the rise of the antichrist.

from Daniel the 7th chapter,

it talked about a little horn.

points of identification

for that little
horn step by step.

So the Scripture
gives us plenty of evidence

as to exactly who
that little horn is.

As we went through
those steps one by one,

we came down and it
says that his dominion

was taken away from him.

And as we looked at history,
we found out that his dominion

was taken away from
him in 1798 by Napoleon.

Napoleon sent his
general, Berthier, into Rome

and took the pope
prisoner and brought an end

to the papal power in 1798.

This is where you're
going to find that in Revelation

to take us a step farther.

You see, prophecy

about this beast.

Revelation, is seeing a beast

coming up out of the sea.

In Bible prophecy
water represents people,

nations, and tongues.

And so this is representing
a beast that is coming up

from among the people.

And it says that it had
seven heads and ten horns,

describing this
particular beast.

Now John doesn't

is most important here?

The fact is that they worshiped.

worshiped the dragon,

they worshiped the beast.

So this is not just a
matter of a political power.

This is a matter of worship.

And they're
worshiping this beast.

Alright, it continues.

"And he was given a mouth..."

So again, God is going
through and identifying

point by point who this
beast is so that you and I

as to who this beast represents.

So this is not
just some little power

But this is a power that
has held worldwide control.

Because it says that, "Authority

tongue, and people."

So here, the Scripture
has taken us step by step

and has lined up for us
the points telling us about

this particular beast.

I mentioned something to you.

Because the Scripture
talks, as you go through Daniel

and Revelation, it talks about
these people that are wise.

And it says the
wise shall do this.

And it says, "Here is wisdom."

Here is one who
has understanding.

Here again in
Revelation 13, it says,

if you have an ear, hear.

Listen to what the
Scripture has to say.

This is what
makes you wise unto...

...salvation.

That's what it says; it
makes you wise unto salvation.

These are special things that
you and I need to understand

for the times in
which we are living.

So now let's go
back to that second verse

and take a look at it.

Because it carries some very,
very vital information in it.

And it says, "Now
the beast which I saw..."

Here, this beast is made up
of parts of three other beasts.

And it says, "The dragon
gave him his power, his seat,

and his great authority."
00:16:53.57\00:16:54.73
So in our previous presentation,

we found that there was a lion.

And we found that
this lion represented the

kingdom of Babylon.

It represented Babylon.

And then we found that Babylon
was overthrown by Medo-Persia.

And Medo-Persia was
overthrown by Greece.

And Greece was
overthrown by Rome.

Now the thing that's
important here, folks,

is that Daniel, and even John,
that's as far as they take it.

I run into people who are
all the time trying to put in

some other
nation, some other power.
00:17:38.14\00:17:40.16
Scripture doesn't do that.
00:17:40.19\00:17:41.47
It talks about Babylon,
Medo-Persian, Greece, and Rome.
00:17:41.50\00:17:44.34
And then it says when
Rome is done, it's over.
00:17:44.37\00:17:48.46
That's what it says.

And so we need to follow
exactly what the Scripture

is saying here when it
talks about these four powers.

Alright, points
of identification.

Because he's going to
identify who this beast is.

One, it says...

That's where his power and
authority is going to come from;

is from the dragon.

Now those are points
that the Scripture gives

identifying
exactly who this beast is.

So we're going to see
some interesting things here.

Because we find that
this beast of Revelation 13

is exactly the same power
as the little horn of Daniel 7.

It's the very same power. Watch.

Now in our

found out that this little horn

would rise up out of where?

It says, "Who shall
arise from this kingdom."

What kingdom was that?

That kingdom was pagan Rome.

Okay, when you
look at the dragon here,

the dragon represents
the power of pagan Rome.

So it says that this
beast would receive its power,

its seat, and its
authority from pagan Rome.

Exactly what the Scripture says.

It tells you exactly where
it starts, where it comes from.

And when you go back in history,
history makes that very clear.

So we remember, this
tells us clearly that Vigilius

ascended to the
papal throne in 538 AD.

"Vigilius ascended
the papal chair in 538..."

And other places in history
says that the Bishop of Rome

stepped to the seat of
Caesar and seized the scepter.

So we find that
history bears this out.

The Bishop of Rome
was put out; Silverius.

And in his place,
Vigilius was put there.

Justinian, who was the
Emperor, never had any inkling,

as far as I can tell,
that this would take over.

He simply saw this as
simply the Bishop of Rome.

But as time passed, the
Bishop of Rome, as history says,

reached out and took hold of
the scepter and stepped to the

seat of Caesar.

pagan Rome gave to papal Rome

seat, and its authority.

So when we take a look at

ascended to the
