Today its going to be 00:01:23.55\00:01:26.05 entitled Depression Unveiling the Culprits. 00:01:26.08\00:01:29.20 And we'll go more into some other 00:01:29.58\00:01:31.02 components of depression as well, 00:01:31.37\00:01:32.74 so but again those who are depressed 00:01:32.77\00:01:34.87 they sense that they are in a dark room, 00:01:35.34\00:01:37.98 they can't get out, there is a blanket of 00:01:38.62\00:01:41.15 fog that's hovering over them. 00:01:41.18\00:01:42.69 That's blocking the clear sky. 00:01:43.40\00:01:44.88 They want to reach through and pierce the 00:01:45.28\00:01:47.87 gloom but they just can't. And so for the next 00:01:47.90\00:01:50.97 coming weeks we wanna help those 00:01:51.00\00:01:52.37 individuals who maybe experience in 00:01:52.40\00:01:54.05 that how to snap out of depression and 00:01:54.08\00:01:57.25 other types of feeling of being blue as well. 00:01:57.28\00:02:00.31 Is there an actual relationship between 00:02:00.85\00:02:03.80 the mind and the body? Well, absolutely there 00:02:03.83\00:02:06.73 is Honey, and I want to introduce for the 00:02:06.76\00:02:10.24 first time in this segment here. 00:02:10.27\00:02:12.57 There is one author we mentioned this 00:02:13.02\00:02:14.39 author before Ellen G. White. 00:02:14.42\00:02:16.89 This author has been published more than 00:02:17.55\00:02:20.46 any other author in the United States. 00:02:20.49\00:02:22.42 According to the library of congress in 00:02:22.76\00:02:24.73 Washington DC, second in the world, 00:02:24.76\00:02:27.74 and this author has written many volumes 00:02:28.37\00:02:30.06 on health and mental wellness as well. 00:02:30.09\00:02:34.76 This author makes a powerful statement as 00:02:35.55\00:02:38.18 far as health and mental wellness is concerned. 00:02:38.21\00:02:40.94 Let's go to our first graphic and let's see 00:02:41.39\00:02:42.87 what this powerful statement is all about. 00:02:42.90\00:02:44.80 It says here, a sick mind equals a 00:02:45.77\00:02:48.02 diseased body, here it is "Sickness of the 00:02:48.05\00:02:51.38 mind prevails everywhere. Nine tenths of the 00:02:51.41\00:02:57.24 diseases from which we suffer hail their 00:02:57.27\00:03:00.23 foundation here." And again the book 00:03:00.26\00:03:02.96 is mind, character & personality volume 1 00:03:02.99\00:03:06.14 page 59. Now, that's a very profound 00:03:06.47\00:03:08.74 statement and at first glance people look 00:03:08.77\00:03:12.32 at that and read that statement 00:03:12.35\00:03:13.72 and wait a minute. Nine tenths of 00:03:13.75\00:03:17.10 diseases have their foundation right here. 00:03:17.13\00:03:20.72 Nine tenths, now math was not my 00:03:21.63\00:03:24.74 best subject. But do the nine tenths 00:03:24.77\00:03:27.34 is 90 percent, therefore it has a 00:03:27.37\00:03:30.02 great impact on our overall health based 00:03:30.05\00:03:33.28 on the health of our mind, nine tenths, 00:03:33.31\00:03:36.97 so therefore, that's why this series is 00:03:37.00\00:03:39.49 going to be very powerful and very 00:03:39.52\00:03:41.21 important for those out there who maybe 00:03:41.24\00:03:43.42 experiencing sickness in the mind, mental 00:03:43.45\00:03:46.59 health, depression etc. Well, I just finished 00:03:46.62\00:03:50.45 reading a book, as a matter of fact it's been 00:03:50.48\00:03:52.38 a little while back a real dear friend of 00:03:52.41\00:03:54.30 mine Dawn that's living in Texas. 00:03:54.33\00:03:56.65 Okay, that's true. She sent this book to 00:03:56.68\00:03:58.44 me, alright, and it was entitled "Telling 00:03:58.47\00:04:00.89 yourself the truth," okay, and I am telling 00:04:00.92\00:04:03.01 you Curtis, it is absolutely fantastic. 00:04:03.04\00:04:05.46 Okay, she did it with a Bible study group 00:04:05.49\00:04:07.50 and they were working through it 00:04:07.53\00:04:08.97 and she sent me a copy of it and 00:04:09.00\00:04:10.37 she send me workbook as well. 00:04:10.40\00:04:11.77 Somebody by the name of William 00:04:11.80\00:04:13.17 Backus, Marie Chaplain. Okay. And there are 00:04:13.20\00:04:15.69 some statements in this book that were 00:04:15.72\00:04:17.23 totally profound, alright. Some reasons as to 00:04:17.26\00:04:21.29 why a person would get depressed or go 00:04:21.72\00:04:24.14 into depression, right. Okay. And one of the 00:04:24.17\00:04:27.75 things it was in here was the fact that some 00:04:27.78\00:04:29.53 of things it was mentioning was a fact 00:04:29.56\00:04:31.60 of something or someone special 00:04:31.63\00:04:34.14 or dear to you actually dies. Okay. 00:04:34.37\00:04:37.01 It talked about finance and talked about 00:04:37.04\00:04:39.24 the loss of money, or not having enough money. 00:04:39.85\00:04:42.66 It talked about physical illness which 00:04:43.09\00:04:45.40 is another thing they can start depression. 00:04:45.43\00:04:47.15 Okay, it talked about the aging factor. 00:04:47.18\00:04:49.72 It talked about accidents that can 00:04:50.68\00:04:52.39 cause this and stroke and then loss 00:04:52.42\00:04:54.91 of physical strength, we know that 00:04:54.94\00:04:56.69 can be a heavy one. Okay. 00:04:56.72\00:04:58.12 Separation and divorce, alright, 00:04:58.47\00:05:00.33 another one and then how about a fear and 00:05:00.36\00:05:03.52 rejection and also low self esteem and that 00:05:03.55\00:05:07.43 was just to name of few and the book went 00:05:07.46\00:05:09.73 on to make a statement, it says that 00:05:09.76\00:05:11.40 any of these events can be an opportunity 00:05:11.57\00:05:15.21 for the devil to slip a few suggestion into 00:05:15.62\00:05:19.36 the person's self talk. Now self talk is what 00:05:19.39\00:05:23.26 we actually say to ourselves and what 00:05:23.29\00:05:25.27 we believe to be true and often times that 00:05:25.30\00:05:28.41 self talk can really get us into trouble. 00:05:28.44\00:05:30.64 Okay. You know, as far as I may say 00:05:30.67\00:05:32.04 trouble, I mean get us into a state of 00:05:32.07\00:05:34.00 depression and on top of that as I name the 00:05:34.03\00:05:36.46 list how about if you had any combination 00:05:36.49\00:05:39.30 let's say you have a death and you have a 00:05:39.33\00:05:41.84 accident, so just compound, and you 00:05:41.87\00:05:43.27 have no money, situation. Well, you know, 00:05:43.30\00:05:44.67 you're well on your way and so the 00:05:44.70\00:05:46.13 statement you've made as we open the 00:05:46.16\00:05:47.53 program up, it so appropriate, right, 00:05:47.56\00:05:49.09 right, so appropriate. Let me I want to now 00:05:49.12\00:05:51.78 that you mentioned that Honey, 00:05:51.81\00:05:53.18 you mentioned I think finance and there is a 00:05:53.21\00:05:55.78 lot of statements from the same author the 00:05:55.81\00:05:58.29 book "Mind, character, and personality" and 00:05:58.32\00:06:01.47 I kind of glance through that, this is a 00:06:01.50\00:06:03.11 chapter just on depression, yeah. 00:06:03.28\00:06:05.99 There is other chapters too that's 00:06:06.02\00:06:07.39 related to that and I found several things 00:06:07.42\00:06:09.75 that she has mentioned, some of 00:06:09.78\00:06:12.21 things that deals with depression, some of 00:06:12.24\00:06:14.82 the culprits. You would not find in 00:06:14.85\00:06:17.86 a text book. You would not find on the 00:06:17.89\00:06:20.39 national mental health association website 00:06:20.42\00:06:22.89 etc, good information there, but this author 00:06:23.09\00:06:26.57 gives us more insight as far as some of the 00:06:27.26\00:06:29.24 causes or culprits of depression. 00:06:29.27\00:06:31.13 And I have the book here with me, I'm just 00:06:31.66\00:06:33.39 gonna read something here in relationship to, 00:06:33.42\00:06:36.10 you mentioned about finance, honey, yes, 00:06:36.13\00:06:38.27 so this is what this author says about 00:06:38.30\00:06:40.58 finance now that you've mentioned it 00:06:40.61\00:06:41.98 because again lot of people sink into 00:06:42.01\00:06:44.64 depression for lack of funds or finance, 00:06:44.67\00:06:48.07 alright, so this is what this author says, 00:06:48.10\00:06:50.47 it is very profound "At times I am called 00:06:50.50\00:06:55.64 to pass through financial perplexities 00:06:55.67\00:06:58.75 but I do not worry about money. 00:06:59.61\00:07:03.30 God takes care of my affairs, I do all that 00:07:04.37\00:07:08.24 I can, and when the Lord sees that it is 00:07:08.40\00:07:12.15 best for me to have money, He sends it to 00:07:12.18\00:07:15.94 me, alright, mind, character and 00:07:15.97\00:07:18.26 personality book 1, page 493, and again 00:07:18.47\00:07:21.83 so therefore dealing with one of the 00:07:21.86\00:07:23.69 culprits of how a person can sink into 00:07:23.72\00:07:26.48 depression, finance, and lack of money, 00:07:26.51\00:07:29.86 and I think it ties in with, having faith that 00:07:30.14\00:07:33.85 if God can take care of the sparrows, 00:07:34.25\00:07:36.39 he can take care of the animals, and 00:07:36.72\00:07:38.46 the kingdom, the animal kingdom and we're 00:07:38.92\00:07:41.68 more valuable than animal kingdom 00:07:41.71\00:07:43.47 at least I think we should be. 00:07:43.92\00:07:45.37 So therefore, God lay down his life 00:07:45.81\00:07:48.62 for us in ransom. He is concerned 00:07:48.85\00:07:51.70 about our needs. He is concerned about our wants. 00:07:51.73\00:07:55.74 He's concerned about our desires. 00:07:55.77\00:07:58.03 He knows what we need. He just wants us to 00:07:58.06\00:08:00.33 ask him in faith, but the thing that He says 00:08:00.36\00:08:03.65 is I do all that I can. So we have a sense of 00:08:03.68\00:08:07.20 responsibility sometimes we may not do all that 00:08:07.23\00:08:09.81 we can or may misappropriate the 00:08:09.84\00:08:13.85 funds that God has allowed us to receive. 00:08:13.88\00:08:16.10 So therefore, I have faith that God will 00:08:16.34\00:08:19.12 take care of us and when He sees that 00:08:19.15\00:08:21.46 I need money. He sends it to me. 00:08:21.49\00:08:23.33 Well, we know that's totally 00:08:23.57\00:08:25.53 a wonderful statement. 00:08:25.91\00:08:27.28 And a true statement. Yeah, that's true. 00:08:27.31\00:08:28.68 A true statement. And some others to 00:08:28.71\00:08:30.08 that I'm gonna save for the end of the 00:08:30.11\00:08:31.59 program that we will be definite eye opener 00:08:31.62\00:08:34.85 wow, as far as that's concerned. 00:08:34.88\00:08:36.25 Well, I guess the question that I would 00:08:36.67\00:08:38.04 have then and probably the audience 00:08:38.07\00:08:39.44 as well and that is Curtis, what exactly is 00:08:39.47\00:08:42.82 depression, and who's at risk? 00:08:42.85\00:08:45.64 Well, now depression is defined as a 00:08:46.78\00:08:49.04 persistent sadness, alright, now it's 00:08:49.07\00:08:53.01 different from being blue having a blue 00:08:53.04\00:08:55.46 day, alright, there is different types of 00:08:55.49\00:08:58.73 depression, let me just deal with the types first. 00:08:58.76\00:09:01.02 First, we have being blue it's not really a 00:09:01.53\00:09:04.82 depression but just having a bad day, 00:09:05.00\00:09:06.86 but the first major type is Dysthymia. 00:09:07.26\00:09:09.70 Dysthymia, you probably haven't 00:09:10.38\00:09:11.75 heard that term, not one of the popular 00:09:11.78\00:09:13.54 terms you probably hear, but it's a very 00:09:13.57\00:09:16.28 mild of case of depression, a very 00:09:16.31\00:09:18.81 mild type of depression, okay, now a person's 00:09:18.84\00:09:21.28 able to function, able to go to work and 00:09:21.31\00:09:23.43 even be sociable, but they're not really at 00:09:23.46\00:09:26.05 a 100 percent at full steam, alright, it could 00:09:26.52\00:09:29.67 be long-term. And then you have 00:09:29.70\00:09:31.47 the second type is clinical depression, 00:09:31.50\00:09:34.17 that can be mild or moderate, clinical 00:09:34.46\00:09:37.20 depression where we'll go into 00:09:37.23\00:09:38.69 symptoms later on about can't even get 00:09:38.72\00:09:41.30 out of bed and other symptoms attached to that. 00:09:41.33\00:09:43.54 We have another type call bipolar disorder. 00:09:43.99\00:09:47.97 Sometimes used to be called manic depression. 00:09:48.26\00:09:50.81 And we have bi, two, so we have two types 00:09:51.49\00:09:53.60 of almost personalities there's another type 00:09:53.63\00:09:56.43 called Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). 00:09:56.46\00:10:02.00 We're gonna have a program just on that 00:10:02.82\00:10:05.11 particular type of depression in the 00:10:05.14\00:10:06.71 coming week, so those are different 00:10:06.74\00:10:08.22 types of depression. Now whose at risk? 00:10:08.25\00:10:10.53 Strangely enough, women are more at 00:10:11.50\00:10:13.34 risk than men, 2 to 4 times more than men, 00:10:13.37\00:10:17.26 okay. Sometimes we assume that maybe 00:10:17.34\00:10:20.35 imbalance of hormones and I think 00:10:20.87\00:10:23.42 without getting too much in trouble, 00:10:24.41\00:10:25.78 I think women we just, they're just wired 00:10:26.02\00:10:28.92 differently than men, absolutely and I am 00:10:28.95\00:10:31.24 just going to leave that alone, okay. 00:10:31.27\00:10:32.64 Alright, so they can probably take any 00:10:32.67\00:10:34.12 more whatever sociable and 00:10:34.15\00:10:35.94 emotional that kind of things so, in the 00:10:36.11\00:10:38.62 elderly we have to always be mind for 00:10:38.65\00:10:40.67 elderly, one in seven elderly over 65 years 00:10:40.70\00:10:43.81 of age is also depressed and 00:10:43.84\00:10:45.92 sometimes due to a loss of a loved one 00:10:45.95\00:10:47.60 which you I think you mentioned before, 00:10:47.63\00:10:49.00 death and that kind of things, so those are 00:10:49.03\00:10:51.33 things that the some of the types of depression. 00:10:51.36\00:10:54.27 I think let's go to our next graphic. 00:10:54.82\00:10:56.19 Let's look at some of the symptoms of 00:10:56.22\00:10:57.98 depression as well. This is the Hamilton 00:10:58.01\00:11:00.03 depressive score. Let's go to the graphic 00:11:00.49\00:11:02.84 this time. Now, we have different 00:11:02.87\00:11:04.69 symptoms and let's look at the first 00:11:04.72\00:11:06.48 symptom first. Is insomnia, this a 00:11:06.51\00:11:09.19 person who's probably sleeping 00:11:09.22\00:11:10.98 later in the evening or later in the morning 00:11:11.15\00:11:13.44 where he cannot get out of the bed or don't 00:11:13.81\00:11:15.65 want to get out of the bed, 00:11:15.68\00:11:17.05 sometimes they can't sleep. 00:11:17.08\00:11:18.93 That's one sign of depression. 00:11:19.43\00:11:21.39 Let's go to our next one, Interest, usually 00:11:21.42\00:11:24.53 a person who is depressed have a loss 00:11:24.56\00:11:26.86 of interest, a loss of activity that they used 00:11:26.89\00:11:30.46 to enjoy, alright, that's another one. 00:11:30.49\00:11:32.74 Let's go to next one, mood, now this can 00:11:32.77\00:11:35.19 be anxiety or feeling sad or feeling grief 00:11:35.22\00:11:41.84 and those kind of things, so just really 00:11:42.25\00:11:44.47 feeling bad all the time. Okay, let's go to our 00:11:44.77\00:11:47.44 next one, anxiety, anxiousness, irritability 00:11:47.47\00:11:53.02 again another sign that the person 00:11:53.05\00:11:55.09 might be depressed. Let's go to the next 00:11:55.48\00:11:57.96 one, weight, now again this can be 00:11:57.99\00:12:00.37 weight gain 'cause you tend to eat you 00:12:00.40\00:12:02.81 know cause just depressed so you eat 00:12:02.84\00:12:04.83 to fill that void or you're not eating 00:12:05.13\00:12:08.64 enough because you are depressed so it can 00:12:08.67\00:12:11.75 be weight loss either or. Let's go to our next 00:12:11.78\00:12:15.17 one, cognition, now this could be again 00:12:15.20\00:12:18.20 not able to make decisions properly, 00:12:18.48\00:12:21.13 not able to remembering names 00:12:21.90\00:12:23.82 or make an adjustment calls so your cognition 00:12:23.85\00:12:28.66 is impaired due to depression. 00:12:28.69\00:12:30.84 Let's go to our next one, energy, people 00:12:31.18\00:12:33.77 just simply those who are depressed are 00:12:33.80\00:12:36.51 fatigued, tired, just don't feel like doing 00:12:36.54\00:12:39.95 anything alright, so a loss of energy, 00:12:39.98\00:12:42.11 and the last one is suicide, this can be 00:12:42.89\00:12:45.33 suicide thoughts and suicide attempts. 00:12:45.92\00:12:50.26 So this is the hallmark of the Hamilton 00:12:50.44\00:12:53.02 Ratings Scale. This has been now 00:12:53.05\00:12:55.45 there for last I guess 30, 40 years this is 00:12:55.48\00:12:57.98 trade mark or the standard of depression. 00:12:58.90\00:13:00.89 Now with those symptoms in mind 00:13:00.92\00:13:03.19 usually to be clinically depressed, 00:13:03.62\00:13:06.12 a person has to experience at least 4 00:13:06.43\00:13:08.24 or 5 of those things for at least two weeks, 00:13:08.27\00:13:12.47 alright, okay, therefore, person said 00:13:13.18\00:13:15.01 to be clinically depressed. Now you want to rule 00:13:15.04\00:13:17.70 out of course blood lab works as far as 00:13:17.73\00:13:21.33 maybe you have a low thyroid functioning 00:13:21.36\00:13:24.06 or maybe low in B12, B6, because that can 00:13:24.41\00:13:27.13 also have signs of depression as well. 00:13:27.16\00:13:29.66 So in balancing all the way round. 00:13:29.90\00:13:31.65 Yes, exactly. From mood swings to all 00:13:31.85\00:13:33.92 the way to, wow! That's kind of heavy... 00:13:33.95\00:13:36.83 Now you've mentioned your 00:13:36.86\00:13:38.23 book about go ahead honey. 00:13:38.26\00:13:39.63 No, I was just thinking then really 00:13:39.66\00:13:41.03 and truly all the things I was mentioning 00:13:41.06\00:13:42.54 earlier as to culprits or reasons is right on target. 00:13:42.57\00:13:46.38 Yes, exactly. And you know, 00:13:46.41\00:13:48.50 I guess you then kind of have to be able to 00:13:48.53\00:13:50.51 still enough or have someone around and 00:13:51.15\00:13:53.10 might even ask the question, you know 00:13:53.13\00:13:54.59 are you okay or you seem to be different, 00:13:54.62\00:13:57.30 you're not like you were before because 00:13:57.33\00:13:59.86 you might even know you are actually depressed. 00:13:59.89\00:14:01.70 Yeah, I think this is what a caregiver or a 00:14:01.73\00:14:03.53 loved one comes into play. See folks and we're 00:14:03.56\00:14:06.59 going to go into this more through, 00:14:06.62\00:14:08.04 authoritatively in the next coming weeks, sure. 00:14:09.02\00:14:11.46 About the person who may see the loved one 00:14:11.49\00:14:13.86 having so many symptoms. You need to be careful, 00:14:14.14\00:14:17.17 you need to urge them gently to do 00:14:17.20\00:14:19.50 something as far as activity is concerned 00:14:19.53\00:14:21.67 and if a person is really clinically 00:14:22.32\00:14:23.69 depressed, they really cannot pull 00:14:23.72\00:14:25.28 themselves up because dealing with 00:14:25.31\00:14:27.06 the mental imbalance as well. 00:14:27.09\00:14:28.65 We will get more to that later on. 00:14:28.68\00:14:30.14 But you miss about some things about 00:14:30.43\00:14:31.80 why people getting depressed and we're 00:14:31.83\00:14:33.59 looking at some culprits and so this is 00:14:33.62\00:14:36.45 a book called "The Mind, character, 00:14:36.48\00:14:37.87 and personality" we read this book before. 00:14:37.90\00:14:40.53 Some of the statements and I want 00:14:40.56\00:14:42.47 to list just a few of these as time will 00:14:42.50\00:14:44.96 allow us as far as some of the 00:14:44.99\00:14:46.84 culprits of depression. Now, again, like 00:14:46.87\00:14:49.03 you said before. This is gonna be an 00:14:49.06\00:14:51.44 eye opened for most people. 00:14:51.47\00:14:52.84 You probably will never thing about this 00:14:53.57\00:14:55.96 first cause of depression, okay, but 00:14:56.29\00:14:59.13 here it is so folks hold on to your seat, 00:14:59.16\00:15:01.36 we'll now find this in a text book or the 00:15:01.63\00:15:03.60 national mental association as well. 00:15:03.63\00:15:06.26 With a closed room, the circulation is depressed. 00:15:07.25\00:15:14.91 The blood moves sluggishly through the 00:15:15.91\00:15:19.53 system because it is not purified and 00:15:19.56\00:15:23.00 vitalized by the pure, invigorating air of heaven. 00:15:23.03\00:15:28.09 Now get this, the mind because of that, 00:15:28.47\00:15:31.82 the mind becomes depressed and gloomy 00:15:32.24\00:15:36.76 with the closed room. That means that a lack 00:15:37.61\00:15:41.09 of fresh air and so therefore, of course in 00:15:41.12\00:15:46.02 the winter time there is more people 00:15:46.05\00:15:48.14 depressed in the winter than in summer time. 00:15:48.17\00:15:49.75 Everything is closed you turn heat up all 00:15:50.09\00:15:52.66 the windows are closed so there is no 00:15:52.69\00:15:54.43 fresh air coming in, so circulation is 00:15:54.46\00:15:57.02 depressed that affects the mind and the mind 00:15:57.05\00:15:59.64 become depressed. And in the morning 00:15:59.67\00:16:01.27 time you feel so tired and sluggish and 00:16:01.30\00:16:04.13 that's one of the culprits of depression 00:16:04.16\00:16:06.89 in Mind, Character, and Personality, 00:16:06.92\00:16:08.29 so that's a eye open and you probably 00:16:08.39\00:16:10.24 might not recognize that or even think 00:16:10.59\00:16:12.62 about that well, that's one of the causes. 00:16:12.65\00:16:14.71 We know in our program we do, 00:16:15.05\00:16:16.44 we go, we travel one of our program is 00:16:16.47\00:16:18.61 called the seventh spiritual stress busters. 00:16:18.64\00:16:20.49 That's true and in that when we talk about 00:16:20.52\00:16:22.50 the importance of air, and how important it 00:16:22.53\00:16:24.67 is and people often surprised. 00:16:24.70\00:16:26.22 Yeah, they are. That we're all kind of 00:16:26.25\00:16:27.86 trapped up in the house and we got the 00:16:27.89\00:16:29.45 curtains down and heat up or the air 00:16:29.48\00:16:31.66 conditioning on and not enough fresh air. 00:16:31.69\00:16:33.16 I am telling you that to have those 00:16:33.61\00:16:35.33 windows open in the evening, before you 00:16:35.36\00:16:37.75 go to bed it actually is a the different feeling 00:16:37.78\00:16:40.02 you have in the morning when you wake up. 00:16:40.05\00:16:41.42 You really have, and one more thing that this 00:16:41.45\00:16:44.34 author says too, and folks so if you're 00:16:44.37\00:16:46.73 listening and if you have symptoms of 00:16:46.76\00:16:49.62 depression, the symptoms we've have 00:16:49.65\00:16:51.02 mentioned or you know someone who is 00:16:51.05\00:16:52.81 depress the number one, one thing, 00:16:52.84\00:16:55.24 one thing you really probably need to 00:16:55.27\00:16:57.11 really do is have your window open 00:16:57.14\00:16:59.74 up in your bedroom. Now make sure that 00:16:59.77\00:17:05.01 the window is not at the head of your bed 00:17:05.46\00:17:09.32 so therefore, you won't have a direct 00:17:09.76\00:17:11.15 draft, make sure the window is either at 00:17:11.18\00:17:13.15 the side of your bed or at the foot of your 00:17:13.18\00:17:15.76 bed, so this is what you need to do. 00:17:15.79\00:17:17.57 We say this in our seminar presentations. 00:17:17.60\00:17:20.19 If you have the head of your bed at your 00:17:20.80\00:17:24.56 window, you need to do one of two things, 00:17:24.59\00:17:27.36 either move your bed or move your window, 00:17:29.04\00:17:32.82 whichever is easier. Okay, now for me is 00:17:34.36\00:17:37.38 to move the bed, alright, true, 00:17:37.41\00:17:39.45 but to have the fresh air coming in and just 00:17:39.48\00:17:41.52 maybe a inch or two the fresh air coming 00:17:41.55\00:17:43.64 in while we're sleeping increases our 00:17:43.67\00:17:46.40 circulation. The brain does not become 00:17:46.43\00:17:48.99 depressed and gloomy and this is one of the 00:17:49.02\00:17:52.33 overlooked culprits and it may not be the only 00:17:52.36\00:17:55.88 culprits but one of the culprits of depression 00:17:55.91\00:17:58.16 and we mentioned about also finance as well. 00:17:58.33\00:18:00.85 And one more thing well I have mentioned 00:18:01.15\00:18:02.52 as well as the clock is ticking like also a 00:18:02.55\00:18:04.61 diseased imagination the same author 00:18:04.64\00:18:07.91 says that as well. We have a disease 00:18:07.94\00:18:10.33 imagination then therefore the whole 00:18:10.36\00:18:13.20 system becomes depressed as well, 00:18:13.23\00:18:15.11 cause of jealousy, envy and grief, 00:18:16.34\00:18:20.19 anxiety, remorse, discontent it depresses 00:18:20.22\00:18:24.41 the whole system the mind is included as a 00:18:24.44\00:18:28.50 matter of fact in the coming weeks we 00:18:28.53\00:18:29.90 have an entire program entitled the 00:18:29.93\00:18:32.50 art of positive thinking. Right, we will deal 00:18:32.53\00:18:35.60 with that as well. One of the things that this 00:18:35.63\00:18:37.62 author points out too is that and this is very 00:18:37.65\00:18:40.28 profound when the word of God is set to 00:18:40.31\00:18:44.96 the side then she says the mind becomes 00:18:44.99\00:18:49.25 dwarfed and cheapened. And in place of that 00:18:49.55\00:18:54.14 we will read material that is not inspired 00:18:54.58\00:18:58.80 is a double whammy, yeah. 00:18:59.01\00:19:01.02 Therefore again those who are depressed or 00:19:01.05\00:19:03.86 is a mild or moderate whatever when God's 00:19:04.75\00:19:07.28 word is set aside again we are inviting 00:19:07.31\00:19:10.84 depression to come into our lives and to 00:19:10.87\00:19:12.92 our minds and this is how Satan controls us 00:19:12.95\00:19:15.59 through our mental capacity. 00:19:15.90\00:19:17.73 So, this is going to be a series of our next 00:19:18.23\00:19:20.09 coming weeks so I want you to stay by for that. 00:19:20.12\00:19:22.39 Well, you definitely want to stay by 00:19:23.00\00:19:24.39 because it looks like we are just getting 00:19:24.42\00:19:26.44 stories in the whole subject of depression. 00:19:26.47\00:19:28.37 Alright, that's right. I know you wonder 00:19:28.40\00:19:29.77 are we going in the kitchen and the 00:19:29.80\00:19:31.17 answer is absolutely we are, we are going 00:19:31.20\00:19:33.55 into kitchen I want you get your paper and pencil. 00:19:33.58\00:19:35.82 We are gonna be doing a squash casserole. 00:19:36.22\00:19:39.13 I am telling you its going to 00:19:39.16\00:19:40.57 be delicious. So stay by. 00:19:40.60\00:19:43.54
