(both laughing) 00:02:09.26\00:02:11.59 - Yeah, I went on the website 00:02:11.59\00:02:12.73 and I noticed they said they don't do take home. 00:02:12.73\00:02:16.00 - You can't bring a doggie bag, yeah? - Yeah, I kind of set that up. 00:02:23.97\00:02:26.27 The Bible tells us that the best supper in the world 00:02:26.27\00:02:29.08 and the most expensive supper in the world. 00:02:29.08\00:02:31.68 Of course, it's expensive 'cause it costs the life 00:02:31.68\00:02:34.35 of God's son, but it's free for us 00:02:34.35\00:02:36.92 in that He's giving it as a gift. 00:02:36.92\00:02:39.19 So it's very expensive. 00:02:39.19\00:02:40.82 And it's called "The Marriage of the Lamb". 00:02:40.82\00:02:43.49 And you can read about that in Revelation 19:6. 00:02:43.49\00:02:46.26 This is the last book of the Bible. 00:02:46.26\00:02:47.50 Some of the last chapters. 00:02:47.50\00:02:49.60 "And I heard as it was a voice of a great multitude, 00:02:49.60\00:02:53.07 and the sound of many waters, 00:02:53.07\00:02:55.40 and the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, 00:02:55.40\00:02:58.04 Alleluia, for the Lord God omnipotent reigns. 00:02:58.04\00:03:01.98 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, 00:03:01.98\00:03:04.58 for the marriage supper of the Lamb has come, 00:03:04.58\00:03:07.02 and His wife has made herself ready. 00:03:07.02\00:03:09.75 And to her was granted to be a arrayed in fine linen, 00:03:09.75\00:03:12.79 clean and bright, for the fine linen 00:03:12.79\00:03:15.16 is the righteous acts of the saints. 00:03:15.16\00:03:17.79 And then He said to me, "write, 'blessed are those 00:03:17.79\00:03:21.03 who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb." 00:03:21.03\00:03:24.80 And He said, 'these are the true sayings of God." 00:03:24.80\00:03:27.64 This is a message directly from the angels 00:03:27.64\00:03:30.51 to the Apostle John, telling about this 00:03:30.51\00:03:32.94 dinner of all dinners 00:03:32.94\00:03:34.98 that we'll eat. 00:03:34.98\00:03:36.34 And Jesus even says, "And I will come and serve you." 00:03:36.34\00:03:38.55 - Amen. 00:03:38.55\00:03:39.65 - So it's almost incomprehensible. 00:03:39.65\00:03:41.15 - Yes, to think that at that moment, 00:03:41.15\00:03:43.52 we should be serving Him for all He's done for us. 00:03:43.52\00:03:46.35 And again, it shows the level of humility 00:03:46.35\00:03:48.79 - Yeah - of God. 00:03:48.79\00:03:49.89 - Even when He was on earth, 00:03:49.89\00:03:51.43 you could kind of understand the condescension of God 00:03:51.43\00:03:53.96 that He would say, 00:03:53.96\00:03:55.50 "I wanna be an example of how you serve each other." 00:03:55.50\00:03:57.37 But even now that He's in heaven, the idea that He said, 00:03:57.37\00:04:00.44 "I'm your brother and I wanna serve you." 00:04:00.44\00:04:03.81 And I'm guessing that somewhere on the table, 00:04:03.81\00:04:07.21 they're gonna have some of the tree of life, 00:04:07.21\00:04:09.41 maybe a fruit cocktail with 144,000 different 00:04:09.41\00:04:12.65 varieties. - Sampler. 00:04:12.65\00:04:13.48 (both chuckles) 00:04:13.48\00:04:15.08 - Yeah, so I wanna be at that dinner. 00:04:15.08\00:04:16.85 And by the way, friends, we have a free offer tonight 00:04:16.85\00:04:19.92 that you can ask for, that'll tell you 00:04:19.92\00:04:22.22 how you can get your ticket to that special restaurant. 00:04:22.22\00:04:25.56 - Yeah, so the free offer, if you go 1-800,-835-6747. 00:04:25.56\00:04:30.33 It's free offer number 156. 00:04:30.33\00:04:33.23 The High Cost of the Cross, right? So we have the first question here 00:05:47.88\00:05:50.38 is from Anthony in New York. 00:05:50.38\00:05:52.51 Anthony, good evening. 00:05:52.51\00:05:53.65 You're on the air. 00:05:53.65\00:05:54.52 - [Anthony] Good evening fathers, 00:05:54.52\00:05:55.48 How are you doing? 00:05:55.48\00:05:56.25 - Doing great. - Great. 00:05:56.25\00:05:57.62 - Now you're talking to two New Yorkers right now. 00:05:57.62\00:05:58.72 So we could probably understand each other 00:05:58.72\00:06:00.82 without a translator. 00:06:00.82\00:06:02.02 (all laughs) 00:06:02.02\00:06:04.53 - [Anthony] Awesome. 00:06:04.53\00:06:05.79 Yeah, my question tonight is, 00:06:05.79\00:06:08.26 why did Nineveh get a warning to repent or be destroyed, 00:06:10.00\00:06:15.07 but it appears that Sodom and Gomorrah didn't? 00:06:16.37\00:06:20.38 - Okay, good question. 00:06:20.38\00:06:22.11 And a lot of people don't realize Sodom and Gomorrah 00:06:22.11\00:06:24.98 did get a warning. 00:06:24.98\00:06:26.41 Pastor Carlos might look it up for me. 00:06:26.41\00:06:28.65 But when Lot and his family were carried off 00:06:28.65\00:06:31.95 by the King Chedorlaomer from the North, 00:06:31.95\00:06:35.22 there was a judgment that came on Sodom and Gomorrah. 00:06:35.22\00:06:37.56 Abraham went out and he saved them. 00:06:37.56\00:06:40.40 And so he saved them. 00:06:40.40\00:06:41.73 And this was to urge them to repent of their sins 00:06:41.73\00:06:44.53 'cause they had nearly been destroyed 00:06:44.53\00:06:46.10 but through Abraham's intercession in God's mercy, 00:06:46.10\00:06:48.74 they were given another chance. 00:06:48.74\00:06:50.87 When the judgment finally came, 00:06:50.87\00:06:54.38 is it Genesis? - 19. 00:06:54.38\00:06:56.64 - 19. Yeah. 00:06:56.64\00:06:58.01 Then well, that was because they'd run out of their... 00:06:58.01\00:07:01.38 You know, God said they'd pushed the envelope too far. 00:07:01.38\00:07:04.52 - Yep. 00:07:04.52\00:07:06.09 - So they were actually warned 00:07:06.09\00:07:08.09 and they were given kind of a chastisement warning them 00:07:08.09\00:07:11.96 to turn from their wicked ways and they didn't. 00:07:11.96\00:07:14.46 - And Nineveh was warned, they repented 00:07:14.46\00:07:16.26 but later on, they went back into their wicked ways. 00:07:16.26\00:07:18.67 - And judgment came. 00:07:18.67\00:07:19.73 I think it was a flood and fire and wars. 00:07:19.73\00:07:22.44 It just destroyed the city. 00:07:22.44\00:07:23.84 - Yep. 00:07:23.84\00:07:25.01 - Very good. 00:07:25.01\00:07:25.87 Does that help a little, Anthony? 00:07:25.87\00:07:27.54 - [Anthony] Yes, it does. 00:07:27.54\00:07:28.38 Thank you very much. 00:07:28.38\00:07:29.34 I appreciate that. 00:07:29.34\00:07:30.18 - Thank you. 00:07:30.18\00:07:31.01 - Alright. 00:07:31.01\00:07:31.85 Thank you, Anthony. 00:07:31.85\00:07:33.38 Next we have Jesus from Palm Bay, Florida. 00:07:33.38\00:07:37.02 Jesus, you're on the air. 00:07:37.02\00:07:38.39 - My guess is, it's Jesus, but you would know that. 00:07:38.39\00:07:40.59 (both laughs) 00:07:40.59\00:07:41.66 And are you there, Jesus? 00:07:41.66\00:07:43.83 - [Jesus] Yeah, yeah. 00:07:43.83\00:07:45.23 Hey pastors, It is Jesus, 00:07:45.23\00:07:47.40 but I usually get both. 00:07:49.13\00:07:51.10 So, my question today is, 00:07:52.53\00:07:54.60 when witnessing to other denominations, 00:07:56.27\00:07:59.57 how should we witness when it comes to doctrines 00:08:00.98\00:08:05.48 and differences between doctrines? 00:08:05.48\00:08:08.68 - Alright. That's a good question. 00:08:08.68\00:08:10.69 You know, first thing is if you're talking to people, 00:08:10.69\00:08:15.32 you know, from a differing denomination, 00:08:15.32\00:08:17.73 clearly everybody is part of the denomination 00:08:17.73\00:08:19.73 because they believe certain things 00:08:19.73\00:08:21.93 they're sensitive to their beliefs. 00:08:21.93\00:08:24.80 First thing you want to do is be winsome, 00:08:24.80\00:08:26.97 find common ground, 00:08:26.97\00:08:28.87 show them that you love and respect them, 00:08:28.87\00:08:30.51 even though you may disagree. 00:08:30.51\00:08:31.97 It's okay to disagree without being disagreeable. 00:08:31.97\00:08:35.71 And then you might put them in a position 00:08:35.71\00:08:39.75 where you're saying, look, help me understand. 00:08:39.75\00:08:42.32 Instead of saying, "What you believe about the Trinity 00:08:42.32\00:08:44.59 or what you believe about the ressur.. 00:08:44.59\00:08:46.39 It's all wrong. 00:08:46.39\00:08:47.79 Or what you believe about tongues, it's all wrong." 00:08:47.79\00:08:49.72 Instead of coming off as an attack, 00:08:49.72\00:08:51.43 you can come off and say, "Help me understand better 00:08:51.43\00:08:55.06 what it is you believe." 00:08:55.06\00:08:56.93 And then you kinda question them when they raise something, 00:08:56.93\00:09:00.17 then say, "Now where's the verse for that?" 00:09:00.17\00:09:02.27 And so you do it in more of a winsome, teaching way 00:09:02.27\00:09:06.84 as opposed to clubbing a person with your opinions. 00:09:06.84\00:09:10.95 - Yeah. And everything that you share 00:09:10.95\00:09:13.38 with people always have your Bible verse, your foundation 00:09:13.38\00:09:17.09 so that they see that it's not your opinion 00:09:17.09\00:09:18.79 that you're basing it off of scripture. 00:09:18.79\00:09:21.29 - Right. 00:09:21.29\00:09:22.92 Yeah, I did a debate with another pastor. 00:09:22.92\00:09:26.36 It was a friendly debate. 00:09:26.36\00:09:27.86 And then afterwards someone brought to my attention, 00:09:27.86\00:09:31.23 they said, "Doug, you said, "well, I believe", 00:09:31.23\00:09:34.47 and you should have said, "the Bible says." 00:09:34.47\00:09:37.31 And I looked at that and I thought, you know that's right. 00:09:37.31\00:09:39.34 I had all the scriptures, and instead I was saying, 00:09:39.34\00:09:41.14 well, you believe this and I believe this. 00:09:41.14\00:09:42.74 And I should have said, "well, the Bible says this," 00:09:42.74\00:09:44.48 'cause that's the final word in all of that. 00:09:44.48\00:09:47.42 And yeah, we appreciate your calling, Jesus. 00:09:47.42\00:09:50.09 By the way, I don't know if we ever gave out the number, 00:09:50.09\00:09:53.02 you know, some callers popped up and we just dove right in. 00:09:53.02\00:09:55.46 But if you would like to be part of tonight's program, 00:09:55.46\00:09:58.39 there are lines open and it's a free phone call. 00:09:58.39\00:10:01.90 Just call 800, God says. 00:10:01.90\00:10:03.70 That's 800-463-7297. 00:10:03.70\00:10:07.27 Not only are we on radio stations, 00:10:07.27\00:10:09.97 both satellite and land-based stations around the country, 00:10:09.97\00:10:12.71 but we are streaming this live. 00:10:12.71\00:10:14.54 If you wanna watch what's happening here in the studio, 00:10:14.54\00:10:16.68 we're on Amazing Facts Television, 00:10:16.68\00:10:18.28 we're on Facebook, 00:10:18.28\00:10:19.88 that's the Amazing Facts Facebook page. 00:10:19.88\00:10:21.72 We're on the Doug Bachelor Facebook page. 00:10:21.72\00:10:24.72 And maybe even YouTube, but a... 00:10:24.72\00:10:27.09 So you can watch, you can listen, and call in 00:10:27.09\00:10:28.82 with your questions. 00:10:28.82\00:10:30.19 - Yeah, Alright. 00:10:30.19\00:10:31.03 So lets select that. 00:10:31.03\00:10:32.33 We have a question here. 00:10:32.33\00:10:33.70 This is Jerry from Texas. 00:10:33.70\00:10:35.13 Jerry, you are live. 00:10:35.13\00:10:36.77 - [Jerry] Hey guys. 00:10:37.90\00:10:38.73 Good evening. 00:10:38.73\00:10:39.70 Thanks for taking my question. 00:10:39.70\00:10:41.00 I have two texts in Genesis, 00:10:41.00\00:10:43.30 and the first text is, Genesis 27 to 30. 00:10:44.47\00:10:48.31 And this is kind of a terrible time when Dinah went 00:10:48.31\00:10:52.85 into the land of the kingdom that they were staying. 00:10:52.85\00:10:57.12 And Shechem fell in love with Dinah 00:10:57.12\00:11:00.22 and he took advantage of her 00:11:00.22\00:11:02.46 and of course the brothers didn't like it. 00:11:04.19\00:11:06.66 And then, I don't know which one made a proposal that 00:11:06.66\00:11:10.97 we would be one people you'll give us your daugh- 00:11:10.97\00:11:13.87 - Sounds like it was either Simeon or Levi. 00:11:13.87\00:11:16.24 We're not sure. 00:11:16.24\00:11:18.04 - [Jerry] Yeah, Simeon and Levi were the ones 00:11:18.04\00:11:19.71 that killed them and so that was the very thing known. 00:11:19.71\00:11:24.78 Jacob said, "you make a stink of me and the people," 00:11:26.11\00:11:27.85 you know, and then Jacob moved on 00:11:27.85\00:11:30.59 and they took their women, their children and their- 00:11:30.59\00:11:34.99 - Cattle and all the possessions, yeah. 00:11:36.39\00:11:39.69 - [Jerry] Yeah, and where are those individuals 00:11:39.69\00:11:42.60 in Genesis 46:6, when Jacob goes down to Israel. 00:11:42.60\00:11:47.50 I see no mention of them, 00:11:47.50\00:11:49.30 of the 70 that went down to Egypt land. 00:11:49.30\00:11:53.68 - You know the 70 that are mentioned, 00:11:53.68\00:11:55.54 I know this may sound terrible, 00:11:55.54\00:11:57.01 but the 70 that are mentioned were all family members 00:11:57.01\00:12:00.32 that are descendants of Jacob. 00:12:00.32\00:12:01.72 That would be Jacob's sons, his wives, his grandchildren 00:12:01.72\00:12:06.22 He had some great grandchildren, probably 00:12:06.22\00:12:09.29 'cause the spread of years between 00:12:09.29\00:12:11.43 Ruben and Benjamin is significant. 00:12:11.43\00:12:14.73 So I think it doesn't count the slaves, that's unfortunate. 00:12:14.73\00:12:18.50 And when the children of Israel came out of Egypt, 00:12:18.50\00:12:20.57 it tells about them and then later it mentions 00:12:20.57\00:12:22.24 "and there came out a mixed multitude," 00:12:22.24\00:12:25.14 some of the other servants of the Egyptians escaped prison. 00:12:25.14\00:12:27.48 - [Jerry] Correct. 00:12:27.48\00:12:28.81 - So I'm pretty sure that there were more than 70 people 00:12:28.81\00:12:31.61 that came out of Egypt, I'm sorry, 00:12:31.61\00:12:33.82 came from Israel to Egypt. 00:12:33.82\00:12:35.15 But that's a great question. 00:12:35.15\00:12:36.69 It does just mention, I think the family members, 00:12:36.69\00:12:40.86 - [Jerry] Well, Pastor I'd like 00:12:40.86\00:12:42.02 to give you difficult questions. 00:12:42.02\00:12:43.43 Thanks Doug - Well, you did a good job. 00:12:43.43\00:12:45.09 (indistinct) 00:12:45.09\00:12:46.26 That makes sense. 00:12:46.26\00:12:47.20 (Jerry laughing) 00:12:47.20\00:12:48.66 What do you think, Carlos? - [Jerry] Okay, guys be safe. 00:12:48.66\00:12:49.66 - Alright. 00:12:49.66\00:12:50.50 Hey, thank you so much. 00:12:50.50\00:12:51.47 We appreciate your call, Jerry. 00:12:51.47\00:12:52.50 - Thank you, Jerry. 00:12:52.50\00:12:53.64 - Hey, thanks guys. 00:12:53.64\00:12:54.57 - Alright. 00:12:54.57\00:12:55.40 - Bye. 00:12:55.40\00:12:56.27 - Bye bye. 00:12:56.27\00:12:57.84 - Next we have Robert from College Place, Washington. 00:12:57.84\00:12:59.71 Robert, you are on the air. 00:12:59.71\00:13:01.44 - [Robert] Hi there. 00:13:01.44\00:13:02.74 I found someone who believes that when Jesus comes 00:13:02.74\00:13:07.65 that we will reign with Him on earth for 1000 years. 00:13:12.52\00:13:16.56 And was just wanting to know how.. I've used some verses, 00:13:16.56\00:13:21.60 but I just was wanting to know your take on that. 00:13:22.96\00:13:26.53 - Yes, very good. 00:13:27.47\00:13:30.24 So during the millennium, that's the thousand years, 00:13:30.24\00:13:33.51 the word millennium is a composite of thousand milli 00:13:33.51\00:13:38.58 ennium. That's a thousand years, same teaching. 00:13:39.65\00:13:41.05 During that time, there are good Christians that believe 00:13:41.05\00:13:44.29 that the living and reigning with Christ 00:13:44.29\00:13:46.82 and Pastor Carlos will... 00:13:46.82\00:13:48.52 Where were you in chapter... 00:13:48.52\00:13:49.66 Revelation 20 - Revelation 20 00:13:49.66\00:13:50.73 - Which verse though, does it talk about 00:13:50.73\00:13:51.83 we will live and reign with Christ 00:13:51.83\00:13:52.73 - Four. - for thousand years. 00:13:52.73\00:13:54.00 - Verse four, the end of 00:13:54.00\00:13:55.10 - Verse four - Verse four 00:13:55.10\00:13:55.90 - Thank you. 00:13:55.90\00:13:56.87 Yeah, so they believe that means 00:13:56.87\00:13:58.13 we living in reigning with Jesus on earth. 00:13:58.13\00:14:01.37 But the way they share that is, 00:14:01.37\00:14:03.30 that at the end of the rapture 00:14:03.30\00:14:05.94 and the end of the seven years of tribulation, 00:14:05.94\00:14:07.71 Jesus literally comes and the righteous are 00:14:07.71\00:14:11.21 reigning over the wicked for a thousand years. 00:14:11.21\00:14:13.68 Now, I have absolutely no desire to reign over the wicked. 00:14:13.68\00:14:18.15 Some believe that we are living and reigning with Christ 00:14:18.15\00:14:20.22 here on earth over the wicked. 00:14:20.22\00:14:22.16 Some believe that we're living 00:14:22.16\00:14:23.59 and reigning with Christ in heaven. 00:14:23.59\00:14:26.06 My belief, this Bible says (laughs) 00:14:26.06\00:14:29.93 that we are caught up when Jesus comes. 00:14:29.93\00:14:33.90 - mm-hmm. 00:14:33.90\00:14:34.94 - He says, I go to prepare a place for you. 00:14:34.94\00:14:36.24 And if I go to prepare a place, 00:14:36.24\00:14:37.61 I will take you to where I am that you may be also. 00:14:37.61\00:14:40.38 In my Father's house for many mansions, we go up. 00:14:40.38\00:14:43.21 And it's not until revelation 21, the next chapter, 00:14:43.21\00:14:46.65 the new Jerusalem comes down. 00:14:46.65\00:14:48.32 - comes down. 00:14:48.32\00:14:49.55 - So we are living and reigning, you know, Christ said, 00:14:49.55\00:14:52.59 we're reigning in the new Jerusalem with Him 00:14:52.59\00:14:55.66 during that time testifying of what He did to redeem us. 00:14:55.66\00:14:58.66 We're gonna be part of the reigning working 00:14:58.66\00:15:01.13 at the records and the books 00:15:01.13\00:15:03.23 of what's happened here on earth. 00:15:03.23\00:15:06.47 So the idea that we're here on earth 00:15:06.47\00:15:08.64 reigning over the wicked, 00:15:08.64\00:15:10.01 where we have immortal bodies, they've got temporal bodies 00:15:10.01\00:15:12.91 where they die every 70 years or 80 years. 00:15:12.91\00:15:15.68 It's just a really strange arrangement. 00:15:15.68\00:15:18.48 - Yeah, and also says in Revelation chapter 00:15:18.48\00:15:21.05 at the end of six. 00:15:21.05\00:15:22.72 Revelation six, it says that the wrath of the Lord has come. 00:15:22.72\00:15:25.22 We know that the wrath of the Lord is a 00:15:25.22\00:15:26.92 seven plagues of Revelation that are going to undo 00:15:26.92\00:15:28.82 the six days of creation. 00:15:28.82\00:15:30.39 And so it would be impossible to live on this earth. 00:15:30.39\00:15:32.96 After that time period. 00:15:32.96\00:15:34.40 There would be nothing to sustain human life. 00:15:34.40\00:15:36.53 - Yeah, if you read in Jeremiah chapter 4:23 00:15:36.53\00:15:39.83 listen to this, "I beheld the earth 00:15:39.83\00:15:41.90 and indeed it was without form and void, 00:15:41.90\00:15:44.21 and the heavens and they had no light." 00:15:44.21\00:15:45.61 Well, that sounds like before creation. 00:15:45.61\00:15:47.34 - Mm-hmm. 00:15:47.34\00:15:48.44 - But keep reading, "I beheld the mountains 00:15:48.44\00:15:49.88 and indeed they trembled and all the hills 00:15:49.88\00:15:52.01 moved back and forth. 00:15:52.01\00:15:53.52 I beheld and indeed there was no man. 00:15:53.52\00:15:56.02 And all the birds of the heaven were fled. 00:15:56.02\00:15:58.89 And I beheld in the fruitful place was a wilderness, 00:15:58.89\00:16:01.36 and listen, 'and all its cities were broken down." 00:16:01.36\00:16:04.53 Well, what caused this? 00:16:04.53\00:16:05.83 Fruitful place of wilderness, everything's broken down 00:16:05.83\00:16:08.06 by the presence of the Lord and by His fierce anger. 00:16:08.06\00:16:11.97 Now, why don't you read your verse 00:16:11.97\00:16:13.34 and then I'll comment on that. 00:16:13.34\00:16:14.67 - Isaiah 24 says, "Behold, the Lord makes the earth empty 00:16:14.67\00:16:17.04 and makes it waste." 00:16:17.04\00:16:18.47 So if He empties it it's because it was 00:16:18.47\00:16:20.11 - Yeah. filled. 00:16:20.11\00:16:21.64 And then it jumps to verse number four and says, 00:16:21.64\00:16:23.68 verse three, "The land shall be entirely emptied 00:16:23.68\00:16:26.31 and utterly plundered. 00:16:26.31\00:16:27.48 The Lord has spoken. 00:16:27.48\00:16:28.28 The earth mourns and fades." 00:16:28.28\00:16:29.62 When you read further down verse five, 00:16:29.62\00:16:31.25 "The earth is defiled under its inhabitants 00:16:31.25\00:16:33.09 because they have transgressed the laws, 00:16:33.09\00:16:35.09 broken the everlasting covenant, 00:16:35.09\00:16:36.22 and the curse has devoured the earth 00:16:36.22\00:16:38.79 and the inhabitants of the earth are burned." 00:16:38.79\00:16:41.10 And then the last part of verse six says, 00:16:41.10\00:16:42.60 "And a few men are left." 00:16:42.60\00:16:44.13 That word in Hebrew (indistinct) 00:16:44.13\00:16:45.10 is like in Genesis. 00:16:45.10\00:16:47.14 The remnant, right? 00:16:47.14\00:16:48.57 Those that are protected are sealed. 00:16:48.57\00:16:50.54 - Yep - In the same time. 00:16:50.54\00:16:51.84 - And then there's another verse where it says, 00:16:51.84\00:16:53.27 "The land is covered with the dead 00:16:53.27\00:16:55.64 and there's no one to mourn, lament or bury them. 00:16:55.64\00:16:57.68 - Malachi. 00:16:57.68\00:16:58.51 - Yeah. Is that it? 00:16:58.51\00:16:59.35 - Malachi chapter- 00:16:59.35\00:17:00.82 - So you have this several prophecies that talk about 00:17:00.82\00:17:02.25 a time when the earth is vacated 00:17:02.25\00:17:05.02 and it's covered with the slain and it's burnt. 00:17:05.02\00:17:08.99 Well, that's after the Lord comes, 00:17:08.99\00:17:10.56 we're caught up, we're living and reigning with Christ. 00:17:10.56\00:17:13.03 Paul says the wicked are destroyed 00:17:13.03\00:17:14.50 by the brightness of His coming. 00:17:14.50\00:17:16.20 And the earth is an abussos. 00:17:16.20\00:17:20.14 That word means a bottomless pit for 1000 years. 00:17:20.14\00:17:23.77 It's a dark void and we're living 00:17:23.77\00:17:26.11 and reigning with Christ in glory. 00:17:26.11\00:17:27.48 At the end of that time, we come down 00:17:27.48\00:17:29.01 and He makes a new heaven, new earth. 00:17:29.01\00:17:30.91 You know, we have a study guide that talks about 00:17:30.91\00:17:33.45 a thousand years of peace. 00:17:33.45\00:17:34.55 And maybe you could give the number again. 00:17:34.55\00:17:35.68 We'll be happy to send you, Jerry or Robert, 00:17:35.68\00:17:39.25 a free copy of that, 00:17:39.25\00:17:41.86 if you just call this number or anyone who asks. 00:17:41.86\00:17:44.26 - Yeah, 1-808-835-6747. 00:17:44.26\00:17:47.00 1-808-835-6747, It's there on the screen. 00:17:47.00\00:17:51.50 And you can ask for thousand years of peace. 00:17:51.50\00:17:53.70 I think it's called. 00:17:53.70\00:17:54.80 - Yep, talks about the millennium. 00:17:54.80\00:17:56.07 - Alright. 00:17:56.07\00:17:56.87 Thank you very much, Robert. 00:17:56.87\00:17:59.31 Next we have Jim from Indiana. 00:17:59.31\00:18:02.18 Jim, hello. 00:18:02.18\00:18:03.08 You're on the air. 00:18:03.08\00:18:04.48 - [Jim] My question is in Revelation 00:18:04.48\00:18:08.78 when the angel with the seven vials. 00:18:08.78\00:18:11.85 Now, is that also the seven plagues? 00:18:11.85\00:18:16.79 - Yes. 00:18:16.79\00:18:17.86 It tells - [Jim] that are coming out 00:18:17.86\00:18:19.16 And... 00:18:19.16\00:18:20.06 - Yes. 00:18:21.50\00:18:22.33 - [Jim] Go ahead. 00:18:22.33\00:18:23.43 - Well, I was just gonna say those seven vials 00:18:23.43\00:18:27.40 are poured out, each one has a plague, so to speak. 00:18:27.40\00:18:30.74 So it's like the wrath of God is being poured out. 00:18:30.74\00:18:34.14 - [Jim] Okay. 00:18:34.14\00:18:35.68 Now, when did those start? 00:18:35.68\00:18:37.25 Whenever they enact the Sunday law? 00:18:37.25\00:18:40.88 - Well, the seven last plagues 00:18:40.88\00:18:43.82 come when probation closes. 00:18:43.82\00:18:46.09 And that's gonna be during a time when... 00:18:46.09\00:18:50.29 it tells us that, those that are saved are saved 00:18:50.29\00:18:54.23 in Revelation 22, those that are lost or lost. 00:18:54.23\00:18:56.53 The clean are clean, the unclean are unclean. 00:18:56.53\00:18:58.93 And when everyone's made their decision one way or the other 00:18:58.93\00:19:01.14 regarding the beast in his image, then God is gonna say, 00:19:01.14\00:19:04.04 okay, no sense for mercy to linger any longer, 00:19:04.04\00:19:06.74 everyone has decided what they're gonna do. 00:19:06.74\00:19:10.05 And at that point, the seven last plagues are poured out. 00:19:10.05\00:19:13.31 So when they reject the law of God, 00:19:13.31\00:19:16.28 and they put the laws of the beast in its place, 00:19:18.12\00:19:20.66 then the plagues come. 00:19:20.66\00:19:21.99 - Yeah, that's exactly what we read in Isaiah 24. 00:19:21.99\00:19:23.89 It says, humans have made their decision 00:19:23.89\00:19:27.00 to completely reject the covenant and the law of God. 00:19:27.00\00:19:28.96 - mm-hmm. 00:19:28.96\00:19:30.03 - And so God says, I have nothing else to do. 00:19:30.03\00:19:32.23 They won't listen to Me. 00:19:32.23\00:19:33.34 I've given them ample opportunity. 00:19:33.34\00:19:35.07 And so now comes judgment on this world 00:19:35.07\00:19:37.17 of sin. - Yeah. 00:19:37.17\00:19:38.57 But yeah, the righteous are protected during that time. 00:19:38.57\00:19:40.64 So when people hear about the seven last plagues, 00:19:40.64\00:19:43.38 believers are often terrified, 00:19:43.38\00:19:44.98 'cause they're very graphic. 00:19:44.98\00:19:46.61 They're very much like the seven plagues that came on Egypt, 00:19:46.61\00:19:49.65 and yet God preserved His people all through those plagues. 00:19:49.65\00:19:53.32 - Amen. 00:19:53.32\00:19:54.36 - So I don't ever worry about the plagues. 00:19:54.36\00:19:56.02 - Yeah. 00:19:56.02\00:19:57.36 - I'm more concerned with Doug being faithful day by day. 00:19:57.36\00:19:59.33 And if I'm faithful day by day, 00:19:59.33\00:20:01.33 I know God will get me through that time. 00:20:01.33\00:20:03.23 - Amen, Amen. 00:20:03.23\00:20:04.30 - What it it say? 00:20:04.30\00:20:05.13 Psalm 91, 00:20:05.13\00:20:06.27 "Neither will any plague come near thy dwelling. 00:20:06.27\00:20:08.54 - A thousand shall fall out your left 00:20:08.54\00:20:10.17 to 10,000 at your right hand, 00:20:10.17\00:20:11.31 but none shall touch you 00:20:11.31\00:20:12.67 for the angels of the Lord shall be with you. 00:20:12.67\00:20:14.08 - That's right. 00:20:14.08\00:20:14.91 - Amen. 00:20:14.91\00:20:16.28 Alright. 00:20:16.28\00:20:17.65 In our next question here we have David, from New York. 00:20:17.65\00:20:21.62 David, good evening. 00:20:21.62\00:20:22.45 You're on the air. 00:20:22.45\00:20:23.85 - [David] Yeah, my question is what does the Bible say about 00:20:23.85\00:20:25.95 two first cousins getting married? 00:20:25.95\00:20:29.49 - Alright. 00:20:29.49\00:20:30.69 Well I think according to the Bible, 00:20:30.69\00:20:33.23 it was legal in the days of Abraham 00:20:33.23\00:20:36.16 because you have, what is it? 00:20:37.13\00:20:40.84 Jacob married his first cousin when he married Rebecca 00:20:40.84\00:20:45.81 and Isaac married his cousin. 00:20:46.71\00:20:49.81 I said, Isaac, where I should say Rebecca. 00:20:49.81\00:20:51.28 Jacob first cousin with Rachel and Leah. 00:20:51.28\00:20:54.08 - mm-hmm. 00:20:54.08\00:20:55.35 And in the beginning, when you think about it, 00:20:55.35\00:20:57.49 God made Adam and Eve, they were technically 00:20:57.49\00:20:59.15 brother and sister, same parents. 00:20:59.15\00:21:00.39 And then when Cain took his wife, 00:21:00.39\00:21:03.89 obviously he took one of his sisters 00:21:03.89\00:21:05.46 so there was nothing wrong with that. 00:21:05.46\00:21:06.96 Abraham married his half sister. 00:21:06.96\00:21:09.66 Back when humans blood and genes were so vital 00:21:11.80\00:21:15.74 there were no risks then of, you know, 00:21:15.74\00:21:18.41 having mutations that would cause weaknesses and problems. 00:21:18.41\00:21:20.54 But as time went by, Moses said, you're not to look upon 00:21:20.54\00:21:24.35 the nakedness of your sister. 00:21:24.35\00:21:26.08 And he's insinuating that, you know, you're supposed to 00:21:26.08\00:21:29.95 marry out of, away from the family tree as far as possible. 00:21:29.95\00:21:32.92 But within the tribe or within the people 00:21:32.92\00:21:35.22 they weren't to marry foreigners. 00:21:35.22\00:21:37.03 - Yeah, and still today some people marry 00:21:37.03\00:21:38.56 their first cousins. 00:21:38.56\00:21:39.59 - Yeah, and it depends, a matter of fact, 00:21:39.59\00:21:42.30 those laws vary from state to state. 00:21:42.30\00:21:45.47 - But there are risks because I've done 00:21:45.47\00:21:48.27 evangelistic programs on some small islands 00:21:48.27\00:21:50.71 in the south Pacific, 00:21:50.71\00:21:52.81 where there's not a big gene pool, 00:21:52.81\00:21:55.04 and they have a lot of birth defects 00:21:55.04\00:21:57.31 because they're all kind of marrying 00:21:57.31\00:21:58.85 - mm-hmm 00:21:58.85\00:21:59.71 - Relatives. 00:21:59.71\00:22:00.92 And I've seen several times where their kids 00:22:00.92\00:22:02.78 or people had six fingers, on our six toes, 00:22:02.78\00:22:06.29 and that's one of the signs of, you know, 00:22:06.29\00:22:10.23 - Close proximity. 00:22:10.23\00:22:11.16 - Yeah, exactly. 00:22:11.16\00:22:12.53 So it's probably healthier to look outside of the family. 00:22:12.53\00:22:16.73 Alright. 00:22:16.73\00:22:17.57 Thanks so much. 00:22:17.57\00:22:18.40 Appreciate that David. 00:22:18.40\00:22:19.20 I hope it helps a little bit. 00:22:19.20\00:22:20.87 - Alright, let's go to the next one. 00:22:20.87\00:22:22.34 We have Chantel from the beautiful islands of The 00:22:22.34\00:22:26.41 Bahamas. Hello, Chantel. 00:22:26.41\00:22:27.41 Welcome, you're on the air. 00:22:27.41\00:22:29.41 - [Chantel] I have a simple question. 00:22:29.41\00:22:31.11 I have a three year old niece, 00:22:31.11\00:22:33.55 who is reading, and she asked me a question yesterday. 00:22:33.55\00:22:36.25 She wanted to know how God made rain. 00:22:36.25\00:22:40.12 And I was stumped to give an answer 00:22:40.12\00:22:42.82 that was suited for someone her age. 00:22:42.82\00:22:46.06 So I said, I will ask pastor Doug 00:22:46.06\00:22:48.46 and Bible Answers Live, 00:22:48.46\00:22:50.37 how they would've answered that question 00:22:50.37\00:22:52.60 for a three year old. 00:22:52.60\00:22:54.10 - Well, that's a good question. 00:22:54.10\00:22:55.74 I'm not sure exactly what happened with the geology 00:22:55.74\00:22:58.81 of the earth or the meteorology of the weather, 00:22:58.81\00:23:02.71 but the Bible does say that before the flood, 00:23:03.85\00:23:06.85 that it never rained on the earth. 00:23:06.85\00:23:08.52 But God did make a mist, 00:23:08.52\00:23:11.02 and there's several places in the tropics 00:23:11.02\00:23:12.65 you still see that. 00:23:12.65\00:23:13.76 - mm-hmm. - You know, it's very humid. 00:23:13.76\00:23:15.19 You'll see a mist come up from the ground 00:23:15.19\00:23:17.66 and it watered the earth. 00:23:17.66\00:23:19.43 But this envelope of water that God had, 00:23:19.43\00:23:23.57 cause it says he made the, an atmosphere of heavens 00:23:23.57\00:23:25.97 between the waters above and the waters below. 00:23:25.97\00:23:28.20 There's some envelope of water 00:23:28.20\00:23:29.97 and that's actually very scientific 00:23:29.97\00:23:31.57 because if you've got water that is polarizing 00:23:31.57\00:23:34.48 the light and the heat, 00:23:34.48\00:23:35.84 the whole planet would've been a similar temperature. 00:23:35.84\00:23:38.75 And they find in Siberia and Antarctica, they find, 00:23:38.75\00:23:42.55 you know, fossils of ferns and these tropical animals 00:23:42.55\00:23:46.72 and they think that the whole earth must have shifted 00:23:46.72\00:23:48.99 on a taxes or something. 00:23:48.99\00:23:50.59 But I think the whole world was a beautiful habitable place. 00:23:50.59\00:23:53.60 And what God did during the time of Noah 00:23:53.60\00:23:57.00 to actually trigger the flood, I'm not sure, 00:23:57.00\00:24:00.10 but he poked a hole in that envelope and it 00:24:00.10\00:24:02.07 just all- - And it popped. 00:24:02.07\00:24:03.47 - Yeah, it all came down, but water also came up from below. 00:24:03.47\00:24:07.44 It says the fountains of the deep were open. 00:24:07.44\00:24:08.98 So water shooting up and then from then on, 00:24:08.98\00:24:12.25 there's so much moisture in the atmosphere, 00:24:12.25\00:24:13.88 it began to rain. 00:24:13.88\00:24:14.72 - Yeah. 00:24:14.72\00:24:15.85 And so that would be Genesis chapter 2:6 00:24:15.85\00:24:17.69 Chantel, And next time you go to the supermarket, 00:24:17.69\00:24:20.76 I don't know if over there in The Bahamas, 00:24:20.76\00:24:22.26 but when I go to the supermarket, you know how 00:24:22.26\00:24:23.89 sometimes they have the little waters 00:24:23.89\00:24:25.03 (indistinct) 00:24:25.03\00:24:27.73 - So you can show him that and say, 00:24:27.73\00:24:29.06 this is how God used to water the nature before the flood. 00:24:29.06\00:24:33.70 - [Chantel] Great, Alright. 00:24:33.70\00:24:35.87 - Does that help? 00:24:35.87\00:24:36.77 - [Chantel] That helps. 00:24:36.77\00:24:37.94 - Alright, thanks 00:24:37.94\00:24:38.77 - Take care, Chantel. 00:24:38.77\00:24:39.64 You have a good evening. 00:24:39.64\00:24:40.91 - Thank you, thank you. 00:24:40.91\00:24:41.81 - [Chantel] You too. 00:24:41.81\00:24:42.91 - Alright, next we have Travis from 00:24:42.91\00:24:44.01 Lexington, South Carolina. 00:24:44.01\00:24:46.11 Travis, you're on the air. 00:24:46.11\00:24:48.35 - [Travis] Thank you gentlemen, good evening. 00:24:49.42\00:24:50.25 - Evening. - Hello 00:24:50.25\00:24:51.99 - [Travis] My question is, 00:24:51.99\00:24:53.96 it's a two part question. 00:24:53.96\00:24:55.52 Is it possible to achieve a sinless state here on earth? 00:24:55.52\00:24:59.89 And if it is not possible, 00:24:59.89\00:25:02.13 what are the implications of believing that it is possible? 00:25:02.13\00:25:05.73 - Alright, great question. 00:25:05.73\00:25:06.84 Now I need to let you know in advance, 00:25:06.84\00:25:08.30 we've cut about a minute so I'll do my best. 00:25:08.30\00:25:10.04 Let me ask you a question. 00:25:10.04\00:25:12.71 Do you believe the devil can tempt us to sin? 00:25:12.71\00:25:16.78 - [Travis] 100% 00:25:16.78\00:25:17.88 - Okay. 00:25:17.88\00:25:18.98 Do you believe Jesus can keep us from sin? 00:25:18.98\00:25:22.98 - [Travis] I believe He can, yes. 00:25:22.98\00:25:24.12 - But your answer is slower (laughs) 00:25:24.12\00:25:28.26 So as much as we believe the devil can tempt us to sin, 00:25:28.26\00:25:32.39 we need to have faith that with God, 00:25:32.39\00:25:34.86 all things are possible. 00:25:34.86\00:25:36.67 And that through Jesus, He can keep us from sin. 00:25:36.67\00:25:39.63 So the fact is, if you ask the average church to be honest 00:25:39.63\00:25:42.67 and raise their hands, how many feel sinless? 00:25:42.67\00:25:44.64 Nobody one's gonna raise their hand 00:25:44.64\00:25:45.94 'cause we all fall. 00:25:45.94\00:25:47.04 We sin and fall short of the glory of God, 00:25:47.04\00:25:49.24 but we have a perfect example 00:25:49.24\00:25:50.65 and there's no excuse for any sin. 00:25:50.65\00:25:52.61 And the Lord can give us victory over any temptation. 00:25:52.61\00:25:55.65 You can't name a sin now unless it's the unpardonable sin, 00:25:55.65\00:25:59.19 but I know people who've overcome it. 00:25:59.19\00:26:01.72 Whether it's drugs or drinking or cursing 00:26:01.72\00:26:03.09 or whatever it might be. 00:26:03.09\00:26:04.93 God can give victory in every area. 00:26:04.93\00:26:07.03 And we need to believe that. 00:26:07.03\00:26:08.90 Now we're gonna run out of time, Travis, 00:26:08.90\00:26:10.97 and I'd hate to do that to you. 00:26:10.97\00:26:12.27 But we have a book called "Is it possible 00:26:12.27\00:26:14.77 to live without sinning." 00:26:14.77\00:26:16.14 And give him the number and we'll go to our break. 00:26:16.14\00:26:18.14 - Yeah, so Travis, you can call 1-800-835-6747, 00:26:18.14\00:26:22.08 and ask for that book, 00:26:22.08\00:26:23.91 "Is it possible to live without Sinning." 00:26:23.91\00:26:26.08 - And don't let the title scare you. 00:26:26.08\00:26:27.88 It is really a good book. 00:26:27.88\00:26:29.02 - Oh, it's great. 00:26:29.02\00:26:30.09 - I actually read it once when I was flying, 00:26:30.09\00:26:31.42 I put the plane on autopilot and I was really touched by it. 00:26:31.42\00:26:34.59 Don't go away friends we're just gonna take 00:26:34.59\00:26:36.52 a little break here. 00:26:36.52\00:26:37.99 Get a drink of water. 00:26:37.99\00:26:39.13 Tell your friends to tune in. 00:26:39.13\00:26:40.16 We'll be right back. 00:26:40.16\00:26:41.86 - [Narrator] Stay tuned. 00:26:44.60\00:26:45.70 Bible Answers Live will return shortly. 00:26:45.70\00:26:48.77 - [Reporter] What if you could know the future, 00:26:51.74\00:26:54.78 what would you do? 00:30:15.64\00:30:18.31 What does it mean to call Him the Word. 00:30:18.31\00:30:20.08 - In the gospel of John, it says, 00:30:20.08\00:30:21.65 the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. 00:30:21.65\00:30:25.15 Abstract thought is communicated by intelligent creatures 00:30:26.42\00:30:30.76 through these sounds that we're making, 00:30:30.76\00:30:32.83 that give us understanding of truth. 00:30:32.83\00:30:35.90 And it's amazing. 00:30:35.90\00:30:37.40 Now you can close your eyes and you hear words 00:30:37.40\00:30:39.03 and you can have pictures in your mind. 00:30:39.03\00:30:40.77 God conveys truth through words. 00:30:40.77\00:30:44.04 And the message of God to man 00:30:44.04\00:30:48.01 was communicated through the life of Jesus. 00:30:48.01\00:30:51.85 It's interesting, we have no idea what Jesus looks like 00:30:51.85\00:30:54.25 in spite of the typical artist's conceptions 00:30:54.25\00:30:56.95 of what He looks like. 00:30:56.95\00:30:58.25 What changed the world was what Jesus said. 00:30:58.25\00:31:01.82 And Christ even said, you know, the things I'm teaching, 00:31:01.82\00:31:04.89 this is gonna go into all the world. 00:31:04.89\00:31:07.40 And He said, you'll even be hated of all nations 00:31:07.40\00:31:09.23 for My name sake. 00:31:09.23\00:31:10.57 And He knew that that message would be a message 00:31:10.57\00:31:12.40 that would go global. 00:31:12.40\00:31:13.34 And it did. 00:31:13.34\00:31:14.47 So the message of God was in flesh. 00:31:14.47\00:31:18.41 Lived out in the life of Christ. 00:31:18.41\00:31:20.84 Christ said, if you want to know what God's like, 00:31:20.84\00:31:22.64 look at Me. 00:31:22.64\00:31:24.25 In the things He taught, in the life He lived, 00:31:24.25\00:31:26.01 He was the message of God. 00:31:26.01\00:31:28.12 - Yeah, you know, in Spanish it's interesting, 00:31:28.12\00:31:30.12 it doesn't use the word, "word." 00:31:30.12\00:31:32.02 It uses the word, "verb." 00:31:32.02\00:31:33.42 - Oh really? 00:31:33.42\00:31:34.26 - Jesus is the verb. 00:31:34.26\00:31:35.12 So a verb is like, 00:31:35.12\00:31:36.26 - It's more active. 00:31:36.26\00:31:37.39 - Yeah. 00:31:37.39\00:31:38.19 It's the center of a sentence. 00:31:38.19\00:31:38.99 There's no action without it, 00:31:38.99\00:31:40.30 so it's the manifestation. 00:31:40.30\00:31:42.06 - That's good, yeah. 00:31:42.06\00:31:43.23 So yeah, and then even in... 00:31:43.23\00:31:46.03 Where is it in Revelation 19? 00:31:46.03\00:31:47.37 Where Jesus comes riding on a white horse 00:31:47.37\00:31:48.90 and on His thigh it says, the Word of God. 00:31:48.90\00:31:52.94 And so that's a consistent title for Christ 00:31:52.94\00:31:55.84 through the Bible. 00:31:55.84\00:31:56.81 Does that help at all, Brian? 00:31:56.81\00:31:58.35 - [Brian] Yeah, it does. 00:31:58.35\00:31:59.58 So when we call the Bible, the Word of God. 00:31:59.58\00:32:03.08 - mm-hmm. 00:32:03.99\00:32:05.12 - Is it the same thing or is that different? 00:32:05.12\00:32:07.16 - Well, the message of God is contained in the Bible. 00:32:07.16\00:32:09.49 And keep in mind when Jesus lived. 00:32:09.49\00:32:11.79 And He told us about the Word and reading the Word. 00:32:11.79\00:32:13.70 There was no New Testament, 00:32:13.70\00:32:15.76 'cause that's later written about His life. 00:32:15.76\00:32:18.63 So the Old Testament and the New Testament 00:32:18.63\00:32:21.34 are certainly the Word of God. 00:32:21.34\00:32:23.67 And every time Jesus was tempted by the devil, 00:32:23.67\00:32:26.14 He quoted from the Bible, 00:32:26.14\00:32:27.54 "It is written." 00:32:27.54\00:32:28.64 And that's where our strength is. 00:32:28.64\00:32:30.25 It's in the Word. 00:32:30.25\00:32:31.08 - [Brian] Okay, Alright. 00:32:31.08\00:32:31.91 Well thank you. 00:32:31.91\00:32:32.75 - Alright. 00:32:32.75\00:32:33.58 - Hey, thank you. 00:32:33.58\00:32:34.42 Thanks so much. 00:32:34.42\00:32:35.25 We have a free book, 00:32:35.25\00:32:36.32 we'll be happy to share with you, Brian. 00:32:36.32\00:32:37.45 And it's a book that I wrote about the Bible 00:32:37.45\00:32:38.55 and it's called, "the ultimate resource." 00:32:38.55\00:32:41.12 And if you'd like a free copy of that, then Carlos 00:32:41.12\00:32:44.79 give the number - 1-800 00:32:44.79\00:32:45.63 - 835-6747. 00:32:45.63\00:32:47.10 1-800-835-6747. 00:32:47.10\00:32:50.03 You can call and ask for that book. 00:32:50.03\00:32:52.33 - Alright. 00:32:52.33\00:32:53.54 - Alright, next we have a question Eduardo 00:32:53.54\00:32:55.44 from New Jersey. 00:32:55.44\00:32:57.27 Good evening, Eduardo. 00:32:57.27\00:32:59.37 - [Eduardo] Good evening, pastor Carlos. 00:32:59.37\00:33:00.51 Good evening pastor Doug. 00:33:00.51\00:33:02.41 - Yeah. 00:33:02.41\00:33:03.55 - [Eduardo] So I had a question on Romans 9, 00:33:03.55\00:33:05.38 the whole chapter, but just this one verse 00:33:05.38\00:33:08.28 where it talks about Jacob God Loved, Esau have I hated 00:33:08.28\00:33:11.62 - Mm-hmm. 00:33:11.62\00:33:12.69 - [Eduardo] Who are these vessels of wrath, 00:33:12.69\00:33:14.26 fitted to destruction. 00:33:14.26\00:33:15.36 When it says Romans 9:22, what if God, 00:33:15.36\00:33:17.76 to shew His wrath, make His power known, 00:33:17.76\00:33:19.86 endured with the much long suffering 00:33:19.86\00:33:21.26 the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction. 00:33:21.26\00:33:23.80 - First what is a vessel? 00:33:23.80\00:33:24.87 He tells us earlier that, you know, 00:33:24.87\00:33:25.97 God is the Potter, we are the clay. 00:33:25.97\00:33:27.70 God can make different kinds of vessels. 00:33:27.70\00:33:30.14 And so vessels are talking about people. 00:33:30.14\00:33:32.97 He wants to fill our vessel with His Spirit. 00:33:32.97\00:33:36.28 And He wants us to be vessels, containers 00:33:36.28\00:33:39.41 that are for His use to communicate His truth 00:33:39.41\00:33:44.05 and to pour ourselves out for good in the world. 00:33:44.05\00:33:46.49 So we're the vessels. 00:33:46.49\00:33:47.99 When He says vessels of wrath, 00:33:47.99\00:33:49.89 He's talking about vessels that can't be used. 00:33:49.89\00:33:52.19 Now there's in the law of Moses in Leviticus. 00:33:52.19\00:33:55.46 They had a law that said that, you know, 00:33:55.46\00:33:58.23 you could clean a vessel, but if certain vessels 00:33:58.23\00:34:00.27 were exposed to anything that was unclean, 00:34:00.27\00:34:02.70 if you opened up a basket and it had mice in it, 00:34:02.70\00:34:05.11 they said burn it. 00:34:05.11\00:34:06.01 Don't use it. 00:34:06.01\00:34:06.84 Don't try and wash it. 00:34:06.84\00:34:08.18 Some vessels were to be destroyed 00:34:08.18\00:34:09.51 because they were unclean. 00:34:09.51\00:34:11.18 And if we refuse to allow the Lord to clean us, 00:34:11.18\00:34:16.25 we become vessels that are fit for destruction. 00:34:17.35\00:34:19.25 But I actually wanna take you back a little bit 00:34:19.25\00:34:21.99 because there's a very common mistake that people make 00:34:21.99\00:34:25.13 when they read here in Romans, 00:34:25.13\00:34:27.40 where Paul says, you know, Jacob I've loved 00:34:27.40\00:34:29.46 and Esau I've hated. 00:34:29.46\00:34:31.23 He's actually quoting from Malachi, 00:34:31.23\00:34:33.94 where it says Jacob, Jacob was a term meaning Israel, 00:34:33.94\00:34:38.77 the people. 00:34:38.77\00:34:39.57 Esau meant Edom or the Edomites. 00:34:39.57\00:34:42.01 And the reason God said, I have loved Jacob, 00:34:42.01\00:34:44.28 and I've hated Esau is because Jacob, 00:34:44.28\00:34:47.32 he wanted the blessing and his people 00:34:47.32\00:34:49.92 they were doing more to pursue God. 00:34:49.92\00:34:51.59 The Edomites turned from God and turned to paganism. 00:34:51.59\00:34:55.06 It wasn't that before they were born God like Jacob 00:34:55.06\00:34:57.86 and hated Esau. 00:34:57.86\00:34:59.46 God liked that Jacob was pursuing the Spirit 00:34:59.46\00:35:03.16 and Esau was pursuing the flesh, and God hated that. 00:35:03.16\00:35:06.07 That is still true today. 00:35:06.07\00:35:07.17 God wants us to, says in Romans 8, 00:35:07.17\00:35:09.84 if you live under the flesh, you will die. 00:35:09.84\00:35:12.04 But if you live for the Spirit, you will live. 00:35:12.04\00:35:14.58 So Romans 9, is expanding on that. 00:35:14.58\00:35:16.31 - Yes. 00:35:16.31\00:35:17.35 - And that verse Malachi chapter 1:2 and 3 00:35:17.35\00:35:19.55 - Yep. 00:35:19.55\00:35:20.62 - For Eduardo. 00:35:20.62\00:35:21.82 Did that help Eduardo? 00:35:21.82\00:35:23.45 - [Eduardo] Yeah, so much. 00:35:23.45\00:35:24.55 And also had just one more verse. 00:35:24.55\00:35:26.19 What is like proverb 16, for where it says, 00:35:26.19\00:35:29.29 the Lord had made all things for Himself. 00:35:29.29\00:35:31.43 Yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. 00:35:31.43\00:35:34.76 - Yeah, well God did not just say, you know, 00:35:34.76\00:35:36.90 I think I'm gonna create some wicked people 00:35:36.90\00:35:38.90 so that I can burn 'em for entertainment. 00:35:38.90\00:35:41.47 it's basically saying that I've even created people 00:35:41.47\00:35:44.31 who would choose wickedness because I create everybody free. 00:35:44.31\00:35:48.08 And so God made people with a free will, 00:35:48.08\00:35:50.71 even Lucifer, God made a beautiful angel. 00:35:50.71\00:35:52.58 He chose to become a devil. 00:35:52.58\00:35:54.58 And so God is saying, look, I make everything. 00:35:54.58\00:35:56.92 He's the ultimate Creator. 00:35:56.92\00:35:58.45 And even makes creatures that will choose not to love Him. 00:35:58.45\00:36:01.92 But the Bible's clear, God is good. 00:36:01.92\00:36:04.13 And every gift of God is good. 00:36:04.13\00:36:06.33 And God doesn't tempt anyone with evil. 00:36:06.33\00:36:08.36 So God did not make somebody who would deliberately sin 00:36:08.36\00:36:11.47 or then God becomes an accomplice. 00:36:11.47\00:36:12.93 - Mm-hmm. 00:36:12.93\00:36:14.27 - And just think about the implications of that, 00:36:14.27\00:36:15.57 that God would make a creature that had no choice, 00:36:15.57\00:36:17.91 but to sin and then He's gonna punish him for sinning. 00:36:17.91\00:36:19.84 - It would ultimately His fault then. 00:36:19.84\00:36:21.64 - Yeah. 00:36:21.64\00:36:22.54 So we gotta be careful a lot. 00:36:23.61\00:36:24.98 Some churches teach that, that's a dangerous doctrine. 00:36:24.98\00:36:27.02 - Alright, thank you, Eduardo. 00:36:27.02\00:36:28.22 - [Eduardo] Yeah. 00:36:28.22\00:36:29.55 - Our next caller is Orlando from Brooklyn, New York. 00:36:29.55\00:36:33.36 That's my birth city. 00:36:33.36\00:36:34.92 Orlando, you're on the air. 00:36:34.92\00:36:37.79 - [Orlando] Hi, thank you for taking my call. 00:36:37.79\00:36:39.46 Like I said to the lady earlier, 00:36:39.46\00:36:42.40 first I wanna say that I believe that 00:36:42.40\00:36:44.43 God knows everything that's happening, 00:36:44.43\00:36:46.33 it's going to happen. 00:36:46.33\00:36:47.27 - Mm-hmm. 00:36:47.27\00:36:48.60 - [Orlando] But that's said, now Judas been vilified 00:36:48.60\00:36:51.84 for betraying Christ, but with God knowing everything 00:36:51.84\00:36:54.61 was that not his purpose in life, 00:36:54.61\00:36:57.08 wasn't he destined to do that? 00:36:57.08\00:36:59.18 - No, that's a great question 00:36:59.18\00:37:00.32 and it's connected with the former question. 00:37:00.32\00:37:02.55 Now think of it like this. 00:37:02.55\00:37:05.22 God is a weatherman, 00:37:05.22\00:37:07.36 just use this as a rough illustration, 00:37:07.36\00:37:10.09 and he flies in a helicopter. 00:37:10.09\00:37:12.43 And from the perspective of the helicopter, 00:37:12.43\00:37:15.16 he can see two cars heading on the same road 00:37:15.16\00:37:18.20 that the traffic signs are out 00:37:18.20\00:37:20.40 and they're going into a tunnel and there's only one lane. 00:37:20.40\00:37:23.34 He can say, well, there's gonna be an accident in a tunnel 00:37:23.34\00:37:26.04 before the accident happens, 00:37:26.04\00:37:27.11 he can see there's gonna be an accident. 00:37:27.11\00:37:28.51 He's not making the accident happen. 00:37:28.51\00:37:30.85 He's just saying, I know what's gonna happen. 00:37:30.85\00:37:32.65 Jesus said, I know Judas is gonna betray Me. 00:37:32.65\00:37:36.85 He didn't make Judas betray Him, 00:37:36.85\00:37:38.49 but God knows everything so He knows what's going to happen. 00:37:38.49\00:37:41.16 He lets His creatures be free. 00:37:41.16\00:37:43.59 And, you know, some parents have had kids and they say, 00:37:43.59\00:37:47.13 this is a kid that just is really rebellious 00:37:47.13\00:37:49.86 and I kind of know what direction he's gonna go. 00:37:49.86\00:37:51.57 I don't want him to, but that child has free choice 00:37:51.57\00:37:55.87 and God did not want Adam to sin or Eve. 00:37:55.87\00:37:59.54 So because God knows something doesn't mean 00:37:59.54\00:38:01.94 He's making it happen. 00:38:01.94\00:38:03.28 Jesus, He wept over Judas. 00:38:03.28\00:38:05.38 He washed his feet. 00:38:05.38\00:38:06.18 He longed to have him repent, 00:38:06.18\00:38:08.48 but he just knew that he would ultimately harden his heart. 00:38:08.48\00:38:10.89 - Yeah. 00:38:10.89\00:38:11.72 It's proactive. 00:38:11.72\00:38:12.55 - Yeah. 00:38:12.55\00:38:13.39 - In hard decisions. 00:38:13.39\00:38:14.22 - Yeah, exactly. 00:38:14.22\00:38:15.06 - Amen. 00:38:15.06\00:38:15.89 Did that help Orlando? 00:38:15.89\00:38:17.96 - Yeah. - I guess he's go off. 00:38:17.96\00:38:19.63 - Okay. 00:38:19.63\00:38:20.46 - Alright. 00:38:20.46\00:38:21.23 Next we have Saith from Texas. 00:38:21.23\00:38:23.90 Good evening, Saith, you're on the air. 00:38:23.90\00:38:26.84 - [Saith] Hi, My question is how do we know 00:38:26.84\00:38:28.87 when the seven last plague started? 00:38:28.87\00:38:32.54 - Alright. 00:38:32.54\00:38:33.41 You know, that's a good question. 00:38:33.41\00:38:35.44 One of the seven last plagues, 00:38:35.44\00:38:37.28 it says the Euphrates river would dry up. 00:38:37.28\00:38:39.08 - Mm-hmm. 00:38:39.08\00:38:40.18 - I think that's the sixth plague. 00:38:40.18\00:38:40.72 - Mm-hmm. 00:38:40.72\00:38:41.52 - Well is very interesting. 00:38:41.52\00:38:42.62 I turned on the news a couple of years ago 00:38:42.62\00:38:43.69 and CNN and Fox major news networks. 00:38:43.69\00:38:46.45 - Yeah. 00:38:46.45\00:38:47.72 - They said the Euphrates river is drying up 00:38:47.72\00:38:51.59 because Issis had captured the floodgates up higher 00:38:51.59\00:38:54.03 and they were turning them off in the 00:38:54.03\00:38:55.70 - Yeah. 00:38:55.70\00:38:57.07 - And the river was going dry and basically trying 00:38:57.07\00:38:58.10 to starve their enemies. 00:38:58.10\00:38:59.47 And folks were going, oh, that's the sixth plague. 00:38:59.47\00:39:02.64 Next plague is Jesus comes (laughs) 00:39:02.64\00:39:05.61 But now river's got a little more water in it. 00:39:05.61\00:39:08.41 I do think it's interesting. 00:39:08.41\00:39:09.74 That is one that one plague that may have a literal 00:39:09.74\00:39:12.11 and a spiritual fulfillment as well. 00:39:12.11\00:39:14.18 But you know, we certainly have not seen 00:39:14.18\00:39:15.88 waters turning to blood. 00:39:15.88\00:39:17.59 You know, we've not seen the whole world covered with 00:39:17.59\00:39:20.29 a noisome sore. 00:39:20.29\00:39:21.39 - Yeah, COVID but not a noisome sore. 00:39:21.39\00:39:24.73 And then it says men will be scorched with great heat. 00:39:24.73\00:39:27.96 And I think that's the fourth plague. 00:39:27.96\00:39:30.80 And so, you know, we haven't seen those things happen. 00:39:30.80\00:39:35.10 I also think that the spiritual events that happened 00:39:35.10\00:39:38.37 just before Jesus comes, talks about a law, 00:39:38.37\00:39:41.74 that everybody must worship the beasts and his image, 00:39:41.74\00:39:43.85 or they can't buy or sell and they'll be killed. 00:39:43.85\00:39:46.55 That has not happened. 00:39:46.55\00:39:47.38 - No. 00:39:47.38\00:39:48.18 - Plagues come after that. 00:39:48.18\00:39:49.05 - Yep. 00:39:49.05\00:39:49.85 And also there's no repentance 00:39:49.85\00:39:51.45 after the plagues start to fall. 00:39:51.45\00:39:53.29 So some people ask is COVID one of the seven plagues. 00:39:53.29\00:39:55.29 They're like, well, more people are repenting now 00:39:55.29\00:39:57.13 and coming to the Lord than ever. 00:39:57.13\00:39:58.76 So that shows that we're still, 00:39:58.76\00:40:00.40 we haven't gone to that point yet. 00:40:00.40\00:40:01.70 - It is a plague. 00:40:01.70\00:40:03.10 And Jesus said, there'll be pestilence in the last day. 00:40:03.10\00:40:04.80 So it certainly fulfills that, 00:40:04.80\00:40:06.17 but I don't believe it's one of the seven last plagues. 00:40:06.17\00:40:09.24 - Yes, exactly. 00:40:09.24\00:40:10.07 - Alright. 00:40:10.07\00:40:10.91 Thank you, Saith. 00:40:10.91\00:40:11.71 Next we have Edna from Michigan. 00:40:11.71\00:40:13.58 Edna, good evening. 00:40:13.58\00:40:14.74 You're on the air. 00:40:14.74\00:40:16.31 - [Edna] Good evening guys. 00:40:16.31\00:40:17.88 - Hi. 00:40:17.88\00:40:18.95 - [Edna] my question is Matthew 5:21 and 22. 00:40:18.95\00:40:22.78 - Mm-hmm. 00:40:22.78\00:40:24.15 - [Edna] So do you want me to read that or do you want to, 00:40:24.15\00:40:26.49 - You can go right ahead. 00:40:26.49\00:40:28.46 - [Edna] Okay. 00:40:28.46\00:40:29.69 5:21, "You've heard that it was said to those of old, 00:40:31.06\00:40:35.73 you shall not murder and whoever murders 00:40:36.97\00:40:38.53 will be in danger of judgment. 00:40:38.53\00:40:40.47 But I say to you verse 22, 00:40:40.47\00:40:43.27 that whoever's angry with his brother without a cause 00:40:43.27\00:40:46.91 shall be in danger of the judgment. 00:40:46.91\00:40:49.51 And whoever says to his brother Raca, 00:40:49.51\00:40:52.45 shall be in danger of council, 00:40:52.45\00:40:55.28 but whoever says you fool should be in danger of hell fire. 00:40:55.28\00:41:00.32 So my question is the very last. 00:41:01.12\00:41:03.99 If a person is a fool 00:41:03.99\00:41:06.80 and what's wrong with saying that they are a fool? 00:41:08.30\00:41:12.70 Hell fire is pretty drastic. 00:41:12.70\00:41:15.27 - Yeah. 00:41:15.27\00:41:16.64 - [Edna] So what's wrong with calling them a fool? 00:41:16.64\00:41:18.24 - Yeah, I know what you're saying 00:41:18.24\00:41:19.51 and there are actually places where James says, 00:41:19.51\00:41:23.51 oh, I forget which verse it is, 00:41:24.78\00:41:26.41 but he says "Oh foolish man. 00:41:26.41\00:41:28.82 And then Jesus said fools and slow of heart to believe. 00:41:30.15\00:41:33.92 And if you read in Proverbs, 00:41:33.92\00:41:35.72 Proverbs talks a lot about the foolish man. 00:41:35.72\00:41:38.03 The fool is said in his heart, there is no God, David said. 00:41:38.03\00:41:40.60 So are they all going to hell because they said that? 00:41:40.60\00:41:44.10 You know, the word there that Jesus uses for fool, 00:41:44.10\00:41:46.70 it means they call a person worthless. 00:41:46.70\00:41:48.84 And I think He's basically saying that, 00:41:48.84\00:41:50.94 if you tell a person that they're not worthy of being 00:41:50.94\00:41:54.01 saved, that they have no value to God. 00:41:54.01\00:41:55.91 You know, that's really an insult on the Creator 00:41:55.91\00:41:59.18 and treating people, I don't think it means 00:41:59.18\00:42:01.58 saying at one time 'cause that's not the unpardonable sin, 00:42:01.58\00:42:03.92 but treating people like they have no value before God. 00:42:03.92\00:42:08.22 That's yeah, that's very dangerous. 00:42:08.22\00:42:11.13 - [Edna] So what I hear you saying is 00:42:11.13\00:42:14.30 because God made that person that they are worthy 00:42:16.13\00:42:21.20 of His sacrifice. 00:42:21.87\00:42:23.67 And so therefore I should not think him to be a fool. 00:42:23.67\00:42:27.91 - Yeah. 00:42:27.91\00:42:29.04 Or don't don't think him to be worthless. 00:42:29.04\00:42:31.18 And you know, even in English, we've got some words 00:42:31.18\00:42:34.08 that depending on the context, 00:42:34.08\00:42:35.72 they have two different meanings. 00:42:35.72\00:42:37.59 And so this is one of those words in Greek 00:42:37.59\00:42:40.72 that can mean a silly person and let's face it 00:42:40.72\00:42:43.73 there's a lot of silly people, their behavior. 00:42:43.73\00:42:45.96 But then using that same word, it can also mean 00:42:45.96\00:42:48.13 a person that has no value. 00:42:48.13\00:42:50.43 And so you don't want to tell a person, 00:42:50.43\00:42:52.03 - [Edna] Okay, I understand 00:42:52.03\00:42:52.87 - They have no value. 00:42:52.87\00:42:54.10 - [Edna] Okay. 00:42:54.10\00:42:55.60 - That's I think the context of what Jesus is saying. 00:42:55.60\00:42:57.37 Thank you. 00:42:57.37\00:42:58.77 - [Edna] Well, I appreciate you telling me 00:42:58.77\00:43:00.14 because I've read this over and over 00:43:00.14\00:43:02.44 and I just did not understand it, but now I do. 00:43:02.44\00:43:05.25 Thank you. 00:43:05.25\00:43:06.08 - Amen. 00:43:06.08\00:43:07.12 - Thank you. Alright. 00:43:07.12\00:43:08.15 Next we have Taydion from Illinois. 00:43:08.15\00:43:11.29 Taydion, you're on the air. 00:43:12.22\00:43:13.79 Did I say that correctly? 00:43:13.79\00:43:15.06 - [Taydion] It's Taydion. 00:43:15.06\00:43:16.66 - Taydion, Alright. 00:43:16.66\00:43:18.46 And your question. 00:43:18.46\00:43:20.03 - [Taydion] So my question is that 00:43:21.63\00:43:23.90 I'm in kind of a predicament, 00:43:23.90\00:43:25.37 but the general question is the unpardonable sin, 00:43:25.37\00:43:28.94 because I heard about this, I believe, like a year 00:43:28.94\00:43:31.77 or two ago and it just kept clouding my mind 00:43:31.77\00:43:36.68 and I essentially know what it means and essentially 00:43:36.68\00:43:41.08 I know what it means and I know how you commit it. 00:43:42.45\00:43:44.29 But the thing is though, is that I've been going through 00:43:44.29\00:43:47.06 a lot of struggles lately because I don't know 00:43:47.06\00:43:49.32 any other seventh day Adventist, like Christians around me. 00:43:49.32\00:43:52.33 And even if I do, I can't go to church or whatever, 00:43:52.33\00:43:55.26 because I don't drive, but that's mostly due to my fault. 00:43:55.26\00:43:59.23 But my question is that if you committed 00:43:59.23\00:44:03.27 the unpardonable sin, would the character that God 00:44:03.27\00:44:06.41 has been making you into, still remain 00:44:06.41\00:44:10.51 or would it completely disappear? 00:44:10.51\00:44:14.02 - Alright. 00:44:14.02\00:44:15.62 Let me see if I understand what you're saying. 00:44:15.62\00:44:17.62 So if you've committed the under unpardonable sin, 00:44:17.62\00:44:20.46 are you asking, does that mean that you get any credit 00:44:20.46\00:44:22.82 for your past development? 00:44:22.82\00:44:24.46 - [Taydion] No, no, no. 00:44:24.46\00:44:26.43 Essentially, no. 00:44:27.93\00:44:29.73 So like, I'll do a little bit of short story so that, 00:44:29.73\00:44:32.67 - Well, we gotta see summarize it as quickly as you can 00:44:32.67\00:44:36.04 'cause we've got a few people lined up. 00:44:36.04\00:44:37.94 - [Taydion] Yeah, so essentially, I've been 00:44:37.94\00:44:42.04 struggling with sin a lot, but I've had victories over, you 00:44:42.04\00:44:45.48 know, like most sin. 00:44:45.48\00:44:46.78 I don't play violent video games much anymore, 00:44:46.78\00:44:49.78 let alone anything else. 00:44:49.78\00:44:51.65 And I've gained a victory over pornography, 00:44:51.65\00:44:53.69 essentially that really doesn't bother me anymore, 00:44:53.69\00:44:55.59 but it's essentially got to the point to where 00:44:55.59\00:44:59.33 I asked God to put me through a trial and ,you know, 00:44:59.33\00:45:02.26 to baptize me with fire, 00:45:02.26\00:45:03.70 basically meaning put me through trials. 00:45:03.70\00:45:05.40 And then it literally got to the point where 00:45:05.40\00:45:07.30 I think He did. 00:45:07.30\00:45:08.67 And then I've been attacked mentally that, you know, like, 00:45:08.67\00:45:12.77 it's just, you know, like doubting God essentially. 00:45:12.77\00:45:15.68 And then that's led to me thinking 00:45:15.68\00:45:17.08 I committed the unpardonable sin 00:45:17.08\00:45:18.55 and that's just been plaguing me. 00:45:18.55\00:45:19.91 But for the past couple of days I felt encouraged 00:45:19.91\00:45:22.95 and I even felt the Holy Spirit tug on my heart on Friday 00:45:22.95\00:45:26.69 saying go to Jesus. 00:45:26.69\00:45:28.02 And then now like the Word of God is hitting me. 00:45:28.02\00:45:30.63 Kind of like what you brought up earlier, 00:45:30.63\00:45:31.96 like with the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. 00:45:31.96\00:45:33.50 I believe was Sodom and Gomorrah. 00:45:33.50\00:45:35.46 it was something about Abraham. 00:45:35.46\00:45:36.87 - If we were to summarize this, are you asking then 00:45:36.87\00:45:38.63 how do I know that I've not committed the unpardonable sin? 00:45:38.63\00:45:43.71 - [Taydion] Basically. Yes. 00:45:44.51\00:45:44.91 - Okay. 00:45:44.91\00:45:45.44 - Alright. 00:45:45.44\00:45:46.78 That's a good question, you know you're not alone out there 00:45:46.78\00:45:48.11 because people come to Jesus and they find themselves 00:45:48.11\00:45:50.75 struggling with sin for years sometimes. 00:45:50.75\00:45:53.35 And well, their whole life they're gonna 00:45:53.35\00:45:55.25 struggle with temptation. 00:45:55.25\00:45:56.99 But does that mean then that, 00:45:56.99\00:45:58.99 well, if I'm still being tempted after being a Christian 00:45:58.99\00:46:01.26 30 years, sometimes they fall in the same area 00:46:01.26\00:46:04.13 over and over again. 00:46:04.13\00:46:05.39 Does that mean I've committed the unpardonable sin? 00:46:05.39\00:46:08.03 I'll say no because as long as there's a devil in the world, 00:46:08.03\00:46:12.30 you're gonna be battling temptation. 00:46:12.30\00:46:16.00 You want to continue to nurture the Holy Spirit in your life 00:46:16.00\00:46:20.48 when you are convicted, you repent of your sins. 00:46:20.48\00:46:24.55 And then by God's grace, you strive to turn. 00:46:24.55\00:46:27.15 Repentance means a sorrow for sin 00:46:27.15\00:46:30.25 and a willingness to turn away. 00:46:30.25\00:46:32.89 Do you see growth? 00:46:32.89\00:46:34.16 Bible says grow in the grace and the knowledge 00:46:34.16\00:46:36.83 of our Lord, Jesus Christ. 00:46:36.83\00:46:38.46 So, you know, are you seeing any progress? 00:46:38.46\00:46:40.56 I'm encouraged because I see spiritually that I'm growing. 00:46:40.56\00:46:44.73 I think I'm praying more now than I ever used to. 00:46:44.73\00:46:46.67 And I see progress in my life. 00:46:46.67\00:46:50.94 But boy, every day I was talking on the way 00:46:50.94\00:46:53.54 to the radio program with a friend that picked me up. 00:46:53.54\00:46:55.91 I said, I got a battle every day with not eating too much. 00:46:55.91\00:46:59.85 And it's been that way for years because, you know, 00:46:59.85\00:47:03.22 if I just go with my taste buds, 00:47:03.22\00:47:05.05 - Yeah. 00:47:05.05\00:47:06.15 - I'll eat twice as much (chuckles) 00:47:06.15\00:47:07.49 So you're never gonna get away from having some battles 00:47:07.49\00:47:11.23 and don't get discouraged. 00:47:11.23\00:47:13.19 Now we have a free book. 00:47:13.19\00:47:14.50 We'll send you. 00:47:14.50\00:47:15.60 And it's called the unpardonable sin. 00:47:15.60\00:47:17.33 I think you'll find that encouraging. 00:47:17.33\00:47:19.13 - Yes. 00:47:19.13\00:47:20.07 - Taydion. 00:47:20.07\00:47:20.97 - Taydion. 00:47:21.74\00:47:22.57 - Taydion, Alright. 00:47:22.57\00:47:23.64 And thank you for your call. 00:47:23.64\00:47:24.94 We see if we can get a couple more in 00:47:24.94\00:47:26.44 before we run out of time here. 00:47:26.44\00:47:27.94 - Yeah, sure. 00:47:27.94\00:47:29.01 Let's go to Ruth from Denton, Texas. 00:47:29.01\00:47:31.85 - [Ruth] My question is, are those seven last plagues 00:47:33.18\00:47:37.09 going to be all over the world? 00:47:38.02\00:47:39.75 Or like separately in different areas? 00:47:39.75\00:47:43.53 Areas of the world. 00:47:43.53\00:47:45.73 - Yeah, good question. 00:47:45.73\00:47:47.50 You know, even when the seven plagues fell on Egypt, 00:47:47.50\00:47:51.33 it seemed like different areas 00:47:51.33\00:47:53.10 in Egypt had different intensity. 00:47:53.10\00:47:55.50 The Lord spared the land of Goshen, 00:47:55.50\00:47:58.01 during the last seven plagues. 00:47:58.01\00:48:00.41 When it tells us that the earth is gonna be scorched 00:48:00.41\00:48:02.61 with great heat under the fourth plague, 00:48:02.61\00:48:05.35 I suspect it's gonna be worse at the equator 00:48:05.35\00:48:08.75 than it's gonna be at Antarctica. 00:48:08.75\00:48:11.52 And, you know, it talks about, of course, 00:48:11.52\00:48:14.99 fresh water turning to blood, the seas turning to blood. 00:48:14.99\00:48:18.36 So, you know, I don't know that 00:48:18.36\00:48:20.96 they're gonna be universal in nature. 00:48:20.96\00:48:22.66 Jesus said that except those days be shortened, no flesh. 00:48:22.66\00:48:26.47 That means good, bad, anybody, 00:48:26.47\00:48:28.10 no animals, nothing would survive. 00:48:28.10\00:48:30.47 So it's gonna be pretty serious. 00:48:30.47\00:48:31.84 - Yeah. 00:48:31.84\00:48:33.11 I think they're progressive because if they fell 00:48:33.11\00:48:34.88 on the earth that all, or covered the whole earth, 00:48:34.88\00:48:37.98 then that will be completely wiped out humanity. 00:48:37.98\00:48:41.15 - Yeah, exterminate humanity. 00:48:41.15\00:48:42.52 So they're probably gonna be coming in different levels 00:48:42.52\00:48:45.39 at different time. 00:48:45.39\00:48:46.76 Well, we know they're at different times. 00:48:46.76\00:48:48.12 It's gonna be a sequence and, you know, 00:48:48.12\00:48:50.03 maybe they'll just start to recover from one 00:48:50.03\00:48:51.53 and then another one hits. 00:48:51.53\00:48:52.76 - Yep. 00:48:52.76\00:48:53.60 Just like an Egypt. 00:48:53.60\00:48:54.40 - Yep. 00:48:54.40\00:48:55.23 - Alright. 00:48:55.23\00:48:56.06 - Thank you, Ruth. 00:48:56.06\00:48:56.90 Appreciate your call. 00:48:56.90\00:48:57.73 - Alright. 00:48:57.73\00:48:58.53 We have Caleb from New York. 00:48:58.53\00:49:00.44 Caleb, welcome, you're on the air. 00:49:00.44\00:49:02.74 - [Caleb] Hello. 00:49:02.74\00:49:04.07 Yes, my question is about, someone asked me today 00:49:04.07\00:49:06.81 and I was talking Bible with someone today 00:49:06.81\00:49:08.84 and I couldn't answer this question. 00:49:08.84\00:49:11.11 My question is, what about people that live in tribes? 00:49:11.11\00:49:15.68 People who don't know about Jesus Christ, 00:49:16.79\00:49:20.32 'Cause I remember a few years ago 00:49:20.32\00:49:21.39 this guy went to try and preach to this tribe 00:49:21.39\00:49:24.09 and then they killed him. 00:49:24.09\00:49:26.23 - Mm-hmm. 00:49:26.23\00:49:27.30 - [Caleb] These people don't know, 00:49:27.30\00:49:28.16 they never heard of Jesus Christ. 00:49:28.16\00:49:31.10 What happened to these people? 00:49:31.10\00:49:33.03 - Are you wondering, is everybody lost 00:49:33.03\00:49:36.27 who never heard about Jesus? 00:49:37.17\00:49:38.81 - [Caleb] Yes. 00:49:38.81\00:49:40.21 - And you know you've got these people that are in, 00:49:40.21\00:49:41.34 you know, they might be Aborigenes in Australia 00:49:41.34\00:49:44.78 or some of the natives in the jungles of Brazil 00:49:44.78\00:49:48.35 or in Africa that never heard about Jesus 00:49:48.35\00:49:51.42 for all those millennia, are all of them automatically lost? 00:49:51.42\00:49:56.09 And I would say no, 00:49:56.09\00:49:57.83 because, you know, Jesus, when He began His ministry, 00:49:57.83\00:50:00.86 He said, preaching to His people in His own home church. 00:50:00.86\00:50:05.53 He said there were many lepers in the land 00:50:05.53\00:50:07.30 in the days of Naaman, but none of them was cleansed 00:50:07.30\00:50:09.54 except the Syrian, not a Jew. 00:50:09.54\00:50:12.54 And he said, there were many widows in the land 00:50:12.54\00:50:14.54 in the days of Elijah. 00:50:14.54\00:50:15.68 But Elijah wasn't sent to any Jewish widows, 00:50:15.68\00:50:17.91 he was sent to a Phoenician widow. 00:50:17.91\00:50:20.58 And Jesus is emphasizing that 00:50:20.58\00:50:23.08 there are many that will come from the east and the west 00:50:23.08\00:50:24.59 and sit down in the kingdom. 00:50:24.59\00:50:26.05 There are people I think in foreign lands, 00:50:26.05\00:50:27.96 now, most people are not gonna be saved. 00:50:27.96\00:50:29.76 Jesus said the road to destruction is wide 00:50:29.76\00:50:33.09 because they did not surrender to the will of the Lord. 00:50:33.09\00:50:36.77 But Christ is pretty clear in John, 00:50:36.77\00:50:39.07 and I think it's chapter 5, where He said, 00:50:39.07\00:50:42.40 the hour is coming in which those that are in the grave 00:50:42.40\00:50:44.47 will hear His voice and come forth. 00:50:44.47\00:50:46.04 They that have done good, the resurrection of life. 00:50:46.04\00:50:49.41 They that have done evil, the resurrection of damnation. 00:50:49.41\00:50:52.15 There are some people maybe in foreign lands 00:50:52.15\00:50:54.55 that they're saved by Jesus. 00:50:54.55\00:50:57.99 No one is saved without Jesus. 00:50:57.99\00:50:59.92 But they listen to the voice of Christ speaking through 00:50:59.92\00:51:02.69 Providence or angels. 00:51:02.69\00:51:04.96 And they walked in the light they had. 00:51:04.96\00:51:08.16 There's nothing that would prevent God 00:51:08.16\00:51:09.73 from saving those people. 00:51:09.73\00:51:11.30 So I think the Holy Spirit, does what Paul say in Romans 1, 00:51:11.30\00:51:14.60 that even the barbarians, 00:51:14.60\00:51:16.37 who maybe did not hear the gospel from 00:51:16.37\00:51:18.87 an apostle or preacher, they've heard God speaking 00:51:18.87\00:51:21.51 through His creation, 00:51:21.51\00:51:22.91 and so they're without excuse. 00:51:22.91\00:51:24.95 So God has spoken to people. 00:51:24.95\00:51:27.68 it's just never been as direct missionaries as so important 00:51:27.68\00:51:30.89 because it's such a direct way of communicating 00:51:30.89\00:51:33.25 the full gospel. 00:51:33.25\00:51:34.36 But you know, I think there'll be some people 00:51:34.36\00:51:36.26 that will be saved from these dark corners of the earth. 00:51:36.26\00:51:38.79 - Yeah. 00:51:38.79\00:51:40.06 And for God, to judge everybody, as it says in the Bible, 00:51:40.06\00:51:42.70 then everybody He had to reveal Himself 00:51:42.70\00:51:44.87 in some way, shape or form. 00:51:44.87\00:51:46.07 Either through creation, Romans 1. 00:51:46.07\00:51:47.24 - Mm-mmh. 00:51:47.24\00:51:48.87 - Through His Son, primarily through His Word. 00:51:48.87\00:51:51.21 So everybody in some way, shape or form 00:51:51.21\00:51:52.74 has had a revelation of God. 00:51:52.74\00:51:54.31 - Yeah, Christ. 00:51:54.31\00:51:55.61 - And they've rejected it or acknowledged it 00:51:55.61\00:51:57.78 - And Jesus said that, if you had not seen, 00:51:57.78\00:52:00.78 you would have no sin, 00:52:00.78\00:52:01.88 but now that you see your sin remains. 00:52:01.88\00:52:03.89 So to whom much is given much is required. 00:52:03.89\00:52:05.99 People that know the full gospel 00:52:05.99\00:52:07.89 are gonna be held more accountable 00:52:07.89\00:52:09.39 than those who've had very little knowledge of these 00:52:09.39\00:52:13.60 things. Alright, you know what? 00:52:13.60\00:52:14.66 I'm looking at the clock 00:52:14.66\00:52:16.56 and I don't think we can do a question in 54, 53, 52. 00:52:16.56\00:52:20.54 Let me tell you what's coming up friends. 00:52:20.54\00:52:21.97 Don't go away. 00:52:21.97\00:52:23.07 We are doing more Bible questions, 00:52:23.07\00:52:25.91 but just so you understand the mechanics of this, 00:52:25.91\00:52:28.01 we're on not only a number of land based stations 00:52:28.01\00:52:30.15 and the internet around the world, 00:52:30.15\00:52:31.65 but we're on satellite across North America. 00:52:31.65\00:52:34.08 And the time clocks between these two stations are 00:52:34.08\00:52:36.08 a little bit different. 00:52:36.08\00:52:38.22 We're gonna be going off the air 00:52:38.22\00:52:40.16 with our satellite friends in just a moment, 00:52:40.16\00:52:42.39 but everyone else stay tuned. 00:52:42.39\00:52:44.26 Pastor Carlos and I are gonna be going through 00:52:44.26\00:52:46.36 a number of rapid fire questions in just a moment. 00:52:46.36\00:52:49.53 And if you want to email us, we're gonna be dealing 00:52:49.53\00:52:51.93 with questions that came in during the email time. 00:52:51.93\00:52:55.10 If you want to email questions to us, 00:52:55.10\00:52:57.47 you can email Amazing Facts at our Bible Answers Live 00:52:57.47\00:53:00.38 address and say, I'd like you to answer this question 00:53:00.38\00:53:02.81 during your fast fire program at the end. 00:53:02.81\00:53:06.61 So coming back in just a few moments 00:53:07.75\00:53:09.58 with more Bible questions. 00:53:09.58\00:53:11.82 - [Narrator] Thank you for listening to today's broadcast. 00:53:14.16\00:53:16.69 We hope you understand your Bible even better than before. 00:53:16.69\00:53:20.10 Bible Answers Live is produced by 00:53:20.10\00:53:21.86 Amazing Facts International, a faith based ministry 00:53:21.86\00:53:26.03 located in Granite Bay, California. 00:53:26.03\00:53:29.00 - Alright, we're back. 00:53:30.27\00:53:31.11 - Yes. 00:53:31.11\00:53:32.34 - So this is what they normally do during the bloopers 00:53:32.34\00:53:33.88 and the credits. 00:53:33.88\00:53:34.88 We're gonna do questions real quick. 00:53:34.88\00:53:36.21 We got like two minutes and see how many we can get 00:53:36.21\00:53:37.45 through pastor Carlos. 00:53:37.45\00:53:38.25 - Alright, let's do quickly. 00:53:38.25\00:53:40.42 This is from Joanne in England. 00:53:40.42\00:53:43.42 She says, can you please throw some light on Jude 1:13? 00:53:43.42\00:53:46.99 well there's only one chapter Jude 1:13. 00:53:46.99\00:53:50.66 We know that there is no eternal damnation for the wicked 00:53:50.66\00:53:53.13 yet the verse seems to imply that God 00:53:53.13\00:53:55.20 will punish the wicked forever in a place of darkness. 00:53:55.20\00:53:57.90 Could you help me understand this? 00:53:57.90\00:54:00.07 - Yeah, well, it's talking about, 00:54:00.07\00:54:02.20 it says for whom is reserved the blackness 00:54:02.20\00:54:04.67 of darkness forever. 00:54:04.67\00:54:06.27 Well, if you got blackness of darkness, that's oblivion, 00:54:06.27\00:54:08.38 you don't see anything, you don't know anything. 00:54:08.38\00:54:10.41 And it's basically saying that 00:54:10.41\00:54:12.25 the wicked will experience eternal judgment. 00:54:12.25\00:54:16.52 They're, you know, brought into non-existence, 00:54:16.52\00:54:20.02 the blackness of darkness. 00:54:20.02\00:54:21.89 And they don't see God. 00:54:21.89\00:54:22.96 They don't see each other. 00:54:22.96\00:54:23.76 They don't know anything. 00:54:23.76\00:54:25.06 And so truth and realization is compared to light, 00:54:25.06\00:54:29.70 this is the opposite of that. 00:54:29.70\00:54:31.27 - Internal death. 00:54:31.27\00:54:32.67 Next on line has, Why was Moses punished so harshly 00:54:32.67\00:54:34.64 for striking Instead of speaking 00:54:34.64\00:54:36.74 while David was punished so lightly for adultery and murder? 00:54:36.74\00:54:40.24 - Well, Moses was treated severely because 00:54:40.24\00:54:43.85 he as the leader of the people, 00:54:43.85\00:54:45.08 the mediator between God and man, 00:54:45.08\00:54:46.92 God told him clearly to speak to the rock 00:54:46.92\00:54:49.85 and God later said that Moses, He says, 00:54:49.85\00:54:51.62 you're being punished because you did not 00:54:51.62\00:54:53.69 glorify Me before the people. 00:54:53.69\00:54:55.89 And God ultimately did raised Moses from the dead. 00:54:55.89\00:54:58.23 And He did let him see the promise land from Mount Nebo. 00:54:58.23\00:55:01.56 David was punished harshly. 00:55:01.56\00:55:03.73 He not only lost the illegitimate child, 00:55:03.73\00:55:06.67 he lost three other sons, the respect of the people 00:55:06.67\00:55:09.74 and, yeah, he spent seven days on his face crying. 00:55:09.74\00:55:12.44 - Yep. 00:55:12.44\00:55:13.74 Next we have Mel, asking, my Christian husband 00:55:13.74\00:55:16.85 left the church and had an affair 00:55:16.85\00:55:18.21 during the end of our marriage. 00:55:18.21\00:55:19.55 I too started a short affair and committed adultery. 00:55:19.55\00:55:21.95 Will the Lord judge us the same 00:55:21.95\00:55:23.75 for breaking the marriage vow? 00:55:23.75\00:55:26.79 - Well, all sin is sin, but I'm not gonna be 00:55:26.79\00:55:29.89 judging anyone's heart right now 00:55:29.89\00:55:31.86 because in a situation like this, 00:55:31.86\00:55:33.60 there's gonna be a lot of circumstantial evidence that 00:55:33.60\00:55:36.63 or differences that, I'd recommend you read 00:55:36.63\00:55:39.57 the book that I wrote and you can send for it. 00:55:39.57\00:55:41.44 It's called "Marriage, divorce and remarriage." 00:55:41.44\00:55:43.44 Lot of verses deal with that subject there. 00:55:43.44\00:55:45.91 - Alright, then we have here from New Zealand, Russell, 00:55:45.91\00:55:48.51 says, when Jesus said He will be with us 00:55:48.51\00:55:51.51 until the end of the age. 00:55:51.51\00:55:52.61 Does that mean He will leave us at some stage? 00:55:52.61\00:55:54.98 I thought He was with us forever. 00:55:54.98\00:55:57.35 - Well, yeah, He will be with us forever. 00:55:57.35\00:55:58.75 I think the time we're worried about 00:55:58.75\00:56:00.19 is not when we get to heaven. 00:56:00.19\00:56:01.29 I think the context is the people were worried 00:56:01.29\00:56:03.06 that He was gonna go to heaven and forget about them. 00:56:03.06\00:56:06.06 He said, no, I'm never gonna leave you. 00:56:06.06\00:56:07.40 I'll be with you all through the trials of this world 00:56:07.40\00:56:09.73 and friends, wherever you are, he's with you right now. 00:56:09.73\00:56:12.33 And this really is coming to the conclusion of our program. 00:56:12.33\00:56:16.54 Go to amazingfacts.org. 00:56:16.54\00:56:18.51 - [Narrator] Bible Answers Live. 00:56:20.81\00:56:22.94 Honest and accurate answers to your Bible questions. 00:56:22.94\00:56:27.35 - [Reporter] Jerusalem, the city of peace 00:56:29.38\00:56:31.49 has been a place of unending conflict for centuries. 00:56:31.49\00:56:34.89 Many now believe that Jerusalem 00:56:34.89\00:56:36.39 will soon take center stage again, 00:56:36.39\00:56:38.69 but what does the Bible say?
