00:01 We're really happy to invite you to this special music program
00:06 on the second coming of Jesus Christ. 00:09 What a wonderful time to be alive, isn't it? 00:11 It really is. The closing moments of earth's history. 00:13 A generation that will be able to see Jesus come back 00:16 in the clouds of glory. When you just think about it, Danny, 00:19 and some of the words of some of the songs that 00:20 they're going to be singing... we're all going to be singing 00:22 today, it's so exciting to think that this is really 00:27 going to happen. Absolutely. We've read about it. 00:30 But Jesus said it's going to happen - yes - so I believe it 00:33 if He said it, don't you? If He says it, 00:35 ya'll believe it? I know we've got a choir here 00:37 that believe what the Lord said is going to happen, right? 00:40 It's the truth because He's the Way, the Truth, and the Life. 00:43 He said: "If it were not so, I would have told you. " 00:46 So we believe with all of our hearts that Jesus Christ is 00:50 coming again. And we've been preaching this and singing this 00:54 especially the last year or so. 00:56 And this is part of the project on the second coming 00:59 and I am for one really being blessed by this music. 01:04 It gives us great privilege to introduce 01:07 some of the special guests that we have with us today. 01:09 I think I'll start at the piano over here 01:11 we have Bro. Lari Goss. Lari, give a little wave out here 01:15 to our audience. And for those of you that don't know Lari 01:19 you might want to look him up on the Internet 01:21 because if we gave all of his accolades - 01:23 all he's done - we'd be here all day, wouldn't we? 01:25 That's right. But Lari is a legendary composer/arranger. 01:29 A wonderful guy... loves Jesus. 01:31 His wife Carolyn is out here in the audience also. 01:33 We're glad that she's here. And Lari, thank you so much 01:36 what you have done orchestrating all of this. 01:39 Literally: the choir, the music, the orchestra. Every part of it. 01:43 And for actually helping to write some of these songs. 01:46 And we'll talk about those as we go. But thank you 01:49 so much. Thank you. God bless you. What a privilege 01:51 it is to have you here. Well, Danny, another one of the 01:53 writers for this music is Danny Shelton. 01:56 And you have written some songs that you have told me 02:01 that you felt God just really gave them to you. 02:04 And when you are in that writing experience and all of a sudden 02:10 those words come how does it feel? 02:13 Well, it's really... Sometimes it's very emotional. 02:16 One of the songs we'll do here in just a little bit 02:19 Just In Time... when I wrote it it's the first time I've ever 02:22 written a song that I started crying as I was 02:24 writing it because I knew it wasn't from me. 02:27 Right. I knew it was from the Lord. 02:28 We were asking for music that would bring honor and glory 02:31 to Him and proclaim His second coming 02:33 to a lost and dying world. 02:35 And so I'm thankful for that. 02:37 But you know, God gets the credit of course. 02:39 We say God gets the credit for all the good things; 02:41 we just take the credit for the bad things. 02:43 So what you hear you don't like I'll take the blame for that. 02:46 But also Yvonne Lewis helped with some and Lari Goss 02:50 wrote some. And we'll talk about them a little bit 02:52 before each song. OK. But we're thankful that we have 02:56 this music and we have these folk from Nashville. 02:59 Reggie Smith: stand up please. 03:01 Reggie. All of you - our viewers - know Reggie Smith 03:04 and Reggie's know around the world for his music. 03:07 Incredible job that he does. I want you to introduce... 03:10 you brought some of the folks who actually sang on this 03:13 in the studio. And we want you to introduce them 03:16 and tell a little bit about each one. 03:17 I would be blessed to. Danny, we're just honored 03:21 to have these guys here. They've sung on so many records 03:23 and CDs there in Nashville. And they're just so excited 03:26 to be here live to do this DVD with all of us and 03:29 with all of our 3ABN family. 03:31 On my far left here... Rod, you've got to stand up 03:34 and I have to stand on my tiptoes. This guy's pretty tall. 03:36 So, this is Rod Fletcher Danny and Jim. 03:39 Rod is a dear friend. We go back a long time 03:42 singing together actually at Disney. A long time. 03:44 We're just not going to talk about the years. But Rod, 03:46 first of all, is a father and a husband. All right. 03:49 And secondly he's an incredible incredible singer. 03:52 Bass singer. Bass/baritone. 03:55 And he sings at the Grand Ole Opry 03:56 so if you ever go to the Grand Ole Opry you'll see Rod 03:58 singing with all the artists that come through. 04:00 Rod Fletcher is here, and we're just honored to have Rod. 04:03 Thanks, Rod. All right. 04:04 Next to Rod we have Marty Funderburk. 04:07 He's a fellow Mississippian like Ladye and myself. 04:11 Marty is a phenomenal artist himself 04:14 but I tell you what: the Lord has gifted him with song 04:17 and he writes some of the most beautiful beautiful songs. 04:20 I know, Yvonne, you've recorded some of his songs 04:22 too. And then Marty and I have written a few things together. 04:25 I am in the room as he's writing. 04:28 So that's the way it rolls. But Marty is a dear, dear friend 04:30 and a great singer, and we are just honored to have Marty 04:33 Funderburk. Marty wrote a song that you guys do 04:35 on your DVD here. Absolutely. Somewhere Between Heaven... 04:38 Somewhere Between Heaven and Earth. And we wrote 04:40 Hold On together also. All right. And a song Yvonne sings 04:43 Wonders Never Cease. Oh, for many years. I mean that's... 04:45 Somewhere Between Heaven and Earth. I cry when I hear it 04:47 every time they sing it. I guess I'm gettin' old 04:50 or more emotional, but I'm telling you 04:51 when you think about that: suspended somewhere. 04:55 And you say: "Wow! This is incredible! " 04:57 Marty, thank you so much for what you do for the cause 05:00 of God. Thank you Marty. And right next to me this is 05:03 Tammy Jensen. And first of all Tammy is a mother of three. 05:06 All right. Mother of three and a wonderful wife. 05:09 At least that's the way I hear it. OK. OK. 05:13 And you know what? Tammy is an amazing singer, 05:15 an amazing person. She's a whole person. 05:18 You know, she's whole and she loves the Lord. 05:20 All of these people love the Lord with all their heart, 05:22 soul, and mind. Great families. 05:25 You know what? She's just a great singer. And as I tell 05:27 a lot of people she can flat out hold the alto section down 05:30 by herself. So Tammy is an amazing person. 05:33 I know Melody has made fast friends with her. 05:35 They stand by each other in the sessions and stuff. 05:37 So we're just very honored to have Tammy with us 05:40 in all the sessions too. 05:41 Melody has told me "this woman has the most wonderful 05:45 voice. You would not believe how good she is. " 05:47 Amazing. She's amazing. And we've heard you. So thank you 05:49 so much for sharing your talent with us 05:51 here in southern Illinois. 05:54 And next to her, of course, everybody knows this woman. 05:56 I know you know Melody. 05:58 Melody Dawn. And first of all, I've got to tell you 06:00 ladies and those of you who don't know it but Melody is 06:02 a mother of eight. "Eight is enough" she said. 06:06 No, so... But we just go: "We're not worthy; 06:09 we're not worthy. " But she's so calm with her children 06:11 and she's just so fantastic. 06:14 And she said: "Yeah, I'm just holding it inside. You have 06:16 no idea what's inside... you have no idea. " But Melody... 06:19 Melody has that smooth, wonderful Karen Carpenter voice 06:22 that we all love here. And when she sings we just go: 06:25 "Oh... that's it, that's it. " 06:27 And Melody has joined us on the sessions in Nashville. 06:29 Right. We're so honored to have her. 06:30 She can flat out sing that alto, man! 06:33 That low alto. Does a great job. 06:35 We're so glad to be singing with you, Melody. 06:38 And you know this lady right here. She's directing the choir. 06:41 E.T. here. This is our director and producer right here. 06:44 E.T. We couldn't get you to turn around? 06:45 Oh, there she is. There you go... just for a second. 06:49 There you go. All right. And E.T. actually 06:51 worked a great deal on this project also 06:54 with you, Danny, and Lari. 06:56 And just an amazing pianist and she's just our producer, man. 06:59 At least that's what we feel like. Yes. So she's an amazing 07:02 talent. E.T. Everett. All right. And over here next to her 07:05 this is Ladye Love Long Smith... a woman with many names. 07:08 Stand up, baby. But this is my wife - 07:12 and so many of you know her - of 19 years - all right - 07:15 and counting... or nine years... nineteen. 07:18 So you know her. That's Layde Love. And so 07:21 we're just glad... I'm really always happy to have her. 07:24 Amazing singer and amazing person. 07:26 Great person. So right next to her: Bonnie. 07:28 This is our tall girl. I have to stand on my tiptoes for her. 07:31 Bonnie's a dear, dear friend from way back. 07:33 Bonnie sang with a group called First Call - yes - 07:37 that backed up everybody. 07:39 You know... and you're still singing together. 07:42 But you do a lot of solo work, too. 07:44 A lot of solo work also. So she does with the trio 07:47 and also... And then sings on a ton of sessions. 07:50 Pretty much anything you've heard in the last 35 years 07:53 Bonnie's singing on it. She was two! Yeah, that's right. 07:56 She was two years old. You were four when... two. 07:59 But Bonnie's a dear friend. Loves the Lord. 08:02 Mother of two. And just beautiful, talented children. 08:06 And she's a beautiful person inside and out. 08:08 And we're so honored to have Bonnie with us. Absolutely! 08:11 So thank you, Bonnie. Thanks for coming back. 08:13 Right next to her this is Ms. Julie Goss. 08:16 As a matter of fact, this is Lari's daughter-in-law. 08:21 All right. Married to B.J. Goss. 08:23 And Julie... Yeah, she said: "I stole him; 08:25 I stole him. " And she did. I heard a great. great story, 08:29 their romantic love story last night of how they met. 08:31 And it was a really great one. I love it! 08:33 This thing is going to take for a lifetime, you guys. 08:35 It's very special. Julie actually sings a lot of 08:38 sessions and just wonderful. These people have so much heart 08:42 and they love the Lord with truly all their heart, 08:44 mind, and soul. They really do. 08:47 And as you know you've met these people. 08:49 These people are the real deal. 08:51 These are all family. And you know what? 08:53 She sings out with Beth Moore, a wonderful artist and 08:56 wonderful writer, and they do a lot of women's conferences 08:59 all over the world and around the world. 09:01 And also Tammy does that, too. She goes out and sings with 09:03 Beth Moore. All right. And this is Julie Goss 09:07 and we're so honored to have her here. Thank you Julie. Yeah. 09:10 And everybody knows this lady right here: Ms. Yvonne Lewis. 09:13 Holy moly... I'm telling you. 09:15 This girl, I'm telling you, has done it. 09:18 She is the voice that all people have heard. That's true! 09:21 And maybe they didn't know it but they've heard her - 09:23 somewhere down the line they've heard her sing - somewhere down 09:25 the line. So many recordings. We gave her a new nickname 09:27 since iPhone 6 came out. What is it now? 09:29 You know she's singing on it. We're just calling her "6" 09:31 for short. Oh, she's singing on a new commercial coming out! 09:33 She's singing on the Verizon commercial 09:35 so ya'll will hear her when you hear the... 09:37 What does she say, Reggie? Just... "Just the two of us! 09:41 That's it! We can... " You're gonna hear that. 09:43 Right there; right there. I already heard it. 09:45 All right. We're so glad Yvonne's here. 09:47 Of course she's our general manager of Dare to Dream. 09:50 Yeah. By the way, she sang that a few years back. 09:53 It wasn't just this week. 09:55 Oh absolutely. But all of a sudden the company comes along 09:58 and says: "That fits our product between the two companies. " 10:03 Verizon and is it Apple? Yeah, Apple I think. 10:06 Yeah, absolutely. So that will be interesting to... Yes. 10:10 Also we've got our choir. Raise your hand, choir. 10:12 This is our 3ABN choir. 10:14 Glad that you all are here. 10:16 These folks are singers; they love Jesus. 10:18 And we're so thankful that they're all here, too. 10:21 Well Jim, I think we need to get to singing. 10:23 Why don't we sing? And we'll get our choir 10:25 some of you comin' up here. 10:26 Let's sing Jesus Is Coming Again. 13:47 Praise the Lord! Jesus is coming again! 13:51 Wow! That just sounds... You all sound so beautiful 13:53 and you even look good! How about that! 13:56 The next song that we're going to do is I've asked Ladye Love 13:59 to do it. It's a song that I started writing 14:02 just maybe a couple months or so ago. 14:04 And it says Calvary says love to me. 14:07 And I wrote this song and I showed it to Lari 14:10 and I said: "We're looking for new songs but I really... 14:13 Calvary is a wonderful - you know - message 14:16 but all of these songs are second coming. " 14:18 So guess what Lari Goss said? 14:20 "Well let me see it just a little bit and I'll just 14:22 add you a little bridge and we'll put it in there. " 14:25 And thank you so much, Lari, for your help 14:28 and support on this song. 14:30 But I just got to thinking one evening: "You know, 14:32 how wonderful our God is. He looked down in compassion - 14:36 when He looks at us here on earth - it's in compassion. 14:39 If it wasn't, He'd get rid of all of us, wouldn't He? 14:41 There's wouldn't be any hope for us, but our God looks down 14:44 in compassion and love. So He knew rather than to 14:47 do away with us that He would come up with a plan... 14:49 and that plan was called Calvary. 14:52 So Ladye Love, please sing to us 14:54 Calvary Says Love To Me. 19:31 Amen! Beautiful, Ladye. 19:33 While you're up here I'm going to ask your husband 19:34 Reggie to come up. And you guys are going to do 19:37 a song. This is one of the probably most beautiful songs 19:41 ever written. And I know you know who wrote this song: 19:43 We Shall Behold Him. 19:45 And when we think about it that day that we're literally 19:51 able to... It says... The song tells it all. 19:53 But those in the ground sleeping are going to be caught up 19:56 to be together with the Lord in the air. 19:58 And all of those of us here to see all of that 20:02 it's such an exciting... It's so exciting 20:05 you can hardly put it into words. 20:07 But Dottie Rambo... didn't she write this song? 20:09 SHE put it into words! 20:11 So when I hear this I get these little chill bumps 20:13 and goose bumps. Some of you know what I'm talking about 20:15 over there. You get them from time to time 20:17 and especially when I hear you guys sing this song. 20:20 So: "We Shall Behold Him. " 26:01 And everybody said: "Amen! " Praise the Lord! 26:05 Thank you Reggie; thank you Ladye. 26:07 What an incredible song! 26:09 We hope that you're singing with us at home 26:12 because this is an incredible project. 26:14 And we should be reminded... In fact, Ellen White makes 26:17 a statement: we should spend, she says, sometimes an hour 26:20 a day contemplating the goodness of God. 26:22 And one of those things is: how could a God 26:25 that's so good love us who are so bad? 26:29 Right? We were born into a sinful world but praise God 26:32 because of His love for us He made a way of escape 26:35 for us. And some day very soon 26:38 we shall behold Him face to face. 26:41 I'm going to ask my daughter Melody to come up. 26:43 And two or three months ago I was thinking 26:47 of songs for this project 26:50 and I thought about it from Mary's perspective. 26:53 Because you read and it says: "And early in the morning 26:56 that she went to the tomb" after Christ was crucified. 27:00 And it hit me: you know, she was possibly the same Mary. 27:04 I know there's some theological differences. 27:07 Some people say it was the same Mary; some not. 27:10 But this same Mary, I believe, once before, 27:14 Melody, had anointed the Savior. 27:17 But this time no wonder she couldn't sleep. 27:19 All through the night her heart was breaking. 27:21 She could only weep. So she got up early in the morning 27:24 to go anoint the Lord. Because it occurred to me 27:27 Mary had depended on Jesus. 27:29 Jesus had brought her to truth. 27:31 But now her whole world had ended 27:34 because her Lord was dead. 27:37 So she went to the tomb out of love 27:40 to prepare His body. But before she got there 27:45 guess what happened? She meets this angel 27:48 and he says: "Why are you here? 27:50 He's alive! He's risen! Forever He's alive! " 27:54 So we put this song together. 27:55 Did the words and music. Went down to Mr. Lari Goss 27:58 and I said: "Lari, we need some help on the verse. " 28:01 And within a matter... this guy's amazing, Melody. Right? 28:04 In a matter of minutes he straightened out the music 28:07 for us. And praise the Lord for Lari! 28:09 And this song: Forever, He's Alive. 30:01 Mary believed Jesus was the Son of God 30:04 but now He was dead. 30:06 She'd never see Him again. 30:08 It was love that carried her on through the darkness 30:12 that Sunday morning to prepare His body for the grave. 30:15 But as she neared the tomb 30:17 an angel suddenly appeared and said: 30:19 "Why seek ye the living among the dead? 30:21 Your Lord has risen; He's alive! 30:24 Forever, He's alive! " 32:34 Whoo! Praise the Lord! 32:36 Praise the Lord! Thank you Melody. 32:39 I'm starting to feel that anointing of the Holy Spirit. 32:41 I like it, Yvonne. How about you? 32:43 Amen! Praise the Lord! God is so good 32:46 that He gives us these songs because we now can give honor 32:50 and glory and praise to Him. 32:52 And sometimes... And I want to talk to you at home for just 32:55 a minute... Sometimes on this earth it seems like 32:57 we're forgotten. Probably everybody who's ever lived 33:01 at some point you say: "Lord, what about me? 33:04 Where are You when I needed You? " 33:07 And sometimes you just feel left alone and you feel like 33:10 there's no way out. But I want to tell you something: 33:13 God knew you before Creation. 33:17 He knew us before we were ever born. 33:19 He had a plan. When Jesus was hanging on the cross 33:21 you and I were on His mind. Amen! 33:24 He could look down the stream of time 33:25 and see a people who would be willing to give their lives 33:28 unto death if necessary for the cause of God. 33:31 And one evening I was sitting at home and I said: "Lord, 33:35 I'm working on these songs. Give me a song that 33:38 will be powerful... not for me but for Your glory 33:41 and for Your honor. And all of a sudden this song 33:44 came to me: Just In Time. Yes! And it's so beautiful 33:47 because it says the devil will tempt us, the devil will say 33:50 "Where is your God? " In fact, one verse says 33:53 "Where is your God? the demons cried. 33:55 This whole thing's not true; it's all been a lie. 33:59 And then a voice from heaven is heard. 34:03 It came from God... the Living Word. 34:05 And just in time the Savior came. " 34:08 In your life today, we don't have to wait till the 34:10 second coming. In your life today Jesus will be there. 34:14 God will be there just in time. 34:16 And that's what we love about Him. He's not a God that's 34:18 late and He's not a God that's early. 34:20 He's always just in time. Amen! 34:22 So we've asked Yvonne Lewis to come and sing Just In Time. 34:26 Then in the middle of it I turned to Great Controversy. 34:29 It's a book by Ellen White. Her description of seeing Jesus, 34:33 what it will be like - Amen! - in starting small as a cloud 34:36 of... small as a man's hand... What it must be like 34:39 when Jesus comes back. So we've added that into the song 34:43 and it comes from Great Controversy. 34:45 Ellen White. Yvonne, sing for us. 37:12 Soon there appears in the East a small black cloud 37:16 half the size of a man's hand. 37:19 It is the cloud which surrounds the Savior 37:22 and which seems in the distance to be shrouded in darkness. 37:26 The people of God know this to be the sign of the Son of Man. 37:30 In solemn silence they gaze upon it 37:34 as it draws nearer the earth 37:36 becoming lighter and more glorious until it is a great 37:39 white cloud, its face a glory like consuming fire 37:44 and above it the rainbow of the covenant. 37:47 Jesus rides forth as a mighty conqueror 37:50 not now a man of sorrows to drink the bitter cup 37:54 of shame and woe, He comes victor in heaven and earth 37:57 to judge the living and the dead. 38:00 With anthems of celestial melody 38:03 the holy angels, a vast unnumbered throng, 38:06 attend Him on His way. 38:08 The firmament seems filled with radiant forms: 38:12 "ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands. " 38:17 No human pen can portray the scene. 38:20 No mortal mind is adequate to conceive its splendor. 38:24 His glory covers the heavens 38:27 and the earth was full of His praise. 38:30 And His brightness was like the light. 38:32 As the living cloud comes still nearer 38:35 every eye beholds the Prince of life. 38:38 No crown of thorns now mars that sacred head 38:42 but a diadem of glory rests on His holy brow. 38:46 His countenance outshines the dazzling brightness of 38:50 the noonday sun and on His robe and on His thigh 38:54 a name written: King of kings and Lord of all! 40:22 Praise the Lord! Thank you Jesus! 40:25 Thank you, Yvonne. A lot of these folk up here 40:27 are song writers. Marty, how you must feel 40:29 when you write a song like Somewhere Between Heaven 40:31 and Earth! You actually can say: "What a beautiful song! " 40:34 'cause you know you didn't write it, right? 40:36 Wonders Never Cease Yvonne sings. It's one of my 40:39 favorite ones. To know that God would reach down 40:42 and allow frail human agents to be used of Him 40:45 is amazing to me because none of us are worthy of it. 40:49 None of us are worth it. The Bible says we're all as 40:51 filthy rags in the sight of God. 40:53 But because of His love He wants to work through you. 40:56 In you and through you. So no matter who you are, 40:58 no matter what your past is, 41:00 God is willing to forgive it and He has a plan for your life 41:03 and that's to be a witness. Maybe you can't be a song writer 41:06 or a singer but you've got a testimony. 41:09 The most important asset you have is your testimony. 41:12 It's not the thing that people look at, the world looks at, 41:16 it's your own personal testimony of what God has done for you 41:19 in your life. Sometimes when I look around 41:22 things aren't pretty on this earth 41:24 and I get to daydreaming a little bit. I'm a daydreamer. 41:26 I don't know about some of you, but I daydream sometimes. 41:29 Got in trouble in school I'm sure a few times 41:31 and with my folks. Back then they tanned your hide 41:34 a little bit. Now you're not supposed to talk about that. 41:36 But anyway sometimes I'm a daydreamer. 41:39 One night I was sitting by myself. Had my little guitar 41:42 and this thought came to me: I'm longing for a place 41:46 I've never been, yet it's a place I call home. 41:49 And I said: "That makes no sense! " 41:51 In the physical that makes no sense. 41:53 How can you long for a place you've never been 41:56 and still call it home? 41:58 This little song came to me. Thank you, Lord! 42:00 Heaven Means Home To Me. 46:20 Next I'm going to ask Reggie and Ladye 46:23 and Yvonne to come and sing a song 46:27 that we wrote called The Sacrifice. 46:29 And thank you Lari Goss again for bailing me out. 46:33 It's always good to have a friend who knows more, Rod, 46:35 about music than you do. 46:37 And Lari's one of those... so we wrote this song. 46:40 And the words came to me but I said: "On the chorus... " 46:44 I said, "the verse needs to be something really powerful. " 46:48 So who should I go to, Marty, but Lari Goss? 46:51 So Lari in a matter of minutes once again sits down 46:54 and he looks at the words. He reads them 46:56 and you can just see this anointing coming over him. 46:58 He just begins to play, and this song is called 47:02 The Sacrifice. 51:07 Amen! Thank you Jesus! 51:10 Aren't you glad that He became our sacrifice? 51:13 Absolutely! What we'd like to do now 51:16 we're going to go back to an old song that many of you knew. 51:19 In fact... My brother Kenny's back here... Our dad used to... 51:22 It was one of his favorite all-time songs. 51:25 I'm going to ask our pastor: Pastor John Lomacang 51:28 to come out. And John's not only a great preacher 51:32 and a great friend and a wonderful Christian. 51:35 He and his wife Angie have been such a blessing 51:37 to the ministry of 3ABN... to this church in particular. 51:40 He's the pastor of this church. 51:43 But John has a long history in music. 51:45 His dad was a professional musician in New York 51:47 for many years, but John has sung all around the world 51:50 literally. Sang with The Heritage Singers for years 51:53 but has done solo work and sung with others. Literally 51:56 you travel around the world. Recently you guys have been 51:58 in the islands. You've been in Africa. 52:01 Almost any country we name you've been there. 52:03 So we're so blessed to have you here, John. 52:06 And you wanted to sing this song - Until Then - 52:09 because it has a special meaning to you. 52:11 Well, you know Danny, before I even mentioned 52:13 the special place it had in my heart for... I want to say this 52:16 but I don't want to sound old... for more than 40 years. 52:19 I heard this song when I was just coming back to the church 52:22 out of the gambling, the pool hustling, the night life. 52:25 And I need to say this publicly: "I heard 52:28 a gentleman singing this song, Duane Hamilton. " 52:31 OK. And this was one of the first songs I had heard 52:34 coming back into the church. 52:35 And I always listen to the theme of it 52:37 and I said: "You know, Lord, I'm going to keep serving You 52:40 until then. I'm going to keep trusting You until then. " 52:42 And so when you asked me out of the clear blue one day: 52:45 "John, I want you to sing this song. " I said: "Danny, 52:47 that fulfills a desire I've had for more than 40 years. " 52:50 Praise the Lord! So it's an honor. 58:32 Amen! Praise the Lord! 58:35 You brought me to tears on that, John. 58:38 Brought me to tears. I tell you: what a wonderful day. 58:42 Think about Until Then, but I talked to Lari and I said: 58:45 "Lari, can we come up with a medley maybe of songs? 58:48 Something that? We want you to put it together. " 58:50 He said: "What do you want? " I said: "You put something 58:52 together. " And I'm going to ask Jim Gilley to come up and help 58:55 lead this. But it starts off with the song... And those 58:58 of you at home and you're watching this, we want you 59:00 to sing along with us 'cause you'll recognize these songs. 59:04 They're beautiful, beautiful songs. But we're going to start 59:07 out: It Will Be Worth It All. 01:03:34 Whoo! Glory! Praise the Lord! 01:03:37 We're havin' church up here; hope you are at home 01:03:39 too... those of you watching around the world. 01:03:41 We're having church. We're starting to really 01:03:43 get into this thing, you know? 01:03:45 Thinking about all of these wonderful things. 01:03:48 Thank you, Lari Goss, for arranging that. Picking out 01:03:51 those songs. Reggie, how about if we do something different? 01:03:54 We're going to bring you over here in just a moment. 01:03:56 We've been having all of this great orchestra behind us 01:04:00 but we're going to give you something better: 01:04:02 we're going to give you the maestro himself right here: 01:04:04 Bro. Lari Goss. So you guys... would you do 01:04:07 Amazing Grace - OK. All right. And Bro. Lari, 01:04:12 you haven't had a chance to talk yet. 01:04:14 I haven't given you that chance, but you were here before 01:04:17 at Camp Meeting, and you told us a little bit. 01:04:20 We were talking about what a blessing this has been. 01:04:22 But you said the project on the second coming 01:04:25 has blessed you. You know, even from the very beginning 01:04:29 when we first started on the project in the first series 01:04:32 the Lord really touched me about all of this 01:04:35 and I just considered it a great honor to be a part of it. 01:04:39 And it really, really did something to my life 01:04:42 and it touched a place in my heart - 01:04:44 praise the Lord! - that's never been touched before 01:04:46 at a place that I don't think time will ever erase. 01:04:50 It gave me a greater insight 01:04:52 to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. 01:04:55 And I cannot thank 3ABN and you and Bro. Gilley 01:05:00 and E.T. and everybody for allowing me to be a part 01:05:04 of this project. I thank you so much 01:05:06 for what it's done for me. 01:05:08 It's not what I've done for you 01:05:10 but it's what the Lord has done for me 01:05:12 through you allowing me to be a great part of this project. 01:05:16 Thank you so much. Well, that's what you call a win-win 01:05:18 for everybody. Win-win. We all enjoyed it. 01:05:21 We've all been blessed by it. Hopefully the viewers at home. 01:05:25 I don't know if there was ever a greater song ever written 01:05:27 on this earth than the one you're about to sing. 01:05:31 Amazing grace, how sweet the sound 01:05:33 that saved a wretch like me. 01:09:05 Amen! 01:09:11 Thank you, Reggie. 01:09:13 I think, Reggie, I'm just turning into an old cry baby. 01:09:16 I'm having to sit here and wipe tears from my eyes, 01:09:18 folks. When we think about it when we've been there 01:09:21 ten thousand years bright shining as the sun 01:09:24 we've no less days to sing God's praise 01:09:27 than when we first begun. 01:09:29 I heard a preacher one time, and he said: 01:09:32 "How long is forever? " Somebody asked him: "How long 01:09:35 is forever? " And this preacher said: "Well, 01:09:38 I don't know. We don't know for sure, but 01:09:41 in human terms I'll just do the best I can 01:09:44 to give you a little example of how long eternity is. " 01:09:47 "Well, OK... what is that preacher? " 01:09:50 And he says: "Well, let's say that God sent a bird: 01:09:54 a raven, a bird, a dove down from heaven. 01:09:57 We're all in heaven... He's come back. 01:09:59 All of His children are home so heaven's finally home. 01:10:04 And once every million years a bird comes to planet earth. 01:10:08 He flies down. Doesn't have to be in fast time, 01:10:11 can be real time. 01:10:12 Take his time all through the universe to planet earth. 01:10:17 He picks up one grain of sand 01:10:19 and he flies back to heaven. 01:10:24 When every grain of sand on planet earth 01:10:28 is gone we've just begun. 01:10:32 Whoo! Somebody better say amen to this. 01:10:35 I'm going to check your pulse and see if you're still alive 01:10:38 if you're not on this. Amazing grace. 01:10:40 Do that last verse for us one more time, Reggie. 01:10:43 When we've been there ten thousand years... 01:10:48 When we've been there 01:10:52 ten thousand years 01:10:57 bright shining as 01:11:01 the sun 01:11:06 we've no less days 01:11:12 to sing God's praise 01:11:18 than when we first 01:11:24 begun... 01:11:31 than when 01:11:34 we first 01:11:39 be- 01:11:44 we first begun. 01:11:50 Thank you, Lord. 01:11:55 Gotta love it! When we first begun. 01:11:58 Thank you Reggie... Amazing grace. Lari Goss. 01:12:01 Absolutely incredible. We have one last song. 01:12:05 And this song is so much fun to sing 01:12:09 and I just praise the Lord. It's called: "Hallelujah! 01:12:12 Home At Last! " Well, all of the songs that we've been singing 01:12:16 thus far we've been looking from an earthly perspective. 01:12:20 Yvonne, we're standing here looking up 01:12:22 waiting for Jesus to come back. 01:12:24 But this song... one night it hit me... 01:12:26 Lari, it hit me: how about something's gotta happen 01:12:30 in heaven. There's got to be some kind of excitement 01:12:32 in heaven that's going to happen when Jesus comes 01:12:36 down. We're all excited; we're looking up... but 01:12:39 what happens? And all of a sudden it came to me: 01:12:41 there's excitement in heaven like there's never been before. 01:12:45 Jesus stands up. Heaven is changed forevermore. 01:12:49 Think about that: heaven is changed forevermore. 01:12:53 The angels escort the Savior literally to come down... 01:12:57 surround the Savior to come down to earth 01:13:00 to collect what's rightfully His. 01:13:02 Right? That's you and me. Hopefully, folks, 01:13:06 every one of you watching this program. 01:13:09 There's some great singers, great musicians, 01:13:11 but really, compared to heaven, 01:13:14 we'll all be... We couldn't make D or F choir, right? 01:13:18 Thankfully, God's going to change us all! 01:13:20 We'll know what music really is when we get to heaven. 01:13:23 So it's not about the singers; it's not about the musicians. 01:13:27 And I know you hear that but we MEAN IT. 01:13:29 What it's about is Jesus 01:13:31 and it's about catching a vision of who He is 01:13:33 and who we are. And I'm so grateful 01:13:36 and so thankful that God cares enough for us 01:13:40 that when He comes down and we go back up 01:13:43 the second verse of this song hit me. 01:13:45 Think about this: no more empty mansions. 01:13:48 When we make it home with Jesus 01:13:50 no more empty mansions. No vacant seats around the throne. 01:13:54 Right now there's gotta be some vacant seats. 01:13:56 We're not there. Is somebody with me? 01:13:59 No more vacant seats around the throne. 01:14:02 Heaven is finally heaven 01:14:04 when God's children are all home. 01:14:08 Hallelujah! Home At Last. What happens is 01:14:11 I talked to Yvonne one more about 9 o'clock 01:14:14 just two or three months ago. 01:14:16 She says: "Last night the Lord gave me a chorus. 01:14:19 It's just sticking in my head. 01:14:21 It says Hallelujah! Home At Last. " 01:14:23 But she said: "I don't have any verses 01:14:26 and I don't consider myself a prolific writer" 01:14:29 she says. "I don't have any verses 01:14:31 but I've written this chorus. " 01:14:33 And I said: "Really? That's interesting. 01:14:35 Last night I wrote two verses 01:14:37 but I didn't have a chorus. " 01:14:39 And she said: "Yeah, Hallelujah! Home At Last. " 01:14:41 I said: "Wait a minute. My second verse 01:14:43 actually has those words 'Home at last... 01:14:46 Hallelujah! Home At Last. ' " 01:14:47 We put our notes together 01:14:49 and I actually took out one of my lines 'cause it was 01:14:52 exactly like one of the lines the Lord had given her. 01:14:55 And I said: "Man, I didn't write a chorus because 01:14:59 this verse is so powerful I don't know... How would you 01:15:04 build up to a chorus? " 01:15:05 Choruses usually, Reggie, we build up to, right? 01:15:08 So when I heard it I went to my buddy Lari Goss. 01:15:12 I said: "Lari, Yvonne's written this great chorus 01:15:14 and God has given me some words, but 01:15:17 I need help musically. What can you do? " 01:15:19 You know what I'm going to say. 01:15:21 About 3-5 minutes Lari Goss puts together 01:15:25 what you're about to hear right now. 01:15:27 Praise God! Hallelujah! Home At Last! 01:15:30 Reggie and Ladye. 01:18:51 Praise the Lord! Amen! 01:18:54 Thank you Reggie; thank you Ladye. 01:18:56 Thank you choir for coming here. All the folks from Nashville 01:19:00 for coming up and joining us. 01:19:01 Ya'll can be seated for just a moment. 01:19:03 And Jim, we're here at the close. We only have just a 01:19:07 3 or 4 minutes left and I want you to just... There's people 01:19:10 around the world there are people that are hurting 01:19:12 and there are people saying: "You know what? Maybe 01:19:15 I have not been focused on where I should be focused: 01:19:18 that Jesus is coming, that He cares for me. 01:19:20 He died for me; made a plan of salvation. " 01:19:22 Maybe you could in the time that we've got left 01:19:24 just give an appeal and take us out in a prayer. 01:19:28 You know, Danny, it is so 01:19:31 encouraging to know that Jesus Christ IS coming again. 01:19:37 Amen! John 14:1-3 He said: "Let not your hearts be 01:19:41 troubled. " We live in a world of a lot of trouble. 01:19:45 He said: "You believe in God; believe also in Me. 01:19:50 In My Father's house are many mansions. 01:19:55 If it were not so, " He said, 01:19:58 "I would have told you. " 01:20:01 And there's so many things that you hear people say to you 01:20:06 today. Jesus says: "If it were not so 01:20:11 I would have told you. " 01:20:13 People tell you that God didn't create this earth 01:20:16 but Jesus said He did. 01:20:19 And if God did not create this earth in six literal days 01:20:24 just as He says He did 01:20:28 then He says: "I would have told you. " 01:20:32 "I would have told you. " 01:20:33 "I go to prepare a place for you 01:20:38 and if I go, " He said, "to prepare a place for you 01:20:42 I will come again 01:20:47 and receive you unto Myself 01:20:53 that where I am 01:20:55 there you may be also. " 01:20:59 You know, He's going to wipe away all tears. 01:21:02 We think about tears being wiped away 01:21:05 here on this earth, but my friend, 01:21:07 He's going to wipe away the tears of the universe. 01:21:10 He's going to wipe away the tears of heaven 01:21:13 because this whole sin problem started there. 01:21:16 It didn't start here. 01:21:18 Heaven will not really be heaven until we're home at last. 01:21:25 Until He has wiped away all sin, all sorrow, 01:21:32 and restored once again 01:21:36 life the way He intended it to be. 01:21:41 The Bible tells us that sin will never rise again. 01:21:46 It will never rise again because we have seen 01:21:49 the results of sin. 01:21:51 We see the sorrow that it brings to us. 01:21:54 We see what it does in our hearts and our lives, 01:21:58 to our families, to our friends. 01:21:59 We see what alcohol and drugs and all of the different 01:22:03 debilitating things can do. 01:22:05 We see what selfishness does 01:22:11 and we see what love did on the cross. 01:22:17 "I am crucified with Christ 01:22:19 nevertheless I live. Yet not I 01:22:26 but Christ lives in me. 01:22:30 And the life which I now live in the flesh 01:22:33 I live not in my own strength. 01:22:36 I live by the faith of the Son of God 01:22:41 who loved me and gave Himself for me. " 01:22:49 Oh my friend, I walked life's path with an easy tread. 01:22:53 I wondered where pleasures and riches led 01:22:56 until one day in a quiet place 01:22:59 I met the Master face to face. 01:23:04 I met Him and knew Him and blushed to see 01:23:07 that His eyes full of mercy were fixed upon me. 01:23:10 And then I turned my eyes upon Jesus, 01:23:14 looked full in His wonderful face, 01:23:21 and the things of earth 01:23:24 grew strangely dim 01:23:27 in the light of His glory 01:23:32 and His grace. 01:23:35 Hallelujah! Home At Last! |
