there are the Bible Belt,

there are the churches
out west, east, north, south,

there are the
West Indian churches,

and the Spanish churches,
00:05:37.17\00:05:38.50
There are the
culturally sensitive churches

and the churches that wanna
have everything for everyone.

But there's one church
00:05:43.07\00:05:44.44
that we don't
see very much today,

and Acts Chapter 8 introduces us

to that kind of church.

Now, in Acts Chapter 8,

the reason I
wanna point this out,

is because there's
something that's going to happen

to the church
in the near future,

that's going to
be able to determine

dedication to Christ really is.

Now, right today,
there are not a lot of people

that talks about persecution,

except if you are
in countries where

as a Christian, you
are in the minority,

and there are places
around the world we know of

where Christianity
you cannot proselytize,

that is evangelize,
you can be an Adventist,

but you cannot hold
an evangelistic series.

There are places in
the world like that.

But for the most part,

the Christian church
is not under persecution.

One thing you'll discover
that when persecution comes,

it has a way of weeding
out those who really serve God

from those who just have
a vocal profession of God.

we think of Ethiopia,

but we often don't say,

Egypt or Ethiopia is in Africa,
but it is, in fact, Africa.

it's a country of Africa.

in this particular topic,

So the church,

one of the functions
of the last day church

or the remnant church,

that we are living in

judgment is coming.

Now why is that
vitally important?

Because when Jesus comes,

the judgment is not
going to begin when He comes,

the only judgment
that's going to take place,

the last judgment is at the end

of the thousand years,

that is the
judgment of the wicked.

But before Jesus comes back,

the judgment of the righteous
is going to take place.

So today, many churches
are not preaching that Jesus

is in the heavenly sanctuary,

and we are living in
the time of the judgment.

very clear in just a moment,

just to kind of give
some more flesh to this.

You see, in the yearly
services among the Jews,

there was a day call
the Day of Atonement.

A good way to think of
atonement is at one met,

becoming one with God.
00:11:29.62\00:11:31.95
But in order for that to happen,

you see sins were
covered all year long

by the blood of the lamb.

But then at the
Day of Atonement,

the sins were blotted out.

There's a difference between

covering the stain on the carpet

and blotting it out, isn't that?

So every day when
we confess our sins,

the Bible says, "He
is faithful and just

to forgive us of our
sins and," to do what?

Cleanse us from
all unrighteousness."

Now more than once,

I've had our
carpets cleaned at home.

Now when we cleanse our carpets,

what do we get in
this big clear cylinder?

What do we get?

A lot of, what?

A lot of dirt.

So now, the dirt
that was on the carpet

was transferred to
that big old dirty cylinder,

often filled with water.

And you wonder,

"Man, was my
carpet really that dirty?

It didn't look it."

Many of us,

when our sins are
being transferred,

we don't understand
the magnificence of sin,

but the Lord sees it

old dirty clear cylinder

filled with muck and stains

that were taken
out from our carpet.

All we have left is a
beautiful clean carpet.

But something has to
happen to that water.

It's got to be
poured out somewhere.

water is poured out,

Say there is a
truck that comes by

the carpet water.

the perfect example.

Redwood camp meeting,

where I'm going with this,

and you have motorhomes,
you have fifth wheels.

Anybody know where

And you have
septic in your fifth wheel

on your motorhome,

you can only hold but so
much they call it black water.

See, the gray water is the water

from the dishes and the shower.

But the black water is
waste water, human waste.

You can only hold but so much.

So in the campground,

at least the
campgrounds that I work was that

they have a
truck that goes around,

they call the honey
truck, have you heard of that?

And what it does, it
empties all this waste

and it carries it
somewhere and it dumps it there.

And wherever they dump it,

it'll be there until
it's removed from there

and nobody will ever remember

the accumulation of
all of that black water.

You see our sins
are being forgiven,

but by faith

they are being transferred
to the most holy place,

as was the case among
the children of Israel.

And then once a year,

those sins were
purged, they were blotted out.

So therefore, when that Day
of Atonement service was done,

come back on the people.

And then there was
the Feast of Tabernacles,

they celebrated the
blotting out of their sins.

Well, how many
churches do you hear today,

teaching that your sins go
before you in the judgment,

and you are in
process right now and one day,

you will come
before the Lord in judgment
00:14:32.83\00:14:34.30
and your sins
will be blotted out,

and then the final
declaration will be made.

He that is
righteous stay that way,

just remain that way,
unjust remain that way,

and filthy remain that way.

But there's another message
that is preached to that,

judgment hour message,

hear messages about Babylon.

about the fall of Babylon?

Because so many
churches are taught

that from Revelation Chapter
4 on only applies to the Jews.

And when the "Rapture"
which is not scriptural occurs,
