Until very recently
Cambodia was a country

that was resisting the
power of these words of Jesus.

Over the centuries,
Christianity has made

very little
progress in Cambodia.

People were steeped in Buddhism

and found the
ideas of Christianity

foreign and strange.

However, all of
that was about to change.

When civil war and chaos
broke out in Cambodia in 1975,

thousands of people
fled to refugee camps

along the boarders of Thailand.

It was here that they
not only found salvation

from their physical enemies

but also a new message of hope

for spiritual salvation as well.

It's a city of
about a million people

we had one major church in
a couple of small companies

and now they
have just mushroomed

churches and lot of companies

and they have lot of
people working there.

So that has been very exciting.

And before I left
we basically did things

in personal evangelism

Since I left they have had
