a couple talk so well

lovingly and so glowingly

about their pastor.
I did not know the man.

I heard the name John Bradshaw,
and of course as a pastor

you are pleased when
your ministry is a blessing

they were so "over the top"

in their praise, and so loving
and so long in their praise

commercials for cigarettes.

commercials for anything that

would hurt the body.
And so immediately Yvonne -

took a financial hit

A fellow I find
extraordinarily inspirational -

great Canadians of all time

fellow named Terry Fox.

He was born in Winnipeg

and raised east of
Vancouver, British Columbia,

in a place
called Port Coquitlam.

As a kid he was
active. He played soccer;

he played
basketball; he played baseball;

he played rugby.

And then it's
interesting how this happened.

He was involved...
If I remember correctly,

he was involved in a
kind of auto accident where he

hurt his leg.

And that pain just
didn't seem to want to go away.

And so he went to the
doctor and had his leg examined

and it was discovered that at
the age of 19 he had something

called osteosarcoma.

Cancer.

Nineteen and active. I told you
all of the things that he did.

And of course, more besides.

The kid was full of life.

Cancer. It cost him his
right leg... it was removed.

walking on an artificial leg.

one thing. As a matter of fact,

This brother was going
to run 8,000 kilometers.

and the other he would take

water into the Pacific Ocean.

thing he was going to do.

And so he began to

many people knew who he was
