00:08:14.32\00:08:15.66 Yes! 00:08:15.69\00:08:17.03 It's good to know the God's word 00:08:17.06\00:08:18.39 is true, isn't it? 00:08:18.43\00:08:19.76 Yes! 00:08:19.79\00:08:21.10 Well, I'm gonna ask you to open your Bibles to Revelation. 00:08:21.13\00:08:22.46 We're gonna have a prayer before we get into it, 00:08:22.50\00:08:23.83 but that's a good place to begin, isn't it? 00:08:23.87\00:08:25.50 Yes! 00:08:25.53\00:08:27.24 It just happens to that my references 00:08:27.27\00:08:28.90 from this particular passage. 00:08:28.94\00:08:30.84 So I'm gonna ask you to have your Bible ready 00:08:30.91\00:08:33.71 and we'll go ahead and have a prayer to begin. 00:08:33.78\00:08:36.31 Our Heavenly Father, we thank you for your love 00:08:36.34\00:08:38.18 for each of us. 00:08:38.21\00:08:39.55 We thank you of the way you've guided us in our lives 00:08:39.58\00:08:41.55 and we know that 00:08:41.58\00:08:42.92 you've promised to guide us into all truth, 00:08:42.95\00:08:44.29 so we want to claim that promise this afternoon. 00:08:44.32\00:08:46.76 We also know that you're the light of the world, 00:08:46.79\00:08:48.39 so we ask that you light our hearts 00:08:48.42\00:08:49.89 and light those who are watching. 00:08:49.92\00:08:52.19 I know that many people have tuned in today 00:08:52.23\00:08:54.00 that have a question about this topic 00:08:54.00\00:08:56.50 and I pray that I'll be able to present it 00:08:56.53\00:08:57.87 in a humble and straightforward manner, 00:08:57.90\00:08:59.77 so that people can understand clearly 00:08:59.80\00:09:01.40 what your word teaches on this important subject, 00:09:01.44\00:09:03.64 in Jesus' name, amen. 00:09:03.67\00:09:05.47 Amen. 00:09:05.51\00:09:06.84 I've noticed recently, 00:09:06.91\00:09:08.24 we just began a revelation series 00:09:08.28\00:09:09.74 in our church 00:09:09.78\00:09:11.18 that some of the King James' Versions of the Bible 00:09:11.21\00:09:13.35 talk about the Book of Revelation 00:09:13.38\00:09:15.02 as the book, The Revelation of the St. John the Divine. 00:09:15.05\00:09:17.95 Yes. 00:09:17.99\00:09:19.32 Why don't you peek into yours and see what it says 00:09:19.35\00:09:20.69 right at the beginning of the book. 00:09:20.72\00:09:22.12 Some of you have that in there. 00:09:22.16\00:09:23.96 But if you actually read the Bible verse, 00:09:23.99\00:09:25.86 it's the Revelation of Jesus Christ, 00:09:25.89\00:09:28.50 and this is important. 00:09:28.53\00:09:29.93 So the text that goes along with 00:09:29.96\00:09:32.40 what I'm gonna share with you today 00:09:32.43\00:09:34.87 is Revelation 1:10. 00:09:34.90\00:09:39.81 Revelation 1:10. 00:09:39.84\00:09:42.34 I might also tell you that John identifies himself as the one 00:09:42.38\00:09:46.01 who's writing it in the first chapter verse one, 00:09:46.05\00:09:49.35 verse four and verse nine. 00:09:49.38\00:09:50.89 Your brother, he's on the Isle of Patmos. 00:09:50.92\00:09:53.46 By the way, do you like to learn things in the Bible? 00:09:53.49\00:09:55.82 Yes! 00:09:55.86\00:09:57.43 Several months ago, 00:09:57.46\00:09:58.79 when I was asked to present this topic, 00:09:58.83\00:10:00.20 I began studying and I actually learned a lot of things myself. 00:10:00.23\00:10:04.17 For example, I initially thought early in my life 00:10:04.23\00:10:06.60 that John was a prisoner on the Isle of Patmos 00:10:06.63\00:10:08.74 till he died. 00:10:08.77\00:10:10.11 He did not die there, are you aware of that? 00:10:10.17\00:10:11.77 Yeah. Very interesting. 00:10:11.81\00:10:13.24 We'll share that with you in just a moment. 00:10:13.27\00:10:14.64 But here is the verse now, Revelation 1:10. 00:10:14.68\00:10:17.75 John is speaking, 00:10:17.78\00:10:19.11 "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, 00:10:19.15\00:10:21.32 and I heard behind me a loud voice, 00:10:21.35\00:10:23.35 as of a trumpet." 00:10:23.39\00:10:25.02 Now this is interesting because the question 00:10:25.05\00:10:27.16 that we're dealing with today is, 00:10:27.22\00:10:29.22 "Is Sunday the Lord Day?" 00:10:29.26\00:10:31.63 Well, it doesn't say in this verse of course, 00:10:31.66\00:10:33.56 but we're gonna look at it. 00:10:33.60\00:10:34.96 And I'm gonna lay my Bible aside here 00:10:35.00\00:10:37.00 because I have actually 00:10:37.03\00:10:38.53 typed all of my texts in my notes, 00:10:38.57\00:10:41.14 but I'll tell you, 00:10:41.17\00:10:43.20 some of them will be up on the screen, 00:10:43.24\00:10:44.71 but many of them will not be, but I want you to understand 00:10:44.74\00:10:48.04 that the phrase of the Lord's Day 00:10:48.08\00:10:50.71 only occurs there's one place in the whole Bible. 00:10:50.78\00:10:54.25 Now the Bible is a great big book, of course, 00:10:54.28\00:10:56.15 and you think there would be many places, 00:10:56.18\00:10:57.52 but it's only this one place. 00:10:57.55\00:10:59.49 And it's interesting. 00:10:59.52\00:11:00.96 Also, we learn from the text if the Lord has the day, 00:11:00.99\00:11:02.56 but it doesn't say which day of the week it is. 00:11:02.59\00:11:04.89 Whether it's Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 00:11:04.93\00:11:07.10 or Saturday, or Sunday. 00:11:07.13\00:11:08.43 And it just says that he has the day. 00:11:08.46\00:11:10.17 Now there's at least four different interpretations 00:11:10.23\00:11:12.43 of this verse 00:11:12.47\00:11:13.80 and we're gonna getting some really interesting things, 00:11:13.84\00:11:15.34 so I would suggest you have a pen 00:11:15.37\00:11:17.27 because you won't be able to look up 00:11:17.31\00:11:18.74 all the verses fast enough, 00:11:18.77\00:11:20.14 but unless you're really, really fast. 00:11:20.18\00:11:22.34 Some of the people in our church 00:11:22.38\00:11:23.71 have their Bibles tab 00:11:23.75\00:11:25.08 where they can just pull open to Revelation 00:11:25.11\00:11:26.45 or Matthew or whatever if you can do that 00:11:26.48\00:11:27.88 you can go quickly. 00:11:27.92\00:11:29.25 There's four different interpretations 00:11:29.28\00:11:30.75 that have been given over the years 00:11:30.79\00:11:32.32 for what the Lord's Day means in this way. 00:11:32.35\00:11:35.56 By the way, it's interesting when early Adventist pioneers 00:11:35.59\00:11:39.09 and when the reformers were studying the Bible, 00:11:39.13\00:11:41.46 they did not have the computer systems 00:11:41.50\00:11:43.30 that we have today, 00:11:43.33\00:11:44.67 but we can say clearly 00:11:44.70\00:11:46.67 these are the only place in the whole Bible 00:11:46.70\00:11:48.67 where the words the Lord's Day appeared together in that order 00:11:48.70\00:11:51.84 because the computers help us to understand that. 00:11:51.87\00:11:54.01 So here's the interpretations. 00:11:54.04\00:11:55.38 There's four different interpretations. 00:11:55.41\00:11:57.48 The one is, the Lord's Day covers the whole gospel age 00:11:57.51\00:12:00.65 or dispensation, that's what some people believe. 00:12:00.72\00:12:02.92 It's a minority of you as well see in a minute. 00:12:02.95\00:12:04.95 The second one is the Lord's Day 00:12:04.99\00:12:06.32 is the Day of Judgment that's frequently 00:12:06.35\00:12:08.79 spoken of in scripture as the Day of the Lord. 00:12:08.82\00:12:11.33 The third view is the Lord's Day, 00:12:11.36\00:12:13.29 is the first day of the week, Sunday. 00:12:13.33\00:12:15.43 It's interesting that James Rafferty 00:12:15.46\00:12:17.90 mentioned earlier today that 00:12:17.93\00:12:19.27 some of the new paraphrases put Sunday in there. 00:12:19.30\00:12:22.54 Are you guys aware of that? 00:12:22.57\00:12:24.94 No real translation of the Bible does 00:12:24.97\00:12:26.74 because I personally in my earlier life 00:12:26.78\00:12:29.28 had three years of Greek study 00:12:29.31\00:12:30.65 from Dr. Gerhard Hasel, the late Gerhard Hasel, 00:12:30.71\00:12:33.08 who is the father of Michael Hasel 00:12:33.11\00:12:34.48 which many of you know. 00:12:34.52\00:12:36.02 At any rate, I don't usually bring Greek 00:12:36.05\00:12:39.02 into my presentations 00:12:39.05\00:12:40.42 because I think even a child should understand 00:12:40.46\00:12:41.96 what we have to say, 00:12:41.99\00:12:43.43 but the whole point I'm trying to tell you is 00:12:43.49\00:12:45.73 it's not in the Bible, the word Sunday does not occur 00:12:45.76\00:12:49.06 in English translations of the Bible at all. 00:12:49.10\00:12:52.23 The fourth one is the Lord's Day, 00:12:52.27\00:12:53.60 the Seventh-day of the week 00:12:53.67\00:12:55.00 or the Seventh-day Sabbath of the Lord. 00:12:55.04\00:12:56.37 So we're gonna address these. 00:12:56.40\00:12:57.91 And the first one is the Lord's Day 00:12:57.94\00:12:59.77 covers the whole gospel dispensation. 00:12:59.81\00:13:02.18 This is a minority view. 00:13:02.21\00:13:03.55 Only a few people believe that 00:13:03.58\00:13:04.91 because it doesn't have a lot of support. 00:13:04.95\00:13:06.65 Since the place that is the Isle of Patmos, 00:13:06.72\00:13:09.65 the day, the Lord's Day 00:13:09.68\00:13:11.52 and the person John have real existence. 00:13:11.55\00:13:13.99 It couldn't be some long period of time 00:13:14.06\00:13:16.19 has got to be a special place 00:13:16.22\00:13:17.99 and that's what, that one covers 00:13:18.03\00:13:19.86 and that didn't take too long, did it? 00:13:19.89\00:13:22.96 Number two, Lord's Day is the Day of Judgment 00:13:23.00\00:13:25.97 frequently spoken of in scriptures 00:13:26.00\00:13:27.34 as the day of the Lord. 00:13:27.40\00:13:29.64 Now this is another minority position 00:13:29.67\00:13:31.37 that lacks somewhat credibility because John had a vision, 00:13:31.41\00:13:35.21 he didn't say about our concerning the Lord's Day, 00:13:35.24\00:13:37.91 but on the Lord's Day 00:13:37.95\00:13:39.98 and that's very easy to see from the Greek as well. 00:13:40.02\00:13:42.25 He did not have any other thing in mind, 00:13:42.28\00:13:45.39 so it never means the Greek word 00:13:45.42\00:13:47.16 about or concerning, it always relates to when. 00:13:47.22\00:13:50.29 So accordingly those who refer to the Day of Judgment 00:13:50.33\00:13:52.86 as the Lord's Day 00:13:52.89\00:13:54.46 contradict the language of the scriptures itself. 00:13:54.46\00:13:57.30 Now we're gonna get into one that's very interesting 00:13:57.33\00:13:59.23 and this is the third one. 00:13:59.27\00:14:00.67 We're already into it because it's a big deal. 00:14:00.74\00:14:02.54 The Lord's Day is the first day of the week, Sunday. 00:14:02.57\00:14:05.27 Now listen carefully what I'm gonna tell you next, 00:14:05.31\00:14:07.91 99% of all Christians believe that's true. 00:14:07.94\00:14:12.71 That's over 1 billion, almost 2 billion people 00:14:12.75\00:14:15.32 believe it's true, 00:14:15.35\00:14:16.79 1% of people believe it's not Sunday. 00:14:16.82\00:14:19.49 So I'm gonna understand and tell you 00:14:19.52\00:14:21.19 something interesting as the majority opinion 00:14:21.22\00:14:22.99 in both Catholics and Protestants, 00:14:23.02\00:14:25.16 why do so many people believe that it's Sunday? 00:14:25.19\00:14:27.76 Well, I think we have a graphing up, 00:14:27.76\00:14:29.30 we'll show you what that looks like. 00:14:29.33\00:14:31.13 The reason so many people believe it is 00:14:31.17\00:14:33.23 because that's the majority opinion 00:14:33.30\00:14:34.64 most folks accept it as true. 00:14:34.67\00:14:36.71 Isn't that interesting? Yes. 00:14:36.77\00:14:38.47 The second one is, the people have been told 00:14:38.51\00:14:40.14 that Sunday is the Lord's Day by their pastor or priest, 00:14:40.18\00:14:43.61 who the people they've respected 00:14:43.65\00:14:44.98 and trusted over the years. 00:14:45.01\00:14:46.82 That's the second reason. 00:14:46.88\00:14:48.48 A third one is that many of the people 00:14:48.52\00:14:50.15 who accept this view have never actually 00:14:50.19\00:14:51.85 taken their Bible and I concordance 00:14:51.89\00:14:53.66 or computer instead of the text for themselves. 00:14:53.72\00:14:56.42 So you just carry it on as a tradition. 00:14:56.46\00:14:59.09 And then the last one, number D or fourth point. 00:14:59.13\00:15:02.73 Some folks have looked for support 00:15:02.76\00:15:04.10 for Sunday worship in the Bible. 00:15:04.17\00:15:06.30 Listen carefully now. 00:15:06.33\00:15:07.67 And finding none, latch on Revelation 1:10, 00:15:07.70\00:15:11.81 and since it does not tell us which day of the week it is 00:15:11.84\00:15:14.38 and it could be Sunday 00:15:14.41\00:15:16.31 they reason then that's the day. 00:15:16.34\00:15:18.75 But there are several reasons 00:15:18.78\00:15:20.75 I'm gonna give you a bunch of reasons. 00:15:20.82\00:15:22.78 By the way, as an attorney, 00:15:22.82\00:15:24.19 I can tell you the more evidence 00:15:24.22\00:15:25.55 you need to prove a point, the weaker your argument. 00:15:25.59\00:15:27.69 Yes, it is. Is it true? 00:15:27.72\00:15:29.22 You understand. 00:15:29.26\00:15:30.63 I don't need to say days and days and days. 00:15:30.66\00:15:32.06 So I'm just gonna give you seven reasons. 00:15:32.09\00:15:34.00 Is that a good Bible number? 00:15:34.10\00:15:35.40 Yes. Okay. 00:15:35.43\00:15:36.77 Seven reasons, why Sunday is not the Lord's Day. 00:15:36.80\00:15:40.40 The first one is the text itself. 00:15:40.44\00:15:42.34 The first Revelation 1:10 says, "Nothing about the seventh-day 00:15:42.37\00:15:45.91 or the first day of the week, 00:15:45.94\00:15:47.28 it simply says the Lord has the day of worship." 00:15:47.34\00:15:49.38 Is this true? Yes. 00:15:49.41\00:15:50.75 Okay. 00:15:50.81\00:15:52.15 The second one and there is no written Biblical 00:15:52.18\00:15:54.28 or extra Biblical record. 00:15:54.32\00:15:56.35 Extra Biblical means historical documents 00:15:56.38\00:15:58.25 from the same period of time. 00:15:58.29\00:16:00.29 The state that John was worshipping on any other day 00:16:00.32\00:16:03.12 than the Seventh-day Sabbath, 00:16:03.16\00:16:04.49 the day which he had always worshiped on. 00:16:04.53\00:16:07.03 The third one, and this is interesting. 00:16:07.03\00:16:09.96 The Sunday, the first day of the week 00:16:10.00\00:16:11.63 is never referred to as the Lord's Day in the Bible. 00:16:11.67\00:16:16.81 And this is kind of interesting because I wanted to know, 00:16:16.84\00:16:20.48 I guess I should actually write... 00:16:20.51\00:16:21.91 You guys want to know what the Bible teaches 00:16:21.94\00:16:23.35 about this, don't you? 00:16:23.38\00:16:24.71 Yes. That's the important thing. 00:16:24.75\00:16:26.08 Okay. 00:16:26.11\00:16:27.45 So it's generally understood that John was in prison 00:16:27.48\00:16:28.82 on the Isle of Patmos 00:16:28.85\00:16:30.19 by the order of the Roman Emperor Domitian 00:16:30.22\00:16:31.72 who ruled in Rome from AD 81 to 96. 00:16:31.75\00:16:35.02 It was during his banishment imprison on Patmos 00:16:35.06\00:16:37.53 that John had this vision 00:16:37.56\00:16:39.53 and wrote the Book of Revelation, 00:16:39.56\00:16:41.40 which was originally written as a letter 00:16:41.43\00:16:43.00 to the seven churches of Asia Minor. 00:16:43.03\00:16:45.30 While writing the Revelation, John never mentions 00:16:45.33\00:16:47.54 anything about the first day of the week 00:16:47.60\00:16:48.94 being the Lord's Day. 00:16:48.97\00:16:51.14 Now the next thing I'm gonna tell you is amazing 00:16:51.17\00:16:53.84 and something that I learned 00:16:53.88\00:16:55.21 and I think some of you may know it, 00:16:55.24\00:16:56.58 but most of you probably don't. 00:16:56.61\00:16:58.15 John was released from Patmos by the next Emperor of Rome, 00:16:58.18\00:17:01.18 Emperor Nerva and he returned to. 00:17:01.22\00:17:03.52 John returned Ephesus, John returned to Ephesus 00:17:03.55\00:17:05.15 where he completed his work on the Fourth Gospel. 00:17:05.19\00:17:07.89 Now this is interesting because, 00:17:07.92\00:17:10.16 accordingly many Bible scholars believe that 00:17:10.19\00:17:12.13 the Gospel of John was written after the Book of Revelation. 00:17:12.16\00:17:15.13 Here are some references. 00:17:15.16\00:17:16.67 J.N. Anders believed that 00:17:16.70\00:17:18.30 in his History of the Sabbath 00:17:18.33\00:17:19.67 and The First Day of the Week, page 163. 00:17:19.70\00:17:21.47 Uriah Smith believed it and taught it 00:17:21.50\00:17:23.10 and Daniel Revelation, page 355 00:17:23.14\00:17:25.84 and Ranko Stefanovic who's had a series here at 3ABN, 00:17:25.87\00:17:29.01 in his book, Revelation of Christ in page 4 00:17:29.04\00:17:31.58 also cites that the Book of... 00:17:31.61\00:17:34.35 The Gospel of John was written after the Book of Revelation. 00:17:34.38\00:17:37.59 And they all quote these sources, 00:17:37.62\00:17:40.16 historical scholars. 00:17:40.19\00:17:41.66 That is Augustine, Jerome, and Eusebius, 00:17:41.69\00:17:43.96 early church leaders. 00:17:44.03\00:17:45.76 Now why is this significant? Here's the reason. 00:17:45.79\00:17:48.40 It's significant to realize of the Gospel of John 00:17:48.43\00:17:50.73 was written after the Book of Revelation 00:17:50.77\00:17:52.13 because if John had been shown a vision 00:17:52.17\00:17:54.80 while incarcerated on the Island of Patmos 00:17:54.84\00:17:57.27 that Sunday was the Lord's Day 00:17:57.31\00:17:59.67 then when he mentioned 00:17:59.71\00:18:01.11 the first day of the week in the Gospel, 00:18:01.14\00:18:02.48 he would've referred to it as the Lord's Day 00:18:02.51\00:18:04.58 and not the first day of the week. 00:18:04.61\00:18:06.55 Do you understand what we're saying there? 00:18:06.58\00:18:07.92 Yes. Now this is interesting stuff. 00:18:07.95\00:18:10.05 In John's Gospel that he twice mentions 00:18:10.12\00:18:13.29 the first day of the week 00:18:13.32\00:18:14.92 and yet, in each instance word of certainly 00:18:14.96\00:18:17.16 is talking about the first day of the week. 00:18:17.19\00:18:19.26 He does not designated as the Lord's Day, 00:18:19.29\00:18:21.10 but always only the first day of the week. 00:18:21.13\00:18:23.70 This is important. 00:18:23.77\00:18:25.37 And you'll be able to see that as we go along. 00:18:25.40\00:18:27.77 All right, number six, the first day of the week 00:18:27.80\00:18:31.61 being the Lord's Day is further disproved 00:18:31.64\00:18:33.24 by the fact that neither God the Father, 00:18:33.27\00:18:35.21 nor God the Son has ever claimed 00:18:35.24\00:18:36.88 the first day of the week as his own 00:18:36.95\00:18:38.78 and any higher sense than any other day of the week. 00:18:38.81\00:18:41.45 Now do you understand what we mean? 00:18:41.48\00:18:42.82 There's no claim that God says it's any special day. 00:18:42.85\00:18:45.25 In fact, Ezekiel 46:1, you want to jot this down 00:18:45.29\00:18:49.32 because it's the only place in the Bible 00:18:49.36\00:18:50.73 where this is mentioned, but it's kind of interesting. 00:18:50.76\00:18:52.69 Ezekiel 46:1, "Thus saith the Lord God." 00:18:52.73\00:18:57.23 Now who do you think is speaking? 00:18:57.27\00:18:59.13 The Lord. Lord himself, okay? 00:18:59.17\00:19:01.70 The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east 00:19:01.74\00:19:04.14 shall be shut the six working days, 00:19:04.17\00:19:06.71 but on the Sabbath, it shall be opened. 00:19:06.74\00:19:08.84 So what is Sunday? One of the working days. 00:19:08.88\00:19:12.55 One of the working days. Very interesting to see. 00:19:12.58\00:19:14.82 Number seven point, 00:19:14.85\00:19:16.85 if Sunday were to be called the Lord's Day in honor 00:19:16.92\00:19:19.12 of Christ's resurrection on that day, 00:19:19.15\00:19:20.92 surely God would've informed us about it. 00:19:20.99\00:19:23.46 True? Yes. 00:19:23.49\00:19:25.06 He does not, though. 00:19:25.09\00:19:27.30 God also chose not to memorialize 00:19:27.36\00:19:29.03 or sanctify the crucifixion day or the day of his ascension, 00:19:29.06\00:19:32.67 so now it's time for us to consider the fourth option 00:19:32.70\00:19:35.77 and we're gonna consider that fourth option 00:19:35.80\00:19:37.94 and then spend a good deal of time on the reason 00:19:37.97\00:19:41.34 why people keep Sunday in honor, 00:19:41.38\00:19:43.95 that is the Lord's Day. 00:19:43.98\00:19:45.41 So the fourth option is the Lord's Day 00:19:45.45\00:19:47.22 is the Seventh-day Sabbath of the Lord 00:19:47.25\00:19:49.78 and I found a number of facts. 00:19:49.82\00:19:51.62 How many you think I'll tell you? 00:19:51.65\00:19:53.25 Seven. Seven. 00:19:53.29\00:19:54.62 Okay, let's look at it. 00:19:54.66\00:19:56.19 Remember, it's a whole lot more than that, 00:19:56.22\00:19:58.03 but the more evidence you need, the weaker your point, right? 00:19:58.06\00:20:00.10 Yeah. Okay. 00:20:00.13\00:20:01.43 Number one is the same one is number one 00:20:01.46\00:20:03.33 and the other one 00:20:03.37\00:20:04.70 and that is Revelation 1:10 says, 00:20:04.73\00:20:06.13 "Nothing about the seventh-day or the first day of the week. 00:20:06.17\00:20:08.07 It simply says that God has a day, 00:20:08.10\00:20:10.87 presumably a day of worship." 00:20:10.91\00:20:12.81 Though this verse does not state 00:20:12.84\00:20:14.18 which day of the Lord's Day is, 00:20:14.24\00:20:15.58 we do learn something amazing from it 00:20:15.61\00:20:17.41 and that is the Lord does have a day, 00:20:17.45\00:20:20.18 that's important to understand. 00:20:20.22\00:20:21.92 So I think that's something 00:20:21.95\00:20:24.99 we'll look at even more detail in just a moment. 00:20:25.02\00:20:27.76 The second reason that we're talking about 00:20:27.79\00:20:29.39 is the Sabbath. 00:20:29.42\00:20:30.79 The Lord himself said he is Lord of the Sabbath. 00:20:30.83\00:20:33.50 Amen. 00:20:33.56\00:20:34.86 Now I'm gonna give you something interesting. 00:20:34.93\00:20:36.93 Do you guys understand 00:20:37.00\00:20:38.33 what we meant by the Three Synoptic Gospels? 00:20:38.37\00:20:40.77 Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Matthew, Mark, and Luke. 00:20:40.80\00:20:42.34 Why do we say that? 00:20:42.37\00:20:44.14 All of them present a similar story. 00:20:44.17\00:20:46.14 Now one of the reasons why John is probably not considered 00:20:46.17\00:20:48.28 a synoptic gospels. 00:20:48.31\00:20:49.64 Remember, it was written after Revelation. 00:20:49.68\00:20:51.18 It wasn't written at the same time. 00:20:51.21\00:20:52.55 And so he had this additional knowledge, 00:20:52.58\00:20:54.75 pretty interesting. 00:20:54.78\00:20:56.12 But during the three and a half years 00:20:56.15\00:20:57.52 of Jesus public ministry 00:20:57.55\00:20:58.89 he was dogged almost constantly by those 00:20:58.92\00:21:00.32 who tried to trick him. 00:21:00.36\00:21:02.29 You guys remember that, 00:21:02.32\00:21:03.66 there are always who somebody asking the lawyers 00:21:03.73\00:21:05.06 and other people asking him questions 00:21:05.09\00:21:06.83 and they were trying to get him to say something 00:21:06.90\00:21:09.60 almost like the reporters do today 00:21:09.63\00:21:11.87 that they could criticize him over. 00:21:11.90\00:21:13.94 Everybody understand what we're saying there? 00:21:14.00\00:21:15.60 Okay, so these paparazzi like 00:21:15.64\00:21:17.91 people seem to always be present to criticize Jesus. 00:21:17.94\00:21:20.64 Some of them, experts describe them 00:21:20.68\00:21:23.04 as stalkers on one such occasion 00:21:23.08\00:21:26.05 and listen that's recorded in Matthew, Mark, and Luke, 00:21:26.08\00:21:28.32 all three synoptic gospels. 00:21:28.35\00:21:30.45 It's Matthew 12:1-8 and Mark 2:23-28 00:21:30.49\00:21:34.12 and Luke 6:1-5. 00:21:34.16\00:21:36.59 The event happened on the Sabbath day. 00:21:36.62\00:21:39.43 Now I'm gonna tell you something interesting. 00:21:39.46\00:21:41.56 Jesus performed seven of his major miracles 00:21:41.60\00:21:45.37 on the Sabbath. 00:21:45.40\00:21:46.90 Healing people like the man at the Pool of Bethesda, 00:21:46.97\00:21:48.97 the man with the withered hand and so on, 00:21:49.00\00:21:50.44 and the reason he did that was to show people 00:21:50.47\00:21:52.11 that it is lawful to do what. 00:21:52.14\00:21:53.51 Good. 00:21:53.54\00:21:54.88 Good on the Sabbath, 00:21:54.91\00:21:56.24 because the people had put these all of these laws 00:21:56.28\00:21:57.61 around the Sabbath making it very difficult 00:21:57.65\00:21:59.21 to have the Sabbath as a delight 00:21:59.25\00:22:00.75 or the worship in reference to it in anyway. 00:22:00.82\00:22:03.59 So in this particular occasion, 00:22:03.62\00:22:04.95 it also happened on the Sabbath. 00:22:04.99\00:22:06.86 These references record that Jesus 00:22:06.89\00:22:08.42 and his disciples were walking through some grain fields. 00:22:08.46\00:22:11.09 Now I've actually done this myself, 00:22:11.13\00:22:12.49 some of you here probably have done that 00:22:12.53\00:22:14.20 and you can take your hand and your thumb and your fingers 00:22:14.20\00:22:16.23 and strip off the grain seeds 00:22:16.26\00:22:18.30 and then you rub them in your hand 00:22:18.33\00:22:19.67 and blow off the chaff and you can chew those up 00:22:19.70\00:22:21.64 and it kind of gets gluten in like, 00:22:21.67\00:22:23.04 gum almost that sweet. 00:22:23.07\00:22:25.64 The disciples were doing that, 00:22:25.67\00:22:27.91 but the religious paparazzi criticized Jesus 00:22:27.94\00:22:30.21 and His disciples for "harvesting" 00:22:30.25\00:22:32.61 on the Sabbath. 00:22:32.65\00:22:34.62 So Jesus response to the critics 00:22:34.65\00:22:36.22 was profound and enlightening. 00:22:36.25\00:22:38.99 And I want you to understand this is very, very important 00:22:39.02\00:22:41.42 that I'm telling you now. 00:22:41.46\00:22:42.96 So open your Bibles to Mark 2 00:22:42.99\00:22:45.03 and we're gonna look at verses 27 and 28. 00:22:45.06\00:22:47.00 This is the setting now when the disciples 00:22:47.03\00:22:49.13 are stripped off the wheat and eaten that. 00:22:49.16\00:22:51.00 Mark 2:27-28. And there's a word there. 00:22:51.03\00:22:55.60 There are two words that you should probably note 00:22:55.64\00:22:57.34 and maybe underline, Mark 2:27-28. 00:22:57.37\00:23:00.78 It's in the setting of being criticized of harvesting 00:23:00.81\00:23:03.11 on the Sabbath that Jesus says. 00:23:03.14\00:23:05.18 Now it's really amazing what they're saying 00:23:05.21\00:23:07.88 because they don't realize what they're doing, of course. 00:23:07.92\00:23:10.39 But I have it written in my notes here, 00:23:10.42\00:23:11.82 so I'll just read it from the notes. 00:23:11.85\00:23:13.22 And he said to them "The Sabbath," 00:23:13.25\00:23:14.79 what's the next two words? 00:23:14.82\00:23:16.16 Was made. 00:23:16.19\00:23:17.53 "...was made for a man and not man for the Sabbath. 00:23:17.56\00:23:21.00 Therefore, the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath." 00:23:21.03\00:23:25.10 Now this, to me, is very significant. 00:23:25.13\00:23:27.40 What did Jesus mean by the fact that he said, 00:23:27.44\00:23:29.77 "The Sabbath was made for man." 00:23:29.80\00:23:33.44 Was made for man. 00:23:33.48\00:23:35.08 Well, how could he say that he was Lord of the Sabbath? 00:23:35.11\00:23:37.35 Well, here's the real interesting statement. 00:23:37.41\00:23:39.41 The true God is revealed in scriptures 00:23:39.45\00:23:41.82 the one who made the heavens and the earth. 00:23:41.85\00:23:43.75 Amen. 00:23:43.79\00:23:45.12 So Kathy and I few years ago 00:23:45.15\00:23:47.52 were able to go on a mission trip 00:23:47.56\00:23:49.79 over evangelistic meeting to India 00:23:49.82\00:23:52.19 and we knew that many of the people 00:23:52.23\00:23:53.56 where we were speaking would be from Hindu backgrounds, 00:23:53.60\00:23:55.93 so we decided to study a little bit about Hinduism 00:23:55.96\00:23:57.80 and we found that they had, somebody said 300 million, 00:23:57.83\00:24:00.34 but I believe it's closer to 300,000 gods, 00:24:00.37\00:24:02.84 still the big number. 00:24:02.87\00:24:04.21 Right. So I tell him about Jesus. 00:24:04.24\00:24:05.71 and say thanks, we got 300,001 now. 00:24:05.74\00:24:07.88 What's next? 00:24:07.91\00:24:10.28 But when you tell him, he made everything. 00:24:10.35\00:24:12.41 That makes a big difference. Yes. 00:24:12.45\00:24:14.32 He's the king of kings, and lord of lords. 00:24:14.35\00:24:15.75 He created everything, he made everything. 00:24:15.78\00:24:17.32 So I'm gonna tell you about three verses in the Bible 00:24:17.39\00:24:21.19 that tell us in the New Testament 00:24:21.22\00:24:23.73 that Jesus Christ, the incarnate savior 00:24:23.76\00:24:25.73 of the world was the creator of everything. 00:24:25.76\00:24:29.73 So we're gonna look at one in the Bible. 00:24:29.76\00:24:31.23 You can open your Bibles to the Gospel of John, 00:24:31.27\00:24:33.60 which John, the Revelator of course, wrote that also. 00:24:33.64\00:24:36.07 John 1:1, most of you can find that very interesting 00:24:36.10\00:24:39.94 and very easily. 00:24:39.97\00:24:42.08 So while you're turning there, 00:24:42.11\00:24:43.65 I must tell you that it's John 1, 00:24:43.71\00:24:46.15 Colossians 1, and Hebrews 1, 00:24:46.18\00:24:49.38 that all say that Jesus Christ, the Son of God 00:24:49.42\00:24:51.45 was the creator of... 00:24:51.49\00:24:52.89 What's the next word? 00:24:52.92\00:24:54.26 Everything. 00:24:54.29\00:24:55.62 Okay, so let's go to John 1:1-3. 00:24:55.66\00:24:58.73 In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God 00:24:58.76\00:25:01.33 and the word was God. 00:25:01.36\00:25:02.86 He was in the beginning with God. 00:25:02.90\00:25:04.73 All things, what's the nest two words? 00:25:04.77\00:25:07.47 Were made by him or through him 00:25:07.54\00:25:10.01 and without him nothing was made that was made. 00:25:10.04\00:25:13.41 So if everything that was made was made by him. 00:25:13.48\00:25:16.38 Who created the Sabbath? Jesus Christ did. 00:25:16.41\00:25:19.68 And this is interesting. Now how do we know it's Jesus? 00:25:19.71\00:25:21.98 Because we're talking about the word primarily 00:25:22.02\00:25:24.35 because it says in verse 14, 00:25:24.39\00:25:26.29 "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, 00:25:26.32\00:25:28.02 would be all his glory, the glory is the only begotten 00:25:28.06\00:25:30.33 of the Father full of grace and truth." 00:25:30.36\00:25:33.50 So we're gonna look at something very interesting. 00:25:33.53\00:25:36.53 Go back to Genesis now, Chapter 2, 00:25:36.56\00:25:40.10 it's quite interesting. 00:25:40.14\00:25:42.80 We have the clear testimony of the New Testament writers 00:25:42.84\00:25:46.24 from John and Colossians 00:25:46.27\00:25:47.98 and Paul's writings to the Colossians and Hebrews, 00:25:48.01\00:25:51.35 that's the writers... 00:25:51.38\00:25:52.85 The Son of God, the Savior from sin, 00:25:52.88\00:25:54.52 the Creator of Heaven was also the Creator of Heaven 00:25:54.55\00:25:56.48 and Earth, and its sustainer. 00:25:56.52\00:25:59.05 So I'm just gonna tell you how could Jesus say 00:25:59.09\00:26:02.62 that he was the Sabbath was made for man 00:26:02.66\00:26:05.36 and that he was Lord of the Sabbath. 00:26:05.39\00:26:07.13 Listen carefully because he created man 00:26:07.13\00:26:09.33 on the sixth-day of creation 00:26:09.36\00:26:11.03 and the Sabbath on the seventh-day 00:26:11.07\00:26:12.57 and he also blessed it there. 00:26:12.60\00:26:14.30 He made it. 00:26:14.34\00:26:15.67 So let's take a look again at the Bible. 00:26:15.70\00:26:17.67 The Bible begins with perhaps the most famous line 00:26:17.71\00:26:19.94 in the history of literature. 00:26:19.97\00:26:21.81 In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth, 00:26:21.84\00:26:26.15 but the rest of creation story follows. 00:26:26.18\00:26:28.48 God created light, the atmosphere, the dry land, 00:26:28.52\00:26:31.32 the vegetation, the seas, the sun, the moon, the stars, 00:26:31.35\00:26:34.36 creatures of the water in the air 00:26:34.39\00:26:35.72 and on the sixth-day, God created 00:26:35.76\00:26:37.73 land dwelling animals and finally, on the sixth-day, 00:26:37.76\00:26:41.40 God created human being, man and woman in his own image. 00:26:41.43\00:26:44.87 And we of course, know them as Adam and Eve. 00:26:44.90\00:26:47.54 Many people mistakenly believe 00:26:47.60\00:26:50.61 the creation occurred over six days. 00:26:50.67\00:26:53.98 Now we're gonna look at Genesis 2 00:26:54.04\00:26:56.54 and we're gonna see something very amazing. 00:26:56.58\00:26:59.45 He wasn't finished yet at the end of six days 00:26:59.48\00:27:02.08 because it says in Chapter 2:2, what does it say there? 00:27:02.12\00:27:07.09 And on the seventh-day, 00:27:07.12\00:27:09.26 God ended his work, not the sixth-day. 00:27:09.29\00:27:12.59 Isn't that interesting? 00:27:12.63\00:27:14.10 Which he had made and he rested on the Sabbath Day, 00:27:14.13\00:27:16.40 seventh-day from all his work which he had made. 00:27:16.43\00:27:18.47 You get the "had made" in there again, had made everything 00:27:18.50\00:27:21.07 that was made was made. 00:27:21.10\00:27:22.44 He made the Sabbath for man. 00:27:22.47\00:27:24.74 The Bible tells us that on the seventh-day 00:27:24.77\00:27:26.37 of creation week God created and made the Sabbath day 00:27:26.41\00:27:29.41 as the capstone of all creation. 00:27:29.44\00:27:32.01 It is the day for humanity to rest from work 00:27:32.05\00:27:34.12 and commune with God as on no other day of the week. 00:27:34.15\00:27:36.42 The Sabbath was blessed and made holy for that purpose. 00:27:36.45\00:27:40.46 Jesus could say that the Sabbath was made for a man 00:27:40.49\00:27:43.02 that he was Lord of the Sabbath because 00:27:43.06\00:27:44.56 he created both of them. 00:27:44.59\00:27:46.46 Who could argue with that? 00:27:46.49\00:27:49.43 Is this incredible or not? You understand? 00:27:49.46\00:27:52.30 Now the third one of why the Lord's Day 00:27:52.33\00:27:55.60 is the Sabbath is the Fourth Commandment itself. 00:27:55.64\00:27:59.77 Now this is very, very interesting. 00:27:59.81\00:28:02.51 Most of you here are computer literate, 00:28:02.54\00:28:04.65 at least as much as me. 00:28:04.68\00:28:07.45 I need help from young people a lot, but, you know, 00:28:07.48\00:28:09.38 I've written my books and so on 00:28:09.42\00:28:10.75 using the word program and so on. 00:28:10.82\00:28:12.79 But anyway, I can just tell you that. 00:28:12.82\00:28:14.82 If you were to go on the Vatican website, 00:28:14.86\00:28:16.86 which is vatican.ca and look for Ten Commandments, 00:28:16.89\00:28:20.73 you're gonna find something very amazing. 00:28:20.76\00:28:24.07 When the Ten Commandments come up, 00:28:24.10\00:28:25.70 they're gonna have from Exodus 20, 00:28:25.73\00:28:28.57 the first commandment, 00:28:28.60\00:28:30.11 the second commandment verses 4, 5, and 6 is deleted. 00:28:30.14\00:28:35.51 You'll be okay with that part? 00:28:35.54\00:28:37.05 No. No. 00:28:37.08\00:28:38.61 The Bible says in Revelation 22:18-19, 00:28:38.65\00:28:41.95 "If you add anything to it or take anything away, 00:28:41.98\00:28:44.85 you're gonna get the Plagues and the Mark of the Beast." 00:28:44.89\00:28:46.69 Yes. 00:28:46.76\00:28:48.09 That's some we don't want, isn't it? 00:28:48.12\00:28:49.46 Okay. 00:28:49.49\00:28:50.83 Well, at any rate, I'm gonna tell you 00:28:50.86\00:28:52.19 something interesting. 00:28:52.23\00:28:53.56 Since the Second Commandment is totally removed, 00:28:53.60\00:28:56.20 everything has to move up a little bit 00:28:56.23\00:28:58.27 so the Third Commandment is the one 00:28:58.30\00:29:00.47 that's about the Sabbath. 00:29:00.50\00:29:02.04 And it does not say, 00:29:02.07\00:29:03.44 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 00:29:03.47\00:29:04.81 Six days shall you labor and do all your work, et cetera." 00:29:04.84\00:29:06.57 It says, "Remember to keep holy the Lord's Day." 00:29:06.61\00:29:09.34 One little sentence. 00:29:09.38\00:29:10.71 "Remember to keep only the Lord's Day," 00:29:10.78\00:29:12.21 which is not Biblical at all. 00:29:12.25\00:29:14.38 He is thinking to change times and laws. 00:29:14.42\00:29:18.05 Do you understand? 00:29:18.09\00:29:19.42 Now this is interesting because I'll just read to it. 00:29:19.45\00:29:22.12 The sanctity of the Sabbath was so important to God 00:29:22.16\00:29:24.43 that he placed it in shrine in the Ten Commandments, 00:29:24.46\00:29:27.56 written on stone with the finger of God. 00:29:27.60\00:29:30.97 So it says, remember the Sabbath day, 00:29:31.00\00:29:32.63 this is Exodus 20:8-11 to keep it holy. 00:29:32.67\00:29:37.34 Now listen carefully, 00:29:37.41\00:29:38.84 none of us could make anything holy 00:29:38.87\00:29:40.78 no matter how great we are, isn't it true? 00:29:40.81\00:29:42.94 Only God can make something holy. 00:29:42.98\00:29:44.61 We can keep it holy, 00:29:44.65\00:29:46.08 but we can't make anything holy. 00:29:46.11\00:29:48.02 So it's interesting, six days you shall labor. 00:29:48.05\00:29:50.39 Remember what we just read in Ezekiel 46:1? 00:29:50.42\00:29:52.79 Yes. Yes. 00:29:52.82\00:29:54.16 The six working days and then the Sabbath, 00:29:54.19\00:29:56.96 six days you shall labor and do all thy word. 00:29:57.03\00:29:59.13 If you ever wondered what it means to do all your work? 00:29:59.16\00:30:02.73 Well, most of us have that jobs through our lives 00:30:02.76\00:30:04.57 and some of us work five days a week, 00:30:04.60\00:30:06.07 some work six days, 00:30:06.10\00:30:07.44 but in addition to what you do for your income 00:30:07.50\00:30:09.34 you've got stuff, you've got to do around the house, 00:30:09.37\00:30:11.47 that's your labor. 00:30:11.51\00:30:12.84 Who's gonna mow the yard if you don't do it? 00:30:12.87\00:30:14.58 You understand those kind of things. 00:30:14.61\00:30:15.94 Who's gonna wash your car if you don't do it? 00:30:15.98\00:30:17.35 Who's gonna change the oil? You understand. 00:30:17.41\00:30:19.31 That's your work, 00:30:19.35\00:30:20.68 but some of you don't get paid for, 00:30:20.72\00:30:22.05 but it's part of your life, all the housework 00:30:22.08\00:30:23.45 and all those kind of things. 00:30:23.49\00:30:24.82 So you have six days to do that, 00:30:24.85\00:30:26.39 even things that we typically think 00:30:26.42\00:30:28.82 of our ladies work or whatever, 00:30:28.86\00:30:30.39 should they rest on Sabbath, too? 00:30:30.43\00:30:31.79 Yes. You get the point. Okay. 00:30:31.83\00:30:33.96 So but the seventh-day 00:30:34.00\00:30:35.30 is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God. 00:30:35.33\00:30:37.13 So he claims the Sabbath. 00:30:37.20\00:30:38.53 I say, "It's the Sabbath of the Lord thy God, 00:30:38.57\00:30:40.10 in it thou shalt not do any work and so on." 00:30:40.17\00:30:42.24 Now here's something amazing. 00:30:42.27\00:30:44.87 Most of the references in the Bible 00:30:44.91\00:30:47.31 including the First Angels' Message 00:30:47.34\00:30:49.64 refer back to creation, isn't this true? 00:30:49.68\00:30:53.08 Yes. So notice this one. 00:30:53.11\00:30:54.52 It's very interesting. 00:30:54.55\00:30:55.88 This is the reason... 00:30:55.92\00:30:57.72 This is verse 11. 00:30:57.75\00:31:00.46 Excuse me, Exodus 20:11. 00:31:00.49\00:31:02.32 Four or because in six days, the Lord made heaven and earth, 00:31:02.36\00:31:05.06 the sea, and all lives in them, rested the seventh-day, 00:31:05.09\00:31:07.60 wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day 00:31:07.66\00:31:09.76 and hallowed it. 00:31:09.80\00:31:11.30 By the way, it's also interesting to understand 00:31:11.33\00:31:13.54 that the Ten Commandments are actually given twice 00:31:13.60\00:31:15.87 in the Bible, most of you know that. 00:31:15.90\00:31:17.74 Exodus 20, the second place is Deuteronomy 5:4-5 in that area. 00:31:17.77\00:31:23.45 The most interesting part about it 00:31:23.51\00:31:25.28 is that they're almost always the same, 00:31:25.31\00:31:28.18 but in the Deuteronomy account, 00:31:28.22\00:31:30.75 it says something interesting, not because the Lord created, 00:31:30.79\00:31:33.92 but the Lord brought you out of the Land of Egypt. 00:31:33.96\00:31:37.76 Are you glad that God has found you in your life 00:31:37.79\00:31:39.73 and brought you out of darkness and the bondage? 00:31:39.76\00:31:42.26 I know I am, you can just think about it. 00:31:42.30\00:31:44.87 Okay, now let's go to our fourth point. 00:31:44.90\00:31:48.87 God speaking through the Prophet Isaiah 00:31:48.90\00:31:50.67 calls the Sabbath, "My Holy Day." 00:31:50.74\00:31:54.04 He never ever says that about Sunday. 00:31:54.11\00:31:56.88 Is this true? Yes. 00:31:56.91\00:31:58.58 You understand. 00:31:58.61\00:31:59.95 So if you want to look at Isaiah 58:13-14, 00:32:00.05\00:32:01.88 I'm gonna read it from my notes, 00:32:01.92\00:32:03.25 but you can jot it down. 00:32:03.28\00:32:04.79 Isaiah 58:13-14, 00:32:04.82\00:32:06.15 if you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, 00:32:06.19\00:32:07.96 from doing your pleasure on my holy day, 00:32:07.99\00:32:11.66 and call the Sabbath a delight, the Holy of the Lord, 00:32:11.69\00:32:13.43 honorable and shall honor him, not doing thine own ways, 00:32:13.50\00:32:15.83 you're finding thine own pleasure, 00:32:15.86\00:32:17.23 speaking your own words. 00:32:17.27\00:32:18.60 Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord, 00:32:18.63\00:32:20.10 and I will cause thee to ride 00:32:20.14\00:32:21.47 on the high places of the earth, 00:32:21.50\00:32:22.84 and feed you with the heritage of Jacob thy father, 00:32:22.87\00:32:24.37 for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it." 00:32:24.41\00:32:26.34 Now I want to tell you one other interesting thing. 00:32:26.37\00:32:28.44 Did anybody remember the three verses 00:32:28.48\00:32:30.05 I just told you were dropped out 00:32:30.11\00:32:31.45 by the Catholic Church out of the Ten Commandments? 00:32:31.48\00:32:33.88 Exodus 20:4, 5, 6. 00:32:33.92\00:32:38.85 Now listen to what I want to tell you. 00:32:38.89\00:32:41.29 Verse six says, that God shows mercy to those who love him 00:32:41.32\00:32:45.26 and keep his commandments. 00:32:45.29\00:32:46.70 Is that amazing or not? 00:32:46.76\00:32:48.63 It also says the same thing in Deuteronomy 00:32:48.66\00:32:51.60 when you look at it in Deuteronomy. 00:32:51.63\00:32:53.40 It's amazing. 00:32:53.47\00:32:56.67 Which brings us to something that's a very favorite verse 00:32:56.74\00:32:59.87 of Seventh-day Adventist, John 14:15, Jesus said, 00:32:59.91\00:33:02.71 "If you love me, keep my commandments." 00:33:02.74\00:33:05.58 He is quoting the Second Commandment. 00:33:05.61\00:33:08.48 Is this incredible or not? Yes. 00:33:08.52\00:33:10.39 If you love me, keep my commandments. 00:33:10.42\00:33:12.29 And that's the one people dropped 00:33:12.32\00:33:13.66 out of the commandments, very amazing. 00:33:13.69\00:33:15.89 So he calls it my holy day. 00:33:15.92\00:33:18.56 This passage is a direct quote from God 00:33:18.59\00:33:20.60 in which he calls the Sabbath My Holy Day. 00:33:20.63\00:33:22.16 Throughout the Old Testament and New Testament, 00:33:22.20\00:33:23.63 lot of faithful people have been Sunday-keeper. 00:33:23.67\00:33:26.60 Unfortunately, 00:33:26.63\00:33:28.87 once written with the finger of God on stone 00:33:28.90\00:33:30.71 the Biblical Sabbath is gone the way of the dodo bird. 00:33:30.77\00:33:33.68 It's almost extinct. 00:33:33.74\00:33:35.21 Is this true? Yes. 00:33:35.24\00:33:37.11 Now it's not here at 3ABN, you understand. 00:33:37.15\00:33:39.91 But if you're in a group of a hundred people 00:33:39.98\00:33:41.35 that are calling themselves Christian, 00:33:41.38\00:33:42.72 you're gonna be the only one that keeps the Sabbath. 00:33:42.75\00:33:44.09 Amen. 00:33:44.15\00:33:45.49 So how in a world could you ever be right? 00:33:45.52\00:33:47.62 I'm gonna show you how in just a few minutes. 00:33:47.66\00:33:50.19 Number five, God in His word 00:33:50.23\00:33:52.83 frequently refers to the Sabbath 00:33:52.86\00:33:54.20 in a possessive way calling it My Sabbath. 00:33:54.23\00:33:57.73 He never refers to Sunday the first day of the week 00:33:57.77\00:33:59.83 as my Sunday or my first day. 00:33:59.87\00:34:02.90 I know this is true 00:34:02.94\00:34:04.31 because we researched it in computers and so on. 00:34:04.34\00:34:07.11 There are 15 references in the Bible 00:34:07.18\00:34:09.38 in which God claims the Sabbath. 00:34:09.41\00:34:11.15 He says the Sabbath is his day. 00:34:11.18\00:34:13.62 These three texts are represented in 00:34:13.65\00:34:15.48 and the ones I'll tell you is Exodus 31:12-13. 00:34:15.52\00:34:19.25 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 00:34:19.29\00:34:21.06 "Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, 00:34:21.09\00:34:22.62 Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep, 00:34:22.66\00:34:25.19 for it is a sign between me an you 00:34:25.23\00:34:27.00 throughout your generations, that ye may know 00:34:27.03\00:34:28.33 that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you. 00:34:28.36\00:34:30.97 Now listen carefully, 00:34:31.00\00:34:32.33 if somebody drives by your local church on Sabbath 00:34:32.37\00:34:34.84 and sees a bunch of cars there, what could they think? 00:34:34.87\00:34:39.64 There are those goofy people 00:34:39.67\00:34:41.01 that trying to work their way to heaven, right? 00:34:41.04\00:34:43.41 Yeah. Yeah. 00:34:43.45\00:34:44.78 But the Bible says 00:34:44.81\00:34:46.15 they are the ones that trust God to sanctify them. 00:34:46.18\00:34:48.65 Amen. 00:34:48.68\00:34:50.05 Does it say that, what I just read to you? 00:34:50.09\00:34:51.79 Exodus 31:12-13, 00:34:51.82\00:34:54.36 "That you may know that I am the Lord 00:34:54.39\00:34:55.72 that sanctify you." 00:34:55.76\00:34:57.09 So what they should really say they are the people 00:34:57.13\00:34:58.53 that are trusting God to take care of them. 00:34:58.56\00:34:59.89 By the grace of Almighty God, they're honoring him. 00:34:59.96\00:35:02.50 Do you understand? That's the point. 00:35:02.53\00:35:04.30 And then there's another one Leviticus... 00:35:04.33\00:35:08.04 There are 15 of them, I was just gonna mention three, 00:35:08.07\00:35:10.04 Leviticus 26:2, "You shall keep my Sabbaths, 00:35:10.11\00:35:13.14 and reverence my sanctuary, I am the Lord." 00:35:13.17\00:35:16.21 And Ezekiel 12 says something interesting. 00:35:16.24\00:35:18.31 "Moreover I gave them my Sabbaths to be a sign." 00:35:18.35\00:35:21.35 What's the sign? What's that mean? 00:35:21.38\00:35:23.62 Some indication to people. 00:35:23.69\00:35:25.35 They may know that I am the Lord that sanctified them. 00:35:25.39\00:35:27.86 So we're gonna point number six 00:35:27.89\00:35:29.89 and then when we're gonna get into this big conclusion. 00:35:29.92\00:35:33.53 "John the Revelator, 00:35:33.60\00:35:35.90 the author of Revelation was a Jewish writer 00:35:35.93\00:35:38.07 who had been nourished by the Hebrew Scriptures 00:35:38.10\00:35:40.30 and steeped in the good habit 00:35:40.34\00:35:41.67 of honoring the Lord on his day." 00:35:41.70\00:35:45.21 So I think in addition to the history 00:35:45.24\00:35:48.01 it does not refer to the Lord's Day, Sunday 00:35:48.04\00:35:49.84 until the second century AD near the end. 00:35:49.88\00:35:52.55 It's 190 AD until 00:35:52.58\00:35:54.52 anybody ever writes anything about Sunday 00:35:54.55\00:35:56.32 being the Lord's Day. 00:35:56.35\00:35:57.69 This is interesting. 00:35:57.72\00:35:59.05 By the way, some early scholars 00:35:59.09\00:36:00.59 like, J. N. Anders studied the Ante-Nicene fathers, 00:36:00.62\00:36:03.49 you know, the writings of the people 00:36:03.56\00:36:04.89 after the disciples that passed away 00:36:04.93\00:36:07.30 up until the Council of Nicaea. 00:36:07.36\00:36:09.70 So what we're gonna look at is this, 00:36:09.73\00:36:12.40 as God spent the first Sabbath 00:36:12.43\00:36:13.94 with Adam and Eve in the beginning, 00:36:13.97\00:36:15.37 Genesis 2:1-3, 00:36:15.40\00:36:17.14 "So God comes close to the aging Apostle John 00:36:17.21\00:36:19.37 on the lonely Island of Patmos." 00:36:19.41\00:36:21.38 You understand, my friends, 00:36:21.41\00:36:22.78 that John was not there on holiday. 00:36:22.81\00:36:26.35 He was working in the rock quarries through the week. 00:36:26.38\00:36:29.05 Apparently took Sabbath of whether they liked it or not 00:36:29.08\00:36:31.79 and he was in the spirit on the Lord's Day, 00:36:31.82\00:36:34.42 which I say is Sabbath. 00:36:34.46\00:36:36.26 He had a vision concerning the conclusion 00:36:36.29\00:36:38.26 of the plan of salvation and the great controversy. 00:36:38.29\00:36:41.06 The Sabbath of the Lord was bless to made holy 00:36:41.10\00:36:42.96 on the seventh-day of creation and set in motion, 00:36:43.00\00:36:45.33 a weekly cycle that does not depend 00:36:45.37\00:36:48.37 on any celestial body at all. 00:36:48.40\00:36:52.71 Most of your likely were that tonight is the full moon. 00:36:52.74\00:36:55.51 The reason that I mention that is because 00:36:55.54\00:36:57.31 it's not based on the lunar cycle, 00:36:57.35\00:36:59.51 on the sun cycle 00:36:59.55\00:37:01.18 or on the rotation of the Earth. 00:37:01.22\00:37:02.78 Is this true? 00:37:02.82\00:37:04.15 It's based on the creation week and that's the end of it. 00:37:04.22\00:37:07.82 Okay, we're gonna look at another one 00:37:07.86\00:37:11.96 and that is from our brief and yet, 00:37:11.99\00:37:13.83 thorough study it's quite clear from the Bible record 00:37:13.86\00:37:16.40 that the Lord's Day is not Sunday, 00:37:16.43\00:37:17.97 the first day of the week, it is equally clear 00:37:18.00\00:37:19.93 that the Lord's Day is the Sabbath 00:37:19.97\00:37:21.30 of the seventh-day of the week. 00:37:21.34\00:37:23.34 Now the big question is, if this is true, 00:37:23.41\00:37:26.04 why this is the majority question, 00:37:26.07\00:37:28.31 what a majority of Christians think that 00:37:28.34\00:37:29.74 Sunday as the Lord's Day? 00:37:29.78\00:37:31.51 Why do many sincere believers come to this conclusion? 00:37:31.55\00:37:35.15 So that's what we're gonna look at right now. 00:37:35.18\00:37:38.82 The answer to these questions is found in the Bible 00:37:38.85\00:37:41.29 and in history, study of history. 00:37:41.32\00:37:43.43 There's a strange pattern of apostasy in the Bible, 00:37:43.46\00:37:46.59 well, turning away from God and Bible truth 00:37:46.63\00:37:48.93 and both the old in the New Testament records. 00:37:48.96\00:37:51.33 It is so amazing how many people 00:37:51.37\00:37:53.34 when they were talking to the Israelites 00:37:53.40\00:37:55.24 God's leader's talk of them when you fall away, 00:37:55.27\00:37:57.57 you can look back toward Jerusalem and pray 00:37:57.61\00:37:58.97 and God will try to rescue you. 00:37:59.01\00:38:00.41 You remember that? 00:38:00.44\00:38:01.78 Solomon, we dedicate the temple, said that. 00:38:01.81\00:38:03.71 So here's a strange truth. 00:38:03.78\00:38:05.51 The Bible records even predicts that 00:38:05.55\00:38:06.98 God's people will fall away from his will. 00:38:07.05\00:38:09.08 Judges 21:25 says, 00:38:09.12\00:38:11.62 "In those days there was no king in Israel 00:38:11.65\00:38:14.56 and every man did what was right in his own eyes." 00:38:14.59\00:38:17.26 They were doing their own thing. 00:38:17.29\00:38:18.63 This is like extreme tolerance. 00:38:18.66\00:38:20.46 I'm okay, you're okay, that kind of thing. 00:38:20.53\00:38:22.73 So listen to this and see if you agree with it. 00:38:22.76\00:38:24.93 You don't agree with it, but you know it's true. 00:38:24.97\00:38:27.87 When Moses and Joshua passed away 00:38:27.90\00:38:30.21 and just a few short years, 00:38:30.24\00:38:31.84 God's people who had been led across the Red Sea 00:38:31.87\00:38:36.44 and the Jordan River on dry ground, 00:38:36.48\00:38:39.05 the ones that had been fed manna from heaven 00:38:39.08\00:38:40.82 six days a week for 40 years. 00:38:40.85\00:38:43.59 Yes, that group began to worship idols 00:38:43.62\00:38:46.65 and even came to the point of sacrificing 00:38:46.69\00:38:48.29 their own children to the false gods. 00:38:48.32\00:38:50.63 This is incredible. 00:38:50.66\00:38:52.33 Is there a falling away you understand 00:38:52.36\00:38:53.80 that we're talking about? 00:38:53.83\00:38:55.13 Okay. 00:38:55.16\00:38:56.50 It's interesting that in 605 BC, 00:38:56.53\00:38:58.80 the armies of Nebuchadnezzar, 00:38:58.83\00:39:00.27 the King of Babylon beseech Jerusalem. 00:39:00.30\00:39:02.44 Well, I would just tell you something interesting. 00:39:02.47\00:39:04.77 First, I'll mention this one. 00:39:04.81\00:39:06.31 It's hard to imagine this, 00:39:06.34\00:39:07.71 but happening as you can recall from your Bible reading 00:39:07.74\00:39:10.78 that things got so bad in Israel. 00:39:10.81\00:39:12.88 Remember, they were divided kingdom of ten tribes 00:39:12.91\00:39:14.62 and the two tribes due to Benjamin. 00:39:14.65\00:39:16.75 The two tribes down in Jerusalem, 00:39:16.82\00:39:19.35 but the ten tribes were overthrown by the Assyrians 00:39:19.39\00:39:22.42 and they were taken captive 00:39:22.46\00:39:23.89 assimilated into the pagan society 00:39:23.96\00:39:26.09 and listened carefully, were never heard from again. 00:39:26.13\00:39:31.07 We called the ten lost tribes of Israel 00:39:31.10\00:39:33.13 religion never came back, 00:39:33.17\00:39:34.97 never ever heard from again. 00:39:35.00\00:39:36.81 So in 605 BC, about 100 years later 00:39:36.84\00:39:39.41 Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon beseech Jerusalem, 00:39:39.44\00:39:41.58 conquered the Kingdom of Judah 00:39:41.61\00:39:43.04 and took many captives back to Babylon 00:39:43.08\00:39:45.08 and among the captives were Daniel 00:39:45.11\00:39:46.72 and his three friends. 00:39:46.75\00:39:48.45 Now this is interesting. 00:39:48.48\00:39:49.82 You could think about 00:39:49.85\00:39:51.19 what happened to your relatives up in the northern kingdom. 00:39:51.22\00:39:52.65 Is this gonna happen to us? 00:39:52.69\00:39:54.06 And they had only one hope 00:39:54.09\00:39:56.59 and that was that Jeremiah said in 70 years, 00:39:56.62\00:39:58.93 you're gonna come back. 00:39:58.96\00:40:01.50 You understand Bible prophecy? Yes. 00:40:01.53\00:40:03.43 This is pretty amazing stuff. Yes. 00:40:03.47\00:40:05.27 Now why did the Lord allow this to happen? 00:40:05.30\00:40:07.50 Kathy and I read the Bible 00:40:07.54\00:40:08.87 throughout loud together every year. 00:40:08.90\00:40:10.24 We've done that for probably 20 years. 00:40:10.27\00:40:12.47 And we remember reading in the Old Testament 00:40:12.51\00:40:14.41 where one time army came to beseech Israel 00:40:14.44\00:40:18.01 and there were more than a million men. 00:40:18.05\00:40:20.18 Most people would be afraid 00:40:20.22\00:40:21.55 because you're way outnumbered, 00:40:21.58\00:40:22.92 but were they able to conquer Israel? 00:40:22.95\00:40:25.72 No way. God thought for them. 00:40:25.75\00:40:27.46 This is interesting. 00:40:27.52\00:40:28.86 And when Sennacherib came and said to Hezekiah 00:40:28.89\00:40:31.36 and the people inside Jerusalem, 00:40:31.39\00:40:33.26 none of the other gods around you 00:40:33.29\00:40:34.60 have been able to protect their people. 00:40:34.63\00:40:36.06 How you think you're gonna do it? 00:40:36.10\00:40:37.43 Don't listen to Hezekiah. 00:40:37.50\00:40:38.83 At anyway, they prayed to the Lord 00:40:38.87\00:40:40.47 and God sent one angel 00:40:40.50\00:40:41.84 of the enemy soldiers 00:40:41.87\00:40:43.84 in one night. 00:40:43.87\00:40:45.67 So this is incredible when you think about it. 00:40:45.71\00:40:48.04 At anyway, 00:40:48.08\00:40:50.08 what I want to tell you is 00:40:50.11\00:40:51.45 they're on their way to Babylon, 00:40:51.48\00:40:52.81 but God gave two reasons 00:40:52.85\00:40:54.95 why they were taken to Babylon. 00:40:54.98\00:40:57.42 And I want you to see what they are. 00:40:57.45\00:40:58.95 It's really interesting. 00:40:58.99\00:41:00.39 One is, they were worshipping other gods like Dale 00:41:00.46\00:41:02.62 and Ashtoreth 00:41:02.66\00:41:04.03 and the other one is they were failing to honor the Sabbath 00:41:04.06\00:41:06.06 and to keep it holy. 00:41:06.09\00:41:07.40 So if you want that Biblical record for that, 00:41:07.50\00:41:10.03 it's Ezekiel 20:16. 00:41:10.07\00:41:12.90 God allowed them to be taken captive. 00:41:12.93\00:41:15.67 Could God have protected them? Yes. 00:41:15.70\00:41:17.81 Of course. But why did he allow it? 00:41:17.84\00:41:19.64 For two reasons, because this is Ezekiel 20:16, 00:41:19.67\00:41:22.88 because they despised my judgments, 00:41:22.91\00:41:25.15 did not walk in my statutes, but profaned my Sabbaths, 00:41:25.18\00:41:28.22 for their heart went after their idols. 00:41:28.25\00:41:30.45 So it's very significant 00:41:30.49\00:41:31.82 also to see that the early Christian era, 00:41:31.85\00:41:33.52 the same two points were involved 00:41:33.56\00:41:35.79 in the apostasy of the Christian Church. 00:41:35.82\00:41:38.16 In fact, just like the following way 00:41:38.19\00:41:39.69 from God's will happened after the death of Moses 00:41:39.73\00:41:41.63 and Joshua in the years 00:41:41.66\00:41:43.16 following the death of the Apostles, 00:41:43.20\00:41:44.77 the Bible writers, 00:41:44.80\00:41:46.13 Satan again brought into the church 00:41:46.17\00:41:48.40 a falling away from Bible truth, 00:41:48.44\00:41:50.27 just like he did in the Old Testament. 00:41:50.34\00:41:52.17 So interesting of the Book of Acts, 00:41:52.21\00:41:56.18 Paul records the warning 00:41:56.21\00:41:57.58 to the elders of the church of emphasis 00:41:57.61\00:41:59.35 and I'm just gonna tell you where this has found. 00:41:59.38\00:42:01.05 You can jot it down, look at it. 00:42:01.08\00:42:02.82 Acts 20:29-30, 00:42:02.85\00:42:06.39 "Know this after my departure 00:42:06.42\00:42:08.69 grievous wolves shall enter and among you, 00:42:08.72\00:42:10.93 not sparing the flock. 00:42:10.96\00:42:12.49 Also of your own selves men shall arise, 00:42:12.53\00:42:14.36 speaking perverse things, 00:42:14.36\00:42:15.70 to draw away disciples after them." 00:42:15.73\00:42:17.37 And this is interesting. 00:42:17.43\00:42:18.77 We must understand from Paul's warning 00:42:18.80\00:42:20.14 that we're not authorized 00:42:20.20\00:42:21.54 to receive a teaching of any person simply 00:42:21.57\00:42:23.47 because they lived immediately close to the apostles 00:42:23.51\00:42:26.51 because they have to agree with the Bible, 00:42:26.54\00:42:28.48 as you know. 00:42:28.51\00:42:29.91 So how are the true servants of God 00:42:29.94\00:42:32.95 to be distinguished? 00:42:32.98\00:42:34.32 They follow the Word of God alone 00:42:34.35\00:42:36.15 and not deviations of men. 00:42:36.18\00:42:37.72 This is important. 00:42:37.75\00:42:39.09 Paul who sent a warning to the Thessalonians 00:42:39.12\00:42:40.82 and 2 Thessalonians 2 and following, 00:42:40.86\00:42:43.32 where he says in verse 7, 00:42:43.39\00:42:45.16 "The mystery of iniquity death already work, 00:42:45.19\00:42:47.76 the wicked shall be revealed and so on." 00:42:47.83\00:42:49.76 This is amazing stuff. 00:42:49.80\00:42:51.40 And then he says to Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:2. 00:42:51.43\00:42:56.30 Kathy and I just two weeks ago were in Rome, 00:42:56.34\00:42:58.47 we saw the Mamertine Prison where Paul was kept 00:42:58.51\00:43:01.28 in solitary confinement till he was beheaded. 00:43:01.31\00:43:03.85 He wrote this from there. 00:43:03.88\00:43:06.41 Very interesting. 00:43:06.45\00:43:07.78 His last book 2 Timothy 4:2, to young Timothy. 00:43:07.82\00:43:11.65 "Preach the word, be instant in season, 00:43:11.69\00:43:13.39 out of season, reprove, 00:43:13.46\00:43:14.79 rebuke, exhort with all long suffering. 00:43:14.82\00:43:16.59 For the time will come, 00:43:16.62\00:43:18.33 will they will not endure sound doctrine, 00:43:18.36\00:43:20.10 but after their own lest I should keep themselves 00:43:20.13\00:43:22.36 teachers having itching ears. 00:43:22.40\00:43:24.67 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth 00:43:24.70\00:43:26.47 and should be turned to fables." 00:43:26.50\00:43:28.27 Well, it's really interesting. 00:43:28.30\00:43:29.64 I want to tell you something interesting. 00:43:29.67\00:43:31.27 The falsehood is not rendered and true, 00:43:31.31\00:43:33.48 simply because we introduced near the time of the Apostles. 00:43:33.54\00:43:36.58 Everything had its beginning 00:43:36.61\00:43:37.95 either it was right or wrong at the time. 00:43:37.98\00:43:39.85 Two of the most glaring errors 00:43:39.88\00:43:41.72 that came into the Christian Church 00:43:41.75\00:43:43.18 are the same two things 00:43:43.22\00:43:44.55 that involve the Ten Commandments earlier. 00:43:44.59\00:43:46.65 God's great moral law 00:43:46.72\00:43:48.39 and the changes came about with pagans. 00:43:48.42\00:43:50.59 The pagans worship the idols in their churches 00:43:50.63\00:43:53.19 simply drop the Second Commandment, 00:43:53.23\00:43:54.76 now the Decalogue and begin to worship idols. 00:43:54.83\00:43:57.23 Now this is interesting. 00:43:57.30\00:43:58.63 I mention to you if you look at the Fourth Commandment... 00:43:58.67\00:44:00.07 The Ten Commandments in Exodus 20:4, 5, 6 00:44:00.14\00:44:03.00 are just dropped out. 00:44:03.04\00:44:04.37 And then in order to keep a total of 10, 00:44:04.41\00:44:06.04 how do they do that? 00:44:06.07\00:44:07.74 Divide... 00:44:07.78\00:44:09.11 Divide the tenth one, the coveting one 00:44:09.14\00:44:10.48 and to make two covering Commandments, 00:44:10.55\00:44:11.88 so you still have 10, 00:44:11.91\00:44:13.25 but everything's got to move forward. 00:44:13.28\00:44:14.62 Now this is interesting. 00:44:14.65\00:44:16.38 And by the way, we were just on a great controversy tour 00:44:16.42\00:44:19.32 and I can just tell you we visited 00:44:19.35\00:44:21.09 probably two dozen Roman Catholic cathedrals. 00:44:21.12\00:44:23.46 Every one of them had images and idols in them. 00:44:23.53\00:44:26.83 Is this true? Yeah. 00:44:26.90\00:44:28.20 You've been there. You've seen. 00:44:28.23\00:44:29.56 When you go to the Protestant cathedrals, 00:44:29.60\00:44:30.93 you don't see images and idols. 00:44:30.97\00:44:32.63 It's very interesting. 00:44:32.67\00:44:34.14 Another interesting thing is that 00:44:34.20\00:44:35.54 the centerpiece for the catholic cathedrals 00:44:35.57\00:44:38.31 is the altar where the mass is produced. 00:44:38.34\00:44:40.98 And when you go into a Protestant Church, 00:44:41.01\00:44:44.05 the centerpiece is the pulpit 00:44:44.11\00:44:45.45 and the Bible is open before the pulpit. 00:44:45.48\00:44:47.62 This is amazing to me. 00:44:47.65\00:44:48.98 As a very visible, something you can see, 00:44:49.02\00:44:50.69 but the second... 00:44:50.75\00:44:52.09 And remember the... 00:44:52.12\00:44:53.92 In order to make a compromise with the pagans, 00:44:53.96\00:44:56.22 they let images into the church, 00:44:56.26\00:44:58.63 but the second error involve the Ten Commandments 00:44:58.66\00:45:00.76 was the change by the church of the Sabbath. 00:45:00.83\00:45:03.23 From the Sabbath to the first day of the week. 00:45:03.26\00:45:05.20 So the current commandment, number three, 00:45:05.23\00:45:07.27 simply states in theirs. 00:45:07.34\00:45:08.67 Remember, this to keep holy the Lord's Day. 00:45:08.70\00:45:10.71 There's no mention of the Lord being a greater heaven on earth 00:45:10.74\00:45:13.48 or out Sunday was ever made. 00:45:13.51\00:45:15.18 This is interesting, never made holy by God. 00:45:15.21\00:45:18.25 The pagans had a special holiday 00:45:18.28\00:45:20.12 which was called The Day of the Sun 00:45:20.15\00:45:22.65 and partly... 00:45:22.68\00:45:25.32 In my book, Sunday is coming. 00:45:25.35\00:45:26.69 I've a whole chapter on the change of the Sabbath 00:45:26.76\00:45:28.09 and we're not gonna taking out 00:45:28.12\00:45:29.46 and present, but I'll just tell you. 00:45:29.49\00:45:30.83 There's two things, two reasons 00:45:30.86\00:45:32.19 why Sunday came into the church. 00:45:32.23\00:45:33.70 The first one, here's that pagans at a holiday 00:45:33.73\00:45:35.73 called The Day of the Sun or Sunday 00:45:35.76\00:45:37.73 and partly as a compromise with Pagans 00:45:37.77\00:45:40.00 and also in an effort to distance themselves 00:45:40.04\00:45:42.20 from the Jews 00:45:42.24\00:45:43.57 who were despised by the Romans and they were Sabbath keepers, 00:45:43.61\00:45:46.84 they began to worship gradually began to worship on Sunday, 00:45:46.88\00:45:50.61 the first day of the week. 00:45:50.65\00:45:52.21 You guys understand what gradually means? 00:45:52.25\00:45:53.98 Yep. 00:45:54.02\00:45:55.42 We just recently saw some kids we hadn't seen in a long time. 00:45:55.45\00:45:57.69 The last time we saw there are little guys, 00:45:57.72\00:45:59.12 now they're tall as me. 00:45:59.15\00:46:00.99 So their parents would hardly even notice their growth 00:46:01.02\00:46:02.96 because they were with him this whole time, but to us, 00:46:02.99\00:46:04.76 it's a big difference. 00:46:04.79\00:46:06.13 You understand? 00:46:06.16\00:46:07.50 So that's what happened. 00:46:07.56\00:46:08.86 There's much historical evidence 00:46:08.90\00:46:10.27 for what I've presented here, 00:46:10.30\00:46:11.63 but the constraints of our time, 00:46:11.67\00:46:13.00 of course, one allow us to go... 00:46:13.03\00:46:14.37 Just this overview. 00:46:14.40\00:46:15.74 These two errors crept into the Christian Church, 00:46:15.77\00:46:17.94 the worship idol, to perforating of the Sabbath 00:46:17.97\00:46:20.11 are the exact two problems 00:46:20.18\00:46:21.51 that led to the Babylonian captivity of Judah 00:46:21.54\00:46:23.65 and this gives us a clear idea 00:46:23.68\00:46:25.11 of what God thinks about these two changes. 00:46:25.15\00:46:27.78 Those Christians who like me govern their lives 00:46:27.82\00:46:30.39 by the inspired Word of God, 00:46:30.42\00:46:31.92 do not recognize any point of scripture, 00:46:31.95\00:46:34.19 that's changed, omitted or modified by men. 00:46:34.26\00:46:37.96 Now I have a little statement from Great Congress 595 00:46:37.99\00:46:41.06 that I want to read because 00:46:41.10\00:46:42.43 I think it's important that we know it. 00:46:42.46\00:46:44.43 "But God will have a people on the earth 00:46:44.47\00:46:46.00 to maintain the Bible in the Bible only 00:46:46.03\00:46:48.14 as the standard of all doctrines 00:46:48.17\00:46:49.77 and the basis of all reforms. 00:46:49.80\00:46:51.14 The opinions of learned man, the deductions of science, 00:46:51.17\00:46:54.24 the creeds are decision to release 00:46:54.28\00:46:55.61 the ecclesiastical councils as numerous 00:46:55.64\00:46:58.41 or discordant as the church is what they represent. 00:46:58.45\00:47:01.28 The voice of the majority, 00:47:01.32\00:47:02.85 not one or all of these should be regarded as evidence 00:47:02.88\00:47:04.75 for or against any point of religious faith. 00:47:04.79\00:47:06.65 Before accepting any doctrine or precept, 00:47:06.69\00:47:08.62 we should demand a plane, thus saith the Lord. 00:47:08.66\00:47:11.89 Amen. So that's important to know. 00:47:11.93\00:47:14.00 And I mentioned this earlier, 00:47:14.03\00:47:15.36 but I'll go ahead and mention it again, 00:47:15.40\00:47:16.77 Revelation 22:18-19, 00:47:16.80\00:47:18.93 "Testify unto every man that heareth 00:47:18.97\00:47:20.44 the words of this prophecy of this book, 00:47:20.47\00:47:22.14 this revelation. 00:47:22.17\00:47:23.51 If anyone shall add to these things..." 00:47:23.54\00:47:25.21 That can be add Sunday 00:47:25.24\00:47:26.57 or Sunday is not supposed to be there. 00:47:26.61\00:47:28.84 "God shall add to him the plagues 00:47:28.88\00:47:30.25 that are written in this book." 00:47:30.28\00:47:31.61 By the way, tomorrow afternoon 00:47:31.65\00:47:32.98 I'm gonna talk you about the plagues 00:47:33.01\00:47:34.35 and it's very very interesting 00:47:34.38\00:47:35.72 that the plagues are poured out 00:47:35.75\00:47:37.09 on those who have the Mark of the Beast. 00:47:37.12\00:47:38.45 In the side of those who don't. 00:47:38.49\00:47:39.95 Very interesting. Okay. 00:47:39.99\00:47:42.56 "Then if any man takes away from the book prophecy 00:47:42.59\00:47:45.49 and God will take his part out of the book of life 00:47:45.53\00:47:49.26 and out of the holy city and so on. 00:47:49.30\00:47:51.93 So very interesting. 00:47:51.97\00:47:54.70 I'm gonna give you a little bit of a review here 00:47:54.74\00:47:58.77 to give you a little idea on what we're talking about. 00:47:58.81\00:48:01.38 From the time of the return of the Jews to Jerusalem, 00:48:01.41\00:48:03.38 from the Babylonian captivity... 00:48:03.41\00:48:04.75 Remember, they were gone 70 years. 00:48:04.78\00:48:06.61 Until the time that Jews has came some 500 years later, 00:48:06.65\00:48:09.38 they never again worshiped idols like, Baal. 00:48:09.42\00:48:13.72 They had learned their lesson. 00:48:13.79\00:48:15.29 Unfortunately, in order to rectify 00:48:15.32\00:48:16.79 the other problem with not keeping the Sabbath, 00:48:16.86\00:48:18.46 they overreacted and set up very stringent 00:48:18.49\00:48:20.93 and manmade laws to keep from breaking the Sabbath. 00:48:20.96\00:48:23.67 Then instead of resting on the Sabbath 00:48:23.70\00:48:25.30 as God intended this set of these legalistic rules 00:48:25.33\00:48:27.24 about how to keep the Sabbath holy? 00:48:27.27\00:48:28.87 How far you could walk? 00:48:28.90\00:48:30.24 You know, whether you could start a fire 00:48:30.31\00:48:31.64 and there are all these different things. 00:48:31.67\00:48:33.01 And then comes Jesus, he was a Sabbath-keeper, 00:48:33.04\00:48:35.11 but he said, 00:48:35.14\00:48:36.48 "Howbeit in vain do they worship me, 00:48:36.51\00:48:37.85 teaching for doctrines the commandments of men, 00:48:37.88\00:48:40.45 not in the Bible. 00:48:40.52\00:48:41.85 For laying aside the commandments of God, 00:48:41.88\00:48:43.22 you hold the tradition of men 00:48:43.25\00:48:44.59 as the washing of pots, the cups, 00:48:44.62\00:48:45.95 and many other things like that." 00:48:45.99\00:48:48.19 Now I'm gonna mention two other things 00:48:48.22\00:48:49.56 then I'll give you a couple of illustrations. 00:48:49.59\00:48:52.16 Revelation 14:6-12 and Revelation 18:1-3, 00:48:52.19\00:48:57.03 are God's last warning messages 00:48:57.07\00:48:59.23 to all of the inhabitants of the earth. 00:48:59.27\00:49:01.37 Not just for Seventh-day Adventist, 00:49:01.40\00:49:02.74 for every creature on earth. 00:49:02.77\00:49:04.14 Isn't that right? 00:49:04.17\00:49:05.51 Every language, tongue, people and so on. 00:49:05.54\00:49:06.88 So here's all this revelation begins. 00:49:06.91\00:49:08.74 Revelation 14:6-7, 00:49:08.78\00:49:11.25 then I saw another angel flying in mid to heaven, 00:49:11.28\00:49:14.28 having the everlasting gospel to preach to those 00:49:14.35\00:49:16.22 who dwell on the earth to every nation tribe, 00:49:16.25\00:49:18.55 tongue and people, 00:49:18.59\00:49:19.92 saying with a loud voice fear God and give glory to him 00:49:19.95\00:49:22.32 for the hour of his judgment is come 00:49:22.36\00:49:23.96 and worship him who made the heaven and the earth, 00:49:23.99\00:49:28.00 the sea and the springs of water." 00:49:28.03\00:49:29.83 So it harks back to creation again, 00:49:29.86\00:49:31.20 just like the Fourth Commandment does. 00:49:31.23\00:49:32.57 Very, very interesting. 00:49:32.60\00:49:35.97 I remember talking with people over the course of my life 00:49:36.00\00:49:39.11 and I've never had anybody tell me. 00:49:39.14\00:49:42.41 Well, now that I'm getting older 00:49:42.44\00:49:43.78 and one of those senior guys, 00:49:43.85\00:49:45.18 I wish I'd spent more time with the office. 00:49:45.21\00:49:48.15 Guess what they always say. 00:49:48.18\00:49:50.32 I wish I'd spent more time with my kids or my spouse. 00:49:50.39\00:49:52.49 Amen. 00:49:52.52\00:49:53.86 When you really think what's important. 00:49:53.89\00:49:55.22 Amen. 00:49:55.26\00:49:56.59 But thank God, he's made provision for a life 00:49:56.62\00:49:57.96 without regrets. 00:49:57.99\00:49:59.33 He has given us a full 24 hours each week of our lives 00:49:59.36\00:50:01.30 to lay aside our earthly cares, 00:50:01.33\00:50:03.00 concentrate on what really matters, 00:50:03.03\00:50:04.70 God and family and friends of those 00:50:04.73\00:50:06.30 who could use your encouragement. 00:50:06.33\00:50:07.70 And that day is the Sabbath. 00:50:07.74\00:50:09.77 The day of which he has Lord, 00:50:09.80\00:50:11.14 the Sabbath of the Lord thy God, 00:50:11.17\00:50:12.51 my holy day, the Sabbath. 00:50:12.54\00:50:14.48 Now it's interesting also 00:50:14.51\00:50:15.84 the Sabbath is an oasis in time. 00:50:15.88\00:50:18.55 I remember in Law School, 00:50:18.58\00:50:22.08 I study labor law, just one question, 00:50:22.12\00:50:24.95 but there are things what when you go to a job, 00:50:24.99\00:50:27.22 I'll just give you a little illustration, 00:50:27.26\00:50:28.86 just pretend like you're going to a job interview 00:50:28.89\00:50:31.29 and you've never worked out like that before. 00:50:31.33\00:50:33.86 So the HR person is interviewing you 00:50:33.90\00:50:35.63 and they say to you that, 00:50:35.66\00:50:37.57 "If you've got to work for us, you get paid vacations." 00:50:37.60\00:50:40.90 Really what's that like? 00:50:40.94\00:50:42.27 Well, that means like, 00:50:42.30\00:50:43.64 you could be at the beach, you know, 00:50:43.67\00:50:45.01 or you could be at the mountains, 00:50:45.04\00:50:46.37 you know, with your family on vacation or something 00:50:46.41\00:50:47.74 and we're gonna pay you just like you were at work." 00:50:47.78\00:50:50.58 That sounds good? Yeah. 00:50:50.61\00:50:51.95 You know, we call these fringe benefits. 00:50:51.98\00:50:53.35 It's not just good wage, just good working conditions, 00:50:53.38\00:50:54.95 but also fringe benefits. 00:50:54.98\00:50:56.82 And then there's another one called paid holidays. 00:50:56.85\00:50:58.72 There's four or five times maybe six times a year 00:50:58.75\00:51:00.66 when there's a holiday in the calendar, 00:51:00.69\00:51:02.36 you don't have to come into work that day, 00:51:02.39\00:51:03.73 we're gonna pay just like you were here. 00:51:03.76\00:51:05.09 Yep. 00:51:05.13\00:51:06.46 Then there's the sick days, whether you're sick or not, 00:51:06.49\00:51:08.33 you can accumulate six days and you can get time off, 00:51:08.36\00:51:10.77 you get paid. 00:51:10.83\00:51:12.17 By the way, we'll cover you with health insurance 00:51:12.20\00:51:13.54 for you and your family, 00:51:13.57\00:51:14.90 life insurance, profit sharing. 00:51:14.94\00:51:16.71 You'll be a rare person indeed 00:51:16.77\00:51:18.34 who would tell his employer the HR person, "No, thanks. 00:51:18.37\00:51:20.68 I don't need the benefits. 00:51:20.74\00:51:22.08 I'd like to opt out of the benefits package." 00:51:22.11\00:51:24.85 That's not gonna happen, is it? 00:51:24.88\00:51:26.82 But God has given us as his workers, his Sabbath, 00:51:26.88\00:51:28.98 sunset Friday to sunset Saturday, 00:51:29.02\00:51:30.65 a day of rest and reflection of worship and fellowship 00:51:30.69\00:51:33.62 and that's the great benefit plan. 00:51:33.66\00:51:35.29 The real interesting thing about it is, 00:51:35.32\00:51:36.69 God has given us real tangible benefits 00:51:36.73\00:51:39.43 for keeping the Sabbath. 00:51:39.46\00:51:40.80 I know that I have been greatly blessed 00:51:40.86\00:51:42.26 by keeping the Sabbath, our family has. 00:51:42.30\00:51:44.57 Well, Jesus said, "The Sabbath was made for man." 00:51:44.60\00:51:47.17 He was telling us all that 00:51:47.20\00:51:48.54 the Sabbath was made to help us and be a blessing to us 00:51:48.57\00:51:51.21 and the Sabbath is a benefit program to everyone. 00:51:51.24\00:51:54.14 And I hope that we will all opt in. 00:51:54.21\00:51:56.44 He set an example. 00:51:56.48\00:51:57.98 And this is important. Do we understand that? 00:51:58.01\00:52:00.52 Every week to avoid, I like this part especially. 00:52:00.55\00:52:04.75 In addition to having to avoid work 00:52:04.79\00:52:06.62 and get out of household chores 00:52:06.65\00:52:08.26 and not worrying about to-do lists 00:52:08.29\00:52:10.76 and tell your spouse it's Sabbath. 00:52:10.83\00:52:15.23 Of all this without any guilt, 00:52:15.26\00:52:17.57 picture a day that you can spend 00:52:17.60\00:52:18.93 with family and friends, a day in nature, 00:52:18.97\00:52:20.90 a day with doing something with God's family as well, 00:52:20.94\00:52:23.97 something nice for someone else. 00:52:24.01\00:52:25.34 It's not a dream, it's a reality, 00:52:25.37\00:52:27.64 it's all because God designed the Sabbath as his day, 00:52:27.68\00:52:30.35 made it for us. 00:52:30.41\00:52:33.78 God gave us the Sabbath, a way to push the reset button. 00:52:33.82\00:52:37.45 If you like me, 00:52:37.49\00:52:38.82 you really like to get distracted sometimes 00:52:38.85\00:52:40.76 or you do get distracted from the things 00:52:40.82\00:52:42.96 and people that really matter the most to you. 00:52:42.99\00:52:45.49 So we can stop chasing our material goals 00:52:45.53\00:52:47.76 in our usual work for one day every week 00:52:47.83\00:52:49.90 and effectively say, "God, you're in control." 00:52:49.93\00:52:52.53 I'm honoring you, 00:52:52.57\00:52:53.90 I'm focusing on you on your day, 00:52:53.97\00:52:55.30 even though I'm only working six days, 00:52:55.34\00:52:56.84 I trust for you to provide for me all seven. 00:52:56.87\00:52:59.44 It doesn't matter how much money 00:52:59.47\00:53:00.88 I could be making. 00:53:00.91\00:53:02.28 Now this is interesting. 00:53:02.31\00:53:03.65 I told you I just saw the Mamertine Prison in Rome. 00:53:03.68\00:53:06.11 Paul died there alone. 00:53:06.15\00:53:10.02 Did you hear that what I just said? 00:53:10.09\00:53:11.42 Yes. Alone. 00:53:11.45\00:53:13.12 And he wrote back, and says, Demas 00:53:13.15\00:53:14.76 who had been sent to be with him 00:53:14.79\00:53:16.12 has forsaken me having love in this present world, 00:53:16.16\00:53:18.73 isn't that incredible? 00:53:18.76\00:53:20.10 Demas was thinking, "You know, I'm sitting around, 00:53:20.13\00:53:21.53 watching this all old guy, he's gonna head chopped off 00:53:21.56\00:53:23.33 and I could be out making a little money." 00:53:23.37\00:53:25.27 Demas has forsaken me 00:53:25.30\00:53:26.63 having loving this present world. 00:53:26.70\00:53:28.04 Well, that's just very interesting. 00:53:28.07\00:53:29.40 So I'll would just tell you. 00:53:29.44\00:53:30.77 The Sabbath is the day 00:53:30.81\00:53:32.14 when we opt into God's time. 00:53:32.17\00:53:33.64 We want to enjoy his rest, 00:53:33.68\00:53:35.24 reset our thinking and reset our body, 00:53:35.28\00:53:37.31 and worship and honor God. 00:53:37.35\00:53:39.88 Now I want to make a little conclusion 00:53:39.91\00:53:41.62 and I think it's important 00:53:41.65\00:53:42.98 that we think of these things together. 00:53:43.02\00:53:44.59 We have looked at several tax, many tax that predicted 00:53:44.62\00:53:47.22 a great apostasy would grow in the Christian Church. 00:53:47.26\00:53:49.69 Even starting the apostasy at the time of the Apostles 00:53:49.72\00:53:52.53 that had already begun. 00:53:52.56\00:53:54.40 It is true that 00:53:54.46\00:53:56.06 sincere Christians have believed 00:53:56.10\00:53:57.60 that the Lord's Day was Sunday for over a thousand years. 00:53:57.63\00:54:02.64 But as we have seen, 00:54:02.67\00:54:04.01 this is not taught in the Bible. 00:54:04.04\00:54:06.04 Is the Bible our guide? Yes. 00:54:06.07\00:54:07.78 You understand. 00:54:07.81\00:54:09.14 So the passage of time, no matter, 00:54:09.18\00:54:10.55 how long does not change error into truth. 00:54:10.58\00:54:13.65 So I would suggest if you've not already done, 00:54:13.72\00:54:15.32 so I appeal to you to lay aside the traditions of men 00:54:15.35\00:54:18.15 except the teachings of Jesus 00:54:18.19\00:54:19.95 as taught by the Holy Scriptures. 00:54:19.99\00:54:22.06 Make the Word of God your guide 00:54:22.09\00:54:23.76 and the only rule of faith and practice 00:54:23.83\00:54:25.66 and there's really no reason for us to read the Bible 00:54:25.69\00:54:27.50 if we're not gonna follow its teachings. 00:54:27.60\00:54:28.90 Amen. Isn't that true? 00:54:28.93\00:54:30.27 Yes. 00:54:30.33\00:54:31.67 Kathy and I give quite a bit of Bible studies 00:54:31.70\00:54:33.03 and we've got to tell people, we go through, 00:54:33.07\00:54:34.40 we got to check them out, 00:54:34.44\00:54:35.77 once you've understood this, do you understand it clearly, 00:54:35.80\00:54:37.14 do you plan to practice it. 00:54:37.17\00:54:38.51 If not, we might just stop the Bible studies, right? 00:54:38.54\00:54:41.14 This is important. 00:54:41.18\00:54:42.68 So the decision to follow Christ 00:54:42.71\00:54:44.21 and his teachings will give you 00:54:44.25\00:54:45.61 a greater desire to grow spiritually, 00:54:45.65\00:54:47.68 bring peace to your heart and so on. 00:54:47.72\00:54:50.15 There's a lot we can talk about in this, 00:54:50.19\00:54:51.69 but I will just tell you that God is great 00:54:51.72\00:54:54.39 and I would just give you another little indication. 00:54:54.42\00:54:58.13 That from sundown, Friday to sundown, Saturday 00:54:58.16\00:55:00.73 is the Biblical Sabbath. 00:55:00.76\00:55:02.06 During that time period, God's faith 00:55:02.10\00:55:03.47 people come together to worship him 00:55:03.50\00:55:05.03 collectively as his people. 00:55:05.07\00:55:06.87 And I know for sure 00:55:06.94\00:55:08.27 and the reason this is in this program here 00:55:08.30\00:55:09.64 is there's people watching today 00:55:09.67\00:55:11.04 that have tuned in to find out the answer to this question. 00:55:11.07\00:55:13.81 Amen. 00:55:13.88\00:55:15.21 We have people coming into our church 00:55:15.24\00:55:16.58 almost on a regular basis, 00:55:16.61\00:55:17.95 we just have a little small church plan 00:55:17.98\00:55:19.31 and people are coming in and saying, 00:55:19.35\00:55:20.68 I've been reading in my Bible, I've been watching 3ABN, 00:55:20.72\00:55:22.78 I've been watching Hope channel or something. 00:55:22.82\00:55:24.79 And I've become convicted of the Sabbath. 00:55:24.82\00:55:26.29 Could I worship with you? 00:55:26.32\00:55:28.02 Could you worship? Yes, of course. 00:55:28.06\00:55:30.46 The bottom line is 00:55:30.53\00:55:31.86 there's convicting power of the Holy Spirit 00:55:31.89\00:55:33.23 in God's word 00:55:33.26\00:55:34.56 and we want to have that word in our lives 00:55:34.60\00:55:35.93 and in our hearts. 00:55:35.96\00:55:37.30 The Sabbath is not a burden, it's a blessing, 00:55:37.33\00:55:39.60 God made it for us. 00:55:39.63\00:55:41.50 So we're looking forward to Sabbath. 00:55:41.54\00:55:43.00 Tomorrow would be a great day 00:55:43.04\00:55:44.37 for all of us to fellowship together, 00:55:44.41\00:55:45.74 but it's not a burden, it's a blessing. 00:55:45.77\00:55:47.71 And let's help our children and our other family members 00:55:47.74\00:55:50.11 to understand that as well. 00:55:50.15\00:55:52.11 "So thus saith the Lord, God, 00:55:52.15\00:55:54.28 'Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, 00:55:54.32\00:55:56.75 neither let the mighty man glory in his might, 00:55:56.79\00:55:58.65 but let the rich man, 00:55:58.69\00:56:00.09 nor let the rich man glory in his riches, 00:56:00.12\00:56:01.46 but let him glory who glory in this 00:56:01.49\00:56:03.36 that he understands and knows me 00:56:03.39\00:56:04.79 that I am the Lord who exercising, 00:56:04.83\00:56:06.19 loving kindness, judgment and righteousness in the earth. 00:56:06.23\00:56:09.43 For those things, in these things I delight," 00:56:09.46\00:56:11.43 says the Lord, this is Jeremiah 9:23-24. 00:56:11.47\00:56:15.84 So I want to make a short appeal 00:56:15.87\00:56:17.24 to those who are watching. 00:56:17.31\00:56:18.64 My presumption is that 00:56:18.67\00:56:20.01 many of you here in the audience 00:56:20.04\00:56:21.38 have already made that commitment, 00:56:21.41\00:56:22.74 but if God's Holy Spirit is working on your heart 00:56:22.78\00:56:24.98 to understand and clearly see that 00:56:25.01\00:56:26.55 the Seventh-day Sabbath 00:56:26.58\00:56:27.92 is the day of the Lord, the Lord's Day, 00:56:27.95\00:56:29.75 then why not honor it 00:56:29.78\00:56:31.49 and begin to change your life in a way 00:56:31.52\00:56:33.05 that can honor God. 00:56:33.09\00:56:34.62 I encourage you to do that because God is great, 00:56:34.66\00:56:36.93 God is good and he created it, he made the Sabbath for us 00:56:36.96\00:56:39.66 and he made us in the beginning as well. 00:56:39.69\00:56:41.76 So we thank God for the wisdom of his word 00:56:41.80\00:56:43.93 and we thank you each one of you 00:56:43.97\00:56:45.60 for your kind attention and we want to pray 00:56:45.63\00:56:47.97 and ask God to bless the reading of his word 00:56:48.00\00:56:50.87 that we've had today. 00:56:50.91\00:56:52.47 Our Heavenly Father, I want to thank you 00:56:52.51\00:56:53.98 for the privilege we've had in worshipping you today. 00:56:54.04\00:56:56.61 We thank you for your word is the guide to us. 00:56:56.64\00:56:59.05 We thank you that there's really no question about 00:56:59.08\00:57:01.15 what day the Lord's day is 00:57:01.18\00:57:02.52 because we know it's not Sunday, 00:57:02.55\00:57:04.22 we know it is the Sabbath, 00:57:04.25\00:57:05.82 so we pray that you will guide those 00:57:05.85\00:57:07.22 who have been watching and viewing, 00:57:07.29\00:57:08.72 have them to come to a conclusion 00:57:08.76\00:57:10.09 as we have that this is your day. 00:57:10.16\00:57:12.53 That your word is true 00:57:12.56\00:57:13.93 and you're the true guide for us. 00:57:13.96\00:57:15.60 We don't want to be among those 00:57:15.63\00:57:16.97 who take away or add to the commandments, 00:57:17.00\00:57:19.03 we pray that you will guide each of us in our lives, 00:57:19.07\00:57:20.84 help us to be faithful to you 00:57:20.87\00:57:22.27 and to be ready when you come again. 00:57:22.30\00:57:24.01 In Jesus' name, amen. 00:57:24.04\00:57:25.91 Amen. 00:57:25.94\00:57:27.38
