fell to the floor of their hut,

to a remote, secluded place

altar. When I was finished,

jeep and I started it up

Sabbath, Curtis was
driving the jeep. During the dry

season, we like to use the
shortcut through the Patrick

River. The problem is there are
some deep canals that you have

to go in. And it had rained
the night before, I believe,
00:11:40.50\00:11:43.74
so there was
lots of water there.

Curtis had a jeep
full of about 60-70 people,

so it was really loaded down.

And I think what happened
is when it went down into the

water, it sucked up some
of the water into the air

filter. And when it did
that, it tried to burn the water

which raised the crankcase
pressure and it blew the oil

that happened, the increased

pressure as he drove along...
the oil was just coming out

of the engine. He kept on
driving, went to Sablayan,

people got off, we had a real
good fellowship. We had some

baptisms. At about four-o'clock
in the afternoon, they all

piled back on the
jeep, and the jeep went back

through all
those river crossings.

Well, Sunday morning I
went to use the jeep and I

I have worked in the
automotive industry for

and I have seen a lot of

gone through deep water and

sucked up water in
the air intake systems.

I have never actually
seen an engine run once

it got water in its
cylinders. It usually destroys

the engine. So I got my
oil pan and crawled under

pan after pan of nothing but

like oil mixed with water.

At the end of the day
we pulled the jeep out of

and we called all the village

And we all went to Palipappa,

away, just to see if it would

run. And sure - it ran
the whole way, and we were

praising God.

You know, when I started

could have gone 50-60 kilometers

engine. It was wonderful.

I have worshiped the spirits
all my life. When I got sick,

Finally, the mayor of the

biggest lowlander city near
our village called a meeting.

So what happened is
the mayor said those people

will pay for those carabao.
They found out who actually did

fined them either in a carabao

the equivalent carabao.

They took up a collection
from all the villages and
