00:00:54.65\00:00:56.69 In 1913, the little country of Albania in Eastern Europe 00:00:56.69\00:01:00.42 achieved its independence. 00:01:00.42\00:01:02.12 There were many Muslims in Albania 00:01:02.12\00:01:04.36 and they chose as their leader 00:01:04.36\00:01:05.83 a Turkish prince named Halim Eddine. 00:01:05.83\00:01:09.20 Prince Halim Eddine seemed reluctant at first 00:01:09.20\00:01:11.33 to leave his native Turkey. 00:01:11.33\00:01:13.07 But one day a Telegraph was received, 00:01:13.07\00:01:15.30 saying that he would shortly arrive 00:01:15.30\00:01:17.11 in the Albanian city of Durazzo. 00:01:17.11\00:01:19.57 The people of Durazzo turned out in force 00:01:19.57\00:01:22.14 to greet the prince. 00:01:22.14\00:01:23.68 They could tell at once that he was a nobleman. 00:01:23.68\00:01:26.35 He spoke with authority, 00:01:26.35\00:01:27.75 wore a splendid uniform, 00:01:27.75\00:01:29.38 and carried along sword. 00:01:29.38\00:01:31.32 When he told them that he would lead an attack 00:01:31.32\00:01:33.49 against the heated city of Belgrade, 00:01:33.49\00:01:35.79 they went wild with joy. 00:01:35.79\00:01:38.16 The people of the city quickly declared the prince 00:01:38.16\00:01:40.60 to be the king of Albania. 00:01:40.60\00:01:42.70 The new king chose a strange name for a muslim, Otto I, 00:01:42.70\00:01:46.90 but the people were not critical of their hero. 00:01:48.14\00:01:50.71 They cheered him everywhere 00:01:50.71\00:01:51.97 and showered him with costly gifts. 00:01:51.97\00:01:54.44 Everyone was happy. 00:01:54.44\00:01:56.64 Five days later, however, another telegraph arrived. 00:01:56.64\00:02:00.92 Otto I, it said, was a fraud. 00:02:00.92\00:02:04.35 The real Prince Eddine was still in Turkey. 00:02:04.35\00:02:07.72 Well, the people rushed King Otto to find out the truth, 00:02:07.72\00:02:10.79 but the king was gone. 00:02:10.79\00:02:12.93 For Otto The First was really Otto Witte, 00:02:12.93\00:02:16.10 a German circus performer 00:02:16.10\00:02:18.33 who had carried out one of the boldest hoaxes in history. 00:02:18.33\00:02:22.54 Friends, did you know that the Bible predicts 00:02:22.54\00:02:24.64 that one of the greatest impersonations of all 00:02:24.64\00:02:27.61 is soon to come? 00:02:27.61\00:02:29.11 Actually, it was Jesus that warned His followers. 00:02:29.11\00:02:31.61 In Matthew 24:24, 00:02:31.61\00:02:34.02 He said, "For false Christs and false prophets will arise 00:02:34.02\00:02:37.39 and show great signs and wonders 00:02:37.39\00:02:39.55 to deceive, if possible, even the very elect. 00:02:39.55\00:02:43.32 So the Bible warns us that before Jesus comes, 00:02:43.32\00:02:45.83 there's gonna be a lot of deception in the world. 00:02:45.83\00:02:49.06 Good evening, Pastor Carlos, welcome. 00:02:49.06\00:02:50.90 - Hello, Pastor Jean Ross. 00:02:50.90\00:02:51.93 - It's good to have you here. 00:02:51.93\00:02:52.80 - Good to be back. 00:02:52.80\00:02:54.30 - Now, we're talking about one of these great deceptions 00:02:54.30\00:02:56.40 that the devil is gonna do before Christ comes. 00:02:56.40\00:03:00.11 Well, the Bible tells us 00:03:00.11\00:03:01.21 that he's even gonna try and impersonate Jesus. 00:03:01.21\00:03:04.91 You know, there's an interesting verse 00:03:04.91\00:03:05.95 in Revelation 16:14 that says, 00:03:05.95\00:03:08.92 speaking of end time events, 00:03:08.92\00:03:10.05 "For they are the spirits of demons, 00:03:10.05\00:03:11.85 performing signs or miracles." 00:03:11.85\00:03:14.46 So just because somebody performs miracle, 00:03:14.46\00:03:16.73 that doesn't mean that they're of God. 00:03:16.73\00:03:19.23 How are we to know whether someone is genuine 00:03:19.23\00:03:21.66 or if they're a counterfeit? 00:03:21.66\00:03:23.23 Well, the Bible tells us in Isaiah 8:20, 00:03:23.23\00:03:27.97 it says, "To the law and to the testimony! 00:03:27.97\00:03:30.81 If they do not speak according to this word, 00:03:30.81\00:03:33.14 it is because there is no light in them." 00:03:33.14\00:03:35.98 So what is to be our guide, Pastor Carlos, 00:03:35.98\00:03:38.01 when it comes to determining what is genuine 00:03:38.01\00:03:41.05 or what is counterfeit? 00:03:41.05\00:03:42.58 - Well, God gave us His word so that we can distinguish 00:03:42.58\00:03:45.12 between what is His and what is not. 00:03:45.12\00:03:47.76 - So we have to go by the Bible and what the Bible says? 00:03:47.76\00:03:49.92 - Amen. Not by our feelings or our emotions, 00:03:49.92\00:03:51.93 but what is God say in His word. 00:03:51.93\00:03:54.40 - Do you think, even in the world today, 00:03:54.40\00:03:55.96 there are these false spirits or evil spirits 00:03:55.96\00:03:58.63 performing miracles under the name of Christianity 00:03:58.63\00:04:01.10 and maybe even in churches today? 00:04:01.10\00:04:03.10 - Oh yeah. I mean, 00:04:03.10\00:04:04.21 I remember in a second Corinthians chapter 11, 00:04:04.21\00:04:06.21 Paul speaks about these false teachers 00:04:06.21\00:04:09.24 and they masquerade as Satan, 00:04:09.24\00:04:11.31 who also presents himself as an angel of light. 00:04:11.31\00:04:13.98 And he has his ministers - That's right. 00:04:13.98\00:04:15.65 - that are also sharing and scattering deceit and lies 00:04:15.65\00:04:19.52 and misinterpreting scripture too, so. 00:04:19.52\00:04:22.06 - So at the end, 00:04:22.06\00:04:23.16 it's very important to know what the Bible says 00:04:23.16\00:04:25.53 on this important subject. 00:04:25.53\00:04:27.23 Well, we do have a study guide. 00:04:27.23\00:04:28.43 It's actually one of our books that we have. 00:04:28.43\00:04:30.20 It's dealing with the second coming of Christ. 00:04:30.20\00:04:32.40 And it's very important. 00:04:32.40\00:04:33.44 It's called Anything but Secret. 00:04:33.44\00:04:35.37 And this is our free offer. 00:04:35.37\00:04:36.50 To anyone listening, 00:04:36.50\00:04:37.31 if you'd like to receive it, 00:04:37.31\00:04:38.67 all you need to do is call the number 800-835-6747. 00:04:38.67\00:04:43.68 And you can ask for the book by name, 00:04:43.68\00:04:45.25 it's called Anything but Secret or offer number 106, 00:04:45.25\00:04:49.35 and we'll be happy to send it to anyone in North America. 00:04:49.35\00:04:51.79 That's 800-835-6747. 00:04:51.79\00:04:54.99 And again, just ask for the book Anything but Secret, 00:04:54.99\00:04:57.49 and we'll be happy to send it to you. 00:04:57.49\00:04:58.63 If you're outside of North America, 00:04:58.63\00:05:00.80 they can still receive the book, Pastor Carlos, 00:05:00.80\00:05:02.56 but just go to the Amazing Facts website. 00:05:02.56\00:05:04.67 It's amazingfacts.org 00:05:04.67\00:05:06.50 Click on the tab that says free library and you can read it. 00:05:06.50\00:05:09.50 You can read a digital copy right there online. 00:05:09.50\00:05:12.01 So that's something you can do right away. 00:05:12.01\00:05:13.71 If you're in the area and you have a Bible question, 00:05:13.71\00:05:15.78 give us a call. 00:05:15.78\00:05:16.88 The number to call is 800-463-7297. 00:05:16.88\00:05:21.08 That is our phone line here to the studio. 00:05:21.08\00:05:23.02 That number again is 800-463-7297. 00:05:23.02\00:05:27.46 This is Bible Answers Live, 00:05:27.46\00:05:29.09 it's a live interactive international Bible study. 00:05:29.09\00:05:32.33 And if you have a question about the Bible, 00:05:32.33\00:05:34.46 about living the Christian life, 00:05:34.46\00:05:36.20 our phone lines are open. 00:05:36.20\00:05:37.33 We'll be happy to search the scriptures together 00:05:37.33\00:05:39.93 to find Bible answers. 00:05:39.93\00:05:41.94 Pastor Carlos, before we actually go to the phone lines 00:05:41.94\00:05:44.77 and to begin our Bible study, 00:05:44.77\00:05:46.17 it's always good to start 00:05:46.17\00:05:47.08 with a word of prayer, - Amen. 00:05:47.08\00:05:48.51 - because the Bible is God's book 00:05:48.51\00:05:49.81 and we need the Holy Spirit to guide us. 00:05:49.81\00:05:51.21 So why don't you stop with prayer? 00:05:51.21\00:05:52.41 - Let's pray. 00:05:52.41\00:05:53.52 Father, thank You for another day of life, 00:05:53.52\00:05:54.78 and thank You for the privilege of having Your word. 00:05:54.78\00:05:56.48 And as we now open it, 00:05:56.48\00:05:58.12 because we wanna help each other find answers 00:05:58.12\00:06:01.22 to understanding Your will 00:06:01.22\00:06:02.69 and the things that are happening in this world, 00:06:02.69\00:06:03.79 we ask that Your Spirit guide us and direct us 00:06:03.79\00:06:05.66 so that everything that is said and done 00:06:05.66\00:06:06.76 may be in harmony with Your Word. 00:06:06.76\00:06:09.23 So we thank You again for this privilege, 00:06:09.23\00:06:10.70 and we ask this in Jesus' name. Amen. 00:06:10.70\00:06:12.83 - Amen. 00:06:12.83\00:06:14.34 Who's our first caller tonight? 00:06:14.34\00:06:16.17 - First caller, we have Glenn from Ohio. 00:06:16.17\00:06:19.41 Good evening, Glenn. 00:06:19.41\00:06:20.21 Welcome to Bible Answers Live. 00:06:20.21\00:06:21.68 - Good evening. 00:06:22.91\00:06:23.71 Thank you for taking my call. 00:06:23.71\00:06:25.85 You know, the Bible says that there's no other name 00:06:25.85\00:06:28.52 under heaven by where you must be saved, 00:06:28.52\00:06:31.29 but I don't believe that it tells what name that is. 00:06:31.29\00:06:34.12 Is it Jehovah or Jesus, 00:06:34.12\00:06:35.92 or is in the word name (indistinct) back 00:06:35.92\00:06:38.73 to something that gives that away? 00:06:38.73\00:06:40.70 - Okay. Well, good question. 00:06:40.70\00:06:41.83 I think the answer to that 00:06:41.83\00:06:42.90 is just simply the name referred to there 00:06:42.90\00:06:45.07 is the name of the Messiah, which is Jesus. 00:06:45.07\00:06:47.70 Now, of course, 00:06:47.70\00:06:49.10 there's different ways to pronounce the word Jesus. 00:06:49.10\00:06:50.44 In English, it's Jesus, 00:06:50.44\00:06:52.37 Hebrew would be more Yeshua, 00:06:52.37\00:06:54.38 so there are different ways of pronouncing the name, 00:06:54.38\00:06:56.54 but the name refers to the person, 00:06:56.54\00:06:58.71 and the person is Christ. 00:06:58.71\00:06:59.91 Our only hope of salvation is in Jesus. 00:06:59.91\00:07:03.59 Also, in the Bible, names have significance 00:07:03.59\00:07:06.35 and names referred to the person, 00:07:06.35\00:07:08.56 they represent the person. 00:07:08.56\00:07:10.26 When it came to the birth of Jesus, 00:07:10.26\00:07:12.26 an angel gave Joseph the message 00:07:12.26\00:07:14.46 that His name should be Jesus, 00:07:14.46\00:07:17.30 and then it tells us 00:07:17.30\00:07:18.33 He shall save His people from their sins. 00:07:18.33\00:07:21.14 So Christ is the Savior, He's the one who saves us. 00:07:21.14\00:07:24.51 Is it important, Pastor Carlos, 00:07:24.51\00:07:26.14 that we pronounce the name of Jesus a certain way, 00:07:26.14\00:07:29.74 or is there a certain language? 00:07:29.74\00:07:31.11 Do we have to pronounce His name in Hebrew or Aramaic 00:07:31.11\00:07:34.45 in order for us to be saved? 00:07:34.45\00:07:35.55 Or what does it mean there's no other name? 00:07:35.55\00:07:38.49 - No, I just think that just like ours. 00:07:38.49\00:07:41.02 Your name is Jean, right? 00:07:41.02\00:07:43.19 And in Spanish it would be Juan. 00:07:43.19\00:07:44.99 - Right. - So we changed the names 00:07:44.99\00:07:47.23 depending on the differences. 00:07:47.23\00:07:48.80 For example in Greek, 00:07:48.80\00:07:50.93 in the New Testament which were in Greek, 00:07:50.93\00:07:53.07 when Paul is writing about Jesus, 00:07:54.07\00:07:55.17 he uses the Greek where Iesus, right? 00:07:55.17\00:07:57.24 Because that's their language at that time. 00:07:57.24\00:07:59.41 Even though we know that the name comes in Hebrew Jesuah. 00:07:59.41\00:08:02.88 Some people do get caught up with that, 00:08:02.88\00:08:04.58 but at the end of the day, is who are you talking about? 00:08:04.58\00:08:06.72 Who are you thinking about? Who are you contemplating? 00:08:06.72\00:08:08.92 If you say Messiah, if you say Christ, 00:08:08.92\00:08:10.39 if you're the Jesus, if you say Hesus, 00:08:10.39\00:08:12.55 if you say, 00:08:12.55\00:08:13.59 It's the person, right? 00:08:13.59\00:08:14.92 - That's right, the name represents the person. 00:08:14.92\00:08:17.03 So anyone, 00:08:17.03\00:08:17.83 everyone that will be saved 00:08:17.83\00:08:19.59 will be saved because of the sacrifice of Christ, 00:08:19.59\00:08:21.96 they are saved by faith in Jesus, in the Messiah. 00:08:21.96\00:08:25.60 And that's the important point. 00:08:25.60\00:08:27.04 You know, we do have a book, 00:08:27.04\00:08:27.84 it's called The Name of God, 00:08:27.84\00:08:29.60 and it's a free gift. 00:08:29.60\00:08:30.67 We'll send it to anyone who calls and asks. 00:08:30.67\00:08:33.27 If you'd like receive the book, 00:08:33.27\00:08:34.68 all you need to do is call our resource phone number. 00:08:34.68\00:08:36.48 That's 800-835-6747, 00:08:36.48\00:08:40.02 and ask for the book that's called The Name of God, 00:08:40.02\00:08:42.25 and we'll be happy to send that 00:08:42.25\00:08:43.42 to anyone who calls and asks. 00:08:43.42\00:08:45.32 - Amen. 00:08:45.32\00:08:46.19 - All right, who do we have next. 00:08:46.19\00:08:46.99 - Next we have from Switzerland, 00:08:46.99\00:08:48.69 we have Katja calling us. 00:08:48.69\00:08:50.93 Hello, Katja. 00:08:50.93\00:08:52.63 - Hello. Good evening, pastor. 00:08:52.63\00:08:54.20 It's very nice of you to take my call. 00:08:54.20\00:08:56.23 I have a question about the Old Testament, 00:08:56.23\00:08:59.40 which might seem a little bit mundane. 00:08:59.40\00:09:01.80 Is there any mentioning of sweets 00:09:02.80\00:09:04.77 or dessert in the Old Testament? 00:09:04.77\00:09:08.38 - Sweets or desserts. 00:09:08.38\00:09:09.51 Well, you know, the idea of something being sweet 00:09:09.51\00:09:11.91 is found in the Bible, 00:09:11.91\00:09:13.35 you'll also find it with reference to salvation, 00:09:13.35\00:09:16.15 you find it in reference to the word of God, 00:09:16.15\00:09:18.49 and sometimes, the word honey is used. 00:09:18.49\00:09:21.49 Speaking of the land of promise, 00:09:21.49\00:09:22.86 it was referred to as the land flowing with milk and honey, 00:09:22.86\00:09:26.83 and Psalms 119 speaks of the word of God, 00:09:26.83\00:09:29.56 as sweet as honey, 00:09:29.56\00:09:31.40 more precious than silver and gold. 00:09:31.40\00:09:33.90 So the idea of honey would be sweet, 00:09:33.90\00:09:37.07 not so much of a dessert per se, 00:09:37.07\00:09:39.11 but the idea of something being sweet is found, 00:09:39.11\00:09:42.34 and it symbolizes the word of God, 00:09:42.34\00:09:44.31 it symbolizes the promised land, 00:09:44.31\00:09:47.22 hope for the redeemed, 00:09:47.22\00:09:49.25 and that's what it refers to. 00:09:49.25\00:09:50.59 But back in those days, 00:09:50.59\00:09:51.65 I think the sweetest thing you get was honey. 00:09:51.65\00:09:53.82 - Grapes. - Grapes are sweet. 00:09:53.82\00:09:55.19 And of course, dates. - Dates. 00:09:55.19\00:09:56.69 - You could get a type of date honey as well, 00:09:56.69\00:09:59.83 which is also very sweet, 00:09:59.83\00:10:02.00 but that's pretty much it. 00:10:02.00\00:10:03.13 They didn't have cane sugar 00:10:03.13\00:10:04.23 like, of course, we have it today. 00:10:04.23\00:10:06.43 - Yes. The point came up after concert, 00:10:06.43\00:10:08.90 the musician saying about what the people, 00:10:08.90\00:10:11.71 what you all would do in the Messiah comes. 00:10:11.71\00:10:14.48 And they had citations from the Bible 00:10:14.48\00:10:18.68 like sing like Solomon 00:10:18.68\00:10:19.78 or dance like Moses and eat a banquet. 00:10:19.78\00:10:22.28 And then when I said, "Oh, you forgot about the dessert," 00:10:22.28\00:10:25.15 They said there's no mention of dessert 00:10:25.15\00:10:27.82 in the Old Testament. 00:10:28.62\00:10:29.99 And I said, okay, I will find that until the next concert. 00:10:29.99\00:10:32.83 Okay. - They play music, 00:10:32.83\00:10:35.20 which is half traditional and often with religious themes. 00:10:35.20\00:10:40.00 So that's why the question came up. 00:10:41.57\00:10:44.44 - Yeah. You know, I think not specifically dessert, 00:10:44.44\00:10:47.64 but if you look back, 00:10:47.64\00:10:48.98 and even today in the Middle East, 00:10:48.98\00:10:50.98 often a meal will end with some fruit or something sweet. 00:10:50.98\00:10:55.35 And fruit was considered much more of a delicacy 00:10:55.35\00:10:59.49 back in Bible times than we might consider today, 00:10:59.49\00:11:01.72 because of course they didn't have certain fruits 00:11:01.72\00:11:04.29 all year round. 00:11:04.29\00:11:05.63 So when it was grape time 00:11:05.63\00:11:07.13 and the grapes were, you know, ready for harvest, 00:11:07.13\00:11:10.10 that would be something special. 00:11:10.10\00:11:11.23 You might eat that at the end of your meal, 00:11:11.23\00:11:13.97 whether it was dates or whatever it might be. 00:11:13.97\00:11:15.77 So food was used almost like a dessert, 00:11:15.77\00:11:19.17 and was available at the end of the meal. 00:11:19.17\00:11:21.58 That's a good point though. 00:11:21.58\00:11:22.71 - Do we have a verse? 00:11:22.71\00:11:24.81 - Not specifically of them eating fruit 00:11:24.81\00:11:26.98 at the end of the meal. 00:11:26.98\00:11:28.05 That's just, you know, more cultural. 00:11:28.05\00:11:30.22 With reference to honey, 00:11:30.22\00:11:31.82 there are a number of references, 00:11:31.82\00:11:33.49 starting all the way back in Genesis 43:11. 00:11:33.49\00:11:37.89 It's also interesting to know, 00:11:37.89\00:11:38.89 just something came to mind, 00:11:38.89\00:11:40.23 when Jacob sent gifts to Joseph who was in Egypt, 00:11:40.23\00:11:44.23 and they didn't know that it was Joseph. 00:11:44.23\00:11:46.30 When he sent his sons to get grain during the famine, 00:11:46.30\00:11:49.87 he gathered the best of the land that he could 00:11:49.87\00:11:52.37 and it included dates. 00:11:52.37\00:11:54.41 And so that was considered a delicacy back in those times. 00:11:54.41\00:11:57.91 - And this is in Genesis? 00:11:57.91\00:11:59.61 - Genesis 43. 00:11:59.61\00:12:00.68 Genesis 43:11. 00:12:01.52\00:12:03.18 You also find honey referred to in Exodus 3:8, 00:12:03.18\00:12:07.12 speaking of the land of promise. 00:12:07.12\00:12:09.66 And then there are many references to honey 00:12:09.66\00:12:11.73 throughout the Old Testament. 00:12:11.73\00:12:13.33 - Yeah. Thank you. 00:12:13.33\00:12:14.13 Thank you very much. 00:12:14.13\00:12:15.20 - All right, you're welcome. 00:12:15.20\00:12:16.33 Thanks for your call. 00:12:16.33\00:12:17.37 - Next. We have Angela from Illinois. 00:12:17.37\00:12:19.53 Good evening, Angela. 00:12:19.53\00:12:21.17 - Ah, thank you. 00:12:21.17\00:12:22.80 I have a question in regards to Luke 16:19-31, 00:12:22.80\00:12:27.71 it talks about the rich man and Lazarus. 00:12:29.81\00:12:32.91 I was reading it and I don't really understand it. 00:12:34.22\00:12:36.79 I assume it's a parable. 00:12:36.79\00:12:38.15 So can you explain it to me please? 00:12:38.15\00:12:40.09 - Yes. Great question. 00:12:40.09\00:12:41.36 You find this in Luke chapter 16, starting verse 19, 00:12:41.36\00:12:43.93 sometimes referred to 00:12:43.93\00:12:45.06 as the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. 00:12:45.06\00:12:47.13 Actually, the hitting that I have 00:12:47.13\00:12:48.63 in the New King James version is just that. 00:12:48.63\00:12:50.60 It says the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, 00:12:50.60\00:12:53.13 it's in the context of a number of parables. 00:12:53.13\00:12:56.44 But what's unique about this parable 00:12:56.44\00:12:57.94 is that we have a character who has a specific name. 00:12:57.94\00:13:01.34 It's very important. 00:13:01.34\00:13:02.88 And that person's name is Lazarus. 00:13:02.88\00:13:04.91 And we are gonna get to why in this parable, 00:13:04.91\00:13:07.92 there is somebody that has a specific name. 00:13:07.92\00:13:10.79 For those who might be new to the parable, 00:13:10.79\00:13:13.02 you can find it in verse 19. 00:13:13.02\00:13:14.52 It talks about a certain rich man who was a Jew 00:13:14.52\00:13:17.39 and he lived very well but there was a beggar, 00:13:17.39\00:13:20.13 and the beggar's name was Lazarus. 00:13:20.13\00:13:22.16 And the beggar would be at his gate 00:13:22.16\00:13:24.87 begging for something to eat, 00:13:24.87\00:13:26.94 but the rich man sort of ignored the beggar. 00:13:26.94\00:13:30.54 And in the story, they both die, 00:13:30.54\00:13:33.81 and the rich man goes to, 00:13:33.81\00:13:35.91 in verse 23, a place of torment called Hades. 00:13:35.91\00:13:39.15 And we can say something about that in just a minute, 00:13:39.15\00:13:41.38 but Lazarus, who was the poor man, the beggar, 00:13:41.38\00:13:43.89 he ends up in a place that's referred to as Abraham's bosom. 00:13:43.89\00:13:47.96 And so Lazarus is in a place of paradise, 00:13:47.96\00:13:50.96 and the rich man is in a place of torment. 00:13:50.96\00:13:53.73 And then it says they are talking one to another, 00:13:53.73\00:13:56.93 and the rich man who is in Hades says to Abraham, 00:13:56.93\00:14:00.84 he says, "It's hot down here," 00:14:00.84\00:14:02.67 I'm paraphrasing, 00:14:02.67\00:14:03.77 "please put a drop of water on my tongue." 00:14:03.77\00:14:07.18 And the message comes back from Abraham and says, 00:14:07.18\00:14:09.61 you know, remember during your lifetime, 00:14:09.61\00:14:11.21 you received all the good things. 00:14:11.21\00:14:13.11 Whereas Lazarus, 00:14:13.11\00:14:14.42 the beggar, the poor man, 00:14:14.42\00:14:15.45 he received the bad things. 00:14:15.45\00:14:16.55 Now Lazarus is comforted and you are tormented. 00:14:16.55\00:14:20.06 And then he goes on 00:14:20.06\00:14:21.16 to talk about a great gulf that is fixed. 00:14:21.16\00:14:23.53 Well, then verse 27, 00:14:23.53\00:14:25.63 then he said, "I beg of you, Father," 00:14:25.63\00:14:27.60 this is the rich man in Hades talking to Abraham. 00:14:27.60\00:14:31.13 "I beg of you father, that you would send him," 00:14:31.13\00:14:33.30 that's Lazarus, very important, 00:14:33.30\00:14:34.87 "to my father's house 00:14:34.87\00:14:37.11 for I have five brothers, 00:14:37.11\00:14:39.04 that they may testify to them 00:14:39.04\00:14:41.01 lest they also come to this place of torment." 00:14:41.01\00:14:44.08 Abraham said, "They have Moses and the prophets, 00:14:44.08\00:14:47.08 let them hear them." 00:14:47.08\00:14:49.32 Verse 30, and he said, 00:14:49.32\00:14:50.72 "No, Father Abraham. 00:14:50.72\00:14:52.09 They will believe if someone were to go from the dead." 00:14:52.09\00:14:54.76 Verse 31, here's the key point. 00:14:54.76\00:14:56.96 But he said to him, 00:14:56.96\00:14:58.19 "If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, 00:14:58.19\00:15:00.63 neither will they be persuaded 00:15:00.63\00:15:02.50 though one is raised from the dead." 00:15:02.50\00:15:05.60 So in the parable, 00:15:05.60\00:15:06.74 you have this man by the name of Lazarus, 00:15:06.74\00:15:09.17 he's a beggar, 00:15:09.17\00:15:10.67 and you have the rich man symbolizing the nation of 00:15:10.67\00:15:13.71 Israel, of the religious leaders of the day. 00:15:13.71\00:15:15.94 And here the message is 00:15:15.94\00:15:17.58 if Lazarus were raised from the dead, they would believe. 00:15:17.58\00:15:20.92 Jesus says if they don't believe Moses and the prophets, 00:15:20.92\00:15:23.49 meaning the scriptures, 00:15:23.49\00:15:24.79 they won't believe even if someone is raised from the dead. 00:15:24.79\00:15:27.92 Now what's amazing about the story, 00:15:27.92\00:15:30.13 just a short time after, 00:15:30.13\00:15:32.33 talking about a matter of weeks, 00:15:32.33\00:15:33.53 even days after Jesus told us parable, 00:15:33.53\00:15:36.97 there was somebody raised from the dead 00:15:36.97\00:15:39.97 whose name was Lazarus, 00:15:39.97\00:15:41.77 and still the religious leaders refused to believe 00:15:41.77\00:15:44.84 that Jesus was the Christ. 00:15:44.84\00:15:46.41 So this was a prophecy that Christ really making 00:15:46.41\00:15:49.08 concerning the fact 00:15:49.08\00:15:50.45 that even though Lazarus would rise from the dead, 00:15:50.45\00:15:52.68 they would still stubbornly refuse 00:15:52.68\00:15:54.68 because they rejected the testimony of Moses. 00:15:54.68\00:15:57.15 This is not a discourse 00:15:57.15\00:15:58.45 to talk about what happens when a person dies, 00:15:58.45\00:16:01.06 because the Bible tells us in many places 00:16:01.06\00:16:03.19 that the dead know not anything, 00:16:03.19\00:16:05.16 that you're in the grave until the resurrection 00:16:05.16\00:16:07.23 at the second coming of Christ. 00:16:07.23\00:16:08.83 This is a parable like all of the other parables, 00:16:08.83\00:16:11.43 to teach a very important lesson. 00:16:11.43\00:16:14.00 And that's the main thrust 00:16:14.00\00:16:15.20 of what is being taught in this parable. 00:16:15.20\00:16:17.34 Also, the imagery that Jesus is using, 00:16:17.34\00:16:19.41 He's using Greek Mythology. 00:16:19.41\00:16:21.54 When He is talking about Abraham's bosom, 00:16:21.54\00:16:23.85 when He is talking about a place of torment, 00:16:23.85\00:16:26.11 that was common to the Greeks, 00:16:27.08\00:16:30.25 that's what they believe, 00:16:30.25\00:16:31.59 that when you died, you went into a place of torment 00:16:31.59\00:16:33.05 or you went up to a place of paradise. 00:16:33.05\00:16:35.36 And Jesus is using something that they were familiar with 00:16:35.36\00:16:38.03 to illustrate an important truth. 00:16:38.03\00:16:39.59 The truth being you won't believe 00:16:39.59\00:16:41.50 even if somebody is raised from the dead, 00:16:41.50\00:16:43.57 and oh, by the way, his name's gonna be Lazarus. 00:16:43.57\00:16:46.10 And they still didn't believe which to me is amazing. 00:16:46.10\00:16:48.84 It's an incredible parable. 00:16:48.84\00:16:49.90 It really is a powerful story 00:16:49.90\00:16:51.64 in the context of what Jesus was doing. 00:16:51.64\00:16:54.98 - Oh, wow. This is great. 00:16:55.78\00:16:57.18 Thank you. 00:16:57.18\00:16:58.08 - I understand it now. 00:16:58.08\00:16:59.45 - Oh, great question. 00:16:59.45\00:17:00.45 Thanks for your call. 00:17:00.45\00:17:01.78 - Amen. 00:17:01.78\00:17:03.18 Don't we have a book also? 00:17:03.18\00:17:04.49 We have a, 00:17:04.49\00:17:05.59 - You know, I think we do. 00:17:05.59\00:17:07.29 It might be called The Rich Man and Lazarus. 00:17:07.29\00:17:08.59 - The Rich Man and Lazarus. - Yeah, I think it is. 00:17:08.59\00:17:10.63 And Angela, you might wanna call and ask for that. 00:17:10.63\00:17:12.79 We'll be happy to send it to you. 00:17:12.79\00:17:13.93 Just call 800-835-6747, 00:17:13.93\00:17:17.30 and ask for the book called The Rich Man and Lazarus. 00:17:17.30\00:17:19.57 It'll go into a lot more detail 00:17:19.57\00:17:20.94 than we have time to talk about right here on the air. 00:17:20.94\00:17:23.64 Good question. 00:17:23.64\00:17:24.47 Who do we have next? 00:17:24.47\00:17:25.57 - Next, Olivia from Washington. 00:17:25.57\00:17:27.71 Welcome to Bible Answers Live. 00:17:27.71\00:17:29.81 - Hi, thank you for taking my call. 00:17:29.81\00:17:32.61 Well, a few days ago, I was looking at my dad's Bible 00:17:32.61\00:17:36.62 and it opened to a random place, 00:17:36.62\00:17:38.65 and it just, 00:17:38.65\00:17:40.26 it was somewhere in 1 Corinthians. 00:17:41.56\00:17:43.59 - Mm-hmm 00:17:43.59\00:17:44.63 And it said something 00:17:44.63\00:17:46.46 about if women did not have their head covered, 00:17:46.46\00:17:50.83 when they prophesied, 00:17:50.83\00:17:53.00 then their head would be disgraced, 00:17:53.00\00:17:56.54 and I was wondering what that meant. 00:17:56.54\00:17:58.81 - Okay. Good question. 00:17:58.81\00:18:00.44 I think the verse you're referring to is 1 Corinthians 00:18:00.44\00:18:03.51 11, and it starts around verse 4, 5, 00:18:03.51\00:18:06.72 and I think it goes all the way through to about 8. 00:18:06.72\00:18:09.22 And it's talking about in the church, 00:18:09.22\00:18:11.65 the context here, Paul is writing a letter 00:18:11.65\00:18:13.79 to the believers in the city of Corinth. 00:18:13.79\00:18:17.46 This church was made up of both Jews and Gentiles, 00:18:17.46\00:18:21.30 more so Gentiles, it seems, 00:18:21.30\00:18:23.43 and there were a lot of people coming and going. 00:18:23.43\00:18:25.63 And if you read the rest of not only 1 Corinthians, 00:18:25.63\00:18:28.47 but also 2 Corinthians, 00:18:28.47\00:18:30.27 Paul was helping the church to get organized. 00:18:30.27\00:18:33.04 There seemed to be some confusion in the church, 00:18:33.04\00:18:36.24 things weren't being done right. 00:18:36.24\00:18:37.71 And so Paul is writing a letter 00:18:37.71\00:18:39.28 and he is giving some practical guidance 00:18:39.28\00:18:41.48 to the church members 00:18:41.48\00:18:42.62 as to how they were to perform the services, 00:18:42.62\00:18:44.75 what they were to do in church. 00:18:44.75\00:18:46.55 And one of the things that he's mentioned here, 00:18:46.55\00:18:48.22 if you find in verse 4, 00:18:48.22\00:18:49.69 1 Corinthians 11:4, 00:18:49.69\00:18:51.66 it says, "Every man praying or prophesying," 00:18:51.66\00:18:53.86 that means preaching, 00:18:53.86\00:18:55.13 "having his head covered, dishonors his head. 00:18:55.13\00:18:57.80 But every woman who prays or prophesize 00:18:57.80\00:18:59.87 with her head uncovered dishonors her head, 00:18:59.87\00:19:02.24 for that is one and the same as if her head was shaved." 00:19:02.24\00:19:06.31 Now, let me give you the context. 00:19:06.31\00:19:08.01 As the sign of respect and reverence, 00:19:08.01\00:19:10.21 back in those days in that culture, 00:19:10.21\00:19:12.21 similar to as it is today, 00:19:12.21\00:19:14.55 for a man to enter a church, 00:19:14.55\00:19:17.19 it is respectful for him to remove his hat. 00:19:17.19\00:19:20.02 That's true, even if somebody goes to somebody else's house, 00:19:20.02\00:19:22.36 but especially a church. 00:19:22.36\00:19:23.73 If somebody enters the church, 00:19:23.73\00:19:25.53 the respectful thing is to remove your hat. 00:19:25.53\00:19:27.60 It is a cultural thing. 00:19:27.60\00:19:29.30 But that's true just for men. 00:19:29.30\00:19:30.90 It's not true for a woman. 00:19:30.90\00:19:32.30 Matter of fact, 00:19:32.30\00:19:33.70 there are many women that will wear a head covering 00:19:33.70\00:19:35.67 or a hat when they go to church, 00:19:35.67\00:19:37.04 and it's actually a sign of reverence and respect. 00:19:37.04\00:19:41.01 And that's what Paul is emphasizing. 00:19:41.01\00:19:42.58 He says, when you go to church, 00:19:42.58\00:19:44.18 you need to show forth respect. 00:19:44.18\00:19:46.48 And if that involves for a man removing your hat, 00:19:46.48\00:19:49.02 then remove your hat or your head covering. 00:19:49.02\00:19:50.95 For a woman, if you're gonna be front, 00:19:50.95\00:19:52.82 if you're gonna be leading in the prayer, 00:19:52.82\00:19:54.59 you want to cover your head, 00:19:54.59\00:19:56.16 meaning you wanna show respect and reverence. 00:19:56.16\00:19:58.73 So the whole point here 00:19:58.73\00:20:00.10 is talking about reverence and respect, 00:20:00.10\00:20:01.83 and there was a traditional component to that 00:20:01.83\00:20:04.40 because Pastor Carlos, 00:20:04.40\00:20:06.43 you know different cultures around the world 00:20:06.43\00:20:08.27 do things differently. 00:20:08.27\00:20:09.57 I spent some time in India, 00:20:09.57\00:20:11.31 and it's true 00:20:11.31\00:20:12.67 that when a woman goes to the front of the church, 00:20:12.67\00:20:14.14 or even if she enters the church, 00:20:14.14\00:20:15.48 it's very common for her to cover her head. 00:20:15.48\00:20:18.01 It's appropriate for a man to remove his hat if he goes in, 00:20:18.01\00:20:21.52 but also another sign of reverence 00:20:21.52\00:20:23.32 is the removing of their shoes. 00:20:23.32\00:20:24.49 - Shoes. Yep. 00:20:24.49\00:20:25.35 - So when you go into the church, 00:20:25.35\00:20:26.42 you'll often see in the front of the church, 00:20:26.42\00:20:27.76 there are all kinds of shoes or sandals that's there. 00:20:27.76\00:20:31.49 Now, that's not the way it is in North America, 00:20:31.49\00:20:33.36 in a Western style culture. 00:20:33.36\00:20:35.43 But whenever I go to India and I'm asked to preach, 00:20:35.43\00:20:38.67 I'll always remove my shoes, 00:20:38.67\00:20:40.10 I'll be up there in my socks. 00:20:40.10\00:20:41.64 It feels a little odd at first, 00:20:41.64\00:20:43.00 but that's a sign of reverence. 00:20:43.00\00:20:45.01 And that's the point that Paul is emphasizing, 00:20:45.01\00:20:47.04 that when it comes to worship and it comes to the church, 00:20:47.04\00:20:49.51 things need to be done decent and in order. 00:20:49.51\00:20:52.11 - Amen. 00:20:52.11\00:20:53.65 - Yeah. So hopefully that helps a little bit, Olivia. 00:20:53.65\00:20:56.02 - Thank you, that did help. 00:20:56.02\00:20:57.75 - All right. Thanks for your call. 00:20:57.75\00:20:59.12 - Awesome. 00:20:59.12\00:21:00.39 Next we have Darryl from Florida. 00:21:00.39\00:21:02.32 Welcome to Bible Answers Live. 00:21:02.32\00:21:03.99 - Good evening, pastors. 00:21:04.83\00:21:06.83 My question is which of the plagues mentioned 00:21:06.83\00:21:10.10 in Revelation 16 are literal 00:21:10.10\00:21:13.64 and which are symbolic? 00:21:13.64\00:21:15.07 And if we have enough time, 00:21:15.07\00:21:16.50 when does Satan show up posing as Christ? 00:21:16.50\00:21:19.47 Before the plagues or during the plagues? 00:21:19.47\00:21:21.88 - Okay. Well, good question. 00:21:23.08\00:21:24.18 Let's take the first part of the question. 00:21:24.18\00:21:26.41 Which of the plagues, 00:21:26.41\00:21:27.55 the 7 Last Plagues that we find in Revelation 16 00:21:27.55\00:21:29.92 are literal or symbolic. 00:21:29.92\00:21:31.59 I think the first four plagues are literal. 00:21:31.59\00:21:34.49 The first one is a painful sore 00:21:34.49\00:21:36.52 that comes upon those that have the mark of the beast. 00:21:36.52\00:21:38.86 Then it talks about the sea 00:21:38.86\00:21:40.16 turning to a substance that is like blood. 00:21:40.16\00:21:43.37 And then the springs and the rivers 00:21:43.37\00:21:45.03 turning to a blood like substance. 00:21:45.03\00:21:47.87 And then you find the fourth 00:21:47.87\00:21:49.20 where it talks about an intense heat 00:21:49.20\00:21:51.14 and people are scorched with heat. 00:21:51.14\00:21:53.54 So those first four plagues would be literal. 00:21:53.54\00:21:57.58 I mean, these are things that are judgments 00:21:57.58\00:21:59.31 that are coming upon the earth. 00:21:59.31\00:22:00.95 But then when you get to the next plague, 00:22:00.95\00:22:02.62 you find darkness on the seat of the beast power. 00:22:02.62\00:22:06.52 There is a literal application of that 00:22:06.52\00:22:08.99 because I believe there will be a darkness 00:22:08.99\00:22:10.83 that'll settle over the beast power 00:22:10.83\00:22:12.93 that you read about in Revelation 13, 00:22:12.93\00:22:15.20 but it's also symbolic in that it reveals that this entity, 00:22:15.20\00:22:18.80 this religious power that claims to be preaching 00:22:18.80\00:22:21.57 or teaching the truth 00:22:21.57\00:22:22.97 is actually preaching lies and is dark. 00:22:22.97\00:22:26.64 And then the sixth plague 00:22:26.64\00:22:28.11 is the drying up of the river Euphrates, 00:22:28.11\00:22:30.21 making way for the kings of the East. 00:22:30.21\00:22:32.35 That is symbolic. 00:22:32.35\00:22:33.82 We know in Bible prophecy, 00:22:33.82\00:22:35.08 water represents multitudes in nations 00:22:35.08\00:22:37.19 and kindreds and tongues. 00:22:37.19\00:22:38.72 And so we find the support 00:22:38.72\00:22:40.22 that these various kingdoms and nations gave 00:22:40.22\00:22:42.56 to symbolic Babylon or the beast power will be withdrawn 00:22:42.56\00:22:47.60 in preparing the way for the second coming. 00:22:48.80\00:22:50.67 The kings of the East here 00:22:50.67\00:22:51.93 symbolize Jesus and the angels coming 00:22:51.93\00:22:54.37 to bring deliverance to God's people. 00:22:54.37\00:22:56.67 So the sixth plague. 00:22:56.67\00:22:57.74 And then the seventh plague, 00:22:57.74\00:22:59.01 it talks about an earthquake and hale. 00:22:59.01\00:23:01.31 That's definitely got literal applications as well. 00:23:01.31\00:23:04.11 That brings you right up to the second coming of Christ. 00:23:04.11\00:23:06.92 So yes, they both literal, 00:23:06.92\00:23:09.02 but they also definitely have spiritual applications. 00:23:09.02\00:23:12.39 Does that help, Derryl? 00:23:13.22\00:23:14.46 - Yeah. And if we have time, 00:23:15.52\00:23:17.13 when does Satan show up posing as Christ? 00:23:17.13\00:23:19.26 Before the plagues or during the plagues? 00:23:19.26\00:23:21.30 - I think there's a little bit of both. 00:23:21.30\00:23:22.66 I think there is before probation closes, 00:23:22.66\00:23:25.73 the plagues fall after probation closes. 00:23:25.73\00:23:28.00 I think before probation closes, 00:23:28.00\00:23:29.57 there's going to be false Christ and false profits 00:23:29.57\00:23:32.14 performing signs and wonders. 00:23:32.14\00:23:34.24 But I also think during the plagues, 00:23:34.24\00:23:36.18 near the end, 00:23:36.18\00:23:37.28 there's going to be a final gathering together 00:23:37.28\00:23:39.31 of all of the nations. 00:23:39.31\00:23:40.92 Cause according to Revelation chapter 13, 00:23:40.92\00:23:42.68 it speaks about a death decree that he's eventually passed 00:23:42.68\00:23:45.59 against those who keep the commandments of God. 00:23:45.59\00:23:47.62 Now that death decree is never enforced 00:23:47.62\00:23:49.32 because Jesus comes before that happens. 00:23:49.32\00:23:51.93 But I think during the time period of the plagues, 00:23:51.93\00:23:54.36 and even before, 00:23:54.36\00:23:55.73 there'll be a special or an increase 00:23:55.73\00:23:58.50 of these false Christ and false prophets, 00:23:58.50\00:24:01.37 and even the devil himself claiming to be Christ 00:24:01.37\00:24:04.67 and deceiving the whole world 00:24:04.67\00:24:06.71 and uniting them in the opposition. 00:24:06.71\00:24:08.84 - That's what I'm referring to 00:24:08.84\00:24:10.71 is when Satan himself poses as Christ, 00:24:10.71\00:24:14.65 you think it's gonna be like at the sixth plague 00:24:14.65\00:24:17.15 when it talks about 00:24:17.15\00:24:18.39 the frogs coming out of the dragon's mouth 00:24:19.79\00:24:23.02 and out of the beast and out of the false prophet's mouth? 00:24:23.02\00:24:25.59 - Yes. The three unclean spirits out of the mouth 00:24:25.59\00:24:27.20 of the dragon, the beast and the false prophet. 00:24:27.20\00:24:28.90 Yes. That's an application to that as well. 00:24:28.90\00:24:31.23 Don't think of the impersonation of Christ by the devil 00:24:31.23\00:24:34.37 as being an experience that occurs just quickly. 00:24:34.37\00:24:38.34 The devil's gonna be here for a while 00:24:38.34\00:24:40.38 and is gonna be involved in deceiving people 00:24:40.38\00:24:42.74 over an extended period of time. 00:24:42.74\00:24:44.98 He's gonna be galvanizing the world. 00:24:44.98\00:24:46.72 So it could even begin a little bit before, 00:24:46.72\00:24:48.92 but definitely culminates during the three unclean spirits 00:24:48.92\00:24:52.72 that you read about in Revelation 16. 00:24:52.72\00:24:54.72 - Okay. Thank you. 00:24:54.72\00:24:56.19 - All right. Thanks your call, Derryl. 00:24:56.19\00:24:58.23 Good question. 00:24:58.23\00:24:59.16 Appreciate it. 00:24:59.16\00:25:00.43 All right. Who do we have next? 00:25:00.43\00:25:01.70 - Lucas from Tennessee. 00:25:01.70\00:25:03.10 Welcome to Bible Answers Live. 00:25:03.10\00:25:05.00 - Hey pastors. 00:25:05.00\00:25:06.43 So my question is, 00:25:06.43\00:25:08.30 where do dinosaurs fit in the biblical timeline? 00:25:09.64\00:25:14.28 My current understanding is they are probably pre-flood 00:25:15.68\00:25:19.38 and possibly the results of amalgamation, 00:25:20.38\00:25:22.62 which could explain why they weren't on the ark. 00:25:22.62\00:25:25.92 - Okay. 00:25:25.92\00:25:26.76 Yeah. Good question. 00:25:26.76\00:25:27.86 Well, as far as the dinosaurs, 00:25:27.86\00:25:29.62 yes, they did exist before the flood. 00:25:29.62\00:25:32.66 And the reason we have 00:25:32.66\00:25:33.70 so many fossilized remains of the dinosaurs 00:25:33.70\00:25:36.06 is because of the flood, 00:25:36.06\00:25:37.07 because of the various layers of mud 00:25:37.07\00:25:39.20 destroyed the dinosaurs. 00:25:39.20\00:25:40.90 There were some animals 00:25:40.90\00:25:42.30 that you might consider close to that category 00:25:42.30\00:25:44.61 that actually made it on the ark. 00:25:44.61\00:25:45.94 For example, you have the woolly mammoth, 00:25:45.94\00:25:49.04 which isn't a dinosaur, but it is extinct now. 00:25:49.04\00:25:52.51 We believe it did make it on the ark 00:25:52.51\00:25:54.62 because they found some pretty good preserved remains of it. 00:25:54.62\00:25:59.29 But most of the dinosaurs, 00:25:59.29\00:26:00.49 they were destroyed at the time of the flood. 00:26:00.49\00:26:03.32 Others could not exist 00:26:03.32\00:26:05.06 in the environment that was created after the flood. 00:26:05.06\00:26:07.66 There was a reduction of vegetation, 00:26:07.66\00:26:09.96 there was changes in the atmosphere. 00:26:09.96\00:26:12.20 And so these animals that were so big, 00:26:12.20\00:26:14.47 they just couldn't exist. 00:26:14.47\00:26:16.00 Also, we find all kinds of animals before the flood 00:26:16.00\00:26:18.21 that seemed to be a lot bigger. 00:26:18.21\00:26:19.51 All the way from insects, dragonflies, 00:26:19.51\00:26:21.58 and others that were much bigger than what we have now. 00:26:21.58\00:26:24.28 So the whole environment was very different before the flood 00:26:24.28\00:26:28.12 than after the flood. 00:26:28.12\00:26:29.58 Well, thank you for your call, Lucas. 00:26:29.58\00:26:31.72 Friends, we're gonna be taking a short break. 00:26:31.72\00:26:34.12 We'll be back with more Bible questions. 00:26:34.12\00:26:36.12 If you have a Bible question, 00:26:36.12\00:26:37.49 it's a good time to pick up your phone and give us a call. 00:26:37.49\00:26:39.89 We'll be right back. 00:26:39.89\00:26:40.96 - [Announcer] Stay tuned. 00:26:45.17\00:26:46.27 Bible Answers Live will return shortly. 00:26:46.27\00:26:48.70 - [Narrator] Did you know that Noah was present 00:26:53.11\00:26:54.18 at the birth of Abraham? 00:26:54.18\00:26:56.44 Okay. Maybe he wasn't in the room, 00:26:56.44\00:26:58.81 but he was alive and probably telling stories 00:26:58.81\00:27:01.35 about his floating zoo. 00:27:01.35\00:27:03.32 From the creation of the world 00:27:03.32\00:27:04.85 to the last day events of Revelation, 00:27:04.85\00:27:07.16 biblehistory.com is a free resource 00:27:07.16\00:27:09.66 where you can explore major Bible events and characters. 00:27:09.66\00:27:12.69 Enhance your knowledge of the Bible, 00:27:12.69\00:27:14.56 and draw closer to God's word. 00:27:14.56\00:27:16.67 Go deeper. 00:27:16.67\00:27:17.93 Visit biblehistory.com 00:27:17.93\00:27:19.87 - [Narrator 2] Have you ever skipped a meal? 00:31:05.26\00:31:06.39 - Next we have Kenneth calling from Michigan. 00:31:06.39\00:31:08.66 Welcome, Kenneth. 00:31:08.66\00:31:09.76 - Praise the Lord, pastors. 00:31:11.33\00:31:13.13 - Amen. 00:31:13.13\00:31:14.04 - Good evening. 00:31:15.17\00:31:16.27 My question is over in the book of James, 00:31:16.27\00:31:19.24 where it says, "Are there any sick among you? 00:31:19.24\00:31:21.44 Let them call for the elders and let them anoint them, 00:31:21.44\00:31:23.85 and pray the prayer of faith." 00:31:23.85\00:31:25.68 My question is, what is the prayer? 00:31:25.68\00:31:28.72 Because it says the prayer of faith, 00:31:28.72\00:31:31.22 I believe that that is a specific prayer. 00:31:31.22\00:31:34.22 I don't believe it's the Lord's prayer. 00:31:34.22\00:31:36.26 I would like some enlightenment on that. 00:31:36.26\00:31:37.99 - Okay, great question. 00:31:37.99\00:31:39.69 You know, the Bible tells us 00:31:39.69\00:31:40.76 that we need to believe that God is, 00:31:40.76\00:31:43.00 and that He's a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. 00:31:43.00\00:31:46.74 So the Bible tells us that if somebody is sick, 00:31:46.74\00:31:49.84 they're to call for the elders of the church, 00:31:49.84\00:31:51.67 the leaders of the church, 00:31:51.67\00:31:52.64 they are to gather around, 00:31:52.64\00:31:54.04 they are to pray. 00:31:54.04\00:31:55.31 As you mentioned, the prayer of faith, 00:31:55.31\00:31:56.48 and we'll talk about that. 00:31:56.48\00:31:57.78 Anointing with oil in the name of the Lord, 00:31:57.78\00:32:00.65 and trust that the person will be raised up. 00:32:00.65\00:32:03.15 Now, I've been involved in this service, 00:32:03.15\00:32:05.29 I know Pastor Carlos is too. 00:32:05.29\00:32:07.09 And I have seen some wonderful answers to prayer 00:32:07.09\00:32:10.53 where healing has occurred on multiple occasions. 00:32:10.53\00:32:13.73 But the ultimate promise that we find in this verse 00:32:13.73\00:32:16.60 is even if we are healed now, 00:32:16.60\00:32:19.10 the greatest reward is the new body when we are raised up 00:32:19.10\00:32:22.94 at the second coming of Christ. 00:32:22.94\00:32:24.81 So there is a temporal healing that we might experience now, 00:32:24.81\00:32:27.88 but the promise is our sins will be forgiven 00:32:27.88\00:32:30.18 if we trust in the Lord, 00:32:30.18\00:32:31.68 and we'll be raised up when He comes. 00:32:31.68\00:32:33.65 Well, what is this prayer of faith? 00:32:33.65\00:32:35.52 Well, I believe the prayer of faith 00:32:35.52\00:32:37.02 can be best summarized by the words of Jesus 00:32:37.02\00:32:39.85 when Jesus prayed, Thy will be done. 00:32:39.85\00:32:44.03 You know, we come to the Lord, we give Him our request, 00:32:44.03\00:32:46.73 we say, Lord, please heal us or heal this person. 00:32:46.73\00:32:50.10 We confess our sins. 00:32:50.10\00:32:52.20 Wanna make sure that we are right with God, 00:32:52.20\00:32:53.84 and we pray in faith, 00:32:53.84\00:32:55.07 trusting that the Lord hears our prayer, 00:32:55.07\00:32:56.87 but ultimately, we also are willing to submit 00:32:56.87\00:32:59.54 to whatever God's will is for us. 00:32:59.54\00:33:01.74 Sometimes that can be a challenge. 00:33:01.74\00:33:04.25 Maybe the healing doesn't come as quickly as we would like, 00:33:04.25\00:33:06.95 or maybe there is a witness 00:33:06.95\00:33:08.95 that we can be through this ailment. 00:33:08.95\00:33:11.62 You know, Pastor Carlos, 00:33:11.62\00:33:12.72 I'm reminded of the story of Paul, 00:33:12.72\00:33:14.56 where he had some kind of ailment, 00:33:14.56\00:33:17.66 - Mm-hmm. - and he prayed. 00:33:17.66\00:33:19.36 And he speaks about it being a thorn in his side. 00:33:19.36\00:33:21.66 And he prayed saying, 00:33:21.66\00:33:23.00 "Lord, deliver me from this, heal me from this." 00:33:23.00\00:33:24.90 And the message came back. 00:33:24.90\00:33:26.50 My grace is sufficient 00:33:26.50\00:33:28.70 for my strength is made perfect in weakness. 00:33:28.70\00:33:32.01 And so in that case, 00:33:32.01\00:33:33.14 Paul was not healed while he had faith. 00:33:33.14\00:33:35.68 He had the prayer of faith. 00:33:35.68\00:33:37.11 He submitted to whatever the will of God is. 00:33:37.11\00:33:39.51 So I think that's an important component 00:33:39.51\00:33:41.02 that we need to bear in mind 00:33:41.02\00:33:41.88 when we pray the prayer of faith, 00:33:41.88\00:33:43.85 we are saying not my will, thy will be done. 00:33:43.85\00:33:46.89 Does that help, Kenneth? 00:33:46.89\00:33:49.09 - Yes, it does. 00:33:49.09\00:33:49.96 Thank you so very much. 00:33:49.96\00:33:51.63 - All right. We appreciate your call. 00:33:51.63\00:33:52.99 Thanks for calling. 00:33:52.99\00:33:54.30 You know, we do have a book that talks about prayer, 00:33:54.30\00:33:56.67 and it's called Teach Us to Pray. 00:33:56.67\00:33:57.50 - Teach Us to Pray 00:33:57.50\00:33:58.47 - And it's free. 00:33:58.47\00:34:00.07 We'll be happy to send that to anyone who calls and asks. 00:34:00.07\00:34:01.90 The number for that is 800-835-6747. 00:34:01.90\00:34:06.24 And again, the book is called Teach Us to Pray, 00:34:06.24\00:34:08.38 written by Pastor Doug. 00:34:08.38\00:34:09.74 We'll be happy to send it to anyone who calls and asks. 00:34:09.74\00:34:12.71 - Amen. - Who's our next caller? 00:34:12.71\00:34:14.05 - Next, we have Shelly calling us from Michigan. 00:34:14.05\00:34:16.48 Welcome, Shelly. 00:34:16.48\00:34:18.15 - Good evening, pastors. 00:34:18.15\00:34:19.22 Thank you for taking my call. 00:34:19.22\00:34:20.79 I was just wondering if there's anything in the Bible 00:34:22.09\00:34:24.26 that would help me with, 00:34:24.26\00:34:26.66 my ex-husband and I are divorced 00:34:27.76\00:34:29.90 and have been for almost 10 years, 00:34:29.90\00:34:32.70 and we're starting to get back together. 00:34:32.70\00:34:36.81 And I'm just wondering if there's anything in the Bible 00:34:36.81\00:34:39.81 that says that I can remarry him 00:34:39.81\00:34:43.24 or further that relationship, 00:34:43.24\00:34:46.78 or am I not supposed to do that? 00:34:46.78\00:34:49.45 - Okay. Yeah, good question. 00:34:49.45\00:34:51.09 So if two people are married, 00:34:51.09\00:34:53.05 and for some reason, the marriage falls apart 00:34:53.05\00:34:55.02 but they're still able to be friends, 00:34:55.02\00:34:58.96 and the relationship is able to grow, 00:34:58.96\00:35:00.66 and maybe both of them experience a conversion, 00:35:00.66\00:35:03.43 and they realize that they really do love this person, 00:35:03.43\00:35:06.17 and they want to recommit their lives and get remarried. 00:35:06.17\00:35:09.50 That's perfectly appropriate. 00:35:09.50\00:35:11.54 Now, of course, if somebody is remarried in the interim, 00:35:11.54\00:35:14.24 well, no, you can't get remarried. 00:35:14.24\00:35:16.34 But if both individuals have re remained unmarried 00:35:16.34\00:35:19.41 and they've been able to come together and harmonize 00:35:19.41\00:35:22.88 and love each other 00:35:22.88\00:35:25.39 and they wanna recommit to that marriage, 00:35:25.39\00:35:27.82 that's perfectly appropriate according to the Bible. 00:35:27.82\00:35:30.69 - Thank you so much. 00:35:30.69\00:35:32.49 I really do appreciate that. 00:35:32.49\00:35:34.10 Thank you. 00:35:34.10\00:35:34.86 - All right. You're welcome. 00:35:34.86\00:35:35.73 Thank you. 00:35:35.73\00:35:37.00 Thank you, Shelly. - Amen. 00:35:37.00\00:35:38.80 Next, we have Lori calling us from Indiana. 00:35:38.80\00:35:41.24 Welcome to Bible Answers Live. 00:35:41.24\00:35:42.87 - Thank you for taking my call. 00:35:43.67\00:35:46.07 Well, it's kinda hard to voice it. 00:35:46.07\00:35:49.18 My daughter recently had a drug overdose 00:35:49.18\00:35:51.58 and she became brain dead. 00:35:51.58\00:35:53.28 I wanna know where in the Bible I could find 00:35:53.28\00:35:55.88 if she is still gonna be able to go to heaven. 00:35:55.88\00:35:58.62 She was saved and baptized, 00:35:58.62\00:36:00.66 but obviously, she was backslid, 00:36:00.66\00:36:02.79 and I don't think she had time to ask for forgiveness. 00:36:02.79\00:36:06.43 But she sent me prayer hands right before 00:36:06.43\00:36:09.03 cause she'd asked me to come and get her. 00:36:09.03\00:36:10.63 - Okay. 00:36:10.63\00:36:11.73 - That she didn't wanna be alone. 00:36:11.73\00:36:12.40 Yeah, absolutely. 00:36:12.40\00:36:13.50 You know, we don't know the heart. 00:36:13.50\00:36:15.44 And I think that's why the Bible's very clear 00:36:15.44\00:36:17.11 that it says it's not for us to judge. 00:36:17.11\00:36:18.94 God knows the heart. 00:36:18.94\00:36:20.21 It's also encouraging to know 00:36:21.78\00:36:23.38 that God doesn't judge us eternally 00:36:23.38\00:36:25.68 based upon maybe one good decision we might make 00:36:25.68\00:36:29.05 or one bad decision. 00:36:29.05\00:36:30.92 But rather, it's the chain of our lives, 00:36:30.92\00:36:33.49 it's the direction of our life. 00:36:33.49\00:36:35.56 And I think that's why it's important for us not to judge. 00:36:35.56\00:36:37.76 God knows. 00:36:37.76\00:36:38.99 And there are circumstances that might occur. 00:36:38.99\00:36:41.00 You know, I know of experiences 00:36:41.00\00:36:42.36 where somebody might have been in incredible pain, 00:36:42.36\00:36:45.53 and in a moment of weakness, 00:36:45.53\00:36:46.90 they tried to commit suicide and they took some pills, 00:36:46.90\00:36:51.21 only to realize what they had done. 00:36:51.21\00:36:53.38 And they called and said, I've made a terrible mistake, 00:36:53.38\00:36:55.71 but it was too late. 00:36:55.71\00:36:57.38 They confessed what they had done and said, 00:36:57.38\00:36:59.05 "Lord, please forgive me." 00:36:59.05\00:36:59.85 So we don't know the heart. 00:36:59.85\00:37:01.95 Probably the best thing we could do 00:37:01.95\00:37:03.25 is to recognize that God loves our children 00:37:03.25\00:37:05.62 even more than we do. 00:37:05.62\00:37:07.42 And He will do everything He can to save. 00:37:07.42\00:37:09.89 So we can pray and we can place them in the hands of Jesus, 00:37:09.89\00:37:13.23 and trust that He knows what's best. 00:37:13.23\00:37:15.80 And thank God for His mercy and His grace 00:37:15.80\00:37:19.47 and just trust in Him. 00:37:19.47\00:37:20.74 - You know, it's just really been tearing me up 00:37:22.07\00:37:23.44 because I'm so afraid for her 00:37:23.44\00:37:24.84 cause she's in a nursing home now, 00:37:24.84\00:37:26.68 and she's only 36 years old. 00:37:26.68\00:37:28.14 She can't speak. 00:37:28.14\00:37:29.41 She can open her eyes and that's it. 00:37:29.41\00:37:30.75 She can't talk or anything or move. 00:37:30.75\00:37:32.71 And like I said, 00:37:32.71\00:37:34.22 I'd been trying to preach to her. 00:37:34.22\00:37:36.12 And I told her she'd go to heaven, 00:37:36.12\00:37:37.55 but I didn't realize, 00:37:37.55\00:37:39.49 I mean, if you don't repent, 00:37:39.49\00:37:41.26 is there anywhere in the Bible that I could look 00:37:41.26\00:37:43.79 that would tell me this? 00:37:43.79\00:37:45.09 - Yes, there are. 00:37:46.06\00:37:47.13 - When she dies, cause she did die, 00:37:47.13\00:37:48.26 does her spirit leave or come back or what? 00:37:48.26\00:37:50.90 - No. You know, the good news is that the Bible says 00:37:50.90\00:37:53.40 if there's life there is hope. 00:37:53.40\00:37:55.10 So if someone is alive and they're able to understand, 00:37:55.10\00:37:59.34 there is hope. 00:37:59.34\00:38:00.74 And again, you don't know how much she does understand. 00:38:00.74\00:38:03.88 We don't know what's happening in her mind, 00:38:03.88\00:38:05.71 we don't know how the Spirit is working 00:38:05.71\00:38:07.55 so we can pray for her. 00:38:07.55\00:38:09.15 I've heard many stories, again, 00:38:09.15\00:38:11.05 of people who were in a coma, 00:38:11.05\00:38:13.69 and people thought they couldn't hear, 00:38:13.69\00:38:15.16 but actually they could. 00:38:15.16\00:38:16.79 And you could still talk to them, 00:38:16.79\00:38:18.26 talk about Jesus. 00:38:18.26\00:38:20.06 You can ask her if she will respond, 00:38:20.06\00:38:22.13 you can say, have you accepted Jesus? 00:38:22.13\00:38:24.13 and give her an opportunity. 00:38:24.13\00:38:25.90 But you can keep encouraging her. 00:38:25.90\00:38:28.34 And you don't know, 00:38:28.34\00:38:29.14 the Lord might open up a window 00:38:29.14\00:38:30.44 or understanding might clear up 00:38:30.44\00:38:32.57 if she's not made that decision. 00:38:32.57\00:38:35.18 So just keep being the best example that you can, 00:38:35.18\00:38:38.61 and place her in God's hands and trust in Him. 00:38:38.61\00:38:41.75 - Thank you so much. 00:38:42.95\00:38:44.32 If you wouldn't mind praying for her also. 00:38:44.32\00:38:47.06 Her name's Angela. 00:38:47.06\00:38:48.39 - Yeah. We will definitely keep Angela and pray. 00:38:48.39\00:38:50.49 You know what Lori? 00:38:50.49\00:38:51.29 Let's pray right now, okay? 00:38:51.29\00:38:52.53 - Thank you. 00:38:52.53\00:38:53.36 - Dear Father in heaven, 00:38:53.36\00:38:54.13 we just want to come before you, 00:38:54.13\00:38:55.46 and we want to lift up Angela a very special way. 00:38:55.46\00:38:57.73 You know how dear our children are to us, 00:38:57.73\00:38:59.80 and we know, Father, they are dear to you 00:38:59.80\00:39:02.10 because you are our Father. 00:39:02.10\00:39:03.91 So we just pray for Angela, we pray for Lori, 00:39:03.91\00:39:06.01 and we ask that you would just keep your hand 00:39:06.01\00:39:07.84 over that situation, Lord, 00:39:07.84\00:39:09.51 and do everything you can to save. 00:39:09.51\00:39:11.41 And we thank you in Jesus name. Amen. 00:39:11.41\00:39:13.72 - Amen. - Amen. Praise God. 00:39:13.72\00:39:15.38 - God bless you, Lori. - Thank you so much. 00:39:15.38\00:39:17.02 - All right. Thanks. - You too. 00:39:17.02\00:39:17.85 - Buh-bye. 00:39:17.85\00:39:18.75 - Anthony from New York, 00:39:19.92\00:39:21.76 you are live on Bible Answers Live. 00:39:21.76\00:39:23.66 Welcome. 00:39:23.66\00:39:24.56 - Yes. Good evening, pastors. 00:39:26.06\00:39:27.23 Can you hear me okay? 00:39:27.23\00:39:28.03 - Yep. - We can. 00:39:28.03\00:39:28.96 - Okay, good. 00:39:30.07\00:39:31.20 I think there's a delay on my phone. 00:39:31.20\00:39:32.50 My question is based on Matthew chapter 10, verse two, 00:39:32.50\00:39:36.84 where it lists the disciples. 00:39:38.91\00:39:41.04 Verse 2 through 4 actually. 00:39:42.68\00:39:44.71 And so my question is 00:39:44.71\00:39:46.55 we always hear about the usual suspects, 00:39:46.55\00:39:48.52 Peter, Andrew, James, John, 00:39:48.52\00:39:51.15 Judas, Thomas. 00:39:52.49\00:39:54.22 But then as I look in this list, 00:39:54.22\00:39:55.86 I see there's a few that we never, 00:39:55.86\00:39:58.49 at least I've never really heard much about, 00:39:58.49\00:40:00.23 like Bartholomew, 00:40:00.23\00:40:01.33 Thaddeus, 00:40:04.63\00:40:05.53 and ones like that, 00:40:06.74\00:40:08.30 or James, son of Alphaeus and things like that. 00:40:08.30\00:40:10.71 I know that there's one of them 00:40:10.71\00:40:11.81 that was suspect to be the brother of Jesus 00:40:11.81\00:40:13.71 or something like that. 00:40:13.71\00:40:15.04 Or maybe that was the one that wrote the book of James. 00:40:15.04\00:40:16.64 I was wondering, could you expound on, 00:40:16.64\00:40:18.61 maybe just giving us a little background, if there is any, 00:40:19.98\00:40:22.58 on some of the other disciples and who they were. 00:40:22.58\00:40:25.65 - Okay, good question. 00:40:25.65\00:40:27.16 Yes, of course we are very familiar 00:40:27.16\00:40:28.62 with the disciples that played a leading role 00:40:28.62\00:40:31.59 during the time of Christ ministry. 00:40:31.59\00:40:33.56 We know that Peter, James, and John, 00:40:33.56\00:40:35.43 they formed sort of an inner circle of disciples 00:40:35.43\00:40:37.93 that got to share some very special experiences with Jesus. 00:40:37.93\00:40:41.34 But the other disciples were very devote, 00:40:41.34\00:40:43.37 they were very committed. 00:40:43.37\00:40:44.71 They had some wonderful experiences with Jesus, 00:40:44.71\00:40:47.01 and they were very involved after the resurrection 00:40:47.01\00:40:50.08 in the early church, 00:40:50.08\00:40:51.65 other than, of course, Judas Iscariot. 00:40:51.65\00:40:53.62 So they all had different roles. 00:40:53.62\00:40:56.02 The Bible doesn't explain all of what they did, 00:40:56.02\00:40:59.05 all of what all the other disciples did. 00:40:59.05\00:41:01.79 There is some traditions, 00:41:01.79\00:41:04.19 and I think they're actually pretty solid. 00:41:04.19\00:41:07.30 Thomas, one of the disciples, 00:41:07.30\00:41:09.73 is believed to have gone to India as a missionary 00:41:09.73\00:41:12.93 after the resurrection, 00:41:12.93\00:41:14.64 and he was killed in India. 00:41:14.64\00:41:16.91 And there's actually an area in India that you can go visit 00:41:16.91\00:41:20.04 where they believe Thomas was buried. 00:41:20.04\00:41:23.41 So all of the disciples are involved 00:41:23.41\00:41:25.35 in some type of missionary activity. 00:41:25.35\00:41:27.45 The Bible doesn't give us a whole lot more about them. 00:41:27.45\00:41:29.62 In the book of Acts, 00:41:29.62\00:41:30.99 you have some of the key people, as you mentioned, 00:41:30.99\00:41:32.59 but the focus of the book of Acts 00:41:32.59\00:41:33.99 is really the gospel going out to the Gentile world. 00:41:33.99\00:41:37.23 And that's where Paul plays such a significant role 00:41:37.23\00:41:40.10 in taking the gospel to the world. 00:41:40.10\00:41:42.13 But the other disciples 00:41:42.13\00:41:43.47 were involved in the work in Jerusalem, 00:41:43.47\00:41:45.30 up until the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. 00:41:45.30\00:41:47.54 And just prior to that, 00:41:47.54\00:41:49.37 there was persecution 00:41:49.37\00:41:50.64 that caused a lot of the Christians to scatter. 00:41:50.64\00:41:52.97 But we don't have a whole lot of reference other than that, 00:41:52.97\00:41:55.21 with reference to what happened to the other disciples. 00:41:55.21\00:41:58.25 We know they we're all faithful, 00:41:58.25\00:41:59.71 other than Judas Iscariot. 00:41:59.71\00:42:02.65 So hopefully that helps a little bit, Anthony. 00:42:02.65\00:42:05.02 - Yes. Thank you. 00:42:06.52\00:42:07.32 Or do you have any resources 00:42:07.32\00:42:08.39 that talk about other disciples at all? 00:42:08.39\00:42:10.53 - You know, I'm trying to think 00:42:10.53\00:42:11.33 if Amazing Facts has anything. 00:42:11.33\00:42:12.66 I don't think we have anything specific on that. 00:42:12.66\00:42:15.90 We do reference, 00:42:15.90\00:42:17.00 there is a book called The 144000. 00:42:17.00\00:42:19.70 It's talking about God's end time sort of apostles 00:42:19.70\00:42:22.70 that take the three angels message or the gospel 00:42:22.70\00:42:25.01 to the world. 00:42:25.01\00:42:26.57 I'm not sure if it might reference the 12 apostles in 00:42:26.57\00:42:30.11 that, but it doesn't really give much of the historical context. 00:42:30.11\00:42:33.55 There are historical books. 00:42:33.55\00:42:35.12 I know Foxe's Book of Martyrs is one that comes to mind 00:42:35.12\00:42:38.79 that actually mentions the number of the apostles 00:42:38.79\00:42:41.72 that you don't often hear about 00:42:41.72\00:42:43.32 and how they died based on tradition, 00:42:43.32\00:42:46.53 and based on research that's been done. 00:42:46.53\00:42:48.80 So you might want to take a look at that. 00:42:48.80\00:42:50.80 I know I've read the first section of that book 00:42:50.80\00:42:52.80 that talks about what happened to the apostles. 00:42:52.80\00:42:55.90 All right. Thank you for your call, Anthony. 00:42:55.90\00:42:57.41 Who do we have next? 00:42:57.41\00:42:59.11 - Eric from Canada, 00:42:59.11\00:43:00.51 welcome to Bible Answers Live. 00:43:00.51\00:43:02.34 - I've been really struggling 00:43:04.05\00:43:07.32 with understanding science and Bible. 00:43:07.32\00:43:11.55 - Okay. 00:43:15.02\00:43:15.92 - Cause it just feels like there's just so much evidence 00:43:17.83\00:43:20.63 against the Bible with science. 00:43:20.63\00:43:23.00 I don't know. 00:43:24.77\00:43:25.67 We struggle with understanding origins, 00:43:28.57\00:43:32.61 like, especially with creation and the evolution issue. 00:43:32.61\00:43:36.98 - Okay. 00:43:36.98\00:43:37.78 - So how do we overcome that? 00:43:37.78\00:43:40.08 Cause it's been really affected my faith 00:43:40.08\00:43:42.65 and how I see the Bible. 00:43:42.65\00:43:44.32 - Okay. Good question. 00:43:44.32\00:43:46.22 And I'm gonna have Carlos address this a little bit 00:43:46.22\00:43:48.32 because your experience is somewhat unique. 00:43:48.32\00:43:50.36 You know, if we look at science correctly, 00:43:50.36\00:43:52.59 especially through the lens of the Bible, 00:43:52.59\00:43:55.26 understanding the biblical account of creation, 00:43:56.70\00:43:59.63 the flood, what happened to the dinosaurs, 00:43:59.63\00:44:02.90 looking at it from a biblical perspective 00:44:02.90\00:44:05.01 makes a whole lot more sense 00:44:05.01\00:44:07.11 than going along with the idea of slow change 00:44:07.11\00:44:11.61 over long periods of time. 00:44:11.61\00:44:12.95 There are just too many problems 00:44:12.95\00:44:14.92 with what often is referred to 00:44:14.92\00:44:16.89 as the popular understanding of evolution, 00:44:16.89\00:44:19.35 where you have a lightning bolt 00:44:19.35\00:44:21.96 that somehow affected some chemicals in a pond on the earth 00:44:21.96\00:44:25.96 and proteins were formed. 00:44:25.96\00:44:27.76 And then suddenly the proteins were able to create a cell. 00:44:27.76\00:44:31.17 And somehow, the cell knew that it had to divide 00:44:31.17\00:44:34.54 and it had to separate its DNA and it had to have a nucleus 00:44:34.54\00:44:38.51 and everything else in place for a cell to have life. 00:44:38.51\00:44:41.44 The chance of that happening by itself is impossible. 00:44:41.44\00:44:44.71 But understanding what the Bible says, 00:44:45.81\00:44:47.45 and then looking at science through the lens of scripture, 00:44:47.45\00:44:50.22 everything fits in together in a beautiful way, 00:44:50.22\00:44:53.19 and we can understand creation, 00:44:53.19\00:44:54.72 we can understand science far clearer 00:44:54.72\00:44:58.13 if we look at it from the Bible perspective. 00:44:58.13\00:45:00.26 Now, Pastor Carlos, you weren't always a Christian. 00:45:00.26\00:45:02.93 And I believe it was science 00:45:02.93\00:45:04.83 that really led you to search the scripture 00:45:04.83\00:45:07.87 because things weren't adding up. 00:45:07.87\00:45:09.80 - Yeah, that's right. 00:45:09.80\00:45:10.61 It was the study of science 00:45:10.61\00:45:12.21 that's making me see the complexity 00:45:12.21\00:45:13.88 and how everything is synchronized 00:45:13.88\00:45:16.24 and everything is orderly and has a purpose. 00:45:16.24\00:45:18.95 And so what I would say, Eric, 00:45:18.95\00:45:20.32 is that when you look at science, 00:45:20.32\00:45:21.68 remember, science is just the gathering of information 00:45:21.68\00:45:24.32 through scientific experiments, 00:45:25.12\00:45:27.16 through scientific instruments. 00:45:27.16\00:45:29.02 The problem thus is not the science, 00:45:29.02\00:45:31.26 but the interpretation 00:45:31.26\00:45:32.59 that many people give of the scientific discoveries. 00:45:32.59\00:45:35.46 And those we've learned that consistently throughout time, 00:45:35.46\00:45:38.40 they're changing, 00:45:38.40\00:45:39.23 they realize scientists 00:45:39.23\00:45:40.34 are always updating their information. 00:45:40.34\00:45:42.24 So with the Bible, we know that there's no changing, 00:45:42.24\00:45:45.91 there's no variation. 00:45:45.91\00:45:47.21 And so I've come to find 00:45:47.21\00:45:49.78 the Bible has been consistently confirmed 00:45:49.78\00:45:51.98 both scientifically, historically, 00:45:51.98\00:45:54.88 through archeology, 00:45:54.88\00:45:56.15 and through a number of different ways. 00:45:56.15\00:45:57.39 So, you know, 00:45:57.39\00:45:58.29 just remember that many people have different agendas, 00:45:59.59\00:46:01.72 whether it'd be intellectual agendas, political agendas 00:46:01.72\00:46:05.29 in regards to their scientific interpretation. 00:46:05.29\00:46:07.30 But when we go to scripture, 00:46:07.30\00:46:08.60 there's always a solid foundation 00:46:08.60\00:46:09.96 into how God wants to portray creation and understand it. 00:46:09.96\00:46:13.84 - You know, Eric, we have a book 00:46:13.84\00:46:15.10 and you can read it online 00:46:15.10\00:46:16.57 by just going to the Amazing Facts website 00:46:16.57\00:46:18.34 or call and order it, 00:46:18.34\00:46:19.47 and we'll be happy to send it to you. 00:46:19.47\00:46:20.88 It's called How Evolution Flunked The Science Test. 00:46:20.88\00:46:24.25 It's an interesting read. 00:46:24.25\00:46:26.05 How Evolution Flunked The Science Test. 00:46:26.05\00:46:28.85 And you'll find a lot of great information. 00:46:28.85\00:46:30.99 And if you can accept what the Bible says 00:46:30.99\00:46:33.89 about, you know, origin, 00:46:33.89\00:46:35.46 suddenly the world around you makes sense. 00:46:35.46\00:46:38.03 So we encourage you to call and ask for that. 00:46:38.03\00:46:39.73 The number is 800-835-6747. 00:46:39.73\00:46:42.93 Ask for the book, How Evolution Flunked The Science Test, 00:46:42.93\00:46:46.00 and we'll be happy to send it to anyone who calls and asks. 00:46:46.00\00:46:48.90 Who do we have next? 00:46:48.90\00:46:49.94 - Next we have Samuel from Wisconsin. 00:46:49.94\00:46:52.11 Samuel, welcome. 00:46:52.11\00:46:53.61 - Peace be with you brothers in Christ. 00:46:53.61\00:46:55.64 - Amen. - Hi, Samuel. 00:46:55.64\00:46:57.38 - Calling about 2 Peter 3:17-18. 00:46:57.38\00:47:02.45 And I see as the darkness deepens 00:47:04.32\00:47:07.66 that the light will brighten 00:47:07.66\00:47:09.26 and I have great joy at the soon coming of the Lord. 00:47:09.26\00:47:12.43 - Absolutely. 00:47:14.50\00:47:15.86 And the question you're asking about 2 Peter 3:17? 00:47:15.86\00:47:18.33 - Chapter 3, verse 17 and 18. 00:47:20.77\00:47:23.24 - Okay. Let me go ahead and read that 00:47:23.24\00:47:24.51 for those who are listening. 00:47:24.51\00:47:26.54 It says you therefore, beloved, 00:47:26.54\00:47:27.91 since you know this beforehand, 00:47:27.91\00:47:30.68 beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, 00:47:30.68\00:47:34.88 being led away with the errors of the wicked. 00:47:34.88\00:47:37.65 But grow in grace and the knowledge 00:47:37.65\00:47:39.79 of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 00:47:39.79\00:47:41.92 To Him be glory both now and forever. Amen. 00:47:41.92\00:47:44.39 And your question on that, Samuel? 00:47:46.26\00:47:48.30 - Is that a path, pastor, as my search for the Lord, 00:47:49.70\00:47:54.04 that I understand is soon coming, 00:47:54.04\00:47:56.64 that I do not have the fear of the world, 00:47:56.64\00:48:01.01 but the joy of the coming of the Lord? 00:48:01.01\00:48:03.35 - Absolutely. 00:48:03.35\00:48:04.75 You know, the Bible tells us perfect love casts out fear. 00:48:04.75\00:48:08.58 And if we're longing for the coming of Christ, 00:48:08.58\00:48:11.59 we need not be afraid. 00:48:11.59\00:48:13.49 And when we study Bible prophecy, 00:48:13.49\00:48:15.06 we understand that yes, there will be trials that'll come. 00:48:15.06\00:48:18.26 But we also know that Jesus has said, 00:48:18.26\00:48:20.10 He'll never leave us nor forsake us. 00:48:20.10\00:48:22.73 And if Jesus is with you, you need not fear. 00:48:22.73\00:48:25.53 He will carry you through whatever it is 00:48:25.53\00:48:28.07 that the future has in store for you. 00:48:28.07\00:48:31.01 So we can trust in God. 00:48:31.01\00:48:32.41 He will see us through. 00:48:32.41\00:48:34.11 The Bible tells us here to grow in grace. 00:48:34.11\00:48:36.64 And so if we're studying, 00:48:36.64\00:48:37.78 if we are growing in our relationship with Jesus, 00:48:37.78\00:48:40.75 our trust and faith in Him will grow, 00:48:40.75\00:48:43.18 and we'll be looking forward to that glorious day 00:48:43.18\00:48:45.19 when Jesus comes. 00:48:45.19\00:48:46.22 Now, that doesn't mean that, 00:48:46.22\00:48:47.49 you know, we're just focused on ourselves saying, 00:48:47.49\00:48:50.39 oh, I want Jesus to come so that we can be delivered 00:48:50.39\00:48:53.53 from this world of sin and sorrow, 00:48:53.53\00:48:55.53 but we're also doing everything we can 00:48:55.53\00:48:57.97 to tell others about Jesus' soon coming, 00:48:57.97\00:49:00.57 because we want others to be ready 00:49:00.57\00:49:02.00 for Christ to come as well. 00:49:02.00\00:49:03.71 So we're being a positive witness in our life, 00:49:03.71\00:49:06.61 in our experience. 00:49:06.61\00:49:07.94 We're sharing with others as opportunity arises. 00:49:07.94\00:49:11.21 We're trying to do the best we can 00:49:11.21\00:49:12.55 to build up the kingdom of heaven. 00:49:12.55\00:49:14.32 - Amen. And maranatha Jesus. 00:49:15.12\00:49:17.02 - All right. - Thank you. 00:49:17.02\00:49:18.25 - Absolutely Samuel. God bless you. 00:49:18.25\00:49:20.42 Thanks for your call. 00:49:20.42\00:49:22.02 Who do we have next? 00:49:22.02\00:49:22.82 Eric from Kansas, I think. 00:49:22.82\00:49:25.09 Eric, you're you're live on BAL. 00:49:25.09\00:49:27.86 - Good evening, Pastor Jean Ross and Carlos. 00:49:29.46\00:49:32.43 - Hello. - Yes. 00:49:32.43\00:49:33.34 - I had a quick question. 00:49:34.14\00:49:35.87 I've heard mentioned in a few messages, name, 00:49:35.87\00:49:40.81 but I wanted to ask, 00:49:40.81\00:49:43.31 is it mentioned anywhere in the Bible named 00:49:43.31\00:49:47.02 the woman that was placed at Christ feet 00:49:48.08\00:49:50.32 that was found in adultery. 00:49:50.32\00:49:53.42 - You know, in the story that we find in scripture, 00:49:54.79\00:49:56.69 her name is not mentioned specifically in that passage. 00:49:56.69\00:50:01.06 But with a little sanctified detective work, 00:50:01.06\00:50:04.83 we can kind of figure out who that is. 00:50:04.83\00:50:07.34 And there's a number of clues that we find in the Bible. 00:50:07.34\00:50:09.77 There is a woman that's referred to as Mary of Magdala, 00:50:09.77\00:50:13.44 and then there's a Mary, the sister of Martha, 00:50:13.44\00:50:17.25 and she's also the sister of Lazarus. 00:50:17.25\00:50:19.91 Now Mary Martha and Lazarus lived in a town of Bethesda, 00:50:19.91\00:50:23.85 which was close to Jerusalem, actually just outside. 00:50:23.85\00:50:27.22 And whenever Jesus was in the facility of Jerusalem, 00:50:27.22\00:50:29.72 he would often stay in their home. 00:50:29.72\00:50:31.59 It's the same Lazarus that died 00:50:31.59\00:50:33.33 that Jesus raised from the dead. 00:50:33.33\00:50:35.16 But then when it talks about this Mary of Magdala, 00:50:36.56\00:50:39.70 we also know that Mary, the one from Lazarus' sister, 00:50:39.70\00:50:44.67 apparently, she had a bad reputation in town 00:50:44.67\00:50:47.21 because on one occasion, 00:50:47.21\00:50:48.51 when Jesus was there at the home of Mary Martha, 00:50:48.51\00:50:53.11 Mary came in and anointed the feet of Jesus. 00:50:55.02\00:50:58.15 And Simon the Pharisee said if he was a prophet, 00:50:58.15\00:51:01.16 he would know what kind of woman this is. 00:51:01.16\00:51:04.43 So Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus, 00:51:04.43\00:51:07.76 she had a bad reputation. 00:51:07.76\00:51:10.03 It's quite possible that Mary left Bethany 00:51:10.03\00:51:14.90 or where she was and went up to Magdala, 00:51:14.90\00:51:17.27 which is close to the Sea of Galilee. 00:51:17.27\00:51:20.01 And she was a prostitute. 00:51:20.01\00:51:21.98 There were a lot of Roman soldiers 00:51:21.98\00:51:23.38 that were stationed in Magdala. 00:51:23.38\00:51:24.75 And that's where the name Mary of Magdala comes from. 00:51:24.75\00:51:27.28 She made Jesus, 00:51:27.28\00:51:28.42 Jesus cast out seven demons. 00:51:28.42\00:51:30.82 It's quite possible that she slipped back 00:51:30.82\00:51:33.15 because, you know, seven times, 00:51:33.15\00:51:34.72 she seemed to fall back into the same sin. 00:51:34.72\00:51:37.36 It's very possible that she was also the one 00:51:37.36\00:51:39.39 that was caught committing adultery and Jesus forgave her. 00:51:39.39\00:51:43.53 And that's why she was so grateful 00:51:43.53\00:51:46.70 just a few days before the death of Jesus. 00:51:46.70\00:51:49.10 When she anointed the feet of Jesus, she wept. 00:51:49.10\00:51:52.11 And Jesus said, "You see this woman? 00:51:52.11\00:51:54.74 She loves much because she has been forgiven much." 00:51:54.74\00:51:57.91 And we also know that that was the same Mary 00:51:57.91\00:52:00.08 that Jesus appeared to first when He rose from the dead 00:52:00.08\00:52:03.32 on the death on Sunday morning. 00:52:03.32\00:52:05.59 So just a beautiful story. 00:52:05.59\00:52:08.36 You know, we have a book at Amazing Facts, 00:52:08.36\00:52:10.53 it's called At Jesus Feet. 00:52:10.53\00:52:12.19 And it's the story of Mary, 00:52:12.19\00:52:14.36 Mary Magdala or Mary, the sister of Lazarus. 00:52:14.36\00:52:18.83 And it gets into all of the verses 00:52:18.83\00:52:20.57 and more of the detail of who that Mary is. 00:52:20.57\00:52:23.17 And I think you'd really enjoy reading it, Eric, 00:52:23.17\00:52:25.24 but I think you're on the right track. 00:52:25.24\00:52:27.24 The Mary that was the sister of Lazarus, 00:52:27.24\00:52:31.48 Mary Magdala and also the woman caught in adultery 00:52:31.48\00:52:34.62 is probably the same person. 00:52:34.62\00:52:36.95 All right. Thanks for your call. 00:52:36.95\00:52:37.89 Who do we have next? 00:52:37.89\00:52:39.12 - Next, we have Robert from Washington. 00:52:39.12\00:52:41.32 You're on the air, Robert. 00:52:41.32\00:52:42.42 - Robert, welcome to the program. 00:52:42.42\00:52:44.03 - Thank you. Glad you could squeeze me in. 00:52:44.03\00:52:46.53 - Absolutely. 00:52:46.53\00:52:47.76 - I was interested in 1 Corinthians 15:2. 00:52:47.76\00:52:50.97 I've heard some people say 00:52:54.90\00:52:56.67 that because of the wording that 00:52:58.37\00:53:02.48 as an Adam all died, 00:53:04.45\00:53:06.08 but then with Christ, 00:53:06.08\00:53:09.08 all will be made alive. 00:53:10.72\00:53:11.92 And so does the all mean all? 00:53:11.92\00:53:15.92 - Okay. Good question. 00:53:15.92\00:53:17.29 Yeah. First of all, you know, in Adam we all die. 00:53:17.29\00:53:20.03 So what does that mean? 00:53:20.03\00:53:20.96 Well, because of Adam's sin, 00:53:20.96\00:53:22.30 we're all born with a sinful nature. 00:53:22.30\00:53:24.80 As a result of that sinful nature, we do sinful acts, 00:53:24.80\00:53:27.80 and the wages of sin is death. 00:53:27.80\00:53:30.34 So because we are in Adam's image, 00:53:30.34\00:53:33.41 cause God said to Adam, 00:53:33.41\00:53:35.34 "You shall procreate in your own image, 00:53:35.34\00:53:38.08 according to your likeness." 00:53:38.08\00:53:39.41 So in Adam, because of Adam's sin, 00:53:39.41\00:53:41.82 we're all destined to death. 00:53:41.82\00:53:44.12 But because of Christ, the second Adam, 00:53:44.12\00:53:46.22 and because of His sacrifice, 00:53:46.22\00:53:48.52 all can be saved,. 00:53:48.52\00:53:50.36 But there is a change. 00:53:50.36\00:53:52.43 There is something we need to do. 00:53:52.43\00:53:54.30 It doesn't mean we all are going to be saved, 00:53:54.30\00:53:56.80 but all can be saved. 00:53:56.80\00:53:58.23 In other words, 00:53:58.23\00:53:59.90 Christ's sacrifice is of sufficient value to save 00:53:59.90\00:54:03.30 everyone. That's what the Bible tells us. 00:54:03.30\00:54:04.41 God can save to the uttermost, in Hebrews, 00:54:04.41\00:54:06.81 those who come to God through Him. 00:54:06.81\00:54:09.21 But we still need to come. 00:54:09.21\00:54:10.98 You know, the famous verse, John 3:16, 00:54:10.98\00:54:13.72 for God so love the world that He gave His only Begotten Son 00:54:13.72\00:54:16.12 that whosoever believes in Him 00:54:16.12\00:54:18.89 shall have everlasting life. 00:54:18.89\00:54:20.66 The whosoever believes, that would include anyone 00:54:20.66\00:54:23.46 because Christ's sacrifice is available to anyone. 00:54:23.46\00:54:26.63 But we do need to respond to that sacrifice. 00:54:26.63\00:54:28.83 We need to believe, 00:54:28.83\00:54:30.20 we need to come to Him, we need to ask forgiveness. 00:54:30.20\00:54:32.23 So in that sense, 00:54:32.23\00:54:33.54 that's what Paul is referring to when he says, 00:54:33.54\00:54:34.64 "So even in Christ, all shall be made alive." 00:54:34.64\00:54:37.31 Anyone that is saved is saved because of Christ. 00:54:37.31\00:54:40.11 We are saved in Christ, 00:54:40.11\00:54:41.74 but we do need to come to Him, 00:54:41.74\00:54:44.21 because God can't save us if we refuse to be saved. 00:54:44.21\00:54:47.32 If we don't repent, 00:54:47.32\00:54:48.65 there is really nothing that God can do for us. 00:54:48.65\00:54:51.29 Well, friends, we wanna thank you for all of your calls. 00:54:51.29\00:54:53.22 And if we didn't get to your calls tonight, 00:54:53.22\00:54:55.02 give us another chance. 00:54:55.02\00:54:56.36 Give us a call next week when we do Bible Answers Live. 00:54:56.36\00:54:59.29 Now, don't go anywhere just yet, 00:54:59.29\00:55:00.73 because we are gonna be taking some of the email questions 00:55:00.73\00:55:03.23 that have come in to Bible Answers Live. 00:55:03.23\00:55:05.37 But we do wanna say goodbye 00:55:05.37\00:55:06.67 to those who are listening on satellite radio. 00:55:06.67\00:55:08.94 Join us next week. 00:55:08.94\00:55:10.17 - [Announcer] Thank you for listening to today's broadcast. 00:55:12.81\00:55:15.41 We hope you understand your Bible even better than before 00:55:15.41\00:55:19.11 Bible Answers Live 00:55:19.11\00:55:20.42 is produced by Amazing Facts International, 00:55:20.42\00:55:23.25 a faith based ministry located in Granite Bay, California. 00:55:23.25\00:55:27.46 - Hello, friends. 00:55:28.99\00:55:30.06 Welcome back to Bible answers live. 00:55:30.06\00:55:31.53 We've got about two minutes 00:55:31.53\00:55:32.89 before we actually end our program 00:55:32.89\00:55:35.00 to take more Bible questions. 00:55:35.00\00:55:37.03 I want to thank you for sending in your Bible questions. 00:55:37.03\00:55:39.80 If you want to email a Bible question to us, 00:55:39.80\00:55:41.87 the address is simply BALquestions@amazingfacts.org. 00:55:41.87\00:55:46.07 Pastor Carlos, what is our questions for this evening? 00:55:47.61\00:55:50.45 - Number one, Michelle will like an explanation 00:55:50.45\00:55:52.45 of the abomination of desolation. 00:55:52.45\00:55:54.62 - Okay. The abomination of desolation. 00:55:54.62\00:55:56.45 That's referring to Jesus in Matthew chapter 24. 00:55:56.45\00:55:59.52 When He says, "When you see the abomination of desolation 00:55:59.52\00:56:02.09 spoken of by Daniel, the prophet, stand in the holy 00:56:02.09\00:56:03.83 place, let him that being Judea flee to the mountains. 00:56:04.93\00:56:07.73 Well, in the first sense, 00:56:07.73\00:56:09.10 there's sort of a dual application 00:56:09.10\00:56:10.53 to the abomination of desolation. 00:56:10.53\00:56:12.27 The first is a reference to Rome. 00:56:12.27\00:56:14.10 The Roman armies that came and surrounded Jerusalem in 70 AD 00:56:14.10\00:56:17.91 actually just before 70 AD, 00:56:17.91\00:56:19.74 that resulted in the city's destruction. 00:56:19.74\00:56:22.08 The Christians that heard Jesus speak these words, 00:56:22.08\00:56:24.81 when that time came, 00:56:24.81\00:56:25.91 they remembered what Christ said. 00:56:25.91\00:56:27.22 And when they saw the Romans surrounding Jerusalem, 00:56:27.22\00:56:29.72 there was a moment where the army, the Romans withdrew, 00:56:29.72\00:56:32.62 which allowed the Christians to escape from Jerusalem. 00:56:32.62\00:56:36.09 And when the Roman armies came back, 00:56:36.09\00:56:38.59 they did destroy the city 00:56:38.59\00:56:39.83 and there was a great slaughter. 00:56:39.83\00:56:41.63 But in Bible prophecy, there is a symbolic power, 00:56:41.63\00:56:45.13 also known as the abomination of desolation, 00:56:45.13\00:56:47.94 which is also Rome, but not pagan Rome. 00:56:47.94\00:56:50.71 In this case, it is papal Rome 00:56:50.71\00:56:53.38 that is gonna play a very important role 00:56:53.38\00:56:55.61 as we near the end of time. 00:56:55.61\00:56:57.48 And when we see papal Rome 00:56:57.48\00:57:00.15 or the papacy taking positions in governments 00:57:00.15\00:57:03.62 or influencing legislation, 00:57:03.62\00:57:05.85 then we need to be aware that well, the end is near. 00:57:05.85\00:57:09.82 And so there's a whole study on that, 00:57:09.82\00:57:11.96 but that's a dual application 00:57:11.96\00:57:13.73 for what the abomination of desolation is. 00:57:13.73\00:57:16.46 - Gary is asking if the enmity 00:57:16.46\00:57:18.10 between Satan and the church in Genesis 3:15 00:57:18.10\00:57:20.44 is to help us hate sin. 00:57:20.44\00:57:22.70 - Yes, that is something we need to pray for. 00:57:22.70\00:57:25.27 If we want to truly overcome sin, 00:57:25.27\00:57:27.54 we need to ask God to put in our hearts a hatred for sin. 00:57:27.54\00:57:31.98 You know, I know many who'd tell me 00:57:31.98\00:57:34.55 that the things they once love to do 00:57:34.55\00:57:36.65 after they came to know Christ, 00:57:36.65\00:57:38.52 they don't love to do anymore. 00:57:38.52\00:57:39.99 And the things that they didn't love, 00:57:39.99\00:57:41.72 suddenly, they begin to love. 00:57:41.72\00:57:42.82 So it's an evidence that the Spirit is working, 00:57:42.82\00:57:45.03 that there is a change occurring in the heart. 00:57:45.03\00:57:47.40 That is something that only God can do. 00:57:47.40\00:57:49.03 And we need to ask for that. 00:57:49.03\00:57:50.07 We need to be willing to allow God 00:57:50.07\00:57:52.10 to do that work within us. 00:57:52.10\00:57:53.74 - Yep. 00:57:53.74\00:57:54.80 And last, Jeff would like to know 00:57:54.80\00:57:56.57 how he can study the Bible 00:57:56.57\00:57:57.94 if he hasn't studied Greek and Aramaic and Hebrew. 00:57:57.94\00:58:00.94 - Take a look at some resources that's free online, 00:58:00.94\00:58:03.21 for example, strong concordance. 00:58:03.21\00:58:05.05 If you wanna look at what the meaning 00:58:05.05\00:58:06.28 of the original words is, 00:58:06.28\00:58:08.28 just strong concordance, you can look up the verse. 00:58:08.28\00:58:10.82 It'll tell you what the original meaning of the word is, 00:58:10.82\00:58:13.72 and it'll help your study. 00:58:13.72\00:58:14.82 Until next week. God bless. 00:58:14.82\00:58:16.49 - [Announcer] Bible Answers Live. 00:58:18.29\00:58:20.10 Honest and accurate answers to your Bible questions. 00:58:20.10\00:58:23.83
