00:19 Hello, friends, welcome to another
00:20 Wednesday night Bible study here at A Sharper Focus. 00:23 Thank you so much for tuning in. 00:25 We thank you for taking the time 00:27 to sit down with us to go through 00:28 the Word of God together. 00:30 And those of us who have gathered here in Thompsonville, 00:32 we'll like to welcome you with a hearty amen. 00:34 Amen! 00:36 Get your friends, your family, your Bible, your pens. 00:39 If you're joining us from a church, 00:40 we thank you for taking the time to join us 00:42 on this Wednesday night. 00:44 And the reason why the program is called A Sharper Focus 00:47 is because not everything is clearly understood. 00:49 But the more you study the Word of God, 00:51 like a camera 00:53 it eventually comes into A Sharper Focus. 00:55 Now we're gonna be continuing on the study of 00:58 "The Truth about the Millennium." 00:59 We'll talk about that in just a moment, 01:00 but before we do anything, 01:02 let's begin with a word of prayer. 01:04 Let's all bow our heads. 01:06 Heavenly Father, thank You for the opportunity 01:08 of opening Your Word. 01:09 We pray that not only that You open the pages of the book, 01:13 but that You open our hearts. 01:15 Tonight, Lord, send Your Holy Spirit 01:16 to be our teacher, 01:18 connect us across the globe and around the world. 01:21 And may we be united in understanding 01:24 the truth as it is in Jesus. 01:26 In Your precious name we pray. 01:28 Amen. 01:30 Now, we're gonna sing our theme song. 01:31 But before we do that, 01:32 let me tell you how to get a copy of the lesson tonight. 01:35 Go to the website asf.3abn.org, 01:40 download on the study tab, download lesson number 25, 01:45 The Truth about the Millennium. 01:46 The Truth about the Millennium. 01:48 Now we began on this topic last time, 01:51 and we're gonna continue tonight 01:53 on question number eight. 01:54 But before we do that, 01:55 we're gonna have our theme song. 01:57 Are you ready to sing? Amen. 01:58 Let's sing our theme song "Victory in Jesus." 02:10 I heard an old, old story 02:13 How the Savior came from glory 02:17 How He gave His life on Calvary 02:21 To save a wretch like me 02:25 I heard about His groaning 02:29 Of His precious blood's atoning 02:32 Then I repented of my sin 02:36 And won the victory. 02:39 Together. 02:40 O victory in Jesus 02:44 My Savior forever 02:47 He sought me and bought me 02:51 With His redeeming blood 02:55 He loved me ere I knew Him 02:59 And all my love is due Him 03:02 He plunged me to victory 03:06 Beneath the cleansing flood 03:10 I heard about a mansion 03:14 He has built for me in glory 03:18 And I heard about the streets of gold 03:21 Beyond the crystal sea 03:25 About the angels singing 03:29 And the old redemption story 03:33 And some sweet day I'll sing up there 03:37 The song of victory 03:39 Key change. 03:41 O victory in Jesus 03:44 My Savior forever 03:48 He sought me and bought me 03:52 With His redeeming blood 03:55 He loved me ere I knew Him 03:59 And all my love is due Him 04:03 He plunged me to victory 04:07 Beneath the cleansing flood 04:11 He plunged me to victory 04:14 Beneath the cleansing flood! 04:21 Amen. Amen. 04:22 That song has become a popular song 04:24 everywhere we've gone. 04:26 Matter of fact, earlier, latter part of last year 04:28 when we were in New York City, in Brooklyn, 04:30 there to do an evangelistic series 04:33 like a reaping series on the hills of NY 13. 04:37 Their theme song was "Victory in Jesus." 04:39 And it so happened that night when they began the meeting, 04:43 it was at the Bethel Seventh-day Adventist Church. 04:46 That night when they began the meeting, 04:48 they said, "Let's sing the song 'Victory in Jesus.'" 04:50 And somebody said, "Do you have the words?" 04:53 Somebody said, "Does anyone have the words?" 04:55 And I had on my laptop, 04:56 I just clicked it and there was on the screen. 04:58 So thank you for joining us 05:00 and thank you for praying for us 05:01 on this particular program, 05:03 and everything you do for the cause of Christ 05:05 and for this ministry is greatly appreciated. 05:08 Now the topic The Truth about the Millennium. 05:11 The Truth about the Millennium. 05:14 First of all, the word millennium 05:15 is not in the Bible, but it means mille annum. 05:19 Mille annum 1000 years, 05:23 annum from which we get the word 05:24 anniversary or annual, from that Latin word annum. 05:28 Now the Bible talks about 1000-year period. 05:31 Now when we began this topic, we talked about the things 05:34 that are going to begin the 1000-year period. 05:37 What great event... 05:38 Put on your caps tonight. 05:40 What great event is going to begin 05:41 the 1000-year period, 05:42 something we've waited for a long time. 05:45 The Second Coming of Jesus. 05:48 The Second Coming of Jesus. 05:50 Now the reason why it's important to understand 05:51 the topic of the millennium is this. 05:54 There are many inaccurate views. 05:57 I want to say... 05:58 Sometimes I get enthusiastic and say there are many lives, 06:01 but sometimes I'd like, I need to be very diplomatic 06:04 and very orthodox in my words. 06:06 There are many misconceptions about the 1000 years. 06:09 Amen. 06:11 What all entails there in most of the views 06:14 are that Jesus is going to reign on the Earth 06:18 during the 1000 years? 06:19 Well, I've got good news for you. 06:20 Jesus is not coming back to be with us. 06:23 He's coming back so that we could be with Him. 06:25 Go with me to John Chapter 14. 06:27 If you don't have a Bible, we have some in our, 06:29 our classroom upstairs, you can get copies of that. 06:31 But John Chapter 14. Look at the fulfillment. 06:34 Jesus made a powerful promise. 06:37 John Chapter 14, 06:38 and we all know this practically by heart. 06:41 It's one of those, 06:42 "Let not your heart be troubled" verses, 06:43 it's like kind of like the 2 John 3:16. 06:46 You know, John Chapter 14, John 3:16. 06:49 Notice the words of Jesus. 06:51 So this is vitally important 06:52 'cause there's maybe somebody watching the program 06:55 that may be of a persuasion or denomination 06:57 that is getting ready for Jesus to reign on the Earth. 07:01 Well, He's already had His Earthly reign. 07:03 He's already spent 07:05 three and a half years down here. 07:06 And I would guarantee you, 07:07 He doesn't want to spend any more time down here 07:09 based on the way 07:10 they treated Him the first time. 07:12 What do you say? 07:13 So after what they did to me the first time, 07:14 I am not coming back, not to be down here. 07:16 I'm coming back to take you where I am. 07:18 Here's the verses, 07:20 "Let not your heart be troubled, 07:22 you believe in God, believe also in Me." 07:24 That is you believe in the Lord, 07:27 My Father, believe also in Me the Son, 07:29 "In My Father's house are many mansions, 07:33 if it were not so, I would have told you. 07:36 I go to prepare a place for you." 07:39 I do what? 07:41 Go to prepare what? 07:42 Place. A place. 07:44 So if He left to prepare a place for us, 07:48 we are not preparing a place for Him. 07:51 He's preparing a place for us. 07:54 But the reason why there's so much preparation 07:56 in the world to correct the things in the Middle East 07:59 and to establish a moral society 08:01 and to correct all the ills of humanity. 08:03 You cannot pass enough legislation 08:06 to change the human heart. 08:09 He's going to prepare a place for us and get verse 4. 08:13 Well, verse 3, it continues. 08:16 "And if I go and prepare a place for you, 08:18 I will come again 08:21 and receive you to Myself that where I am," 08:25 present tense, 08:26 "there you may be also." 08:29 And then He says in verse 4, "And where I go you know, 08:34 and the way you know." 08:36 And Thomas said to the Lord, 08:38 "Well, how can we know the way." 08:40 And Jesus said him, "I am the way." 08:42 See, so the way of the Lord is in the sanctuary, 08:45 Exodus Chapter 25, 08:47 "The way of the Lord is in the sanctuary." 08:49 And you see clearly here the Lord is not coming back 08:54 for a fixed Earth. 08:56 He's coming back to get us out of here, 08:58 so He can refurbish it. 09:00 So He can clean it up, 09:02 so He can prepare it for His holy people 09:05 so that when sin is done, 09:07 there will be no more sin on the Earth. 09:09 Can you say amen to that? Amen. 09:11 And so the idea that 09:12 the world is in some kind of preparatory mode, 09:16 and we're trying to legislate 09:17 and fix things in the Middle East. 09:18 That's one of the reasons why 09:20 they've been working for millennium. 09:22 It almost seems like millennia for decades. 09:24 And I would probably say more than 100 years 09:27 on trying to get peace in the Middle East. 09:31 There'll be no peace in the Middle East 09:33 without the Prince of Peace. 09:34 Amen. 09:36 So we talked about that. 09:37 We also talked about the fact that when Jesus comes back, 09:42 at the Second Coming, 09:43 there's going to be a resurrection. 09:45 Now if there gonna be two resurrections, 09:47 which resurrection is gonna happen 09:48 when Jesus comes back, the first or the second? 09:51 The first, and the Bible says in Revelation, 09:54 "Blessed and holy is He 09:55 who has part in the first resurrection 09:57 over such the second death has no power." 10:00 I wanna make this very clear. 10:02 There are two resurrections. How many resurrections? 10:04 Two. And how many deaths are there? 10:06 Two. 10:08 The first death is natural, everyone dies. 10:10 As in Adam, all die. 10:13 1 Corinthians 15:22. 10:15 But the second death is only for those 10:19 who will be wiped out of existence, 10:22 brought to the point of extinction. 10:24 Satan and his angels, 10:26 God prepared hell for the devil and his angels. 10:29 God did not prepare hell for those He created. 10:34 But unfortunately, the Bible says 10:36 the lost will be as the sands of the sea. 10:38 Many will not accept Christ 10:40 and share the fate of Satan and his angels. 10:43 But hell is not being prepared for those that God loves. 10:46 Hell has not been prepared 10:47 for anyone but the devil and his angels. 10:49 So what we're gonna do tonight is we're gonna go ahead 10:51 and give you the opportunity of 10:54 taking your time to go through questions number one to seven, 10:56 but tonight we're gonna begin with question number eight. 10:59 Just to go ahead and dispel this idea 11:01 that when Jesus comes back if you are not ready, 11:04 there is a second chance. 11:05 There is no second chance, the time to get ready is when? 11:07 Now. 11:09 Now, that's why He says, 11:11 "Learn the parable of the fig tree." 11:14 If you see its leaves begin to be tender 11:16 and put forth shoots, little flowers, 11:19 like right now it's spring. 11:21 Actually, we don't know what it is right now 11:24 because one minute it's spring, next minute it's snowing, 11:27 it's cold outside today and what's gonna be tomorrow, 11:29 only God knows 11:31 what's gonna happen in the Midwest. 11:32 But it was 27 degrees down in Nashville a few days ago, 11:35 was snowing up in the northeast. 11:38 The season is supposed to be spring, 11:40 but the flowers kind of all react together. 11:45 When the spring begins to come right now, 11:47 3ABNs driveway is lined 11:49 and the trees are all budded 11:50 with little beautiful white flowers. 11:52 Have you seen that? 11:53 There's only a small space of time to take those pictures 11:56 because in just a few more days 11:58 it start turning a different color 11:59 and then you don't see that until the very next year. 12:01 So the Lord says, 12:03 "When you begin to see these things begin to bud, 12:05 know that the summer is coming." 12:07 And the very same way when you see 12:09 wars and rumors of wars 12:10 and all the signs of the coming of the Lord, 12:12 know that the end is near. 12:14 So he says, 12:15 if you see all these things happening, 12:18 you know that the end is coming. 12:20 Get ready. 12:21 What word he say? 12:23 Get ready. 12:24 So can people, can the unsaved 12:28 still be saved at the Second Coming of Christ? 12:30 Let's go, begin with question number eight. 12:32 And go with me to the Book of Revelation Chapter 22. 12:36 Revelation Chapter 22. 12:37 I'm still getting over a cold, 12:40 bronchitis I had really bad last week. 12:43 And I'm gonna pray that 12:45 I won't get into a coughing fit. 12:48 But, 12:50 you know, I'm glad you brought that up, my wife. 12:52 My wife is tuned in spiritually because right now... 13:00 I saw a recent article, was also on the news. 13:04 The Pope Francis said 13:06 that atheists can even, even atheists can be saved, 13:10 not by accepting Jesus, but by doing good works. 13:15 And I thought to myself, 13:16 I thought they didn't believe in salvation by works anymore. 13:20 An atheist and I went to the Huffington Post 13:23 to see whether or not this was so. 13:25 And yes, in the Huffington Post is a video they uploaded 13:27 in this actual interview. 13:29 And one person said, 13:31 "Well, 13:33 even atheists can be saved if they just do good works." 13:37 And one of the interviewers said, 13:39 "Are you serious? 13:40 I mean, really, are you serious?" 13:42 And then the other person said, 13:43 "Well, doesn't that make the church more appealing?" 13:46 And I'm trying to be vague, but I got to be very candid. 13:49 Doesn't that make the Catholic Church 13:50 sound more appealing, 13:51 if even atheists can be saved by just doing good works? 13:54 And he said, "Really, really?" 13:55 I mean, really, he said, the problem 13:57 with Christianity today is this. 13:59 They want all the benefits, 14:02 but they don't wanna do what God says in His Word. 14:06 And that's a big challenge today. 14:07 But notice what's gonna happen when the Lord comes back 14:10 there'll be no second chance, Revelation 22:11-12. 14:13 Here's what the Lord says, 14:15 this is the close of human probation. 14:17 Here it is. 14:19 "He who is unjust, let him be," what? 14:21 "Unjust still, 14:23 he who is filthy, let him be," what? 14:25 "Filthy still, 14:26 he who is righteous, let him be," what? 14:28 "Righteous still, 14:30 he who is holy, let him be," what? 14:31 "Holy still." 14:33 And then the next verse, "And behold, I am coming," how? 14:36 "Quickly, and My reward is with Me, 14:39 to give to," how many? 14:41 "Everyone according to his work." 14:45 The reward, 14:47 how many are gonna receive the reward 14:48 when Jesus comes back? 14:50 Everyone, 14:51 everyone is gonna be in either the filthy and the unholy, 14:54 or the righteous and the holy category. 14:58 There is no third category. 14:59 There's no wait for the next plane to arrive. 15:02 You don't go to any desk in the airport and say, 15:04 is there another flight to heaven? 15:06 When is it arriving? 15:08 No, if you wait for the next time 15:10 Jesus comes back is not a good flight. 15:12 Believe me, it's not gonna be good. 15:15 So when should we get ready for the Lord to come? 15:17 When? 15:18 Now, behold, now is the acceptable time, 15:21 behold now is the day of salvation. 15:24 There are people right now that are... 15:26 Some people are cutting their lawn. 15:30 Confession is hard on the reputation, they say. 15:35 Our yard is so large, 15:37 I didn't pick up my leaves from last fall. 15:39 So I still have leaves from last fall. 15:41 And I'm driving around the community, 15:42 Ralph, and I'm looking at all these nice green lawns. 15:45 Mine is mostly brown, 15:46 from the fall from the leaves from last year. 15:49 And I'm thinking, 15:51 I need to get some kids at church 15:52 and give them all rakes. 15:54 Get rid of my leaves. 15:55 I don't know where to put them. 15:57 That's the problem. You can tell. 15:58 See the evidences of what we fail to do 16:01 will remain. 16:03 When the season comes, 16:04 if we have failed to do something 16:06 at the time that we should have, 16:08 it will be evident. 16:10 Don't fail to be ready for the coming of the Lord, 16:12 it will be evident. 16:14 But now let's go to question number nine. 16:16 Question number nine. Here it is. 16:19 And so the answer to number eight is, 16:20 can the unsafe still be saved at the Second Coming? 16:23 What's the answer? 16:24 Two letters. N-O. 16:26 N-O. 16:27 Probation closes. 16:30 And another good point... 16:32 My wife is becoming a theologian. 16:33 I praise the Lord for that. 16:34 But, you know, she lives with me 16:36 and you cannot live with me 16:37 and not have some of this rub off. 16:39 Thank you, honey, I love you very much. 16:40 Is that a reverse compliment? 16:41 That's terrible. 16:43 That's terrible. 16:44 I didn't mean to do that. 16:45 My wife, the Lord brought this to my wife's mind. 16:47 But she said a very good thing. 16:49 People don't get their reward at death. 16:52 They get their reward when Jesus comes back. 16:54 Amen? Amen. 16:56 There's this idea that you get the reward 16:57 that you go to heaven right away 17:00 or you go to hell right away. 17:01 That's not true. 17:02 That's not supported by Scripture. 17:04 Everyone will get an assignment. 17:06 Now their reservations are locked in at dead. 17:09 Did you get that? 17:10 The reservation is locked in, unchangeable. 17:12 You can't get baptized 17:14 for dead people and change their reservation. 17:18 You got to really be thinking to know what I'm talking about. 17:20 Because there's some folk that believe 17:22 you can get baptized for the dead 17:25 and change their destination, you can't do that. 17:27 It is appointed in the man once to die 17:30 and after that, the judgment. 17:33 When you're dead, case closed, 17:36 judgment is set. 17:38 Question number nine. 17:39 Here it is. 17:40 What happens to Satan at the second coming of Jesus? 17:45 Go to Revelation. 17:46 Revelation 20:1-3. 17:50 Revelation 20:1-3. 17:54 All right? 17:55 Revelation 20:1-3. 18:00 Here it is. Here it is. 18:04 "Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, 18:10 having the key to the bottomless pit 18:14 and a great chain in his hand. 18:17 He laid hold of the dragon, 18:19 that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, 18:25 and bound him for," how long? 18:27 "A thousand years, 18:29 and he cast them into the bottomless pit, 18:33 and shut him up, and set a seal on him, 18:36 so that he should deceive the nations 18:39 no more till the thousand years were," what? 18:43 "Finished. 18:44 But after these things 18:45 he must be released for a," what? 18:47 "A little while." 18:49 Or some translation says short seasons. 18:51 The King James Version says short season. 18:53 For a short season. 18:56 So little season, 18:57 he's gonna be released for a little time, 18:59 which means 19:00 we have to ask ourselves the question. 19:02 So let's do something. 19:03 Let me just make this very clear before we go on. 19:07 We often ask ourselves, 19:09 is there a chain big enough... 19:14 to handcuff Satan? 19:20 If there were, 19:22 I think the Lord would have used it already. 19:23 Amen. 19:25 We're gonna find out in just a few moments, 19:27 what this chain is. 19:29 Matter of fact, I'll just give you a hint. 19:31 And we're gonna go ahead 19:32 and see this in a few questions to come. 19:34 You will understand why he Bible uses the language, 19:37 this very descriptive language because if you look at that, 19:40 if you think of the way that people were bound, 19:42 that language is very synonymous. 19:45 When Daniel was thrown in the lions' den, 19:47 there was a seal placed over him. 19:48 He stayed there till the morning time. 19:50 When the demoniac was, he was chained up, 19:54 chains and seals were the methods used 19:57 to restrain individuals. 19:59 So that's the language John is using in his day 20:01 because John is a prisoner on the island of Patmos. 20:03 And God has given... 20:05 See how you about, 20:06 Paul and Silas were chained in prison. 20:08 Chains are the symbols by which people are bound. 20:11 So the Lord uses that language. 20:13 So that people could envision he's gonna be chained. 20:16 Yes, he is. 20:17 How many of you are afraid of pit bulls? 20:21 How many of you are afraid of pit bulls on chains? 20:25 As long as you stay outside of the range of that chain, 20:28 you're okay. 20:30 A good friend of ours years ago 20:31 when I was pastoring up at Weaverville, California. 20:35 We had a deacon in our church. 20:36 He had a big goat, one of those tall goats. 20:39 Big goat, I don't know what they call them. 20:40 I just call them big goat. 20:42 It's not the little ones. 20:43 This is a big goat. And it was tall. 20:46 The height, the top of the goat was right around his waist. 20:50 And you could always tell the goat he chained 20:52 the goat in his yard. 20:53 And you can always tell 20:55 how far to go because the goat ate grass 20:58 and there was a perfectly round circle from that chain 21:02 because the goat went to the edge of the extremities. 21:04 I saw him one day go like this 21:05 trying to get his head through the further 21:07 because he had eaten as far as he could. 21:09 And it was a perfectly round circle 21:11 like a crop circle. 21:12 But one day, David, 21:14 his name was David. 21:16 One day Dave, we called him Dave. 21:17 One day Dave went out to the yard to pick up a ball 21:20 and the ball was unfortunately in the circle. 21:23 And he bent over to pick up the ball 21:25 and the goat thought he want to play. 21:29 He rammed Dave's head, knocked him out. 21:33 When he woke up about five or six minutes later, 21:35 the goat was over him licking him. 21:37 The point of the matter is, 21:39 you can only go as far as the chain 21:41 allows you to go. 21:42 You see, the chain is more of a chain of circumstances. 21:46 But before we get to that, so here's the answer 21:48 what happens to Satan at the Second Coming of Jesus? 21:50 He is bound for 1000 years. 21:53 He is bound for 1000 years. 21:57 I tell you this, Alcatraz off San Francisco. 21:59 Anybody ever been there before? 22:00 We live in California, we went to Alcatraz. 22:02 I tell you, 22:03 if you are a prisoner on Alcatraz, you are bound. 22:07 You could be walking around the entire block 22:09 but you are bound 22:11 'cause you will not get off. 22:12 You are out there and nothing is worse 22:16 for a thief 22:18 than to be in a situation where he can't steal diddly. 22:22 Where he can't steal anything, 22:24 bound, nothing worse for a murderer 22:28 than to be in solitary confinement 22:31 where the only person he can kill is himself. 22:35 You'll see in a moment why I've emphasized that, 22:37 but let's go ahead and look at something, 22:38 I wanna just pause and give you a, 22:41 The Millennium Outline to this particular point. 22:44 Go to question number 10. 22:46 We have six points A, B, C, D, E, and F. 22:48 You're gonna fill these out. 22:50 And I gave you a hint earlier as to what goes in Section A. 22:53 Here it is. 22:55 The Millennium Outline. 22:56 What's the first thing that happened 22:57 when at the beginning of millennium? 22:59 Let's say it together, what? 23:01 Jesus returns, write that down. 23:04 The first event that occurs 23:07 to begin the millennium is Jesus returns. 23:12 Then the second thing that happens 23:13 at the return of Jesus, 23:15 I made a statement earlier, 23:17 say this together, it is the what? 23:19 First resurrection. 23:21 The first resurrection, that means, whoever died, 23:26 and was laid in the grave, the saints. 23:30 The saints are resurrected. 23:31 All right. 23:33 Third thing that happens is, say together, 23:37 saints caught up to meet Jesus, 23:40 which means they did not meet him 23:41 when He died. 23:43 They did not meet Him when they died. 23:45 They did not meet Jesus when they die. 23:47 They meet Him for the first time, 23:49 the living saints. 23:51 And the saints that were dead are caught up together. 23:54 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. 23:58 They're caught up to meet Jesus. 24:00 They don't meet Him before that. 24:02 Fourth point, they meet him in the air. 24:03 That's right. 24:05 And then they begin the journey with Him back. 24:07 Fourth one, the living wicked are destroyed, 24:11 the living wicked are destroyed. 24:14 2 Thessalonians, 24:16 "The Lord destroys that wicked one 24:18 with the brightness of His coming." 24:20 We talked about this in our last topic. 24:23 They're gonna be running for the rocks and mountains. 24:25 "Hide from the one who's sitting on the throne 24:27 and from the wrath of the Lamb." 24:29 Point E and this is important. 24:34 No one left alive on earth. 24:39 No one left alive on earth. 24:41 And I'll break that down in just a moment. 24:44 Thus point F is so significant. 24:48 Satan bound together, how long? 24:51 A thousand years. 24:53 This is very important. And here's the point. 24:56 If no one is left alive on earth, 24:59 and I just kind of gave you some hints a moment ago 25:01 on Alcatraz. 25:03 If there's somebody on Alcatraz. 25:05 Matter of fact, I read stories. 25:06 I went to Alcatraz as a visitor. 25:08 Amen. 25:10 We did the audio tour, 25:11 put our little earphones in and walked around 25:13 and they said, you're right now 25:14 in front of a jail cell of this famous criminal 25:16 and they had pictures of Al Capone 25:17 and all the other people that were there. 25:19 And they said, 25:21 "There was nothing more tormenting 25:22 than on New Year's Eve 25:26 for prisoners in Alcatraz to hear all the celebration 25:29 going on in San Francisco." 25:31 They can hear it. 25:33 They can hear it, they could hear the music, 25:36 the festivities and there they were 25:38 on the bars of their jail cell. 25:39 It was as if the winds had carried 25:42 the sounds of jubilee and celebration 25:45 over to Alcatraz to say to them, 25:48 you shouldn't have done it. 25:49 Amen. 25:52 Wouldn't you think that? 25:53 I mean, here it is New Year's Eve and happy... 25:55 You hear the people yelling, it's Happy New Year. 25:58 You're thinking yourself, what am I doing in here? 26:01 I got in here for stealing a pound of fish. 26:03 What am I doing in here? 26:04 I mean, you got to be really more hardcore 26:07 than that to get into Alcatraz. 26:09 But the fact of the matter is, no one left alive on earth, 26:12 which is the reason why Satan is bound for 1000 years. 26:16 Now quickly, let's go to the next question. 26:18 You'll see exactly why he's bound. 26:22 Question number 11. 26:24 We're moving at a good pace tonight. 26:26 Question number 11. 26:28 What happens that causes Satan to be bound to the earth? 26:34 What happens that causes Satan to be bound to the earth? 26:39 Now you keeping all these points in mind, 26:41 Jesus comes, saints caught up, 26:44 first resurrection, saints caught up, 26:46 the living wicked destroyed, 26:48 no one on the earth, Satan bound for 1000 years. 26:51 Now, as we go to the text in Jeremiah 4:23-26. 26:56 We're going to see creation in reverse. 27:00 What phrase did I just use? Creation in reverse. 27:04 We're gonna see a world 27:06 that is like God pulled the plug on all forms of life. 27:12 And the world 27:14 as it was when the Lord began to create it 27:16 is in a similar condition. 27:18 Look at Jeremiah 4:23. 27:22 And the same Hebrew word there void is used in Jeremiah, 27:25 as it is in the Book of Genesis. 27:28 Here's the text. 27:30 The Bible says, 27:31 "I beheld the earth, 27:35 and indeed it was," what? 27:38 "Without form, and void, 27:41 and the heavens, they had no light. 27:45 I beheld the mountains, and indeed they," what? 27:49 "They trembled, 27:51 and all the hills moved back and forth." 27:55 One Bible writer says 27:57 they're gonna shake like a reed in the wind. 27:59 "And I beheld, and indeed," what? 28:02 "There was no man, 28:06 all the birds of the heavens had," what? 28:09 "Fled. 28:11 I beheld, and indeed the fruitful land was a," what? 28:16 "Wilderness, 28:17 and all its cities were broken down 28:22 at the presence of the Lord, and by His," what? 28:26 "Fierce anger." 28:28 Lord have mercy. 28:31 I wanna be on the first flight. 28:33 Come on, can you say amen to that? 28:34 I wanna be on the first flight out of here 28:37 because that is, I saw a video on, 28:42 I think it was Discovery Channel 28:43 or History Channel. 28:44 And they played out a scenario, 28:46 they call it a Doomsday scenario, you know, 28:48 a lot of Doomsday Preppers right now. 28:50 Have you heard about that? 28:51 Matter fact, if you give me a water, 28:52 I'd appreciate that. 28:54 Somebody get me water, little dry. 28:55 The Doomsday Preppers 28:57 and they put a scenario together 28:59 to kind of envision what the world might be like. 29:02 Thank you, mean a lot. 29:04 No advertising, 29:05 and what the world might be like. 29:08 If in fact, there was no man, now follow this very carefully. 29:12 They said, if all human life, if all humanity men, 29:17 but the animals remain alive, 29:19 they said what will happen? 29:20 They said, "If no one was around to maintain 29:23 all the utilities, and all the bridges, 29:26 and all the things that needed to be maintained 29:28 to refill the gas tanks to deliver oil or propane, 29:31 they said everything will run as it normally would, 29:34 until all forms of sustenance runs out." 29:37 In other words, when the propane 29:38 is out of your tank, just gonna go cold. 29:40 When the oil is out of your tank, 29:45 it's just gonna go cold, 29:46 and they said, eventually everything around the world 29:48 in a matter of years, 29:51 the world will be completely still no electricity, 29:53 no light bulbs, no natural energy, 29:57 and buildings will begin to decay. 29:59 And then they said in the course of 20, 30, 40, 30:01 and they play the scenario out 100 years, 30:03 buildings will start falling apart, 30:05 the cities wherever they cut the lawns and the cities, 30:08 you know, like here on highway 57, 30:10 they maintain the center divide, 30:12 but if there's no one there to maintain the center divide, 30:13 what happens? 30:15 It grows up like trees, 30:16 all the cracks in the highway that they... 30:18 Everything will become 30:19 and the world will begin to fall apart. 30:21 And they said, and this is a kind of scenario 30:22 that this is being painted right here. 30:24 But what's even more diabolical about this, 30:27 it says there's no man left. 30:29 Even the birds are gone. 30:31 The world is dark. 30:33 And how did it happen? 30:36 The cities were broken down 30:38 at the presence of the Lord by His what? 30:42 Fierce anger. Wow! 30:45 When you read, the Bible says 30:46 the heavens will depart as a scroll 30:47 when it is rolled together. 30:49 That's quite an amazing situation. 30:51 So what happens that causes Satan to be bound? 30:54 If you go back just a verse, 30:57 it says, "And indeed there was," 31:00 how many men? 31:02 How many men? "No man." 31:04 So that means, 31:05 are there any righteous people on earth? 31:08 Are there any wicked people on earth? 31:10 Yes, but they're dead. 31:12 Just want to see if you're listening, 31:13 they're here, but then I walk around saying, 31:16 "Man, I just wanna kill somebody." 31:18 Because, you know, let me just, 31:20 it sounds kind of a flippant statement. 31:24 But when the filthy are filthy still, 31:26 and the unrighteous are unrighteous still, 31:29 I would suggest to you 31:30 that their hearts are gonna be more diabolical 31:32 than the people were in Noah's day. 31:35 Because evil has been fully grown, 31:37 and the call of God, 31:40 every moisture of righteousness has been evaporated, 31:44 and they are sealed in their evil characters. 31:48 Can you imagine the demons roaming the earth? 31:51 It didn't say that there wouldn't be any angels. 31:53 It didn't say there wouldn't be Satan. 31:55 So what's gonna happen 31:57 if you know the story of Azazel the goat 31:59 that on whose head the lot falls. 32:03 And a fit man is to take that goat 32:05 way out into the wilderness, and leave it out there, 32:07 and the goat stays out there and die. 32:09 This is a symbology 32:11 that Satan will spend a 1000 years in the wilderness. 32:15 Now quickly, 32:17 what is the wilderness? 32:20 What's the wilderness? 32:22 The desolate earth. 32:25 Now let's just think about this. 32:26 Say you're the only one left. 32:29 You got any gas station, get any gas you want. 32:31 Go to 7-Eleven, don't have to pay for anything. 32:33 I'm gonna drive over to California. 32:35 You can go to the car dealership 32:37 and get any car you want. 32:39 I'll drive from here to St. Louis in a Hummer. 32:42 When I get to St. Louis, I get a Ferrari. 32:44 You get any vehicle. 32:46 You could just go from one end of the earth to the other. 32:50 And when you get off, there's no one but you. 32:53 What would you feel like? 32:57 You wanna talk to somebody, 32:59 no cell phone signals, 33:01 no news broadcasts. 33:06 You be after a certain amount of time, 33:08 you don't care about cars, 33:09 you don't care about televisions, 33:10 you don't care about modes of transportation, 33:12 you don't care about any food 33:13 and then the 7-Eleven or Kroger, 33:15 you just wanna talk to somebody. 33:17 What if you were, what if somebody said? 33:21 I don't want to say anybody's name in here, 33:24 you're gonna be experiencing this for 1000 years, 33:27 and you can't die. 33:30 You're gonna be stuck by yourself for 1000 years 33:34 because of your rebellion. 33:38 And in about a few more years, there won't be any more fuel, 33:41 so the cars won't even work any longer. 33:43 So here you are roaming the earth 33:45 and the situation that binds the devil 33:48 is he and his evil angels are cut loose. 33:54 The house of all these demonic forces 33:59 are covering the earth, 34:01 itching like an angry dog to find somebody to tempt 34:05 and there is no man. 34:09 So Satan is bound by a chain of 34:11 what happens that causes Satan to be bound to the earth. 34:15 Answer, a chain of circumstances. 34:19 A chain of circumstances. 34:23 No one here and I guarantee you, 34:26 you wouldn't wanna be the only one here. 34:30 It just came in, I've been in two blackouts in New York, 34:33 my wife and I have, 34:34 one in... 34:36 A blackout is when all the electricity goes off. 34:39 It's bad at night. See if it goes over the day. 34:42 We were living in Fairfield, California 34:44 one day when we came home from church 34:46 and all the electricity went off. 34:49 And we couldn't get in our house 34:50 because the garage... 34:52 So here we are, it was summer here, 34:53 we sat on my car. 34:55 Oh man, it's like hot out here. 34:57 We just had to sit outside on the car. 34:59 We didn't prepare for those kinds of moments. 35:01 But after that we found, you know, 35:03 creative ways to keep the house 35:05 give us another way of getting in. 35:07 And, but the New York City blackout, 35:10 the one that I remember the most is 1977. 35:14 I was still in the world at the time, 35:15 I was playing pool in a billiard hall. 35:18 And it was about my turn to make the shot 35:20 and all of a sudden the lights went off. 35:21 And I thought my friend had done that, 35:23 just so I could miss the shot. 35:24 And I said, "Jerry, turn the light back on." 35:26 He said, "I didn't turn the light off." 35:27 And I went outside, and I saw the lights going off. 35:32 Straight down the avenue, left, right. 35:35 And it was in a matter of minutes. 35:37 And it seemed like demons took over. 35:39 People were flipping over cars, 35:41 setting fires, breaking into stores, 35:44 it's like humanity had lost all restraint. 35:48 And here's the point I'm trying to make, 35:50 when the light of the glory of God 35:53 ceases to shine. 35:56 The reason why the Lord equates darkness with evil 35:59 is because they prefer darkness rather than light 36:03 because their deeds are evil. 36:05 When all the glory of God is removed from the earth, 36:08 when every semblance and representation of good 36:13 is no longer to be found, 36:15 this is gonna be not just a void earth, 36:18 but an earth wrapped with evil angels. 36:20 And I'll give you the number 36:21 one third that used to be in heaven 36:23 will be down here with Satan for 1000 years. 36:26 Wow! 36:28 Let's go to question number 12 and see how this is explained. 36:31 What a situation? 36:33 That's why the Lord's coming to get us out of here. 36:36 He's not coming to hang out with us. 36:38 He's coming to get us out of here. 36:40 Because this place has to be cleaned up 36:42 before the saints inhabit the earth. 36:46 Question number 12. 36:47 How does the Apostle Peter describe the chains 36:50 that bind Satan? 36:54 How does the Apostle Peter describe the chains 36:57 that bind Satan? 37:00 2 Peter 2:4. 37:05 2 Peter 2:4. 37:08 All right. 37:13 A synopsis of the condition 37:17 that Satan is subject to. 37:20 Okay, here it is. 37:23 Here it is. 37:25 "For if God did not spare the angels who sinned..." 37:29 Here it is, 37:30 "For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, 37:35 but cast them down to hell," to where? 37:38 "Hell and delivered them into," what? 37:42 "Chains of darkness, to be reserved for," what? 37:47 "For judgment." 37:48 Chains of darkness. 37:51 See, I used the illustration of darkness a moment ago, why? 37:53 Because what's the chain? 37:56 What's the chain? 37:57 Circumstances, 37:59 but what also is included in the chain of circumstances? 38:02 Darkness, Isaiah 60, 38:05 "Behold, darkness will cover the inhabitants 38:08 and gross darkness the people. 38:11 Darkness is always associated with judgment. 38:15 If we look at Joel, he talks about 38:17 the day of the Lord is a day of darkness 38:18 and gloominess, a day of thick clouds. 38:22 Darkness. 38:23 Somebody said, if the volcano in Yellowstone ever erupted, 38:30 Lord have mercy. 38:31 If it ever erupted, they said 38:32 there's so much magma in that caldron. 38:35 They cannot even estimate how much it is. 38:37 But they said it may block out sunlight 38:38 in the eastern United States for at least six months. 38:43 Can you imagine being in darkness 38:44 for six months, well, people in Alaska can 38:47 because we all go to Alaska, 38:49 but you couldn't take off 38:51 because when those things blow up, 38:52 they go 60,000-80,000 feet. 38:54 Can you imagine the earth wrapped in darkness, 38:57 a day of darkness and day of thick clouds? 38:59 Now the reason I'm being very descriptive tonight. 39:03 You right? 39:04 There was an explosion in Europe, 39:05 then Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines 39:07 and then so many others that have blown up 39:09 and you see the results of that. 39:11 Mount St. Helens, we saw that on the news. 39:13 But the point, the reason I'm being 39:15 very descriptive tonight is this. 39:17 I don't want to paint the millennium 39:19 as a vacation. 39:21 I don't wanna paint it as something 39:23 that's just gonna be well, we'll wait. 39:26 No, it is not any circumstances that anybody right now 39:30 has to end up in. 39:32 If you're living and alive, 39:33 you have the opportunity of saying, 39:35 Lord Jesus, I don't want to be in that situation. 39:37 Amen, somebody? Amen! 39:38 So the only escape is Christ. 39:41 If you know what's coming, it makes sense. 39:44 This is not gonna be, 39:45 well, my mommy ain't around to tell me 39:46 to turn the television off anymore. 39:48 There's not gonna be one of those situations. 39:49 There's not gonna be like a stable place I want. 39:51 Oh, no, this is not gonna be one of those situations 39:53 because I tell you what? 39:54 Even people that get involved in evil, 39:57 you can only do evil but so long 39:59 before you get sick and tired of evil. 40:02 I heard the young man in Japan that play videogames 40:04 for three days. 40:06 He had to go to the hospital, suffered vertigo, 40:09 couldn't stand up. 40:12 His mind overloaded on him from three days of videogames, 40:15 just... 40:17 You can only do evil but so long. 40:19 Wow! 40:21 So the chains of circumstance 40:22 and they are delivered in these chains of circumstance 40:26 to be reserved for judgment. 40:27 Now let me just point out something here. 40:29 This is a very important verse 40:30 because the word here hell 40:32 in 2 Peter 2:4 40:34 is the only place in the Bible where the Greek word, 40:36 write this Greek word down it is T-A-T-A-R-U-S, 40:43 Tatarus or Tataros. 40:45 T-A-T-A-R-U-S, very important to understand that word, 40:49 because if the Bible says delivered, 40:52 but cast them down to hell, 40:54 delivering them at the chains of darkness. 40:57 So when the angels got kicked out, 40:59 where did they get kicked out to? 41:03 Where did they get kicked out to? 41:04 Right, Revelation 12:9. 41:07 Go to Revelation 12:9 very quickly. 41:09 They got kicked out to Earth, but it said to hell, 41:13 so let's find out how they are both synonymous. 41:16 I tell you, oh, Lord. 41:19 Revelation 12:9. 41:22 They got kicked out. 41:23 It says, "They got delivered into chains of darkness." 41:26 Bible says, "They got delivered and kicked out to earth." 41:28 Notice what it says, Revelation 12:9. 41:31 "So the great dragon was cast out," 41:33 says that, right, see, but cast them down. 41:36 But the great dragon was cast out Revelation 12:9, 41:39 "that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, 41:42 who deceives the whole world, he was cast to the Earth, 41:46 and his angels were cast out with him." 41:50 So if he was cast to the Earth and the Bible calls that hell. 41:57 The Greek word Tatarus or Tataros is significant, 42:01 very important. 42:02 And let me tell you why the Bible uses that. 42:04 There is a spiritual realm 42:05 that prevents us from seeing good angels, 42:09 that prevents us from seeing evil angels. 42:11 Ellen White makes this statement, 42:14 and I'm kind of glad 42:15 that we don't have this ability. 42:17 But she says, if your eyes, 42:18 if your sight can be peeled back 42:20 to see the battle going on for your soul. 42:22 I'm paraphrasing, you would tremble 42:25 to know that there's a battle over your soul. 42:27 There's a battle over your life. 42:29 If you could see the evil angels, 42:33 you probably pray a whole lot more 42:35 than you are praying right now. 42:37 If you can see the demons coming, 42:40 rubbing their hands getting ready to tempt you. 42:43 She says when people are depressed, 42:44 that's why she says, when people are locked in 42:46 and they close themselves in with darkness, 42:49 she said, sing songs 42:52 because the angels cannot exist 42:54 in the place that God is being praised. 42:57 Thus, David the Psalmist says, the Lord inhabits 43:01 the praises of His people. 43:03 So this place, this Satan is on the Earth, 43:06 but the place the phrase word, the word hell here 43:09 is they are in a spirit realm Tatarus. 43:13 And here's the good news. 43:14 God prevents them from doing 43:17 what they ultimately want to do. 43:20 Now what do you think they ultimately want to do? 43:23 Kill us. 43:24 Amen, somebody? Amen. 43:26 Not amen for killing us, 43:27 but amen that God prevents them. 43:30 What is He holding them with? Come on talk... 43:32 Chains, He's limiting their activities. 43:37 So as God limits their activity now 43:41 by chains of darkness, we can't see him. 43:45 God is going to completely cut off Satan's activity 43:48 by chain in the bottomless pit. 43:52 You don't have anything void. 43:55 The word there 43:56 bottomless is also a derivative of the Greek word, 43:59 of the Hebrew word 44:00 that is used for void in Genesis 44:02 and void in Jeremiah 4:23. 44:05 So that means there's nothing to do. 44:08 Nothing to do at all. 44:11 Let's look at another word. Number 30. 44:13 So how does the Apostle Peter 44:15 describe the chains that bind Satan? 44:17 Chains of darkness 44:19 and you want to add there, spiritual realm. 44:22 We can't see them, 44:25 but I could guarantee you some of you sense 44:26 when the devil, 44:28 when the evil angels are around, 44:29 can't you tell? 44:31 You can tell when that temptation is getting great. 44:33 Oh boy, they're around. 44:36 That's why sometimes you got to turn that 44:37 Christian music on nice and loud. 44:41 And they'll be about ready to knock on the door 44:43 and they just turn and walk away. 44:46 How does the Apostle Jude describe Satan's chains? 44:49 Go to Jude verse 6, only one chapter. 44:53 Okay. Jude. 44:57 How does the Apostle Jude describe Satan's chains? 45:00 Okay, that's right. 45:02 There you go. 45:04 Here it is. Jude verse 6 only. 45:06 You got to say chapter 1 45:08 because there's only one chapter, but here it is. 45:10 "And the angels 45:11 who did not keep their proper domain," 45:16 see where they are now is what God never intent, 45:19 it's not proper for you. 45:20 You're not supposed to be here. 45:22 But they chose not to keep their proper domain, 45:25 "but left their own abode, He has reserved," how? 45:30 "In everlasting chains under darkness 45:34 for the judgment of the great day." 45:38 That's what's gonna happen during the thousand years. 45:40 Chains, what kind of chains? 45:42 Everlasting chains mean, 45:44 they can't change the circumstances. 45:46 They are unable to alter their circumstances. 45:51 And surely, that's right. Locked in. 45:54 Let's call it this, demonic solitary confinement. 46:00 And I can guarantee you for a short period of time, 46:03 they're gonna be on evil turbo. 46:06 Looking for someone to tempt, 46:09 returning with there's no one, there is no one, 46:11 there is no one, there is no one, 46:13 roaming the Earth like roaches, mosquitoes. 46:19 I tell you, it's gonna be an evil side, shrieks. 46:24 That's the phrase that was used once 46:25 Ellen White talked about the demons 46:27 when they came out of a demoniac, shrieks. 46:32 The Earth is gonna be wrapped in that kind of circumstance. 46:35 How does the Apostle Jude describe Satan's chains? 46:38 What we call them, everlasting chains of darkness 46:43 reserved for the judgment of the great day. 46:48 You know, what the judgment is? 46:49 When the 1000 years are done. 46:53 And let me tell you, 46:55 do you think the devil doesn't know? 46:57 He knows. 46:58 You read Revelation, the Bible says, 47:00 he knows that he has but a short time. 47:03 He knows. 47:04 That's why he's coming down unto us with great wrath. 47:07 He knows he has a short time. Now here's the point. 47:09 Why is he come down unto us with great wrath 47:12 if they were going to be people on the Earth 47:15 during the 1000 years to tempt, 47:17 he would at least have 1000 more years. 47:20 But he doesn't, he knows. 47:21 Some churches are teaching stuff 47:23 that the devil know is not true. 47:27 The devil say, "Ah, excuse me, Pastor so and so, 47:33 there ain't gonna be anybody down here. 47:35 That's why I'm really angry right now. 47:37 That's why my wrath is great." 47:40 Because there will be no one down here. 47:42 Wow. Wow. 47:44 Quite, quite, quite eye opening, isn't it? 47:47 Okay, question number 14. 47:49 Question number 14. 47:54 What are the saints assigned to do during the millennium? 47:59 If we don't finish it tonight, we'll get to next week. 48:02 Okay, 48:03 what are the saints assigned to do during the millennium? 48:07 They're gonna be in heaven 48:09 where they're gonna be up there. 48:11 Okay, what are they gonna be doing up there? 48:14 Revelation 20:4. 48:17 Revelation 20:4. 48:19 You notice tonight we have three quick 14, 15, and 16. 48:22 But there are lots of texts. 48:25 So it's not just three more questions, 48:26 we may not get to them 48:27 because I don't like to fly through it. 48:29 Revelation 20:4, here's what the Bible says. 48:34 "And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and," 48:39 together, "judgment was committed to them. 48:43 Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded 48:47 for their witness to Jesus and for the Word of God, 48:52 who had not worshiped the beast or his image, 48:56 and had not received his mark on their foreheads 48:59 or on their hands. 49:01 And they lived and reigned with Christ for," how long? 49:06 "A thousand years." 49:08 So just very quickly, 49:12 what are the saints assigned to do during the judgment? 49:17 Okay, judgment was committed to them. 49:22 Now who do you think 49:24 is the only one that has the ability 49:25 to commit judgment to the saints? 49:27 Jesus, for the Father judges no one, 49:30 but has committed all judgment to the Son. 49:33 Now, follow this very carefully. 49:36 Those who are in heaven, 49:38 and those who didn't make heaven 49:39 is because the Son has already made His decision. 49:42 He's handed down his verdict. 49:44 Let's make it clear. 49:46 We're living in the hour of the investigation, 49:49 the investigative judgment. 49:51 What the declaration, he who is righteous and holy, 49:54 he who is filthy and unholy, when that declaration is made. 49:57 That's the verdict. 49:59 So he's already made his verdict. 50:01 But why, what are the saints doing? 50:03 Reviewing the records of those who didn't make it. 50:08 And at the end of that, they will declare, 50:10 just and righteous are thy judgments. 50:16 Just and true are thy judgments 50:19 'cause I'd be very honest with you. 50:21 There is gonna be a period where 50:26 I can't get all the details, 50:28 but let me just kind of break it down. 50:29 And I know we're not going to get to all the questions, 50:30 but I think it's important to break it down tonight. 50:32 When we make it to heaven, 50:36 we're gonna be so happy 50:37 when we see our loved ones there. 50:40 When they make it with us, 50:42 we're going to be so happy when, 50:44 honey, you made it. 50:45 Yes, Johnny made it. Praise the Lord. 50:48 But when you get there, 50:52 where's so and so. 50:58 And you look around for maybe 200 years. 51:02 And you haven't found him yet, or her yet. 51:05 What happened to so and so? 51:09 Check out the records. 51:10 They were not allowed to come. 51:14 Can I see? 51:15 Can I see their DVD, 51:18 their divine video disc, can I see? 51:22 And you'll see every attempt 51:24 that was made for them to be saved. 51:28 You see every appeal. 51:30 You see every sermon appeal, 51:33 you see every track ever delivered to their house. 51:35 You see every attempt that the Holy Spirit 51:37 has spoken to that person's heart. 51:40 And then you'll see the final and ultimate rejection 51:43 of all of God's attempts and mercy 51:45 to save that individual. 51:47 And then you say, with tears, 51:50 I believe because God's gonna wipe away the tears 51:53 at the end of the 1000 years. 51:54 I guarantee you there gonna be a whole lot of tears 51:56 in the kingdom. 51:58 I have no verification to that, 52:00 but the wiping away of the tears 52:03 is at the end of the 1000 years. 52:06 There gonna be a lot of people 52:09 as they read the record of somebody who didn't make it. 52:13 Father, mothers, fathers, cousins, uncles, friends. 52:17 And you'll see the Bible study that you have. 52:20 Do you want to accept Christ? 52:21 No, I got a party tonight. 52:24 I got lots of things to do, I appreciate the Bible study, 52:27 but see you later. 52:28 And you remember 52:30 that was the last see you later. 52:31 I'm only gonna do one more time and they don't survive. 52:35 There's a song written years ago called "Tomorrow," 52:38 who promised you tomorrow? 52:40 Choose the Lord today. 52:41 We sing that in Heritage Singers years ago. 52:43 So this is the millennium. This is a sobering topic. 52:47 It's not just something that... 52:49 I don't wanna just inform people 52:50 about the truth about the millennium, 52:53 but I wanna awaken within you the sober reality 52:56 that what's coming is the day of rejoicing, 53:00 and a day of gnashing, and wailing, and weeping. 53:04 And you don't wanna be 53:06 on the weeping and gnashing and wailing, 53:07 you wanna be on the rejoicing. 53:10 You wanna be able to say as Isaiah 25:9, 53:13 "Lo, this is our God, we have waited for Him, 53:15 we will rejoice and be glad in His salvation." 53:18 That's what I wanna say, amen, anybody else? 53:21 I wanna be looking up, 53:23 I don't want to be looking to the mountains and rocks. 53:25 I wanna be looking at the face of Him 53:27 who sits on the throne and say, 53:28 "Praise the Lord, He has come to save us." 53:31 That's the beauty of the millennium. 53:33 And it's going to be the line in the sand for two groups. 53:37 You cannot go, you can go. 53:40 Let's go to the next one. 53:41 So the saints will be given the job of committing. 53:48 Now here's what I'm gonna get this 53:49 because the whole judicial court system 53:51 is set up the way that is. 53:53 When I say judicial in the Judaic court system, 53:55 very similar to how it is in America today. 53:58 You have the investigation. 54:00 You have the evidence presented, 54:02 the accuser of our brethren, that's the devil, 54:05 the prosecuting attorney. 54:06 And then the Lord covering us by His blood. 54:09 Amen. 54:11 We overcome, the verdict is handed down, 54:13 you make it, you won't make it, 54:15 then there are cases are decided. 54:16 And then what happens, 54:19 then there is the sentencing phase. 54:22 And at the end of the 1000 years 54:24 is the sentencing phase. 54:26 And that's what Revelation 22:12. 54:29 "Behold, I come quickly and My reward is with Me 54:32 to give to everyone according to his work." 54:35 And the saints are reviewing. 54:38 So they go over the record of a 19-year old, 54:42 who just got beside himself one day 54:44 and decided to go ahead and shoot somebody 54:46 and lost his life in a gun battle 54:48 with the police. 54:50 Record closed. 54:52 They'll review the life of Hitler, 54:54 and these tyrants, 54:57 these lone rangers 54:58 that have persecuted and killed people. 55:00 Let me tell you, 55:01 the judgment for them will be far greater 55:04 than for that 19-year old according to their works. 55:09 That's why the Lord is committing to the saints. 55:10 And when God has decided what that judgment is gonna be, 55:13 the saints gonna say, Lord, you're right. 55:15 I cannot argue with your verdict. 55:17 That's why the sentencing phase everybody that was involved 55:20 in the investigation 55:22 and the evidentiary phase is there 55:26 for the sentencing phase. 55:27 So they can see that the judge 55:29 according to Penal Code Section C, 55:33 we now sentence you to... 55:37 That's what is really happening. 55:39 That's the end of the judgment. 55:41 Look at 1 Corinthians Chapter 6. 55:44 1 Corinthians Chapter 6, it's very sobering. 55:47 It's sobering. 55:48 It tells you, "Hey, 55:49 you don't wanna miss out on the greatest opportunity 55:51 for something frivolous 55:54 and that can't hold water today. 55:56 And the devil make temptation looks so great." 55:58 But just there's no temptation 56:01 worth losing out on eternity for, is it? 56:05 Paul says, 56:06 "Do you not know that the saints 56:08 will judge the world? 56:09 And if the world will be judged by you, 56:12 are you not unworthy to judge the smallest matters?" 56:16 Always amazed when people say, "Don't judge me." 56:19 That's what my job is, not to sentence you, 56:21 but to judge you. 56:23 By their fruits, you will know. 56:25 So there's an entire Book 56:27 on the Old Testament called Judges. 56:29 Samson was a judge. 56:31 We ought to be able to look at a person's life and say, 56:33 that's not the... 56:34 Now don't say to them, you're going to hell. 56:37 But you could look at a person's life and say, 56:38 "That's not the life of a person 56:40 declaring to be Christ." 56:41 That's why the Bible says, Jesus said, 56:44 that they may see your good works 56:46 and glorify your Father which is in heaven. 56:48 That's why our light should shine. 56:50 Right? That God will be glorified. 56:53 So the saints are gonna do what? 56:54 Judge the world. 56:55 And the last one, I may not get it. 57:00 Let me just not force it. 57:01 Let me just wait for next week, okay? 57:03 Because we don't have a minute or so. 57:04 But here's the point I want to make tonight. 57:07 We are living in the day of the investigative judgment, 57:09 say that phrase with me, the investigative what? 57:12 Judgment, when the investigation is done, 57:15 the verdict will be handed down by the righteous judge, 57:19 who is who? 57:20 Jesus Christ. 57:22 So get this picture in your mind, 57:24 the judgment is set, and the books are open. 57:29 And when every case has been decided for life or for death, 57:33 the verdict will be handed down. 57:35 Those of you who are watching and listening to the program, 57:37 let me tell you tonight, this is the day of salvation. 57:40 This is the time to turn your life over to Christ. 57:44 The only way to be rescued 57:46 from all of this is through Christ. 57:48 There's no other name 57:50 given among men whereby we must be saved 57:53 than the name of Christ. 57:54 So continue studying God's Word, 57:56 give your heart to Christ, and if it doesn't make sense, 57:58 one day His glory 58:00 will come into A Sharper Focus. 58:02 God bless you. |
