Hi, everyone. I'm John Kent, director of training for 00:00:27.19\00:00:29.69 Adventist Frontier Missions. For the past 25 years, 00:00:29.72\00:00:32.79 God has been using AFM to plant the church in places like India 00:00:32.82\00:00:36.32 Albania, Africa, the Philippines and Papua New Guinea. 00:00:36.35\00:00:40.10 We currently have 85 missionaries serving in 16 00:00:40.27\00:00:43.34 different countries. Now if you were to ask any of 00:00:43.37\00:00:45.91 our missionaries what it's actually like to be one, 00:00:45.94\00:00:48.20 I'm certain they would tell you it's one of the most rewarding 00:00:48.23\00:00:51.02 as well as challenging things they have ever done. 00:00:51.05\00:00:53.99 Papua New Guinea is located in the South Pacific Ocean 00:01:53.98\00:01:57.04 about 93 miles north of Australia. 00:01:57.07\00:02:00.03 The capital city of Port Moresby is an exciting place to be. 00:02:00.06\00:02:03.35 There's a lot to see and do there. 00:02:03.38\00:02:05.49 The first thing you'll notice are the high-rise buildings. 00:02:05.53\00:02:08.53 Just ask the right person, and you might get a bird's-eye view 00:02:08.56\00:02:11.53 from the top of one of those skyscrapers. 00:02:11.56\00:02:13.56 Most of the goods and supplies that come to Port Moresby 00:02:13.59\00:02:16.67 arrive by cargo ship. The ocean is beautiful. 00:02:16.70\00:02:19.67 You'll even see whole villages built right over the water. 00:02:19.70\00:02:22.64 Then go to the marketplace, and there you'll see how talented 00:02:22.67\00:02:26.36 the people are. 00:02:26.39\00:02:27.59 These baskets and crafts you see are handmade by the locals. 00:02:27.62\00:02:32.03 I hope you enjoyed that quick tour of Papua New Guinea's 00:02:40.17\00:02:42.99 capital city. In this program, we want to give you three 00:02:43.03\00:02:45.82 exciting glimpes into the work that AFM is doing 00:02:45.85\00:02:48.91 in that country. 00:02:48.94\00:02:49.94 Here's and overview of what you are going to see. 00:02:49.97\00:02:52.08 David and Cindy White have been working for several years 00:02:52.96\00:02:56.28 as career missionaries among the Gogodala people in 00:02:56.31\00:02:59.09 Balimo, Papua New Guinea. 00:02:59.12\00:03:01.46 They specialize in friendship evangelism. 00:03:01.49\00:03:03.82 It's clear to see that David and Cindy genuinely 00:03:03.85\00:03:07.45 care about the local people. 00:03:07.48\00:03:09.14 Their deepest desire is for their Balimo friends to know 00:03:09.18\00:03:13.24 Jesus as their personal Savior. 00:03:13.28\00:03:15.98 From Balimo, we will take a short boat ride up the Aramia 00:03:16.01\00:03:19.68 River to the village of Kotale, where we will find the 00:03:19.72\00:03:23.36 Erickson family also working as career missionaries. 00:03:23.39\00:03:26.53 The second video report is from the village of Kukea, where 00:03:26.56\00:03:29.73 Dale Goodson and his wife Lety worked as missionaries among 00:03:29.76\00:03:32.89 the Dowa people for more than 11 years. 00:03:32.93\00:03:35.37 Their goal was to establish an Adventist church where people 00:03:35.41\00:03:38.83 didn't just know biblical truth, but applied it to every aspect 00:03:38.87\00:03:42.83 of their culture. Finally, after a 20-hour canoe ride, we will 00:03:42.86\00:03:46.79 reach our last destination, the May River Project. 00:03:46.83\00:03:50.18 This is the most remote place on earth that AFM is working in. 00:03:50.21\00:03:55.26 But first, let's go to Balimo, where we begin our 00:03:56.92\00:03:59.48 three-part series. 00:03:59.52\00:04:00.70 David and Cindy White are 00:04:03.90\00:04:05.17 stationed in Balimo, New Guinea, 00:04:05.20\00:04:06.90 which is a very remote location. 00:04:06.93\00:04:09.19 The only way to access Balimo is by bush plane. 00:04:09.23\00:04:12.81 It's an exciting experience to fly in one of these planes. 00:04:12.84\00:04:16.94 The pilot said he had flown over 4,000 missions and never 00:04:16.98\00:04:21.04 has had any problems. 00:04:21.07\00:04:22.41 As you can see, transportation can be very challenging, 00:04:33.73\00:04:37.01 and getting needed supplies can be an even greater challenge. 00:04:37.05\00:04:40.67 There's no local hardware or grocery store, so most of the 00:04:40.71\00:04:44.18 supplies have to be loaded onto a ship in Port Moresby. 00:04:44.21\00:04:47.69 After a couple of days of ocean travel, the cargo ship comes 00:04:47.73\00:04:51.12 inland up the Aramia River where it arrives near the town 00:04:51.15\00:04:54.51 of Balimo. 00:04:54.54\00:04:55.65 It's dry season, and water levels are low, so David 00:04:56.58\00:04:59.51 and Steve have to drive their small boat through 00:04:59.54\00:05:02.35 several miles of shallow waterways in order to meet 00:05:02.39\00:05:05.17 the big ship and get their supplies. 00:05:05.20\00:05:07.42 It's exciting when the ship finally does arrive. 00:05:12.00\00:05:14.83 Soxie helps guide the boat alongside of the ship. 00:05:14.86\00:05:17.74 David and Steve are eager to see if everything they 00:05:17.78\00:05:20.58 ordered has come because this ship contains precious cargo. 00:05:20.62\00:05:24.10 They are unloading construction materials like cement and 00:05:24.13\00:05:27.49 foundation poles for a new church that's being built in 00:05:27.52\00:05:30.98 Balimo. And because of many generous donors, supplies have 00:05:31.02\00:05:34.45 been purchased, and the church will soon be finished where 00:05:34.48\00:05:37.74 new believers can come every Sabbath and worship Jesus, 00:05:37.77\00:05:40.99 the source of the true River of Life. 00:05:41.03\00:05:43.48 Balimo is situated on the western banks of the 00:05:47.15\00:05:49.73 Aramia River and is home to the Gogodala cultural group 00:05:49.77\00:05:52.98 known for their artistic skills in carving huge wooden canoes. 00:05:53.01\00:05:57.00 The larger of these canoes can carry over 40 grown men 00:05:57.04\00:06:00.18 at any one time, and they use them to travel the massive 00:06:00.22\00:06:03.39 waterways of the Papuan delta. 00:06:03.42\00:06:05.49 One of the highlights of Gogodalan culture is the annual 00:06:06.79\00:06:10.71 canoe race. Up to 40 grown men stand upright in one canoe 00:06:10.75\00:06:14.64 as they paddle in unison to win the race. 00:06:14.67\00:06:17.75 It's an incredible sight to see. 00:06:17.79\00:06:19.90 After the canoe is carved, they paint them with colorful designs 00:06:21.04\00:06:24.29 to appease the spirits that they believe inhabit the canoe. 00:06:24.33\00:06:27.61 Even the paddles are skillfully etched and painted with symbols 00:06:27.95\00:06:31.35 of spirits who are asked to inhabit them. 00:06:31.38\00:06:33.89 Animism is the predominant religion of the Gogodala. 00:06:43.21\00:06:46.17 They believe spirits inhabit everything. 00:06:46.21\00:06:48.50 The whole purpose of life is to try and manipulate the 00:06:48.53\00:06:51.45 spirits to either give them good fortune or to leave them alone. 00:06:51.49\00:06:55.59 The day of the race has arrived. It's 4 a. m. and the people are 00:07:06.20\00:07:10.30 excited. They call on spirits to give them speed for the race. 00:07:10.33\00:07:14.40 While some perform rituals to keep away bad spirits, 00:07:14.44\00:07:17.80 others familiar with Christianity call upon God to 00:07:17.83\00:07:21.16 bless them as well. 00:07:21.20\00:07:22.75 The winning team will receive several thousand dollars. 00:07:22.79\00:07:26.20 Months of preparation are and practice are on the line. 00:07:27.55\00:07:30.90 It's amazing how they can paddle these huge canoes and 00:07:32.34\00:07:35.65 stand at the same time without falling out. 00:07:35.69\00:07:38.43 The end of the race determines a winner; however, there's a 00:07:49.25\00:07:52.61 dispute. The team that came in second accuses the winning 00:07:52.64\00:07:55.96 team of casting magic on their canoe, preventing them 00:07:55.99\00:07:59.30 from winning the race. 00:07:59.34\00:08:00.43 A huge fight quickly erupts, involving not only the racing 00:08:00.46\00:08:04.44 teams, but hundreds of villagers on the shore. 00:08:04.47\00:08:07.32 They grab sticks and rocks and anything they can get their 00:08:08.15\00:08:11.07 hands on and throw them at each other, or beat up 00:08:11.11\00:08:13.76 anyone not quick enough to get away. 00:08:13.80\00:08:15.91 No one was seriously injured when the fight was over. 00:08:15.94\00:08:18.93 What a miracle that was. 00:08:18.97\00:08:21.09 These people depend on the river. 00:08:25.50\00:08:27.25 It's the essence of their lives. 00:08:27.28\00:08:28.96 They fish in the water; they bathe in its shores; 00:08:28.99\00:08:31.78 they play in the mud banks and swim in its eddies. 00:08:31.82\00:08:34.69 They hunt wild game near its banks, such as crocodiles 00:08:34.73\00:08:37.57 eels, fish and birds. 00:08:37.61\00:08:39.61 Yet will all their sustenance coming from this life-giving 00:08:40.58\00:08:44.00 source, they are left wanting more. They seek a better way 00:08:44.03\00:08:47.41 for meaning in life. 00:08:47.45\00:08:48.46 They are in search of the River of Life. 00:08:48.49\00:08:51.25 Working out here has really been a blessing. 00:08:52.12\00:08:54.39 It's actually very exciting 00:08:54.43\00:08:56.38 because we are now having 00:08:56.42\00:08:58.24 groups of people that are 00:08:58.28\00:09:00.04 wanting to become Seventh-day Adventists. 00:09:00.07\00:09:02.42 Around the area, they've heard about our work here, 00:09:02.46\00:09:05.83 and now they're asking for us to send missionaries into 00:09:05.87\00:09:09.21 their villages to teach them. They want to raise up a church 00:09:09.25\00:09:12.46 in their villages. 00:09:12.50\00:09:13.78 The greatest joy I have is 00:09:19.48\00:09:23.00 when I can share with some 00:09:23.03\00:09:26.49 of the local men and ladies here about Jesus. 00:09:26.52\00:09:30.51 We've got three men that are all ordained elders in the 00:09:35.95\00:09:40.95 Balimo church. These three men are a direct result of the 00:09:40.98\00:09:45.85 efforts Adventist Frontiers made in the past. 00:09:45.89\00:09:49.24 One was given literature by Jeff Bishop, and the other two 00:09:50.40\00:09:55.73 were brought in by Jean Cader and his effort in the Upper Room 00:09:55.77\00:10:00.89 Jean did a lot of good work. And then followed not too long 00:10:02.57\00:10:08.20 after Jean was Joe Beasley, who had the Upper Room school. 00:10:08.23\00:10:12.73 And the Upper Room was a real popular school in this area. 00:10:12.77\00:10:17.57 The three men are Peter, Paul and Wamasy. 00:10:17.60\00:10:22.89 And out of the three, Wamasy is probably the rising star. 00:10:22.92\00:10:28.11 He is gifted relationally. 00:10:28.15\00:10:30.76 He is the pulse of the church here, and because of his 00:10:30.79\00:10:34.60 efforts, this church is coming up in a strong way. 00:10:34.63\00:10:38.40 The work of the Upper Room resuted in many people giving 00:11:01.60\00:11:05.14 their hearts to Jesus. After many years of spirit worship, 00:11:05.17\00:11:08.65 they gladly gave their hearts over to the One who fills their 00:11:08.68\00:11:12.47 life with joy and peace. 00:11:12.50\00:11:14.60 Now they belong to a family of believers, and together 00:11:14.64\00:11:17.71 they look forward to Jesus' soon return. 00:11:17.75\00:11:20.48 We've spent many years now studying the culture, 00:11:42.03\00:11:47.42 trying to determine where the holes are in the culture. 00:11:47.45\00:11:50.98 It's like we want to spread a gospel net and catch them 00:11:51.01\00:11:55.92 in the net and win souls. One of my favorite verses is 00:11:55.96\00:12:00.83 that Jesus said, "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men." 00:12:00.87\00:12:05.55 Well, we have to make sure that the net that we throw 00:12:05.58\00:12:09.72 doesn't have any holes in it. And so, as we look at the 00:12:09.76\00:12:13.86 the gospel and the way we present the gospel, 00:12:13.89\00:12:18.01 in a western fashion, we see there are very big holes 00:12:18.04\00:12:21.11 and that people will go right through those holes. 00:12:21.15\00:12:24.15 And so, we've been sitting here trying to plug up all the holes 00:12:24.19\00:12:27.89 and see how we can present the gospel that when we finally 00:12:27.92\00:12:32.08 throw that net, we are going to catch them. 00:12:32.12\00:12:34.71 Kingsley tells us how the sound 00:13:18.35\00:13:20.15 of an early morning church bell 00:13:20.18\00:13:21.95 led him and his whole family 00:13:21.98\00:13:23.65 to a new life with Jesus. 00:13:23.68\00:13:25.45 The bell was the witness. 00:13:25.88\00:13:27.51 It was ringing so uniquely every time. That tuned our 00:13:27.55\00:13:30.86 ears to that church, the Seventh day church which I am now in. 00:13:30.90\00:13:34.63 The sound of the bell guided Kingsley and his family to 00:13:34.66\00:13:37.96 church that Sabbath morning. Since that day, the entire 00:13:38.00\00:13:41.23 family has given their lives to Jesus. No longer does gambling 00:13:41.26\00:13:45.29 or alcohol have a hold on Kingsley's life. 00:13:45.32\00:13:47.79 Let's listen now as Kingsley explains how he feels about 00:13:47.82\00:13:51.62 the work that Adventist Frontier Missions is doing in that area. 00:13:51.66\00:13:55.97 I tell you, they really changed the lives of the people here. 00:13:56.01\00:14:00.06 I always encourage my church members: once they are here, 00:14:00.09\00:14:04.11 use them to the fullest. And I always tell them, 00:14:04.14\00:14:07.96 Look up to them and ask them as many questions as you can. 00:14:07.99\00:14:10.60 So that we can learn from them and what they introduce 00:14:10.63\00:14:13.20 to us, we will carry on from there and we will go 00:14:13.24\00:14:16.59 extending the gospel of Jesus Christ. 00:14:16.63\00:14:19.90 It's encouraging to hear the passion Kingsley has in sharing 00:14:19.93\00:14:23.32 the gospel with others. Planting Adventist churches 00:14:23.36\00:14:26.26 totatlly operated by local people is the ultimate goal 00:14:26.30\00:14:29.90 of AFM. Now, don't go away. There's much more to come. 00:14:29.93\00:14:33.50 We will be back in a few moments with the rest of our story. 00:14:33.53\00:14:36.22 You know, most people don't think about darkness unless 00:14:40.81\00:14:43.47 we are in it. 00:14:43.50\00:14:44.47 Darkness is a place of shadows and fears, 00:14:45.06\00:14:49.83 of things unknown. 00:14:49.87\00:14:51.95 It's a place where we go to hide. 00:14:51.98\00:14:56.18 A place where we wonder who's out there. 00:14:56.93\00:14:59.53 A place of uncertainty. 00:14:59.56\00:15:00.96 In John chapter 8, verse 12, Jesus declares, 00:15:00.99\00:15:03.99 So God steps into the picture, light dispells darkness. 00:15:09.05\00:15:13.70 Life destroys death. 00:15:13.73\00:15:16.64 Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness. 00:15:16.67\00:15:21.48 Have you ever wondered why the Bible spends so 00:15:21.51\00:15:26.12 much time talking about light and darkness? 00:15:26.16\00:15:30.69 Could it be that behind the veil of darkness are faces? 00:15:30.73\00:15:35.95 Faces of people with hearts and families? 00:15:35.99\00:15:40.92 Faces of people that God loves? 00:15:40.96\00:15:45.12 Jesus said, "You are the light of the world. " 00:15:45.15\00:15:50.05 Will you go and bring the light 00:15:50.09\00:15:53.86 to the people God loves? 00:15:53.89\00:15:56.97 Welcome back to the second half of our video report 00:16:12.61\00:16:15.20 from Papua New Guinea. We go now to the village 00:16:15.24\00:16:17.93 of Kotale, where Steve and Laurie Erickson and their 00:16:17.96\00:16:20.22 daughters are serving as career church-planting missionaries 00:16:20.25\00:16:23.18 among the Gogodala. 00:16:23.22\00:16:25.10 I just felt the need to 00:16:53.57\00:16:55.96 do something more for God. 00:16:56.00\00:16:58.10 I was the head elder of our 00:16:58.14\00:17:00.21 church, and I wanted to work 00:17:00.24\00:17:02.71 full-time for God. So when this opportunity came up, 00:17:02.74\00:17:05.87 I believe God opened the doors for this. 00:17:05.90\00:17:09.89 So I had prayed for a break, and God opened the doors. 00:17:09.92\00:17:15.72 So here we are today. 00:17:15.75\00:17:18.43 We weren't going to be happy if we didn't go where 00:17:18.46\00:17:20.63 God wanted us to be. If we had stayed at our home 00:17:20.67\00:17:23.38 where we were, I know we wouldn't have been happy. 00:17:23.42\00:17:26.13 And life is challenging out here. 00:17:26.26\00:17:29.00 There's no doubt about it. 00:17:29.04\00:17:30.55 But I feel very content. I'm very happy to be here. 00:17:30.58\00:17:34.57 Living in the village here is much different than living 00:17:36.98\00:17:41.38 in America in that we live here, we are part of the village, 00:17:41.42\00:17:45.74 and people come and, I'll never forget standing 00:17:45.78\00:17:51.19 at the kitchen window washing dishes and 00:17:51.23\00:17:54.79 there would be group of people sitting in our front yard just 00:17:54.82\00:17:58.87 outside the window, facing our house and watching 00:17:58.91\00:18:02.70 the window as if they were watching a soap opera on TV. 00:18:02.74\00:18:07.04 And it just drove me nuts. 00:18:07.08\00:18:10.13 And I kind of have gotten used to that, and the people have 00:18:10.17\00:18:15.54 kind of gotten used to us, so they don't do that 00:18:15.57\00:18:17.15 quite as much. 00:18:17.18\00:18:18.31 One of the happiest things for me that makes me very proud 00:18:18.35\00:18:21.31 as a mother is to watch my girls interact with other 00:18:21.34\00:18:25.30 young girls and wanting to lead them to Jesus. 00:18:25.33\00:18:29.34 They've had the opportunity already to lead one girl 00:18:29.37\00:18:32.38 to baptism, and they are studying the Bible with 00:18:32.42\00:18:35.35 another friend. And they have their own Sabbath School class. 00:18:35.39\00:18:39.21 They've grown so much spiritually and as leaders 00:18:39.25\00:18:42.97 I can just see them growing tremendously, and it's been 00:18:43.01\00:18:47.61 a great experience for them to take these responsibilities on. 00:18:47.64\00:18:51.22 Johanna and Karin begin each morning with worship 00:18:53.30\00:18:55.81 reading the Bible and praying for their Heavenly 00:18:55.85\00:18:58.56 Father to guide the day. They both have school work 00:18:58.60\00:19:01.28 to do every morning, and their favorite subject is science. 00:19:01.32\00:19:04.55 Johanna has learned how to bake bread. She especially 00:19:06.40\00:19:09.70 likes to do this for the family. Homemade bread 00:19:09.73\00:19:12.58 tastes extra good in the mission field. 00:19:12.62\00:19:14.74 It's dry season, so Karin helps her dad get water from the 00:19:16.71\00:19:19.80 local village well. It's good exercise 00:19:19.83\00:19:22.15 and it's a nice time to talk with friends. 00:19:22.19\00:19:24.47 Getting water is hard work, so they are sure to use 00:19:26.15\00:19:28.95 water only on things that are needed. 00:19:28.98\00:19:31.68 Karin and Johanna love to play games with the local children. 00:19:33.40\00:19:36.47 They treat them with the same love and compassion as they 00:19:36.50\00:19:39.53 would their own family members. They consider it 00:19:39.57\00:19:42.49 a privilege to be accepted and trusted by the local people. 00:19:42.52\00:19:45.66 These friendships have opened the door for them to share 00:19:45.69\00:19:48.79 Jesus with many of the villagers. They use their 00:19:48.83\00:19:52.13 talents to praise God, and their Christian example has led 00:19:52.16\00:19:55.70 many young people to the same wonderful Jesus 00:19:55.73\00:19:58.23 that they know and love. 00:19:58.27\00:19:59.81 While being out here, 00:20:00.53\00:20:01.77 we decided to start a choir, 00:20:01.80\00:20:04.33 a girls choir to sing for the 00:20:04.37\00:20:06.83 camp meeting. And one girl named Lucy, she decided 00:20:06.87\00:20:11.35 to join. And because of that, she has been coming to 00:20:11.39\00:20:15.84 church every Sabbath faithfully, and we've 00:20:15.88\00:20:18.97 been giving her Bible studies. 00:20:19.00\00:20:21.36 Holy, holy, holy, holy. 00:20:25.27\00:20:30.01 Lord God almighty, 00:20:32.75\00:20:38.71 which was, and is, and is to come. 00:20:39.21\00:20:43.14 When I go back to the States, 00:20:43.18\00:20:44.63 We are going to be going next 00:20:44.66\00:20:47.01 year for a break, and what we 00:20:47.05\00:20:49.58 really miss there is Taco Bell. 00:20:49.62\00:20:52.08 That's one of our favorite places to eat. 00:20:52.12\00:20:55.49 The things that are different about living here 00:20:55.52\00:20:58.04 are people in the States - we 00:20:58.17\00:21:01.32 tend to be rushing, trying to 00:21:01.36\00:21:04.44 get to a meeting on time. But people here, they don't 00:21:04.47\00:21:08.47 care how long it takes them to get somewhere. 00:21:08.50\00:21:11.49 Time doesn't really mean anything to them. 00:21:11.52\00:21:14.44 When I was back home in the States, I was mostly 00:21:14.48\00:21:18.60 trying to impress people, but then when I came here, 00:21:18.64\00:21:22.73 life is simple, and the people are humble. 00:21:22.76\00:21:26.54 And because we are right in the middle of nature, 00:21:26.58\00:21:29.59 somehow it just drew me closer to God. 00:21:29.63\00:21:33.59 And I really changed when I came out here. 00:21:33.63\00:21:37.90 And I just think that if anybody goes to the 00:21:37.93\00:21:41.99 mission field, it's going to change their lives. 00:21:42.02\00:21:46.04 Elsie really loves Jesus, and she wanted to be baptized 00:22:03.15\00:22:06.18 with her friend Johanna. But she kept getting sick. 00:22:06.22\00:22:09.19 So Elsie's dad had Laurie Erickson come and check 00:22:09.23\00:22:12.28 on Elsie. Laurie thought she had malaria, but looking 00:22:12.31\00:22:15.42 further, Laurie discovered that Elsie had appendicitis. 00:22:15.46\00:22:18.45 So they took Elsie to Port Moresby where she could get 00:22:18.49\00:22:21.45 the surgery that she needed. 00:22:21.48\00:22:23.26 For a long time, Nasa was considered to be the meanest 00:22:55.55\00:22:58.36 person in the village of Kotale. He was known 00:22:58.39\00:23:01.00 for being a thief. One day he broke into 00:23:01.03\00:23:03.51 a house and stole a radio. He thought he had gotten 00:23:03.55\00:23:06.08 away with it until some people came knocking at 00:23:06.11\00:23:08.58 his door asking if he knew anything about the stolen 00:23:08.61\00:23:11.54 radio. Of course, Nasa denied it. That is, until the men came 00:23:11.58\00:23:15.53 in to do some investigation of their own. 00:23:15.57\00:23:18.01 Sure enough, they found the missing radio, and they 00:23:18.04\00:23:20.64 threatened to beat him up if he didn't stop stealing 00:23:20.68\00:23:23.61 things. A few days later, Nasa couldn't help himself. 00:23:23.65\00:23:26.46 He had stolen chickens before, and he thought it would be 00:23:26.49\00:23:29.70 easy pickings. This time, some angry people were waiting 00:23:29.74\00:23:32.77 for him. They decided to chase the chicken thief down 00:23:32.80\00:23:35.80 and end his life. 00:23:35.84\00:23:37.61 The angry mob looked for Nasa everywhere. They were going 00:23:51.26\00:23:53.98 to chop him to pieces. But God had a different 00:23:54.01\00:23:56.72 plan for Nasa. 00:23:56.75\00:23:58.36 I know many of you are praying for us. 00:24:28.34\00:24:30.44 And we would just ask that you continue your prayers 00:24:30.47\00:24:34.11 for us because there is a spirtual battle going 00:24:34.15\00:24:37.41 on out here, and prayers make a difference. 00:24:37.44\00:24:40.63 And I would like to say a prayer just now for you. 00:24:40.67\00:24:45.55 If you would just bow your head with me, let's pray. 00:24:45.59\00:24:50.44 Father in heaven, thank You for being with us today. 00:24:51.55\00:24:55.99 Lord, we have answered Your call to go to the far corners 00:24:56.03\00:25:00.78 of the earth. I want to pray for each one of the viewers 00:25:00.81\00:25:05.53 that You will touch their hearts. I know there are 00:25:05.56\00:25:08.79 some out there that You have been working on their 00:25:08.83\00:25:12.18 hearts, preparing them to work as missionaries. 00:25:12.21\00:25:15.50 Lord, we just pray that You will work out their situation 00:25:15.53\00:25:18.49 so that they can fulfill Your purpose, so this gospel 00:25:18.53\00:25:21.95 can reach the whole world, and then we will see 00:25:21.99\00:25:25.85 Jesus come. And so, Lord, we commit our lives to You 00:25:25.89\00:25:30.12 and ask for Your will to be done. In Jesus' name, amen. 00:25:30.16\00:25:34.36 I want to thank you in advance for your prayers and 00:25:35.78\00:25:38.32 financial support. They are greatly needed as well as 00:25:38.36\00:25:41.25 greatly appreciated. We end our program today with this 00:25:41.28\00:25:44.24 special music from the Balimo Seventh-day Adventist church 00:25:44.28\00:25:47.21 in Papua New Guinea. 00:25:47.24\00:25:49.90 It's a moment that I will never forget in my life. 00:26:33.74\00:26:36.24 How they talked to us, how they loved us. 00:26:36.27\00:26:38.73 I came into an atmosphere, and I felt that I was 00:26:38.77\00:26:42.48 already coming home. 00:26:42.52\00:26:43.49 And I'm just very happy to join the family of God. 00:26:43.50\00:26:46.77 It's so wonderful and nice. 00:26:46.81\00:26:49.15 Sweet home. 00:26:50.52\00:26:54.84 It will be a sweet home for the Gogodala when they reach 00:26:56.76\00:26:59.70 heaven. The Whites and Ericksons have dedicated 00:26:59.74\00:27:02.47 their lives to bringing the gospel to the Gogodala, 00:27:02.50\00:27:05.19 a people truly searching for the River of Life. 00:27:05.23\00:27:08.08 Please keep them in your prayers.
