damage and loss of life.

while we are sad about

what has happened in Harrisburg,

and somewhat of bitter sweet way

we think the Lord
tonight that He spared

times, we get baptized

church and then we wonder

what do we do next.

I mean, how do we
live a victorious life?

And so the reason why
we've chosen this topic

or the reason why this
is so widely important to me

"How to Live a Spiritual
Life in a Natural Body"

is that's exactly
what we have to do.

Every one of us
has a natural body,

but everyone of us

are called to
live a spiritual life.

Jesus said "Be ye therefore holy

as my Father in heaven is holy."

So how do you live a holy life?

That's the
challenge, that's the quandary.

Especially in light of the idea,

that we have
this defective body.

Now, although the Lord
has called me out of darkness

many, many years ago.

If I could apply
this to every one of us,

we all remember where
we used to be, am I right?

We all remember the life
we used to live before Christ.

partier you did not forget

how to party.

If you are a person that
club or spend at the club

or drink or smoke

that in order for us

have to die how often?

the thing that's against you

is this mortal flesh.

This mortal flesh, this mind

that somewhat of a hard drive

with a lot of
corrupt files on it.

we have virus protection

it will spread and overtake
all the good information

on that hard drive
and corrupt it too.

can Jesus be "Just"

How can He be
"Just" and the "Justifier"

That's a challenge,
because the Bible speaks

of the fact that all
have sinned, and fallen, what?

Short of the glory of God.

They are none
of us that is good.

Not one of us.
Even our righteousness.

Even the things
we do is as what?

Filthy rags. Filthy rags.

And you will
never take a dirty rag

to wipe a clean face.

You'll never take an oily rag

to remove oil from your face.

So with the Lord
as an essence saying,

what the Bible is
saying is our righteousness,

the best that we
try we could never get

beyond filthy rags.

But Jesus who loves
us, wants to justify us,

but there are certain things
that must remain in place.

Because, He has to remain just,

but He also is the justifier.

He wants to set us
free, but he can't change

a single thing about
Him or His government.

It's kind of like
being illegal in a country.

And you want to
be a legal citizen.

Well, the country
can wipe out its laws

to make you a legal citizen.

And so when people talk
about, what's the phrase here,

when you talk about legalism.

Often times legalism
is referred to people

wanting to keep the
Commandments of God.

But a better
definition of legalism is

in fact declaring
yourself to be righteous,

while ignoring the
laws of the land, legalism.

But let's looks at
a question number nine

down very briefly.

In the Old

to the coming of Jesus.

They didn't see Jesus.

But they looked forward by faith

in the works of the
law, they looked forward

to the coming Christ.

They looked forward to the Lamb

that would one day be
slain and His blood would

His blood would be
the payment for our sins.

So through the law

the coming of Christ.

what God says but, as a goat.

people that are hard headed

could be bull headed.

But the only thing
that can be only method

by which we are made
righteous is by the Creator.

The one who
created us is the only one

that can redeem us.

So when Jesus shed His blood,

it was completely apart
from the ceremonial law.

If the ceremonial
law let us to remember

or to look forward to
that blood that was being shed.

read Hebrews 8, 9 and 10

how-- when Jesus came,

for blood of bulls and goats.

But His own precious
blood that of a spotless lamb.

willing to pay the price

to redeem every one of us.
