Hello, ASI. 00:04:57.86\00:05:01.13 Are you encouraged? 00:05:01.16\00:05:03.73 Are you inspired? 00:05:03.77\00:05:06.27 Okay, we are... Oh, yes, I'm supposed to be here. 00:05:06.30\00:05:11.01 Okay, I don't play the violin so that's the wrong place. 00:05:11.04\00:05:13.91 Okay, so I have with me 00:05:13.94\00:05:15.91 Pastor Sam and Pastor Scott Griswold, 00:05:15.94\00:05:19.05 and they have a ministry that I think is amazing 00:05:19.08\00:05:22.32 and that everyone in this auditorium 00:05:22.35\00:05:25.25 can be a part of. 00:05:25.29\00:05:26.76 And so, Pastor Sam, you are from where? 00:05:26.79\00:05:29.69 I am from Burma. 00:05:29.72\00:05:31.19 Okay, Myanmar now, right? Now Myanmar. 00:05:31.23\00:05:33.70 Okay, yeah, now Myanmar. 00:05:33.73\00:05:35.26 Now you came to America to be... 00:05:35.30\00:05:37.70 to go to the seminary. 00:05:37.73\00:05:39.07 Yes, at Andrews University. Okay. 00:05:39.10\00:05:40.84 So you wanted to be a pastor, 00:05:40.87\00:05:42.20 but before that what were you doing? 00:05:42.24\00:05:43.81 I was a missionary before that. And before that? 00:05:43.84\00:05:46.54 Before that, I was in the business study field, yes. 00:05:46.57\00:05:50.31 So you were an ASI member? I wish I was. 00:05:50.35\00:05:53.92 Yes, okay, but you could have been an ASI member, 00:05:53.95\00:05:56.55 and like many of these people, you had your own business 00:05:56.58\00:05:59.19 and then you decided to go into God's work. 00:05:59.22\00:06:01.76 Now at the seminary, 00:06:01.79\00:06:04.43 as you were studying to be a minister 00:06:04.46\00:06:06.03 you saw a great need, what was that? 00:06:06.06\00:06:08.16 I saw multitudes of refugees coming from all over the world, 00:06:08.20\00:06:11.73 especially from countries 00:06:11.77\00:06:13.13 like Iraq, and Afghanistan, and Somalia, 00:06:13.17\00:06:15.80 countries where it's very difficult or impossible 00:06:15.84\00:06:18.54 to share the gospel. 00:06:18.57\00:06:19.91 Yes, and we want to send missionaries 00:06:19.94\00:06:21.98 to those countries to reach them 00:06:22.01\00:06:24.51 and here the people are coming right into our backyards. 00:06:24.55\00:06:28.58 And I felt strong impression inside of me 00:06:28.62\00:06:31.32 that there needs to be someone. 00:06:31.35\00:06:33.89 Maybe I'm the one that should be. 00:06:33.92\00:06:35.49 So finally, I saw the need 00:06:35.52\00:06:37.43 and I felt the Holy Spirit working inside of me 00:06:37.46\00:06:39.69 to work with them. 00:06:39.73\00:06:41.16 You know, lot of people see the needs. 00:06:41.20\00:06:43.40 Yes. 00:06:43.43\00:06:44.77 But sometimes or many times that need goes unfulfilled 00:06:44.80\00:06:48.87 because we don't know what to do, okay, 00:06:48.90\00:06:51.04 but you knew what to do and what was that? 00:06:51.07\00:06:53.54 To surrender everything to God. 00:06:53.58\00:06:56.11 Okay, and how did you fill this need? 00:06:56.14\00:06:59.78 I spent time in fasting and prayer 00:06:59.81\00:07:02.72 and God impressed upon my heart 00:07:02.75\00:07:05.02 which group of people to work with. 00:07:05.05\00:07:07.82 Okay, now fasting and prayer 00:07:07.86\00:07:10.23 is what we all need to do to begin our ministry, 00:07:10.26\00:07:13.43 but sometimes when we start our ministry, 00:07:13.46\00:07:15.20 we want to be a big grand ministry. 00:07:15.23\00:07:18.27 But how did you start? I started from scratch. 00:07:18.30\00:07:21.80 I did not have a car and the refugees, 00:07:21.84\00:07:24.01 if I want to reach out to, 00:07:24.04\00:07:25.37 like two hours or three hours drive away from where I was. 00:07:25.41\00:07:28.61 So many times, I had to leave on Friday afternoon 00:07:28.64\00:07:31.71 to Indianapolis or to Chicago, 00:07:31.75\00:07:33.95 and on Tuesday I would be praying for a vehicle, 00:07:33.98\00:07:37.52 for God to provide me someone to give me a ride. 00:07:37.55\00:07:41.12 And if there would be no transportation or vehicle 00:07:41.16\00:07:43.83 that would be provided to me by Wednesday, 00:07:43.86\00:07:45.69 on Thursday I would fast and pray. 00:07:45.73\00:07:47.93 And then what would happen? Okay. 00:07:47.96\00:07:50.00 Almost all the time by Thursday afternoon as I end my fast, 00:07:50.03\00:07:56.24 God would impress upon my heart very strongly and said, 00:07:56.27\00:07:59.14 "My son, your logistic is taken care of." 00:07:59.17\00:08:00.94 And he would give me that peace of mind 00:08:00.98\00:08:02.31 that no human being can take away from me. 00:08:02.34\00:08:04.81 And so you would have a car 00:08:04.85\00:08:06.18 and you would go to these people 00:08:06.21\00:08:07.95 and what would you do once you reach them? 00:08:07.98\00:08:10.59 Once I reach them, I help them apply for jobs. 00:08:10.62\00:08:13.96 These are refugees that like to work, 00:08:13.99\00:08:15.66 they enjoy working hard, and they are good workers. 00:08:15.69\00:08:18.66 So I help them with job applications, 00:08:18.69\00:08:20.40 I help them with job interviews, 00:08:20.43\00:08:21.96 I even help them at job orientation. 00:08:22.00\00:08:24.23 Okay, so, now these people when they come, 00:08:24.27\00:08:27.30 they get government assistance but for how long? 00:08:27.34\00:08:29.87 Most of the time it's three months and... 00:08:29.90\00:08:31.24 Three months. 00:08:31.27\00:08:32.61 And the government expect them to find jobs 00:08:32.64\00:08:34.24 and be able to stand on their own feet 00:08:34.28\00:08:35.98 in three months time as possible. 00:08:36.01\00:08:37.35 So after that they're on their own. 00:08:37.38\00:08:38.71 They're on their own. 00:08:38.75\00:08:40.08 But they don't know the language. 00:08:40.12\00:08:41.45 They don't know the language. Yes. 00:08:41.48\00:08:42.82 Okay, and they don't know 00:08:42.85\00:08:44.19 how the American workplace works. 00:08:44.22\00:08:45.55 That's right. 00:08:45.59\00:08:46.92 And also how the government works. 00:08:46.96\00:08:48.29 Yes, and that's the result they're very stressful. 00:08:48.32\00:08:51.09 And they're always looking for genuine friends 00:08:51.13\00:08:53.46 that would love them, that would support them, 00:08:53.50\00:08:55.30 that would encourage them, 00:08:55.33\00:08:56.67 that would let them feel that 00:08:56.70\00:08:58.03 this is a country that welcomed them. 00:08:58.07\00:08:59.80 Okay, so you fill that need 00:08:59.83\00:09:02.74 and then how does that translate 00:09:02.77\00:09:04.44 into sharing your gospel? 00:09:04.47\00:09:07.68 When I helped them with their needs, 00:09:07.71\00:09:10.25 you know, whether it'd be going to the doctor appointments, 00:09:10.28\00:09:12.95 whether it'd be going to help them get driver license. 00:09:12.98\00:09:16.72 By showing them Christ's love, and grace, and compassion, 00:09:16.75\00:09:20.06 and helping them with their 00:09:20.09\00:09:21.42 day-to-day challenges and needs, 00:09:21.46\00:09:23.59 we begin to bond together. 00:09:23.63\00:09:24.96 There's this deep level of friendship and trust 00:09:24.99\00:09:26.63 that they have, 00:09:26.66\00:09:28.00 and as a result they begin to ask me 00:09:28.03\00:09:30.07 who I am? 00:09:30.10\00:09:31.43 And what I believe? And why? 00:09:31.47\00:09:33.23 Is it that I am as a full time student 00:09:33.27\00:09:35.84 would be helping them. 00:09:35.87\00:09:37.21 Okay, so, Pastor Scott, you are the part of ASAP, 00:09:37.24\00:09:41.31 and what does that stand for? 00:09:41.34\00:09:42.84 ASAP ministry stands for 00:09:42.88\00:09:44.41 Advocates for Southeast Asians and the Persecuted, 00:09:44.45\00:09:47.45 and we are simply trying to encourage and support 00:09:47.48\00:09:50.85 work among Southeast Asians overseas 00:09:50.89\00:09:52.85 but also here and also for those 00:09:52.89\00:09:55.02 who have come from countries 00:09:55.06\00:09:56.39 where there is war or persecution. 00:09:56.42\00:09:57.89 So Pastor Sam is a part of your ministry. 00:09:57.93\00:10:00.63 Amen. Okay. 00:10:00.66\00:10:02.40 Now you shared 00:10:02.43\00:10:03.77 a very interesting testimony with me. 00:10:03.80\00:10:06.63 Yes. 00:10:06.67\00:10:08.00 And I would like you to share them with them. 00:10:08.04\00:10:11.97 At the end of my studies at the seminary, 00:10:12.01\00:10:14.24 I asked God to show me where He wants me to work. 00:10:14.28\00:10:17.05 And as I was fasting and praying on a Sunday, 00:10:17.08\00:10:20.48 God impressed upon me very strongly 00:10:20.52\00:10:21.95 that I need to work with the refugees 00:10:21.98\00:10:23.65 and I asked Him, "Lord, which refugees' group? 00:10:23.69\00:10:25.79 The one in Chicago, in Lansing, in Battle Creek, 00:10:25.82\00:10:27.82 in Grand Rapids, or in Indianapolis." 00:10:27.86\00:10:29.72 And God said, "Indianapolis." 00:10:29.76\00:10:31.13 So my next question is, 00:10:31.16\00:10:32.49 "Okay, I need to go and work in Indianapolis 00:10:32.53\00:10:33.86 but I don't have a car. 00:10:33.90\00:10:35.43 And I need gas money, and I need to rent an apartment 00:10:35.46\00:10:39.23 and I don't have money for apartment, there's no one. 00:10:39.27\00:10:41.40 No organization that would be supporting me 00:10:41.44\00:10:43.17 but how will I go and reach out to them?" 00:10:43.20\00:10:46.51 And as I was fasting and praying, 00:10:46.54\00:10:48.34 as the sun was setting down, 00:10:48.38\00:10:50.05 God impressed upon my heart and said, 00:10:50.08\00:10:51.75 "My son, how many years were you at the seminary?" 00:10:51.78\00:10:54.25 I said, "Four years." 00:10:54.28\00:10:55.72 "Do you owe any money? 00:10:55.75\00:10:57.29 A single cent to Andrews University 00:10:57.32\00:10:59.05 or any one organization?" 00:10:59.09\00:11:01.19 I said, "Lord, no one." 00:11:01.22\00:11:03.43 And the Lord impressed upon my heart and said, 00:11:03.46\00:11:05.26 "As I have taken care of your needs for four years 00:11:05.29\00:11:08.36 without anyone sponsoring you, I will take care of your needs. 00:11:08.40\00:11:11.90 Go to Indianapolis." 00:11:11.93\00:11:13.44 Okay, so now God did send you to Indianapolis 00:11:13.47\00:11:16.71 and you had amazing experiences there 00:11:16.74\00:11:20.18 and what is the result? 00:11:20.21\00:11:22.08 What was the end result? 00:11:22.11\00:11:23.45 I understand you planted a church. 00:11:23.48\00:11:25.41 Yes, the end result is that 00:11:25.45\00:11:27.42 at the beginning we started about 00:11:27.45\00:11:28.78 seven or eight people, 00:11:28.82\00:11:30.62 with that, with God's blessing 00:11:30.65\00:11:32.05 we have about 65 baptized members 00:11:32.09\00:11:34.66 in the church plant. 00:11:34.69\00:11:36.06 Amen. 00:11:36.09\00:11:37.56 Now ASI members, you can reach 00:11:37.59\00:11:40.83 the refugee community in your city, 00:11:40.86\00:11:43.77 and in your community and how do they do that, 00:11:43.80\00:11:46.13 Pastor Scott? 00:11:46.17\00:11:47.57 There are a whole lot of ways he shared with you, 00:11:47.60\00:11:49.60 many other ways that you can just care for people 00:11:49.64\00:11:51.67 as they first arrived 00:11:51.71\00:11:53.14 as they're trying to get used to the things here. 00:11:53.17\00:11:55.91 But to just summarize in the time we have, 00:11:55.94\00:11:58.38 I would encourage people to go to the website 00:11:58.41\00:12:00.68 reachtheworldnextdoor.com 00:12:00.72\00:12:02.82 or stop by and pick up a kit 00:12:02.85\00:12:04.19 that we have prepared at ASAP ministries booth there. 00:12:04.22\00:12:07.52 And what number is your booth? It's number 408. 00:12:07.56\00:12:10.43 Okay, 408. 00:12:10.46\00:12:12.23 You know, we're looking to go into mission field, 00:12:12.26\00:12:14.30 sometimes we can't go to lot of these countries 00:12:14.33\00:12:16.67 but you have these people right in your backyards 00:12:16.70\00:12:19.43 that you can work with. 00:12:19.47\00:12:20.84 So thank you so much. Thank you. 00:12:20.87\00:12:22.70 Okay, next we have our gentleman 00:12:22.74\00:12:25.61 that has a amazing ministry. 00:12:25.64\00:12:29.44 And his name is Shawn D'Abreu. 00:12:29.48\00:12:32.91 Now, Shawn, I met him last year, last year, 00:12:32.95\00:12:38.09 and as soon as I met him, 00:12:38.12\00:12:39.45 I knew he needed to be involved in the ASI officer core. 00:12:39.49\00:12:43.66 And so we twisted his arm and everything else 00:12:43.69\00:12:47.43 and he is our Mid-America ASI 00:12:47.46\00:12:50.97 Vice President for Membership and Recruitment. 00:12:51.00\00:12:53.54 So, now I would like you to share 00:12:53.57\00:12:56.27 just a very short testimony. 00:12:56.30\00:12:59.24 God has been so good to me. 00:12:59.27\00:13:01.74 My very short testimony in this context. 00:13:01.78\00:13:04.85 When I was 17 years old, 00:13:04.88\00:13:06.21 I suffered a spinal cord injury. 00:13:06.25\00:13:08.08 Seventh-day Adventist going to and not in our mission school. 00:13:08.12\00:13:11.95 And there was a school shooting where I was, 00:13:11.99\00:13:14.62 and I was paralyzed, 00:13:14.66\00:13:16.73 but God is so good as a Seventh-day Adventist. 00:13:16.76\00:13:20.63 And so I understood the great controversy. 00:13:20.66\00:13:23.43 I understood that God although He is ultimately in control, 00:13:23.47\00:13:27.64 He is loving and kind, 00:13:27.67\00:13:29.64 He protected me from further injury. 00:13:29.67\00:13:31.74 And He gives me opportunity to witness and to serve Him, 00:13:31.77\00:13:34.64 so that's a brief touch on my testimony. 00:13:34.68\00:13:36.78 So as a result of this shooting, 00:13:36.81\00:13:38.78 you became a paraplegic, 00:13:38.81\00:13:40.65 but you didn't let that slow you down. 00:13:40.68\00:13:42.88 No, God is too good for that, 00:13:42.92\00:13:45.25 and so He allow me to go on and graduate from high school, 00:13:45.29\00:13:48.79 graduate from college, go to graduate school 00:13:48.82\00:13:51.26 and then to begin a professional life from there. 00:13:51.29\00:13:53.80 Yes, and your profession is a lobbyist 00:13:53.83\00:13:56.87 and I've never actually met a real lobbyist before. 00:13:56.90\00:13:59.90 So tell us what you're lobbying for? 00:13:59.93\00:14:03.74 I've lobbied for a few different community groups, 00:14:03.77\00:14:09.04 and nonprofits, 00:14:09.08\00:14:11.01 and centering around the issues of health care, 00:14:11.05\00:14:13.85 community based services, civil liberties, 00:14:13.88\00:14:17.55 variety of different other subjects as well. 00:14:17.59\00:14:23.32 Okay, so in addition to your lobbying activity 00:14:23.36\00:14:26.13 as part of your living, 00:14:26.16\00:14:27.96 you have a ministry and what is that ministry? 00:14:28.00\00:14:31.00 It's the Midwest Center for Civil and Religious Liberty. 00:14:31.03\00:14:34.90 We are a nonprofit organization that's dedicated to protecting 00:14:34.94\00:14:40.68 and advancing the issues of religious liberty 00:14:40.71\00:14:43.45 and civil liberties within our society 00:14:43.48\00:14:46.35 at the local, and state level, and regional level. 00:14:46.38\00:14:49.25 So as part of your ministry, 00:14:49.28\00:14:51.29 you monitor legislative activities in some states, 00:14:51.32\00:14:56.29 Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas right now, right? 00:14:56.32\00:14:58.63 Yes. 00:14:58.66\00:15:00.00 But you would like to expand to where? 00:15:00.03\00:15:02.30 Other areas within the Mid-America Union, 00:15:02.33\00:15:04.30 and also the Midwest if possible. 00:15:04.33\00:15:07.07 We are headquartered in Missouri, 00:15:07.10\00:15:10.01 so that's where the majority 00:15:10.04\00:15:12.24 of our legislative advocacy takes place. 00:15:12.27\00:15:14.94 Okay, now you also train members and churches, 00:15:14.98\00:15:18.58 and how they can get involved and how do you do that? 00:15:18.61\00:15:21.68 That's really the thrust of our concern 00:15:21.72\00:15:24.69 because there's a lot of information out there 00:15:24.72\00:15:27.42 and, so we don't suffer from a lack of information. 00:15:27.46\00:15:31.89 But we do need to be able to follow 00:15:31.93\00:15:34.40 through on the knowledge that we've been blessed 00:15:34.43\00:15:36.30 for as Seventh-day Adventist, 00:15:36.33\00:15:38.00 and so our real burden is to help lay people 00:15:38.03\00:15:42.50 and others who may not be involved in religious liberty. 00:15:42.54\00:15:47.08 You know, there may be policy makers 00:15:47.11\00:15:49.04 or attorneys to get involved, 00:15:49.08\00:15:51.28 to understand what the issues are to be able to communicate 00:15:51.31\00:15:54.08 with legislatives and policy makers 00:15:54.12\00:15:56.22 and to form relationships really for the primary basis 00:15:56.25\00:16:00.26 of trying to help people to understand 00:16:00.29\00:16:02.09 the Three Angels' message but also to influence policy. 00:16:02.12\00:16:05.03 Right. 00:16:05.06\00:16:06.39 Now, we want to influence policy 00:16:06.43\00:16:07.76 because we know the great controversy, 00:16:07.80\00:16:09.26 and we know the Bible prophecy, 00:16:09.30\00:16:11.80 and we know what's coming down the road. 00:16:11.83\00:16:13.77 Yes. And so why do you do this work? 00:16:13.80\00:16:17.27 There is a moral purpose to prophecy, 00:16:17.31\00:16:20.11 and so it's not just for us to know what's going to happen. 00:16:20.14\00:16:23.78 I mean, just kind of sit back passively 00:16:23.81\00:16:25.61 and allow things to happen is for us 00:16:25.65\00:16:28.58 to be able to get involved as the Lord leads us, 00:16:28.62\00:16:31.99 to perhaps help to hold back the winds a little longer 00:16:32.02\00:16:34.89 so the gospel can be preached and lived in relative peace. 00:16:34.92\00:16:38.56 And so that's kind of our burden 00:16:38.59\00:16:40.53 at the local and state level 00:16:40.56\00:16:42.43 because many of the various things 00:16:42.46\00:16:44.23 that threaten us, 00:16:44.27\00:16:45.60 civil liberties or religious liberties. 00:16:45.63\00:16:47.30 They happen more at the state level 00:16:47.34\00:16:48.97 more than at the federal level. 00:16:49.00\00:16:51.01 At the federal level there is a lot of wheel lock 00:16:51.04\00:16:52.77 at this point of time as you all may be well aware. 00:16:52.81\00:16:55.84 So there are a lot of things that pass 00:16:55.88\00:16:57.51 through state legislatures 00:16:57.55\00:16:59.48 that, you know, they sound good 00:16:59.51\00:17:00.95 but, you know, they may not be very good. 00:17:00.98\00:17:03.22 There's a very good example 00:17:03.25\00:17:04.59 that you told me about that just passed through 00:17:04.62\00:17:07.09 or almost passed through the Missouri state legislature. 00:17:07.12\00:17:10.09 Can you share with us what that was? 00:17:10.13\00:17:11.46 Sure. 00:17:11.49\00:17:12.83 It was called Senate Joint Resolution 39 00:17:12.86\00:17:16.40 and it was an amendment to the Missouri Constitution, 00:17:16.43\00:17:20.14 which would have essentially established religion. 00:17:20.17\00:17:22.84 Now, it sounded good, it was marketed very well 00:17:22.87\00:17:26.78 in a manner that many conservative Christians 00:17:26.81\00:17:28.71 would have agree with. 00:17:28.74\00:17:30.25 Oftentimes we hear things like religious liberty, 00:17:30.28\00:17:33.15 we often times, 00:17:33.18\00:17:34.52 you know, say, yeah, I'm for that. 00:17:34.55\00:17:35.95 However, when you look at the proposal 00:17:35.98\00:17:37.95 and look at the bill itself, 00:17:37.99\00:17:39.72 it actually established 00:17:39.75\00:17:41.62 a particular religious point of view 00:17:41.66\00:17:43.76 within the Missouri Constitution. 00:17:43.79\00:17:45.89 Now whether or not we agree with a particular policy, 00:17:45.93\00:17:48.86 or particular piece of theology is really not the point. 00:17:48.90\00:17:52.97 The point is we really believe 00:17:53.00\00:17:54.34 in separation of church and state. 00:17:54.37\00:17:55.70 Amen. 00:17:55.74\00:17:57.07 And therefore we want to avoid the situation 00:17:57.11\00:18:00.04 where there is within constitutions, 00:18:00.08\00:18:02.28 within statutes 00:18:02.31\00:18:03.71 particular theological viewpoints 00:18:03.75\00:18:05.71 even if we agree with them 00:18:05.75\00:18:07.65 that would then be enforced by law 00:18:07.68\00:18:10.12 because even on this one hand is maybe something 00:18:10.15\00:18:12.69 that some people would agree with. 00:18:12.72\00:18:14.39 What happens next 00:18:14.42\00:18:15.76 when there's something that we don't agree 00:18:15.79\00:18:17.13 with whether it's a Sunday Law or some of the aspect 00:18:17.16\00:18:19.86 that would affect our religious liberty. 00:18:19.89\00:18:22.30 And so SJR 39 was, looked like it was a freight train, 00:18:22.33\00:18:26.20 it went straight through the senate, 00:18:26.23\00:18:28.27 it was like who's not going to be stopped 00:18:28.30\00:18:30.41 but God is good, we talk with legislators, 00:18:30.44\00:18:33.54 we did some public affairs work 00:18:33.58\00:18:36.14 we did some other things in coordination 00:18:36.18\00:18:38.41 with other partners 00:18:38.45\00:18:40.38 and it failed in committee by one vote. 00:18:40.42\00:18:43.82 Just one vote. 00:18:43.85\00:18:45.45 And so, the way this is applicable to you, 00:18:45.49\00:18:48.76 you may not live in Missouri, 00:18:48.79\00:18:50.49 but as I say proposals like this go 00:18:50.53\00:18:52.86 through state legislatures all the time 00:18:52.89\00:18:55.30 and so we have to be vigilant. 00:18:55.33\00:18:56.67 Yes. 00:18:56.70\00:18:58.03 Thank you so much 00:18:58.07\00:18:59.40 and, you know, we're going to be praying for you, 00:18:59.43\00:19:01.17 and I think this is something 00:19:01.20\00:19:02.54 that we all should be interested in. 00:19:02.57\00:19:04.47 So thank you so much for sharing. 00:19:04.51\00:19:07.08 Okay, next we have someone that many of you already know, 00:19:07.11\00:19:10.85 Moses Primo. 00:19:10.88\00:19:12.21 He is the... 00:19:12.25\00:19:16.18 Moses, where are you? 00:19:16.22\00:19:17.55 I'm director of broadcasting and engineering for 3ABN. 00:19:17.59\00:19:21.36 Yes, he is the director for broadcasting for 3ABN. 00:19:21.39\00:19:24.63 So we have... 00:19:24.66\00:19:27.83 How long have you been there? 00:19:27.86\00:19:29.66 Almost 25 years. 00:19:29.70\00:19:31.63 Twenty-five years, okay, 00:19:31.67\00:19:33.23 and so you're very involved with that and very busy, 00:19:33.27\00:19:38.54 but now you started another ministry? 00:19:38.57\00:19:40.68 Yes. 00:19:40.71\00:19:42.04 The Lord has impressed me that, 00:19:42.08\00:19:44.41 you know, I was really privileged to be 00:19:44.45\00:19:46.85 in the generation like this 00:19:46.88\00:19:48.98 that goes from a six to eight foot satellite dishes 00:19:49.02\00:19:53.99 to a small internet connection with set top boxes. 00:19:54.02\00:19:57.99 And I saw other companies like they're Roku, 00:19:58.03\00:20:02.76 and there are some other companies. 00:20:02.80\00:20:04.13 The Sky Angel. 00:20:04.17\00:20:05.50 The Sky Angel doing a lot of channels 00:20:05.53\00:20:08.44 that are not good for your family. 00:20:08.47\00:20:11.87 So the Lord impressed me to create something 00:20:11.91\00:20:14.44 that would be Seventh-day Adventist content. 00:20:14.48\00:20:17.75 Not only for the Seventh-day, 00:20:17.78\00:20:19.45 but the content would be only Seventh-day Adventist. 00:20:19.48\00:20:23.18 Okay, so because you weren't busy enough, 00:20:23.22\00:20:24.99 you decided to start another ministry. 00:20:25.02\00:20:27.69 Okay, and what's the name of that ministry? 00:20:27.72\00:20:30.96 It's mySDAtv. 00:20:30.99\00:20:33.46 The reason is I want everybody to have, 00:20:33.50\00:20:36.23 this is my SDA content. 00:20:36.26\00:20:39.40 Okay, so this network is strictly Adventist programming. 00:20:39.43\00:20:44.07 Yes, it is strictly Adventist programming 00:20:44.11\00:20:47.38 but not only for Adventists. 00:20:47.41\00:20:49.74 Right, and who provides this programming? 00:20:49.78\00:20:52.81 They are all the channels, 00:20:52.85\00:20:54.95 the Seventh-day Adventist channels like 3ABN, 00:20:54.98\00:20:57.62 and we have eight channels for 3ABN, 00:20:57.65\00:20:59.79 and they're all high definition in the box. 00:20:59.82\00:21:03.16 There is Amazing Discoveries, Amazing Facts, LLBN, 00:21:03.19\00:21:07.50 and one other factor 00:21:07.53\00:21:08.86 that I wanted to emphasize in this box is 00:21:08.90\00:21:11.53 we have a lot of different languages. 00:21:11.57\00:21:14.34 It is my goal to be a... the center of 00:21:14.37\00:21:18.37 all the Seventh-day Adventist portal 00:21:18.41\00:21:21.68 for many different languages 00:21:21.71\00:21:23.45 to be able to connected to that 00:21:23.48\00:21:25.41 and be blessed with the material that we have. 00:21:25.45\00:21:28.28 Amen. 00:21:28.32\00:21:29.65 Now this is your wife Adima, and she is on your staff? 00:21:29.68\00:21:33.96 Yes. 00:21:33.99\00:21:35.32 So this is your ministry but she does all the work. 00:21:35.36\00:21:38.89 Always. And what do you do? 00:21:38.93\00:21:41.40 I'm the treasurer, and I do the shipping, 00:21:41.43\00:21:44.60 and I help answer the phone. 00:21:44.63\00:21:46.74 Okay, very good. 00:21:46.77\00:21:48.10 Yeah, she prays with some people, 00:21:48.14\00:21:49.47 especially elderly people that call and tell 00:21:49.50\00:21:52.51 that their lives have been changed 00:21:52.54\00:21:54.98 and then there is a hope 00:21:55.01\00:21:56.34 because now they have the content available on the TV 00:21:56.38\00:21:59.88 with all the message that gives them a hope of living. 00:21:59.91\00:22:03.65 Now, how do you accept content from media, people, sources? 00:22:03.69\00:22:09.09 As long as with the 28 00:22:09.12\00:22:11.86 fundamental beliefs of this SDA church, 00:22:11.89\00:22:14.96 we just provided that ability, it's free for the networks, 00:22:15.00\00:22:21.07 all the channels and not only TV 00:22:21.10\00:22:22.70 but the radio also. 00:22:22.74\00:22:24.11 And we wanna invite, you know, all the ASI lay organizations 00:22:24.14\00:22:28.48 that have media content to be on the box. 00:22:28.51\00:22:32.11 We have three different boxes. 00:22:32.15\00:22:34.62 Okay, let's see that. We want to show them. 00:22:34.65\00:22:36.75 This is the smallest one. 00:22:36.79\00:22:39.25 I was telling you, 00:22:39.29\00:22:40.62 we went from a 10 foot satellite dishes 00:22:40.66\00:22:44.73 to smaller than the business card. 00:22:44.76\00:22:48.43 You just connect this little one into the internet 00:22:48.46\00:22:51.57 and you connect it to your TV set, 00:22:51.60\00:22:53.67 and you can get a high definition quality, 00:22:53.70\00:22:56.54 and not only that you put on your pocket, 00:22:56.57\00:22:58.74 you can travel with it or you can... 00:22:58.77\00:23:01.24 We have a lot of people that are using as a ministry tool, 00:23:01.28\00:23:05.61 and they buy in quantities to give out 00:23:05.65\00:23:08.68 and to ministry to other people. 00:23:08.72\00:23:10.62 Okay, so you have three different sizes 00:23:10.65\00:23:13.76 that people can use to play the content 00:23:13.79\00:23:17.66 for any kind of venues like public evangelistic meetings, 00:23:17.69\00:23:22.50 for home meetings, for all that. 00:23:22.53\00:23:24.47 And then you also have the part 00:23:24.50\00:23:26.40 where people can send in content? 00:23:26.43\00:23:29.40 Right, we have also one very important factor 00:23:29.44\00:23:32.64 that we made sure to have is the video on demand. 00:23:32.67\00:23:35.51 Today, nobody has time to watch 00:23:35.54\00:23:37.85 what they want at the time that the networks want, 00:23:37.88\00:23:41.08 so we keep in the memory of the box 00:23:41.12\00:23:44.39 30 days of 24 hours of programming. 00:23:44.42\00:23:47.26 So if you are coming to ASI, 00:23:47.29\00:23:49.22 you see something you like here, 00:23:49.26\00:23:50.59 you go back home, you can watch it again 00:23:50.63\00:23:52.89 or share with your friends or families. 00:23:52.93\00:23:56.33 The box has a USB on the back that you can put a USB stick 00:23:56.36\00:24:02.70 and you can download and share with the friends. 00:24:02.74\00:24:06.17 Okay. Now how do people send in their contents? 00:24:06.21\00:24:09.88 We received a URL from the ministries 00:24:09.91\00:24:14.18 and we just propagated that distribution through the box. 00:24:14.22\00:24:18.12 Okay, we just have a few seconds left. 00:24:18.15\00:24:19.79 Do you have a testimony 00:24:19.82\00:24:21.16 that you can share with us of somebody 00:24:21.19\00:24:23.09 that used the box and changed their lives? 00:24:23.12\00:24:25.73 Well, thank you for asking that 00:24:25.76\00:24:27.10 because we don't have a lot of time 00:24:27.13\00:24:28.46 and I was worried about it. 00:24:28.50\00:24:30.07 But I will make a quick testimony of one lady 00:24:30.10\00:24:34.24 that called us, actually Adima talked to her. 00:24:34.27\00:24:37.87 She purchased the box, and she was watching 00:24:37.91\00:24:41.48 because she was enjoying, she was Seventh-day Adventist, 00:24:41.51\00:24:44.68 but she was worried about her son, 00:24:44.71\00:24:46.82 her teenager son that was out of the church. 00:24:46.85\00:24:49.82 And every night she turned off the box and went to bed 00:24:49.85\00:24:53.56 and the next morning the box was on. 00:24:53.59\00:24:55.96 So she was wondering, 00:24:55.99\00:24:58.66 but one night that she got up 00:24:58.69\00:25:00.40 and she saw her son watching 3ABN 00:25:00.43\00:25:03.43 and they were watching Doug Batchelor. 00:25:03.47\00:25:05.57 After a series of weeks and days, 00:25:05.60\00:25:09.60 she came to talk to the son and the son said, 00:25:09.64\00:25:11.94 "Mom, I surrender my life to Jesus, 00:25:11.97\00:25:15.08 and I wanted to go to Andrews to do a theology program, 00:25:15.11\00:25:19.01 and I want to become a pastor." 00:25:19.05\00:25:21.08 Amen. So how can they contact you? 00:25:21.12\00:25:24.92 We're gonna put up the website, it's very easy. 00:25:24.95\00:25:27.46 It's mySDAtv.org, 00:25:27.49\00:25:31.19 and also we have in that website 00:25:31.23\00:25:34.56 we have the three models and how you can acquire. 00:25:34.60\00:25:37.83 There is a lot of instructions 00:25:37.87\00:25:39.20 that we're upgrading the website. 00:25:39.23\00:25:41.57 We wanted that website to be a portal 00:25:41.60\00:25:43.54 for all the media content that is Seventh-day Adventist. 00:25:43.57\00:25:47.38 Amen. 00:25:47.41\00:25:48.74 ASI, I hope that you've heard something tonight 00:25:48.78\00:25:50.45 that you can take home and get involved in 00:25:50.48\00:25:53.75 because that's why you're here, right? 00:25:53.78\00:25:56.08 Amen. So let's get to work. Thank you. 00:25:56.12\00:26:01.89 Good evening, ASI. 00:26:01.92\00:26:04.43 And we end our evening 00:26:04.46\00:26:05.86 with our exciting offering in action. 00:26:05.89\00:26:09.40 So I'm real happy to bring three projects to you tonight. 00:26:09.43\00:26:13.57 The first of which is GYC, 00:26:13.60\00:26:16.00 and standing with me is Moise Ratsara. 00:26:16.04\00:26:18.21 He's the president of GYC currently 00:26:18.24\00:26:20.58 and, Taylor Hinkle, who is the general vice president. 00:26:20.61\00:26:23.31 And, Moise, tell us what does GYC stand for, 00:26:23.35\00:26:25.78 and tell us a little about the organization? 00:26:25.81\00:26:28.38 Okay, very good question, Debbie. 00:26:28.42\00:26:30.52 So GYC stands for Generation Youth Christ. 00:26:30.55\00:26:34.86 And we're a moment that seeks to have Bible based revival 00:26:34.89\00:26:40.73 where every attendee is a missionary. 00:26:40.76\00:26:44.53 The one thing that we desire is 00:26:44.57\00:26:47.64 to finish the work in this generation. 00:26:47.67\00:26:49.54 That is our biggest desire 00:26:49.57\00:26:52.07 and that is what we seek to do by God's grace. 00:26:52.11\00:26:54.81 Now your target is young people. 00:26:54.84\00:26:57.38 So what ages are we talking about when we talk young folk? 00:26:57.41\00:27:00.38 Okay, we talk from the age of about 17 to 35. 00:27:00.42\00:27:04.79 So millennials and the new generation 00:27:04.82\00:27:07.19 that is rising up, 00:27:07.22\00:27:08.56 we don't have a name for them yet, 00:27:08.59\00:27:09.99 but millennials and the new generation. 00:27:10.03\00:27:13.66 Now the project that we're looking at 00:27:13.70\00:27:15.26 for the offering this year 00:27:15.30\00:27:17.40 has to do with what's coming up. 00:27:17.43\00:27:19.27 One of the events that you typically plan every year. 00:27:19.30\00:27:22.27 Tell us a little bit about the focus of that project? 00:27:22.30\00:27:24.74 Okay, so in December 28, in Houston, Texas, 00:27:24.77\00:27:29.11 so this year we're planning to pass out 00:27:29.14\00:27:32.05 about a million glow tracks throughout the city of Houston. 00:27:32.08\00:27:36.12 We're also planning to generate Bible studies last year 00:27:36.15\00:27:39.65 when were in Beeville, 00:27:39.69\00:27:41.12 we had about 2000 plus Bible study interests 00:27:41.16\00:27:44.76 through our Friday outreach. 00:27:44.79\00:27:46.16 So we're trying to saturate the town of Houston 00:27:46.19\00:27:49.46 with the gospel and to prepare them 00:27:49.50\00:27:51.60 for what's about to happen. 00:27:51.63\00:27:53.23 And this is a typical methodology 00:27:53.27\00:27:56.40 if you will that GYC follows when you have your convention, 00:27:56.44\00:27:59.77 it's not coming and sitting, it's coming and working. 00:27:59.81\00:28:03.38 Yes, we believe in service. 00:28:03.41\00:28:05.78 We believe in service 00:28:05.81\00:28:07.15 and doing something about the gospel. 00:28:07.18\00:28:10.49 And so, now that we understand, 00:28:10.52\00:28:13.99 we're reminded what GYC is all about. 00:28:14.02\00:28:16.32 I'm interested to know 00:28:16.36\00:28:17.69 what some of the challenges are 00:28:17.73\00:28:19.06 that you might face as leadership, 00:28:19.09\00:28:22.00 leaders in this organization 00:28:22.03\00:28:23.70 to engage young people in this kind of activity. 00:28:23.73\00:28:27.70 Does everybody come with a burning desire and fire 00:28:27.74\00:28:31.27 to serve Jesus? 00:28:31.31\00:28:32.64 I'll let my good friend Taylor talk about that. 00:28:32.67\00:28:35.18 Well, I can definitely say not everyone comes 00:28:35.21\00:28:37.41 with a great burning desire to share Jesus. 00:28:37.45\00:28:40.12 I remember the first time I went to GYC, it was in 2007, 00:28:40.15\00:28:43.89 and I walked into GYC 00:28:43.92\00:28:45.39 and thought everyone else is a little bit odd 00:28:45.42\00:28:47.26 because of their zeal to share the gospel. 00:28:47.29\00:28:49.56 And I remember I was raised in Adventist home, 00:28:49.59\00:28:51.09 gone through Adventist education, 00:28:51.13\00:28:52.46 and all these things. 00:28:52.49\00:28:53.83 But these people were so excited about 00:28:53.86\00:28:55.20 what they believed 00:28:55.23\00:28:56.56 and it seemed a little bit weird to me, 00:28:56.60\00:28:57.93 but I remember going home and thinking, 00:28:57.97\00:28:59.30 "Man, they had something that 00:28:59.33\00:29:00.67 they were actually living for and they had a purpose." 00:29:00.70\00:29:03.07 And at that time I realized all my friends 00:29:03.10\00:29:04.91 were leaving the church 00:29:04.94\00:29:06.27 and most of them except for three 00:29:06.31\00:29:07.64 are either dead, in prison, or still on drugs. 00:29:07.68\00:29:10.68 And I wondered what is it 00:29:10.71\00:29:12.05 that's gonna give me a burden for the church, 00:29:12.08\00:29:13.42 and I realized that it's understanding 00:29:13.45\00:29:14.88 the true Seventh-day Adventist message 00:29:14.92\00:29:16.45 and what the Bible really teaches. 00:29:16.48\00:29:18.25 So I remember going back in 2008, 00:29:18.29\00:29:20.39 going to GYC still not fully on board 00:29:20.42\00:29:22.62 with what they were talking about. 00:29:22.66\00:29:24.26 But I was excited about what I was hearing. 00:29:24.29\00:29:25.99 You know, for the very first time 00:29:26.03\00:29:27.36 I heard preachers 00:29:27.40\00:29:28.73 who were really calling us to a higher standard. 00:29:28.76\00:29:30.13 Sure, we heard that in our churches, 00:29:30.17\00:29:31.50 and we heard that in the academy, 00:29:31.53\00:29:32.87 and all these different things. 00:29:32.90\00:29:34.24 But here it was a high pressure time, 00:29:34.27\00:29:35.94 all these young people of my age around 00:29:35.97\00:29:37.97 there wanting to do the same thing, 00:29:38.01\00:29:40.11 and for the first time I didn't feel like 00:29:40.14\00:29:41.48 I was out of place for wanting to serve the Lord, 00:29:41.51\00:29:44.45 but I felt like I was out of place 00:29:44.48\00:29:45.81 not wanting to do God's will. 00:29:45.85\00:29:47.35 And so at those appeals, I remember going forward 00:29:47.38\00:29:49.78 and surrendering my life to Jesus Christ 00:29:49.82\00:29:51.55 and making a decided effort 00:29:51.59\00:29:53.49 that I was going to serve the Lord. 00:29:53.52\00:29:54.92 And I think it's because of GYC's call 00:29:54.96\00:29:57.26 and appeal to fully surrender the lives, 00:29:57.29\00:29:59.73 radical submission, 00:29:59.76\00:30:01.10 being embracing the Seventh-day Adventist message, 00:30:01.13\00:30:03.53 supporting the church in their work. 00:30:03.57\00:30:05.20 It helped me to realize that the church 00:30:05.23\00:30:06.57 is not something I wanted to leave 00:30:06.60\00:30:07.94 but really to be engaged in. 00:30:07.97\00:30:09.60 So and that's the culture 00:30:09.64\00:30:11.04 that you're trying to change this idea 00:30:11.07\00:30:13.48 that where you were coming from 00:30:13.51\00:30:15.44 to where you were wanting to go to, 00:30:15.48\00:30:17.11 and not even realizing that's where you wanted to go, 00:30:17.15\00:30:19.51 but witnessing that all around, 00:30:19.55\00:30:20.88 you're trying to change a culture 00:30:20.92\00:30:22.58 that you've experienced? 00:30:22.62\00:30:24.02 Amen. 00:30:24.05\00:30:25.39 Yeah, we're tired of just being consumers. 00:30:25.42\00:30:28.26 And by God's grace we want to see producers. 00:30:28.29\00:30:30.63 We want to be part of heralding in 00:30:30.66\00:30:32.73 and ushering the coming of Jesus 00:30:32.76\00:30:34.10 instead of sit back and watching everyone else 00:30:34.13\00:30:36.26 and just being spectators. 00:30:36.30\00:30:37.87 But now it's what can we do to see 00:30:37.90\00:30:39.47 Jesus come back in our generation. 00:30:39.50\00:30:41.30 I think it's possible for Jesus to come back very soon. 00:30:41.34\00:30:44.87 I think it's possible for the gospel 00:30:44.91\00:30:46.27 to go to the whole world. 00:30:46.31\00:30:47.64 But it's going to come with the radical desire 00:30:47.68\00:30:49.74 to do whatever it takes for it to happen. 00:30:49.78\00:30:51.55 Amen. 00:30:51.58\00:30:52.91 Thank you very much, Moise and Taylor, 00:30:52.95\00:30:54.52 for sharing with us. 00:30:54.55\00:30:57.42 Isn't that wonderful to have our young people 00:30:57.45\00:30:59.12 so on fire for the Lord. 00:30:59.15\00:31:00.96 We need to hold up their hands 00:31:00.99\00:31:02.36 through our gifts and offerings. 00:31:02.39\00:31:04.49 Coming to the podium now is Jeremiah Weeks, 00:31:04.53\00:31:07.30 he is the director of Share Him and Luis Leonor, 00:31:07.33\00:31:12.03 good long term friend of mine 00:31:12.07\00:31:13.97 and who is the trip manager for Share Him. 00:31:14.00\00:31:16.37 Jeremiah, I want you to share with us. 00:31:16.40\00:31:19.11 When I think about Share Him, 00:31:19.14\00:31:20.58 I know that it was the brainchild 00:31:20.61\00:31:22.54 of Elder Robert Folkenberg Sr. 00:31:22.58\00:31:25.21 And remind us of the mission 00:31:25.25\00:31:26.82 that he so passionately believed in 00:31:26.85\00:31:29.22 through this ministry. 00:31:29.25\00:31:30.59 Yeah. That's right, Debbie. 00:31:30.62\00:31:31.95 Some of you may remember last year in fact 00:31:31.99\00:31:33.72 when we had Bob up on the big screen. 00:31:33.76\00:31:36.02 And he was able to be with us. 00:31:36.06\00:31:38.43 As most of you probably know, 00:31:38.46\00:31:39.83 we were very sad to lose Bob to the sleep of death 00:31:39.86\00:31:43.77 here in December. 00:31:43.80\00:31:45.33 But we are seeking to move forward in our mission, 00:31:45.37\00:31:48.84 our focus is the same 00:31:48.87\00:31:50.21 as what was Bob's desire and passion. 00:31:50.24\00:31:52.81 And that is to encourage everybody, members, pastors, 00:31:52.84\00:31:56.75 young people, old people 00:31:56.78\00:31:58.81 to be more involved each and every day 00:31:58.85\00:32:00.88 in sharing the hope they have in Jesus Christ. 00:32:00.92\00:32:04.02 That's what we're about. 00:32:04.05\00:32:05.59 So we have those pictures that are kind of showing 00:32:05.62\00:32:08.06 a little about the young people 00:32:08.09\00:32:09.66 that are involved with Share Him. 00:32:09.69\00:32:11.89 Right, and there are few things that we do providing materials, 00:32:11.93\00:32:15.86 resources, mentoring. 00:32:15.90\00:32:17.33 But one of the things we do is Share Him trips. 00:32:17.37\00:32:19.70 These aren't so much mission trips. 00:32:19.73\00:32:21.40 The places we go are being very gracious 00:32:21.44\00:32:24.77 to allow us to come. 00:32:24.81\00:32:26.78 What we do is we bring lay people, 00:32:26.81\00:32:28.71 often young people teens, 00:32:28.74\00:32:30.45 young adults to be involved as evangelistic speakers 00:32:30.48\00:32:34.52 for a 9-day or 16-day evangelistic series. 00:32:34.55\00:32:38.15 And as those young people study the message, 00:32:38.19\00:32:41.62 prepare and present, visit, 00:32:41.66\00:32:46.39 not only is there an impact in the place where they go, 00:32:46.43\00:32:49.30 but there's certainly an impact on them. 00:32:49.33\00:32:53.13 And we've seen it time and time again by God's grace. 00:32:53.17\00:32:56.47 So, Luis, as the trip manager, 00:32:56.50\00:32:58.41 I know that recently you organized 00:32:58.44\00:33:01.38 and helped to manage the trip 00:33:01.41\00:33:03.04 for young people from New York State 00:33:03.08\00:33:05.81 and from North Carolina from the States 00:33:05.85\00:33:08.68 and it's previously been a lot of young people 00:33:08.72\00:33:10.75 maybe from other countries. 00:33:10.79\00:33:12.45 Tell us what kind of impact 00:33:12.49\00:33:14.39 those trips had on those young people? 00:33:14.42\00:33:16.09 Yes. 00:33:16.12\00:33:17.46 Well, seeing all Share Him trips, 00:33:17.49\00:33:21.63 we have seen lives transformed and both on the host country 00:33:21.66\00:33:28.10 and also on the group of teenagers 00:33:28.14\00:33:31.74 that were visiting and preaching in that place. 00:33:31.77\00:33:36.75 Today, since 2000 years, 00:33:36.78\00:33:39.71 we have already trained about 13,000 people 00:33:39.75\00:33:45.69 that have been traveling in Share Him trips. 00:33:45.72\00:33:51.76 There are thousands of stories that can be, you know, 00:33:51.79\00:33:58.40 it's amazing to see of the lives 00:33:58.43\00:34:01.40 that has been transformed. 00:34:01.44\00:34:04.67 And let me share with you the story of Emily. 00:34:04.71\00:34:10.95 Emily went with us from New York 00:34:10.98\00:34:14.98 to preach in Philippines. 00:34:15.02\00:34:18.15 On the day before the campaign start, 00:34:18.19\00:34:24.13 we appealed to what we call the orientation day. 00:34:24.16\00:34:27.30 We appeal to the students to preach with enthusiasm, 00:34:27.33\00:34:31.50 not just to go and read the sermon. 00:34:31.53\00:34:34.30 And we told them to preach with enthusiasm. 00:34:34.34\00:34:39.37 You have first to be in good connection 00:34:39.41\00:34:42.21 with the Lord. 00:34:42.24\00:34:43.81 Second, you have to understand what you are preaching. 00:34:43.85\00:34:47.98 And third, you have to believe what you're preaching. 00:34:48.02\00:34:52.52 So they started, Emily preached her 19 sermons, 00:34:52.55\00:34:58.83 doctrinal sermons. 00:34:58.86\00:35:00.76 At the end of the campaign, Emily asked to be baptized. 00:35:00.80\00:35:05.23 Amen. 00:35:05.27\00:35:06.60 For my surprise I said, Emily, 00:35:06.63\00:35:08.07 I thought you were a church member. 00:35:08.10\00:35:10.07 And she said, well, pastor, I come from an Adventist family 00:35:10.11\00:35:14.61 but I never accepted to be baptized 00:35:14.64\00:35:17.85 because I did not believe in the Spirit of Prophecy. 00:35:17.88\00:35:21.65 But now like I preach it, 00:35:21.68\00:35:23.82 I understood it and now I believe it, 00:35:23.85\00:35:26.72 I'm ready to be baptized. 00:35:26.76\00:35:28.82 And she was baptized on that Sabbath 00:35:28.86\00:35:31.73 with 150 more people. 00:35:31.76\00:35:33.70 Amen. Very good. Very good. 00:35:33.73\00:35:36.10 Jeremiah, just finish off for us 00:35:36.13\00:35:38.17 and tell us what is the plan 00:35:38.20\00:35:39.53 with regard to this project for this year. 00:35:39.57\00:35:42.40 What your plans are for Share Him? 00:35:42.44\00:35:44.27 Well, we are just very thankful to ASI members and friends 00:35:44.31\00:35:48.38 for your ongoing prayers and support. 00:35:48.41\00:35:50.71 We are planning for 2017, our largest young adult project 00:35:50.75\00:35:55.75 so far. 00:35:55.78\00:35:57.12 We are particularly focusing on Atlantic Canada and Quebec 00:35:57.15\00:36:00.59 as well as the Atlantic Union and involving young people 00:36:00.62\00:36:02.46 from those areas 00:36:02.49\00:36:03.83 but also from the rest of North America. 00:36:03.86\00:36:06.23 And we're working on that now. 00:36:06.26\00:36:09.23 And just again thankful that you all help make it possible. 00:36:09.26\00:36:12.77 Thank you very much 00:36:12.80\00:36:14.14 for what you're doing for our young people to expose them, 00:36:14.17\00:36:16.14 and give them an experience of sharing Christ 00:36:16.17\00:36:18.57 that is really needed for this time. 00:36:18.61\00:36:20.18 Thank you. 00:40:22.88\00:40:26.29 Okay, as we do that, there's a picture 00:40:26.32\00:40:27.82 that we want to show you of our campus coming up 00:40:27.86\00:40:30.53 and where that is situated. 00:40:30.56\00:40:33.80 Since the closure of a hospital, 00:40:33.83\00:40:36.06 we've felt the need to try and meet people where they are 00:40:36.10\00:40:39.40 instead of trying to bring them on to our campus. 00:40:39.43\00:40:41.67 We have a church 00:40:41.70\00:40:43.04 right at the entrance of our campus 00:40:43.07\00:40:46.14 and for some people it's a little prohibitive, 00:40:46.17\00:40:48.34 it closes them off 00:40:48.38\00:40:49.71 where they wonder what's behind the church. 00:40:49.74\00:40:51.55 And so, we want to try and put them right on, 00:40:51.58\00:40:55.85 put ourselves where they are and draw them in. 00:40:55.88\00:40:59.09 And it started with a project that was student led. 00:40:59.12\00:41:04.66 Out of our ministry management course, 00:41:04.69\00:41:07.10 it was one of their project called Health Made Simple. 00:41:07.13\00:41:10.57 And that started growing 00:41:10.60\00:41:14.27 and we encouraged people to come on to our campus, 00:41:14.30\00:41:18.47 gain membership into this Health Made Simple organization 00:41:18.51\00:41:22.54 where we provided discount at our stores. 00:41:22.58\00:41:25.61 And then also gave them benefits, 00:41:25.65\00:41:29.95 spa treatments, massage, etcetera. 00:41:29.98\00:41:32.59 And that will be based in this community center. 00:41:32.62\00:41:36.59 Currently we have over a 160 members 00:41:36.62\00:41:39.79 in this Health Made Simple project. 00:41:39.83\00:41:43.50 And we continue to run cooking schools 00:41:43.53\00:41:47.14 that is actually drawing 30 people into our student cafe 00:41:47.17\00:41:53.04 for our cooking school once a month. 00:41:53.07\00:41:55.31 And we've also spawned 00:41:55.34\00:41:57.28 small group cooking schools that have, 00:41:57.31\00:42:01.15 meet every two weeks now 00:42:01.18\00:42:02.88 and are continuing to grow in that way. 00:42:02.92\00:42:07.36 So we're hoping that this center 00:42:07.39\00:42:09.49 is going to really meet people where they are, 00:42:09.52\00:42:12.39 have seminars there, 00:42:12.43\00:42:14.03 also have other meetings and events, 00:42:14.06\00:42:17.20 medical seminar, natural remedies, 00:42:17.23\00:42:20.04 and so it will be a blessing to the community at large. 00:42:20.07\00:42:23.10 So tell me, I'm curious, 00:42:23.14\00:42:24.47 how many ministries have been spawned 00:42:24.51\00:42:26.94 from the Wildwood experience in training? 00:42:26.98\00:42:30.28 Well, it's... 00:42:30.31\00:42:31.95 We can probably trace at least 50 00:42:31.98\00:42:35.22 from people that have been trained at Wildwood, 00:42:35.25\00:42:38.72 gone out, and Wildwood also actually being involved 00:42:38.75\00:42:41.79 in starting some of those ministries. 00:42:41.82\00:42:43.29 Amen. 00:42:43.32\00:42:44.66 And this year is our 75th anniversary 00:42:44.69\00:42:46.70 that we are celebrating 00:42:46.73\00:42:48.83 and I'm sure many will be joining us 00:42:48.86\00:42:52.20 and we invite everyone to... 00:42:52.23\00:42:54.34 can make it to come and join us this next weekend. 00:42:54.37\00:42:57.84 Next Sabbath, hope everybody can come, yeah. 00:42:57.87\00:42:59.21 Next Sabbath?
