00:03:37.07\00:03:39.07 we need to go back to the 1800's 00:03:39.10\00:03:40.90 and what was the health status in the 1800's. 00:03:41.28\00:03:44.12 I'm gonna to give you a few examples 00:03:44.15\00:03:45.58 and you understand what I'm talking about 00:03:45.61\00:03:47.06 number One let me start with our first president 00:03:47.49\00:03:50.74 of United States George Washington. 00:03:50.77\00:03:53.56 In early 1800s he was taken ill, 00:03:54.04\00:03:56.47 he was a very sick and in a health practice during 00:03:56.92\00:04:00.64 that time he call for not the physicians 00:04:00.67\00:04:03.51 but what they call then it's called the Bleeders 00:04:03.61\00:04:07.10 where the physician he came by and they drew 00:04:07.63\00:04:10.58 about 8 ounces of blood from George Washington, 00:04:10.61\00:04:14.75 thinking that blood is to cause of disease 00:04:15.25\00:04:17.64 so they drew blood away from him. Okay! One of the things that 00:07:00.84\00:07:03.29 they discovered was the area of health 00:07:03.32\00:07:05.44 and health reform so the church was established 00:07:05.54\00:07:08.90 officially in 1863 in this area 00:07:08.93\00:07:11.57 darkness as far as health is concern 00:07:11.60\00:07:13.43 and begin to also promote and study about how God 00:07:13.85\00:07:16.89 want to treat our bodies at the temple 00:07:16.92\00:07:19.73 of the Living Ghost so with that in mind 00:07:19.76\00:07:22.23 they were instructed form the word of God 00:07:22.26\00:07:24.48 about Healthful Living and Diet in Lifestyle. 00:07:24.51\00:07:27.17 Now with that in mind honey I know 00:07:27.62\00:07:29.39 you have several texts that are in the Bible 00:07:29.42\00:07:31.18 that is always there, yes yes yes, and 00:07:31.21\00:07:33.94 it has been in the Bible all along, but again God 00:07:33.97\00:07:36.63 just made it aware to this group of believers 00:07:36.66\00:07:39.13 as they begin to study God's word and God gave 00:07:39.62\00:07:41.85 them this information in the unique way. 00:07:41.88\00:07:44.24 So let's talk about the text that you have. 00:07:44.77\00:07:46.80 You know I love the fact you know the Lord God 00:07:46.83\00:07:48.70 know exactly what he was doing as far 00:07:48.73\00:07:50.10 directing us and this ones is coming out 00:07:50.13\00:07:52.02 from Third John, okay, Third John chapter 1 verse 2 00:07:52.05\00:07:55.59 and John is speaking and talking about what God 00:07:56.15\00:07:59.30 has to say about our health, 00:07:59.33\00:08:00.95 okay, and it says, Beloved. 00:08:00.98\00:08:02.59 I wish above all things 00:08:04.09\00:08:06.11 that thou mayest prosper and be in health, okay, 00:08:06.22\00:08:10.55 even as thy soul is prospereth. 00:08:10.58\00:08:12.63 You know, I think about the scripture. 00:08:12.94\00:08:14.45 I think about the fact that 00:08:14.48\00:08:15.85 that it is a balance there. 00:08:15.95\00:08:17.63 You know, God is saying to us that 00:08:18.00\00:08:19.69 I wish above all things that you would prosper 00:08:20.03\00:08:22.15 and be in good health as your soul is prospering 00:08:22.65\00:08:26.80 you know toward the Lord the spiritual 00:08:26.89\00:08:29.53 God is saying I'm interest in your health too okay. 00:08:29.56\00:08:32.22 So these two things go together, the physical 00:08:32.25\00:08:34.54 and spiritual and there is... there 00:08:35.07\00:08:37.39 and they begin to see that from scripture 00:08:37.42\00:08:39.63 as well going that time yeah there is another 00:08:39.66\00:08:41.67 text I like to quote also it is First Corinthians 10 00:08:41.70\00:08:44.09 and verse 31 the bible says 00:08:44.68\00:08:46.41 whether therefore you eat or drink 00:08:46.77\00:08:50.08 or whatever you do, that takes care 00:08:51.36\00:08:53.74 of everything else do all to the glory of God 00:08:53.77\00:08:57.42 and when they begin to read the scripture 00:08:57.92\00:09:00.01 somewhat God wanted to them to do as far 00:09:00.04\00:09:02.08 as treating the Body Temple 00:09:02.11\00:09:03.71 God took them back to the first book of the Bible 00:09:04.10\00:09:07.51 Genesis where God gave mankind his first diet. 00:09:07.54\00:09:11.73 Genesis 1:29 yes and Genesis 3:18 00:09:12.55\00:09:17.07 and in that was also a plant based diet as well. 00:09:17.10\00:09:20.94 So it is very good that God instructed 00:09:20.97\00:09:24.01 this body believers from different churches 00:09:24.04\00:09:25.86 to come together and talk about how God 00:09:25.89\00:09:28.02 want to help them to treat their bodies. 00:09:28.05\00:09:30.07 I think we have a graphic there as well and let's talk about 00:09:30.10\00:09:32.16 this graphic because now the medical profession 00:09:32.19\00:09:35.29 and medical Journalist and now advocating 00:09:35.32\00:09:37.54 a plant base diet based on Genesis 1:29 00:09:38.03\00:09:40.62 and also Genesis 3:18. It will also increase 00:10:36.80\00:10:39.28 coronary artery disease 00:10:39.31\00:10:40.99 and also obesity which leads to diabetes 00:10:41.39\00:10:44.31 was also has Carcinogens which leads to cancer, 00:10:44.64\00:10:47.13 so you can understand why that statement is profound 00:10:47.16\00:10:49.96 about those who take in a plant based diet 00:10:49.99\00:10:52.71 or vegetarian diet they have a low risk of 00:10:52.74\00:10:55.34 all those diseases across the board. 00:10:55.71\00:10:58.13 Well. I though that was really important 00:10:58.64\00:11:00.01 when you just got finished talking about the fruits 00:11:00.04\00:11:01.54 and the vegetables and whole grains 00:11:01.57\00:11:02.94 and everything because we were coming back 00:11:02.97\00:11:04.76 from a trip and we met some people 00:11:04.79\00:11:07.13 on airplane, and it was around that January time 00:11:07.16\00:11:10.17 frame and they were talking about 00:11:10.20\00:11:12.16 the Daniel Diet oh yes and these were not Adventist 00:11:12.53\00:11:16.45 these were another group of people that's right 00:11:16.48\00:11:18.55 because it's speaking about that and they talked 00:11:18.58\00:11:20.76 about they were on a Daniel Diet 00:11:20.79\00:11:22.71 and now we were asking them 00:11:22.74\00:11:24.11 a lot of questions about that and low and behold 00:11:24.14\00:11:25.81 we go home and we go on the computer 00:11:25.84\00:11:27.64 and sure enough there are congregations out there, 00:11:27.67\00:11:30.31 that is going on the Daniel Diet, fruits, 00:11:30.34\00:11:33.38 vegetables, and whole grains. Yeah, 00:11:33.41\00:11:35.51 and let's talk about that because that Daniel Diet 00:11:35.54\00:11:37.54 is unique and again, so it's not just Seventh-Day 00:11:37.57\00:11:40.66 Adventists it's actually promoted by 00:11:40.69\00:11:43.14 a Baptist Pastor in Georgia, 00:11:43.17\00:11:45.50 Pastor Franklin I believe any way the Daniel Diet 00:11:45.95\00:11:48.33 is based on Daniel chapter 1 00:11:48.36\00:11:50.13 and also Daniel chapter 10. 00:11:51.07\00:11:52.65 You just do a Google search Daniel Diet 00:11:53.44\00:11:55.32 or sometimes is called the Daniel's fast 00:11:55.35\00:11:57.40 and this is Baptist, Methodist, 00:11:57.96\00:12:00.02 Pentecostal a lot of people now sweeping across 00:12:00.05\00:12:02.61 the country of ours 00:12:02.64\00:12:04.01 and incorporated the Daniel Diet 00:12:04.04\00:12:05.41 and this is basely a diet of vegetables. The 00:12:05.76\00:12:09.05 word of God in Daniel chapter 1 uses the 00:12:09.08\00:12:12.02 word Paul's this means vegetables and they 00:12:12.27\00:12:15.05 do it for three weeks Daniel's chapter 10 00:12:15.24\00:12:17.49 verse 2 and 3 it talks about Daniel did it for 00:12:17.73\00:12:19.67 weeks or 21 days is this Daniel Diet or Daniel 00:12:19.82\00:12:22.83 Fast. A lot of churches are starting let's say 00:12:23.17\00:12:25.53 the first year or sometimes they start and 00:12:25.68\00:12:28.59 then end up at Easter, okay, and there is the 00:12:28.62\00:12:32.07 cleansing system and they've gained a lot of 00:12:32.42\00:12:37.58 benefits from the Daniel diet. So again a lot 00:12:37.61\00:12:38.98 of churches now go and seeing a how God's 00:12:39.01\00:12:40.38 word has something us say about healthful 00:12:40.41\00:12:41.78 living as well. Now as the Seventh Adventist 00:12:41.81\00:12:43.89 Church God's original diet in Genesis 1:29 00:12:44.22\00:12:49.54 takes in the Daniel Diet 00:12:49.82\00:12:53.32 plus the fruits and vegetables and whole 00:12:53.86\00:12:55.72 grains as well. And not just for three weeks 00:12:55.92\00:12:58.75 but we emphasize this as a lifestyle and 00:12:58.85\00:13:01.78 because of that there has been great 00:13:01.94\00:13:04.17 improvement as far as the health status and 00:13:04.45\00:13:06.33 longevity as far as God's original plant based 00:13:06.47\00:13:09.91 diet. Now again some people saying oh 00:13:10.07\00:13:12.45 Vegetarian Diet I have to have my meat! You 00:13:12.58\00:13:15.89 know and particularly you know you live in 00:13:15.92\00:13:17.29 the south and you know that's the most challenging 00:13:17.59\00:13:20.50 area when it comes to health and lifestyle. 00:13:20.53\00:13:22.40 So but again when we look God's word God's 00:13:22.68\00:13:25.58 word has something say about healthful living 00:13:25.81\00:13:27.52 and with that in mind those who followed 00:13:28.13\00:13:29.93 God's original diet has a degree of better 00:13:30.11\00:13:32.98 health over all. Well I think that thing it is 00:13:33.31\00:13:35.68 really important was that so many people we 00:13:35.78\00:13:37.37 met actually said that they were gonna to go 00:13:37.50\00:13:39.43 past that time at fasting time and they were 00:13:39.76\00:13:41.44 gonna actually stay on it because they 00:13:41.61\00:13:43.10 actually begin to feel better that's true.
