00:10 I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
00:13 Whom shall I send,
00:14 and who will go for us?
00:17 Then I said, Here am I,
00:19 send me!
00:34 Three Angels Broadcasting Network
00:36 and the South England Conference
00:38 present London 2016.
00:46 Pastor John Lomacang has been speaking here each night.
00:52 I don't know if any of you have attended
00:56 each night's meetings
00:57 but can I just see show off hands
01:00 of those of you who appreciated the messages
01:03 that have been coming through God's man servant,
01:05 just raise your hands to God be the glory.
01:08 Pastor John Lomacang,
01:10 just to say a few more things about him,
01:16 currently serves as the Thompsonville
01:19 Adventist Church pastor,
01:21 which is located at
01:22 the Three Angels Broadcasting Network Centre in Illinois.
01:27 He's in his 30th year of pastoral ministry.
01:31 So he obviously started young.
01:35 Thirty three years to his wife Angela.
01:38 Angela, good to have you with us again.
01:43 Recently he has been appointed
01:46 Director of World Evangelism for 3ABN
01:51 and we're honored that
01:53 this is his first assignment
01:55 under that directorship, here in London.
02:00 Pastor John Lomacang has been a professional Christian singer
02:04 for more than 30 years,
02:06 and many of you would have known him
02:09 for his singing before his preaching.
02:13 But he sang with the Heritage Singers for many years.
02:16 He has sung for many of the ministries included,
02:20 including, It Is Written,
02:23 Amazing Facts and the Voice of Prophecy.
02:27 Pastor Lomacang's life story is an interesting one
02:31 and I'm sure we will hear more about that
02:34 in the second week of our meetings,
02:37 but he is featured in a Pacific Press book entitled,
02:41 Abandoned but not Alone.
02:45 Are we glad to know that we serve a Savior
02:48 who never abandons us?
02:50 Who always draws near to us
02:52 and seeks and designs to save us.
02:56 And so this morning we,
02:58 we thank God for Pastor Lomacang
02:59 for his ministry here in Croydon Church
03:02 and for his wife as well together as a team.
03:05 And we pray that God will truly inspire him
03:08 as he speaks to us on the topic,
03:11 God's perfect law.
03:20 Good morning church.
03:21 Good morning.
03:23 Happy Sabbath, everyone.
03:24 Happy Sabbath.
03:25 So glad to see that you're here this morning.
03:28 It's good to be a part of a...
03:32 A place where ministry is going forward
03:34 where God is being praised,
03:36 and this morning we desire nothing more than
03:38 to give God the glory that He alone is due.
03:42 This morning I want to take and use the time
03:44 that I have as efficiently as I can
03:47 so bow your heads with me.
03:50 Loving Father, this is Your opportunity,
03:52 may You be praised in Jesus' name, amen.
03:59 The scripture reading this morning,
04:00 I'd like to encourage you
04:01 to read it again with me John 14:15,
04:05 let's read that together with some energy.
04:07 Are you ready? Here we go,
04:08 "If you love Me, keep My commandments."
04:13 There was a war that began
04:15 thousands of years ago in heaven.
04:18 A war that then transferred to this earth,
04:21 where every one of us knows in a very real way
04:24 that imperfection has reigned
04:26 since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden.
04:29 The simple equation is
04:32 our world is a continual representation
04:38 of what our world would be
04:40 if Satan had the unhindered opportunity
04:44 to run a government.
04:46 What we see in our world today, the rise in incarceration,
04:49 the fear of terrorism, rampant theft,
04:52 indefensible murder, failing marriages,
04:55 international conflict,
04:57 perpetual war are all symptoms
05:00 of the rejection of God's perfect law.
05:05 Isaiah 24:5, reminds us this way.
05:09 "The earth is also," what is the next word?
05:13 Defiled under its inhabitants," why?
05:16 "Because they have done" what?
05:18 Transgress the laws, Changed the ordinance,
05:22 and Broken the everlasting covenant."
05:26 God made an agreement with every one of us
05:29 that if we do what He asks us to do,
05:32 He can do what He promises to do.
05:35 The conditions that we see in the world
05:37 are a continual reminder
05:39 that what Adam passed on to us
05:42 continues to exist until this day.
05:46 But as we learned earlier this week,
05:49 the nature that Adam transferred to us is a nature
05:52 that can't do anything but sin.
05:56 Let me say that again,
05:57 because this morning I'm gonna approach
05:59 the commandments of God
06:00 from a completely different perspective.
06:01 I'm coming around the back way.
06:04 We know about the commandments of God,
06:05 we've seen them, we've read them,
06:07 we've heard about them,
06:08 but what we know is
06:10 we struggle every day to live in harmony
06:13 with the commandments of God, the question is why?
06:16 The question is why?
06:18 Because Adam gave us a bad tree
06:21 and bad trees produce bad fruit.
06:26 So if you have a bad attitude,
06:28 you're connected to a bad tree,
06:29 come on somebody talk to me.
06:31 If you have a bad relationship,
06:33 it's because we're connected to a bad tree.
06:36 You see the sin nature that we inherited
06:40 can produce all kind of sin whatever man can conceive,
06:45 man can accomplish sinfully.
06:49 To get a glimpse of how dark sin can get,
06:51 we need only look back at an antediluvian society
06:55 as Genesis 6:5 reminds us
06:58 of the Noah generation that had become indescribably evil
07:03 like our world today.
07:05 Genesis 6:5, the Bible tells us.
07:08 "And the Lord saw that" the what of man?
07:11 "The wickedness of man."
07:13 Is the world wicked today?
07:15 "The wickedness of man was" what?
07:18 "Great in the earth."
07:20 And this is why we have all these devices
07:22 that are continually in our heads.
07:25 This is what Satan is seeking to accomplish,
07:27 you can listen to the text.
07:29 "And that every intent of the thoughts of his heart
07:34 were only" what?
07:35 "Evil continually."
07:37 Let me make a very important point.
07:39 If you put corrupt music in your mind all day
07:43 and watch corrupt movies and corrupt entertainment
07:45 and go to corrupt places,
07:47 and have company that is corrupt,
07:49 you will be corrupt.
07:51 But even deeper than that
07:52 until we get rid of that nature that Adam gave to us,
07:56 we can't do anything but be corrupt.
07:59 So you can't even blame your surroundings.
08:03 You're bad tree until Jesus changes our standing with Him.
08:07 To add insult to injury,
08:09 what happened in Noah's day is being reproduced in our day.
08:13 The Bible said just before Jesus comes,
08:16 our world is going to be just like
08:18 the world was in the days of Noah.
08:20 Luke 17:26,
08:24 "And as it was in the days of Noah,
08:26 so it will be also in the days of the" what?
08:29 "Son of Man:"
08:31 The fact is, hear me carefully,
08:33 it is impossible.
08:36 What word that I just used.
08:38 It is together,
08:40 impossible for sin to exist without a law.
08:46 It is impossible to go to jail unless you've broken some law.
08:52 It's impossible to be pulled over for speeding
08:54 unless there's a law against speeding,
08:56 I know that.
09:00 It is impossible to go against the courts of the land
09:05 unless the courts of the land are replete with laws.
09:10 Now not all the laws are in our favor,
09:11 we know that men make laws and men break laws,
09:14 but when it comes to God's law,
09:16 it is impossible for sin to exist in the world
09:19 unless God has a law.
09:22 But let's go even farther back than that.
09:25 The Bible says in Romans 5:13,
09:27 "Sin is not imputed where there is no law."
09:31 In other words, you cannot be a sinner if there is no law.
09:35 You cannot be guilty of breaking any,
09:37 violating any commandment
09:39 except there is the commandments of God.
09:42 Adam could not have sinned had there been no law.
09:46 Satan could not have begun a rebellion in heaven
09:48 unless there was a law he violated,
09:50 because God's government was a perfect government
09:53 with a perfect law and Satan,
09:56 called Lucifer at the time rose up in rebellion,
10:00 disagreed with God's prerequisites
10:02 and decided he was gonna begin a rebellion
10:04 but the good news is today one third got kicked out,
10:08 two thirds remained.
10:11 They that be with us are more than they that be with them.
10:14 But before Adam sinned,
10:16 Satan was a murderer before Cain even killed Abel.
10:21 John 8:44 tells us this very clearly.
10:25 "You are of your father the devil,
10:28 and the desires of your father you want to do."
10:31 That's what the nature does, it makes us want to do it.
10:35 "He was a murderer from the" when?
10:37 "Beginning, and does not stand in the truth..."
10:41 When people don't want the truth,
10:42 they've got their father's nature,
10:44 they got Satan's nature.
10:47 And the Bible says,
10:48 "Because there is no truth in him.
10:50 When he speaks of a lie, he speaks from his" what?
10:54 "Own resources,
10:55 for he is together a liar and" what?
10:58 "The father of it."
11:00 You see when God warned Adam and Eve
11:02 of the dangers of death.
11:03 He was saying to them that any departure
11:06 from his law can only result in death.
11:12 I want you to get that very carefully this morning.
11:14 When God said to Adam and Eve,
11:16 "You shall surely die."
11:17 It is not possible that
11:20 death could not have possibly occurred unless there is a law.
11:25 If there was no law in the Garden of Eden,
11:27 if there was no law,
11:28 if God's government had no law,
11:29 Adam and Eve could not be in danger of death, why?
11:33 Roman 6:23, look at, look at what the Bible says,
11:36 "For the wages of sin is" what?
11:38 "Death."
11:40 It doesn't stop there.
11:41 Look at 1 John 3:4, "Sin is the" what?
11:45 "Transgression of the law."
11:47 So where there is no law, there is no sin.
11:50 It's not possible.
11:52 If I was speeding through Germany on the autobahn,
11:54 I could smile at a police officer
11:57 as I blow past him,
11:59 because there is no law against speed on the autobahn,
12:03 but there is a law against speed in London,
12:06 there is one in Southern Illinois.
12:08 I know that for a fact.
12:10 I got stopped a number of times by the local police officers
12:12 but they said, you know,
12:14 it's amazing how God extends grace to us
12:16 even though we are sinners, come on somebody say, amen.
12:17 Amen.
12:19 God sees us in our sin
12:20 and there are moments that God says,
12:21 "I know your foot was heavier than your mind,"
12:25 and so I've been pulled over by police officers
12:27 that have said to me, "What?
12:29 What do you do?"
12:30 And I said, "I'm a preacher."
12:32 They said, "Where are you going?"
12:33 I said, "I'm going to Thompsonville."
12:35 "What do you do out there?"
12:36 See my, my skin complexion is not prevalent
12:39 in Thompsonville.
12:41 God's got a sense of humor
12:42 where the Ku Klux Klan used to reign supremely,
12:45 I'm a pastor in that kind of community,
12:46 amen somebody.
12:48 Amen.
12:49 God's got a way of changing things around.
12:51 He fits the impossible into the possible.
12:53 He fits the possible into the impossible.
12:55 He allows His presence to be manifested
12:59 where men don't want His presence to be,
13:01 so the police officer said to me,
13:03 "I tell you what.
13:05 Just keep it down and have a good evening."
13:07 Amen, somebody. Amen.
13:09 I was on my way to New York City,
13:10 driving to go bury my dad,
13:12 and I was passing through a state called Indiana
13:15 and that's before I bought a GPS
13:17 to put on my dashboard
13:18 so I was busy looking down at my,
13:20 at my dashboard and I was turning a corner,
13:25 and as I made it around the corner
13:26 there was a highway patrolman,
13:28 he clocked me going 87 miles an hour.
13:31 He pulled me over and says,
13:32 "License and registration please!"
13:34 I gave it to him and he came back to me, he says,
13:38 "Could you tell me why you were speeding."
13:41 You know there are times you just have to tell the truth,
13:44 I said, "Officer being honest with you,
13:45 I really wasn't paying attention.
13:48 I was speeding, I really was."
13:51 He said, "I'll tell you what?
13:53 You slow it down and we can call it the good evening,
13:56 is that all right?"
13:57 He could have given me,
13:59 he could have given me a ticket over $300,
14:01 he could have taken my license.
14:02 When you go beyond a certain limit,
14:04 they've got the right to do
14:05 whatever the law requires them to do.
14:07 In the same way when we go beyond the limits of God's law,
14:11 He has the right to do what the law says He can do.
14:16 It is only by God's grace that we are saved through faith.
14:19 Amen.
14:20 We are sinners.
14:22 Without Jesus we are hopelessly lost,
14:26 but that's not the end of my sermon.
14:29 You see since the entrance of sin,
14:31 every effort on the part of humanity
14:33 to live in harmony with God's law
14:36 has fallen short of fulfilling God's ideal.
14:39 Look at what Paul says, Romans 3:23,
14:43 the Bible says, together, "For" What?
14:46 "All have sinned and" what else?
14:48 "Fall short of the glory of God."
14:52 But listen carefully,
14:53 God's law is perfect but human nature is imperfect.
14:59 Perfect law, imperfect humanity.
15:02 And the problem is not God's law,
15:03 the problem is man's nature.
15:07 The nature that man gave,
15:08 the man that we...
15:10 The nature that we received from our father Adam,
15:12 he passed on defective genetics.
15:15 We've got the DNA of sin all through us.
15:19 Even on Sabbath morning.
15:22 But Paul made it clear,
15:23 the problem is not God's law,
15:25 Romans 7:14, he says,
15:29 "For we know that the law is" what?
15:32 "Spiritual, but I am" what?
15:34 "Carnal, sold under sin."
15:38 That's that slavery language if you could look at yourself,
15:41 if you could look at yourself the way that God sees us
15:43 when we are born.
15:45 We are shackled to a nature that refuses to let us alone
15:49 until Jesus comes and breaks the cord.
15:54 Romans 7:12,
15:55 Paul reiterates, "Therefore the law is" what?
15:59 "Holy, and the commandment is" what?
16:01 Together "holy" and what else "just"
16:04 and what else "good."
16:05 This is the very same chapter where this Paul,
16:09 this newborn Paul said,
16:14 "What I want to do, I can't do it.
16:17 What I don't like to do, that's what I keep doing.
16:21 What I hate, that's what I perform.
16:24 What I want to perform, I can't do it."
16:26 And then he says, "Oh, wretched man that I am.
16:29 Who will deliver me from the body of this death?"
16:33 He wanted deliverance just like you need deliverance,
16:35 come on say amen.
16:37 Amen.
16:38 Just like we all want deliverance,
16:40 Paul thirsted for this deliverance,
16:42 and Romans 7 is not before he was born again,
16:45 Romans 7 was written after he was born again.
16:49 You see Paul, before he became converted,
16:54 he knew God's law was there
16:56 but he had no desire to keep it.
16:59 Then he, then he says,
17:00 "When the law revive when I, when I looked at the law
17:04 sin revived in me and I died."
17:07 In other words, when I saw
17:08 how ugly I look in the morning.
17:11 When I finally bought a mirror,
17:16 when I thought my teeth were clean.
17:18 Somebody said, "Look in the mirror."
17:21 When I thought my tie was straight,
17:22 somebody said, "Did you look in the mirror lately."
17:25 When I thought my suit was without wrinkle, they said,
17:27 "Look in the mirror, before you go out there."
17:31 You see the law of God is a mirror.
17:33 It is a what?
17:35 It shows us our condition,
17:37 but the law of God cannot change our condition.
17:41 It continually reminds us of our condition.
17:44 You see when you got a bad heart,
17:46 when you have a tooth ache, when you have arthritis,
17:49 whatever disease you may struggle with,
17:51 you know, your condition
17:53 but you've got to find somebody
17:54 that can remedy that condition.
17:57 The law's the same way.
17:58 It shows us who we are.
17:59 It shows us how much we need Jesus.
18:01 It says, "You are a sinner in violation
18:03 of all ten of these commandments."
18:08 In other words, a sinful nature
18:09 cannot live in harmony with God's perfect law
18:12 and God's perfect law, hear me carefully,
18:14 this is powerful,
18:16 God's perfect law is the product
18:18 of His divine nature.
18:22 What kind of nature did I say?
18:23 His divine nature,
18:25 so God's law is a divine law.
18:29 But here's the question,
18:30 the scripture reading troubles me.
18:32 He says, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."
18:35 When Jesus said that,
18:36 was He requesting some kind of divine impossibility?
18:42 Was this a divine hoax?
18:44 "If you love Me, keep My commandments,
18:47 but you can't do it."
18:50 That's troubling to me.
18:52 But you know, you know we like to repeat that
18:54 text to people that don't keep the commandments.
18:57 Folk that don't honor the Sabbath,
18:58 we say, "If you love me, keep my commandments."
19:00 Then you're lying
19:02 and you've broken the other nine,
19:04 but I'm gonna give you courage this morning.
19:06 If you may have forgotten the purpose of this message
19:08 is to say to you whether you're an Adventist
19:11 or another Christian or not even a Christian at all,
19:14 the Lord came that each one of us
19:16 might find the hope
19:17 that every one of us could live by His grace
19:21 in harmony with His perfect law.
19:25 "If you love Me, keep My commandments"
19:27 was his request, some kind of divine hoax.
19:30 I would say nay.
19:32 You see Jesus knew
19:35 that in order my brother to keep His law,
19:39 to keep His law, we had to have His nature.
19:45 The seed of Adam is a corrupt seed
19:49 capable of producing nothing but corrupt behavior.
19:54 That's why when I see people
19:55 that are involved in whatever the sin may be.
19:58 Let me encourage you this morning.
20:00 It doesn't matter what the sin is.
20:03 It could be little,
20:04 it could be big in the eyes of man
20:06 but whatever it is,
20:08 any sin at all condemns us to death.
20:12 Some people say, "Oh, I didn't,
20:14 look at what he did, look at what she did.
20:18 Doesn't matter how big the sin is
20:20 or how small it is,
20:21 the wages of sin period is death.
20:24 The seed of Adam is a corrupt seeds
20:26 capable of producing nothing but corrupt behavior.
20:29 In other words, Adam seed could never empower
20:33 or enable us to keep God's perfect law.
20:37 So here's the problem.
20:39 It's a problem here.
20:41 One of the problems about finding about a God,
20:43 one of the problems of finding out about
20:46 God's perfect law is having an imperfect nature.
20:50 I'm gonna milk this for all I can.
20:53 We see a law, this perfect law
20:58 and here is the quandary.
21:00 We know that Satan and his angels
21:02 got kicked out,
21:03 because they violated that law,
21:05 and let me make a point very clear,
21:07 we ain't getting in, in violation of God's law.
21:10 The angels as it were are looking at us intently
21:14 and they are saying,
21:15 "Father, are you sure you want them to come up here.
21:20 We had one, but if you would allow these
21:23 millions of sinners to come up here
21:26 what would happen if Satan alone rebelled.
21:29 What would happen Father
21:31 if all of these folks got up here?"
21:34 And you know what Jesus said, "I ain't done with them yet."
21:40 It has not yet been revealed what we shall be.
21:45 But we do know that
21:46 when He is revealed, we shall be,
21:48 come on say it, "Like Him for we shall see Him as He is."
21:52 That's why my favorite text has become
21:53 over the last year and a half,
21:55 "Behold what manner of love the Father
21:57 has bestowed on us,
21:59 that we should be called the children of God."
22:02 Beloved now are we the children of God.
22:05 We're not gonna become the children of God.
22:07 We are children of God now.
22:10 When you give your life to Jesus
22:12 and are born again,
22:13 young man you instantly
22:15 at that moment are no longer the son of Adam,
22:18 you're the son of God, can you say amen.
22:21 And Adam in that corrupt nature,
22:23 Satan stands back and says,
22:28 "Oh, another one got away."
22:33 We are told by inspiration that
22:34 whenever one is being rescued from the jaws of sin,
22:37 the angels, the evil angels double
22:39 and triple their efforts.
22:41 They make sure that your phone rings
22:43 when you want to have Bible studies
22:45 or your corrupt friends
22:46 come on and say let's go out to a party,
22:48 but I just got baptized.
22:49 Ah, one more partying ain't gonna hurt you.
22:51 I was there, when I gave Jesus my life,
22:54 I had many, many months
22:55 where I still went out and disc jockeyed
22:57 because I kept saying,
22:58 "Well, just one more party or just one more time"
23:02 because I didn't understand that
23:04 in order to remain in that perfect relationship with God,
23:07 I had to decide that dying once is not enough,
23:12 I had to die every day.
23:14 Amen.
23:19 But now let's fast forward to a text
23:20 that seems to present a twist,
23:23 Revelation 14:12.
23:24 If it were not for this text, I would be very discouraged.
23:28 This text seems to present a twist,
23:30 look at it together.
23:31 You know what?
23:33 Maybe let's read it together, Revelation 14:12,
23:34 the Bible says, are you ready?
23:36 "Here is the patience of the" what "Saints,
23:39 here are those who do" what?
23:41 "Keep the commandments of God and the" what else?
23:45 "Faith of Jesus."
23:47 Whenever I meet people that say,
23:48 the commandments of God can't be kept,
23:49 I said read, read this text
23:51 and tell me what it says.
23:53 Who keep, who do what?
23:55 Who keep,
23:57 but you notice the text identifies
23:59 who they are.
24:00 It didn't say,
24:02 here is the patience of the sinners.
24:04 It says here is the patience of the what?
24:05 Saints.
24:07 Jesus by His righteousness
24:09 not only changes our nature but changes our standing.
24:13 We're no longer sinners in Jesus.
24:16 We're saints in Jesus, and then He begins a process,
24:20 it's called sanctification.
24:21 He begins to change us a room at a time
24:24 as long as we wake up in the morning and say,
24:26 "Father, I still have some housecleaning to do,
24:29 I'm gonna die again."
24:30 You see this daily death is imperative to daily growth.
24:36 And some of you know it.
24:37 When you wake up in the morning and fail to read your Bible.
24:40 Fail to pray,
24:41 fail to live with the whole armor of God,
24:43 you go to work and tell somebody off.
24:46 But let me encourage you,
24:47 the Lord knew you would do that.
24:50 The Lord didn't say, you know what?
24:53 I can't...
24:55 You can't be my child.
24:56 The beauty of the gospel of God is He says,
25:00 "If anyone sins,
25:04 he has an advocate with the Father,
25:06 Jesus Christ, the what?
25:08 The righteous."
25:09 So He sees us, He knows that in the process
25:13 we are still saints in the body of a sinner.
25:20 This is deep,
25:22 because our nature is going to be changed.
25:27 I'm kind of going go ahead of myself
25:28 but I'm gonna give you a text in a moment.
25:29 Our nature by Jesus' righteousness gets changed.
25:34 Then we begin a sanctified growth process
25:41 that says to the world,
25:45 it is possible to have a defective body
25:50 but a righteous life.
25:54 Let's look at this.
25:56 You see in order to eliminate that corrupt behavior.
26:00 We needed a seed that is not corrupt.
26:05 That's where the new birth became necessary 1 Peter 1:23,
26:10 notice how the Bible describes this.
26:14 This is about the new birth, "Having been born" how?
26:19 "Again, not of corruptible seed..."
26:22 The seed that Adam gave us,
26:24 but what kind of seed?
26:25 "incorruptible, through the word of God
26:28 which does" what? "Lives and abides forever."
26:32 That's why when you study your Bible,
26:34 Paul the Apostle says,
26:35 "The word of God effectively works in those who believe."
26:40 This is a living, the book that breeds
26:42 but it's more than that.
26:45 That's why whenever Satan came to Jesus in the garden.
26:47 What did Jesus say, it is what?
26:48 It is what?
26:50 It is what?
26:51 Every time Jesus didn't say to the devil,
26:54 do you know who I am?
26:57 Get out of my face.
26:59 He didn't say, He said, "It's written,"
27:02 because He knew as a human.
27:06 He knew as a one who had taken on our flesh.
27:11 Who had become sin for us.
27:13 He demonstrated to Satan exactly
27:17 what He wants us to do in times of temptation.
27:21 The word of God,
27:22 the word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword.
27:26 Only the word of God
27:28 can be your defense in times of temptation.
27:30 That's why David said, "Thy word have I done what?
27:33 Hide in my heart that I might not what?
27:35 That I might not sin against thee."
27:36 Don't think of the word of God
27:38 is just a good book to have Bible studies.
27:40 It is a breeding book, it is a living book.
27:42 It is spiritually nourishing,
27:44 and only the power found in it
27:47 can connect to the nature that we accept from Christ,
27:51 and then the process takes to get.
27:52 It's like, it's like super charged vitamins.
27:56 You know here in London
27:57 you can buy vitamin B
27:59 that you could just inject directly into your veins,
28:02 can't buy that in the States.
28:04 In Australia you can buy vitamin B.
28:06 that you can just give yourself a shot of vitamin B.
28:09 I always see people that are just hyper never tired
28:12 and I said, "What have you taken?"
28:14 They said, "I took my shot of vitamin B."
28:17 I want to tell you the righteousness of Jesus
28:19 is more powerful than vitamin B.
28:20 Somebody ought to say amen.
28:22 But let's continue.
28:24 So in this new birth,
28:25 we have a, what kind of seed?
28:27 An incorruptible, say that word,
28:29 an incorruptible seed.
28:30 So since the corruptible seed has been replaced
28:33 with an incorruptible seed,
28:37 the corrupt behavior has been replaced
28:41 with incorrupt behavior.
28:43 You see there are some people that you see that
28:45 you've known for a while
28:46 and then you notice the changes in their lives
28:49 and then you say,
28:52 "Under normal circumstances brother
28:53 so and so would have told me off already."
29:01 And there's some people that are like wounded puppies,
29:03 they remember what happened in their last confrontation
29:06 with sister so and so,
29:09 but all of a sudden this time she says,
29:11 "It's all right, don't worry about it."
29:14 And you walk away almost like you're expecting
29:17 something to happen because, you know,
29:18 now how is that possible that sister
29:21 so and so could be so nice when a few months ago,
29:24 boy, she almost took my head off in church."
29:26 It's the transforming indwelling power
29:29 of the Spirit of Christ.
29:31 There's a powerful text
29:32 that shows us how this happens.
29:33 This is amazing.
29:35 Look at 1 John 3:9, this text may...
29:37 This text might hit you right between the eyes,
29:39 but I'm gonna break it down in just a moment.
29:41 Are you ready? Here we go.
29:42 1 John 3:9, look at what happens
29:44 when that seed comes in.
29:46 This is amazing text.
29:48 The Bible says, "Whoever has been" what?
29:51 "Born of God does not" what?"
29:59 "For his seed remains in him, and he cannot sin,
30:03 because he has been born of God."
30:04 I got to ask you a serious question.
30:07 Is God a sinner?
30:08 No.
30:10 So if we have the seed of God in us,
30:15 is it possible that this verse can become
30:19 a reality in our lives.
30:22 We're gonna go even deeper than that.
30:25 You see being born again is not a modification of our behavior.
30:29 Being born again is not a second chance.
30:31 You don't, you don't overcome sin by saying,
30:34 "Okay, I will not tell a lie.
30:36 I will not tell a lie.
30:38 I will not tell a lie."
30:41 It's not positive thinking,
30:43 it is a transformation of that
30:45 old character into a new character.
30:48 So when you go to a good tree looking for bad fruit,
30:51 you look around and say
30:52 but I thought this was a bad tree,
30:54 somebody say, "No, the bad tree is over there.
30:56 This is the good tree."
30:57 Amen somebody?
30:59 You see a bad tree cannot produce good fruit
31:01 and a good tree cannot produce what kind of fruit?
31:04 Bad fruit.
31:05 Why?
31:07 Because the difference is the seed.
31:10 So Jesus doesn't just modify our behavior.
31:13 The new behavior is possible only through the new seed.
31:17 Jesus removed the seed of Adam and planted his seed in us.
31:22 Now ladies you ought to understand this
31:23 if you have children.
31:26 Some of your children coming out looking like
31:28 you all look like your husband.
31:30 And sometimes,
31:32 you could walk in church and say,
31:33 "That's got to be Brother Johnson's son.
31:35 Looks just like him."
31:39 You know you have your mother's head.
31:43 I got my family's ears, come on help me out.
31:46 Can't get rid of them, inherited these ears.
31:49 I'm gonna have them until I get a new head.
31:53 You might be able to recognize me in heaven, there he is.
31:58 We take on a genetic property of our mother or our father.
32:04 Got his father's eyes,
32:05 you look more like your mother than your dad.
32:07 When we are born of the seed of God,
32:10 when we are born of the seed of Jesus,
32:12 we start looking like our father,
32:15 talking like our father.
32:16 Come on, forgiving like our father.
32:20 Being patient like our father, because the Bible says,
32:23 "The fruit of the spirit is what?
32:25 Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness,
32:29 meekness, patience."
32:31 And why does God do that?
32:32 Because He wants to save the world
32:34 but He's got to give the world a sample
32:37 of what it means to not be of the world.
32:41 Here's my point.
32:42 If the world looks just like you
32:46 and you look just like the world,
32:48 they don't need what you have
32:50 ''cause they ain't doing nothing for you.
32:52 So often we preach doctrines.
32:54 The greatest doctrine that you can preach
32:57 is the transforming of a corrupt character
32:59 into a character like the character of Jesus.
33:03 I love prophecy in Revelation.
33:05 I could spend my life on that
33:07 but I've discovered lately as an evangelist,
33:09 I discovered Pastor John,
33:11 don't begin a message with Daniel 2,
33:14 that's prophecy and nobody could argue with that,
33:18 so you got all these people
33:19 that are prophetically informed
33:22 but spiritually corrupt.
33:25 We talk about the coming of Jesus
33:26 but I'm not even ready for it.
33:29 So I said, "Father, what should I do?"
33:30 He said, "Tell them about Jesus."
33:33 Tell them about the one that came to change their standing,
33:36 their nature, to empower them
33:37 to reflect their light.
33:39 Why would Jesus say, "I am the light of the world."
33:41 And then He says, "Let your light so shine.
33:44 If he's telling you go borrow somebody else's light."
33:47 He says, "Ye are the light of the world.
33:50 You follow me shall not walk in darkness
33:53 but have the light of life."
33:55 What I love about this sermon is this.
33:59 In the Garden of Eden,
34:01 when Adam and Eve fell into sin.
34:03 Jesus predicted, He said to Adam,
34:07 you really messed up.
34:09 You really messed up.
34:10 Could I mess with you,
34:12 He said, Adam you really, you are...
34:15 You shouldn't have done it.
34:17 You really messed up.
34:18 But I can't leave you in this garden.
34:19 Now, by the way I'm gonna change your address.
34:22 You are not going back to live by the tree of life.
34:26 That's your choice.
34:28 And Eve, you gonna have pain all the rest of your life,
34:32 and Adam you're going to sweat
34:34 as long as you work in the garden
34:35 until the day you return to the dust.
34:36 That was your choice,
34:38 but Adam I got to give you some good news.
34:40 Here it is in Genesis 3:15,
34:42 I will tell you that
34:43 what you did I am going to reverse.
34:46 Genesis 3:15, look what the Bible says.
34:49 Jesus said in that garden that fateful day, He said,
34:52 "I will put enmity Between you and the woman,
34:57 And between your seed..."
34:59 He's looking at the serpent.
35:00 He's looking at Satan saying,
35:01 "I will put enmity Between you and the woman,
35:05 between your seed and her Seed,
35:07 He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel."
35:12 He's using the word seed.
35:14 See, now that the seed has come into the world,
35:16 I've got to do something about this seed.
35:19 The word enmity is discomfort.
35:21 That's why whenever we sin,
35:22 there's a discomfort that comes with it.
35:25 There's a discomfort that comes with it,
35:26 but the Lord didn't just talk about discomfort.
35:28 He was talking about the ultimate victory
35:31 over the seed of Adam,
35:33 which is through the seed of Christ.
35:34 Somebody ought to say amen.
35:37 You see the new birth produces in us
35:40 through the seed of Christ,
35:42 this new birth is transformed,
35:43 this is a divine transaction now.
35:47 Jesus placed within us a new seed,
35:50 a what, church?
35:52 That now empowers us to accomplish
35:54 what we could not have accomplished
35:56 with Adam's nature.
35:58 Look at the transaction.
36:00 2 Peter 1:4, 2 Peter 1:4,
36:05 well, how beautiful this text is,
36:07 "By which have been given to us"
36:11 what's the next word?
36:12 "Exceedingly great and precious promises,
36:16 that through these,
36:18 that is through these promises, you may be partakers of..."
36:22 Here it is, are you ready.
36:24 Here it is, what is it?
36:25 "The divine nature, having escaped to the" what?
36:30 "Corruption that is in the world through lust."
36:34 The Lord says, this corruption that Adam brought,
36:37 the only way that you gonna escape
36:38 it is through a divine nature.
36:40 The only way out of that
36:41 messed up situation is a divine nature.
36:46 And as long as we remain in that corrupt situation
36:49 and without the divine nature,
36:50 there is no way that
36:51 we can reflect the character of God.
36:53 There is no way that we can reveal it.
36:55 There is no way that
36:56 we can overcome the temptations that come our way.
36:58 There is no way that we can do right
37:00 because there is none that is good,
37:01 no, not one.
37:02 So this divine transaction...
37:04 Now, let me ask a question.
37:06 Can those who partake of a divine nature
37:10 keep a divine law?
37:14 Don't be afraid, it's not a trick question.
37:18 Okay, let me, let me ask it another way.
37:20 Can God be in harmony with His law?
37:23 Yes.
37:24 Why?
37:26 Because He's divine,
37:27 so He looks at us and says, now,
37:28 right now you have Adam's nature,
37:30 but if you're born again,
37:31 I'm gonna give you a different nature.
37:33 I'm going to let you partake of my nature,
37:37 and when you partake of my nature now
37:40 and only now can you live in harmony
37:44 with a divine law.
37:46 So let me ask a question again, not a trick question.
37:48 Can those who partake of His divine nature
37:51 keep His divine law?
37:53 Yes.
37:54 Paul says it this way, Philippians 4:13, you know,
37:56 are you ready.
37:58 "I can do" what?
37:59 "All things through Christ who strengthens me."
38:02 Amen somebody?
38:04 Amen.
38:06 But in your mind you're still troubled.
38:08 In your mind you're still troubled,
38:10 because you're thinking,
38:12 you're thinking, "Okay, you know,
38:13 I really messed up this week.
38:15 Ah, I blew it a number of times."
38:17 So what's he talking about?
38:21 I hear you, I'm not done yet.
38:24 I did messed up a whole lot this week.
38:27 What's he talking about.
38:28 I know this week I lie, I stumbled,
38:32 I did this, I did that
38:35 so where is this divine seed that's gonna help me out.
38:40 I said to you a moment ago and I reiterate.
38:42 You did that, you did what you did
38:45 because you remained alive.
38:48 Did you hear what I just said?
38:51 Paul says, "I die every day."
38:55 He knew that it is not possible elder.
38:58 It's not possible to wake up in the morning
39:00 and keep you alive and live like Jesus.
39:03 Did you get what I said?
39:04 It's not possible to keep you alive
39:07 and live like somebody else.
39:09 You will do what you do
39:11 because Jesus has not been invited in again today.
39:15 Now, let me, let me clear this up,
39:18 because somebody is saying well,
39:19 am I saved today and am I lost?
39:22 Am I lost yesterday and saved tomorrow.
39:24 Do I go through a save and lost relationship,
39:26 that's not what the Bible teaches.
39:29 We are in a sanctifying walk with Christ.
39:32 What kind of walk did I say?
39:34 And the sanctification is a growth process,
39:37 but get this,
39:38 we grow in grace.
39:41 We grow in what? Grace.
39:43 Why do you need grace?
39:44 Because you ain't perfect yet.
39:48 There's something we still possess.
39:51 Pinch it.
39:57 You've been born again
39:58 but you've got something that's still hanging around,
40:00 it's called the flesh.
40:02 Come on, what's it called?
40:03 Flesh.
40:05 Now I don't know about you,
40:06 but there are certain things that are still in my mind.
40:09 See I still know how to dance.
40:10 I'm not gonna do any demonstration.
40:14 Some of you still know how to cuss.
40:20 Don't look around.
40:22 Some of you got wandering eyes still.
40:25 Rushing hands and roaming fingers.
40:28 Some of you still are cheap,
40:29 don't know how to pay an honest tithe.
40:31 I'm looking at the lights by the way.
40:35 And we wonder why is that,
40:37 why do we go down that road?
40:39 Because we have not allowed ourselves.
40:41 Here is where the battle is every day.
40:42 There's a battle between,
40:44 there's something we still have that
40:45 Adam gave us in the very beginning.
40:47 You know what it is?
40:48 The sinful flesh.
40:51 You see we were saved first from the penalty of sin,
40:54 from the watch, church?
40:55 The penalty of sin.
40:57 In other words, God took us off of death row
41:00 and that's through the new birth.
41:03 Every day when we submit ourselves to Christ,
41:06 we are being saved from the power.
41:09 Say that word again, "The power of sin."
41:12 Therefore, that's why Paul says,
41:14 "Don't let sin reign in your mortal body,
41:17 that you should obey it in its lust thereof."
41:19 In other words, when you wake up in the morning
41:21 and you don't put God's word in your mind like David said,
41:24 the only barrier, the only defense
41:26 we have on a day by day basis.
41:27 This is where Bible study come in.
41:29 If you think that your Bible is just something
41:30 you carry on Sabbath,
41:31 you are person that's stumbling all week long.
41:34 David said, "Thy word, have I hit my what?
41:37 Thy word have I hid in my what?
41:39 That I might not what? Sin.
41:41 He knows that unless the word is in there,
41:43 you are going to sin.
41:46 Let me give another example.
41:48 You try to be strong and not...
41:49 Don't eat for four days
41:52 and try to be strong within weekends.
41:54 There was a man in Alaska that had dogs that
41:57 they would fight on the weekends,
41:59 he had huskies and German shepherds
42:01 and every weekend,
42:02 they would fight and people would bet on these dogs.
42:06 And he would always bet on the dog that won,
42:08 and somebody once said, you know,
42:09 "Sir, I got to ask you.
42:11 You have never lost.
42:13 Every time you bet you win.
42:14 How is that possible?"
42:17 He said, "It's simple,
42:19 in order for me to know which dog is going to win,
42:21 I feed one all week long
42:23 and I starve another one all week long."
42:25 And the one I starve is gonna lose,
42:28 the one I feed is going to win."
42:31 If you don't feed yourself on the word that breeds,
42:33 you're gonna lose.
42:34 Come on talk to me.
42:36 The only reason why God has given us
42:38 the word that breeds,
42:40 the book that breeds.
42:42 It is not only a book that breeds,
42:44 it is the incorruptible word of God,
42:46 it is the bread of life,
42:48 "Man shall not live by bread alone
42:51 but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."
42:58 You see, the fact of the matter is,
43:00 through the indwelling word, through the indwelling Christ,
43:03 through the power of the indwelling Spirit,
43:06 we are able to live in harmony with God's perfect law.
43:10 That's why the devil is so upset.
43:13 Look at Revelation 12:17,
43:16 Revelation 12:17,
43:19 the Bible says, "And the dragon was what.
43:21 Wroth with the woman,
43:23 and went to make war with the" what?
43:25 Remnant of her seed," and what did they do?
43:28 "Which keep the commandments of God,
43:31 and have their" what?
43:32 "Testimony of Jesus."
43:34 The devil would not be angry
43:37 if he did not know
43:38 that the commandments of God can be kept.
43:41 He wouldn't be angry,
43:43 but now here is, let's get even deeper.
43:45 To say that we are the commandment keepers of God,
43:48 are you ready, elder?
43:50 To say that we are the church
43:51 that keep the commandments of God,
43:52 yet we have given the world no evidence
43:55 that we live in harmony with it,
43:56 is to say we have no message.
44:03 We love to say to folk,
44:07 why don't you keep the Sabbath?
44:10 Because, see, we think
44:12 that the commandments are just one.
44:16 Now, I don't have the time to do it,
44:18 I'll do it in my sermon this evening,
44:19 I'll walk you through all Ten Commandments
44:21 for the purpose of bringing out one
44:23 and exalt them all.
44:25 Every one of the commandments of God is God's commands,
44:27 amen somebody?
44:29 Amen.
44:30 But we say to folk,
44:32 why don't you keep the Sabbath?
44:34 And what is God's day, it's a sanctify day, you know.
44:38 The Lord said, "That's true"
44:39 but the world needs a visual representation
44:43 of a sanctified Christian.
44:45 Amen.
44:47 You can't keep a sanctified day with an unsanctified life.
44:51 And to keep a day without a sanctified life
44:54 is just to keep the day you have a vacation day.
44:57 But you don't have anything to reflect to the world
44:59 about the character of Jesus,
45:01 and so the Lord comes along,
45:02 Jesus comes along.
45:04 Praise the Lord for that, He comes along,
45:06 enters our lives through the power of His Holy Spirit,
45:09 and then He says, okay, yes,
45:11 you'll not only live in harmony with my law
45:14 but you reflect to the world
45:15 the sanctifying influence and power
45:18 of what it means to be a child of God
45:20 in a corrupt world.
45:23 So the devil says, these folk really trouble me.
45:27 You see the best...
45:30 I've got to say this the right way.
45:35 I can't say this...
45:36 like I don't want to sound like I'm boasting.
45:40 But shouldn't it be true
45:42 that those who keep the commandments of God
45:44 by His grace
45:46 have the best message about the righteousness of Jesus,
45:53 because you can't keep the commands of God
45:54 without the righteousness of Jesus.
45:57 So if I'm gonna preach, keep my commandments,
45:59 I should have the best message about the righteousness
46:04 and sufficiency of the power available only in Jesus
46:09 because I'm saying,
46:11 look what the Lord has done for me.
46:13 I honor the commandments.
46:14 Somebody says, "No, you can't."
46:15 I said, "You're right, I can't."
46:17 When somebody says,
46:18 "Can you keep the commandments?"
46:19 Say, "No, I can't, but in Jesus I can."
46:22 The Israelites made the problem.
46:23 They made a mistake when,
46:25 when Moses showed them the law,
46:26 they said, "Oh, that the Lord has said we will do."
46:29 And they messed up royally.
46:32 When I wake up in the morning,
46:33 I say, Lord Jesus, you know,
46:35 if I start to go out today to pastor,
46:36 or give Bible studies, or visit,
46:39 or whatever I do this day without Your power,
46:41 I am going to mess up royally."
46:43 And you come back in the evening.
46:45 Don't you think that the father says,
46:46 "Okay son, okay daughter,
46:48 I know you asked me to forgive you yesterday,
46:50 and the day before, and the day before,
46:52 and you keep repeating that same old sin.
46:54 Why don't you try something different?
46:56 Why don't you partake of my divine nature,
46:58 so you will discover that I can keep you from falling
47:02 unto Him that is able to keep you from, what?
47:06 Falling and to present you faultless
47:08 before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.
47:12 The joy that comes into our lives
47:14 is when we connect to this undiluted powerful nature
47:17 called the righteousness of Jesus.
47:19 And then through that righteousness,
47:21 we step out in a corrupt world
47:23 and wherever we walk there is a light beaming
47:25 from heaven through our lives to a society
47:27 that needs to see that Christ is the way out.
47:33 The only way out.
47:36 Go down to Psalms 19:7,
47:37 my sister just fast forward to Psalms 19:7.
47:45 The commandments of God are designed
47:47 to accomplish two things in us,
47:49 Psalms 19:7, look at the text.
47:51 The Bible says, "The law of the Lord is? what?
47:54 "Perfect doing" what?
47:56 "Converting the soul,
47:58 The testimony of the Lord is" what?
48:00 "Sure making wise the simple."
48:03 Since we have partaken of a divine nature,
48:08 we don't have to keep the commandments of God
48:10 through stumbling and bumblings and mumblings.
48:13 We don't have to continue to reflect on our weaknesses,
48:16 but don't make the mistake and say to somebody
48:19 that the commandments of God had become a burden to me.
48:23 There are some folk who'd say,
48:24 you're still bound by the commandments,
48:27 you guys keep the commandments,
48:28 isn't that a burden?
48:30 Brother, if I'm free, it can't be a burden.
48:33 If I'm free and happy, if you, if you are,
48:37 if you are happy when you see me coming.
48:43 If you say, "I love working but brother so and so.
48:45 Oh, I love working with sister so and so, why?
48:47 They remind me of Jesus.
48:50 It cannot be a burden.
48:51 1 John 5:3, the Bible says,
48:54 "For this is the love of God,
48:55 for this is what" church?
48:56 "The love of God that we" what?
48:58 "Keep His commandments
49:00 and His commandments are not" what?
49:02 "They are not burdensome."
49:07 How many of you, I need you to respond.
49:09 How many of you
49:12 don't have a mirror in your house?
49:20 Just checking,
49:23 I know you do, because you look good.
49:28 But if you look into the perfect law of liberty
49:32 and continue there in,
49:34 not being just a hearer but a doer of the word.
49:39 The law of liberty, the law of what?
49:42 Liberty.
49:44 You see the beauty of the message
49:45 of salvation is this.
49:47 One day and I'm winding up brother,
49:50 could you play that song you were playing this morning,
49:53 I must tell Jesus.
49:55 You see the beauty of the salvation that
49:57 we find in Jesus is one day
50:01 a whole lot of used to be shaky folk
50:05 are gonna walk through a gate into the New Jerusalem.
50:08 Somebody that used to lie is gonna say wait a minute,
50:11 I'll meet you on the inside
50:12 because they gonna go through the Simeon and Levi gate.
50:18 People who like to fight are gonna go
50:20 through the Simeon and Levi gate.
50:22 These brothers are rough.
50:25 Somebody that likes to eat
50:28 is gonna go through the Asher gate
50:30 'cause God gave them victory over appetite.
50:32 Come on say amen somebody.
50:34 Somebody that was cheap
50:36 would hardly want to pay God an honest tithe,
50:39 they're gonna go through the Zebulun gate.
50:40 God is gonna loosen their purse.
50:42 One day they're gonna become liberal in Jesus,
50:46 because they gonna be a change individual.
50:50 Somebody's gonna one day go through the Joseph gate.
50:52 Joseph always talked about how nice he was dressed.
50:55 You know, he had a pretty coat you know
50:57 Somebody's going to say, Joseph,
50:58 that ain't about your coat, it's about my coat,
51:00 my righteousness.
51:01 So a whole lot of dressed up
51:03 folk are gonna go through one day that Joseph gate.
51:09 But there's one gate that's not going to be there.
51:12 It's called the Dan gate.
51:14 You know why Dan is not gonna be there?
51:17 You see in the original 49 tribes Dan
51:19 and the original 12 tribes in Genesis 49.
51:22 Dan was mentioned,
51:24 but Dan was that person
51:25 that focused on everybody else's sin except his own.
51:30 And God replaced him with Manassa.
51:32 Dan is not in Revelation Chapter 7.
51:34 He's not there.
51:36 You see brothers and sisters when the Lord says,
51:37 "If you love Me, keep My commandments."
51:39 You know what He's saying to us?
51:41 Stop focus on everybody else's issues
51:43 and focus on your own.
51:45 We are living in the late hour,
51:46 the Lord is saying examine yourself
51:49 to see whether or not you are in the faith.
51:51 Try yourself and accept Christ abides in you,
51:55 you are disqualified,
51:57 or as the King James Version says,
51:58 "We are reprobate, we cannot reflect Jesus."
52:01 So this morning,
52:03 the reality of this message is,
52:06 I want to be a saint that goes through one of those 12 gates.
52:09 What about you?
52:10 I don't care what gate I go through.
52:12 I don't care if I'm going first or going last
52:14 as long as the gate shuts behind me.
52:16 But this morning somebody wants to say to Jesus.
52:20 I must tell you all of my trials,
52:23 I cannot bear these burdens alone.
52:26 This morning, if there's somebody here
52:27 that wants to go through one of those gates,
52:30 that want to say this morning by standing,
52:32 I want to let the world know
52:35 that I am a reflection of who Jesus is.
52:38 If that's your desire this morning
52:40 that you want to reflect that undiluted beautiful,
52:44 loving, character of Jesus.
52:47 If that's your desire this morning,
52:48 I want to you stand with me.
52:49 Praise the Lord,
52:51 somebody stood without even being asked.
52:54 The world needs to see it.
52:56 The world needs to see folk that not just sing songs,
53:00 but live the life,
53:01 not people that just go to church.
53:03 They're not in the church, but the church is in them.
53:07 They're not just talking about Jesus,
53:09 but they're reflecting Him.
53:11 They're revealing Him.
53:13 The Lord wants the world to see young men
53:15 they know how to keep their hands to themselves.
53:20 Young ladies that know
53:22 how to wait till they're married.
53:24 Come on somebody talk to me.
53:26 People that can look at a bottle of alcohol
53:28 and turn around and walk away.
53:30 Only by the indwelling power of Christ
53:32 can that be accomplished.
53:33 So this morning,
53:35 the Lord is not looking for commandment keeper,
53:36 He's looking for people
53:38 that want to accept the righteousness of Jesus,
53:40 the sin pardoning savior, the empowering savior.
53:44 That's who the Lord is looking for this morning.
53:48 Is there somebody here this morning that says,
53:50 "My Heavenly Father knows I'm a sinner."
53:52 But this morning I want him to change
53:54 my standing with heaven.
53:56 So I'm gonna open the doors of the church
53:58 while we're gonna sing the song,
53:59 I must tell Jesus.
54:00 I'm gonna open the doors,
54:02 and I'm gonna be very specifically this morning.
54:03 This is not just a general call for everybody to run on down
54:08 but there is somebody here this morning
54:09 that came here today that says,
54:11 "Heavenly Father,
54:14 I want to leave here this morning
54:16 knowing that when I walk out of here,
54:18 I walk out of here with Jesus inside of me
54:21 to begin a new walk, a new life.
54:24 I want to walk out of here today,
54:26 knowing that if anything occurs in my life,
54:30 I will have the assurance of salvation
54:33 when Jesus comes."
54:34 Is there somebody here today,
54:37 regardless of your category, your age,
54:39 whether you're a visitor or not.
54:40 Jesus came to die and save you.
54:42 He wants your life today
54:44 to be written down in the book of life.
54:47 He wants you to know that you're forgiven,
54:49 but He's come to change the way you walk,
54:51 to change the way you talk,
54:53 to change the way you live.
54:54 He's come to clean your record
54:57 and say to the world, this is my child.
55:00 This is my son.
55:01 This is my daughter.
55:03 If there is somebody here today
55:04 that wants that prayer,
55:06 I want you to come down here and join me.
55:08 I don't want you to think about anybody else but yourself.
55:12 Anybody today wants that righteousness of Jesus.
55:15 Now, you might get this mixed up
55:17 with church membership,
55:18 I told you it ain't about church membership.
55:21 If you get this mixed up with church membership,
55:23 you're in the wrong camp.
55:24 I'm talking about somebody
55:26 who wants the righteousness of Jesus.
55:28 Praise the Lord, sister, anybody else
55:31 who wants the righteousness of Jesus
55:34 to be revealed in his or her life.
55:36 Praise the Lord, is somebody else coming down.
55:39 You want the righteousness of Jesus
55:41 to be revealed in your life.
55:44 Praise the Lord.
55:46 Praise the Lord.
55:48 The ladies got good ears,
55:49 I want to see if there's young men
55:50 that can hear me today.
55:52 This is, is there a young man or man at all that wants to be,
55:54 wants to be the man
55:56 that the world can see Jesus in.
55:58 Somebody here today brave enough
56:00 to come and stand for Jesus.
56:03 Anybody here today.
56:06 I must tell Jesus
56:10 All of my trials
56:14 Put the words if there.
56:16 I cannot bear
56:20 These burdens alone
56:24 Look what He says.
56:26 In my distress
56:31 He kindly will help me
56:34 Why?
56:36 He ever loves and cares for His own
56:43 Let's sing that chorus,
56:45 so what...
56:46 I must tell Jesus
56:51 I must tell Jesus
56:56 I cannot bear
57:00 My burdens alone
57:07 I must tell Jesus
57:12 I must tell Jesus
57:17 Jesus can help me
57:22 Jesus alone
57:26 As the musicians play softly this morning,
57:27 I'm opening the doors of the church.
57:30 You see somebody needs to know that
57:32 new life is available today.
57:34 Today is the day of salvation.
57:37 Today is the acceptable time,
57:38 today is the moment that you need to get things
57:41 right between you and Jesus.
