Hi, kids, you wanna hear an amazing fact? 00:00:11.41\00:00:13.98 Most people choose to have children 00:00:14.01\00:00:15.71 because they want the baby to love 00:00:15.74\00:00:17.21 and they want to be loved by the baby, 00:00:17.25\00:00:18.91 but one family in Los Angeles in 1990, 00:00:18.95\00:00:21.98 they had a baby specifically for the purpose 00:00:22.02\00:00:24.59 of saving their other child. 00:00:24.62\00:00:26.72 Back in 1989, Anissa Ayala of Los Angeles 00:00:26.76\00:00:30.43 was diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia, 00:00:30.46\00:00:33.70 a bone marrow transplant was her only hope 00:00:33.73\00:00:36.10 for a second chance at life. 00:00:36.13\00:00:38.20 But unfortunately, neither of her parents 00:00:38.23\00:00:40.54 Mary and Abraham, 00:00:40.57\00:00:41.90 or her older brother Aaron had a bone marrow 00:00:41.94\00:00:44.21 that matched hers. 00:00:44.24\00:00:45.81 Even after they launched a massive national campaign 00:00:45.84\00:00:49.01 to find and recruit new donors, 00:00:49.04\00:00:51.21 not one was found that had bone marrow 00:00:51.25\00:00:53.55 that matched Anissa. 00:00:53.58\00:00:55.48 That's when her parents aged 44 and 42 00:00:55.52\00:00:58.52 decided they'd have another baby 00:00:58.55\00:01:00.29 to try to save her life. 00:01:00.32\00:01:01.92 Even though they knew the chances 00:01:01.96\00:01:03.89 this new baby were only one in four 00:01:03.93\00:01:05.99 that it would be a bone marrow match, 00:01:06.03\00:01:07.86 they went ahead. 00:01:07.90\00:01:09.36 And incredibly Mary did get pregnant at age 42 00:01:09.40\00:01:12.70 and their prayers were answered. 00:01:12.73\00:01:14.24 The new baby they named Marisa 00:01:14.27\00:01:16.57 turned out to be a perfect match. 00:01:16.60\00:01:19.31 And at 14 months, she donated her marrow 00:01:19.34\00:01:21.84 to her big sister Anissa without of course having 00:01:21.88\00:01:24.51 much say in the matter, 00:01:24.55\00:01:25.98 the treatment worked out perfectly. 00:01:26.01\00:01:28.32 Today, 20 years later, Anissa enjoys perfect health 00:01:28.35\00:01:31.95 and is very close to her younger sister. 00:01:31.99\00:01:34.62 You know, friends, this is not the first time 00:01:34.66\00:01:36.86 that a baby was born specifically to save others. 00:01:36.89\00:01:40.50 We're gonna learn more about it in this Amazing Adventure, 00:01:40.53\00:01:43.26 so let's get on board and discover together. 00:01:43.30\00:01:45.30 Well, good evening everyone and welcome again 00:02:03.95\00:02:05.85 to Amazing Adventure, A Journey for Life with Jesus. 00:02:05.89\00:02:09.69 I'd like to welcome all of our young people 00:02:09.72\00:02:11.76 that are here this evening, and also our friends 00:02:11.79\00:02:13.40 who are joining us 00:02:13.43\00:02:14.76 across the country and around the world 00:02:14.80\00:02:16.13 part of our amazing discovery journey 00:02:16.16\00:02:18.93 into Bible truth. 00:02:18.97\00:02:21.04 But before we get to our study this evening, 00:02:21.07\00:02:22.94 we're gonna sing our theme song 00:02:22.97\00:02:24.94 "Life is an Adventure." 00:02:24.97\00:02:26.31 And I'm gonna invite Pastor Doug to come forward. 00:02:26.34\00:02:28.34 Now, in the past when Pastor Doug has come out 00:02:28.38\00:02:31.65 he has rung the bell and when Pastor Doug... 00:02:31.68\00:02:34.82 Wait, wait when Pastor Doug rings the bell, 00:02:34.85\00:02:37.32 I want us all to say good evening, 00:02:37.35\00:02:39.55 Pastor Doug, all right? 00:02:39.59\00:02:40.92 So listen for the bell. Thank you, singers. 00:04:08.48\00:04:09.98 You can make your way down. 00:04:10.01\00:04:11.75 But we do have some Bible questions 00:04:11.78\00:04:13.45 that some of our young people have asked. 00:04:13.48\00:04:14.88 And so we're gonna take a look at 00:04:14.92\00:04:16.25 those video Bible questions. 00:04:16.28\00:04:17.89 Our first one for this evening. 00:04:17.92\00:04:20.56 Hi, my name is Sierra Simmons, I am from Crofton, Maryland, 00:04:20.59\00:04:24.59 and I'm nine years old. 00:04:24.63\00:04:26.29 My Bible question is, 00:04:26.33\00:04:27.80 how do you give your heart to God? 00:04:27.83\00:04:30.30 Oh, probably one of the most important questions 00:04:30.33\00:04:32.97 that somebody can ask. 00:04:33.00\00:04:34.34 How do you give your heart to God? 00:04:34.37\00:04:37.34 When we say heart, often people think about 00:04:37.37\00:04:40.44 an emotional feeling. 00:04:40.48\00:04:41.81 They think about your heart here, 00:04:41.84\00:04:43.18 they think about a Valentine's heart. 00:04:43.21\00:04:45.55 In the Bible when it says, "Giving your heart to God," 00:04:45.58\00:04:48.35 it tells us in the Word of God, 00:04:48.38\00:04:49.88 "As a man thinks in his heart so is he." 00:04:49.92\00:04:53.69 Do you think with your pump or with your head? 00:04:53.72\00:04:55.32 Head. 00:04:55.36\00:04:56.69 When you give your heart to God, 00:04:56.73\00:04:58.06 you are giving your mind to God. 00:04:58.09\00:04:59.53 You're saying "Lord, I am choosing to trust You. 00:04:59.56\00:05:03.33 I believe in You, I thank You for Your love. 00:05:03.37\00:05:06.20 Lord, I'm helpless unless You help me." 00:05:06.23\00:05:08.37 Be honest with God and say, "I belong to you. 00:05:08.40\00:05:12.34 Will you change me? Will you forgive me?" 00:05:12.37\00:05:14.08 And when you do that, 00:05:14.11\00:05:15.44 you are giving your heart to God. 00:05:15.48\00:05:16.81 It's a choice to make, to give your life to Him 00:05:16.85\00:05:19.78 and ask for His forgiveness. 00:05:19.81\00:05:21.65 And will He answer that prayer? 00:05:21.68\00:05:23.75 This is our subject tonight. 00:05:23.79\00:05:25.15 So you'll learn more about that. 00:05:25.19\00:05:26.69 Okay, very good. 00:05:26.72\00:05:28.06 Our next question that we have. 00:05:28.09\00:05:29.92 Hi, my name is Samuel, 00:05:29.96\00:05:31.29 I'm 12 years old, from California. 00:05:31.33\00:05:33.23 And I want to know, 00:05:33.26\00:05:34.60 is it possible to live without sinning? 00:05:34.63\00:05:36.50 All right, another important question. 00:05:36.53\00:05:38.23 Is it possible for a person to live without sinning? 00:05:38.27\00:05:42.70 Who first tempted Adam and Eve to sin? 00:05:42.74\00:05:46.07 Satan. The devil. 00:05:46.11\00:05:48.04 Does the devil still tempt people to sin? 00:05:48.08\00:05:50.21 Yes. 00:05:50.25\00:05:52.15 When the angel appeared to Mary, and he said 00:05:52.18\00:05:54.98 "You're going to have a son 00:05:55.02\00:05:56.35 and you will call His name Jesus 00:05:56.38\00:05:57.99 because He will save His people 00:05:58.02\00:06:01.86 from their sins." 00:06:01.89\00:06:04.43 Do we all believe the devil has the power 00:06:04.46\00:06:06.19 to tempt us to sin? 00:06:06.23\00:06:07.63 Yes. 00:06:07.66\00:06:09.00 Do you believe that Jesus has the power 00:06:09.03\00:06:11.10 to save you from sin? 00:06:11.13\00:06:12.63 Yes. 00:06:12.67\00:06:15.07 Who's more powerful, Jesus or the devil? 00:06:15.10\00:06:17.21 Jesus. 00:06:17.24\00:06:18.57 Now, if you're walking with the Lord and you fall, 00:06:18.61\00:06:21.44 He'll forgive you. 00:06:21.48\00:06:22.88 But you should always try 00:06:22.91\00:06:24.75 as a Christian to be like Christ. 00:06:24.78\00:06:28.22 You see, a Christian is not a follower of Christians, 00:06:28.25\00:06:30.79 a Christian is a follower of Jesus. 00:06:30.82\00:06:32.39 Was Jesus perfect? Yes. 00:06:32.42\00:06:35.59 Yeah, Bible says He did no sin. 00:06:35.62\00:06:38.73 And so if you're following a perfect master, 00:06:38.76\00:06:40.80 you will always become more and more like Jesus 00:06:40.83\00:06:43.77 as you follow Him. 00:06:43.80\00:06:45.70 But if you say, "Oh, well, 00:06:45.73\00:06:47.07 we're all sinners and so why try" 00:06:47.10\00:06:50.01 your standard of life is gonna go down. 00:06:50.04\00:06:52.74 So you always want to seek to be like Jesus 00:06:52.77\00:06:55.34 and believe that He can keep you from falling. 00:06:55.38\00:06:57.91 That's what it says in the Book of Jude. 00:06:57.95\00:06:59.61 He is able to keep you from falling. 00:06:59.65\00:07:01.75 He can save you from your sins. 00:07:01.78\00:07:03.79 Amen. All right. 00:07:03.82\00:07:05.45 Our next question that we have. 00:07:05.49\00:07:07.49 Hi, my name is Ally, and I'm from Texas. 00:07:07.52\00:07:10.19 And my Bible question is, 00:07:10.23\00:07:11.93 why did they choose a lamb to represent Jesus? 00:07:11.96\00:07:14.10 All right. 00:07:14.13\00:07:15.46 The question there was, 00:07:15.50\00:07:16.83 why does the Bible use a lamb to represent Jesus? 00:07:16.87\00:07:19.73 You can see she's probably on a farm 00:07:19.77\00:07:21.70 and there're some goats and some animals around. 00:07:21.74\00:07:23.71 But why lamb? Why does that symbolize Jesus? 00:07:23.74\00:07:25.67 That sounded like the goat asked the question too 00:07:25.71\00:07:28.24 halfway through. 00:07:28.28\00:07:31.15 Well, you know, lambs, it's interesting, 00:07:31.18\00:07:33.72 God used several shepherds to become great leaders. 00:07:33.75\00:07:38.69 Abel, Abel was a shepherd, Moses was a shepherd, 00:07:38.72\00:07:44.79 Joseph was a shepherd, Abraham was a shepherd, 00:07:44.83\00:07:47.10 Jacob was a shepherd, David was a shepherd. 00:07:47.13\00:07:50.97 God taught those shepherds how to care for people 00:07:51.00\00:07:54.77 by taking care of sheep because sheep, 00:07:54.80\00:07:57.01 domestic modern sheep are kind of helpless 00:07:57.04\00:08:00.18 without someone to help protect them, 00:08:00.21\00:08:02.08 and guide them, and feed them. 00:08:02.11\00:08:04.45 And so sheep have been domesticated 00:08:04.48\00:08:07.48 for thousands of years. 00:08:07.52\00:08:09.22 So they're very dependent, they're often innocent. 00:08:09.25\00:08:12.09 You don't hear too often about a person on the news, 00:08:12.12\00:08:14.82 "Someone was attacked and killed by a lamb today." 00:08:14.86\00:08:17.93 They're usually pretty gentle animals. 00:08:17.96\00:08:22.16 And so God picked this gentle innocent animal 00:08:22.20\00:08:26.10 to be a symbol of Jesus, who is the Lamb of God 00:08:26.13\00:08:29.44 that takes away the sin of the world, 00:08:29.47\00:08:31.11 which we have a story about tonight. 00:08:31.14\00:08:33.88 All right, well, with that, Pastor Doug, 00:08:33.91\00:08:35.24 we'll turn the time over to you a very important lesson. 00:08:35.28\00:08:37.95 Thank you so much, Pastor Ross. 00:08:37.98\00:08:40.12 And thank you everybody, 00:08:40.15\00:08:41.68 both here in the local church here in Michigan, 00:08:41.72\00:08:44.45 as well as our friends who are watching 00:08:44.49\00:08:46.49 via the internet and others who may be looking 00:08:46.52\00:08:49.22 in on television 00:08:49.26\00:08:50.66 to our Amazing Adventure program. 00:08:50.69\00:08:52.63 Our lesson tonight is talking about the only lifeboat. 00:08:52.66\00:08:57.67 And so God has a lifeboat 00:08:57.70\00:09:00.94 by which He is going to save us. 00:09:00.97\00:09:04.17 Now, remember our memory verse, 00:09:04.21\00:09:06.84 "Nor is there salvation in any other, 00:09:06.88\00:09:10.11 but there is no other name under heaven 00:09:10.15\00:09:12.25 given among men by which we must be saved." 00:09:12.28\00:09:16.69 So years ago, back in 1914, they built one of the most 00:09:16.72\00:09:22.29 beautiful ships that'd ever been built. 00:09:22.32\00:09:23.86 It was the biggest ship in the world at the time. 00:09:23.89\00:09:26.23 You know, the name of it was... 00:09:26.26\00:09:27.60 Titanic. The Titanic. 00:09:27.63\00:09:29.63 In my office in California, 00:09:29.66\00:09:31.53 I've actually got a piece of coal 00:09:31.57\00:09:34.47 that was on the Titanic that they recovered 00:09:34.50\00:09:36.71 from the wreck. 00:09:36.74\00:09:38.11 That's 13,000 feet below the water, 00:09:38.14\00:09:40.81 they brought up a bunch of things 00:09:40.84\00:09:42.18 and someone had some coal. 00:09:42.21\00:09:44.01 A friend of mine bought a little piece of the coal 00:09:44.05\00:09:45.91 from the original Titanic and they gave... 00:09:45.95\00:09:48.32 He send it to me as a gift. 00:09:48.35\00:09:50.39 And it's a reminder that even though that ship 00:09:50.42\00:09:54.09 had some of the very best 00:09:54.12\00:09:55.46 and most modern technology of mankind, 00:09:55.49\00:09:59.53 they said it was unsinkable. 00:09:59.56\00:10:01.46 They said we don't need 00:10:01.50\00:10:02.83 very many lifeboats on the Titanic 00:10:02.86\00:10:04.43 because we built it 00:10:04.47\00:10:05.83 with 16 waterproof compartments. 00:10:05.87\00:10:09.34 And so even if it gets punctured here or there, 00:10:09.37\00:10:13.07 it'll never sink. 00:10:13.11\00:10:14.64 So they didn't put enough lifeboats on the ship. 00:10:14.68\00:10:17.11 Well, you know the story. 00:10:17.15\00:10:19.21 Four days into the first voyage, 00:10:19.25\00:10:22.22 beautiful calm water at night. 00:10:22.25\00:10:24.92 They were going too fast, maybe not paying attention, 00:10:24.95\00:10:28.66 having too much fun partying on the boat, 00:10:28.69\00:10:31.43 and they ran into an iceberg that cut the boat 00:10:31.46\00:10:34.03 open from the bow, made a rip about 300 feet back 00:10:34.06\00:10:37.57 and water began to pour into all the different compartments 00:10:37.60\00:10:41.67 and they realized they didn't have enough lifeboats. 00:10:41.70\00:10:44.41 The sad thing is, a lot of people 00:10:44.44\00:10:46.47 did not want to get off the ship 00:10:46.51\00:10:48.14 into the lifeboats they did have, 00:10:48.18\00:10:50.25 so some of the first lifeboats that pushed off, 00:10:50.28\00:10:52.95 were almost empty. 00:10:52.98\00:10:55.65 And then it was too late when people realized 00:10:55.68\00:10:57.62 the boat was going to sink. 00:10:57.65\00:10:59.82 And everybody was trying to crowd into the lifeboats 00:10:59.85\00:11:02.32 and most of the people on the Titanic drowned 00:11:02.36\00:11:06.96 because they were not thinking 00:11:07.00\00:11:08.66 about the importance of the lifeboats. 00:11:08.70\00:11:11.07 You know, the Bible tells us about a lifeboat 00:11:11.10\00:11:13.87 that God made back early when He destroyed the world 00:11:13.90\00:11:17.97 because of their sins, there was one lifeboat 00:11:18.01\00:11:20.48 who was the captain of that boat? 00:11:20.51\00:11:21.84 Noah. 00:11:21.88\00:11:23.21 Noah, and the boat was called the what? 00:11:23.24\00:11:25.18 Ark. Noah's Ark. 00:11:25.21\00:11:27.28 And there was only one boat. 00:11:27.32\00:11:30.32 And yeah, all had to be on that boat 00:11:30.35\00:11:32.19 if you wanted to survive. 00:11:32.22\00:11:33.56 Now Noah and his family came, 00:11:33.59\00:11:34.92 most people didn't get on the lifeboat. 00:11:34.96\00:11:37.26 But Noah not only took his family, 00:11:37.29\00:11:38.69 what else did he take? 00:11:38.73\00:11:40.06 Animals. He took some animals. 00:11:40.10\00:11:41.73 You know, I just got a signal. 00:11:41.76\00:11:43.10 I think we've got a guest visitor here tonight. 00:11:43.13\00:11:45.93 And so if I'm not mistaken, yep, sure enough, 00:11:45.97\00:11:49.40 I've not even met this guest, 00:11:49.44\00:11:51.24 but we just had someone come from Noah's Ark. 00:11:51.27\00:11:56.21 Hi, is it Seth? Yes. 00:11:56.24\00:11:58.45 And Seth, what do we have here? 00:11:58.48\00:12:00.32 This is a Chinchilla and his name is 00:12:00.35\00:12:03.02 Mr. Chinchilla Man. 00:12:03.05\00:12:04.49 Mr. Chinchilla Man, 00:12:04.52\00:12:05.85 very creative like Monty Python. 00:12:05.89\00:12:07.26 Oh, yes. Yeah, got a lot of funny names. 00:12:07.29\00:12:10.16 So he's a Chinchilla. 00:12:10.19\00:12:11.53 These guys they live near the volcanoes and stuff 00:12:11.56\00:12:14.00 so they got really soft fur, 00:12:14.03\00:12:15.70 one of the softest furs of any mammal so... 00:12:15.73\00:12:18.13 Do they work hard to keep their coats clean? 00:12:18.17\00:12:20.00 Yes, they do. 00:12:20.04\00:12:21.37 They actually will roll around in volcanic ash to try 00:12:21.40\00:12:24.61 and keep their coats clean. 00:12:24.64\00:12:26.51 You know, that's a good lesson for us to do 00:12:26.54\00:12:28.98 everything we can to keep our coats clean. 00:12:29.01\00:12:31.18 Jesus gives us robes of righteousness 00:12:31.21\00:12:33.05 and we don't want to get them dirty. 00:12:33.08\00:12:34.78 So can I pet him? Absolutely. 00:12:34.82\00:12:37.15 Oh, they're so soft. 00:12:37.19\00:12:38.75 Is it okay if I have a couple of kids come up or maybe... 00:12:38.79\00:12:43.39 Now raise your hands if you have not... 00:12:43.43\00:12:46.03 If you've not been up here before. 00:12:46.06\00:12:47.40 All right, so who are some people? 00:12:47.43\00:12:49.73 I was gonna bring Isaac, you want to come up? 00:12:49.76\00:12:51.93 Yes. All right, come on up here. 00:12:51.97\00:12:53.30 Let me see. I'll get two or three. 00:12:53.34\00:12:55.00 I'll let you come. You've not been up yet? 00:12:55.04\00:12:56.67 No. 00:12:56.71\00:12:58.04 Well, there's other things you hang tight. 00:12:58.07\00:12:59.41 We got more happening here. Okay. 00:12:59.44\00:13:01.88 Mr. Chinchilla. 00:13:01.91\00:13:03.88 Now, is that the softest thing you've ever felt? 00:13:03.91\00:13:06.01 Yes. 00:13:06.05\00:13:07.58 So tell us about some of their habits. 00:13:07.62\00:13:09.38 What do they do? 00:13:09.42\00:13:10.92 Well, Chinchillas, they really like to eat the grass 00:13:10.95\00:13:14.59 that's on the mountains. 00:13:14.62\00:13:15.96 So they'll climb up and they like to keep it cool 00:13:15.99\00:13:18.29 because they got this big thick fur, 00:13:18.33\00:13:20.20 and they like to hang out with other Chinchillas, 00:13:20.23\00:13:23.20 so you'll see them chatter with each other. 00:13:23.23\00:13:25.47 And they're nocturnal, so they actually, you know, 00:13:25.50\00:13:27.94 kind of like it more at the nighttime 00:13:27.97\00:13:29.30 as opposed to daytime. 00:13:29.34\00:13:30.67 So he's just waking up right now? 00:13:30.71\00:13:32.04 Oh, yes. He's like... 00:13:32.07\00:13:33.41 Do they not eat fingers? Well, thank you. 00:13:39.01\00:13:40.35 Let's all thank Seth for showing us Mr. Chinchilla. 00:13:40.38\00:13:42.58 All right, kids, thanks. 00:13:46.52\00:13:49.76 Never dreamed we'd actually have a visitor from the ark. 00:13:49.79\00:13:53.40 So Noah brought two of all of the unclean animals, 00:13:53.43\00:13:58.83 clean animals were brought on the arks by seven 00:13:58.87\00:14:01.74 and after all the animals 00:14:01.77\00:14:03.24 were on the ark they went in just before the door shut. 00:14:03.27\00:14:07.38 Noah stood in the door of the ark 00:14:07.41\00:14:09.81 and he said to any of the people, 00:14:09.84\00:14:12.95 "Don't you wanna be saved? 00:14:12.98\00:14:14.82 Now is the time." 00:14:14.85\00:14:16.48 And the people said, "Well, 00:14:16.52\00:14:17.85 Noah, you've been talking about rain for 120 years 00:14:17.89\00:14:20.02 and we've never seen it rain 00:14:20.06\00:14:21.39 and there's no clouds in the sky 00:14:21.42\00:14:22.86 and we're not so sure it's gonna rain. 00:14:22.89\00:14:24.73 Maybe when we see the clouds, then we'll get on the ark." 00:14:24.76\00:14:29.30 But when they waited for the clouds, 00:14:29.33\00:14:30.67 it was too late. 00:14:30.70\00:14:32.27 He appealed and he asked the people to come 00:14:32.30\00:14:34.60 but they didn't come and finally Noah 00:14:34.64\00:14:36.20 and his family went inside. 00:14:36.24\00:14:38.17 The door of the ark was closed. 00:14:38.21\00:14:41.51 And then for seven days, everyone made fun of Noah. 00:14:41.54\00:14:44.75 But then the rain came and the thunder began to crack 00:14:44.78\00:14:49.38 and the clouds gathered and water began to pour 00:14:49.42\00:14:53.02 in great cataracts from the sky, 00:14:53.05\00:14:55.22 and it began to explode out of the earth, 00:14:55.26\00:14:58.33 and there was this terrible flood 00:14:58.36\00:14:59.83 that changed the whole planet. 00:14:59.86\00:15:01.56 And the only ones that survived were the ones in the lifeboat. 00:15:01.60\00:15:06.70 You know who the lifeboat is in the last days? 00:15:06.74\00:15:09.20 Jesus. Jesus. 00:15:09.24\00:15:10.77 "Only those in Christ..." 00:15:10.81\00:15:13.07 the Bible says that "will be saved." 00:15:13.11\00:15:15.14 We must be in Jesus, we hide in Him. 00:15:15.18\00:15:17.71 He is our Savior, He is our lifeboat. 00:15:17.75\00:15:19.98 So we're gonna go through our lesson and talk about 00:15:20.02\00:15:22.12 how do we give our hearts to the Lord? 00:15:22.15\00:15:24.05 How do we get on this lifeboat? 00:15:24.09\00:15:25.82 First question, what has God done for us 00:15:25.85\00:15:29.39 to make a lifeboat for us? 00:15:29.42\00:15:32.03 Now we've read this verse before, 00:15:32.06\00:15:33.63 John 3:16. 00:15:33.66\00:15:35.20 You want to say it with me? 00:15:35.23\00:15:36.87 "For God so loved the world 00:15:36.90\00:15:40.04 that He gave His only begotten Son, 00:15:40.07\00:15:43.81 that whoever believes in Him 00:15:43.84\00:15:46.61 should not perish but have everlasting life." 00:15:46.64\00:15:51.85 Now we read those verses, you know those words, 00:15:51.88\00:15:54.48 but what does it mean when it says "He gave His Son." 00:15:54.52\00:15:57.92 It was very painful for God to lose His Son. 00:15:57.95\00:16:03.06 Years ago 1937, there was a man named John Griffith. 00:16:03.09\00:16:09.03 He operated a railroad draw bridge 00:16:09.06\00:16:11.67 over the Mississippi River. 00:16:11.70\00:16:13.44 Most of the time they kept the railroad bridge up 00:16:13.47\00:16:16.37 until he got the whistle that a train was coming. 00:16:16.40\00:16:19.11 He signaled back, bring the train along, 00:16:19.14\00:16:21.71 he would lower the bridge 00:16:21.74\00:16:23.08 so the train wouldn't have to slow down 00:16:23.11\00:16:24.45 cause they needed to keep the bridge up 00:16:24.48\00:16:25.98 for all the ships and the boats 00:16:26.01\00:16:27.35 to go through on the Mississippi. 00:16:27.38\00:16:30.22 One day John brought his son Gregory with him to work, 00:16:30.25\00:16:33.42 his young boy about five or six years old. 00:16:33.46\00:16:36.02 And they were having lunch together 00:16:36.06\00:16:38.53 and he was showing him the machines 00:16:38.56\00:16:40.43 and he wanted to see how daddy worked. 00:16:40.46\00:16:41.96 And just then he heard the whistle 00:16:42.00\00:16:44.50 and the radio go say "Train was coming." 00:16:44.53\00:16:46.87 "So okay, you sit tight, 00:16:46.90\00:16:48.24 and you can watch the train go by." 00:16:48.27\00:16:50.51 The father went up and he radioed back, 00:16:50.54\00:16:52.47 "Tell the train to come on through." 00:16:52.51\00:16:53.84 It's the Memphis special 400 people on board and 00:16:53.88\00:16:58.71 "You don't need to slow down" 00:16:58.75\00:17:00.08 he said "I'm here, I'll lower the bridge." 00:17:00.12\00:17:01.88 So the train started coming and the father was up there, 00:17:01.92\00:17:04.32 he hit the switch and the drawbridge machine 00:17:04.35\00:17:06.86 and the cable started to lower. 00:17:06.89\00:17:08.69 And then he heard "Help, daddy." 00:17:08.72\00:17:11.49 And he looked down at the machine. 00:17:11.53\00:17:14.00 And he was horrified to see his son Greg 00:17:14.03\00:17:16.97 had not listened to him. 00:17:17.00\00:17:18.33 He got up and he went to watch the machine move. 00:17:18.37\00:17:20.87 And he didn't realize there would be a cable 00:17:20.90\00:17:22.67 going behind him 00:17:22.70\00:17:24.27 and the cable had a broken piece of cable 00:17:24.31\00:17:26.64 that was like a little hook. 00:17:26.68\00:17:28.14 It grabbed his clothes and it began to pull him up 00:17:28.18\00:17:30.95 towards the machinery. 00:17:30.98\00:17:33.21 Gears, pulleys, the father saw the train whistling 00:17:33.25\00:17:38.85 and it was coming towards him and he thought, "What do I do? 00:17:38.89\00:17:42.32 If I stopped the drawbridge that train will never be 00:17:42.36\00:17:45.06 able to stop in time. 00:17:45.09\00:17:47.40 The cars and all those people 00:17:47.43\00:17:49.66 are gonna go crash off into the Mississippi 00:17:49.70\00:17:51.80 and many will drown. 00:17:51.83\00:17:54.17 If I don't, my son will be lost." 00:17:54.20\00:17:58.14 He had a terrible decision to make. 00:17:58.17\00:18:00.94 He decided that he would sacrifice his son 00:18:00.98\00:18:04.65 to save all the people and he let the bridge go down 00:18:04.68\00:18:06.92 and his son died. 00:18:06.95\00:18:08.28 He had to listen to his son say "Daddy, help me." 00:18:08.32\00:18:10.22 And he couldn't save his son. 00:18:10.25\00:18:12.95 And then when the people went by in the train, 00:18:12.99\00:18:15.16 there was a glass booth there 00:18:15.19\00:18:16.52 where they could see the operator, 00:18:16.56\00:18:17.93 they could see John Griffith, 00:18:17.96\00:18:19.43 and all the people were waving to him 00:18:19.46\00:18:21.33 as they went by. 00:18:21.36\00:18:22.96 And they didn't realize that he just gave his son 00:18:23.00\00:18:26.40 so that they could live. 00:18:26.43\00:18:28.54 So many people in this world don't realize 00:18:28.57\00:18:30.87 how much Jesus gave so they could live. 00:18:30.91\00:18:34.18 And He says, "If you love Me, then give your heart to Me." 00:18:34.21\00:18:37.45 He's happy to die for you because He loves you. 00:18:37.48\00:18:41.28 Bible tells us that the life preserver is Christ. 00:18:41.32\00:18:45.15 You can actually read in Jude 1, 00:18:45.19\00:18:47.26 "We are preserved in Christ." 00:18:47.29\00:18:50.76 Jesus is our life preserver who saves us. 00:18:50.79\00:18:53.56 So how much does Jesus love us? 00:18:53.60\00:18:56.23 Does He really love us that much? 00:18:56.26\00:18:57.60 Does He love me personally, you might wonder 00:18:57.63\00:18:59.90 "I know He loves the whole world, 00:18:59.93\00:19:01.67 but I'm not a very good boy or girl. 00:19:01.70\00:19:03.24 Maybe He doesn't really love me that much 00:19:03.27\00:19:04.97 'cause I'm pretty bad." 00:19:05.01\00:19:06.98 I'll tell you. 00:19:07.01\00:19:08.34 If you knew me when I was your age, 00:19:08.38\00:19:10.01 I was a real scoundrel. 00:19:10.05\00:19:11.85 I used to steal. 00:19:11.88\00:19:13.92 My grandmother caught me one day. 00:19:13.95\00:19:15.72 I stole a bow and arrow from a drug store. 00:19:15.75\00:19:18.99 And she said, "I don't know how you got it 00:19:19.02\00:19:20.36 out of the store in your pants." 00:19:20.39\00:19:22.29 But somehow, you know, under my clothes, 00:19:22.32\00:19:23.66 I hid the whole bow and arrow. 00:19:23.69\00:19:25.49 She took me to the police station 00:19:25.53\00:19:26.86 'cause she... 00:19:26.90\00:19:28.23 I had such a problem of stealing. 00:19:28.26\00:19:29.90 She said, "You better put the fear in him." 00:19:29.93\00:19:33.23 They said "If you don't stop stealing, Dougie, 00:19:33.27\00:19:35.60 we're gonna put you in jail, 00:19:35.64\00:19:37.51 and you'll eat bread and water." 00:19:37.54\00:19:39.21 I said, "I don't care. I like bread and water." 00:19:39.24\00:19:42.28 And my grandmother whispered to the policeman 00:19:42.31\00:19:44.65 "Tell him he's only gonna eat canned peas." 00:19:44.68\00:19:48.08 Oh, I hated peas. 00:19:48.12\00:19:49.45 And the policeman said 00:19:49.48\00:19:50.82 "All you're gonna get is water and peas." 00:19:50.85\00:19:52.19 I said "Oh, I'm gonna stop stealing." 00:19:52.22\00:19:55.02 I didn't want to steal anymore, but I was a... 00:19:55.06\00:19:57.06 I got in a lot of trouble when I was a little boy. 00:19:57.09\00:20:00.46 But, you know, I came to realize Jesus 00:20:00.50\00:20:02.70 loves me so much, 00:20:02.73\00:20:04.40 He would have died just for me. 00:20:04.43\00:20:06.33 He loves you individually so much 00:20:06.37\00:20:08.87 He would die just for you. 00:20:08.90\00:20:10.47 The Bible says in Romans 5:8, 00:20:10.51\00:20:13.01 "God demonstrates His own love towards us, 00:20:13.04\00:20:15.81 in while we were sinners." 00:20:15.84\00:20:17.18 Jesus died. 00:20:17.21\00:20:18.55 He didn't say when you get to be good enough, 00:20:18.58\00:20:20.15 then I'll die for you. 00:20:20.18\00:20:21.75 He loves you. 00:20:21.78\00:20:23.59 You know that song Jesus loves me. 00:20:23.62\00:20:25.49 I'll tell you my verse. 00:20:25.52\00:20:27.22 Jesus loves me when I'm good, when I do the things I should, 00:20:27.26\00:20:30.93 Jesus loves me when I'm bad, even though it makes Him sad. 00:20:30.96\00:20:35.20 Yes, Jesus loves me. Good or bad, He loves you. 00:20:35.23\00:20:37.93 Nothing separates you from the love of God. 00:20:37.97\00:20:41.20 He says, "Yes, I've loved you with an everlasting love." 00:20:41.24\00:20:44.97 God loves you more than you love anything. 00:20:45.01\00:20:46.81 It's so hard for us to even understand. 00:20:46.84\00:20:49.28 He says, "You are precious in My sight." 00:20:49.31\00:20:52.25 "There is no created thing, " Romans 8:38, 00:20:52.28\00:20:55.22 "that is able to separate us 00:20:55.25\00:20:56.92 from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, 00:20:56.95\00:20:59.09 our Lord." 00:20:59.12\00:21:00.56 Someone asked a question about a sheep. 00:21:00.59\00:21:02.39 I'll tell you a story. 00:21:02.42\00:21:04.26 In Scotland years ago, there was a lighthouse keeper. 00:21:04.29\00:21:07.96 And his job was to keep the lighthouse light burning. 00:21:08.00\00:21:11.10 Every now and then... 00:21:11.13\00:21:12.47 the lighthouse was over 100 feet high. 00:21:12.50\00:21:14.70 And every now and then it was right on the coast 00:21:14.74\00:21:16.87 and there were some fields 00:21:16.91\00:21:18.24 where some sheep would graze nearby. 00:21:18.27\00:21:20.11 And he was out on top of the lighthouse one day, 00:21:20.14\00:21:25.21 there's a little railing that walks around the top 00:21:25.25\00:21:27.65 so he could wash the windows 00:21:27.68\00:21:29.02 and keep the windows clean on the lighthouse. 00:21:29.05\00:21:31.02 And he was walking around and he was cleaning the windows 00:21:31.05\00:21:33.09 and he leaned back, and he didn't realize 00:21:33.12\00:21:35.16 the railing had gotten so rusty from the salt air 00:21:35.19\00:21:37.86 had corroded it 00:21:37.89\00:21:40.23 that it broke and he fell. 00:21:40.26\00:21:44.07 And as he's falling through the air he thought, 00:21:44.10\00:21:45.90 "Oh, that's the end of my life." 00:21:45.93\00:21:48.37 Then he woke up, and he thought, 00:21:48.40\00:21:51.21 "I must be in heaven." 00:21:51.24\00:21:52.67 He saw clouds floating by the blue sky. 00:21:52.71\00:21:56.71 And then he thought, "If I'm in heaven, 00:21:56.75\00:21:59.01 why does my back hurt so much." 00:21:59.05\00:22:02.32 And he kind of shook himself awake 00:22:02.35\00:22:03.79 and he realized he didn't die. 00:22:03.82\00:22:06.69 He landed on a sheep. 00:22:06.72\00:22:11.99 But the sheep died. 00:22:12.03\00:22:15.23 And he felt so bad. 00:22:15.26\00:22:17.60 That big, fat, fluffy sheep broke his fall 00:22:17.63\00:22:22.34 and so the man lived. 00:22:22.37\00:22:24.31 You know, Jesus tells us or the Bible tells us that 00:22:24.34\00:22:26.57 Jesus is the Lamb of God. 00:22:26.61\00:22:27.94 You read in John 1:29, John the Baptist, 00:22:27.98\00:22:31.71 when he introduced Jesus, he said, 00:22:31.75\00:22:34.12 "Behold, the Lamb of God 00:22:34.15\00:22:36.58 that takes away the sin of the world." 00:22:36.62\00:22:38.99 Jesus came to take away our sin. 00:22:39.02\00:22:41.42 Now, how exactly does that work? 00:22:41.46\00:22:44.16 All right. 00:22:44.19\00:22:45.86 So, here you got Jesus, here you got sin, 00:22:45.89\00:22:51.33 here you got you and me. 00:22:51.37\00:22:52.80 So Bible says, 00:22:52.83\00:22:54.17 "Though our sins be like scarlet." 00:22:54.20\00:22:55.94 So I'll just put a little bit of it in here 00:22:55.97\00:22:58.21 and the more you put in here 00:22:58.24\00:23:01.28 you can see it's starting to turn, 00:23:01.31\00:23:03.41 it gets red. 00:23:03.45\00:23:07.18 So sin, it contaminates and it pollutes our lives. 00:23:07.22\00:23:12.75 But no matter what happens, 00:23:12.79\00:23:14.76 Jesus was tempted by the devil many times but... 00:23:14.79\00:23:19.89 You notice, He never sinned. 00:23:19.93\00:23:23.00 The devil tried and tried to tempt Jesus, 00:23:23.03\00:23:25.10 but it wouldn't work. 00:23:25.13\00:23:27.04 But when you and I get sin in us, you know, 00:23:27.07\00:23:30.71 it just, it makes us worse. 00:23:30.74\00:23:35.14 More sin, darker it gets. 00:23:35.18\00:23:39.31 But if you put the sin in Jesus... 00:23:39.35\00:23:42.42 Sin... 00:23:47.12\00:23:48.46 Bible says, God is not tempted with evil. 00:23:48.49\00:23:50.63 Every good and perfect gift is from God. 00:23:50.66\00:23:52.86 God doesn't sin. Makes us worse. 00:23:52.89\00:23:57.27 But the solution is, I wonder what happens if you put Jesus. 00:23:57.30\00:24:02.40 Oh, no, there's not near enough sin 00:24:02.44\00:24:03.77 in here right now let's... 00:24:03.81\00:24:05.44 I want you to see then. 00:24:05.47\00:24:06.81 But what happens if we accept Jesus 00:24:12.61\00:24:14.75 into our lives? 00:24:14.78\00:24:17.75 While we were yet sinners, Jesus loved us, 00:24:17.79\00:24:19.82 He comes into our lives and He purifies us, 00:24:19.85\00:24:24.76 and someday what is Jesus 00:24:24.79\00:24:26.33 gonna do to the sin in the world? 00:24:26.36\00:24:31.00 And the whole universe is gonna be clean. 00:24:31.03\00:24:34.10 And if you use that, 00:24:34.14\00:24:35.47 that will clean your clothes too. 00:24:35.50\00:24:36.84 All right, thank you very much. He said $20. 00:29:21.92\00:29:26.70 Well, he would mow lawns for 50 cents. 00:29:26.73\00:29:30.07 So how many lawns that he have to mow? 00:29:30.10\00:29:32.10 Forty. And I played the flute. 00:32:05.15\00:32:07.76 And I was telling him about Jesus. 00:32:07.79\00:32:10.73 He said, "I'm not so sure I believe in Jesus." 00:32:10.76\00:32:13.03 He said, "I believe in, 00:32:13.06\00:32:14.40 you know, reincarnation and these." 00:32:14.43\00:32:15.76 I said, "No, Jesus is real." 00:32:15.80\00:32:17.13 I said, "Doug, I'll prove it to you." 00:32:17.17\00:32:18.97 He said, "How you going to prove it to me? 00:32:19.00\00:32:20.77 I said, "Well, we're trying 00:32:20.80\00:32:22.14 to get some money to eat, right?" 00:32:22.17\00:32:24.31 So he said, "Yeah, I said, "How much money do we need?" 00:32:24.34\00:32:27.91 He said, "Well, it'd be great if we got $4. 00:32:27.94\00:32:29.98 We could probably eat in a restaurant 00:32:30.01\00:32:31.55 instead of just going to the supermarket." 00:32:31.58\00:32:33.01 Back then you could eat $2 00:32:33.05\00:32:34.78 you could buy a meal in a restaurant. 00:32:34.82\00:32:37.32 And so I know it's amazing, isn't it? 00:32:37.35\00:32:40.69 Taco Bell, you're still pretty close. 00:32:40.72\00:32:42.62 So I said, "I tell you what, Doug, 00:32:42.66\00:32:45.46 I'm going to ask Jesus to give us $4 00:32:45.49\00:32:48.50 and He's going to prove that He's real." 00:32:48.53\00:32:51.10 I had so much faith back then. I believed. 00:32:51.13\00:32:54.57 So we saw lady walking up the street in Palm Springs 00:32:54.60\00:32:57.61 and she was a dignified looking lady, 00:32:57.64\00:32:59.87 and we started to play, I played my flute, 00:32:59.91\00:33:01.68 he played the guitar. 00:33:01.71\00:33:03.04 She stopped for a moment to listen. 00:33:03.08\00:33:04.41 And then when we got done playing, 00:33:04.45\00:33:06.61 we said, "Miss, would you have any spare change? 00:33:06.65\00:33:08.68 We'd like to get something to eat." 00:33:08.72\00:33:10.05 She looked a little surprised by our question. 00:33:10.09\00:33:11.42 She said, "Normally, I wouldn't do this. 00:33:11.45\00:33:15.32 But you're both about the age of my son." 00:33:15.36\00:33:19.73 And so she reached in her purse, and she said, 00:33:19.76\00:33:21.90 "How would $4 help?" 00:33:21.93\00:33:24.80 And Doug looked at me. 00:33:24.83\00:33:26.77 And after that Doug started praying to Jesus. 00:33:26.80\00:33:30.97 And we, I saw so many miracles, 00:33:31.01\00:33:33.27 when you pray, things happen, 00:33:33.31\00:33:34.98 sometimes the answer doesn't come right away. 00:33:35.01\00:33:36.61 But you look back and you say, ah, 00:33:36.64\00:33:38.28 God answered our prayer. 00:33:38.31\00:33:39.91 God has answered thousands 00:33:39.95\00:33:41.32 and thousands of prayers for me. 00:33:41.35\00:33:42.82 Believe, so what's the most important 00:33:42.85\00:33:44.29 prayer you can pray? 00:33:44.32\00:33:46.45 Lord, forgive my sins, accept me as a child 00:33:46.49\00:33:51.43 and give me the gift of everlasting life 00:33:51.46\00:33:53.53 and He will do it. 00:33:53.56\00:33:55.33 Why don't more people ask for it? 00:33:55.36\00:33:57.37 He wants to give it to them. 00:33:57.40\00:33:59.73 And why do we love the Lord? 00:33:59.77\00:34:02.50 "We love Him 'cause He first loved us." 00:34:02.54\00:34:05.47 When you look at the cross 00:34:05.51\00:34:07.28 and you see how much He loves you, 00:34:07.31\00:34:09.94 it makes you want to love Him back. 00:34:09.98\00:34:11.98 The Bible says, 00:34:12.01\00:34:13.35 "The goodness of God leads us to repentance." 00:34:13.38\00:34:16.72 When we see His goodness, we become aware of our badness 00:34:16.75\00:34:19.62 and then we're sorry. 00:34:19.65\00:34:21.72 Now, it's important that you know 00:34:21.76\00:34:24.83 who knows what repentance means. 00:34:24.86\00:34:27.30 Repentance means being sorry for your sins 00:34:27.33\00:34:30.80 and a willingness to stop. 00:34:30.83\00:34:32.17 For example, like, 00:34:32.20\00:34:33.54 if I'm walking in this direction 00:34:33.57\00:34:36.14 and I realize that I'm going the wrong way. 00:34:36.17\00:34:38.61 See, I went to military school. 00:34:38.64\00:34:40.28 They taught us how to do about-face. 00:34:40.31\00:34:42.64 And then you walk this way. 00:34:42.68\00:34:44.01 Repentance is when you turn around. 00:34:44.05\00:34:45.85 And so repentance means you change directions. 00:34:45.88\00:34:50.85 Yeah, and you're on the road to destruction. 00:34:50.89\00:34:55.16 You change directions and you follow the Lord. 00:34:55.19\00:34:59.16 So telling the Lord you're sorry. 00:34:59.19\00:35:01.03 How many of you remember every sin 00:35:01.06\00:35:02.46 you've ever committed? 00:35:02.50\00:35:04.83 Well, not too many of you can remember all your... 00:35:04.87\00:35:06.84 No, you don't remember all your sins. 00:35:06.87\00:35:09.04 Most of you can't remember all the sins from one day. 00:35:09.07\00:35:12.71 So do you have to remember and confess all of your sins? 00:35:12.74\00:35:17.11 The Bible says, "If we confess our sins, 00:35:17.15\00:35:19.61 He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, 00:35:19.65\00:35:22.58 and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 00:35:22.62\00:35:26.32 But who remembers all their sins? 00:35:26.35\00:35:28.32 So what do you do? I turned it off. 00:39:35.04\00:39:37.21 I tried to stop it, turned it on. 00:39:37.24\00:39:39.84 And I thought it's a shoeshine machine, 00:39:39.87\00:39:42.61 I should shine some shoes. 00:39:42.64\00:39:45.15 So I tiptoed into my father's bedroom. 00:39:45.18\00:39:48.05 He was still snoring. 00:39:48.08\00:39:50.22 And I grabbed his black shoes 00:39:50.25\00:39:51.59 that he kicked off there by the bed. 00:39:51.62\00:39:53.46 And I brought him out and I shut the door. 00:39:53.49\00:39:55.62 And I was going to buff them and I thought 00:39:55.66\00:39:57.19 I'm almost sure that dad's got shoe polish 00:39:57.23\00:40:00.00 in the bathroom under the sink. 00:40:00.03\00:40:01.73 I'll use shoe polish. 00:40:01.76\00:40:03.57 So I went in the bathroom, I left the shoes there. 00:40:03.60\00:40:05.40 Went in the bathroom under the sink sure enough 00:40:05.43\00:40:07.14 there was a bottle of shoe polish. 00:40:07.17\00:40:08.97 Now this was not the kind of little can where it's wax. 00:40:09.00\00:40:11.91 This was the liquid shoe polish 00:40:11.94\00:40:14.24 that had an applicator on top, 00:40:14.28\00:40:16.21 but I didn't understand all that 00:40:16.24\00:40:17.68 and somehow I got the lid off and I was smart enough to know 00:40:17.71\00:40:21.28 black shoe polish goes on the black brush. 00:40:21.32\00:40:24.45 So I poured a generous amount 00:40:24.49\00:40:26.02 of black shoe polish on that black brush, 00:40:26.05\00:40:28.29 got it good and went 00:40:28.32\00:40:29.66 because I wanted the shoes really shiny. 00:40:29.69\00:40:32.49 Then I hit the button. Something terrible happened. 00:40:32.53\00:40:38.07 First of all the machine began to bounce 00:40:38.10\00:40:40.07 because all the weight of the wet shoe polish 00:40:40.10\00:40:42.37 was on one side and started to hop 00:40:42.40\00:40:44.17 and then it picked up speed, it went... 00:40:44.21\00:40:47.64 And it discarded all of the polish. 00:40:47.68\00:40:50.55 All the polish was sprayed off the brush. 00:40:50.58\00:40:53.18 It went up the wall through the middle 00:40:53.21\00:40:56.25 of a very expensive Spanish soldier picture, 00:40:56.28\00:40:59.95 some Spanish conquistador. 00:40:59.99\00:41:02.29 Across the ceiling back down the other side of the hall, 00:41:02.32\00:41:05.16 it just created the black rainbow in the hall 00:41:05.19\00:41:08.96 and I quickly I hit the button and turned it off 00:41:09.00\00:41:11.40 and I looked at that, and I thought, 00:41:11.43\00:41:14.40 probably time to go back to bed. 00:41:14.44\00:41:17.71 I went back in my bedroom and I crawl back into my bed. 00:41:17.74\00:41:21.21 And I'm laying there under the covers, 00:41:21.24\00:41:22.58 I'm thinking nobody saw, 00:41:22.61\00:41:25.85 nobody will know that I'm responsible. 00:41:25.88\00:41:29.78 Little while it took forever but pretty soon 00:41:29.82\00:41:31.55 I heard my dad stumble around 00:41:31.59\00:41:33.15 and I heard the sink go on in the bathroom 00:41:33.19\00:41:34.96 and then I heard his bedroom door open 00:41:34.99\00:41:36.46 and my little heart was going like this 00:41:36.49\00:41:37.96 and I felt, I'll just pretend I'm asleep. 00:41:37.99\00:41:40.10 And he walks out in the hall and then I hear... 00:41:40.13\00:41:44.23 He made these noises I'd never heard before. 00:41:44.27\00:41:47.84 He went right to my bedroom door 00:41:47.87\00:41:49.20 and he opened up the door 00:41:49.24\00:41:50.57 and he looks and he goes Dougie, 00:41:50.61\00:41:52.14 and I wondered why he said me 00:41:52.17\00:41:54.01 because I had my brother, 00:41:54.04\00:41:55.38 I had my stepbrother but he went right to me, 00:41:55.41\00:41:57.88 he said, "Get in here." 00:41:57.91\00:41:59.58 I acted like I was asleep. Dougie! 00:41:59.61\00:42:01.65 Oh, yeah. 00:42:01.68\00:42:04.72 And I came out, and he pointed me 00:42:04.75\00:42:08.32 to the rainbow that looked as ominous as ever. 00:42:08.36\00:42:12.09 He said, "Do you know anything about this?" 00:42:12.13\00:42:15.53 I wanted to tell the truth but I thought, 00:42:15.56\00:42:17.33 no man, no one will know. 00:42:17.37\00:42:19.53 I said, "No." 00:42:19.57\00:42:22.60 He said, "Are you sure?" 00:42:22.64\00:42:26.01 I don't know. What happened? 00:42:26.04\00:42:29.18 I thought, you know, 00:42:29.21\00:42:30.55 someone maybe broke into my house 00:42:30.58\00:42:32.01 and a robber might have tried to steal my dad's shoes 00:42:32.05\00:42:34.15 and shine them before he left. 00:42:34.18\00:42:36.62 Anything could have happen? 00:42:36.65\00:42:39.35 And my dad said, "All right, Doug, 00:42:39.39\00:42:41.69 I'm gonna spank you until you tell the truth." 00:42:41.72\00:42:45.86 There was a convenient bench right there in the hall 00:42:45.89\00:42:48.53 where he used to put his shoes on, 00:42:48.56\00:42:49.90 he sat down and he pulled me over his knee 00:42:49.93\00:42:52.70 and he began to swat me on my posterior. 00:42:52.73\00:42:56.77 You'll know where that is. 00:42:56.81\00:42:58.67 That's your gluteus maximus, 00:42:58.71\00:43:00.58 there, yeah, and, and I was going, 00:43:00.61\00:43:04.01 I didn't do it. I didn't do it. 00:43:04.05\00:43:06.01 I didn't do it. I did it. 00:43:06.05\00:43:07.78 I did it. I did it. 00:43:07.82\00:43:11.25 Because, you know, 00:43:11.29\00:43:12.79 we all crack under torture after a while. 00:43:12.82\00:43:15.89 And then my father used to cry and he said, 00:43:15.92\00:43:17.83 "Stop crying. 00:43:17.86\00:43:19.19 Go in the bathroom, wash your face." 00:43:19.23\00:43:20.83 So I went crying off into the bathroom 00:43:20.86\00:43:22.63 and I had a little stool I used to stand on 00:43:22.66\00:43:24.83 so I could see in the sink. 00:43:24.87\00:43:26.94 I was still pretty small. 00:43:26.97\00:43:28.34 I stood up on the sink to wash my face 00:43:28.37\00:43:29.87 and I'm looking in the mirror. 00:43:29.90\00:43:32.24 I had black spots all over my face. 00:43:32.27\00:43:34.14 Here I am. 00:43:37.78\00:43:39.11 I'm looking at my father, 00:43:39.15\00:43:40.48 got black spots all over my face. 00:43:40.52\00:43:41.85 He says, "Do you know anything about this shoe polish?" 00:43:41.88\00:43:43.22 I am going, "No, not me." 00:43:43.25\00:43:47.69 Can we get away with anything with God? 00:43:47.72\00:43:49.49 No. 00:43:49.52\00:43:50.86 It's like sometimes your parents say, 00:43:50.89\00:43:52.23 "Did you get into the chocolate chip cookies," 00:43:52.26\00:43:54.73 and you're going... 00:43:54.76\00:43:56.50 You got chocolate chips all around you. 00:43:56.53\00:43:58.50 Not me. 00:43:58.53\00:44:00.60 Your parents usually know, right? 00:44:00.64\00:44:03.87 You always want to tell the truth 00:44:03.91\00:44:06.14 and confess your sins to God. 00:44:06.17\00:44:07.98 You don't have to hide anything from God. 00:44:08.01\00:44:10.75 So be honest with Him. 00:44:10.78\00:44:12.68 Tell Him what your sins are, and He will forgive you. 00:44:12.71\00:44:15.58 He's very merciful. 00:44:15.62\00:44:17.99 Will my life change when I give it to Jesus 00:44:18.02\00:44:20.32 and join His family? 00:44:20.36\00:44:22.39 What does Jesus help me do? 00:44:22.42\00:44:25.09 "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation." 00:44:25.13\00:44:29.26 You become a new creature. 00:44:29.30\00:44:30.97 Old things are passed away. 00:44:31.00\00:44:32.80 All things are made new. 00:44:32.83\00:44:35.24 You're born again. 00:44:35.27\00:44:37.11 Jesus said, then if you love Him, 00:44:37.14\00:44:38.71 because you're a new creature, 00:44:38.74\00:44:40.28 because of the love for God, 00:44:40.31\00:44:42.11 you want to keep His commandments, 00:44:42.14\00:44:43.78 it actually pleases you. 00:44:43.81\00:44:46.25 Now, all of you been born once. 00:44:46.28\00:44:47.62 How many have been born at least once? 00:44:47.65\00:44:49.65 That should have been everybody, right? 00:44:49.68\00:44:51.49 You know that if you're only born once, 00:44:51.52\00:44:54.66 you will die twice. 00:44:54.69\00:44:56.76 The Bible says, 00:44:56.79\00:44:58.13 you will not only die the first death, 00:44:58.16\00:44:59.49 but after the millennium, you die the second death. 00:44:59.53\00:45:02.56 But if you're born twice, you may only die once 00:45:02.60\00:45:06.94 and you may not die at all if you're alive 00:45:06.97\00:45:08.34 when Jesus comes, you must be born again. 00:45:08.37\00:45:11.81 I read about a little girl. 00:45:11.84\00:45:14.08 Her name was Macie Hope McCartney. 00:45:14.11\00:45:16.61 She was actually born twice. 00:45:16.64\00:45:18.98 She was born twice as a baby. 00:45:19.01\00:45:20.98 You see, when her mom was about 00:45:21.02\00:45:22.85 five and a half months pregnant, 00:45:22.88\00:45:24.39 they did an ultrasound X ray and they found out 00:45:24.42\00:45:27.09 Macie had a very dangerous tumor 00:45:27.12\00:45:29.72 that was growing on her spine 00:45:29.76\00:45:32.69 and she was only about that big. 00:45:32.73\00:45:34.30 She weighed less than a pound, 00:45:34.33\00:45:35.66 probably weighed as much 00:45:35.70\00:45:37.03 as a 50 cent piece or silver dollar. 00:45:37.07\00:45:39.80 And the doctor said, "Unless we do the surgery, 00:45:39.83\00:45:43.84 she won't survive, 00:45:43.87\00:45:45.21 but it's a very dangerous surgery. 00:45:45.24\00:45:47.34 We need to operate, 00:45:47.38\00:45:49.91 take Macie out of the mother's womb, 00:45:49.94\00:45:53.45 do the surgery, put her back in her tummy again." 00:45:53.48\00:45:57.45 And they did that surgery 00:45:57.49\00:45:59.15 and it went perfectly successful. 00:45:59.19\00:46:00.92 She's now a very happy, young lady. 00:46:00.96\00:46:04.09 So she was born in March, they put her back 00:46:04.13\00:46:06.70 and then she was born again in May. 00:46:06.73\00:46:08.56 Two months later so she was born twice. 00:46:08.60\00:46:10.77 But you need to be born twice spiritually 00:46:10.80\00:46:13.03 and Jesus does a surgery on your heart. 00:46:13.07\00:46:15.34 The Bible says in Jeremiah 1:5, 00:46:15.37\00:46:18.24 "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you." 00:46:18.27\00:46:21.64 God has known us from the very beginning. 00:46:21.68\00:46:24.51 Will I be happier when I accept Jesus? 00:46:24.55\00:46:27.32 Oh, infinitely happier. 00:46:27.35\00:46:30.09 These things, Jesus said, "These things I've spoken 00:46:30.12\00:46:32.52 to you that your joy might be full." 00:46:32.55\00:46:35.89 And yet the tables yet I will rejoice in the Lord, 00:46:35.92\00:46:38.79 I will joy in the God of my salvation. 00:46:38.83\00:46:42.06 Being a Christian can be a happy life. 00:46:42.10\00:46:44.23 "I delight to do your will, O my God, 00:46:44.27\00:46:46.87 and Your law is within my heart." 00:46:46.90\00:46:49.34 And then we say, Lord, he says, 00:46:49.37\00:46:51.87 "I have come that they might have life," 00:46:51.91\00:46:54.04 Jesus said, "and we might have it more 00:46:54.08\00:46:56.24 abundantly." 00:46:56.28\00:46:57.61 God wants you to have an abundant life. 00:46:57.65\00:46:59.48 I need two volunteers. 00:46:59.51\00:47:01.98 Okay, you know, I'm neglecting you guys 00:47:02.02\00:47:04.72 way over here. 00:47:04.75\00:47:06.09 I feel so bad. 00:47:06.12\00:47:07.62 I'll tell you what, we got like five girls here so. 00:47:07.66\00:47:12.59 Here I like to take you 00:47:12.63\00:47:13.96 'cause you were sitting down all right. 00:47:14.00\00:47:15.93 Look in the box there and see if you can find, 00:47:15.96\00:47:19.53 one of you see if you can find something to start a fire. 00:47:19.57\00:47:23.04 That scares people I know. 00:47:23.07\00:47:25.17 Look around, see if there's something 00:47:25.21\00:47:26.54 there might start a fire and wave while you're there. 00:47:26.57\00:47:28.98 You found it. He's got it. All right. 00:47:36.22\00:47:39.45 I picked two of you 'cause I got two candles here. 00:47:39.49\00:47:42.59 All right, do you think you could light that thing, 00:47:42.62\00:47:44.13 it takes, you gotta have a pretty firm grip. 00:47:44.16\00:47:46.19 You pull in the trigger, you squeeze, 00:47:46.23\00:47:47.96 and you press the button. 00:47:48.00\00:47:49.33 Come on over here so people can see. 00:47:49.36\00:47:51.50 Pull the handle in like this. 00:47:51.53\00:47:54.17 Just pull the handle and just squeeze the handle in. 00:47:54.20\00:47:57.44 Stay with it. Stay with it. 00:47:57.47\00:47:58.81 You're not gonna run out. All right, now let... 00:47:58.84\00:48:00.74 What's your name? Keep it squeezed down. 00:48:07.18\00:48:09.15 Don't push it over. 00:48:09.18\00:48:11.22 That's good. You got it. 00:48:11.25\00:48:12.59 All right. Now here's a question. 00:48:12.62\00:48:13.96 Come on over here with me, you guys, we can set that down. 00:48:13.99\00:48:15.56 Can you see something different with those two candles? 00:48:19.19\00:48:21.90 Yes, one is bigger. One's taller, all right. 00:48:21.93\00:48:25.67 Which one do you think is gonna burn longer? 00:48:25.70\00:48:28.27 Tall one. Okay. 00:48:28.30\00:48:32.47 Which one do you think is going to give more light out 00:48:32.51\00:48:36.01 over time? 00:48:36.04\00:48:37.38 Taller one. So here's my question. 00:48:37.41\00:48:40.42 What is worth more, 10 plus 70 or 70 plus 10? 00:48:40.45\00:48:45.89 They are equal. Sounds equal, doesn't it. 00:48:45.92\00:48:49.86 Now let me tell you what I'm talking about. 00:48:49.89\00:48:52.39 Are you better off being 10 years old 00:48:52.43\00:48:54.86 giving your heart to the Lord and serving him for 70 years 00:48:54.90\00:48:58.13 or being 70 years old giving your heart to the Lord 00:48:58.17\00:49:00.70 and serving Him for 10 years? 00:49:00.74\00:49:04.14 You want to do it when you're 10 years old. 00:49:04.17\00:49:06.37 Okay? 00:49:06.41\00:49:07.84 Here like, I got something for you. 00:49:07.88\00:49:12.35 Since I'm a guy, she's a girl. Isn't that pretty? 00:49:12.38\00:49:14.35 You like that? Isn't that beautiful? 00:49:14.38\00:49:16.28 I don't know if it smells I think it's an iris. 00:49:16.32\00:49:18.52 And what was your name? Luke? 00:49:18.55\00:49:21.99 I got one for you too, Luke. 00:49:22.02\00:49:24.76 Now they're both irises. Which one looks better? 00:49:24.79\00:49:29.33 This one. 00:49:29.36\00:49:31.63 Well, I guess that's a matter of opinion. 00:49:31.67\00:49:35.80 It's no contest, let's admit it. 00:49:35.84\00:49:37.97 So if you're going to give your life to the Lord, 00:49:38.01\00:49:40.01 do you want to give your life to the Lord 00:49:40.04\00:49:41.38 like that in its blossom, 00:49:41.41\00:49:43.24 in its youth or do you want to wait 00:49:43.28\00:49:44.61 until all the petals fall off and say here, Jesus, 00:49:44.65\00:49:46.21 I'm going to give you my life. 00:49:46.25\00:49:48.32 Will the Lord take you at any time? 00:49:48.35\00:49:50.32 Yes. 00:49:50.35\00:49:51.69 But isn't it better to give Him your life in your youth, 00:49:51.72\00:49:54.69 in your strength? 00:49:54.72\00:49:56.29 I say this because some people say, 00:49:56.32\00:49:58.63 "I'm gonna live for the devil and when I'm old before I die, 00:49:58.66\00:50:01.76 I'm gonna give my life to the Lord." 00:50:01.80\00:50:03.90 That's a terrible mistake. 00:50:03.93\00:50:05.87 You're not gonna shine for God for very long. 00:50:05.90\00:50:08.04 He'll accept you but how much better 00:50:08.07\00:50:10.17 to give him your life in your prime 00:50:10.21\00:50:12.57 when you're young. 00:50:12.61\00:50:13.94 I wish I was even younger when I had come to the Lord, 00:50:13.98\00:50:16.04 I wasted several years and you never know 00:50:16.08\00:50:18.81 when your life is gonna end. 00:50:18.85\00:50:20.18 You can't decide, well, maybe when I'm old, 00:50:20.22\00:50:22.58 a few years before I die, the doctor will say 00:50:22.62\00:50:24.62 you've got six months to live, 00:50:24.65\00:50:25.99 then I'll give my life to the Lord. 00:50:26.02\00:50:28.76 You want to give it to Him, not just for you 00:50:28.79\00:50:30.73 because you want to serve him too, amen? 00:50:30.76\00:50:32.79 Oh, you got to keep that one. 00:50:32.83\00:50:34.16 You can keep that one too if you want to. 00:50:34.20\00:50:35.53 Sorry about that, Luke. Thank you. 00:50:35.56\00:50:36.93 Let's give them a hand. Thank you very much. 00:50:36.97\00:50:41.10 I remember once a story, a father was sailing through 00:50:41.14\00:50:46.14 the Caribbean with his teenage boys 00:50:46.17\00:50:50.31 and he told them, 00:50:50.35\00:50:53.88 don't be running around the ship 00:50:53.92\00:50:55.42 and don't be getting in trouble. 00:50:55.45\00:50:56.92 He says if you fall overboard, this is a dangerous area. 00:50:56.95\00:50:59.29 There is a chicken slaughterhouse near here 00:50:59.32\00:51:02.62 and because there's a chicken slaughterhouse, 00:51:02.66\00:51:04.76 there's a lot of sharks in the area 00:51:04.79\00:51:06.29 because all of the garbage from the chicken slaughterhouse 00:51:06.33\00:51:08.90 goes out in the ocean and the sharks are very thick 00:51:08.93\00:51:11.07 and they're very aggressive. 00:51:11.10\00:51:13.27 And the boy said, "Okay, dad." 00:51:13.30\00:51:14.64 Dad was always being really cautious 00:51:14.67\00:51:16.07 and having rules and they said, "Yeah, dad, yeah, dad." 00:51:16.10\00:51:18.84 They didn't believe him. 00:51:18.87\00:51:20.21 Well as they were going along, the boys began to run, 00:51:20.24\00:51:23.28 chase each other and play tag on the boat 00:51:23.31\00:51:25.18 and they were wrestling or fighting or something 00:51:25.21\00:51:26.68 and one of them began to slip 00:51:26.72\00:51:28.05 and go over the little cord railing. 00:51:28.08\00:51:30.15 He grabbed his brother's t-shirt. 00:51:30.19\00:51:31.99 They both fell off and the boat was going, 00:51:32.02\00:51:34.02 it was under sail, it was moving, 00:51:34.06\00:51:35.39 they both fell overboard as the boat was moving 00:51:35.42\00:51:37.96 and went splash into the warm Caribbean waters. 00:51:37.99\00:51:41.43 Well, they were good swimmers and water wasn't that deep. 00:51:41.46\00:51:44.73 The father heard the boat splash. 00:51:44.77\00:51:46.80 They said, "Hey, dad." 00:51:46.84\00:51:48.17 He ran up from below, he was in the kitchen, 00:51:48.20\00:51:50.07 the galley down below. 00:51:50.11\00:51:51.47 He came up and it took a minute to try 00:51:51.51\00:51:53.78 to lower the sail and stop the boat. 00:51:53.81\00:51:55.48 It's not that easy to stop it right away. 00:51:55.51\00:51:57.71 The boys are off in the distance 00:51:57.75\00:51:59.18 and the father's trying to turn the boat around 00:51:59.21\00:52:00.85 and he got up on the deck 00:52:00.88\00:52:02.22 and he said, "Swim back to the boat." 00:52:02.25\00:52:04.62 He dropped the sail and boat was slowly drifting 00:52:04.65\00:52:06.99 and they were gonna swim back. 00:52:07.02\00:52:08.56 Well, they're out there in the water dunking each other 00:52:08.59\00:52:10.63 and fighting, they're enjoying being in the water. 00:52:10.66\00:52:13.63 And then the father saw from where he stood, sharks. 00:52:13.66\00:52:18.93 And he said, "Boys, I see sharks. 00:52:18.97\00:52:21.97 Come quickly back to the boat. 00:52:22.00\00:52:24.84 Swim calmly, but quickly, 00:52:24.87\00:52:26.24 you don't want to stir the water too much." 00:52:26.27\00:52:28.58 The boys looked at each other and they said, 00:52:28.61\00:52:30.25 "We haven't seen any sharks all day. 00:52:30.28\00:52:32.45 I don't see any dorsal fins going through the water. 00:52:32.48\00:52:35.15 There are no sharks. 00:52:35.18\00:52:36.52 He's probably just trying to scare us." 00:52:36.55\00:52:38.59 And as the boys began to say, 00:52:38.62\00:52:39.95 "Oh, no help, I'm drowning, sharks." 00:52:39.99\00:52:42.72 And they're making fun of their father. 00:52:42.76\00:52:44.89 And they're slowly swimming back to the boat. 00:52:44.93\00:52:47.20 Well, the father saw he's getting really frightened 00:52:47.23\00:52:49.10 'cause there are more and more black shadows 00:52:49.13\00:52:51.40 under the water that are gathering 00:52:51.43\00:52:53.54 and circling the son and he understood 00:52:53.57\00:52:55.24 the nature of sharks. 00:52:55.27\00:52:57.44 Sharks are kind of cowards, but they'll circle 00:52:57.47\00:53:00.24 and one of them eventually will go in 00:53:00.28\00:53:01.81 and take a sample bite. 00:53:01.84\00:53:03.58 But once they smell blood, 00:53:03.61\00:53:05.51 they go into a frenzy of biting and tearing. 00:53:05.55\00:53:10.22 And the father saw the shark were closing the circle. 00:53:10.25\00:53:13.66 He said, "Boys get back to the boat." 00:53:13.69\00:53:15.92 And he picked up a life preserver, 00:53:15.96\00:53:17.56 you know, the ring and it was on a rope. 00:53:17.59\00:53:18.93 He said, "Do you having problems." 00:53:18.96\00:53:20.30 He threw it to them and they said, 00:53:20.33\00:53:22.00 "We don't need that, we can get back on our own." 00:53:22.03\00:53:25.57 And then he saw the sharks were going to dive in, 00:53:25.60\00:53:27.84 in any moment in or attack one of the boys 00:53:27.87\00:53:31.57 and he knew that would be the end of it, 00:53:31.61\00:53:32.94 'cause now there were like 50 of them. 00:53:32.97\00:53:35.71 So the father did something that was very shocking. 00:53:35.74\00:53:38.98 He took a fish knife that was on the boat. 00:53:39.01\00:53:42.52 He cut his wrists. 00:53:42.55\00:53:44.55 He dove in the water and swim in another direction. 00:53:44.59\00:53:48.12 And soon, the dark shadows 00:53:48.16\00:53:50.19 all went over towards the father. 00:53:50.23\00:53:52.39 And the water began to turn and turn red. 00:53:52.43\00:53:56.36 And the boys saw what happened. 00:53:56.40\00:53:59.00 Now, here's the question. 00:53:59.03\00:54:00.44 If they choose to stay in the water 00:54:00.47\00:54:03.30 after their father gave his life, 00:54:03.34\00:54:05.74 is there anything more their father can do? 00:54:05.77\00:54:09.61 If we choose to continue hanging around with the devil, 00:54:09.64\00:54:12.98 and stay out in the world after God gives His Son, 00:54:13.01\00:54:16.72 Jesus gave His blood to save us. 00:54:16.75\00:54:19.89 Is there anything more He can do? 00:54:19.92\00:54:22.46 So, God's done as much as He can do 00:54:22.49\00:54:25.63 in giving Jesus to save us. 00:54:25.66\00:54:28.43 And the only lifeboat is Christ. 00:54:28.46\00:54:31.77 Jesus is our lifeboat, we must come to Him. 00:54:31.80\00:54:34.27 The Bible says, "He who has the Son has life. 00:54:34.30\00:54:38.01 He that does not have the Son does not have life." 00:54:38.04\00:54:42.54 So do you see how much Jesus loves you? 00:54:42.58\00:54:45.18 Don't you want to accept Jesus 00:54:45.21\00:54:46.72 and start living a new life for Him? 00:54:46.75\00:54:49.98 You know, the Bible tells us that without Him, 00:54:50.02\00:54:51.69 we can't do anything. 00:54:51.72\00:54:53.82 But how much can we do through Christ? 00:54:53.86\00:54:56.79 All things are possible through Christ. 00:54:56.83\00:54:59.69 And then you know, one of the things 00:54:59.73\00:55:01.06 that's often forgotten, one of the most important steps 00:55:01.10\00:55:03.73 after you make a decision to accept Jesus, 00:55:03.77\00:55:06.37 tell somebody else about it. 00:55:06.40\00:55:08.37 You want to share the good news. 00:55:08.40\00:55:10.04 It says in the Bible, 00:55:10.07\00:55:11.41 "If you confess with your mouth, 00:55:11.44\00:55:12.77 the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart, 00:55:12.81\00:55:15.38 you will be saved." 00:55:15.41\00:55:16.75 So seal your decision by sharing 00:55:16.78\00:55:18.55 and tell someone else what Jesus has done for you. 00:55:18.58\00:55:21.72 His promise is, He will never leave you or forsake you. 00:55:21.75\00:55:26.42 You know, God has given His own Son 00:55:26.45\00:55:29.56 because He loves you so much. 00:55:29.59\00:55:32.06 I remember hearing a story about a boy. 00:55:32.09\00:55:36.20 His sister had a rare disease, his younger sister, 00:55:36.23\00:55:40.07 and the doctor said, "Tommy, 00:55:40.10\00:55:43.27 you have the same blood type as Lisa, 00:55:43.30\00:55:46.57 your three year old sister. 00:55:46.61\00:55:48.44 The only way that Lisa is gonna live 00:55:48.48\00:55:50.68 is if you would be willing to give her blood." 00:55:50.71\00:55:54.72 And he thought long time about that 00:55:54.75\00:55:56.55 'cause he was only like eight or nine years old 00:55:56.58\00:55:58.65 and he thought boy kind of scary 00:55:58.69\00:56:00.66 when someone pokes a needle in you and, and he said yes, 00:56:00.69\00:56:05.19 I'm willing to give my blood to Lisa. 00:56:05.23\00:56:08.46 So they laid him down in a hospital bed and, 00:56:08.50\00:56:11.83 and he was starting to tear up when he thought about it 00:56:11.87\00:56:14.77 and the doctors to put the rubber band 00:56:14.80\00:56:16.71 around his arm and they, 00:56:16.74\00:56:18.11 they got where they found a vein. 00:56:18.14\00:56:19.97 They poked a needle and he cried a little bit. 00:56:20.01\00:56:22.34 And he saw the blood running down 00:56:22.38\00:56:23.75 the tube into a bottle. 00:56:23.78\00:56:27.18 And he said, "Doctor, is it gonna hurt to die?" 00:56:27.22\00:56:30.99 And they said, "Well, you're not gonna die." 00:56:31.02\00:56:33.92 "Said, but after you take all my blood won't I die?" 00:56:33.96\00:56:37.46 They said, "They're not going to take all of your blood. 00:56:37.49\00:56:40.96 You just need to give a little bit, you'll be alive." 00:56:41.00\00:56:42.96 And he was so relieved. 00:56:43.00\00:56:45.47 He was willing to die to save his sister. 00:56:45.50\00:56:48.20 He thought they were going to take all of his blood. 00:56:48.24\00:56:52.74 That's what the Lord does in the heart of somebody 00:56:52.77\00:56:54.71 when they love someone. 00:56:54.74\00:56:56.58 He loved his sister so much he was willing to die for her. 00:56:56.61\00:56:58.91 Do you love Jesus so that you're willing to live for Him?
