Though created free beings each 00:24 is a indivisible unity of body, mind, and spirit. 00:28 Dependent upon God for life and breath and all else. 00:33 When our first parents disobeyed God, 00:36 they denied their dependence upon Him and fell from their 00:40 high position under God. The image of God in them 00:45 was marred and they became subject to death. 00:47 Their descendants shared this fallen nature and it's 00:51 consequences, and they are born with weaknesses and 00:54 tendency to evil. 00:55 But God in Christ reconciled the world to Himself 00:59 and by His Spirit restores in remorseful mortals 01:03 the image of their maker. 01:04 Created for the glory of God, they are called to love Him 01:08 and one another and care for their environment. |
