Thousands of songs have been written 00:00:01.36\00:00:02.70 about the most important story in the history of mankind. 00:00:02.73\00:00:04.87 The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross 00:00:05.47\00:00:08.50 has inspired millions to give Him their hearts. 00:00:08.70\00:00:11.97 Now we invite you to join us as we lift up Jesus Christ 00:00:12.17\00:00:16.18 on this special 3ABN presentation: 00:00:16.38\00:00:19.38 with 00:00:21.88\00:00:23.65 And now: Calvary: Love Found A Way. 00:00:51.45\00:00:54.78 Amen! Praise the Lord! 00:03:17.29\00:03:19.09 Beautiful! Thank you so much. 00:03:19.29\00:03:21.63 Beautiful! I'm going to ask Lanny Wolfe to come up. 00:03:22.03\00:03:25.17 Come up here just a second a little farther. 00:03:25.57\00:03:27.24 Lanny, you wrote this song. It's a beautiful song! 00:03:27.44\00:03:30.21 And the folks out here... you get to see better than we do 00:03:30.61\00:03:33.84 some of the LED lights and some of the different 00:03:34.04\00:03:37.68 pictures they'll put up and video that go along 00:03:37.88\00:03:40.65 with some of these songs. And I want to thank our crew 00:03:40.85\00:03:43.05 for doing an incredible job on that. 00:03:43.25\00:03:45.29 But tell us a little bit just quickly about this song. 00:03:45.69\00:03:48.66 What inspired you to write it? 00:03:48.86\00:03:50.79 This is a lullaby Mary is singing to the Lamb. 00:03:51.29\00:03:54.66 In a stable she's holding the Lamb of God. 00:03:55.06\00:03:57.77 And so Mary is saying: "Rest, tiny hands; 00:03:57.97\00:04:00.87 rest tiny heart; rest tiny eyes. " 00:04:01.07\00:04:04.31 And so she goes through all these items 00:04:04.47\00:04:06.88 basically singing a lullaby to the precious Lamb of God. 00:04:07.08\00:04:10.25 It's that simple. All right. 00:04:10.45\00:04:11.95 Melody. 00:04:12.15\00:04:13.68 Beautiful! 00:10:05.23\00:10:06.90 I'm going to ask Lanny to walk back up again. 00:10:08.67\00:10:11.11 We're getting ready to do a song called It Was Love. 00:10:11.31\00:10:13.54 And you remember about a year and a half or so ago 00:10:13.84\00:10:16.41 that we did a project called Hallelujah! We're Home At Last! 00:10:16.61\00:10:19.78 And on that project Yvonne and I wrote a song 00:10:20.18\00:10:23.52 and I said: "All of these songs were on the second coming 00:10:23.92\00:10:27.36 but this is all on Calvary. " 00:10:27.56\00:10:30.23 So the second coming, we decided to look from 00:10:30.43\00:10:33.23 heaven's perspective what would be happening 00:10:33.43\00:10:36.36 instead of just as humans looking up 00:10:36.56\00:10:39.20 what happens in heaven. So when Jesus stands up 00:10:39.40\00:10:42.87 heaven is changed forevermore. 00:10:43.07\00:10:44.51 So in this project I said: "We've got a lot of songs 00:10:44.71\00:10:47.14 about the cross and Christ and Calvary, 00:10:47.34\00:10:49.71 but what about something from heaven's perspective? " 00:10:50.01\00:10:53.05 So I began to talk to Lanny and I said: "You know, I wonder: 00:10:53.25\00:10:57.12 did angels question God's master plan when man fell from grace? 00:10:57.32\00:11:01.46 Could redemption be bought or would the price be too great? " 00:11:01.76\00:11:04.99 Just kind of led him into it from there. 00:11:05.19\00:11:07.06 He took it - and your daughter, you might tell us about it - 00:11:07.46\00:11:10.97 and came up with a finished song. 00:11:11.17\00:11:13.17 So I really can't take much credit for this. 00:11:13.37\00:11:15.34 We give all credit to God but in the fleshly sense 00:11:15.54\00:11:18.47 I'm honest, Lanny, that you and your daughter wrote most of this 00:11:18.67\00:11:22.34 but thanks for letting me have a little part in it. 00:11:22.54\00:11:24.81 Beautiful song! Thank you, Danny. The important thing 00:11:25.01\00:11:28.15 in this song is that Danny planted the seed 00:11:28.35\00:11:31.99 because without the question "Did angels question? " 00:11:32.29\00:11:35.22 then the song... the tree doesn't grow. 00:11:35.42\00:11:37.79 So Danny gave us the seed, and then my daughter, 00:11:37.99\00:11:41.66 Lanna-Marie, who is just a wonderful song writer, 00:11:41.86\00:11:44.00 and I took the seed and watered the seed. 00:11:44.40\00:11:48.77 And basically from the first two or three lines 00:11:48.97\00:11:51.77 we finished the song. Basically, when this happens 00:11:51.97\00:11:54.51 the best way I co-write is: "Give me what you have 00:11:54.71\00:11:57.58 and leave me alone. " Get out of his way! 00:11:57.78\00:11:59.35 Get out of my way and let me finish the song. 00:12:00.35\00:12:02.38 And... we came back together on the song called It Was Love. 00:12:02.78\00:12:08.79 All right. Ladye Love, can you help me with this? 00:12:09.19\00:12:12.63 Amen! Praise the Lord! Thank you, Ladye. 00:17:24.94\00:17:28.84 The next song we're going to do is entitled, we entitled it 00:17:30.35\00:17:33.78 Gethsemane. 00:17:33.98\00:17:35.32 And were were rushing to get a lot of songs done 00:17:35.35\00:17:38.55 and try to write some new ones. 00:17:38.75\00:17:40.46 And the night before we went down to Nashville 00:17:40.66\00:17:43.02 to track the songs I was sitting with my guitar 00:17:43.22\00:17:46.49 and this little tune came to me. 00:17:46.70\00:17:49.00 And the words just seemed like they just literally flowed. 00:17:49.20\00:17:52.53 And it said: "He suffered Gethsemane 00:17:52.73\00:17:55.90 through blood, sweat, and tears. " 00:17:56.30\00:17:58.81 And I said: "Wow! That's strong! " 00:17:59.67\00:18:02.31 "Each drop of blood He shed bought me a million years. 00:18:02.51\00:18:05.38 God's crowning sacrifice... " 00:18:06.08\00:18:08.28 I said: "Man, this is not coming from me. " 00:18:08.48\00:18:11.79 Some of you are song writers. You ever write a song 00:18:11.99\00:18:13.79 or maybe write poems? I know you guys do. 00:18:13.99\00:18:16.22 Sometimes you know when you really work at it 00:18:16.42\00:18:18.53 then other times when it seems like God just throws it on you. 00:18:18.73\00:18:23.77 Says: "Here, take it... what are you going to do with it? " 00:18:23.97\00:18:26.03 Well, I'm very limited as a song writer and as a musician. 00:18:26.23\00:18:29.80 But I said: "Man, that song is so powerful! " 00:18:30.01\00:18:32.44 "The spotless Lamb of God who now is the great I AM. " 00:18:32.84\00:18:36.11 And I said: "That is a powerful chorus. " 00:18:36.31\00:18:38.78 Reggie called me... talking about, the next morning 00:18:38.98\00:18:41.08 and I sang it to him. I had my guitar, and he said: 00:18:41.28\00:18:43.85 "Danny, you've got to put that on the project. " 00:18:44.05\00:18:45.85 I said: "Reggie, I don't have a chorus. " 00:18:46.05\00:18:47.66 "I don't have... I just have the music to the chorus 00:18:47.86\00:18:50.36 and the words. I don't have any verses. " 00:18:50.56\00:18:51.89 "Think about it; pray about it. The Lord will give it to you. " 00:18:52.09\00:18:54.76 So I was talking to my brother Kenny. 00:18:55.16\00:18:57.83 I said: "The Lord gave me this. " He said: "Man, you've 00:18:58.03\00:19:01.70 got to do this! " Talking to Yvonne Lewis later. 00:19:01.90\00:19:04.77 Next morning we were going to Nashville 00:19:04.97\00:19:07.28 I talked to these people and they said: 00:19:07.48\00:19:09.01 "I can't get that song out of my mind. 00:19:09.21\00:19:10.75 You need to finish that song and do it on the project. " 00:19:10.95\00:19:13.25 So I went to the airport to pick up in Nashville Lanny Wolfe. 00:19:13.65\00:19:16.62 I said: "Lanny, the Lord gave me this little chorus... " 00:19:16.82\00:19:18.95 And that's how you do if you think somebody, without asking 00:19:19.15\00:19:22.56 them to co-write, a guy like him, you don't 00:19:22.76\00:19:24.69 just ask him to co-write so you try to be... 00:19:24.89\00:19:27.33 And he knew exactly what I was doing, but I said: 00:19:27.53\00:19:29.33 "Lanny, the Lord gave me this little chorus. " 00:19:29.53\00:19:32.47 And this is evening by this time. We'd done 00:19:32.67\00:19:34.30 one day of tracking. And the next morning we went to 00:19:34.50\00:19:37.84 breakfast. Lanny said: "Danny, I can't get that song 00:19:38.04\00:19:40.48 out of my mind. You want me to write the verses to it? " 00:19:40.68\00:19:43.38 I said: "Absolutely! " 00:19:43.58\00:19:44.98 So literally that evening he put together - penned - 00:19:45.38\00:19:48.72 some of the most beautiful words I've ever heard 00:19:48.92\00:19:51.55 to the song... the first verse, the last verse. 00:19:51.75\00:19:54.06 And we asked Reggie to sing it. 00:19:54.26\00:19:56.16 It's absolutely... I cry when I hear it. 00:19:56.36\00:19:58.63 I know it's not me, it's not Lanny. 00:19:58.83\00:20:00.73 This: we do give God the credit for this. 00:20:00.93\00:20:03.13 But Gethsemane... Reggie. 00:20:03.33\00:20:06.13 Thank you... thank you, Reggie. 00:26:04.56\00:26:07.30 Wow! Praise the Lord! 00:26:07.50\00:26:09.06 God is good, isn't He? Amen! 00:26:09.26\00:26:11.37 Did you see some of the pictures behind to give a little... 00:26:11.57\00:26:15.60 Jesus. We can't imagine. It says He sweat great drops of blood. 00:26:15.80\00:26:19.57 But each drop of blood bought us a million years 00:26:20.74\00:26:23.14 and more. This love... we'll never understand it. 00:26:23.35\00:26:26.98 About a year and a half or two years ago 00:26:27.65\00:26:29.48 I had written... We were getting ready to do another project 00:26:29.78\00:26:32.39 and I was down with Lari Goss, a great friend 00:26:32.59\00:26:34.69 and wonderful wonderful man. He's now resting in Jesus. 00:26:34.89\00:26:38.09 And I was at his place and I said: "There's a song that... " 00:26:38.29\00:26:42.10 We needed one more song. I said: "I just wrote a little, 00:26:42.30\00:26:44.33 a little song and it says, I entitled it Calvary Says 00:26:44.53\00:26:48.20 Love To Me. And I played it for him on the guitar. 00:26:48.40\00:26:51.07 He said: "Danny, we've got to do this on the project. " 00:26:51.27\00:26:53.48 So as we come to this project: songs on Calvary. 00:26:53.88\00:26:57.18 And that's what Calvary says to us. 00:26:57.58\00:26:59.68 Think about it. It says love. 00:27:00.08\00:27:01.95 You know, the cross of itself is nothing. 00:27:02.15\00:27:04.32 I can go out and make a cross. 00:27:04.52\00:27:06.02 We can do all kinds of things. 00:27:06.22\00:27:07.56 But Jesus shed blood on that cross 00:27:07.66\00:27:09.72 is what changed the whole world. 00:27:09.92\00:27:11.56 When we think about it, we think about the cross of Calvary. 00:27:12.43\00:27:15.46 We're going to have Ladye Love come and sing 00:27:15.86\00:27:17.73 Calvary Says Love To Me. 00:27:17.93\00:27:20.20 Thank you. Beautiful! 00:31:52.07\00:31:55.08 Absolutely. You know, what's amazing to me is 00:31:55.28\00:31:58.35 when God has... Everybody has different gifts. 00:31:58.55\00:32:02.02 And I was sitting there thinking about almost every note 00:32:02.32\00:32:05.15 that you heard of all those instruments was in her mind 00:32:05.35\00:32:08.66 and Lari's mind. And then you add people like Gordon 00:32:08.86\00:32:12.69 on there and Tim Parton, then get these singers on here 00:32:12.89\00:32:17.00 and I don't think that God's people have to take a back seat 00:32:17.20\00:32:20.30 to the world, do you? No! 00:32:20.50\00:32:21.84 And I'm so thankful that each and every one of these folk 00:32:21.90\00:32:24.74 have chosen to use their gifts and their talents 00:32:24.94\00:32:28.21 and abilities for God's work. 00:32:28.41\00:32:31.21 And tonight the question would be: what about you? 00:32:31.81\00:32:34.15 What about me? 00:32:34.45\00:32:35.78 As we're here singing, and I'm enjoying being able to sing 00:32:35.98\00:32:39.29 with such great singers and musicians, 00:32:39.49\00:32:41.06 but most importantly is what does Calvary mean to us? 00:32:41.26\00:32:44.46 What does Calvary say to us? 00:32:44.66\00:32:46.39 Does Calvary say love to us? 00:32:46.59\00:32:48.66 You see, without a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ 00:32:48.86\00:32:51.90 we're going nowhere. 00:32:52.10\00:32:53.44 Literally, there's no life, there's no hope 00:32:53.60\00:32:56.74 without the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ 00:32:56.94\00:32:59.97 on the cross of Calvary. I'm so thankful that 00:33:00.18\00:33:03.14 He's a God of mercy. 00:33:03.35\00:33:04.68 That He's a God of patience. 00:33:04.91\00:33:06.65 That He doesn't mind taking the clay and re-molding it 00:33:07.05\00:33:10.85 from time to time. 00:33:11.05\00:33:12.39 But He'll only do that if we come to Him and confess our sins 00:33:12.42\00:33:16.26 "Lord, I'm a sinner. " 00:33:16.46\00:33:18.56 He says if we do that He is faithful and just 00:33:18.96\00:33:21.60 to forgive us from our sins and cleanse us from some 00:33:22.00\00:33:24.37 of our unrighteousness. ALL! Oh, ya'll are still awake? 00:33:24.57\00:33:27.64 All right. All... all unrighteousness. 00:33:27.84\00:33:31.01 Isn't that amazing? 00:33:31.21\00:33:32.54 That we as frail human agents 00:33:32.57\00:33:34.74 that God would even not destroy all of us. 00:33:35.14\00:33:38.85 But He didn't. His love for us is beyond comprehension. 00:33:39.45\00:33:44.69 So... as great a writer as Lanny Wolfe is 00:33:44.89\00:33:47.09 when he gets to heaven he's going to have to sit in the back 00:33:47.29\00:33:49.82 corner and say: "I thought I was a pretty good song writer 00:33:50.03\00:33:52.43 but I didn't know half the story. I didn't know 00:33:52.63\00:33:55.90 a tenth of the story. " Because we won't know. 00:33:56.10\00:33:58.53 The Bible says: "Now we see through a glass darkly 00:33:58.73\00:34:01.07 but then face to face. " 00:34:01.47\00:34:04.67 Isn't that wonderful? 00:34:05.07\00:34:06.41 I praise God for His plan of salvation. 00:34:06.44\00:34:11.41 Amen! It's very simple. 00:34:11.61\00:34:13.48 Maybe the greatest song ever written 00:34:13.68\00:34:16.25 Jesus loves me, this I know 00:34:16.45\00:34:19.12 for the Bible tells me so. 00:34:19.32\00:34:21.56 Right? Little ones to Him belong, 00:34:21.96\00:34:23.73 they are weak but HE is strong. 00:34:23.93\00:34:26.59 Yes Jesus loves me; 00:34:26.80\00:34:28.66 yes Jesus loves me. Do you love Jesus tonight? 00:34:28.86\00:34:31.30 Amen! I don't care what your problem is 00:34:31.50\00:34:33.74 Jesus is coming back for a purified bride 00:34:33.94\00:34:36.54 and a purified church. 00:34:36.74\00:34:38.07 And as I travel around I see ya'll are just like me. 00:34:38.27\00:34:41.31 You've got a lot of problems in your life. 00:34:41.51\00:34:43.18 Right? And I don't think the reason Jesus is not here yet 00:34:43.58\00:34:47.12 is not because we're waiting on Him. 00:34:47.32\00:34:49.42 He's waiting on us. 00:34:49.62\00:34:50.95 He's waiting on His people to perfect His character 00:34:51.09\00:34:54.02 within our lives so that He can come back 00:34:54.22\00:34:56.46 for a purified bride... a purified church. 00:34:56.66\00:34:58.96 And when we get to that point He says: "I, if I be lifted up 00:34:59.16\00:35:02.63 from this earth will draw some folk to Me. " 00:35:02.83\00:35:05.27 All! You're still awake; all right! 00:35:05.47\00:35:07.77 "Draw all men unto Me. " 00:35:07.97\00:35:10.44 So I'm so thankful tonight to have this opportunity 00:35:10.64\00:35:14.21 to be here and minister music 00:35:14.61\00:35:18.11 that talks about Jesus. Right? The cross... 00:35:18.31\00:35:21.48 the sanctuary. To give the world a last-day message 00:35:21.68\00:35:25.69 because I believe we're living in the end times, don't you? 00:35:25.89\00:35:28.29 Amen! We have present truth to give to a lost and dying world. 00:35:28.49\00:35:32.03 If we don't do it, who will? 00:35:32.23\00:35:33.73 I don't want to stand before Jesus and Him say 00:35:34.13\00:35:37.33 "Why didn't you do? You had the truth, but you 00:35:37.53\00:35:39.43 didn't tell anybody. " I was over in London the other day 00:35:39.63\00:35:43.84 and somebody there said to me: "You know what? 00:35:44.04\00:35:46.37 This is not like anywhere else in the world. 00:35:46.78\00:35:48.71 London is impossible to reach people. 00:35:48.91\00:35:52.21 People don't want the truth; they're not willing to change. " 00:35:52.61\00:35:56.05 And I said: "Well then why didn't Jesus say in 00:35:56.25\00:35:58.29 Matthew 28:18-20 "Go ye into all the world except London? " 00:35:58.49\00:36:02.22 See? He didn't say that, did He? 00:36:02.62\00:36:05.03 He said: "Go ye into all the world. " 00:36:05.43\00:36:07.13 And I said: "I can tell you for a fact 00:36:07.33\00:36:09.36 that people in London are looking for truth 00:36:09.76\00:36:12.40 and they are looking for a change. " There are 30,000 00:36:12.60\00:36:16.57 preachers throughout the great city of London 00:36:16.97\00:36:19.77 but there are over 80,000 registered witches. 00:36:19.97\00:36:22.54 There is every kind of cult you can think of: the New Age. 00:36:23.48\00:36:26.68 There's all kinds of false religions who do not 00:36:26.88\00:36:30.42 give honor and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ and to God 00:36:30.62\00:36:33.82 and they're growing by the millions. 00:36:34.22\00:36:36.19 The reason I believe they're not accepting truth - 00:36:36.59\00:36:40.03 not only London... here: West Frankfort, Illinois, 00:36:40.23\00:36:42.63 whether you're from Alabama, Tennessee, Africa... 00:36:42.83\00:36:45.03 I don't care where you're from - 00:36:45.23\00:36:46.57 is because we have been ashamed of the gospel of Christ. 00:36:46.60\00:36:48.97 We should be so excited that everybody we see 00:36:49.27\00:36:52.87 we want to tell them about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 00:36:53.07\00:36:55.91 Am I right? Amen! I'm starting to get excited 00:36:56.11\00:36:59.28 so I'm not a preacher. Not a son of a preacher. 00:36:59.48\00:37:01.65 I'm going to back up, but we're going to sing a little bit 00:37:01.85\00:37:04.09 about heaven right now. 00:37:04.29\00:37:05.62 Heaven came down and what happened? 00:37:05.79\00:37:07.46 Glory filled our soul. All right. 00:37:07.66\00:37:09.29 Quartet? OK. All right. 00:37:09.49\00:37:12.96 I'll try. I don't have much voice left 00:37:13.16\00:37:15.03 but we'll do it. 00:37:15.23\00:37:16.97 Amen! Yeah! Amen! 00:40:38.33\00:40:40.67 Thank you. Thank you guys. Beautiful! 00:40:40.87\00:40:44.04 I want to say a word about Reggie Smith. 00:40:45.34\00:40:48.04 Reggie... I called Reggie to say: "Reggie, would you 00:40:48.24\00:40:51.11 produce this project? " If you don't know what 00:40:51.31\00:40:53.62 a producer does you can ask Ladye Love. 00:40:53.82\00:40:56.45 He spends... If you have a studio - a music studio 00:40:56.65\00:41:00.92 in your attic - they call it their attic - 00:41:01.12\00:41:03.36 a nice little upstairs. But if you have one, 00:41:03.56\00:41:06.06 you spend about several months in the studio 00:41:06.26\00:41:09.10 so she and Bret didn't get to see him very much 00:41:09.30\00:41:12.07 unless they went upstairs in the studio. 00:41:12.27\00:41:14.34 But Reggie literally pro- duced, put everything together. 00:41:14.54\00:41:17.27 Worked with Kris, Gordon... Larry... everybody together 00:41:17.47\00:41:22.61 and with the choir... putting all the choir. 00:41:22.81\00:41:24.75 Arranging. He literally arranged all the parts 00:41:24.95\00:41:27.42 that we're doing. So Reggie, thank you so much 00:41:27.62\00:41:30.82 for the literally hundreds of hours and months 00:41:31.02\00:41:33.42 that you have put into this project. 00:41:33.62\00:41:36.19 Our next song is Precious Blood. Lanny, 00:41:38.79\00:41:41.26 come and tell us about this. You wrote this song. 00:41:41.46\00:41:43.93 Paul talks about a thorn in his flesh. 00:41:45.13\00:41:48.34 Well for many years of my life a thorn in my flesh 00:41:48.74\00:41:51.07 was cellulitis. Some of you know what that is? 00:41:51.27\00:41:54.01 I don't know what it is; I just know I would get it. 00:41:54.41\00:41:56.81 And when I would get it, it would, my ankle would hurt 00:41:57.21\00:42:01.02 and it would get red, and I couldn't even walk to the car 00:42:01.22\00:42:03.99 to go to the hospital. And then I'd be in the hospital 00:42:04.19\00:42:06.39 for a week and pay $10,000 and come home... 00:42:06.59\00:42:09.32 and then work to pay off the hospital bill. 00:42:09.72\00:42:11.26 So that's what cellulitis was. 00:42:11.46\00:42:12.83 I was on a chorale tour. We were in Cincinnati, Ohio. 00:42:13.03\00:42:16.36 I would never know when this was going to happen. 00:42:16.56\00:42:18.17 It just happened. And so were were there 00:42:18.37\00:42:20.67 and it happened in the middle of a service. I had 50 young people 00:42:20.87\00:42:24.44 on a chorale tour, and I thought: "God, I don't know 00:42:24.64\00:42:27.28 if I can make it through this service. 00:42:27.48\00:42:28.81 Help me get through this service. " So at the end of the 00:42:28.84\00:42:30.95 service I turned the chorale... we had more tour dates... 00:42:31.15\00:42:33.35 so I turned it over to somebody to go on with the choir 00:42:33.55\00:42:37.09 to the next city. I said: "Take me to the emergency room " 00:42:37.29\00:42:39.79 and they did. And so they put me in a room and they started doing 00:42:39.99\00:42:45.69 all the stuff they do. And the first thing they do 00:42:45.89\00:42:48.20 is take your blood. Well, I've had my blood taken many 00:42:48.40\00:42:51.70 times. You have, too. But it was what I call 00:42:51.90\00:42:55.17 as a song writer "the moment of truth. " 00:42:55.37\00:42:57.74 It was THIS time, when they were taking my blood, 00:42:59.07\00:43:02.98 Bro. Murray... THIS TIME I got it. 00:43:03.38\00:43:08.15 Without blood, none of the rest of this works. 00:43:09.62\00:43:12.49 All right. It doesn't matter how beautiful your body is. 00:43:12.89\00:43:15.72 It doesn't matter how much money you've got. 00:43:16.12\00:43:18.16 If the blood is not there, nothing's there. 00:43:18.36\00:43:21.46 And so at that moment of truth 00:43:21.96\00:43:23.97 God impressed me that for hundreds of years 00:43:24.17\00:43:27.60 lambs were brought to offer for sacrifice for sins. 00:43:27.80\00:43:32.77 But Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God - Amen! - 00:43:33.17\00:43:36.44 All right - He went to the cross and He said - come on: 00:43:36.95\00:43:40.55 "I will go and I will shed once and for all. " 00:43:40.75\00:43:44.29 All right. "You don't need to bring any more lambs. 00:43:44.49\00:43:47.06 I am The Lamb... I am the Lamb of God. " That's right! 00:43:47.26\00:43:50.29 Once and for all He drank the bitter cup 00:43:50.53\00:43:53.56 and He took the stripes on His back for our healing. 00:43:53.76\00:43:57.97 And so Jesus Christ heals. He heals today! 00:43:58.70\00:44:02.50 You need to be healed? He took the stripes 00:44:02.90\00:44:05.87 on His back so we could be healed. 00:44:06.07\00:44:08.04 And so this song came in a hospital room 00:44:08.34\00:44:11.28 in Cincinnati, Ohio: Precious Blood. 00:44:11.48\00:44:13.98 Melody. 00:44:14.18\00:44:15.88 Amen! Amen! Praise the Lord! 00:48:30.21\00:48:34.11 Wow! I don't know about you all but I'm getting those great big 00:48:40.08\00:48:42.98 old chill bumps all over me. I'm going to call them 00:48:43.18\00:48:45.69 Holy Spirit bumps, all right? 'Cause it's sure not cold 00:48:45.89\00:48:49.02 in here. But I feel the anointing of the Holy Spirit. 00:48:49.22\00:48:52.29 Is anybody with me on this tonight? 00:48:52.49\00:48:54.63 Because we're singing about the only thing that really matters 00:48:55.03\00:48:58.50 in life, right? 'Cause life itself... the Life Giver. 00:48:58.70\00:49:02.60 We're bringing honor and glory and praise to Him tonight. 00:49:02.80\00:49:07.18 Reggie. We were at your house visiting... 00:49:07.81\00:49:10.38 Reggie went to the piano and said: "I think I've got a song. 00:49:10.58\00:49:15.18 that might work on the project. " 00:49:15.38\00:49:17.19 And it worked. A beautiful song. Tell us 00:49:18.65\00:49:20.72 about this song. Well, this is an old hymn 00:49:20.92\00:49:22.96 and... just a different arrangement. With 00:49:24.09\00:49:25.99 a different arrangement... a little twist to it. 00:49:26.19\00:49:27.86 At The Cross. You know that hymn, right? 00:49:28.06\00:49:30.60 And I didn't know if it would, you know, fit for the project. 00:49:31.00\00:49:33.80 You know you want to tie everything together nicely. 00:49:34.00\00:49:36.20 And I was a little scared to play it for Danny, honestly. 00:49:36.40\00:49:38.97 I was a little nervous but I said: "Well I was just working 00:49:39.47\00:49:41.44 on this little hymn. " And Yvonne was sitting there. 00:49:41.64\00:49:43.75 So I started playing along 00:49:44.15\00:49:46.25 and Yvonne said: "Um-hmm... yes. 00:49:46.45\00:49:48.85 Yes, yes, yes... it's in! " 00:49:49.05\00:49:53.19 So that made the cut. So it's a beautiful, beautiful... 00:49:54.59\00:49:57.56 old lyric but a good song. So... thank you. 00:49:57.76\00:50:00.20 All right. I'm going to ask Lanny Wolfe and Melody 00:54:32.40\00:54:35.04 to come up. I have to tell you a really short story. 00:54:35.44\00:54:39.84 I don't have much voice left 00:54:40.24\00:54:42.58 but I've got enough to tell THIS story. 00:54:42.78\00:54:44.18 I mean, we've gotta talk about something tonight, right? OK. 00:54:45.55\00:54:49.15 Another idea came to me. I'm going to let you do this. 00:54:49.55\00:54:52.12 No, no, no. Another idea came to me about a song 00:54:52.32\00:54:55.69 and I said... Started talking about it. I told Lanny, 00:54:56.09\00:54:59.69 I said: "I've got this, I think it's a great idea for a song! " 00:54:59.89\00:55:02.90 He said: "Danny, that's a baby that needs to be birthed... 00:55:03.40\00:55:06.33 needs to be born. " 00:55:06.74\00:55:08.07 Hung the worlds in space... I said: "Hung the worlds in 00:55:08.20\00:55:10.34 space was the One who hung on the cross in our place. " 00:55:10.54\00:55:13.21 Now... That hit me: that's powerful. I said: 00:55:13.41\00:55:15.74 "Now what if we could write, Joy, what if we could write 00:55:15.94\00:55:18.25 all the parallels like that? " 00:55:18.45\00:55:20.42 Something from heaven to earth. 00:55:20.82\00:55:22.52 Lanny said: "Oh... that's wonderful! " 00:55:22.72\00:55:24.42 So we told Melody about it. Melody came up with the first 00:55:24.82\00:55:27.66 line or two and then Lanny came up with some more. 00:55:27.86\00:55:31.66 Pretty soon I saw the three-way e- mails were going to two-way 00:55:31.86\00:55:36.06 e- mails... and my name was left out. 00:55:36.26\00:55:38.67 My name was left out. 00:55:40.80\00:55:42.37 And I said: "Now wait a minute! I thought I had the baby 00:55:42.57\00:55:45.11 that was supposed to be born. " 00:55:45.31\00:55:46.64 And so now all of a sudden things got very quiet. 00:55:46.88\00:55:50.58 You know what that's like? Like, I'd look at my e-mail: 00:55:50.98\00:55:53.58 "Now surely they'll... No... nothing here today. " 00:55:53.78\00:55:56.52 So anyway, but I'm really glad. 00:55:57.02\00:55:59.75 I'm really glad. I love teasing Melody about this. 00:55:59.95\00:56:02.22 Now you know Lanny's in charge. 00:56:02.42\00:56:04.23 So blame Lanny? Hear what he says... Now wait just a minute! 00:56:04.43\00:56:08.63 God woke me up in the middle of the night 00:56:08.83\00:56:10.73 with a chorus that was in an Easter musical... my first 00:56:11.13\00:56:15.64 Easter musical... called Love Found A Way. 00:56:15.84\00:56:18.31 And I thought it was a chorus because at the time it was. 00:56:18.51\00:56:21.74 It had 3 lines and then it repeated the third line. 00:56:22.14\00:56:25.65 It really wasn't a full- fledged "legit" chorus. 00:56:26.05\00:56:28.78 God woke me up in the middle of the night 00:56:29.18\00:56:31.22 and reminded me that it wasn't a real chorus... 00:56:31.42\00:56:34.06 to make it a chorus. So I called Danny and Melody 00:56:34.26\00:56:37.16 and I said: "I've got the glue for this song. " 00:56:37.56\00:56:41.96 And that was the moment when your line almost went dead. 00:56:42.36\00:56:45.40 When he said "Danny... you're out. " 00:56:45.60\00:56:47.47 But what I'm going to try to do is sing on it anyway. 00:56:49.50\00:56:52.11 Right? I was a part of it. But honestly, 00:56:52.31\00:56:54.88 it is such a beautiful song and Lanny said: 00:56:55.08\00:56:58.31 "It'll just be birthed at another time. " 00:56:58.51\00:57:00.18 The idea that I had. So I'm going to hold you to that, 00:57:00.38\00:57:02.75 OK? But thank you, Melody, for your support in this 00:57:02.95\00:57:06.09 and the words that you gave - thank you - and working together 00:57:06.29\00:57:08.26 with Lanny. Beautiful song, and we're actually entitling 00:57:08.46\00:57:11.66 this whole project Calvary: Love Found A Way. 00:57:11.86\00:57:15.60 Amen! 01:01:56.98\01:01:58.65 Love found a way. Aren't you glad? 01:02:03.92\01:02:05.32 Amen! I'm thankful. Without that there's nothing, folks. 01:02:05.35\01:02:08.79 Love found a way. Melody, Lanny, thank you so much. 01:02:08.82\01:02:12.76 We're going to have Reggie and Ladye come up. 01:02:12.79\01:02:14.90 Another beautiful song. This was written by? Dottie Rambo. 01:02:14.93\01:02:18.73 Dottie Rambo. The wonderful Dottie Rambo, yes. 01:02:18.80\01:02:20.70 Beautiful song. Ladye Love, you going to sing with him? 01:02:20.74\01:02:25.07 I Will Glory In The Cross is the name of this one. 01:02:25.27\01:02:27.58 And Danny you know, when we... to do the arrangement and 01:02:27.61\01:02:30.45 we all got together in Kris's room and we started 01:02:30.48\01:02:33.62 trying to figure out how... It was fun. Oh, you kidding me? 01:02:33.65\01:02:36.89 She's magnificent, she's amazing. 01:02:36.92\01:02:38.39 And when you called me, Danny, to produce this thing 01:02:38.42\01:02:40.96 you didn't tell... I told everybody no twice. 01:02:41.02\01:02:43.16 I told you no twice. You did! Because our dear friend 01:02:43.19\01:02:46.90 and the most wonderful producer that we ever knew 01:02:46.93\01:02:49.90 was Lari Goss. He produced our last Hallelujah! 01:02:49.93\01:02:52.90 And so there was just no way - 01:02:52.93\01:02:55.47 me - I could follow up anything like that. 01:02:55.50\01:02:58.11 Are you kidding me? Really? Lari Goss? 01:02:58.14\01:03:00.71 But you know what? I said: "If we can build a great team - 01:03:00.74\01:03:04.55 a great team - then we can get through this. " Absolutely! 01:03:04.58\01:03:06.18 Of course we started with the magnificent orchestrator 01:03:06.38\01:03:09.58 over there, and then Larry obviously was there too 01:03:09.78\01:03:12.65 helping write some, and then great musicians and everything. 01:03:12.85\01:03:15.69 And you know, we got to thinking about this song. 01:03:16.09\01:03:17.53 We said: "How do we treat this because it's been recorded 01:03:17.73\01:03:19.49 many many times? " Larnelle Harris did a wonderful 01:03:19.69\01:03:21.56 arrangement of this song... an incredible arrangement. 01:03:21.76\01:03:23.53 And we started thinking: "How would... " I started thinking: 01:03:24.70\01:03:27.14 "How would maybe Miss Dottie have written this song? " 01:03:27.44\01:03:30.71 And she... I think she's from Kentucky originally. 01:03:31.31\01:03:33.94 Is that right? Kentucky. So she was a country girl 01:03:34.14\01:03:36.95 I think, and she played a guitar... 01:03:37.15\01:03:39.45 just kind of simple chords guitar. 01:03:39.65\01:03:41.42 And I don't think she would have played all these fancy 01:03:41.62\01:03:43.69 chords all over the world, you know. 01:03:43.89\01:03:45.62 She'd have played just straight... straight ahead. 01:03:45.82\01:03:47.99 And so we kind of put a Celtic - OK - feeling to it. 01:03:48.19\01:03:51.06 Celtic-Kentucky feeling to it. OK. 01:03:51.26\01:03:53.19 So that's what we came to. Yeah, that's right. 01:03:53.63\01:03:57.27 Beautiful! I will glory in the cross. 01:08:46.39\01:08:49.69 I also want to thank E.T. Everett sitting down front 01:08:50.09\01:08:52.63 right here. Amen! Amen! Some of the folks, you might not 01:08:52.83\01:08:55.16 be able see her on camera too much but what an incredible job! 01:08:55.36\01:08:59.03 She's our sound center manager. Incredible musician. 01:08:59.23\01:09:02.20 Literally arranger, singer; and she's worked countless hours. 01:09:03.71\01:09:07.68 Bobby Bradley... chief engineer, sound engineer. 01:09:07.88\01:09:11.31 Incredible. He is always behind the scenes. 01:09:11.51\01:09:13.75 And our whole 3ABN crew here for what they're doing... 01:09:14.15\01:09:16.95 it's so neat. In fact, I can say after thirty-one years 01:09:17.15\01:09:20.26 it's fun working together. Isn't it, ET? 01:09:20.46\01:09:23.46 It's still fun after all these years when you literally 01:09:23.66\01:09:26.59 know that you're doing some- thing for the Lord Jesus Christ 01:09:27.00\01:09:30.30 and you're able to do it with folk who have the same likes... 01:09:30.50\01:09:33.34 the same desires and same mission and motives 01:09:33.54\01:09:38.04 that you do, and that's to ful- fill the great Gospel Commission 01:09:38.24\01:09:41.74 "Go ye into all the world. " 01:09:42.14\01:09:43.61 Tell the people about the Lord Jesus Christ 01:09:43.81\01:09:46.08 and Him crucified... giving present truth 01:09:46.28\01:09:49.12 to a lost and dying world. 01:09:49.32\01:09:50.65 Now we're going to do a medley. 01:09:51.05\01:09:52.55 I think Reggie's going to go down now and direct, right? 01:09:52.75\01:09:55.12 Help direct. So we're going to do... 01:09:55.32\01:09:57.23 Thank you, E.T. You've been doing a great job... 01:09:57.63\01:09:59.26 for all that you do. Now we're going to do a hymn medley. 01:09:59.46\01:10:02.13 When you know it, some of the songs you hear it, 01:10:02.33\01:10:04.27 give us a little bit. C.A. is going to come out 01:10:04.53\01:10:06.74 and John and then maybe on some of the choruses 01:10:06.94\01:10:08.87 you join with us. 01:10:09.07\01:10:10.84 You know what? You all sound really good out there. 01:16:01.59\01:16:04.06 Thank you for singing. It's really nice 01:16:05.09\01:16:07.16 when we sing to hear you all singing back on songs 01:16:07.36\01:16:10.13 that you know. The next song is a song that 01:16:10.33\01:16:13.20 Reggie and Ladye and maybe Marty... I'm not sure 01:16:13.40\01:16:17.01 who all wrote on this song. But come up and 01:16:17.21\01:16:20.04 tell us about it and sing it for us. 01:16:20.24\01:16:22.54 It's entitled I'll Never Know. 01:16:22.94\01:16:24.81 Danny, I think we're just going to sing it and let it 01:16:28.42\01:16:30.45 speak for itself. All right. 01:16:30.65\01:16:32.52 But Marty did a great job, right? But Marty, honestly 01:16:33.36\01:16:35.96 wrote some music, and I had a kind of a hook in my mind. 01:16:36.16\01:16:40.30 You know the hook? You've got to come up with the hook, right, 01:16:40.50\01:16:42.36 for the song? Had written the music and I just 01:16:42.56\01:16:45.00 was not pleased at all with what was going on with the lyric. 01:16:45.20\01:16:48.34 I was just not pleased with it. As a matter of fact, 01:16:48.64\01:16:50.11 the only reason it got brought back was because Danny 01:16:50.51\01:16:53.04 brought it back because I had already thrown it on the cutting 01:16:53.24\01:16:54.91 floor. It wasn't going to make the cut. 01:16:55.11\01:16:56.48 But anyway... And then Marty is amazing 01:16:56.88\01:16:58.85 and so he wrote a great lyric to it. So... here we are. 01:16:59.05\01:17:03.69 Amen! Thank you! Beautiful! Beautiful! 01:20:29.22\01:20:32.56 Our last song on this project... we saved it 01:20:35.83\01:20:40.04 last for a reason. 01:20:40.44\01:20:42.87 It's probably one of the most worshipful songs. 01:20:43.27\01:20:46.14 When you listen to it you can't hardly help 01:20:46.34\01:20:49.08 but get in the spirit of worship of our Creator God. 01:20:49.28\01:20:52.31 Lanny wrote it, and I can actually say this without 01:20:52.51\01:20:55.48 trying to be too funny... but he co-wrote it with Beethoven, 01:20:55.68\01:20:58.25 wasn't it? In other words he borrowed - we'll use the word 01:20:58.45\01:21:02.89 borrowed - some of Beethoven's music 01:21:03.09\01:21:05.73 and added his own Lanny Wolfe. 01:21:06.13\01:21:08.53 But what an incredible song! And we were able to get 01:21:08.73\01:21:11.83 the Aeolians from Oakwood University 01:21:12.03\01:21:14.27 so you'll hear them singing with the choir here. 01:21:14.47\01:21:17.17 Absolutely incredible young people. 01:21:17.37\01:21:19.81 Love Jesus... talent that's off the charts. 01:21:20.01\01:21:22.81 And we're so thankful for them 01:21:23.21\01:21:25.01 and their leadership in being able to come to the studio 01:21:25.21\01:21:28.48 and help Yvonne Lewis. Yvonne's going to be singing 01:21:28.68\01:21:31.25 the lead part. Absolutely beautiful song! Thank you, Lanny 01:21:31.45\01:21:34.49 for this song, and Praise His Holy Name. 01:21:34.69\01:21:38.26
