Okay. Lots, lots of money 00:01:39.61\00:01:41.08 is being spent on that. Now the ADA of course 00:01:41.11\00:01:43.40 once again wants to come back out and 00:01:43.43\00:01:44.80 remind us about. Now the ADA is, 00:01:44.83\00:01:46.58 American Dietetic Association. 00:01:46.61\00:01:48.24 Yeah American Dietetic Association, okay, 00:01:48.27\00:01:49.64 along with the Food and Drug Administration. 00:01:49.67\00:01:51.04 We call its kind of warlords when it 00:01:51.07\00:01:52.44 comes to, okay. Nutrition and information 00:01:52.47\00:01:54.48 that we get in the public sector. Right. 00:01:54.51\00:01:56.88 And they made a comment about these 00:01:56.91\00:01:58.28 six fad diets that it wants to remind 00:01:58.31\00:02:00.50 us about diets that do not work. 00:02:00.53\00:02:02.64 Okay, here we go six fads. 00:02:02.67\00:02:04.52 And one that we called, the magic diet 00:02:04.55\00:02:06.19 or we call miracle foods and you hear 00:02:06.22\00:02:08.12 about that a lot on TV and sometime in 00:02:08.15\00:02:10.05 newspapers and anyway they don't work; 00:02:10.08\00:02:12.17 you know talking about they'll burn ex-number 00:02:12.20\00:02:13.97 of calories and all that, that's not true. 00:02:14.00\00:02:15.87 So particular food that just, just does a 00:02:15.90\00:02:18.28 miracle thing. And it called miracle food, 00:02:18.31\00:02:19.68 yes. Okay, whatever that is. 00:02:19.71\00:02:21.08 And I am not gonna name it because you know 00:02:21.11\00:02:22.48 what I used to name things and people will 00:02:22.51\00:02:23.88 be sitting there watching TV and say 00:02:23.91\00:02:25.28 I'm write that down we'll get that makes 00:02:25.31\00:02:26.68 me so I am not anymore tell you now. 00:02:26.71\00:02:28.08 We're not gonna name it okay. Okay. 00:02:28.11\00:02:29.48 And then of course rapid weight loss you'll 00:02:29.51\00:02:30.88 always see articles and magazines 00:02:30.91\00:02:32.28 and television talk about how you can lose five 00:02:32.31\00:02:34.22 or ten pounds a week. We know that the ideal 00:02:34.25\00:02:38.35 way to lose weight is no more than one 00:02:38.38\00:02:40.02 or two pounds a week. Okay let's say that again 00:02:40.05\00:02:42.32 now. We're not talking about five or ten pounds 00:02:42.35\00:02:44.04 a week, five or ten, some talk about, 00:02:44.07\00:02:45.49 but how much per week is safe guide? 00:02:45.52\00:02:47.16 A safe guideline we're talking one or two 00:02:47.19\00:02:48.67 pounds a week, a week. I know you're saying 00:02:48.70\00:02:50.70 that doesn't seem like a lot but if you say, 00:02:50.73\00:02:52.39 let's just say we said before on other program, 00:02:52.42\00:02:54.55 two pounds a week. Okay two pounds a week 00:02:54.58\00:02:57.27 times four that's eight pounds a month. 00:02:57.30\00:02:58.83 All right that's more understandable 00:02:58.86\00:03:01.42 and also the reason why they say that 00:03:01.45\00:03:03.31 you can lose five or ten pounds in one week 00:03:03.34\00:03:05.53 guaranteed is because they know that 00:03:05.56\00:03:08.24 you're not gonna get your money back from them. 00:03:08.27\00:03:09.64 Because you're gonna lose that water weight 00:03:09.67\00:03:11.70 along with water weight you're gonna also 00:03:11.73\00:03:13.39 lose muscle which is very crucial for the 00:03:13.42\00:03:15.16 body system. So that you're not really 00:03:15.19\00:03:17.06 losing in the first initial phase or 00:03:17.09\00:03:18.80 some of these diets, no fat, not fat. No. 00:03:18.83\00:03:21.65 But losing weight. These are no exercise. 00:03:33.24\00:03:35.86 But it gives them permission not to 00:03:35.89\00:03:37.56 exercise and you know all of them, 00:03:37.59\00:03:39.10 those who bought. That's why we wanted do, 00:03:39.13\00:03:40.50 not exercise. Yes. We want that permission, 00:03:40.53\00:03:41.90 Yes okay, goes another one. 00:03:41.93\00:03:43.30 And then of course there's bizarre diets out, 00:03:43.33\00:03:44.70 things like all grapefruit diet. 00:03:44.73\00:03:46.10 Okay, all fruits by itself or some type 00:03:46.13\00:03:51.54 of a meat item whatever it get into that. 00:03:51.57\00:03:53.65 So it's not a way of balanced type diet. 00:03:53.68\00:03:55.78 Cabbage soup. All they eat this brown rice 00:04:35.35\00:04:36.74 continuously. Right. Once again not enough 00:04:36.77\00:04:38.90 nutrition. The body needs nutrition, 00:04:38.93\00:04:41.12 that's ADA's comments to us telling us 00:04:41.15\00:04:43.33 be careful of those fad diets, they don't work 00:04:43.36\00:04:45.75 which bring us inline to this one about the. 00:04:45.78\00:04:48.89 The low carb and is here to stay, 00:04:48.92\00:04:51.00 I mean it's gaining steam I mean it's 00:04:51.03\00:04:53.03 like a snow ball rolling down hill. 00:04:53.06\00:04:55.23 Is a matter of fact. It's gaining momentum. 00:04:55.26\00:04:56.69 Of course on the stats when I was reading 00:04:56.72\00:04:58.26 into article, yeah what is in the stats, 00:04:58.29\00:04:59.66 it was saying, and how many people engaged 00:04:59.69\00:05:01.06 in this? This is from the center for disease 00:05:01.09\00:05:02.66 and control, okay, and prevention 00:05:02.69\00:05:04.57 and talks about the fact that from poor diets 00:05:04.60\00:05:06.35 and lack of exercises actually killed 400,000 00:05:06.38\00:05:10.22 Americans in the year 2000. 00:05:10.25\00:05:12.13 Americans! 400,000 Americans. 00:05:12.16\00:05:15.20 Now when we talk about lack of diet, 00:05:15.23\00:05:17.85 eating right and lack of exercise, 00:05:17.88\00:05:20.14 what we're talking about is that these 00:05:20.17\00:05:21.60 bring on major killer diseases. Okay. 00:05:21.63\00:05:23.55 Heart disease, diabetes, cancer and 00:05:23.58\00:05:26.03 they like all those are a part of that. 00:05:26.06\00:05:27.43 So it's actually major killer diseases that 00:05:27.46\00:05:29.21 come in as a result of you not eating right 00:05:29.24\00:05:31.60 and not exercising. Okay. That figure also is 00:05:31.63\00:05:34.26 almost it seem to those who died from heart 00:05:34.29\00:05:36.26 disease. Are from heart disease. 00:05:36.29\00:05:37.88 Yeah, almost half a million. 00:05:37.91\00:05:39.28 And also 435,000 individuals died the 00:05:39.31\00:05:42.64 same year 2000 from tobacco smoke. 00:05:42.67\00:05:45.03 Oh okay. So it's actually on line with that. 00:05:45.06\00:05:46.76 Sure is. And of course with the diabetes 00:05:46.79\00:05:48.72 running rampant right now. Okay. A 175 million 00:05:48.75\00:05:51.19 Americans are with diabetes, its been 00:05:51.22\00:05:53.32 estimated by the year 2030 that there will 00:05:53.35\00:05:56.68 actually be 366 million Americans that will be 00:05:56.71\00:06:00.37 diabetics. Oh my goodness. 00:06:00.40\00:06:01.82 Curtis in this amount the ADA has already 00:06:01.85\00:06:04.38 said that 58 million Americans are overweight 00:06:04.41\00:06:07.84 and over half of that amount of individuals 00:06:07.87\00:06:10.17 are on some type of diet program. 00:06:10.20\00:06:12.12 And you know that's very crucial and 00:06:12.15\00:06:14.31 critical for us. And not to mention the children, 00:06:14.34\00:06:16.58 because there's a trend for children obesity, 00:06:16.61\00:06:20.12 absolutely, absolutely. So we are the fattest 00:06:20.15\00:06:22.09 nation on earth folks I mean this is not 00:06:22.12\00:06:23.88 one thing we can really brag about. 00:06:23.91\00:06:25.42 And 30 billion dollars spent on diabetics. 00:06:25.45\00:06:28.33 30 million or billion, billion, did you say billion? 00:06:28.36\00:06:30.10 Every single year low carb diets or diets 00:06:30.13\00:06:33.49 in general. That's right. I think that we need 00:06:33.52\00:06:37.17 to define the word carbohydrates. 00:06:37.20\00:06:38.85 Okay, I think you're right that's a good idea. 00:06:38.88\00:06:40.88 And before we can talk about this topic 00:06:40.91\00:06:42.91 intelligently, we must define the verse, 00:06:42.94\00:06:45.32 we know what we're talking about. 00:06:45.35\00:06:46.72 I remember over 40 years ago, 00:06:46.75\00:06:48.12 I was in grade school which means I'm over 40. 00:06:48.15\00:06:50.22 The teacher used to tell me Curtis, 00:06:50.25\00:06:52.24 if you don't know what the word means, 00:06:52.27\00:06:54.03 look at the root verse of that word. 00:06:54.06\00:06:56.70 If you can define a root word or verse of 00:06:56.73\00:06:59.54 a verb then you can define what that word 00:06:59.57\00:07:01.88 means. So now I did that. 00:07:01.91\00:07:03.89 And when this low carb diet came into being 00:07:03.92\00:07:05.96 of course several years ago, really back 00:07:05.99\00:07:07.77 in the 70s or early 70s and I know some 00:07:07.80\00:07:10.87 people were practicing that then and I was a 00:07:10.90\00:07:12.73 former bodybuilder and right before a contest 00:07:12.76\00:07:15.42 before they go on stage and fix their 00:07:15.45\00:07:16.86 muscles they would eat nothing but steak 00:07:16.89\00:07:19.11 and water, about maybe three weeks 00:07:19.14\00:07:21.27 before a contest. And it will cut off the fat 00:07:21.30\00:07:23.81 they'd be real trimmed. I didn't do that but I 00:07:23.84\00:07:26.84 was doing carbohydrates, 00:07:26.87\00:07:28.24 so this was going on for over 30 years 00:07:28.27\00:07:30.44 or so by the way looking at the word 00:07:30.47\00:07:32.28 itself, she say if you can define the root 00:07:32.31\00:07:34.59 verse of a word then you can define 00:07:34.62\00:07:36.51 that word. So let's look at that carbohydrate, 00:07:36.54\00:07:40.45 look at the first part of that word Carbo. 00:07:40.48\00:07:43.83 The word Carbo comes from the word Carbon. 00:07:43.86\00:07:47.25 It's one of most prolific elements 00:07:47.28\00:07:50.32 known to mankind. It's found in all living 00:07:50.35\00:07:54.48 organisms, animals and humans have 00:07:54.51\00:07:58.07 carbon, it's for combustion, it gives 00:07:58.10\00:08:00.82 us energy, all right. Carbon is what fuels 00:08:00.85\00:08:07.03 the body as gas that fuels the automobile. 00:08:07.06\00:08:11.40 Therefore when we taking food that has 00:08:11.43\00:08:13.72 carbohydrates, gives us combustion, 00:08:13.75\00:08:17.11 gives us energy, then we are able to move 00:08:17.14\00:08:19.66 and function. Then when we breathe out 00:08:19.69\00:08:22.06 the by-product of that through our lungs, 00:08:22.09\00:08:24.95 we call that carbon dioxide. 00:08:24.98\00:08:28.61 Now just like the automobile and when 00:08:28.64\00:08:31.21 back in the 70s we have to, the gas was 00:08:31.24\00:08:33.86 about well 35 cents a gallon and 41 cents 00:08:33.89\00:08:36.73 for premium, I remember that back 00:08:36.76\00:08:38.17 in the 70s, we may not find that again 00:08:38.20\00:08:40.05 but anyway, I remember 00:08:40.08\00:08:41.55 some guys they would have a four barrel 00:08:41.58\00:08:43.99 carb under the hood which means more 00:08:44.02\00:08:46.50 energy, more combustion and so 00:08:46.53\00:08:49.02 there is more gasoline. So when a car drives 00:08:49.05\00:08:51.29 down the street the end product of that 00:08:51.32\00:08:53.78 comes from the exhaust and we call 00:08:53.81\00:08:56.19 that carbon monoxide, all right. 00:08:56.22\00:08:59.81 So again carburetor comes from word carb, 00:08:59.84\00:09:03.80 carb, carburetor, carbohydrates, carb, 00:09:03.83\00:09:07.29 carbon for the body. Now the second part 00:09:07.32\00:09:10.52 of that word is hydrate. I want to know what 00:10:25.69\00:10:28.73 is the word of God have to say about the 00:10:28.76\00:10:31.05 carbohydrates. Okay about carbohydrates 00:10:31.08\00:10:34.44 and low carbs and word of God, okay. 00:10:34.47\00:10:36.41 You know the word of God, it has 00:10:36.44\00:10:38.61 principles for living, for relationships, 00:10:38.64\00:10:41.65 for finance and for everything in life that 00:10:41.68\00:10:45.04 we find ourselves engaged in. 00:10:45.07\00:10:47.18 Health is without exception and what 00:10:47.21\00:10:50.42 we eat as well, now this first graphic may 00:10:50.45\00:10:53.63 seem out of place but let's look at it 00:10:53.66\00:10:56.02 first of all. Yes. 00:11:26.16\00:11:29.06 Let me make the connection with you. 00:11:29.09\00:11:30.91 Now a lot of people don't know this and, 00:11:30.94\00:11:32.80 we travel quite a bit and we mention this 00:11:32.83\00:11:35.01 to a lot of individuals and they're very 00:11:35.04\00:11:36.57 surprised. One low carb diet in particular 00:11:36.60\00:11:40.49 has its philosophy based on evolution, 00:11:40.52\00:11:46.40 there's another diet that's not low carb 00:11:46.43\00:11:48.64 and there's another diet out there that 00:11:48.67\00:11:50.04 also base its philosophy on evolution. 00:11:50.07\00:11:54.15 And when anybody or any company or 00:11:54.18\00:11:56.59 any organization does that, it snatches 00:11:56.62\00:12:00.08 away God the creator. Yes. It snatches 00:12:00.11\00:12:04.41 away his authority as far as His creative 00:12:04.44\00:12:07.78 power is concerned. Therefore mankind 00:12:07.81\00:12:11.66 was created by God. Now the other days 00:12:11.69\00:12:14.63 of creation He spoke and is to fast the sun, 00:12:14.66\00:12:18.96 the moon, the stars, the grass, the herbs etc. 00:12:18.99\00:12:22.19 When He came to mankind, the crowning 00:12:22.22\00:12:25.74 act of His creation, He fashioned it with 00:12:25.77\00:12:29.55 His own hands dust from the ground. 00:12:29.58\00:12:33.41 Yes. Then He fashioned mankind. 00:12:33.44\00:12:35.89 Man at that point was a dead soul, 00:12:35.92\00:12:40.32 then God did not mouth to mouth but mouth 00:12:40.35\00:12:43.96 to nose resuscitation. He breathed into man's 00:12:43.99\00:12:48.59 nostrils the breath of life. After that man 00:12:48.62\00:12:54.19 became a living soul. So a soul is not 00:12:54.22\00:12:58.33 something that you have is soul is who you are. 00:12:58.36\00:13:01.65 We don't have a soul, we are a soul. 00:13:01.68\00:13:04.93 Now to say otherwise, it means that it takes 00:13:04.96\00:13:08.26 away God's creative power and that's 00:13:08.29\00:13:11.60 why this one low carb diet in particular, 00:13:11.63\00:13:14.21 He even says that in His introduction 00:13:14.24\00:13:16.59 and other diet that's not low carb 00:13:16.62\00:13:18.11 but it also based on evolution, 00:13:18.14\00:13:20.61 that in itself to any Bible believing Christian 00:13:20.64\00:13:24.85 that is a automatic red flag, 00:13:24.88\00:13:27.73 if nothing else is said. So again we are created 00:13:27.76\00:13:30.90 by God not by evolution. So let's look at this, 00:13:30.93\00:13:34.72 we have God the Father of creation, 00:13:34.75\00:13:37.52 we have Charles Darwin, the Father of evolution. 00:13:37.55\00:13:41.93 God is alive and well. Charles Darwin is dead 00:13:41.96\00:13:47.56 and gone. Yet we choose some people this diet 00:13:47.59\00:13:51.78 and it's based on some of these diets on 00:13:51.81\00:13:54.61 evolution. So that's automatically reflects. 00:13:54.64\00:13:56.99 So it's not based on Biblical principles, 00:13:57.02\00:13:59.41 one diet in particular the low carb and then 00:13:59.67\00:14:01.55 another diet that's not low carb is based on 00:14:01.58\00:14:03.35 the evolution as well.
