a religious man. And Jesus began
a conversation with Nicodemus,

because Nicodemus, so fearful of
what people thought about him,

that he came to Jesus by night.

better to come to Jesus by night

Jesus addressed two issues.

He first addressed the fact...

...that Nicodemus
could not see the kingdom.

But then he goes

Nicodemus can't
enter the kingdom.

And I would suggest to
you that you need to see

where you're going.

In order for you
to enter anything,

you need to have eyes to get in.

The Lord said to Nicodemus,
With the eyes that you presently

Let's revisit that text

You know, there are certain
truths in the Bible that you

But let me suggest that unless
you pray for God to give you

Spiritual sight, you can
read the book that breathes

and never breathe at all.

You can see things in God's word
that don't make any sense at all

because you don't
have Spiritual eyes.

As we said, Spiritual things
are what? Spiritually discerned.

So when the Lord said you cannot
see, He took it a step further

to say to Nicodemus, this
very well educated religious man

of the Sanhedrin, of the Order
of the High Priest, He said,

Not only can you not see, but
because your eyes are blinded,

you can't even enter.

And so there are two
conditions that every one

of us must resolve.

We must pray for God to
give us Spiritual eyesight.

There are certain things in
the world that people that are

and all they hear are two
notes, and they know exactly.

They know exactly

because they've trained their
ears to listen and understand

in a certain direction.

Until our eyes are trained,
until our eyes are made clear,

see, but we cannot hear,

That's why Nicodemus said what
he did in verse 4 of John 3.

Notice what he said.

A wise man, but ignorant in

can't do it that way.

grasp the Spiritual process.

And I said to him, As
long as you can breathe,

you can be baptized.

When the Lord gives you that
opportunity to enter into that
