met when I was 17 and she was 16. 00:03:36.94\00:03:41.62 I'm 26 now and will be 27 in June. 00:03:41.66\00:03:43.92 She helped me find Christ. 00:03:43.95\00:03:47.73 She gave her testimony and told me how Christ affected 00:03:47.76\00:03:52.30 her life and who Christ was in her life. 00:03:52.33\00:03:53.99 It was just remarkable to me and I seen something in her 00:03:54.02\00:03:59.49 that I needed. 00:03:59.52\00:04:00.85 I just kept praying and asking God to show me who He was. 00:04:00.89\00:04:06.66 Show me who He was and how He could affect people's lives. 00:04:06.69\00:04:12.42 Sooner or later God showed up and me being me, 00:04:12.46\00:04:17.85 being nervous of the year was going to end in 2000. 00:04:17.88\00:04:21.62 That the world was going to end in 2000, I went to 00:04:21.66\00:04:24.76 church and just got on my knees and I prayed. 00:04:24.80\00:04:27.83 I say God if you are who you say you are you show me. 00:04:27.87\00:04:30.49 He showed me, and He kept showing me and bringing 00:04:30.53\00:04:33.12 people into my life. 00:04:33.15\00:04:34.47 I eventually before I went off to college in August and in July 00:04:34.51\00:04:40.42 I gave my life to Christ and I committed to Him fully. 00:04:40.45\00:04:43.79 So without God bringing people into my life when I 00:04:43.83\00:04:46.70 really didn't want to commit to Him, He still was 00:04:46.73\00:04:49.56 showing Himself strong. 00:04:49.60\00:04:51.03 He was still saying, son I'm here and I'm faithful. 00:04:51.06\00:04:54.78 That is just remarkable and powerful to see how much what do you do in the community? 00:05:03.28\00:05:07.08 I know you do a lot but, you do you have a project 00:05:07.12\00:05:10.27 that you and a friend of mine Tyrone Keys are working 00:05:10.30\00:05:13.42 on together, can you go a little into that? 00:05:13.46\00:05:16.29 Well I got introduced to Tyrone in 2006. 00:05:16.32\00:05:19.09 I just wanted to go and volunteer to help some kids 00:05:19.12\00:05:23.37 in the community. 00:05:23.40\00:05:24.37 I was sitting on the couch, saying God you gave me all 00:05:24.40\00:05:27.15 these tools, with all this ability I can go and play 00:05:27.18\00:05:29.86 football, but I have a lot of wisdom and understanding. 00:05:29.89\00:05:32.87 I have a lot of education that I need to give it back to 00:05:32.90\00:05:35.53 some people in the community to help them see who You 00:05:35.57\00:05:38.16 are through me. 00:05:38.20\00:05:39.77 So I went to Tyrone and said, Tyrone I want to go out 00:05:39.81\00:05:44.49 and be a teaching them about credit loans, how to balance 00:06:40.03\00:06:42.50 their checkbooks, teaching them how to save money, 00:06:42.53\00:06:44.94 teaching them how to dress for success, the ratings, I don't know, I don't believe he is a Christian. 00:08:05.11\00:08:07.49 Maybe I shouldn't even listen to him but I like some of his 00:08:07.52\00:08:09.86 thoughts that are very compelling. 00:08:09.90\00:08:11.44 It draws my attention, he says Christians can't have fun. 00:08:11.48\00:08:15.99 Christians seem like they live a boring life and goes on 00:08:16.02\00:08:20.36 to say all this stuff because it's not worldly or cardinal 00:08:20.40\00:08:24.70 that your mind doesn't think as a man in 00:08:24.74\00:08:29.83 the world would do. 00:08:29.87\00:08:31.39 It is not like that because you are free from bondage 00:08:31.42\00:08:35.21 when you are in Christ, so you do not have to fall 00:08:35.24\00:08:38.27 subject to what the world believes about you, what the 00:08:38.30\00:08:41.29 world thinks about you. 00:08:41.33\00:08:42.30 You can still have the enjoyment of what God has and still do 00:08:42.31\00:08:45.24 worldly things but have a different
