Brooks of Wyoming

was one of the chief investors.

The odd thing, is
Wyoming is a landlocked state

with no ocean port.

Then again,
Wyoming is a very big state

and this ship was enormous.

It was a six-masted schooner

with a length of 450
feet from tip to tip.

This made the Wyoming,

the largest
wooden ship ever built.

Her six masts towered
120 feet above the deck.

And they flew
12,000 yards of sale.

To build the hull alone,

required a virtual forest
of 1.5 million feet of pine.

Those are things a person does
when they're looking forward.

And then, boom, it's
like Sodom and Gomorrah.

When they woke up that
morning, it was a beautiful day.

Birds were tweeting
from flower to flower.

I guess the birds were
going from branch to branch.

The butterflies were
going to the flowers.

his family got out, it says,

that when the end comes,

airplane writing it in the sky.

that once a person dies

and the breath of life is gone,

because we have this gift

When you die, who

So, what about His suffering?

penalty for sin is death.

But that statement
is actually a summary.

The penalty for
sin is not just death,

the penalty for
sin is punishment

according to
your works and death.

So, Jesus not
only died on the cross.

It's not like they
just flipped a switch

and Jesus went to sleep.

Jesus suffered and died.

And the suffering was
the punishment for our sins.

There are
varying degrees of reward

for both obedience,
and service, and sacrifice,

and also for sin
and disobedience.

Jesus said that he
that knew his master's will

and did not do it, will
be beaten with many stripes.

He that did not know his masters

will and didn't do it will
be beaten with few stripes.

So, to be really honest, the
penalty sin is not just dying.

Like you close your eyes
and it's eternal darkness,

it's suffering and death.

And so, Jesus suffered
for our sins on the cross.

He brings His rewards with Him

So, there is a degree.

And of course, that does involve
suffering for the wicked.

It's amazing, you read,
for example, in the Bible,

Garden of Gethsemane,

and what Jesus went through.

Where it seems if the angel
did not come and strengthen Him,

He would've died right there,
00:32:34.45\00:32:35.82
just bearing the weight
of the sins of the world.

There was amazing,
incredible suffering
00:32:38.92\00:32:41.29
more than we can ever imagine.
00:32:41.29\00:32:42.39
Which Jesus
said, "My God, My God,
00:32:42.39\00:32:43.89
why Hast thou forsaken Me?"
00:32:43.89\00:32:44.93
So, that was very real.

It was Christ bearing our sins.

- So, yeah, Jesus
experienced both mental

and physical suffering,
taking our punishment.

And one more
thought on that, Barbara,

is there's the
parable of Matthew 18,
00:32:57.54\00:32:59.61
where this unmerciful servant,
00:32:59.61\00:33:01.68
he owes this
incredible debt to the king...

king forgives him,
but then he refuses
00:33:04.41\00:33:07.08
to forgive a fellow servant,
00:33:07.08\00:33:08.48
and has this fellow servant
punished for a little debt.
00:33:08.48\00:33:12.09
The king says, "Your
forgiveness is revoked
00:33:12.09\00:33:14.92
to the wicked servant."
00:33:14.92\00:33:16.29
And he says, "You are
now going to the tormentors
00:33:16.29\00:33:18.13
to pay your debt."

So, there is punishment for sin.

relationships with everybody,

but there was something unique
about marriage relationships.

when Adam and Eve get to Heaven,

assuming they're both saved,

them divorce papers?

I mean, people who are
married to their best friend,

what would prevent them from
being best friends in Heaven?

be pleasures in Heaven

outweigh any physical pleasure
