18:02.14\00:18:04.58 chiseling up the streets of gold, 00:18:04.61\00:18:07.12 taken down the gates of pearl to put them on, 00:18:07.15\00:18:09.55 you follow my point? 00:18:09.58\00:18:11.12 God wants His natural glory to be reflected. 00:18:11.15\00:18:14.26 Can you say amen to that? 00:18:14.29\00:18:15.82 And so when you begin to see the comparison, 00:18:15.86\00:18:17.89 and we cover the lesson in great detail, 00:18:17.93\00:18:19.66 if you want a copy of that, 00:18:19.69\00:18:21.03 you can go to the website I mentioned, 00:18:21.06\00:18:22.40 asf.3abn.org and download lesson number 31 00:18:22.43\00:18:26.74 to get all the ones 00:18:26.77\00:18:28.70 that we covered up to this point. 00:18:28.74\00:18:30.67 Hopefully, that will give you a clarity. 00:18:30.71\00:18:32.97 The issue of it is whether we therefore eat or drink, 00:18:33.01\00:18:36.14 or whatever we do, do all to the glory of God. 00:18:36.18\00:18:40.08 That is including how we take care 00:18:40.12\00:18:42.05 of the inside of our bodies, and how we adorn the outside. 00:18:42.08\00:18:45.85 Praise the Lord for that. 00:18:45.89\00:18:47.22 Now, the new title of the lesson is on the screen. 00:18:47.26\00:18:50.09 Can we say that together? 00:18:50.13\00:18:51.46 The Truth about the what day? 00:18:51.49\00:18:53.43 The Truth about the First Day. 00:18:53.46\00:18:55.90 Now this is huge. 00:18:55.93\00:18:57.30 When I was working on this lesson, 00:18:57.33\00:18:59.27 I gave my wife a preview of the lesson 00:18:59.30\00:19:00.87 why it's so vitally important. 00:19:00.90\00:19:02.47 Let me put the context together. 00:19:02.50\00:19:05.14 Recently the Supreme Court made a decision 00:19:05.17\00:19:08.74 that I would say Christians 00:19:08.78\00:19:10.25 nationwide are very upset about. 00:19:10.28\00:19:13.82 The Supreme Court by one particular vote 00:19:13.85\00:19:17.35 passed something called the redefinition of marriage. 00:19:17.39\00:19:22.29 Now let me ask you the question. 00:19:22.32\00:19:24.09 Can man redefine what God has already defined? 00:19:24.13\00:19:27.50 Yes or no? 00:19:27.53\00:19:28.86 Cannot, it's impossible. 00:19:28.90\00:19:30.60 So Christians nationwide are infuriated by the fact 00:19:30.63\00:19:36.54 that this idea of same sex marriage 00:19:36.57\00:19:39.67 has been voted in to replace 00:19:39.71\00:19:42.21 marriage between a man and a woman, 00:19:42.24\00:19:44.05 the way that God ordained it 00:19:44.08\00:19:45.81 in the Garden of Eden before sin. 00:19:45.85\00:19:48.18 You might wonder how does this associate 00:19:48.22\00:19:50.05 with the first day. 00:19:50.09\00:19:51.42 You're going to follow me very carefully. 00:19:51.45\00:19:52.79 Now Christians today are saying, 00:19:52.82\00:19:55.22 how could the Supreme Court have done that? 00:19:55.26\00:19:58.29 It offends us as Christians that they substituted. 00:19:58.33\00:20:02.40 What words did I just use? 00:20:02.43\00:20:04.17 They substituted God's definition of marriage 00:20:04.20\00:20:09.40 with their definition of marriage. 00:20:09.44\00:20:13.61 And then they said, 00:20:13.64\00:20:15.24 "We no longer support traditional marriage." 00:20:15.28\00:20:18.21 So I guess this new marriage will be untraditional. 00:20:18.25\00:20:22.42 Now, the reason why Christians are upset as they are today 00:20:22.45\00:20:27.29 is because this change has been made in our presence. 00:20:27.32\00:20:31.53 We're seeing the change. 00:20:31.56\00:20:33.16 But let's play this out a little bit. 00:20:33.19\00:20:36.06 If the world last this long, which I'm hoping it doesn't, 00:20:36.10\00:20:38.83 let's say 300 years from now. 00:20:38.87\00:20:41.30 Would same sex marriage seem to be traditional? 00:20:41.34\00:20:43.81 Yes or no? 00:20:43.84\00:20:46.98 Yeah, of course, 00:20:47.01\00:20:48.81 because it would have been practiced 00:20:48.84\00:20:50.48 as a tradition for 300 years. 00:20:50.51\00:20:53.65 So in 300 years, this will be the new tradition, 00:20:53.68\00:20:58.49 the new normal replacing the old tradition. 00:20:58.52\00:21:01.52 But let me suggest to you that the marriage, 00:21:01.56\00:21:04.93 the way that God established it is not a tradition, 00:21:04.96\00:21:07.80 it's biblical. 00:21:07.83\00:21:09.16 Say that word again. 00:21:09.20\00:21:10.90 It's a hard word to say, biblical. 00:21:10.93\00:21:13.37 So we never... 00:21:13.40\00:21:14.74 I don't believe in traditional anything. 00:21:14.77\00:21:16.50 I believe in scriptural marriage, 00:21:16.54\00:21:18.67 not traditional marriage. 00:21:18.71\00:21:20.04 Amen? 00:21:20.08\00:21:21.41 Because traditions change, 00:21:21.44\00:21:22.78 that's the reason I began with that story. 00:21:22.81\00:21:24.15 So 300 years from now, 00:21:24.18\00:21:25.51 same sex marriage is going to seem traditional 00:21:25.55\00:21:27.68 to that generation. 00:21:27.72\00:21:29.05 They're going to say, 00:21:29.08\00:21:30.42 "We've been doing this for the last 300 years." 00:21:30.45\00:21:32.69 So it'll be a well established tradition 00:21:32.72\00:21:34.49 if God allows the world to go on that long. 00:21:34.52\00:21:38.23 But the reason why Christians are upset today 00:21:38.26\00:21:40.50 is because they're saying, 00:21:40.53\00:21:41.86 how dare them substitute 00:21:41.90\00:21:44.33 what God blessed way back in Eden. 00:21:44.37\00:21:48.04 Now, brothers and sisters, 00:21:48.07\00:21:50.11 there's a point to that beginning statement. 00:21:50.14\00:21:52.47 Now let me transition to the first day. 00:21:52.51\00:21:55.18 What many Christians don't know, 00:21:55.21\00:21:57.31 they may think that the Supreme Court 00:21:57.35\00:21:59.21 just began its attack on God's Word. 00:21:59.25\00:22:02.95 But a different court, 00:22:02.98\00:22:05.29 more than 2,000 years ago began its attack on God's Word 00:22:05.32\00:22:10.13 by substituting the Sabbath 00:22:10.16\00:22:13.63 for the first day of the week. 00:22:13.66\00:22:16.26 And the reason why Christians today are not upset 00:22:16.30\00:22:19.43 is because it's been a tradition 00:22:19.47\00:22:21.77 for almost 2,000 years. 00:22:21.80\00:22:24.94 So what seemed like a practice supported by the Bible 00:22:24.97\00:22:27.98 is nothing but a 2,000 year old tradition. 00:22:28.01\00:22:31.28 And if you go further back than the Roman Empire, 00:22:31.31\00:22:34.65 you can go back to the time the Babylonians 00:22:34.68\00:22:36.75 and the Phoenicians, 00:22:36.79\00:22:38.12 all served and worship the sun God 00:22:38.15\00:22:40.62 from which we get the word Sunday. 00:22:40.66\00:22:43.49 Now Saturday is man's name. 00:22:43.53\00:22:46.73 Sabbath is God's name for the Seventh-day. 00:22:46.76\00:22:49.80 So we call... 00:22:49.83\00:22:51.17 My wife, somebody said to my wife, 00:22:51.20\00:22:52.53 "You have a hard time saying Saturday." 00:22:52.57\00:22:54.30 She said, "Well, yes, because I've been calling 00:22:54.34\00:22:55.70 the seventh day Sabbath almost all my life." 00:22:55.74\00:22:58.37 That's the name God gave the seventh day of the week, 00:22:58.41\00:23:00.08 the Sabbath. 00:23:00.11\00:23:01.44 Can we say amen to that? 00:23:01.48\00:23:02.88 So when you notice this, 00:23:02.91\00:23:04.25 the reason why this topic is so vitally important. 00:23:04.28\00:23:07.32 I now believe, I'm fully convinced, 00:23:07.35\00:23:09.78 and I think that if you're a Christian you will agree. 00:23:09.82\00:23:12.52 If the change was made today from God's commandments, 00:23:12.55\00:23:16.62 the fourth commandment to a new day of worship, 00:23:16.66\00:23:19.46 Christians today would have said, I am upset, 00:23:19.49\00:23:21.76 they just change God's commandments. 00:23:21.80\00:23:24.90 But because it's been going on, 00:23:24.93\00:23:26.27 but because the change was made almost 2,000 years ago, 00:23:26.30\00:23:29.97 the first law was passed by Roman Emperor Constantine, 00:23:30.01\00:23:33.51 not yet by the Roman pontiff, 00:23:33.54\00:23:35.51 but by Roman Emperor Constantine 00:23:35.54\00:23:37.45 in the year 168 AD. 00:23:37.48\00:23:39.91 That's when the first change. 00:23:39.95\00:23:41.28 It was started as a family day. 00:23:41.32\00:23:43.82 The same language being used today 00:23:43.85\00:23:46.25 by Pope Francis. 00:23:46.29\00:23:47.79 We need to establish a day for family. 00:23:47.82\00:23:50.43 That's the same language that's being used 00:23:50.46\00:23:53.53 by this present pope. 00:23:53.56\00:23:55.10 We need to establish a day for family. 00:23:55.13\00:23:58.03 Satan knows he has been successful for 2,000 years, 00:23:58.07\00:24:00.67 why not bring it back. 00:24:00.70\00:24:02.04 And so here's my point. 00:24:02.07\00:24:04.47 If you believe that tradition is above the Bible, 00:24:04.51\00:24:09.04 then same sex marriage 00:24:09.08\00:24:10.41 should be okay to all Christians. 00:24:10.45\00:24:13.88 But we don't believe that tradition is above the Bible, 00:24:13.92\00:24:16.18 therefore Christians do not accept 00:24:16.22\00:24:18.19 same sex marriage. 00:24:18.22\00:24:19.55 Can I get an amen? 00:24:19.59\00:24:21.16 So since you don't believe that tradition is above the Bible, 00:24:21.19\00:24:24.29 on the very same premise, 00:24:24.33\00:24:26.46 you should not allow the first day of the week 00:24:26.49\00:24:29.63 to substitute what God blessed from the very beginning. 00:24:29.66\00:24:33.30 And by the way, God blessed the Sabbath 00:24:33.34\00:24:35.54 before sin entered the world. 00:24:35.57\00:24:37.61 God blessed the marriage before sin into the world, 00:24:37.64\00:24:40.64 which means if sin never entered the world, 00:24:40.68\00:24:44.28 there would be no need for anything new. 00:24:44.31\00:24:47.15 And by the way, even though sin entered the world, 00:24:47.18\00:24:48.78 there is no need for anything new. 00:24:48.82\00:24:51.05 Did you get that? 00:24:51.09\00:24:52.59 The only reason why things are changing 00:24:52.62\00:24:54.36 is because sin is making the change, 00:24:54.39\00:24:57.43 not God, all right? 00:24:57.46\00:25:00.50 So now let me premise that again. 00:25:00.53\00:25:04.13 If you believe that tradition is more powerful 00:25:04.17\00:25:06.57 than the Bible, 00:25:06.60\00:25:08.40 which in 1565, Pope Reggio said, 00:25:08.44\00:25:11.61 "Tradition is above the Bible." 00:25:11.64\00:25:14.61 They had to do that to be successful 00:25:14.64\00:25:17.25 against the early Protestant reformers 00:25:17.28\00:25:19.78 because the Protestant reformers 00:25:19.81\00:25:21.78 stood on the Bible and the Bible only. 00:25:21.82\00:25:24.65 And the only way to successfully argue 00:25:24.69\00:25:27.72 above the reformers 00:25:27.76\00:25:29.12 is to exalt tradition above the Bible. 00:25:29.16\00:25:32.03 I would submit you today 00:25:32.06\00:25:34.33 that that's exactly what has happened in America. 00:25:34.36\00:25:37.77 This new redefinition of marriage 00:25:37.80\00:25:42.30 has been exalted above God's Word. 00:25:42.34\00:25:44.21 And anybody who says otherwise, any Christian that says, 00:25:44.24\00:25:48.08 I go by the Bible is being ostracized in the society. 00:25:48.11\00:25:52.85 But as a Christian, I am not going to keep silent. 00:25:52.88\00:25:55.38 Can we get an amen? 00:25:55.42\00:25:56.99 I still stand on God's Word, but I don't stand on God's Word 00:25:57.02\00:26:00.92 just for the fact that I believe in marriage 00:26:00.96\00:26:04.13 the way God intended it to be. 00:26:04.16\00:26:06.29 But I stand on God's Word because I believe that 00:26:06.33\00:26:08.50 the seventh day of the week is the only day He blessed, 00:26:08.53\00:26:12.43 and I'm not standing on this tradition of worship, 00:26:12.47\00:26:15.50 I'm standing on the biblical foundation 00:26:15.54\00:26:17.61 of the day God blessed. 00:26:17.64\00:26:18.97 Amen? 00:26:19.01\00:26:20.34 So let's peek at that very quickly. 00:26:20.38\00:26:21.71 Let's peek at that before we go to 00:26:21.74\00:26:23.08 question number one. 00:26:23.11\00:26:24.45 We have time, and as you know here, 00:26:24.48\00:26:25.81 we don't rush, we don't rush. 00:26:25.85\00:26:28.02 Go with me to Genesis Chapter 2. 00:26:28.05\00:26:30.49 We don't rush because whatever we don't cover on this program 00:26:30.52\00:26:33.25 surely will be covered in the next upcoming program. 00:26:33.29\00:26:37.43 Genesis Chapter 2. 00:26:37.46\00:26:38.79 Now the reason I'm taking you to Genesis 00:26:38.83\00:26:40.50 is because right before Genesis 2:1, 00:26:40.53\00:26:46.47 you find that in Genesis 1:31, the Bible says, 00:26:46.50\00:26:51.01 "Then God saw everything that He had made, 00:26:51.04\00:26:54.64 and indeed it was very good." 00:26:54.68\00:26:57.51 Say very good. 00:26:57.55\00:26:59.91 That means His divine stamp of approval. 00:26:59.95\00:27:03.99 And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. 00:27:04.02\00:27:07.42 Now look at Genesis 2:1, 00:27:07.46\00:27:10.56 "Thus the heavens and the earth were..." 00:27:10.59\00:27:12.96 "Thus the heavens and the earth, 00:27:12.99\00:27:14.33 and all the host of them were finished. 00:27:14.36\00:27:18.60 And on the seventh day, 00:27:18.63\00:27:20.97 God ended His work which He had done, 00:27:21.00\00:27:25.41 and He rested on the seventh day 00:27:25.44\00:27:28.04 from," how much? 00:27:28.08\00:27:29.41 "All His work which He had done, 00:27:29.44\00:27:33.38 then God blessed the," together, 00:27:33.42\00:27:36.48 "seventh day, and did," what? 00:27:36.52\00:27:38.62 "Sanctified it because in it He rested from all His work 00:27:38.65\00:27:42.69 which God created and made." 00:27:42.72\00:27:44.59 What day did God sanctify? 00:27:44.63\00:27:46.63 The seventh. 00:27:46.66\00:27:48.00 Did God sanctify marriage? 00:27:48.03\00:27:49.96 Yes, it's sanctified 00:27:50.00\00:27:51.73 when a man and a woman are together. 00:27:51.77\00:27:54.27 And why, why man and woman? 00:27:54.30\00:27:55.64 A lot of people may say, 00:27:55.67\00:27:57.01 "Well, as long as we love each other, 00:27:57.04\00:27:58.37 that's all that matters." 00:27:58.41\00:27:59.74 Well, what happens here 00:27:59.77\00:28:01.11 is when man and man are joined together, 00:28:01.14\00:28:02.48 they don't complete the image of God. 00:28:02.51\00:28:03.85 Now, just as follow that through. 00:28:03.88\00:28:06.61 If God decided that Adam needed another man, 00:28:06.65\00:28:11.45 there'll be no more human race. 00:28:11.49\00:28:13.62 It would have died out when Adam died out, 00:28:13.66\00:28:15.16 and when his partner died out. 00:28:15.19\00:28:17.33 If God said... 00:28:17.36\00:28:18.69 With Eve, with Eve, 00:28:18.73\00:28:20.60 humanity would have had no procreative abilities. 00:28:20.63\00:28:24.47 Satan is seeking to remove the image of God 00:28:24.50\00:28:28.14 from the human race 00:28:28.17\00:28:29.50 because God gave woman the femaleness, 00:28:29.54\00:28:33.31 God gave man, the maleness, 00:28:33.34\00:28:35.64 and when men and women are joined together, 00:28:35.68\00:28:37.81 they complete the image of God and the human race. 00:28:37.85\00:28:41.05 That's why you find all through the Bible, 00:28:41.08\00:28:43.49 the church is referred to as the woman, 00:28:43.52\00:28:45.62 and Jesus is referred to as the husband man. 00:28:45.65\00:28:49.62 That's the image of God on the human race. 00:28:49.66\00:28:51.33 Satan has always been against the image of God 00:28:51.36\00:28:54.43 and the human race. 00:28:54.46\00:28:55.80 And that's the way he is seeking to obliterate it, 00:28:55.83\00:28:58.27 the closer we get to the coming of the Lord. 00:28:58.30\00:28:59.90 Now let's dive into that because once again, 00:28:59.93\00:29:01.94 I preface this by saying, 00:29:01.97\00:29:03.91 if you believe tradition is above the Bible, 00:29:03.94\00:29:06.37 then Christians should accept same sex marriage. 00:29:06.41\00:29:10.05 But if you don't believe that tradition is above the Bible, 00:29:10.08\00:29:12.91 you must embrace marriage the way that God intended. 00:29:12.95\00:29:16.25 And on the very same note, 00:29:16.28\00:29:17.69 if you believe that tradition is above the Bible, 00:29:17.72\00:29:20.09 then you can pick any day to worship. 00:29:20.12\00:29:22.02 But if you believe that God's Word is supreme 00:29:22.06\00:29:23.93 above tradition, 00:29:23.96\00:29:25.29 then God only blessed the Sabbath, 00:29:25.33\00:29:27.16 and only blessed the seventh day. 00:29:27.20\00:29:28.53 Amen to that? 00:29:28.56\00:29:29.90 And the Sabbath and the first day 00:29:29.93\00:29:31.27 are not the same day, 00:29:31.30\00:29:32.63 we'll show you that in just a moment. 00:29:32.67\00:29:34.17 All right, let's go to question number one. 00:29:34.20\00:29:35.87 Lot of foundation but very important. 00:29:35.90\00:29:38.31 Question number one, what event... 00:29:38.34\00:29:41.14 And by the way, we're going to see, 00:29:41.18\00:29:43.48 we're going to see 12 verses in the New Testament. 00:29:43.51\00:29:47.88 Where we're going to see them? 00:29:47.92\00:29:49.25 In the New Testament, 00:29:49.28\00:29:50.62 now here's the reason for this exercise, 00:29:50.65\00:29:52.59 very important exercise. 00:29:52.62\00:29:53.96 Many Christians have been taught 00:29:56.96\00:29:58.59 that the Sabbath was done away with 00:29:58.63\00:30:01.56 and Sunday is now the new day of worship. 00:30:01.60\00:30:05.60 Now once again if that's the case, 00:30:05.63\00:30:08.94 if God got rid of the Sabbath, 00:30:08.97\00:30:11.94 then something was wrong with it. 00:30:11.97\00:30:14.54 And He found a better day. 00:30:14.58\00:30:16.85 But God did not get rid of the Sabbath. 00:30:16.88\00:30:20.02 But if you have been taught that God 00:30:20.05\00:30:22.28 established a new day of worship, 00:30:22.32\00:30:24.29 the only place you can find that establishment 00:30:24.32\00:30:26.82 is in the New Testament, right? 00:30:26.86\00:30:29.79 Because after Jesus died and ascended back to heaven 00:30:29.82\00:30:32.19 after His resurrection, 00:30:32.23\00:30:33.96 what happens after that point 00:30:34.00\00:30:36.46 should give us all the evidence we need 00:30:36.50\00:30:39.47 if it's in the Bible to establish 00:30:39.50\00:30:41.37 that Sunday is now the new day of worship. 00:30:41.40\00:30:43.84 That's why many Christians say in defense of the first day 00:30:43.87\00:30:47.28 to avoid the Sabbath, 00:30:47.31\00:30:48.64 they say we're New Testament Christians. 00:30:48.68\00:30:51.55 Well, you ought to be all testament Christians. 00:30:51.58\00:30:53.48 Amen? 00:30:53.52\00:30:54.85 Because if you're only New Testament Christians, 00:30:54.88\00:30:56.35 then you can't really follow the creation record 00:30:56.38\00:31:00.26 because most of the Bible, 00:31:00.29\00:31:02.96 about 80% of the Bible is Old Testament. 00:31:02.99\00:31:05.86 And it's like the Christians today 00:31:05.89\00:31:07.83 have been taught to pick the old against a new 00:31:07.86\00:31:10.37 or the new against the old. 00:31:10.40\00:31:11.80 They say, "Is it in the New Testament?" 00:31:11.83\00:31:14.64 Do you see how large the Old Testament is? 00:31:14.67\00:31:16.37 You cannot possibly duplicate 00:31:16.40\00:31:18.04 the whole Old Testament in the New Testament. 00:31:18.07\00:31:20.71 The simple way to understand that is the Old Testament 00:31:20.74\00:31:23.65 is the New Testament concealed, 00:31:23.68\00:31:26.18 and the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed, 00:31:26.21\00:31:28.98 all right? 00:31:29.02\00:31:30.35 Clearly covenant, covenant hasn't changed. 00:31:30.39\00:31:34.66 Praise God for that. Now look at the first question. 00:31:34.69\00:31:36.36 Here it is on the screen. 00:31:36.39\00:31:38.56 What event was referred to in the first New Testament text 00:31:38.59\00:31:43.30 about the first day? 00:31:43.33\00:31:45.37 What event was referred to? 00:31:45.40\00:31:46.74 We're going to see the 12 texts. 00:31:46.77\00:31:48.10 There are only 12 verses in the entire New Testament 00:31:48.14\00:31:50.77 about the first day of the week, only 12. 00:31:50.81\00:31:53.88 How many did I say? Twelve. 00:31:53.91\00:31:55.51 We're gonna look at every one of them 00:31:55.54\00:31:57.25 and see which one gives us a new day of worship. 00:31:57.28\00:32:01.48 What event was referred to in the first New Testament text 00:32:01.52\00:32:05.29 about the first day? 00:32:05.32\00:32:06.65 Let's go to Matthew 26:17, 00:32:06.69\00:32:09.12 and we're going to take them all in chronological order. 00:32:09.16\00:32:12.69 Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, 00:32:12.73\00:32:15.30 1 Corinthians and Philippians, we're going to see all of them. 00:32:15.33\00:32:18.87 Here it is. 00:32:18.90\00:32:20.24 Here it is. 00:32:20.27\00:32:21.60 Matthew 26:17. 00:32:21.64\00:32:23.71 Here's the first one. 00:32:23.74\00:32:25.44 Okay, it's on the screen. 00:32:25.47\00:32:27.48 "Now on the first day of the Feast of," what? 00:32:27.51\00:32:31.61 "Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus, 00:32:31.65\00:32:34.75 saying to Him, 'Where do You want us 00:32:34.78\00:32:37.39 to prepare for You to eat the Passover?'" 00:32:37.42\00:32:40.56 So now, is this talking about a new day of worship? 00:32:40.59\00:32:43.12 No, it's simply talking about 00:32:43.16\00:32:44.49 the Feast of the Unleavened Bread. 00:32:44.53\00:32:46.16 And by the way, that wasn't, 00:32:46.19\00:32:48.73 that wasn't a particular day in the week, 00:32:48.76\00:32:51.40 but it's just simply meant 00:32:51.43\00:32:52.77 the beginning of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. 00:32:52.80\00:32:55.24 Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat this Passover? 00:32:55.27\00:32:59.07 Do you want us to do it in this section of town, 00:32:59.11\00:33:01.54 that section of town, 00:33:01.58\00:33:03.04 this portion of the temple, in the upper room, 00:33:03.08\00:33:05.18 where would you like us to prepare for that? 00:33:05.21\00:33:07.02 That does not talk about a particular day, 00:33:07.05\00:33:08.92 it simply means the beginning 00:33:08.95\00:33:10.29 of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. 00:33:10.32\00:33:11.92 And by the way, 00:33:11.95\00:33:13.29 this was before the crucifixion. 00:33:13.32\00:33:15.19 So right away we looked at very first one, 00:33:15.22\00:33:17.29 and so write that down. 00:33:17.33\00:33:18.66 What event was referred to in the first New Testament text 00:33:18.69\00:33:21.06 about the first day? 00:33:21.10\00:33:22.43 Put there, Feast of the Unleavened Bread. 00:33:22.46\00:33:24.87 And by the way, the Feast of the Unleavened Bread 00:33:28.90\00:33:30.87 is a symbol of the sinless life of Jesus. 00:33:30.91\00:33:34.38 He is the bread that has come down from heaven, 00:33:34.41\00:33:38.11 the living bread. 00:33:38.15\00:33:40.22 The Israelites thought that the bread they had 00:33:40.25\00:33:41.92 in the wilderness was more important 00:33:41.95\00:33:43.42 or more potent, 00:33:43.45\00:33:44.79 but Jesus is the living bread, all right? 00:33:44.82\00:33:47.09 So right away, we have one text down, 00:33:47.12\00:33:49.19 we have 11 more to go 00:33:49.22\00:33:50.56 to see if we could find any one of these texts 00:33:50.59\00:33:53.06 establishing a new day of worship. 00:33:53.09\00:33:55.26 Let's go to the second question. 00:33:55.30\00:33:57.30 In our second reference, 00:33:57.33\00:33:59.23 how does the Bible label 00:33:59.27\00:34:03.17 the day before the first day? 00:34:03.20\00:34:05.77 In our second reference, 00:34:05.81\00:34:08.51 how does the Bible label the day before the first day? 00:34:08.54\00:34:13.78 Let's go now to Matthew 28. 00:34:13.82\00:34:16.85 And we're going to look together at verse 1. 00:34:16.89\00:34:19.72 And some of you are so fast, you're already there. 00:34:19.75\00:34:23.46 Give me a minute. 00:34:23.49\00:34:26.29 Okay? 00:34:26.33\00:34:27.66 Although I have it on the screen, 00:34:27.70\00:34:29.80 I want to go ahead and look at it very quickly. 00:34:29.83\00:34:31.20 Are you ready? Here we go. 00:34:31.23\00:34:32.63 Matthew 28:1. 00:34:32.67\00:34:34.84 Here's the question. 00:34:34.87\00:34:36.30 "Now after the," what? 00:34:36.34\00:34:38.37 "Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, 00:34:38.41\00:34:43.38 Mary Magdalene and the other Mary 00:34:43.41\00:34:45.71 came to see the tomb." 00:34:45.75\00:34:47.35 So the question is, in our second reference, 00:34:47.38\00:34:50.62 how does the Bible label the day before the first day? 00:34:50.65\00:34:54.72 What's the answer? Sabbath. 00:34:54.76\00:34:56.66 Write that down. 00:34:56.69\00:34:58.06 Okay, so we have to establish, it's vitally important. 00:34:58.09\00:35:00.56 The first day therefore cannot be the Sabbath. 00:35:00.60\00:35:03.40 That's the importance of that text. 00:35:03.43\00:35:05.43 The first day comes after the Sabbath. 00:35:05.47\00:35:08.44 Now after the Sabbath, 00:35:08.47\00:35:11.04 as the first day of the week began to dawn, 00:35:11.07\00:35:14.41 so we can never say the Sabbath 00:35:14.44\00:35:16.85 and the first day of the week are the same day, all right? 00:35:16.88\00:35:19.85 That's in scripture, all right? 00:35:19.88\00:35:21.88 So right away, we see the first day mentioned, 00:35:21.92\00:35:25.29 but as we read this text, it's simply speaking about 00:35:25.32\00:35:28.52 when Mary came to the tomb. 00:35:28.56\00:35:30.13 Now as we continue to question number three, 00:35:30.16\00:35:33.36 we're going to see why she came to the tomb, all right? 00:35:33.40\00:35:35.96 Let's go to question number three. 00:35:36.00\00:35:38.33 What is the event described in the second New Testament 00:35:38.37\00:35:43.34 reference of the first day? 00:35:43.37\00:35:46.04 What is the event described in the second New Testament 00:35:46.07\00:35:49.84 reference of the first day? 00:35:49.88\00:35:51.41 Let's go to Matthew 28:6, if you read from verse 1-6, 00:35:51.45\00:35:55.58 you get the whole story. 00:35:55.62\00:35:57.35 But we're going to just take the components out, 00:35:57.39\00:35:59.82 and put the answers in there. 00:35:59.85\00:36:01.52 We know about the verse we just read 00:36:01.56\00:36:03.83 that Mary and the other Mary, 00:36:03.86\00:36:06.59 they came down to the tomb, right? 00:36:06.63\00:36:09.66 And they're coming to the tomb 00:36:09.70\00:36:11.03 because who's supposed to be at the tomb? 00:36:11.07\00:36:13.20 Jesus, all right? 00:36:13.23\00:36:14.57 But when they get there, look at the verse. 00:36:14.60\00:36:16.67 This is the event that's been described, 00:36:16.71\00:36:18.14 verse 6, here it is. 00:36:18.17\00:36:21.01 "The angel said," let's read this together. 00:36:21.04\00:36:23.18 "He is not," what? 00:36:23.21\00:36:24.55 "Here, for He is," what? 00:36:24.58\00:36:26.11 "Risen, as He said. 00:36:26.15\00:36:27.72 Come see the place where the Lord lay." 00:36:27.75\00:36:31.55 So what event is being talked about here? 00:36:31.59\00:36:34.76 The resurrection, Jesus' resurrection. 00:36:34.79\00:36:37.23 So right away, we've seen two references, 00:36:37.26\00:36:40.70 both of them, 00:36:40.73\00:36:42.06 one talking about the Feast of Unleavened Bread, 00:36:42.10\00:36:44.30 the other one talking about the resurrection. 00:36:44.33\00:36:46.27 So, so far out of the 12, we only covered two, 00:36:46.30\00:36:49.07 so far we haven't found any scriptural support 00:36:49.10\00:36:51.61 for new day of worship. 00:36:51.64\00:36:52.97 Now, friends, you may be watching this and say, 00:36:53.01\00:36:55.24 "Well, I go to church on the first day of the week, 00:36:55.28\00:36:57.18 what should I do?" 00:36:57.21\00:36:58.55 As I'm walking through this, let me put this out there, 00:36:58.58\00:37:01.18 so that you don't feel that this is a kind of cutting up 00:37:01.22\00:37:05.42 or beating up what you believe. 00:37:05.45\00:37:07.59 Let me put this in the proper context. 00:37:07.62\00:37:11.76 Following the example of Jesus 00:37:11.79\00:37:14.96 and following His word is what a Christian is. 00:37:15.00\00:37:19.07 Amen? 00:37:19.10\00:37:21.20 If we begin to now say, 00:37:21.24\00:37:23.77 well, this church says that, 00:37:23.81\00:37:27.48 that church says that, that church says that, 00:37:27.51\00:37:31.38 that church says that, 00:37:31.41\00:37:33.11 I'm going to pick the church that best fits 00:37:33.15\00:37:35.58 the way I want to live, 00:37:35.62\00:37:38.05 then we'll have what we have today, 00:37:38.09\00:37:40.06 just exactly what the world is. 00:37:40.09\00:37:42.29 People picking what best fits their schedule, 00:37:42.32\00:37:45.76 their way of life, their style of music, 00:37:45.79\00:37:48.86 the programs that church has, 00:37:48.90\00:37:50.80 that's not the way it was in the beginning. 00:37:50.83\00:37:53.57 In the beginning, you find the Old Testament, 00:37:53.60\00:37:56.74 you'll hear a voice behind you saying, 00:37:56.77\00:37:58.11 "This is the way, walk ye in it." 00:37:58.14\00:38:00.18 And then Matthew 4:4, 00:38:00.21\00:38:01.61 "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by," what? 00:38:01.64\00:38:05.65 "Every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." 00:38:05.68\00:38:08.18 So Jesus, His Word is so important. 00:38:08.22\00:38:11.39 He said, He honors His word above His name. 00:38:11.42\00:38:15.26 So if His Word is important, 00:38:15.29\00:38:17.06 the words of men should never be more important 00:38:17.09\00:38:19.83 than the Word of God, right? 00:38:19.86\00:38:23.10 And you'll find out that if, at the end... 00:38:23.13\00:38:26.33 Now you may get a little upset, 00:38:26.37\00:38:27.70 but I want you to just contain yourself 00:38:27.74\00:38:30.21 'cause I want you to walk through the study. 00:38:30.24\00:38:32.11 All we're giving to you is the Bible. 00:38:32.14\00:38:33.78 We're not telling you what to do, 00:38:33.81\00:38:35.54 but here's what I'm suggesting. 00:38:35.58\00:38:37.08 If after this discussion is over 00:38:37.11\00:38:39.45 or after this study is over, 00:38:39.48\00:38:40.88 you discover that what you have been doing 00:38:40.92\00:38:43.22 is tradition and not scripture, 00:38:43.25\00:38:45.22 I would suggest you follow scripture and not tradition. 00:38:45.25\00:38:48.36 Amen somebody? 00:38:48.39\00:38:49.72 Because to follow a traditional day of worship 00:38:49.76\00:38:52.89 is like accepting the new way of marriage, 00:38:52.93\00:38:57.77 right? 00:38:57.80\00:38:59.13 Men have just redefined marriage, 00:38:59.17\00:39:01.27 but 2,000 years ago, men redefined the Sabbath. 00:39:01.30\00:39:04.97 So if redefining marriage is fine with you, 00:39:05.01\00:39:07.81 then you're tradition, 00:39:07.84\00:39:09.18 men's tradition, not God's Word. 00:39:09.21\00:39:11.71 We don't accept tradition above God's Word. 00:39:11.75\00:39:13.88 Praise God for that. 00:39:13.92\00:39:15.28 Let's go to question number three. 00:39:15.32\00:39:16.89 Question number four, question number four. 00:39:16.92\00:39:20.26 All right, we're going to go through each of these texts. 00:39:20.29\00:39:22.52 In what context... 00:39:22.56\00:39:24.26 Now we're going to Mark now. 00:39:24.29\00:39:25.63 In what context does Mark record the third reference 00:39:25.66\00:39:31.07 to the first day? 00:39:31.10\00:39:32.50 In what context does Mark 00:39:32.53\00:39:34.47 record the third reference to the first day? 00:39:34.50\00:39:37.24 Let's go to Mark Chapter 14, 00:39:37.27\00:39:39.71 and we are going to look together at verse 12. 00:39:39.74\00:39:42.71 Mark Chapter 14, 00:39:42.74\00:39:44.28 and we are going to look together 00:39:44.31\00:39:45.88 at verse 12, all right? 00:39:45.91\00:39:48.42 Thank you for that water. 00:39:51.79\00:39:53.12 I'd tell you, it's refreshing. 00:39:53.15\00:39:54.49 I appreciate it very much. 00:39:54.52\00:39:57.26 The gospel sometimes share the same event. 00:39:57.29\00:40:00.96 But each disciple 00:40:01.00\00:40:02.43 will communicate it differently, all right? 00:40:02.46\00:40:05.17 Let's see now, Mark 14:12. 00:40:05.20\00:40:07.04 Here it is on the screen. 00:40:07.07\00:40:09.17 "Now on the first day of," what? 00:40:09.20\00:40:11.27 "Unleavened Bread, 00:40:11.31\00:40:13.81 when they killed the Passover lamb, 00:40:13.84\00:40:17.55 His disciples said to Him, 00:40:17.58\00:40:19.48 'Where do You want us to go and prepare 00:40:19.51\00:40:22.88 that You may eat the Passover?'" 00:40:22.92\00:40:24.59 So what is this about again? 00:40:24.62\00:40:26.69 The Feast of Unleavened Bread and the Passover. 00:40:26.72\00:40:30.36 So now based on this text in our third reference, 00:40:30.39\00:40:35.06 this simply talks about the beginning 00:40:35.10\00:40:36.97 of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. 00:40:37.00\00:40:38.53 That's simply talk about what Matthew talked about 00:40:38.57\00:40:40.64 in Matthew 26:17. 00:40:40.67\00:40:42.90 Matthew talked about it, Mark talked about it. 00:40:42.94\00:40:45.84 Three references down, nine to go. 00:40:45.87\00:40:50.28 So far in New Testament, 00:40:50.31\00:40:52.15 we haven't found anything replacing the Sabbath 00:40:52.18\00:40:54.85 that was ordained from the very beginning, 00:40:54.88\00:40:56.95 all right? 00:40:56.99\00:40:58.55 Now let's go to question number five. 00:40:58.59\00:41:02.32 And in question number five, 00:41:02.36\00:41:03.69 we're going to look at the fourth reference, 00:41:03.73\00:41:05.39 and the fifth New Testament reference. 00:41:05.43\00:41:07.80 Now you might think as, 00:41:07.83\00:41:09.16 "Why is he saying New Testament?" 00:41:09.20\00:41:10.53 It's because the New Testament is the Testament 00:41:10.57\00:41:13.23 that many people cite as the reason 00:41:13.27\00:41:15.44 why they keep a new day of worship. 00:41:15.47\00:41:17.91 And by the way, we're not going to cover that tonight, 00:41:17.94\00:41:19.77 but I'm going to show you 00:41:19.81\00:41:21.54 how this was able to successfully 00:41:21.58\00:41:24.95 be inserted into Christianity. 00:41:24.98\00:41:28.18 But let's go to question number five 00:41:28.22\00:41:29.55 before we go ahead of ourselves. 00:41:29.58\00:41:31.62 Okay, here it is. 00:41:31.65\00:41:32.99 What is the event described in the fourth 00:41:33.02\00:41:35.99 and fifth New Testament reference of the first day? 00:41:36.02\00:41:39.63 What is the event described in the fourth 00:41:39.66\00:41:41.80 and fifth New Testament reference of the first day? 00:41:41.83\00:41:45.33 All right, let's go to Mark 16:2 to begin. 00:41:45.37\00:41:49.50 Mark 16:2 is where we're going to begin. 00:41:49.54\00:41:53.38 All right, and many of you are there already, 00:41:53.41\00:41:55.54 I appreciate that. 00:41:55.58\00:41:56.95 You guys are so quick, you know where I'm going. 00:41:56.98\00:41:59.71 All right, I'm in this... 00:41:59.75\00:42:01.48 I'm in the chapter. 00:42:01.52\00:42:03.08 And if your Bible does it the way mine does, 00:42:03.12\00:42:05.15 it actually titles what going to be talked about 00:42:05.19\00:42:07.39 in that chapter. 00:42:07.42\00:42:08.76 Here it is, Mark 16:2, here's what the Bible says. 00:42:08.79\00:42:13.03 "Very early in the morning on the," what day of the week? 00:42:13.06\00:42:16.67 "First day of the week, 00:42:16.70\00:42:19.03 they came to the tomb when the sun had risen." 00:42:19.07\00:42:23.54 So now they're on their way to the tomb 00:42:23.57\00:42:26.11 on what day of the week? 00:42:26.14\00:42:27.48 The first day of the week 00:42:27.51\00:42:29.61 as we established earlier in Matthew 28:1 00:42:29.64\00:42:33.78 is the first day of the week followed the Sabbath. 00:42:33.82\00:42:39.05 All right, very important. 00:42:39.09\00:42:41.19 So this is one of the references 00:42:41.22\00:42:43.56 about the first day where we can simply, 00:42:43.59\00:42:46.03 they are coming to the tomb. 00:42:46.06\00:42:48.33 You'll find out who they are in the very next reference. 00:42:48.36\00:42:51.17 So write that down, 00:42:51.20\00:42:52.53 what is the event described 00:42:52.57\00:42:54.07 in the fourth reference of the first day? 00:42:54.10\00:42:56.81 Mark 16:2, that is going to the tomb. 00:42:56.84\00:42:59.87 That's what it is, 00:42:59.91\00:43:01.24 they talk about going to the tomb. 00:43:01.28\00:43:02.61 And when did they go? On the first day of the week. 00:43:02.64\00:43:04.71 Now let's go to Mark 16:9, okay? 00:43:04.75\00:43:10.69 Okay, here it is, speaking about what happened, 00:43:10.72\00:43:13.86 speaking about who rose. 00:43:13.89\00:43:16.12 And now the Bible reads, "Now when He rose early," 00:43:16.16\00:43:20.40 on the what day of the week? 00:43:20.43\00:43:22.10 "First day of the week, 00:43:22.13\00:43:24.03 He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, 00:43:24.07\00:43:28.17 out of whom He had cast," how many? 00:43:28.20\00:43:30.77 "Seven demons." 00:43:30.81\00:43:32.14 Who is the He talked about here by the way? 00:43:32.17\00:43:34.51 Who's the He? Say it again? 00:43:34.54\00:43:36.31 Jesus. 00:43:36.34\00:43:37.68 Jesus, when He rose, He appeared to Mary. 00:43:37.71\00:43:39.75 You may remember the dialogue as recorded in Matthew. 00:43:39.78\00:43:43.55 Mary didn't know, she thought He was a gardener. 00:43:43.59\00:43:46.82 She said, "Where have you taken my Lord?" 00:43:46.86\00:43:49.52 Tell me where you... 00:43:49.56\00:43:50.89 That the tomb is empty, where's the... 00:43:50.93\00:43:52.26 Where did you take Him? 00:43:52.29\00:43:53.63 She thought He had been stolen. 00:43:53.66\00:43:55.20 And all He said was, "Mary." 00:43:55.23\00:43:58.23 And she recognized that voice, she said, "Rabini,", 00:43:58.27\00:44:02.27 which is to say teacher. 00:44:02.30\00:44:04.14 And she was about to embrace Him, 00:44:04.17\00:44:05.51 and He said, "Do not touch Me, 00:44:05.54\00:44:06.91 I've not yet ascended to My Father." 00:44:06.94\00:44:09.34 So that He that's talked about here, 00:44:09.38\00:44:11.45 once again these two events 00:44:11.48\00:44:14.12 reference number four and five 00:44:14.15\00:44:15.55 are both referring to what event? 00:44:15.58\00:44:17.59 The resurrection, the resurrection. 00:44:17.62\00:44:21.42 Okay, so we've done four and five, 00:44:21.46\00:44:24.56 and we're on question number five, 00:44:24.59\00:44:25.93 we haven't found the day, the new day of worship yet. 00:44:25.96\00:44:29.56 Okay, let's go to the sixth reference, 00:44:29.60\00:44:32.70 the sixth reference. 00:44:32.73\00:44:34.47 All right, and question number six. 00:44:34.50\00:44:39.41 All right, it's the sixth reference, 00:44:39.44\00:44:41.44 here's the question. 00:44:41.48\00:44:43.18 What event is Luke referring to 00:44:43.21\00:44:46.41 in the sixth New Testament first day text? 00:44:46.45\00:44:50.49 What is he referring to 00:44:50.52\00:44:51.89 in the sixth New Testament first day text? 00:44:51.92\00:44:55.09 Now we've gone to Matthew, who comes after Matthew? 00:44:55.12\00:44:58.59 Mark. 00:44:58.63\00:44:59.96 Who comes after Mark? Luke. 00:45:00.00\00:45:01.43 Okay, so we're in the progression. 00:45:01.46\00:45:03.30 We're beginning with Matthew, the converted tax collector, 00:45:03.33\00:45:05.97 Mark, who's the disciple for the underdog, Luke, 00:45:06.00\00:45:09.57 who's the converted physician, and we're going to go to John, 00:45:09.60\00:45:13.27 next, who is the one whom Jesus loved, 00:45:13.31\00:45:15.54 the youngest of the disciples. 00:45:15.58\00:45:17.08 Let's see if Dr. Luke has given us the ammunition 00:45:17.11\00:45:19.65 we need to establish a new day of worship. 00:45:19.68\00:45:22.25 Luke Chapter 24. 00:45:22.28\00:45:23.62 And by the way, there's only one reference 00:45:23.65\00:45:26.12 in all the book of Luke for the first day. 00:45:26.15\00:45:29.62 We're going to see it right now. 00:45:29.66\00:45:30.99 Luke 24:1, here it is. 00:45:31.03\00:45:34.73 Let me turn there, although it's on the screen. 00:45:34.76\00:45:38.03 Okay, here it is. 00:47:30.35\00:47:34.85 I'm going to go to John Chapter 20, 00:47:34.88\00:47:36.92 and most of you are already there. 00:47:36.95\00:47:39.19 You guys, while I'm asking the questions, 00:47:39.22\00:47:40.86 you're turning, and I appreciate that, 00:47:40.89\00:47:43.29 but wait for me. 00:47:43.32\00:47:44.73 Okay, here we are. 00:47:44.76\00:47:46.16 All right, here's the text. 00:47:46.19\00:47:48.40 "Now the first day of the week, 00:47:48.43\00:47:51.80 Mary Magdalene went to the tomb," what time of day? 00:47:51.83\00:47:56.30 "Early, while was still dark, 00:47:56.34\00:47:59.61 and saw that the stone had been taken away 00:47:59.64\00:48:02.64 from the tomb." 00:48:02.68\00:48:05.35 When she saw the stone had been taken away, 00:48:05.38\00:48:07.75 the Bible says in the very next verse, 00:48:07.78\00:48:10.32 "Then she ran and came to Simon, and Peter, 00:48:10.35\00:48:12.55 and the other disciple whom Jesus loved 00:48:12.59\00:48:14.42 and said to them, 00:48:14.46\00:48:15.79 'They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, 00:48:15.82\00:48:17.86 and we do not know where they have laid Him.'" 00:48:17.89\00:48:21.93 He's gone. 00:48:21.96\00:48:23.63 Let me tell you, let me ask you, 00:48:23.67\00:48:25.00 why is He gone? 00:48:25.03\00:48:26.37 Because He rose, He had risen. 00:48:26.40\00:48:29.90 And so now let me ask the question, 00:48:29.94\00:48:31.77 what event is John referring to 00:48:31.81\00:48:33.88 in the seventh New Testament first day text? 00:48:33.91\00:48:37.18 The resurrection. 00:48:37.21\00:48:38.55 It's amazing how many texts 00:48:38.58\00:48:40.92 continue to refer to the resurrection. 00:48:40.95\00:48:43.35 So write that down again. 00:48:43.39\00:48:44.72 We have resurrection. 00:48:44.75\00:48:46.09 So far, we've only seen two events, 00:48:46.12\00:48:47.46 resurrection and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. 00:48:47.49\00:48:49.59 Resurrection, 00:48:49.62\00:48:50.96 Feast of Unleavened Bread, that's it. 00:48:50.99\00:48:52.36 One prior to the death of Jesus, 00:48:52.39\00:48:54.36 one after the death of Jesus, 00:48:54.40\00:48:58.33 particularly the resurrection. 00:48:58.37\00:49:00.34 All right, now we've got a question number eight, 00:49:00.37\00:49:03.81 question number eight, all right? 00:49:03.84\00:49:06.61 We're moving at a good pace. 00:49:06.64\00:49:08.58 We're moving at a good pace. 00:49:08.61\00:49:11.31 Okay, now this one, 00:49:11.35\00:49:15.22 I really like this one. 00:49:15.25\00:49:18.42 I really, really like this one 00:49:18.45\00:49:21.96 because let me put the context together. 00:49:21.99\00:49:24.63 Now Jesus had been crucified, 00:49:24.66\00:49:30.00 He was in the tomb. 00:49:30.03\00:49:32.07 This by the way 00:49:32.10\00:49:35.84 is one of the verses in the Bible 00:49:35.87\00:49:38.04 used to support Sunday worship. 00:49:38.07\00:49:41.01 But as you read this text, 00:49:41.04\00:49:42.58 you're going to see that is not about Sunday worship, 00:49:42.61\00:49:46.35 the entire context will be included 00:49:46.38\00:49:49.65 as we look at the verses before that, 00:49:49.68\00:49:51.79 and the verses after that. 00:49:51.82\00:49:54.16 Okay, let's go ahead. 00:49:54.19\00:49:55.52 When I get to verse 19, bring it up on the screen. 00:49:55.56\00:49:58.03 I'm going to start with the verses before that, 00:49:58.06\00:50:00.26 all right? 00:50:00.30\00:50:01.63 Let's start with... 00:50:01.66\00:50:03.23 Actually verse 19 really is the beginning of the context 00:50:03.26\00:50:07.00 because Mary, 00:50:07.04\00:50:09.30 she came and tells the disciples 00:50:09.34\00:50:10.67 everything that's happening. 00:50:10.71\00:50:12.04 So now what kind of assembly does the Bible describe 00:50:12.07\00:50:14.84 in the eighth New Testament reference? 00:50:14.88\00:50:16.51 Go ahead and bring that up on the screen. 00:50:16.54\00:50:17.88 Here it is, John 20:19, "Then the same day at evening," 00:50:17.91\00:50:22.65 here's what the Bible says. 00:50:22.68\00:50:24.22 You'll see it in the text. 00:50:24.25\00:50:25.79 "Then the same day at evening, 00:50:25.82\00:50:28.99 being the," what day of the week? 00:50:29.02\00:50:31.83 "First day of the week, 00:50:31.86\00:50:33.70 when the doors were shut 00:50:33.73\00:50:36.46 where the disciples were assembled," 00:50:36.50\00:50:40.04 for worship service. 00:50:40.07\00:50:41.64 What does it say? 00:50:41.67\00:50:43.14 "For fear of the Jews." 00:50:43.17\00:50:46.04 Let me finish the text, and it says, 00:50:46.07\00:50:48.74 "Jesus came and stood in the midst, 00:50:48.78\00:50:51.45 and said to them," what? 00:50:51.48\00:50:53.28 "Peace be with you.'" 00:50:53.31\00:50:55.05 At that moment, they had anything but peace. 00:50:55.08\00:50:57.25 Why were they there? 00:50:57.29\00:50:58.62 Because they were assembled for what? 00:50:58.65\00:51:01.06 For fear of the Jews. 00:51:01.09\00:51:02.79 This was not a church service, this was a hideout. 00:51:02.82\00:51:07.33 In other words, our Lord has just been killed, 00:51:07.36\00:51:09.96 what are they thinking? 00:51:10.00\00:51:11.33 What are they thinking? 00:51:11.37\00:51:12.83 We're next. 00:51:12.87\00:51:14.70 They are not worshiping, they are praying. 00:51:14.74\00:51:19.97 There's a difference between worshipping and praying. 00:51:20.01\00:51:21.94 They are in fear, they are in trouble. 00:51:21.98\00:51:24.98 If they kill the Lord, 00:51:25.01\00:51:26.51 what's going to happen to us next? 00:51:26.55\00:51:28.28 There was anything but peace in that assembly. 00:51:28.32\00:51:31.39 And by the way, when it says they were assembled together, 00:51:31.42\00:51:36.99 there in Luke, I mean, in John 20:19, 00:51:37.03\00:51:41.26 they were assembled for fear, 00:51:41.30\00:51:42.93 that means they were huddled together, 00:51:42.96\00:51:46.57 that's what that means. 00:51:46.60\00:51:47.94 They were not having song service, 00:51:47.97\00:51:49.57 and let's read this scroll next, 00:51:49.60\00:51:51.44 and let's have this prayer next, 00:51:51.47\00:51:52.91 they were huddled together, 00:51:52.94\00:51:54.81 doors were shut so that nobody could find them. 00:51:54.84\00:51:58.65 Now does Jesus need doors to come in? 00:51:58.68\00:52:00.68 Yes or no? No. 00:52:00.72\00:52:02.08 He came into their presence and said, "Luis, relax," 00:52:02.12\00:52:07.69 He said, "Yannick, it's going to be okay. 00:52:07.72\00:52:11.43 Terry, don't worry about it, I'm risen. 00:52:11.46\00:52:15.60 Peace be with you." 00:52:15.63\00:52:17.67 Amen, church? 00:52:17.70\00:52:19.40 Peace be with you. 00:52:19.43\00:52:20.80 This was not the establishment of a new day of worship, 00:52:20.84\00:52:24.24 He was simply saying, 00:52:24.27\00:52:25.87 "Remember, I told you I was going to rise? 00:52:25.91\00:52:27.74 I'm back." 00:52:27.78\00:52:30.41 Let me wipe my forehead for them. 00:52:30.45\00:52:32.21 Man, man, so what do we do next, Lord? 00:52:32.25\00:52:35.52 And He gave them instructions after that. 00:52:35.55\00:52:37.89 He gave them instructions after that. 00:52:37.92\00:52:39.59 You could continue to go through that, 00:52:39.62\00:52:41.02 and Doubting Thomas needed some confirmation, 00:52:41.06\00:52:43.53 Thomas said, "I'm not sure. 00:52:43.56\00:52:46.83 I'm not sure. 00:52:46.86\00:52:48.50 Is this an apparition?" 00:52:48.53\00:52:49.86 He said, "Go ahead, stick your hand on My side. 00:52:49.90\00:52:53.03 I have flesh and blood.
