00:01 Music...
00:19 Hello Friends, welcome to another Wednesday night
00:22 Bible Study, here at the 3ABN Worship Center.
00:25 This is A Sharper Focus and thank you so much for tuning in
00:29 and joining us for a thoughtful hour
00:31 in studying the Word of God.
00:33 Can you all welcome our audience with a hearty "Amen. "
00:35 Audience: Amen.
00:37 And we'd like to encourage you to just relax,
00:40 get your Bible, get your pen
00:41 and we'll tell you in just a moment
00:43 how you can get an access...
00:45 actually get access to the lesson
00:47 to follow along with us tonight,
00:48 but we want to thank you for your prayers
00:51 and for all that you do to advance the cause of God
00:54 and for the ministry of Three Angels Broadcasting Network
00:58 but before we have our opening song,
01:00 we always begin with a word of prayer
01:02 so, bow your heads with us.
01:03 "Our heavenly Father, we thank you that tonight
01:07 You are going to come into our presence as You always do
01:11 when we invite You Lord,
01:14 we know that You'll send Your Holy Spirit to be our Teacher
01:17 and to be our Guide
01:19 and so, bless us Lord as our hearts are opened
01:22 and turned toward heaven,
01:23 we pray that our understanding will be fruitful
01:26 and that our hearts would be activated by Your presence
01:30 to follow You and to trust You with our lives
01:33 and this we pray in Jesus' name, amen. "
01:37 Now, let's begin by starting with our theme song tonight.
01:41 What is our theme song?
01:43 "Victory in Jesus. "
01:45 If you know the song, sing along with us
01:47 as we open our hearts before the Lord,
01:50 Victory in Jesus.
01:51 Music...
02:03 I heard an old, old story,
02:06 How the Savior came from glory,
02:10 How He gave His life on Calvary
02:14 To save a wretch like me;
02:17 I heard about His groaning,
02:21 of His precious blood's atoning
02:25 And I repented of my sins;
02:29 And won the victory.
02:32 O victory in Jesus,
02:36 My Savior, forever.
02:40 He sought me and bought me
02:44 with His redeeming blood,
02:48 He loved me ere I knew Him,
02:51 And all my love is due Him,
02:55 He plunged me to victory,
02:59 Beneath the cleaning flood
03:03 I heard about a mansion
03:07 He has built for me in glory.
03:10 And I heard about the streets of gold
03:14 Beyond the crystal sea;
03:18 About the angels singing,
03:22 And the old redemption story,
03:25 And some sweet day I'll sing up there
03:29 The song of victory.
03:31 Key change...
03:33 O victory in Jesus,
03:37 My Savior, forever.
03:40 He sought me and bought me
03:44 With His redeeming blood;
03:48 He loved me ere I knew Him,
03:52 And all my love is due Him,
03:56 He plunged me to victory,
04:00 Beneath the cleansing flood
04:03 He plunged me to victory,
04:07 Beneath the cleansing flood.
04:11 Amen...
04:14 Audience: Amen.
04:16 That song has received recognition all over the world.
04:18 I think I did this in the past
04:21 but someone has sent a request for the lyrics.
04:25 If you go to this website, where you can get the lyrics
04:29 as well as the lesson for tonight
04:31 ASF.3abn. org
04:36 there download lesson number 25
04:38 which is the truth about the Millennium
04:41 and then, scan through and you'll see the song lyrics
04:43 for "Victory in Jesus. "
04:46 Well, tonight we're going to continue in our study
04:48 on the Millennium...
04:49 the Millennium... it comes from two words, Milli... annum
04:54 meaning 1,000... what?
04:56 1,000 years...
04:58 Now, this is a very interesting topic
05:00 in that, there are so many misconceptions about it
05:04 and we've been covering in great detail
05:08 the beginning of the millennium...
05:09 what's going to be happening during the millennium
05:12 but what I'd like to begin with tonight
05:14 is something very important
05:16 because this is a very sobering topic,
05:18 we found out about that last week when we studied
05:21 how knowing about the millennium
05:23 is more than just understanding how it begins...
05:26 what happens during the millennium
05:27 and what happens at the end of the 1,000 years.
05:30 The most important message of the millennium is,
05:32 "We want to be with Jesus when He returns... "
05:35 what do you say?
05:36 We want to go back with Him,
05:38 So... so, we are just studying,
05:40 this is for those of us who have given our lives to Christ,
05:42 this is Millennium 101
05:45 because what's going to happen during that 1,000-year period,
05:48 if your life is in Christ... will not affect you negatively.
05:52 Now, I want to begin by just simply laying out the foundation
05:55 go with me to Matthew chapter 25 verse 41,
05:58 this is not one of the questions.
05:59 Matthew chapter 25 verse 41
06:02 and what I want to make very clear
06:04 is that... at the very outset of the rebellion,
06:10 God's intention was not to destroy humanity,
06:15 God's intention was to destroy the devil and his angels...
06:19 all of those who battled against Him in the kingdom and lost.
06:24 They were evicted from heaven and the Lord says in His Word,
06:28 you know... what's amazing about this
06:30 that when Jesus comes there are going to be two groups
06:34 how many groups did I say?
06:35 Two groups... one on the right
06:38 and one on the left...
06:40 the sheep will be on the right
06:41 and what's going to be on the left?
06:43 The goats...
06:45 and there's a phrase that Jesus uses here
06:47 in Matthew chapter 25 and verse 41,
06:51 well, let me just go ahead and give you the context,
06:53 look at verse 31 first,
06:55 just to show you the context of Matthew chapter 25,
06:59 verse 31, and the Bible says,
07:02 "When the son of man comes in His glory,
07:06 and all the holy angels with Him,
07:09 then He will sit on the throne of His... " what?
07:13 "of His glory... "
07:14 All nations will be gathered before Him,
07:18 and He will separate them one from another,
07:21 as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. "
07:26 Now there are going to be two declarations,
07:29 now we talked about these declarations last week...
07:31 we said, "Just and Unjust...
07:35 righteous and filthy... "
07:37 so there's only Just and Unjust...
07:40 Holy... Unholy...
07:42 Righteous... Unrighteous...
07:43 Clean... Filthy...
07:45 there are only two categories.
07:46 All those who were holy and just and righteous
07:49 will be among the goat or the sheep?
07:51 Among the goat or the sheep?
07:53 Audience: Sheep.
07:54 All the righteous will be the sheep
07:58 and so the Lord further emphasizes
08:02 what these two categories are.
08:03 Look at verse 34... just to get the first verse,
08:06 "Then the king will say to those on His... " say with me,
08:11 "right hand, 'Come you blessed of My Father,
08:14 inherit the kingdom prepared for you
08:17 from the foundation of the world... "
08:20 so, those who are on the right hand will inherit what?
08:22 They will inherit the kingdom.
08:25 They're going back to the kingdom with Jesus
08:27 as He says in John chapter 14 verses 1 to 3,
08:30 "I will come again to receive you unto myself
08:32 that where I am... " that's the Kingdom...
08:35 "there you may be also. "
08:36 That's the kingdom...
08:38 one day we are going to be all in the Kingdom.
08:40 Audience: Amen.
08:42 Pause...
08:44 One day, we are all going to be in the kingdom.
08:45 Audience: Amen.
08:47 Not in New York...
08:48 we're going to all be in the Kingdom.
08:50 That's what we've been waiting for.
08:51 That's not a... "Okay... "
08:53 it's a "Hallelujah. "
08:55 But just reserve that for later, that's the first group.
08:59 He's going to say, "Come and inherit the Kingdom"
09:02 and in 1st Corinthians chapter 15,
09:05 Paul says, "He will deliver the Kingdom to the Father... "
09:09 that means, He's not just delivering the New Jerusalem
09:12 but specifically,
09:14 He's delivering all the saints of all the ages,
09:16 "Come, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you
09:18 from the foundation of the world. "
09:20 Pause...
09:22 Now, I'm going to just ask you a question
09:23 and I want you to think about it,
09:25 I'll give you the answer later on...
09:26 if the Kingdom was prepared for them
09:28 from the foundation of the world,
09:29 what is he getting ready?
09:31 Think about that, okay.
09:33 Let's look at the second group,
09:35 He says, "I go to prepare a place for you. "
09:38 Let's look at verse 41 now,
09:40 the second group...
09:41 all right...
09:43 "Then He will also say to those on the... " what hand?
09:47 "left hand... depart from me ye cursed
09:52 into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and... "
09:56 what? "and his angels. "
09:59 Now, verse 46, the Bible says,
10:02 "These will go away into everlasting... " what?
10:07 "punishment...
10:08 but the righteous into eternal... " what?
10:11 "life... "
10:12 now, everlasting punishment not everlasting punishing.
10:16 The results are eternal for both groups,
10:18 eternal life... we're not being saved eternally,
10:22 we are saved eternally.
10:24 We're not being punished eternally,
10:27 but the punishment lasts...
10:29 the results of the punishment lasts eternally...
10:33 not the process.
10:35 The other day, I burned a pile of leaves and brushes,
10:39 I confessed last week that I hadn't done so
10:42 since the leaves started falling last year,
10:45 but this week... Sunday... it was a beautiful day
10:48 and I had cut down some bushes in front of the lake there
10:52 and all that in front of the pond...
10:53 and put them all together and since there was no wind
10:56 and I started my first southern Illinois fire...
10:59 actually Danny Shelton helped me with it,
11:01 and I had to stay there with a hose
11:03 to make sure it didn't go anywhere else,
11:04 because we wanted to make sure that the fire was contained.
11:07 When the Lord... when the Lord,
11:09 when the Lord allows His fire to be rained,
11:13 it's going to be contained,
11:15 we're going to see... it's going to be contained,
11:16 it's not going to affect the righteous,
11:18 and the fire that we're talking about tonight...
11:21 we'll get a clear understanding of that,
11:22 the fire that comes down...
11:24 comes down at the end of the 1,000 years,
11:27 while the saints are here...
11:30 we'll find out about that more tonight,
11:31 but, let's go ahead and look at one more text,
11:35 go with me to 2nd Peter chapter 3,
11:38 2nd Peter chapter 3, all right,
11:42 and we are going to look at verse 9 and 10.
11:46 Pause...
11:49 Well, actually verse 8
11:50 because very few places in the Bible do you hear this phrase,
11:54 1,000 years...
11:55 but these are two of the places in the Bible that you find it,
11:58 in Revelation chapter 20
11:59 and in 2nd Peter chapter 3 verse 9...
12:03 verse 8 down to verse 10.
12:05 It's the only other place you find 1,000 years as a phrase.
12:08 Look at what it says in verse 8,
12:10 "But Beloved, do not forget this one thing,
12:14 that with the Lord one day is as a... " what?
12:17 "thousand years
12:19 and a thousand years is as one day. "
12:21 Now, the reason I brought this up
12:23 is because... do you think that Jesus needs time?
12:25 No He doesn't... He's eternal.
12:28 so, the 1,000 years is not for God's sake
12:31 but the 1,000 years is for the sake of the saints...
12:34 He said He was going to take them to the kingdom,
12:36 they're going to spend a 1,000 years in heaven
12:39 before they return back to the earth.
12:42 So, Jesus is coming back the first time for His saints
12:47 and the next time He's coming back... with His saints.
12:50 If you get that mixed up,
12:52 you'll think that there's going to be a rapture of souls
12:54 coming back from heaven.
12:55 Don't ever get that mixed up.
12:57 He's coming the first time... say it with me...
12:59 "for His saints... "
13:01 the next time... with His saints.
13:03 The beginning of the 1,000 years... for the saints...
13:06 at the end of the 1,000 years, with the saints.
13:10 But look at the rest of the verse... verse 9 and verse 10,
13:12 most important...
13:14 so that you can understand
13:15 God is not just rubbing His hands
13:17 waiting to destroy folk.
13:18 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise,
13:21 as some count slackness, but is... " together...
13:24 "longsuffering toward us,
13:27 not willing that any should perish
13:30 but that all should come to repentance.
13:34 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night,
13:37 in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise... "
13:40 and it will be sudden but it won't be silent...
13:43 "and the elements will melt with fervent heat;
13:46 both the earth and the works that are therein... "
13:48 shall be what? "Burned up. "
13:50 Loud... affecting the earth... and a great fire...
13:54 but the fire that will destroy and annihilate the wicked
13:58 happens at the end of the 1,000 years.
14:00 So, let's begin tonight with Question number 14...
14:04 with Question Number 14...
14:06 I'll just go ahead and speed up here,
14:08 for my own sake... I kind of outlined here...
14:11 and I've covered quite a few of these
14:13 but I'm just going to scoot forward to Question number 14
14:15 and here it is, okay,
14:17 "What are the saints assigned to do during the Millennium?"
14:26 Let's go to Revelation chapter 20 and verse 4,
14:29 Revelation chapter 20 and verse 4,
14:35 see, right now, we don't know who's going to make it
14:40 and who's not going to make it.
14:41 That's why it always amazes me that when people say
14:44 at a funeral, "They're in heaven now... "
14:47 I always... I want to sometimes stand up and say,
14:50 "Only Jesus decides that... "
14:53 see, we don't decide based on what we see on the outside,
14:56 we cannot decide who's going to be there
14:58 and who's not going to be there,
14:59 because God looks at the heart, man looks at the... what?
15:04 outward appearance.
15:06 So, God is the only One that makes that decision.
15:11 Revelation 20 and verse 4, here's what the Bible says,
15:14 "I saw thrones, and they sat on them,
15:18 and judgment was committed to them.
15:20 Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded
15:24 for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God,
15:27 who had not worshiped the beast or his image,
15:30 and had not received his mark on their foreheads
15:33 or on their hands.
15:35 And they lived and reigned with Christ... " how long?
15:38 "a thousand years. "
15:39 So, the only other place you find a 1,000 years
15:41 is in 2nd Peter chapter 3 and verse 8.
15:43 God does not need the time... the time is for the saints.
15:47 they will be living and reigning with Christ a thousand years
15:50 and I tell you, we've only been alive
15:51 some of us... 30 years... 40 years...
15:53 20 years... 15 years...
15:54 wouldn't you... wouldn't you love being in heaven
15:56 for a thousand years?
15:58 Audience: Amen.
15:59 What do you do for a 1,000 years?
16:00 Oh man! let's not start putting the list together,
16:04 because our list is going to fall far short of what we see
16:06 with our own eyes.
16:08 Because eyes have not seen...
16:10 see, usually, when you're planning to go somewhere,
16:13 you get on the internet... if it's vacation...
16:15 you kind of find out what all the amenities are,
16:18 what all the amusements are,
16:20 what you can do when you get there,
16:22 and you kind of plan...
16:23 "Okay, on Monday, we're going to go fishing...
16:25 Tuesday, we're going to go on the rides...
16:26 Wednesday, we're going to go on a long bike ride
16:30 or walk on the... or on the pond... "
16:32 but... but in this case, we haven't been there
16:35 so, whatever you plan on doing when you get there,
16:39 believe me, your list is going to change drastically.
16:42 I would suggest that the moment you get in, you'll say,
16:45 "Forget the list... "
16:48 because you will...
16:51 you will literally be enraptured in a state of...
16:53 and I think one of the reasons
16:55 why we're going to need immortality...
16:56 I think one of the reasons why we need to be immortal
16:59 before we can go there
17:01 is because, some people will drop dead
17:03 at the sight of the glories of heaven,
17:05 can you hear that?
17:06 Because people get overwhelmed.
17:08 People faint... people get overwhelmed
17:11 at things that they have not experienced before,
17:14 God is going to have to give us eternal life
17:17 because we will pass out or pass away
17:20 at the glory and the amazement
17:22 of what God reveals to those that love Him.
17:24 You got to think about that sometimes.
17:27 What I like about Revelation is, it often says,
17:29 "I, John, saw... " it's personal.
17:33 You get that on Tuesday.
17:34 Audience: Laughter.
17:36 Okay the answer to Number 14.8 is,
17:39 "What are the saints assigned to do during the judgment?"
17:41 What do we put down?
17:43 Participate in the judgment.
17:45 They'll participate in the judgment.
17:46 Question number 4, Revelation 20 and verse 4,
17:51 now, let's look at another one,
17:53 1st Corinthians chapter 6 and verse 2,
17:55 "They will participate in the judgment. "
17:56 In other words,
17:58 they'll see that the decisions that the Lord has made
18:01 have been just and fair.
18:02 They'll see that whoever is there,
18:05 deserves to be there,
18:08 but actually, none of us really deserve to be there...
18:12 we're all there by the... by the righteousness of Christ,
18:15 am I right?
18:17 we all make it based on His goodness
18:18 not on our goodness.
18:20 What else will the saints do?
18:21 1st Corinthians 6 and verse 2,
18:23 the Bible reads,
18:25 "Do you not know that the saints will judge the world?
18:27 And if the world will be judged by you,
18:31 are you not unworthy to judge the smallest matters?"
18:35 So, will the saints judge the world?
18:38 Yeah, the saints are going to be participating
18:41 in the great white-throne judgment,
18:43 you see, the great white-throne judgment
18:45 takes place at the end of the 1,000 years...
18:47 we'll see that in just a moment...
18:48 and by the way, that is the only time in history...
18:52 think about that... that is the only time in history
18:55 when everyone who has ever been alive
18:58 will be in one group or the other.
19:01 From Adam, all the way to the whoever that last person is,
19:06 everybody who has ever been alive,
19:09 will be alive at the end of the 1,000 years.
19:12 Wow! so, put that again, the judgment,
19:15 what are the saints assigned to do?
19:19 Involved... judging the world exactly...
19:22 and one more text,
19:23 and one more text...
19:25 1st Corinthians 6 verse 2,
19:28 and one more text,
19:29 Revelation chapter 20 verse 12 to verse 13,
19:34 all right,
19:36 all right, let me just go there, Revelation chapter 20
19:41 verse 12 and verse 13, here it is,
19:45 "I saw the dead, small and... "
19:49 let's read that together, "I saw the dead... " what?
19:51 "small and great, standing before God,
19:55 and books were opened.
19:58 And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life.
20:02 And the dead were... " what?
20:04 "judged according to their works,
20:07 by the things which were... " what?
20:09 written in the books.
20:11 The sea gave up the dead who were in them... "
20:15 keep reading...
20:16 "and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them.
20:20 And they were judged, each one according to his works. "
20:25 Now, get that,
20:26 there was not a general same declaration about...
20:30 each one was judged according to his works.
20:35 So, depending on the crime, thus, the punishment.
20:39 This is something that a lot of people don't get,
20:42 that's why the whole idea of eternally burning hell
20:45 is completely out of context with the character of God.
20:48 Eternally burning hell means
20:50 everybody gets the same judgment.
20:52 Pause...
20:54 anywhere from the...
20:55 I don't want to assign anybody to hell
20:57 so I won't make the statement but...
20:59 I heard a story of a gentleman who was in court...
21:01 yesterday or today, I think it was...
21:03 and he was there for a crime he had committed...
21:06 some murders he'd participated in
21:08 and he took a pencil and lunged toward the witness
21:11 to try to stab the witness,
21:13 and they yelled, "Stop"
21:14 and he was continuing trying to get to the witness...
21:17 the defendant...
21:18 and they unleashed three bullets and killed him there in court,
21:21 right in his... right at his trial...
21:24 and the News Reporter said,
21:26 "His judgment has just started... "
21:30 and I'm thinking, "He doesn't even have a clue
21:32 about what he just said... "
21:34 because the Bible says,
21:36 "It is the point that when a man...
21:37 it is a point that if the man wants to die
21:38 and after that the... " what?
21:40 Audience: The judgment.
21:41 That means, your case is closed,
21:43 all the evidence has been compiled.
21:45 When you close your eyes in death,
21:47 all the evidence has been compiled,
21:50 what is not covered by the blood of the lamb
21:52 will come up against you in the judgment.
21:54 That's why when you go to bed at night...
21:56 I'm not saying that if you forget...
21:59 God is going to say, "Oh boy! I wish you had prayed,
22:02 if you had prayed last night,
22:04 you wouldn't be in the judgment on the wrong side.
22:06 see, because God looks at the trend of your life,
22:08 not by one deed or by one misdeed,
22:11 so, don't think that you're saved one day and lost the other
22:14 and saved one... and lost the other...
22:15 but at the same time,
22:17 don't live like you're lost today and saved tomorrow
22:20 and you get... some people get saved on sunset on Friday,
22:23 and go back to "lost" category on sunset on Saturday
22:26 because they live for the weekend.
22:29 We've got to live our lives for Christ how often?
22:32 every day... Paul says, "I die daily. "
22:35 Live... live for the eternal aspects,
22:39 live for Christ,
22:40 not once in a while but every day.
22:43 Very important...
22:45 but, let's look at the last... I think we just did that.
22:48 so, so, Revelation 20 verse 12 and 13 points out
22:52 each one will be judged according to his works.
22:57 Each one judged according to his works.
23:00 Not a general judgment.
23:02 It's not just going to be a, "Okay, everybody in the furnace"
23:05 as morbid as that sounds,
23:07 it just kind of... it's the idea that many people push on Christ
23:12 that make Him look like this guy that just can't wait
23:15 to burn people up.
23:16 That's why we saw this movie
23:22 "Edward Fudge and... and... "
23:28 "Hell and Mr. Fudge"
23:32 get that video... "Hell and Mr. Fudge"
23:35 a wonderful documentary on how a Christian young man
23:39 discovered the truth about what the Bible teaches about hell
23:43 he believed differently and now he's traveling the world
23:46 Edward William Fudge...
23:48 that book called, "The Fire that Consumes. "
23:51 Powerful story... how it vindicates the character of God.
23:55 You see, what a lot of people don't realize
23:56 is, everything the Bible teaches is about the character of God.
23:59 Right?
24:01 Everything we do is about our character, isn't it?
24:04 Sometimes you do something and somebody says,
24:06 "Either that's out of your character
24:08 or you've been hiding all this time. "
24:09 Right...
24:11 we should live in harmony with the character of God.
24:14 Look at question number 15, question number 15...
24:18 here it is...
24:20 "What event describes or describes
24:24 the end of the Millennium?"
24:26 The end of the Millennium...
24:28 Start by going to Revelation chapter 20...
24:34 Revelation chapter 20 verse 7 and verse 8.
24:38 There's one passage I didn't put in here
24:43 but I included it in the new page
24:46 that was downloaded from the internet
24:48 and I.. I felt we needed that
24:51 so that people could adequately outline the beginning...
24:54 during...
24:55 and at the end of the Millennium... what happens then,
24:58 Revelation chapter 20 beginning with verse 7 and 8,
25:00 "What events describe the end of the Millennium?"
25:02 Here is the first verse,
25:03 "Now when the thousand years have expired... " or finished...
25:09 "Satan will be released from his prison
25:13 and will go out to deceive the nations
25:16 which are in the four corners of the earth,
25:19 Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle,
25:25 whose number is as the sand of the sea. "
25:30 And it goes on...
25:32 well, I'm going to go to the next verse in just a moment,
25:35 we'll hold on to that one,
25:36 I'm going to go to verse 9 and 10 in just a moment
25:38 but let's look at verse 7 and 8,
25:40 so, at the end of the 1,000 years,
25:42 what's the event that is going to begin
25:46 the end of the thousand years?
25:48 Pause...
25:49 say it again...
25:50 Satan is released from his prison.
25:54 Now, we've got to get this really carefully
25:56 because you have to understand what actually happens
25:59 to release Him from his prison.
26:03 We talked about this earlier but I think it fits right here,
26:06 look at Revelation chapter 20,
26:07 since you're already there, Revelation chapter 20
26:12 and I want you to look at verse 5,
26:15 Revelation chapter 20 and verse 5.
26:19 We talked about that if we had continued,
26:21 we could see the context of it
26:23 but if you missed the last lesson,
26:24 this is the context of it
26:26 because those who were dead in Christ
26:28 rose when Jesus came,
26:29 right, remember that?
26:30 But there was another group,
26:32 look at verse 5,
26:33 "But the rest of the dead did not live again
26:37 until the thousand years were finished. "
26:40 So the one talked about in verse 4... the Bible says,
26:43 "This is the first resurrection"
26:45 so the ones that are in heaven with Christ...
26:47 that's the first resurrection,
26:48 but the rest of the dead do not live again
26:50 until the 1,000 years are finished.
26:52 Now, I want to make this very, very clear,
26:53 because we've got to expunge the idea
26:56 that there are people alive on the earth.
26:59 Did you get that?
27:01 If the living saints are in heaven
27:04 which they ascended when Jesus came,
27:07 the Bible says in 1st Thessalonians chapter 4
27:09 verses 13 to 18,
27:11 "The dead in Christ rise first
27:13 then we which are alive and remain
27:15 shall be caught up... " how?
27:16 "Together with them in the clouds... " to do what?
27:19 "To meet the Lord in the air
27:21 and thus we shall always be with the Lord. "
27:24 Get that now, if the righteous are caught up
27:27 which they are...
27:28 to meet the Lord and to go home with Him,
27:30 there's another group that didn't even do anything yet
27:35 and that's why this verse says,
27:36 "What about the other group?"
27:38 Oh, they don't live again until the 1,000 years are finished,
27:43 they don't live again
27:46 so they're not alive
27:49 we got to get this... because somehow...
27:51 somebody may be watching the program that says,
27:54 "What about the Millennial reign on earth?"
27:57 There is no Millennial reign on earth
27:59 that's Dispensationalism,
28:01 let's just shorten that, that's "Sationalism. "
28:04 That's Sensationalism...
28:06 that's not true...
28:07 that was a part of the whole "Rapture" idea...
28:10 that carried on through from the...
28:12 from the people getting snatched away
28:14 to the Jews converting the world...
28:16 to then the other opportunity to get saved
28:20 and the earthly Millennial reign...
28:22 and there are many sincere Christians today
28:24 that for some reason believe
28:26 they got to get the whole world fixed up
28:28 we got to keep our alliance and our allegiance
28:30 with the Jews in the Middle East...
28:32 we got to make sure that we get that ready
28:35 and reinstitute the sacrificial system...
28:36 it's amazing what goes on now-a-days
28:38 and what's actually taught.
28:39 We got the world ready for Jesus to come back
28:41 and you have now-a-days,
28:43 the New-Agers are looking for their god...
28:45 Jews are looking for the Messiah...
28:47 let's keep going down the list,
28:49 some group is looking for somebody to show up...
28:53 Evangelicals are looking for Jesus to come
28:55 and walk the earth again,
28:56 it's not going to happen,
28:58 He's going to wait for us in the air...
29:00 can somebody say "Amen" to that?
29:02 Audience: Amen.
29:03 He's not coming to hang out with us...
29:05 we're going to live with Him.
29:06 He went to get things ready for us.
29:09 The kingdom was ready... I was just kind of giving you...
29:14 I was giving you the... the question...
29:17 I gave you the question earlier
29:18 and why was this the kingdom prepared
29:21 from the foundation of the world?
29:23 Because from the very beginning...
29:26 wrap your head around this really briefly,
29:28 I want to give you a little new nugget tonight,
29:29 before Adam and Eve fell into sin,
29:32 the reason why God allowed the test to come to Adam and Eve...
29:36 is because what Paul the Apostle says in Roman 6 verse 23,
29:40 wasn't... wasn't true when Paul said it,
29:43 but it was always true, "The wages of sin is... " what?
29:47 "death...
29:48 but the gift of God is... " what? "eternal life... "
29:50 if they were to pass that test,
29:54 eternal life would have been theirs from the beginning
29:57 and then, they would have passed on that
30:01 to all their progenitors
30:03 to all of their... to all their posterity...
30:06 to all the people that would come from them.
30:09 They'll receive... generation to generation...
30:11 they would receive the very characters
30:14 that Adam and Eve would have maintained
30:17 and the kingdom which was heaven...
30:20 heaven was already there,
30:21 the only difference was,
30:23 Satan and his angels got kicked out...
30:24 the kingdom was already there,
30:26 so, what's the difference now?
30:28 what's the... what is He preparing?
30:30 What's He preparing?
30:32 You want to see it?
30:34 You want to see it? Okay, go with me to Revelation..
30:36 since you guys are sitting there with your eyes...
30:39 your eyes are falling all over the place,
30:40 okay, ah... oooh... I tell you...
30:44 okay, let's go to... huh...
30:49 there's so many...
30:51 okay, "Blessed are the dead... " here it is...
30:53 go to Revelation chapter 16...
30:56 pause...
31:01 actually Revelation chapter 19, this is the one...
31:04 Revelation chapter 19...
31:06 there are seven blessings in Revelation
31:08 that most people don't see,
31:10 but there's a blessing that God... there's a blessing...
31:13 Revelation chapter 19, look at verse 7...
31:17 we're going to go to verse 9,
31:18 all right, "Let us be glad and rejoice
31:23 and give Him glory, for the...
31:27 for the... " say the word, "for the...
31:31 marriage of the Lamb has come,
31:33 and His wife has made herself ready. "
31:36 Okay, why wait for the... if the kingdom is already there,
31:41 what's getting ready?
31:42 What's... what's being prepared?
31:44 Come on, say it again, "The Wedding... "
31:48 The Wedding...
31:50 The Wedding,
31:51 this bride that fell away...
31:53 there's going to be an eternal wedding.
31:56 He's gonna...
31:57 He's going to declare before the world,
32:00 "This is my bride... here she is...
32:03 the redeemed host of all the ages...
32:05 this is my bride...
32:07 this is my bride.
32:09 Now, we know the New Jerusalem is declared to be the bride
32:13 as Revelation says clearly
32:14 but what good is the city without people living in it?
32:17 So, when the kingdom is delivered to the Lord,
32:20 let's look further on...
32:22 look what it says in verse 8:
32:23 And to her was granted to be arrayed in fine linen,
32:27 clean and bright,
32:29 for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
32:33 Then he said to me, "Write... "
32:35 Here's been what's getting ready...
32:37 "Blessed are those who are called to the... " what?
32:40 "marriage supper of the Lamb!"
32:43 And he said to me,
32:44 'These are the true sayings of God. '"
32:48 We are all invited to not only the wedding
32:51 but the marriage supper.
32:52 Not too long ago, Mike and Celestine...
32:56 you know... ah... declared their love of...
33:00 after 15 years they re-dedicated their hearts to each other
33:03 in marriage and we had some great food...
33:06 Filipino food to be exact
33:08 it was good... but there was a ceremony
33:11 and there was a supper...
33:12 so, the Lord is preparing a great banquet feast
33:15 for all of the saints of all the ages, amen to that.
33:18 Audience: Amen.
33:19 And what a feast it's going to be...
33:20 let's not focus on the food...
33:22 because we don't even know what's it's going to be...
33:24 I doubt we've eaten anything like what's going to be there
33:29 but this is the... this is the unification...
33:34 this is what Jesus had longed for,
33:37 He longed to bring His people home.
33:40 He longed... He built the city
33:43 but there's no one... the redeemed are not in there yet
33:48 and that day when He brings His glorious church back,
33:52 He's coming back for a church without spot or without wrinkle
33:57 or without any such thing kind of...
33:59 that's the picture of a bride.
34:01 Can you imagine a bride on the wedding day
34:03 with spots and wrinkles all over her dress?
34:05 "Are you getting married today?
34:06 Did you eat on the way here?"
34:08 Audience: Laughter.
34:10 No, without spot... no sin or wrinkle...
34:12 no unrighteousness nor any such thing.
34:15 What is He getting ready?
34:17 The beautiful marriage supper of the Lamb.
34:20 That's why... what do you need to get ready for that?
34:22 You have to have on the righteousness of Christ.
34:25 You have to have on that garment,
34:26 "Blessed is he that keepeth his garment,
34:28 lest he walk naked and they see his shame. "
34:31 Revelation chapter 16 verse 15,
34:33 "Behold, I come as a thief.
34:35 Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments,
34:37 lest he walks naked and they see his shame. "
34:40 You won't get into the marriage feast
34:42 without the righteousness of Jesus, amen.
34:44 Audience: Amen.
34:45 So, the answer to question number 15 verses 7 and 8...
34:48 "What event describes the end of the Millennium?"
34:51 Satan is loosed from his prison
34:55 and how was he loosed?
34:57 You see the earth... we discovered earlier,
35:00 the earth was empty...
35:01 the saints left...
35:02 all those who were here were destroyed
35:04 by the brightness of the coming of Christ
35:06 and the cities were broken down,
35:08 Jeremiah chapter 4 verse 23 to 26,
35:11 the cities were broken down... there was no one here...
35:13 the birds had fled... there was no man.
35:15 Yet, the Lord said in Jeremiah chapter 20...
35:17 chapter 4 verse 26,
35:19 "Yet will I not make a full end"
35:21 you know why?
35:23 Because the full end is going to come
35:24 at the end of the 1,000 years,
35:26 that's just the condition it's going to be in for a 1,000 years
35:29 and Satan and his angels will be bound here for a 1,000 years
35:32 with no one to tempt.
35:34 That's the binding...
35:37 "bound by a chain of circumstances. "
35:42 Amen for that...
35:44 now, look at verse 9 and 10,
35:45 verses 9 and 10...
35:47 okay, here it is...
35:49 here it is on the screen, and the Bible says,
35:52 "They went up on the breadth of the earth
35:56 and surrounded the camp of the saints
36:00 and the beloved city.
36:02 And fire came down from God out of heaven
36:05 and did... " what?
36:07 "and devoured them.
36:08 The devil, who deceived them,
36:10 was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone
36:13 where the beast and the false prophet are.
36:17 And they will be tormented day and night for... " how long?
36:20 "forever and forever. "
36:23 Now, we're going to explain that in just a moment here
36:26 so, don't get nervous
36:28 because we just said a moment ago
36:30 that the gift of God is eternal life.
36:32 The gift of God is eternal life to who?
36:35 to the wicked or the righteous?
36:36 To the righteous...
36:38 so, you cannot burn forever, if you cannot live forever.
36:42 You've got to have eternal life to burn eternally
36:47 and only God is the One
36:51 who's going to be granting eternal life
36:53 and by-the-way, just in case there's any mix up
36:56 about who gets eternal life,
36:57 go to 1st Corinthians chapter 15,
36:59 very quickly, 1st Corinthians chapter 15,
37:02 Paul already says in Timothy
37:05 that the only one that possesses immortality is... is Jesus,
37:12 okay, and I'll give you that in a moment
37:15 but... first... what did I say?
37:18 1st Corinthians chapter 15... I did say that...
37:22 and I'm almost there... hold on...
37:24 for those of you who are fast, here I am...
37:28 1st Corinthians chapter 15 and we're going to look together
37:31 at verse 51, notice this,
37:33 notice this...
37:35 all right...
37:37 something's going to happen at the beginning of the 1,000 years
37:40 that only happens to the righteous,
37:43 now, keep this in mind... this only happens to the righteous.
37:47 All right.
37:48 "Behold, I tell you a mystery... "
37:49 or show you a mystery,
37:51 "We shall not all sleep... " that is... die...
37:53 "but we shall all be changed... "
37:55 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,
37:58 at the last... " what? "trumpet.
38:00 For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised... "
38:04 how? "incorruptible,
38:06 and we shall be changed. "
38:09 Now, how are we going to be changed?
38:11 This only happens to the righteous.
38:13 "For this corruptible must put on... " what?
38:16 "incorruption,
38:18 and this mortal must put on... " what?
38:22 "immortality. "
38:23 So, just pause for a moment, let me ask you the question,
38:26 do we have immortality now?
38:29 Audience: No.
38:31 When do we put it on?
38:32 Give me the Scripture... give me the words...
38:36 when do we put it on?
38:38 At the last trumpet.
38:39 When that last trumpet sounds, we put on immortality
38:44 which means, we don't have it now,
38:46 which means the wicked don't have it
38:48 and the wicked will never get it
38:50 so the wicked can't live... they don't have immortality
38:53 which is eternal life
38:55 that's why John 3:16... the text that we all know so well
38:58 "that whosoever believeth in Him,
39:02 should not perish but have everlasting life. "
39:08 One perishes... the other one has everlasting life,
39:13 but let's finish,
39:14 verse 54,
39:16 "So when this corruptible has put on incorruption,
39:19 and this mortal has put on immortality,
39:22 then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written:
39:26 'Death is swallowed up in victory. '"
39:29 Very quickly now, 1st Timothy chapter 6...
39:31 just so we can make this very clear
39:33 because there are some people that still believe...
39:35 I don't know what it is...
39:37 I think the single word I could use is "Deception. "
39:39 See, some people have been told the untruth for so long...
39:44 when I was being raised, my mother used to say,
39:46 "Never use the word 'lie'"
39:48 and I... so when... it's a...
39:50 "Lie" is a strong word...
39:51 "Untruth" sounds a little kinder...
39:53 some people have been lied to for so long...
39:58 that... that when you tell them the truth,
40:02 it sounds hard to receive.
40:04 I don't know why some Christian pastors
40:07 want people to burn forever and ever
40:10 and when you try to say, "No, they won't... "
40:12 "Yes, they will... "
40:14 "No they won't... "
40:15 "Yes, they will... "
40:16 and I always ask this question, "Where are they going to burn?
40:19 show me where... "
40:21 Ain't going to be in Kansas,
40:23 not going to be in New York,
40:25 it's not going to be down in Trinidad in the big Pitch Lake
40:29 it's not going to be in the Yellowstone Park
40:31 that finally erupts...
40:33 because the earth is going to be the ball of fire
40:36 and when the fire goes out,
40:38 the Lord will re-create a new heaven and a new earth.
40:42 But look at 1st Timothy 6 and verse 16,
40:45 just so we can be very clear... verse 14 starts with this...
40:49 it says... verse 14...
40:52 "that you keep this commandment without spot,
40:55 blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing,
40:59 which He will manifest in His own time,
41:03 He who is the blessed and only Potentate... "
41:07 that is Sovereign...
41:09 "the King of kings and Lord of lords,
41:13 who alone has immortality,
41:16 dwelling in unapproachable light,
41:20 whom no man has seen or can see,
41:25 to Him be honor and everlasting power. "
41:27 Just last week a movie was released...
41:29 "Heaven is for Real"
41:31 is heaven for real?
41:33 Audience: Yes.
41:35 But that little kid didn't go to heaven.
41:36 No man has seen or can see...
41:43 he dwells in a light...
41:45 and as the King James Version says,
41:46 "which no man can approach unto... "
41:48 is that... is that how it says it?
41:50 "which no man can approach unto... "
41:52 is that how the King James Version says it?
41:54 "Which no man can approach unto...
41:57 who no man has seen nor can see. "
42:00 Now, the reason why you can't approach it
42:01 is because until you're immortal,
42:03 you can't go into the presence of God.
42:05 Until you are immortal
42:07 and you don't become immortal at a car accident,
42:10 I'm... I'm not going to laugh...
42:12 you don't become immortal with a head wound...
42:14 you don't become immortal on an operating table...
42:17 you become immortal at the Second Coming
42:20 when Jesus transfers from Himself to His saints
42:26 who now are perfected in His character...
42:28 He puts immortality on His saints.
42:32 "Amen" someone...
42:34 Audience: Amen.
42:35 The devil has been really busy lately,
42:37 ABC has a new Series called, "The Resurrection"
42:40 people coming back from life...
42:42 kids have been dead 32 years...
42:44 a man died in an accident... plane crash... somebody drowned,
42:47 and all of a sudden, they're ringing doorbells
42:48 and coming back home...
42:50 and the people are scared out of their wits...
42:52 I... I haven't watched it...
42:53 I've seen the commercial and that's it
42:56 and then they all get together...
42:59 "Were we dead?"
43:01 If you were dead, you're still dead...
43:03 let me make this very clear,
43:04 if anybody rings your doorbell that you went to their funeral,
43:08 you'd better call on the name of Jesus
43:09 because that's an unclean spirit.
43:11 Audience: Amen.
43:13 That's the devil...
43:14 and he will show great signs and wonders
43:18 as Paul says, "With all deceivableness
43:22 of unrighteousness... "
43:24 but where is he going to work?
43:26 "Among them that perish... "
43:27 Why?
43:29 "Because they received not the love of the truth
43:31 that they might be saved. "
43:33 You see, when you don't accept the truth
43:34 that the dead are dead,
43:35 the devil can come to your house,
43:37 and you would think it's mamma or papa
43:38 or your little son that got killed in the car accident.
43:41 This is... I'm not going to laugh...
43:42 this is a very somber thought,
43:44 the devil is busy today and he wants people to think
43:47 that there's some alternate route to heaven
43:49 so, when Liberace died... he was in heaven...
43:51 that was a statement...
43:52 Sammy Davis, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin... the Rat Pak,
43:58 Michael Jackson's up there now...
43:59 that's what they say...
44:00 but that's not according to the Bible,
44:02 "amen" somebody,
44:03 Audience: Amen.
44:04 Get that clear, God has been so maligned
44:06 that the resurrection...
44:07 the teaching of the resurrection has been deleted
44:10 from the Bible.
44:11 So the devil decided...
44:13 since he got rid of what the resurrection actually teaches,
44:16 he's now introduced the resurrection in a lie.
44:19 You see what he's doing?
44:21 He's introduced the resurrection in ABC...
44:24 and because Christians don't read their Bibles anymore,
44:26 the moment somebody in Hollywood
44:28 comes out with a movie, that's their new doctrine.
44:30 "Noah"
44:33 "The Rapture" when it came out in the '90s...
44:36 "Left Behind"
44:38 what else?
44:39 The whole list goes on and on.
44:42 Let your Bible be the place where you find the truth
44:45 of God's word, "amen" somebody.
44:46 Audience: Amen.
44:47 Let's go to the next statement...
44:50 let's go to the next one,
44:52 Question number 16,
45:00 here it is...
45:01 "How do we know that Satan will not be tormented
45:06 without end?"
45:07 It's very important... very important...
45:09 "How do we know that Satan will not be tormented
45:12 without end?"
45:13 In other words, when the Bible says,
45:15 "Forever and ever and ever and ever... "
45:16 how do we know it's not going to be forever and ever and ever?
45:18 Let's start with these texts, Revelation chapter 20
45:22 verse 14 and verse 15, here it is,
45:24 Revelation chapter 20 verse 14 and verse 15.
45:28 Here's how the Bible communicates this truth.
45:32 "Then Death and Hades were cast into the... " what?
45:37 "lake of fire. This is the second death. "
45:41 This is the second... what?
45:43 death...
45:44 "And anyone not found written in the book of Life
45:49 was cast into the... " what?
45:51 "lake of fire. "
45:53 So now, let's pause a second,
45:55 this is called the "second death. "
45:59 Now, what's the first death?
46:01 First death was the funeral.
46:03 Second death is the Lake of Fire.
46:06 Why would it be called "death"
46:08 pause...
46:12 if it doesn't mean the end of life?
46:14 But now, let me...
46:17 let me go ahead and dive into the mind of the common teaching,
46:21 the devil has taught that the first death really wasn't death.
46:25 So, now he's got them to believe
46:27 that the second death is not really death...
46:28 did you get that?
46:30 You don't really die...
46:31 he told Eve, "You will not surely die... "
46:32 so what happens?
46:34 They die and go right to heaven
46:36 or they die and go right to hell?
46:37 Now, let's look at the ludicrous nature of this teaching.
46:40 If the second death is really eternal burning in hell,
46:43 and the first death for a wicked person means they went to hell,
46:47 what's the purpose of the judgment?
46:49 There's no purpose of the judgment.
46:52 If a wicked evil person... you can pick anybody's name,
46:57 I'm not going to do that, that's God's job...
46:58 if a wicked, evil, tyrant dictator
47:01 kills millions of people,
47:03 people will be glad to say, "He's in hell now. "
47:05 Right?
47:06 So, what's the purpose of the judgment?
47:08 A break?
47:10 "I've been burning for 142 years,
47:12 oh, I'm so glad for this break...
47:14 let's get some water
47:16 because when we go back in the next time,
47:18 it's going to be eternally. "
47:20 Now that sounds... that makes you want to laugh
47:22 but I'm not laughing,
47:24 because the devil has lied to so many people
47:25 that there are people that right now
47:27 tonight may be watching this program believe that somehow,
47:29 the wicked are in hell burning
47:31 and when the judgment comes, then all of a sudden
47:34 they look at the records and decide to judge them
47:37 according to their works
47:39 and put them back in the fire this time
47:41 for an undetermined period of time.
47:43 Let's take that to the extreme, Cain killed Abel,
47:47 are you telling me that Cain has been burning
47:51 ever since the dawn of creation?
47:53 that's what that belief says,
47:56 see what it does...
47:59 that the lie that death is not really death
48:02 Satan has led people to believe that
48:05 about the first death as well as the second death.
48:07 he's lied about both of the deaths.
48:09 The first one, you don't really die,
48:11 you go to heaven or hell,
48:12 and the second one, you don't really stop burning,
48:14 you just burn endlessly,
48:15 it's an attack on the character of God.
48:17 Isn't that right?
48:19 So, let's go to the... it's called the 2nd death...
48:21 put the answer down...
48:23 how do we know that Satan will not be tormented without end?
48:25 Revelation 20 verses 14 and 15, "The second death...
48:28 the second death... "
48:31 let's go to the next one, Ezekiel 28 verses 18 and 19,
48:35 this is about the devil himself,
48:39 this is what the Lord says about the devil himself.
48:42 Okay, I'm going to turn to Ezekiel
48:44 because I may want to add a few more things to that,
48:47 okay, I'm in Ezekiel now, okay...
48:50 Ezekiel... here we are...
48:52 all right... okay...
48:58 wow... hmmm...
49:00 it's amazing...
49:02 now, just to give the context before you bring the text up,
49:07 I'm going to read this verse, in Ezekiel 28 verse 14,
49:10 so we can be clear about who this is referring to.
49:12 Ezekiel 28 verse 14,
49:15 if you have your Bible, look at this verse 13 actually,
49:17 verse 12...
49:19 "Son of man, take up a lamentation
49:21 for the King of Tyre... "
49:22 the Lord calls him "the King of Tyre"
49:24 and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord God:
49:25 "You were the seal of perfection,
49:28 full of wisdom and perfect in... '" what?
49:30 "beauty. "
49:31 Verse 13, "You were in Eden, the garden of God;
49:34 every precious stone was your covering... "
49:37 verse 14...
49:38 you were the anointed cherub who covers...
49:43 I established you;
49:44 you were on the holy mountain of God;
49:47 you walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.
49:51 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created,
49:57 till iniquity was found in you. "
49:59 Who is the Lord talking about?
50:01 He's talking about Satan.
50:03 In this context... Lucifer...
50:05 "this is who you were
50:07 but now what's going to happen to you?"
50:09 Now, go down to the verses, here we are,
50:10 bring it up on the screen, here we are,
50:11 Ezekiel 20 verses 18 and 19, the Bible says,
50:14 "You defiled your sanctuaries
50:17 by the multitude of your iniquities... "
50:19 so sinful...
50:20 "by the iniquity of your trading... "
50:22 truth for error... light for darkness...
50:26 that's what that's all about...
50:27 "Therefore I brought fire from your midst;
50:31 it devoured you... "
50:34 this is the projection...
50:35 this is the prophecy...
50:36 "And it turned you to... " what? my Brothers and Sisters,
50:39 come on say it, it turned you into what?
50:41 "Ashes upon the earth
50:42 in the sight of all who saw you. "
50:44 All those that come forth in the second resurrection
50:47 will behold his destruction...
50:49 and it says, "All who knew you among the peoples
50:52 are astonished at you, you have become a horror,
50:55 and shall be no more... " for how long?
50:58 Come on, say it, "forever... "
50:59 now, get this... if the devil is going to be no more forever,
51:03 how are the people that he led into sin
51:06 going to be around forever?
51:08 Is that clear?
51:10 If he is not going to be around forever,
51:12 how are the ones he led into sin
51:15 going to be around forever?
51:16 Let's get this together, answer here...
51:18 "How do we know that the devil will not be tormented
51:20 without end?
51:21 "He shall be ashes and shall be no more forever... "
51:25 Ezekiel 28 verses 18 and 19,
51:27 But let's move right on to Malachi chapter 4,
51:29 Malachi chapter 4,
51:31 praise God for the truth of His Word, what do you say?
51:33 Audience: Amen.
51:35 I've got to speak like Mark Finley and David Asscherick
51:37 here we go, the next one...
51:39 Malachi chapter 4,
51:40 this is the day... this is the day, here it is...
51:44 "For behold, the day is coming,
51:46 Burning like an oven,
51:49 and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly
51:55 will be... " what? "Stubble.
51:58 And the day which is coming shall do... " what?
52:01 say it, "burn them up,
52:03 says the LORD of hosts... "
52:05 here it is... "That will leave them neither root nor branch.
52:11 You shall trample the wicked,
52:14 for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet
52:18 on the day that I do this," says the LORD of... what?
52:21 "hosts... "
52:23 now, get this...
52:24 Satan is ashes... the wicked are ashes...
52:27 now, look at the comparison,
52:29 they are the branches...
52:32 he is the root...
52:33 if a fire in the forest burns the branches,
52:38 there's still a chance for the tree to bud again, why?
52:41 Come on, quickly,
52:42 because the roots are still there,
52:44 but if the fire burns the roots and the branches,
52:47 will it come back? Come on, tell me...
52:49 No...
52:50 the fire that God will kindle is going to burn the root, Satan,
52:54 and the branches, the wicked...
52:56 no more budding...
52:59 let's go on...
53:01 Psalm 37... so the answer... "they shall be ashes...
53:06 they shall be ashes...
53:08 they shall be stubble...
53:10 they will be ashes under the soles of feet of the saints. "
53:13 That's so clear.
53:16 Psalm 37 verse 9 to 11, here's the other one,
53:21 here it is...
53:23 "For evildoers shall be cut off;
53:26 But those who wait on the LORD,
53:29 they shall... " what?
53:30 "inherit the earth. "
53:32 verse 10, "For yet a little while
53:36 and the wicked shall be... " come on tell me...
53:40 "no more; indeed,
53:42 indeed,
53:43 you will look carefully for his place,
53:47 but it shall be no more. "
53:49 Is that clear?
53:51 and Verse 11,
53:52 "But the meek shall inherit the earth,
53:55 and shall delight themselves in the... " together...
53:59 "abundance of peace. "
54:01 You know what that means?
54:03 That means, you can leave your doors unlocked,
54:05 come on, say "Amen" somebody...
54:07 that means, nobody is going to break into the house,
54:08 no more murder, no more crime, no more violence,
54:10 no more envy, no more hatred, no more...
54:12 I can't even keep going...
54:15 there's so much sin on this earth with so many descriptions
54:17 but the Lord will say, "You will look for... "
54:19 the devil won't be there...
54:21 the wicked won't be there...
54:22 and notice what it said,
54:24 he said, "You will look carefully"
54:25 I think the King James Version says,
54:27 "You will look diligently. "
54:29 You will look diligently...
54:30 somebody said, "You mean to tell me
54:34 there are no wicked people on earth anymore?"
54:36 Hallelujah somebody...
54:38 you mean to tell me the devil is not here anymore?
54:42 you mean to tell me we finally have eternal peace?
54:45 And the Bible says,
54:47 "The meek shall inherit the earth
54:49 and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
54:53 You know that word "abundance" means in this context,
54:56 it means: ever prevailing... it's everywhere...
55:00 wow! I'm not fired up, it just looks like that.
55:04 The answer is, "The wicked shall be no more...
55:08 his place shall be no more. "
55:10 You won't even be able to find where he is.
55:13 And our last text for tonight,
55:15 our last text for tonight,
55:17 and by-the-way, if you're watching the program,
55:18 I'm sure you are...
55:20 I put a third page together with all the Scriptures on it
55:24 of the events of the Millennium from the beginning...
55:27 during the Millennium...
55:29 and at the end
55:30 and we'll cover that the next time
55:32 because I want to go through that very quickly on the screen
55:34 so we could cap it all together
55:36 and I'll cover as much as I can tonight
55:37 but I may not be able to get to all of these things.
55:39 Here it is, Nahum 1:9, there's only one chapter
55:44 Nahum verse 9,
55:46 this is powerful...
55:48 oh, I tell you, huh,
55:50 look at it, look at what the Bible says,
55:54 God's Word stands sure forever and ever,
55:58 Nahum 1 verse 9,
56:00 what did I say, "Nahum" did I say "one"?
56:04 Nahum 1 verse 9, here it is,
56:06 "What do you conspire against the LORD?
56:11 He will make an utter end of it. "
56:17 And let's read this together,
56:19 come one, put some energy into this, together,
56:23 "Affliction will not rise up a second time. "
56:27 And all God's people said, "Amen. "
56:29 It will not rise up a second time.
56:31 It's not coming back,
56:33 it's not coming back.
56:34 It's the final blow.
56:36 It's the 15th round...
56:37 and Jesus is Lord of all, "amen" somebody.
56:39 There's no need for a new Savior,
56:42 there'll be no need for a new sacrifice,
56:44 there's be no need for a new lamb...
56:46 a new sacrificial system...
56:48 there'll be no need for a new cross,
56:50 because what Jesus has done...
56:51 as the writer of Hebrews said, "He was manifested
56:55 that He might destroy not only sin... but the devil. "
56:59 Not only sin... but the devil
57:03 and I will tell you...
57:05 what Jesus has been manifest to do,
57:08 He will complete it, can you say "amen" to that?
57:10 Audience: Amen.
57:12 He's the mighty conqueror, He's the mighty deliverer,
57:14 He's the King of kings, the Lord of lords,
57:16 He loses no battle
57:17 and that's why... and this it says...
57:19 "The devil has come down unto you having great wrath
57:23 because he knows that he has but a...
57:26 short time... "
57:28 That's clear...
57:29 so if you believe tonight that somehow hell is eternal,
57:33 oh, my Brother, my Sister, my Friend,
57:35 turn your life to Christ...
57:36 God is not that kind of God, He's the God of love,
57:39 He will destroy sin and sinners, that's a guarantee,
57:42 the hell that God speaks of in His Word
57:45 is hotter than the hell that many people teach...
57:48 it's not just going to burn you and tickle you and torment...
57:51 but it will bring sin to an utter end
57:54 so, tonight, trust God... study His Word
57:57 and whatever doesn't make sense,
57:59 one day will come into a sharper focus.
58:02 God bless you, let us pray.
