And so you know 00:01:23.16\00:01:25.43 I just think it's just an ideal, a lot of, I do 00:01:25.43\00:01:27.40 special meals are really for different individuals 00:01:27.40\00:01:29.46 but this particular program is dedicated to moms. 00:01:29.46\00:01:33.03 Okay, so this is for you mom, all the moms alright. 00:01:33.03\00:01:35.43 Alright, you know a lot of time I think about brunches 00:01:35.93\00:01:39.86 and a brunch is different because you know 00:01:39.86\00:01:41.46 when you talk about a brunch. 00:01:41.46\00:01:42.86 We're always talking about kind a like on a Sunday, 00:01:42.86\00:01:45.43 kind of in the afternoon, you know past that 00:01:45.70\00:01:48.40 breakfast time, she is laying around, 00:01:48.40\00:01:50.46 just later lay around or study her Bible 00:01:50.46\00:01:53.06 and chill out while the family gets ready to fix a 00:01:53.06\00:01:55.86 special meal. Now, the words chill out for 00:01:55.86\00:01:59.63 those who may not be familiar with that type 00:01:59.63\00:02:01.23 of language it means to relax, so chill out to relax. 00:02:01.23\00:02:04.53 Just in case you were wondering, alright okay, 00:02:04.90\00:02:07.60 okay so now that we're all chilled out, 00:02:07.60\00:02:09.36 we all chilled out, we're relaxed. 00:02:09.36\00:02:11.06 What we're gonna do is to actually go to the 00:02:11.06\00:02:14.56 first recipe which is called Festive Skillet Potatoes, 00:02:14.56\00:02:18.96 it calls for; 2 med onions, sliced thin. 00:02:18.96\00:02:21.50 2 med sweet potatoes, sliced thin. 00:02:21.50\00:02:24.46 3 tbsp canola oil. ½ med onion, chopped. 00:02:24.46\00:02:29.66 ½ C green pepper, diced. ½ C red peppers, diced. 00:02:29.66\00:02:35.20 1 tsp garlic powder. 1 tsp onion powder. 00:02:35.20\00:02:38.93 1 tsp sea salt. 1 C spinach, 00:02:38.93\00:02:43.06 fresh, chopped and that's optional. 00:02:43.06\00:02:45.26 Okay, we're gonna use that in Festive Skillet Potatoes. 00:02:45.26\00:02:50.16 I actually got this recipe from a friend of mine 00:02:50.16\00:02:52.16 in Florida, okay and it was all kind of combinations 00:02:52.16\00:02:55.10 I was surprised that it was white potatoes 00:02:55.10\00:02:57.73 and sweet potatoes combination. Alright, okay 00:02:57.73\00:02:59.86 and so we're gonna go ahead and put our oil in 00:02:59.86\00:03:02.00 and you heat the skillet first so use less oil, 00:03:02.00\00:03:04.83 that's right, is that correct. And that's what 00:03:04.83\00:03:06.23 you're gonna do, that's right, that's right, 00:03:06.23\00:03:07.63 I learned that from you. And we're gonna just turn 00:03:07.63\00:03:09.03 this up a little bit and what's gonna happen 00:03:09.03\00:03:11.03 is we've got our potatoes there. 00:03:11.03\00:03:12.43 You're gonna go ahead and start dicing up 00:03:12.43\00:03:14.33 the peppers, if you would, the red and green peppers. 00:03:14.33\00:03:18.26 I can do that and then I'm going go ahead on 00:03:18.60\00:03:20.23 and once we've got this going, now you can use 00:03:20.23\00:03:22.60 by the way canola oil or you can use olive oil, 00:03:22.60\00:03:26.76 which ever one you chose for this recipe. 00:03:26.76\00:03:29.00 Okay, whatever your preference is and now 00:03:29.90\00:03:32.60 we're gonna take the potatoes and I'm gonna use 00:03:32.60\00:03:34.60 my spatula and I'll start off by getting the 00:03:34.60\00:03:37.23 potatoes ready. So, let's get the potatoes in, 00:03:37.23\00:03:39.96 okay, now any type of potatoes, 00:03:40.46\00:03:41.96 it doesn't really matter, baked potatoes is usually 00:03:41.96\00:03:44.10 what I use, because the sweet potatoes 00:03:44.10\00:03:46.23 is kind of hard and so you want a potato 00:03:46.23\00:03:48.40 that's gonna take a little bit longer to get 00:03:48.40\00:03:50.23 done okay, okay. And what a combination this 00:03:50.23\00:03:53.20 actually makes, now I can tell this dish is gonna 00:03:53.20\00:03:55.23 be very colorful too, it's gonna be very, 00:03:55.23\00:03:56.80 very colorful. Okay, pleasing to the eyes, 00:03:56.80\00:03:59.00 alright-y, we got that going, I'm gonna just turn 00:03:59.00\00:04:02.50 this up a little bit. Now, you can also this 00:04:02.50\00:04:06.33 same potatoes, you can actually dice them up 00:04:06.33\00:04:08.00 small if you want to. Sometimes when I'm trying 00:04:08.00\00:04:10.66 to make not so much more of it but actually kind 00:04:10.66\00:04:15.76 of set something there's actually more potatoes. 00:04:15.76\00:04:18.03 You can just take the potato and you can 00:04:18.03\00:04:20.20 actually just slice them like so. 00:04:20.20\00:04:21.83 So, that you have a combination, this is a very 00:04:22.33\00:04:24.80 colorful dish alright. And how you're doing 00:04:24.80\00:04:28.46 over there, I think I'm doing pretty good, alright, 00:04:28.46\00:04:30.33 I still have all of my fingers, 00:04:30.33\00:04:31.90 still all your fingers, well we're glad to see that, 00:04:31.90\00:04:33.80 oh I'm too I'm glad to see it too, yeah, alright. 00:04:33.80\00:04:36.30 Okay, then what we're gonna is we got this going 00:04:36.30\00:04:38.60 up high, now in this recipe it's not only gonna 00:04:38.60\00:04:42.06 have the red and green diced peppers in it. 00:04:42.06\00:04:46.80 It also has like I said the spinach 00:04:46.80\00:04:48.50 and also has the onions as well. 00:04:48.50\00:04:50.10 And because of course of the time factor 00:04:50.33\00:04:52.73 what we're gonna do is this is starting up, 00:04:52.73\00:04:55.20 we're gonna turn it as soon as it begins to brown 00:04:55.56\00:04:58.33 'cause you wanna brown on both sides 00:04:58.33\00:05:00.30 and I don't hear any, I don't hear any no, no, no, 00:05:00.76\00:05:05.00 I don't hear any, any sizzle at this point. 00:05:05.00\00:05:07.16 I know it's on, I know it's gonna be working okay, 00:05:07.16\00:05:10.66 let's talk for a moment as we're getting this ready 00:05:11.53\00:05:13.56 like I said before that is from a friend of mine. 00:05:13.93\00:05:16.06 Now, one of the things that was really neat, 00:05:16.06\00:05:17.50 it was that they took the recipes, 00:05:17.50\00:05:18.96 she took the recipes, she cut the potatoes up, 00:05:18.96\00:05:20.63 sweet potatoes up in all different sizes, 00:05:20.63\00:05:22.90 and all different shapes and then when she added 00:05:22.90\00:05:25.16 that together, she said we're gonna put some 00:05:25.16\00:05:27.50 scraps together. I said when you say scraps, 00:05:27.50\00:05:29.56 what do you mean. She says well lets say 00:05:29.56\00:05:30.56
