I dread the winter months. 00:00:01.98\00:00:03.35 I just don't feel like myself, 00:00:03.38\00:00:04.81 it feels like I'm in hibernation. 00:00:05.06\00:00:06.72 Well, if that's your case you could be 00:00:07.49\00:00:09.34 experiencing Seasonal Affective Disorder, 00:00:09.37\00:00:13.01 SAD. Okay, I just wanna hear you, 00:00:57.65\00:00:59.52 well I want you to say your. 00:00:59.70\00:01:01.50 I thought you gonna change it all up. 00:01:01.53\00:01:02.90 Well I'll just change it up every now and then, 00:01:02.93\00:01:04.30 just to keep you honest. 00:01:04.33\00:01:05.70 You doing pretty good today, honey. 00:01:05.73\00:01:07.10 Well I'm doing wonderful. 00:01:07.13\00:01:08.50 You're looking pretty good too by the way. 00:01:08.53\00:01:09.90 Thank you, thank you. You're welcome. 00:01:09.93\00:01:11.30 Sad. I want to give you compliments. 00:01:11.33\00:01:12.70 Okay. Yeah I'm not finished, 00:01:12.73\00:01:14.10 lets before we go into this I just wanted to give 00:01:14.13\00:01:15.92 you some compliments you are looking 00:01:15.95\00:01:17.32 very good today. Thank you. 00:01:17.35\00:01:18.72 Okay, now you may go with your suggestions 00:01:18.75\00:01:21.47 or statements. Okay, stay focused baby, 00:01:21.50\00:01:27.32 stay focused. I wanna stay focused. 00:01:27.35\00:01:28.72 Okay. Because you're talking about SAD 00:01:28.75\00:01:30.60 and its you know you were saying you were sad 00:01:30.63\00:01:32.52 as you open the program. That's true. 00:01:32.55\00:01:34.63 And I'm sure, but you know this program 00:01:34.66\00:01:36.29 is also not only for those who might be 00:01:36.32\00:01:38.60 experiencing it, but also for all of us 00:01:38.63\00:01:41.20 who are even listening in because we very well 00:01:41.23\00:01:43.45 could be in this situation and not really 00:01:43.48\00:01:45.14 know we're in it, yeah, you know. 00:01:45.17\00:01:46.60 And again this is part of a series of 00:01:46.63\00:01:49.12 Mental Health Series and we've been talking 00:01:49.15\00:01:52.14 about over the last several weeks about 00:01:52.17\00:01:54.31 depression and Dysthymia and didn't mention 00:01:54.34\00:01:58.28 Bi-polar that's another part of it, 00:01:58.31\00:01:59.94 we didn't cover that. Well that's an alternative. 00:01:59.97\00:02:02.49 Yeah, alternatives to drugs. 00:02:02.52\00:02:04.20 If drugs just not doing their job effectively 00:02:04.23\00:02:07.29 as most people will like them to do. 00:02:07.32\00:02:09.35 And of course with the side affects as well. 00:02:09.43\00:02:11.38 We gave some alternatives for that 00:02:11.55\00:02:13.24 and also about the fresh air and other things 00:02:13.54\00:02:17.62 that we can lift our spirit and to improve 00:02:17.65\00:02:20.36 our mental wellness, so today's topic is SAD 00:02:20.39\00:02:24.87 Seasonal Affective Disorder and we want you out 00:02:25.00\00:02:29.52 there if you are experiencing this 00:02:29.55\00:02:31.64 don't be sad. Don't be sad. 00:02:32.46\00:02:34.80 Don't be sad. Oh what exactly is SAD? 00:02:34.83\00:02:37.82 Well I said before seasonal, 00:02:38.16\00:02:39.93 it's seasonal affective disorder, 00:02:39.96\00:02:43.67 so the first word gives you a clue. 00:02:43.70\00:02:45.26 SAD is, and let me just draw a parallel 00:02:45.70\00:02:48.25 here because we have been talking about 00:02:48.28\00:02:49.65 depression over last several weeks. 00:02:49.68\00:02:51.05 As far as depression and SAD is concerned. 00:02:52.49\00:02:54.30 Depression is a set of symptoms where both cases 00:02:54.76\00:02:59.30 there is a low serotonin level 00:02:59.33\00:03:00.78 and we talked about this in earlier programs 00:03:00.81\00:03:02.87 with the low serotonin levels of course 00:03:02.90\00:03:05.15 we have more of a depressed mood, 00:03:05.18\00:03:07.18 that's the mood hormone serotonin. 00:03:07.52\00:03:10.56 So with depression you have that low serotonin 00:03:10.80\00:03:13.65 level in the system. With SAD you also have low 00:03:13.68\00:03:16.98 serotonin levels as well, but with SAD 00:03:17.01\00:03:20.74 you also have cravings of Carbohydrates 00:03:20.96\00:03:25.11 something that you normally don't get 00:03:25.46\00:03:27.14 with being depressed or being clinically 00:03:27.17\00:03:29.86 depressed. Another thing that's different between 00:03:29.89\00:03:32.44 depression and SAD is that depression 00:03:32.47\00:03:34.88 is actually diagnosed if you are depressed 00:03:34.91\00:03:38.08 over a period of, lets say several weeks, 00:03:38.22\00:03:41.07 alright. And have those symptoms of, 00:03:41.29\00:03:43.41 we called these before of mood and nervousness, 00:03:44.09\00:03:48.64 anxiety, irritability, fatigue, weight gain or 00:03:48.67\00:03:53.31 weight loss and those kind of things filling 00:03:53.34\00:03:56.43 sorry or hopelessness, but now SAD is where 00:03:56.46\00:04:00.78 you can be diagnosed if you're experiencing 00:04:01.04\00:04:03.79 this condition two consecutive years during 00:04:04.09\00:04:09.80 the winter months. Usually between October, 00:04:09.83\00:04:13.59 November to March and April, so it's seasonal. 00:04:13.62\00:04:19.04 Okay, seasonal with SAD, depression is year long. 00:04:19.07\00:04:22.75 Now in the summer time those who are experience 00:04:23.16\00:04:25.80 the SAD in the winter months, 00:04:25.83\00:04:27.63 in the summer time the people are themselves. 00:04:27.66\00:04:29.66 So you see the difference between the two alright. 00:04:30.04\00:04:32.25 And so many things that we talk about 00:04:32.47\00:04:34.62 in depression can also help those individuals 00:04:34.65\00:04:37.99 who also help SAD as well. 00:04:38.26\00:04:40.05 Now of course we're gonna be mentioning 00:04:40.08\00:04:41.66 the word SAD, but that's the acronym for 00:04:41.69\00:04:43.74 seasonal affective disorder, so when 00:04:43.77\00:04:46.60 we say SAD that's what we're talking about. 00:04:46.63\00:04:48.94 Absolutely okay, well I guess the question, 00:04:48.97\00:04:50.86 because you kind of answered that already 00:04:50.89\00:04:52.30 about you know how it's different from depression. 00:04:52.33\00:04:54.08 Right. Okay. So I guess then what actually 00:04:54.18\00:04:56.83 causes it, is the seasons themselves like 00:04:56.86\00:04:59.58 you said the winter months is when you're 00:04:59.61\00:05:01.49 more likely to experience that as well. 00:05:01.52\00:05:03.47 Well and let me don't tell them that too 00:05:04.04\00:05:06.44 and that's true the winter months. 00:05:06.47\00:05:07.84 And not just be in the winters months. 00:05:07.87\00:05:09.94 Okay. But again what causes SAD is that 00:05:10.21\00:05:13.62 there is a deprivation of Sunlight. 00:05:13.65\00:05:18.40 Alright, of course in a 24 hour period of course 00:05:19.30\00:05:23.12 the shortest day in a month or the year 00:05:23.15\00:05:24.89 is what December 21st or somewhere around 00:05:24.92\00:05:28.13 there where it's the shortest day with that 00:05:28.16\00:05:29.95 you have the shorter amount of Sunlight 00:05:29.98\00:05:32.36 exposure on the earth, so again with that in mind 00:05:33.22\00:05:36.36 you have more people are prone to that. 00:05:36.87\00:05:39.26 And so also, its also tend to be hereditary. 00:05:39.55\00:05:42.60 It normally runs in families. 00:05:42.95\00:05:45.21 It's genetic disposition of those who are sad 00:05:45.97\00:05:48.32 and so sometimes the brother, mother, sister, 00:05:48.35\00:05:51.25 cousin whatever, so there is a geneditary, 00:05:51.79\00:05:54.91 hereditary I should say, link to being SAD as well. 00:05:55.24\00:05:59.05 Also the further you live away from the Equator, 00:05:59.54\00:06:03.13 of course there is a higher risk of being SAD, 00:06:03.65\00:06:07.41 so Floridians have a one percent risk of being sad. 00:06:07.84\00:06:12.74 Okay. People who live in Alaska is 10 percent, 00:06:13.10\00:06:16.72 that seems to reason. So again Sunlight 00:06:17.14\00:06:20.27 is the main culprit of not getting enough 00:06:20.30\00:06:22.94 Sunlight exposure. Now a lot of people do not get 00:06:22.97\00:06:26.25 enough Sunlight exposure wherever you live, 00:06:26.28\00:06:28.09 but these people who are sad, called SAD. 00:06:28.12\00:06:31.71 There is a more profound affect on those 00:06:32.22\00:06:35.23 individuals then somebody else. 00:06:35.26\00:06:37.03 And so it's affecting quite a bit of the 00:06:37.06\00:06:40.44 population. Depression affects about 00:06:40.47\00:06:43.17 approximately 20 million. SAD affects 00:06:43.20\00:06:46.00 about 10 million. Wow! Now when you throw 00:06:46.03\00:06:48.87 in the winter blues, which is a less serious 00:06:48.90\00:06:53.02 disease of SAD, the winter blues, 00:06:54.65\00:06:56.76 that affects about 25 percent of the population. 00:06:56.79\00:07:00.04 So you put those together SAD and winter blues 00:07:00.27\00:07:03.92 you're looking over 30 percent of the population. 00:07:03.95\00:07:05.84 So who's actually at higher risk then again? 00:07:06.19\00:07:08.45 Well again like I said before those who live 00:07:08.48\00:07:11.21 close to the equator are at lower risk 00:07:11.50\00:07:14.15 but those who live further away or 00:07:14.18\00:07:15.87 in Northern areas have a higher risk. 00:07:15.90\00:07:18.52 Also women, now we mentioned this before 00:07:18.82\00:07:21.39 in depression women have a higher risk of 00:07:21.61\00:07:24.16 being SAD as well two or four times of the men. 00:07:24.19\00:07:27.50 Also one other thing I like to mention too, 00:07:27.72\00:07:29.80 those who work third shift. Oh! Shift work, 00:07:30.45\00:07:35.30 now of course based on what we just said 00:07:35.51\00:07:37.65 you can understand why shift workers 00:07:37.81\00:07:41.12 have a higher risk of SAD, because again while 00:07:41.15\00:07:46.79 the Sun is up they're sleeping. 00:07:46.82\00:07:49.11 When the Sun is down they're at work 00:07:49.82\00:07:52.40 or they awake. So that's why shift workers 00:07:52.81\00:07:56.09 and it really throws off our Circadian Rhythm, 00:07:56.12\00:07:59.75 right, because our body is on a 24 hour cycle. 00:07:59.78\00:08:02.26 So I remember one time I worked in place 00:08:02.29\00:08:06.76 of a guy who at the hospital 00:08:06.79\00:08:08.61 and he worked third shift. 00:08:08.80\00:08:10.17 I worked first shift and he is a friend of mine, 00:08:10.23\00:08:12.24 so he went on vacation, he said Curtis do you mind 00:08:12.27\00:08:14.93 taking my place at the hospital third shift 00:08:14.96\00:08:17.00 I said no problem. I worked his third shift 00:08:17.03\00:08:20.31 from 11 to 7. I tell you what, 00:08:20.71\00:08:23.84 folks it took me two days to get my body 00:08:24.20\00:08:28.05 back in sync again and I said I love you 00:08:28.08\00:08:31.76 as a friend, but don't ask me anymore alright, 00:08:31.79\00:08:34.72 so shift workers have a higher rate of SAD as well. 00:08:34.75\00:08:38.84 I'm gonna tell you I worked in a 11 to 7 shift. 00:08:39.93\00:08:44.43 Oh the graveyard shift. And it was one of my 00:08:44.46\00:08:46.94 first jobs, okay, and I want you to know 00:08:46.97\00:08:48.87 I was absolutely exhausted. Wiped out. 00:08:48.90\00:08:52.06 It was like when I would go to 00:08:52.09\00:08:54.54 work at night I would have to make sure 00:08:54.63\00:08:56.07 I went to bed early, okay, so that I would 00:08:56.10\00:08:58.03 not be sleeping on the job. 00:08:58.06\00:08:59.71 And then when I would get to go home, 00:08:59.94\00:09:02.02 I would get on the bus to travel back 00:09:02.74\00:09:04.23 to my house and I'm telling you I was 00:09:04.26\00:09:06.05 absolutely worn out. Everybody just looked 00:09:06.08\00:09:07.47 totally different. I had to get off that shift 00:09:07.50\00:09:09.93 and I think I was on there for at least about 00:09:09.96\00:09:12.03 a year or so. Yes. And I'm telling you a year 00:09:12.06\00:09:15.23 was a lot. Okay. Oh that whole year 00:09:15.51\00:09:17.91 I was just absolutely no good. 00:09:18.05\00:09:20.26 And that shift worked you, the graveyard shift. 00:09:20.29\00:09:23.20 I watched the people as they, 00:09:23.23\00:09:24.60 I would go to work and when I came back home, 00:09:25.36\00:09:27.65 they were going to work and after a year 00:09:27.91\00:09:31.06 and half I was absolutely through. 00:09:31.09\00:09:33.59 That was it, it through you off the biological 00:09:33.62\00:09:35.59 clock and you know and of course those people 00:09:35.62\00:09:38.23 who do work the third graveyard shift. 00:09:38.26\00:09:40.94 Third shift there is always usually more 00:09:40.97\00:09:43.27 income of course, but you know you have 00:09:43.30\00:09:45.46 to weight the benefits versus the risk 00:09:45.49\00:09:47.21 and to one's health personally 00:09:47.62\00:09:49.98 I choose not to, but I did that for a friend 00:09:50.51\00:09:53.41 but that was the last time. 00:09:53.80\00:09:55.17 Well I have heard about this, 00:09:55.37\00:09:56.86 a word called the Third Eye. Tell us about that. 00:09:57.33\00:10:00.40 The third eye, okay now this is interesting 00:10:00.43\00:10:02.72 the third eye. Let me go into a little bit about 00:10:02.75\00:10:04.24 anatomy physiology on a 24 hour period. 00:10:04.27\00:10:07.38 And that way people can understand 00:10:07.41\00:10:08.78 what's going on here. In the morning time 00:10:08.81\00:10:11.43 the Sun comes up, when the light strikes 00:10:13.50\00:10:17.27 the eye it goes through and passes 00:10:17.30\00:10:21.13 the hypothalamus gland. This is our biological 00:10:21.16\00:10:24.57 clock. Okay. And it goes deep into a smaller gland, 00:10:24.60\00:10:28.38 the size of a pea inside the brain between 00:10:28.73\00:10:31.93 the two hemispheres called the pineal 00:10:31.96\00:10:34.20 gland alright. Now this gland has the highest 00:10:34.43\00:10:38.84 concentration of serotonin. 00:10:38.87\00:10:42.25 We talked about that in the past weeks 00:10:42.28\00:10:44.46 this is the good mood hormone that's released. 00:10:44.49\00:10:48.36 And with that in mind when the light strikes 00:10:48.78\00:10:51.43 the eye and goes back to the pineal gland 00:10:51.61\00:10:54.91 then it releases serotonin helps us 00:10:55.28\00:10:58.29 awaken from our sleep. Now this reaches 00:10:58.49\00:11:02.46 it's peak around 4 O'clock in afternoon 00:11:02.49\00:11:04.75 give or take, depending on where you live. 00:11:04.78\00:11:06.56 When the Sun goes down, then there is less light, 00:11:07.05\00:11:10.71 more darkness, therefore this pineal gland 00:11:11.40\00:11:15.37 releases melatonin it lowers the body's 00:11:15.71\00:11:19.32 temperature and helps us to fall asleep. 00:11:19.35\00:11:22.93 So therefore the pineal gland also what it does 00:11:23.05\00:11:27.68 is when it sees light, when it sees darkness 00:11:27.71\00:11:34.56 it responds accordingly whether we are more alert 00:11:34.59\00:11:39.14 or whether we are sleepy, 00:11:39.61\00:11:41.30 that's why the pineal gland is called 00:11:41.33\00:11:43.82 the Third Eye. It's very interesting, 00:11:43.85\00:11:47.61 so with that in my mind. I think that's why honey, 00:11:47.83\00:11:50.18 in on a bright sunny day we feel great and happy. 00:11:51.92\00:11:58.03 But as the song writer says rainy days 00:11:58.87\00:12:01.63 and Mondays always get me down. 00:12:01.66\00:12:05.87 Where as not so much, well sometimes the 00:12:05.90\00:12:08.07 Monday because we don't want to go to work, 00:12:08.10\00:12:09.67 but the rain, because of the clouds, 00:12:09.70\00:12:11.55 so there is less Sunlight, so it tends to reason 00:12:11.58\00:12:13.96 that, that's why its called the third eye. 00:12:13.99\00:12:16.00 You know you are talking about anatomy 00:12:16.24\00:12:17.62 physiology and on the serotonin level 00:12:17.65\00:12:19.84 and all the different things that are created. 00:12:19.87\00:12:21.49 This is a God thing, I mean you know he though 00:12:21.52\00:12:23.96 of every single thing. It really is yes. 00:12:23.99\00:12:26.11 You know, so I guess some of the questions 00:12:26.14\00:12:29.98 someone might ask is that, what are some of the solutions then. 00:12:30.01\00:12:32.95 Okay yeah some solutions now again the SAD, 00:12:33.22\00:12:37.87 Seasonal Affective Disorder, is the true 00:12:38.16\00:12:41.53 form of depression, but now there is 00:12:41.56\00:12:44.36 something else that's called the winter blues, 00:12:44.39\00:12:46.20 it's a less serious Sad disease the 00:12:47.04\00:12:51.67 winter blues. And for those individuals 00:12:51.70\00:12:53.67 what may need to be done is simply take 00:12:53.94\00:12:57.01 longer walks outdoors to get more light 00:12:57.04\00:13:01.17 into the system and or folks open up those 00:13:01.50\00:13:07.21 shades pull back those curtains and let more 00:13:07.24\00:13:10.94 light enter into the home. 00:13:10.97\00:13:13.50 Now for a lot of people that's all needs to be 00:13:13.62\00:13:16.59 done during the winter months from 00:13:16.62\00:13:18.53 October to March give or take alright. 00:13:18.56\00:13:20.72 So that's some of the solutions that people 00:13:21.01\00:13:23.36 can get. Now go to quickly the God's word 00:13:23.39\00:13:26.79 I think you have a text or so and lets talk about 00:13:26.82\00:13:30.10 God's word and have to say about Sunlight. 00:13:30.13\00:13:31.89 As you began talking about the chemistry 00:13:31.92\00:13:33.54 of the Bible and what, 00:13:33.57\00:13:35.02 I mean the chemistry of the, anatomy of the body 00:13:35.05\00:13:36.99 and what God has done. 00:13:37.02\00:13:38.68 I mean what he has done, he thought of every 00:13:38.71\00:13:40.45 single thing, yes, to put us to sleep to wake us 00:13:40.55\00:13:42.82 up you know. I just thought about one of the 00:13:42.85\00:13:45.15 scriptures that came in my mind was 00:13:45.18\00:13:46.67 Malachi 4:2. Oh yes. And it says that, 00:13:46.70\00:13:49.12 the son of righteousness shall arise with healing 00:13:49.42\00:13:53.45 in it's wings. Oh yes. And that's two ways 00:13:53.48\00:13:56.53 you can look at that Curtis. 00:13:56.56\00:13:57.93 Number one is that you know every single 00:13:57.96\00:14:00.87 morning that we wake up, do you know that 00:14:00.90\00:14:05.07 God whispers our name. As a matter of fact 00:14:05.10\00:14:09.22 if he does not whisper our name in the morning 00:14:09.25\00:14:11.67 we will not wake up. That's right. 00:14:11.70\00:14:13.42 So everyday he says Ann, wake up. 00:14:13.45\00:14:16.52 Time to wake up. Paula, wake up 00:14:16.55\00:14:18.83 and I thought guys in there too. Curtis, 00:14:19.51\00:14:22.37 wake up. I'm glad you mentioned that. 00:14:22.47\00:14:24.72 And so sometimes we get up in the morning 00:14:24.75\00:14:26.12 you know and we're like oh another day 00:14:26.15\00:14:27.52 and we just start that mood going. 00:14:27.55\00:14:29.49 I'm not gonna get into that, 00:14:29.52\00:14:30.89 because we're gonna go into that about positive 00:14:30.92\00:14:32.29 thinking and what happens but. 00:14:32.32\00:14:33.69 You're right. Everyday we wake up is a gift 00:14:33.72\00:14:35.78 from God. Yes, it is. A gift. Yes. 00:14:36.14\00:14:38.31 You know an opportunity for us just to move, 00:14:38.34\00:14:40.22 so I say you wanna get the Sun on you. 00:14:40.25\00:14:44.33 Alright. And the son of God in you. 00:14:44.44\00:14:47.76 Alright now work it girl, work it. 00:14:47.79\00:14:49.26 Don't get me preaching. Alright now, don't get me 00:14:49.29\00:14:52.23 preaching, don't get me preaching, 00:14:52.26\00:14:53.63 okay lets just giving me some offering 00:14:53.66\00:14:55.03 you keep that up. What does the Bible, 00:14:55.06\00:14:56.43 what else the Bible. As you were talking about 00:14:56.46\00:14:58.39 that I have another test and again based 00:14:58.42\00:15:00.47 on what we just talked about folks. 00:15:00.50\00:15:01.87 We're talking about the Sunlight now again. 00:15:01.90\00:15:03.69 Yes. When the Sunlight strikes the eye 00:15:04.19\00:15:06.03 you don't have to look directly in the Sun, 00:15:06.06\00:15:08.37 when there is light, Sunlight it strikes the 00:15:08.92\00:15:11.61 optic nerve goes back to the hypothalamus gland 00:15:11.64\00:15:14.49 which is our biological clock and goes deep into 00:15:14.62\00:15:17.49 the pineal gland. Some terms, 00:15:17.52\00:15:21.12 we're getting mixed up here, 00:15:21.15\00:15:22.52 but the pineal gland and that releases the 00:15:22.55\00:15:24.51 serotonin or melatonin. Melatonin is called 00:15:24.54\00:15:27.02 the Hormone of Darkness, based on what that 00:15:27.05\00:15:29.66 has been said there in Anatomy Physiology. 00:15:29.69\00:15:32.78 I wanna read something to you from, 00:15:32.97\00:15:34.54 and these two texts are easy to remember. 00:15:34.57\00:15:37.03 One is Ecclesiastes 7:11 and another one is 00:15:37.24\00:15:42.50 Ecclesiastes 11:7. 7:11, 11:7. 00:15:42.53\00:15:47.92 Let's go to the 7:11 first. 00:15:48.00\00:15:49.66 Listen to these words based on what 00:15:49.93\00:15:51.45 we just said now. Wisdom is good with an 00:15:51.48\00:15:55.56 inheritance, and by it there is profit to them 00:15:55.59\00:16:01.08 that see the Sun. That's Sun, see the Sun. 00:16:01.11\00:16:06.82 So the Bible says there is profit for those 00:16:06.85\00:16:09.76 who actually see the Sun. Wow! 00:16:09.79\00:16:12.95 Well we just talked about that profit. 00:16:12.98\00:16:14.45 Now lets go to Ecclesiastes 11 00:16:15.18\00:16:17.21 and verse 7, listen to these words. 00:16:17.45\00:16:20.23 Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing 00:16:20.57\00:16:26.89 it is for the eyes to behold the Sun. 00:16:27.35\00:16:32.34 Now one says that there is a profit for those 00:16:32.76\00:16:35.44 who see the Sun. Another text says 00:16:35.47\00:16:38.17 it is the pleasant thing for the eyes to behold 00:16:38.20\00:16:41.44 the Sun. Therefore that's very good 00:16:41.78\00:16:44.28 as far as that's concerned. 00:16:44.31\00:16:45.68 I think the word of God, Solomon the wise man 00:16:45.71\00:16:47.65 was talking about I don't know if they have 00:16:47.68\00:16:49.71 seasonal affective disorder back then, 00:16:49.74\00:16:52.42 but the point of it is that God has provided 00:16:52.45\00:16:55.17 the greatest light to rule the day 00:16:55.20\00:16:57.40 and it has a profound affect on our 00:16:57.65\00:17:00.44 mental wellness. With that in mind quickly 00:17:00.47\00:17:03.44 let me go to our first graphic lets see what 00:17:03.47\00:17:05.84 this inspired writer has to say about the 00:17:05.87\00:17:07.34 Sun as well, lets go to our next graphic. 00:17:07.41\00:17:09.65 And it says Let There Be Light and the author 00:17:11.99\00:17:15.36 says this quote. "The Sun carries healing 00:17:15.39\00:17:18.59 in its beams. Sunlight soothes, cheers, 00:17:18.80\00:17:23.04 and makes us joyous and healthy." 00:17:23.07\00:17:26.46 Very profound statement. This author also says 00:17:26.77\00:17:29.67 honey that Sunlight is one of nature's most 00:17:29.70\00:17:32.08 healing agents, so the power of Sunlight. 00:17:32.36\00:17:35.90 What if Sunlight is not enough? 00:17:36.19\00:17:39.04 Well again talking about seasonal affective 00:17:39.33\00:17:41.98 disorder where there is very little Sunlight 00:17:42.01\00:17:44.67 during the winter months so sometimes 00:17:44.70\00:17:46.78 for a lot of people Sunlight is just 00:17:46.81\00:17:48.98 not enough, if they have a severe case of SAD. 00:17:49.01\00:17:51.44 Let's go to our last graphic and this is what 00:17:51.72\00:17:54.10 people can do, going to this website 00:17:54.31\00:17:56.65 and give them some information about 00:17:56.68\00:17:58.19 that as well.
