I'm so excited. 03:36 We have some wonderful people with us and... 03:37 Absolutely. 03:39 They love the Lord and we're just going to lift up 03:40 the Lord in song. 03:42 Oh, I'm looking forward too. 03:43 For the viewers at home, 03:44 we want you to, as we say sometimes, 03:46 let you hair down and be yourself instead. 03:48 May be you're sitting back or may be... 03:50 In fact, you know, 03:52 we're reaching people around the world 03:54 and sometimes there's folk who are incarcerated, 03:56 there's folks who are may be in nursing homes, and hospitals. 04:00 And today is the day 04:02 that we just want to let you know 04:03 that Jesus loves you, He died for you, 04:05 He made a plan on salvation for you. 04:07 He's coming back for you very soon 04:09 in the clouds of glory, all you have to do is submit. 04:12 Commit your life to the Lord Jesus Christ 04:14 and then go and tell 04:16 what He's done for you and for us. 04:18 And so you know what? Today that's what we are doing. 04:20 That's right. 04:21 Just sharing the good news of the Gospel 04:23 of the Lord Jesus Christ, but it's family day. 04:25 So we are here today, we want you to sing with us. 04:28 Maybe your wife doesn't let you sing normally, 04:30 your husband doesn't let you sing, 04:32 your pastor tells you do something else, 04:34 but today, you are at home, sing with us. 04:37 Yes, and so most of these songs you know, 04:39 so just sing along 04:40 and just worship the Lord with us in song. 04:43 Absolutely. Yay, let's sit down. 04:45 All right. 05:03 The First Noel 05:08 The angels did say 05:13 Was to certain poor shepherds 05:18 In fields as they lay 05:23 In fields where they lay 05:28 Keeping their sheep 05:32 On a cold winter's night 05:37 That was so deep 05:42 Noel, Noel 05:47 Noel, Noel 05:53 Born is the King 05:58 Of Israel 06:11 Then they looked up 06:16 And saw a star 06:21 Shining in the east 06:27 Beyond them far 06:32 And to the earth 06:37 It gave great light 06:42 And so it continued 06:47 Both day and night 06:52 Noel, Noel 06:57 Noel, Noel 07:03 Born is the King 07:07 Of Israel 07:13 Noel, Noel 07:18 Noel, Noel 07:25 Born is the King 07:30 Of Israel 07:41 Amen. Amen. 07:42 Beautiful, Yvonne, 07:44 why don't you introduce our singers today 07:46 and our brothers and sisters. 07:47 I know. I'm so excited that they are here with us. 07:50 First on the end here, 07:51 we have my dear friend Angela Clemmons 07:54 who is a friend of mine, from New York in the Jingle 07:59 and background vocal business. 08:02 Angela, I don't, tell more about her 08:04 in the moment. 08:06 And then we have Duawne Starling, 08:08 and Duawne is my little brother and he... 08:11 He is your little-big brother. 08:12 My little brother, that's right. 08:14 And we co-hosted Magnify Him together 08:17 and Duawne has... 08:19 I'll talk more about him later but anyway... 08:21 We're so glad that he is here. 08:23 And then my precious Lady Love Smith. 08:26 And Lady Love, of course, she is my sister too. 08:30 And so, we have just been hanging out 08:33 and just loving them. 08:35 Lady is just an incredible singer 08:37 and woman of God. 08:38 And then, of course, we have you here. 08:40 Yeah, and what about our musicians today? 08:41 And then, oh, we have also John Stoddard 08:44 who is not only an amazing keyboardist 08:48 but an amazing vocalist as well. 08:49 That's not fair actually. I know it, I know it. 08:53 That's all right, John, when I get to heaven, 08:54 I'll be able to sing and play like you. 08:56 Well, I needed to be able to play 08:57 the piano and sing, Danny, just to keep up with you. 09:01 So I just needed two to equal your one. 09:04 Oh, there you go, ain't that something? 09:07 Well, let's see what can we say, 09:08 we better move on, let's move on. 09:10 And then, of course, Jim Parton 09:12 who is the General Manager of our 09:14 3ABN Praise Him Network, a music network, 09:19 and just an incredible pianist. 09:22 We just kind of invited him at the last minute. 09:24 Yeah, but you know what... 09:26 So he came on here and I don't know 09:27 how he is going to work this out 09:28 but it looks like they are working it together 09:30 'cause... 09:31 I'm actually taking piano lessons right now. 09:32 Okay, that's a good way to do it, 09:34 just behind him, and there you go. 09:38 It's amazing just to see 09:40 how they can work together and play off of each other. 09:45 It's just phenomenal, so I'm really thankful. 09:48 I said jokingly before the program, 09:50 jokingly I said, 09:51 either they are really good or really bad 09:53 because they are not really talking about 09:55 what keys we're going to play... 09:56 I know. 09:58 What chords, you know, whether it's a number system 10:00 or chords we're going to use, they are just doing it. 10:02 So either they are really good or bad, 10:04 we heard enough, 10:05 we decided they are really good. 10:07 That's right, that's right, that's right. 10:11 When we think about Christmas, 10:13 let's talk a little bit about Christmas 10:16 and what it means 10:18 because we're singing about it and we've all sung all over 10:23 but we haven't, 10:25 you know, often talked about 10:28 why we do what we do, when we do this. 10:31 Why do you do it, Angela? 10:34 Well, I was raised with this and I was raised... 10:39 My father is a pastor, 10:42 and I was raised with this music. 10:46 And it has somehow... 10:48 Once I got older and really understood 10:51 what these songs meant, they just reach so deep. 10:56 And it's just... 10:57 And I want to share that, 10:58 I want to share that with people 11:00 because it is life changing. 11:03 There's just something about it that, 11:05 I always say when we're singing these songs, 11:07 it's very difficult 11:10 to feel the same way at the end of the song 11:12 as you felt when you were going into the song. 11:14 Yes, yes. 11:15 But it's just always been such a blessing to me, 11:18 and I've always wanted to share that with people. 11:20 Aw, that's awesome. What about you Duawne? 11:23 Well, this is just a story of love 11:26 in its purest form, 11:28 and so when I think of Christmas, 11:29 I think of that. 11:31 I think of the matchless love that, 11:35 not just that He was born 11:37 but that He would live and die 11:39 for the purpose of us, you know. 11:41 So I'm lifted, I'm lifted at this time, 11:45 I'm lifted every time I think of these songs 11:48 and why they were written, 11:50 and you know, it just ministers to my soul. 11:52 Yes, yes. Lady Love? 11:55 Oh, for me, 11:56 Christmas was both amazing and a sad time in my life. 12:01 It was an incredible time when I was young, 12:04 my daddy always made Christmas very special. 12:07 My mom's mother passed away on Christmas Eve 12:11 when I was six months old, so I don't remember that, 12:14 but I know it was always a hard time for my mother. 12:16 But it was a joyful time for me, 12:18 I couldn't wait to go to my grandparents, 12:20 it was home to me. 12:21 And then, I didn't mean to get off 12:23 into this right off the bat... 12:24 But then when I was 14, almost 15, 12:27 my sister was killed in a car accident, 12:29 December 17th, 12:31 so drunk drivers... 12:33 And it was just, that became such a hard time, 12:37 such a hard, hard time. 12:38 So I know that people... 12:40 Christmas is a great time for so many 12:41 and it's a really hard time for so many people. 12:44 So for me, Christmas is hope and Christ was my only hope 12:47 to get through those times. 12:49 And so I just hope today that we can encourage people 12:52 that Christ is their hope, this time and all year around. 12:56 Yes, yes, for sure. 12:58 Well, let's hear Angela sing O come, All Ye Faithful. 13:02 Okay, good. 13:18 O come 13:21 All ye faithful 13:25 Joyful and triumphant 13:31 O come ye 13:34 O come ye to 13:38 Bethlehem 13:44 Come and behold Him 13:50 Born the King of Angels 13:56 O come, let us adore Him 14:04 O come, let us adore Him 14:10 O come 14:13 Let us adore Him 14:19 Christ the Lord 14:30 Sing choirs of angels 14:34 Sing in exultation 14:39 O sing all ye citizens 14:43 Of heaven above 14:48 Glory to God 14:53 All glory in the Highest 14:58 O come, let us adore Him 15:03 O come, let us adore Him 15:07 O come, let us adore Him 15:13 Christ the Lord 15:20 Yes Lord, we greet Thee 15:25 Born this happy morning 15:30 Jesus 15:32 To Thee be all glory given 15:39 Oh, word of the Father 15:44 Now in flesh appearing 15:48 O come, let us adore Him 15:53 O come, let us adore Him 15:58 O come, let us adore Him 16:03 Christ the Lord 16:08 O come, let us adore Him 16:11 O come, let us adore Him 16:17 O come, let us adore Him 16:22 Christ the Lord 16:26 O come, let us adore Him 16:31 O come, let us adore Him 16:36 O come, let us adore Him 16:42 Christ the Lord 16:47 Christ the Lord 16:55 Christ the Lord 17:01 Amen. Praise the Lord. 17:03 That's a two-hander, beautiful. Beautiful, absolutely. 17:08 What a blessing. 17:09 You know Angela, I need to tell the viewers 17:13 so that they kind of know a little bit 17:15 about her background, 17:16 that she has sung with people like Aretha Franklin, 17:19 and Michael Jackson, and Celine Dion. 17:22 And she's done jingles like Burger King and Coca-Cola, 17:26 and so she has a very extensive background, 17:28 but you can tell that 17:31 that's not as important to Angela 17:33 as her singing about her Savior. 17:36 And so we just thank you, Angela. 17:38 That, you just took us to glory, girl! 17:40 Yes, yes. 17:41 You took us glory, just did. That was good. 17:44 We're going to have church. 17:45 We're just having church today, 17:46 just our little group, right here. 17:49 We're just going to have church and have good time. 17:50 That's the way to do it. Amen, amen. 17:53 You know, when you think about the night that Jesus was born, 17:56 it had to be just the special, 18:00 I don't want to say magical 18:01 'cause that makes it sound all, you know... 18:02 Spiritual. 18:04 But spiritual... 18:05 there had to be something in the atmosphere 18:07 that was different 18:08 because it was the night that God himself, 18:12 manifested Himself as a man, 18:14 and so one staple of Christmas 18:18 all the time is Silent Night. 18:21 Absolutely. 18:22 And I'm so glad 18:23 that you're going to sing the verse for us. 18:25 Well, I'll do it if the rest of you help me, 18:26 all the rest of you, okay? 18:28 Okay, all right, we will. 18:38 Silent night 18:43 Holy night 18:48 All is calm 18:53 All is bright 18:58 Round yon Virgin 19:04 Mother and Child 19:09 Holy infant 19:14 So tender and mild 19:20 Sleep 19:23 In heavenly 19:26 Peace 19:32 Sleep 19:35 In heavenly peace 19:43 Silent night 19:49 Holy night 19:55 Son of God 20:01 Love's pure light 20:07 Radiant beams 20:13 From Thy Holy face 20:19 With dawn 20:24 Of redeeming grace 20:30 Jesus 20:34 Lord at Thy birth 20:42 Jesus 20:46 Lord at Thy birth 20:51 Okay. All right. 20:55 Silent night 21:01 Holy night 21:08 Wondrous star 21:14 Lend thy light 21:20 With the angels 21:26 Let us sing 21:32 Alleluia 21:38 To our King 21:44 Christ our Savior 21:50 Is born 21:57 Christ our Savior 22:04 Is born 22:19 Wow, beautiful. Thank you, Angela. 22:21 If I'd have known 22:22 you were going to sing like that, 22:24 I'd have put in all my nuances 'cause again where could I... 22:26 I just let my wife think I'm Aladdin. 22:29 I didn't know we were going to be doing like this. 22:32 Can we start that over? 22:34 No, I'm just kidding, I'm just... 22:37 that's all I have, that's it. 22:40 That was beautiful, that was beautiful. 22:43 John Stoddard is just an incredible musician. 22:48 Absolutely. 22:49 He sings, he plays, he writes, 22:53 he is the current artist-in-residence 22:55 at Oakwood University. 22:57 Wow. He's been with Kirk Whalum. 22:59 I mean just... 23:01 There are so many, I need to name just a few. 23:03 Wintley Phipps, Fred Hammond, Celine Dion, Michael McDonald. 23:08 So he's sung with so many different people, 23:11 and yet again, what I love... 23:14 One of the things that I love about John, 23:15 'cause he is really special, 23:17 is he has this beautiful spirit, 23:19 his wonderful spirit, his servant's heart, 23:22 and we're just blessed to have you, John. 23:24 Should we know that, may be I should note 23:26 that the all these folk called me first 23:28 and I referred them to John 'cause I couldn't make it. 23:32 Would you believe that story or not? 23:35 Well... 23:36 Doesn't sound like you would, I'm just kidding, of course? 23:38 We will have somebody in the audience gets tired... 23:40 Don't get tired. We are just kidding here. 23:41 We are just playing? 23:42 We are having a good time, all right. 23:44 No, John's an incredible musician 23:46 and a singer. 23:48 What an incredible... 23:49 But what you have, John, that a lot of folk don't, 23:52 there's a lot of great singers, 23:53 you know that, especially those of you 23:55 that sing out professionally 23:56 but very few have the talent and the anointing. 24:00 And when you put that two together, 24:01 you put that gift 24:03 that you have under the anointing 24:04 of the Holy Spirit, 24:06 it ministers and God can use you, 24:08 and has used you, mightily. 24:09 And we're looking forward to what you're going to do 24:10 with us today here. 24:12 Oh, praise God, Danny. 24:13 Thank you so much 24:15 and thank you again for this invitation. 24:17 A lot of times when we do these programs, 24:19 people don't realize that we are friends, 24:21 either old friends like Duawne 24:23 and I've known each other 20 plus years, 24:25 and new friends like Lady Love and Angela. 24:28 And sort of intermediate friends 24:30 like Danny, right? 24:32 And Tim, a new friend, what we are here having here, 24:33 this is so much fun. 24:35 We are trying to behave ourselves over here 24:36 on the keyboards. 24:38 But, you know, when I think about Christmas time, 24:41 I like to think about the human element 24:44 of what it must have been like perhaps for Joseph. 24:48 I remember when my wife was expecting, 24:51 especially our first child, and you know, 24:53 you see your wife changing and she can feel it, 24:56 you know, she can feel the baby and the little tinges, 24:59 but us as dads, we are little far removed, 25:02 a little removed from the process. 25:04 So I wonder what Joseph must have felt like, 25:08 that first time, look, 25:10 you know, Mary has been experiencing 25:11 this for nine months. 25:13 Wow. 25:14 But now, the baby Jesus is here 25:16 and Joseph gets to hold him for the first time. 25:21 What that must have been like? 25:23 I thought there is another pretty famous father 25:26 who wrote this song for his first baby-daughter 25:30 when she was born, 25:31 and I sort of co-opted it and just repurposed it 25:34 to try to paint this picture of what Joseph 25:37 must have felt like holding this little baby 25:40 in his arms for the first time, 25:42 all the emotions, all the dreams that he had had, 25:47 all the... 25:48 This whole experience of... 25:51 Wow! 25:53 The Savior of the world 25:55 has been entrusted to me to raise as a dad. 26:00 Listen to the words of this song 26:01 as I try to paint this picture, Isn't He Lovely. 26:24 Isn't He lovely 26:33 Isn't He precious 26:52 Isn't He Lovely 27:04 Isn't He Lovely 27:09 Isn't He Wonderful 27:13 There in the manger 27:18 Less than one minute old 27:22 I never thought that we would see 27:27 The savior who set us free 27:32 But Isn't He lovely 27:35 Made from love 27:44 Isn't He Precious 27:49 Truly the angel's best 27:53 I'm so happy 27:58 'Cause we have been heaven blessed 28:02 And I can't believe 28:05 What God has done 28:08 Giving life to all through one 28:12 And Isn't He lovely 28:16 Isn't He precious 28:21 So very lovely 28:27 Made from love 28:35 Isn't He lovely 28:49 Amen. Amen. 28:51 Yes. Beautiful. 28:52 Oh, beautiful, 28:56 Isn't He Lovely. 28:58 That was beautiful.
