It is not subject

So the person
that is unconverted

strength, we cannot.

we can do nothing.

look at this verse,

So now in this
scripture, you will notice

difference being made

reconciled and being saved.

are brought out here.

notice that one is past tense,

about a point in time

decision to follow Jesus.

we gave our lives to the Lord,

sacrifice for us on the cross.

When Jesus Christ
died on the cross,

available to every person

lived upon this earth,

of having salvation

items, what does that mean?

practically worthless to you,

they will have no
nutritional value.

So perish means actually to die,

So now let's look
at this scripture.

What does the Bible say?

Romans 5:10, says,

"We were reconciled
by the death of His son."

It does not say we were
saved by the death of His son.

It says, "We were reconciled,"

what does being reconciled mean?

It means that two individuals

that were not at
peace with one another

are brought together
00:08:37.81\00:08:39.21
and they are now at
peace, you become friends.

So when we were sinners,

when we did not
walk with the Lord,

we were His enemy.

When we accept Jesus
Christ as our personal Savior,

we are brought
into harmony with God

and so we are no longer
enemies at odds with God,

we become reconciled.

In fact, the
Bible goes on to tell us

that we become sons
and daughters of God.

distinction being made

reconciliation and salvation.

They are not contradictory.

And they actually harmonize

perfectly in God's
great plan of salvation.

So let's look
now at the last part.

to look at some scriptures

that help us see the same thing.

Now, let's look at verse 21.

that sometime means in the past,

"sometime alienated,"
what does it say we were?

"Alienated and enemies in
your mind by wicked works,

yet now hath he reconciled."

So we see here
as we read verse 21,

that in the past we were enemies

and because of wicked works,

but because of Jesus
Christ, His death on the cross,

we can be reconciled.

The death of Jesus
Christ makes it possible

for us to be reconciled.

then speaks of a condition
that God wants to work in us.

And that is, as we

So we began to talk about that.

And he said, "No," even if,

and so I had to ask
him a direct question.

to the saving of the soul.

Question, does the Bible
say that the devils believe?

The devils believe but
are they going to be saved?

No, because they don't believe
to the saving of the soul.

As a matter of fact,

their belief is not
really a belief of faith.

It's a, to them a fact
because they have seen God,

So this idea of being reconciled

being reconciled part

that we shall be saved.
