00:31 Hello and welcome once again to 3ABN Camp Meeting.
00:34 This is 2013.
00:37 And we've been having a wonderful time, and this is
00:40 actually the last sermon for the whole week.
00:43 What are you all thinking? It's good and bad, right?
00:46 We're kind of tired but wow! We just keep being fed
00:48 all the time so we keep coming back to the till
00:51 and getting filled up.
00:53 And praise the Lord for the folk that... The music we've
00:56 been having, for Bro. Dwight, Steven Bohr.
00:59 In just a little bit Pastor John Lomacang
01:02 will be here and we praise the Lord for him.
01:05 And I just want to thank you again, all of you,
01:08 for your love and your prayers and financial support of 3ABN
01:12 as we continue to take this gospel of the kingdom
01:15 into all the world. E. T. Everett was down... David
01:19 and E. T. went down to the funeral of Ladye Love Smith...
01:22 her father passed away and she texted me just a little bit
01:25 ago and said: "Thank the Lord for great technology.
01:29 I'm in the car on my iPad
01:31 watching 3ABN Spring Camp Meeting. Isn't that amazing? "
01:34 So if you're in certain areas where they have the Internet
01:37 you can be driving down the road. Eventually
01:39 that'll be happening with broadband all across the nation.
01:43 So praise the Lord for technology
01:45 in the time that we have to continue to be a part
01:49 of the Lord's work. So what we're going to do now:
01:52 we're going to ask Sr. Yvonne Lewis to come out.
01:55 For those of you that don't know Yvonne
01:56 she's the manager of Dare to Dream Network
01:59 and you hopefully heard her testimony today
02:02 that God has brought her from the world of music.
02:05 Raised a Seventh-day Adventist Christian.
02:07 Left the church for a number of years.
02:09 Sang with Whitney Houston, Roberta Flack, Luther Vandross.
02:13 She was a jingle singer that did a lot of commercials
02:16 you've heard on the radio.
02:17 Pepsi and Diet Coke, Pizza Hut, Meow Meow Cat Chow...
02:22 you name it, she's done it all.
02:24 Folger's Coffee... and did a lot of those things.
02:28 But sang in the world and then a number of years ago
02:31 somehow she walked into C.A. Murray's church
02:34 or met C.A. Murray. Through that relationship
02:37 she gave her heart to the Lord, was baptized,
02:40 and has been living for Jesus ever since.
02:42 And we feel blessed that you are here
02:44 and you have taken this position of Dare to Dream Manager.
02:48 And we appreciate your music.
02:50 What are you singing for us tonight?
02:52 Just Once More. Right after Dr. Yvonne Lewis
02:55 sings the next voice you will hear is our own pastor.
03:00 And I don't want to say this with any kind of pride
03:02 but with love: our own pastor John Lomacang.
03:27 Here I am again.
03:31 I'm on my knees again.
03:37 But these are different tears
03:40 from a brand new set of scars.
03:44 Now they may look the same
03:48 but these are not the same.
03:53 These are dirty tears
03:56 so I can't see where You are.
04:01 But I pray You'll understand
04:04 and I pray You'll take my hand
04:09 and I pray there's still a place
04:12 in the shelter of Your grace.
04:16 I know I don't deserve another chance...
04:23 But I'm sorry.
04:26 I blew it.
04:28 I failed You once again.
04:32 All the things I said I was
04:36 I haven't been.
04:38 And I know that
04:42 You've heard this
04:44 a million times before...
04:49 but I need You to forgive me
04:54 just once more.
04:56 Oh, I need You to forgive me.
05:03 Now I made promises,
05:07 lots of promises
05:12 tied with ropes of sand
05:16 for they never last for long.
05:19 And I'm ashamed to ask
05:23 but I've just gotta ask:
05:27 "Oh Lord, may I start again?
05:32 Will You carry me back home?
05:36 Will You look beyond the sin
05:39 to the helpless fool within?
05:44 Can You take what I've abused
05:47 and make from it a vessel You can use?
05:52 I admit I don't deserve
05:55 another chance. "
05:59 Oh, but I'm sorry.
06:02 I blew it.
06:04 I failed You once again.
06:08 All the things I said I was
06:11 I haven't been.
06:15 And I know that
06:18 You've heard this
06:21 a million times before
06:26 but I need you to forgive me
06:30 just once more.
06:33 Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo
06:38 Can You look beyond the sin
06:41 to this helpless fool within?
06:46 Can You take what I've abused
06:49 and make from it a vessel You can use?
06:54 I agree I don't deserve
06:57 another chance.
07:01 Oh, but I'm sorry.
07:04 I blew it.
07:06 I failed You once again.
07:10 All the things I said I was
07:13 I haven't been.
07:17 And I know that
07:20 You've heard this
07:23 a million times before
07:29 but I need You to forgive me
07:32 just once more.
07:34 I said I need You to forgive me
07:40 just once more.
07:43 Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo...
07:48 Lord, I need You to forgive me
07:55 just once
07:58 more.
08:06 Ooo-ooo
08:10 ooo.
08:19 Amen!
08:25 Isn't that a wonderful song? Amen!
08:28 Rather than just being a wonderful song
08:30 I hope you heard the message:
08:32 forgive me just once more.
08:35 Thank you, Yvonne. We're kind of like brother and sister.
08:40 My wife and Yvonne are really very fond of each other.
08:44 We go back a ways. Her father was my principal.
08:47 He whipped me a few times when I was a young man.
08:51 And one day I saw him when we visited with him
08:54 years later, and he said: "Lomacang,
08:56 I own some of that success. "
09:00 But it's so good to know that whenever God calls
09:03 on His people like He has called on Yvonne
09:06 and as He's calling on every one of us
09:09 one day
09:12 the final invitation to accept Jesus
09:16 will be extended.
09:18 One day the final baptism will have been performed.
09:24 One day the doors of the ark of safety are going to be closed.
09:29 So God has given us this time that we now have
09:32 for Him to forgive us just once more.
09:35 Thank you again, Yvonne, for that song.
09:38 The message tonight is entitled Get Ready.
09:41 I'd like you to say that with me.
09:42 Get Ready. Get Ready.
09:46 Let us pray.
09:49 Heavenly Father, this opportunity has been given
09:51 by You for Your glory.
09:56 Send Your Holy Spirit now to speak through me.
10:00 In Jesus' name, Amen.
10:05 Revelation 19 verse 7 is where we find
10:09 our text of consideration tonight. Revelation 19:7.
10:14 The Bible says: "Let us be glad and rejoice
10:19 and give Him glory for the marriage of the Lamb has come
10:23 and His wife has made herself ready. "
10:29 One of the blessings of being the last speaker
10:32 is that people remember you for what you said
10:36 but one of the challenges is you get the least amount of time
10:39 to preach. And so since I'm from New York
10:44 I want you to listen like a New Yorker
10:47 'cause I'm going to preach like a New Yorker.
10:50 That means if you miss anything I've said
10:52 get the DVD and slow it down.
10:56 You know, the word "get ready" is hardly
11:00 words that could be qualified as a sentence.
11:03 Yet those words have been used time and time again
11:08 in response to one scenario or another.
11:11 When I was growing up in New York City we used to go
11:13 to Camp Meeting at Victory Lake Camp Meeting
11:15 upstate New York in Poughkeepsie, New York,
11:17 I remember on Sabbath morning my mother would come to our
11:20 bed and say: "Wake up and get ready. "
11:25 And we knew exactly what she meant
11:28 because following "get ready" she would say: "If you're not
11:31 ready I'm leaving. "
11:33 And we looked forward to Camp Meeting.
11:35 But there's something else that we need to look forward to
11:38 more than Camp Meeting, and that is the coming of the Lord.
11:40 What do you say? Amen!
11:43 "Get ready" are also valuable words.
11:45 One would hardly think that these two words could make
11:49 such an impact as Michael Buffer thought they could.
11:54 He included these two words - "get ready" - at the heart
11:57 of his announcement: "Let's get ready to... "
12:00 And you've heard that phrase before.
12:02 And to this day he has grossed more than
12:06 four hundred million dollars just saying "Get ready. "
12:11 An amazing accomplishment.
12:16 When storms are coming meteorologists tell us
12:19 how to get ready.
12:21 When Christmas is coming advertisers remind us
12:25 to get ready.
12:27 And if you've come from the world that I used to live in -
12:30 I was a disc jockey in New York City,
12:31 I had all kinds of records -
12:33 if you came from that kind of world you might remember
12:36 that when the train is approaching the station
12:38 you can almost hear the song playing in your mind
12:41 "People get ready... there's a train a comin'. "
12:46 Get ready also brings with it a change of attitude.
12:50 Consider the following:
12:52 People that get ready for vacation have a happy attitude.
12:56 People that get ready to fight display a mean attitude.
13:00 When people get ready to lie they have a shifty and restless
13:04 attitude. When hungry people get ready to eat, the eyes
13:08 widen, the tongue salivates, and the stomach begins to say
13:13 "I'm ready. " Isn't that right?
13:15 When women get ready to shop for clothes and shoes that they
13:19 like they get a new attitude.
13:22 When men get ready to shop at their favorite gadget store
13:25 and the wife is not with them they get a relaxed attitude
13:29 and a sense of "I'm free... finally I'm free. "
13:33 But no matter what you get ready to do or what you get
13:36 ready for, you attitude will adjust to match that scenario.
13:42 Thus the wise man says: "For as he thinks in his heart
13:47 so is he. "
13:51 Some have asked their children the following questions:
13:55 "How are you going to get ready for church with that kind
13:58 of attitude? "
13:59 "You can't get ready for college with those grades. "
14:02 "How are you going to get ready for marriage without a job? "
14:06 Getting ready requires a change.
14:09 Two words of urgency: "Get ready: there's a storm coming. "
14:14 To get ready means that consideration of the event
14:19 will determine how we get ready.
14:22 Follow me carefully.
14:23 In the consideration of the event there are three responses
14:28 that will manifest themselves.
14:30 How many responses did I say?
14:33 Three. And here they are.
14:35 There will be an emotional component.
14:38 When we are getting ready our feelings about the event
14:42 will be manifested.
14:43 When we are getting ready there will be a cognitive component:
14:47 the thoughts and the beliefs about the event
14:51 will be manifested.
14:52 And finally, there will be a belief component:
14:55 how the event influences our behavior.
15:00 When I was sitting down today putting the final touches
15:04 on my sermon I thought to myself...
15:06 I said: "With all the knowledge that God has given us
15:09 about end-time events we should be the most alert
15:14 Christian movement on the planet. " Amen!
15:17 Amen? Amen! I mean, we could actually not in a boastful way
15:21 but in a very accurate way we can begin to
15:24 predict events that are going to transpire on this planet.
15:28 In politics, in religion,
15:31 in the Vatican, in the world, in morality...
15:36 with all that God has told us we ought to be the most
15:39 alert Christian movement on the planet.
15:43 Among all the other movements we ought to be the people
15:45 that are ready. What do you say?
15:47 When Paul speaks of that sudden destruction
15:50 that will take the world by storm he says to us
15:52 in I Thessalonians chapter 5 and verse 6...
15:56 You can turn there but I'll read it.
15:58 "Therefore let us not sleep as others do but let us
16:02 watch and be sober. "
16:04 In other words he says in that statement
16:07 "Let's get ready. "
16:11 In Testimonies volume 8 Ellen White says...
16:13 I thank God for the inspiration that He's given us
16:17 through Ellen White. What do you say?
16:18 Amen. I mean, you can read her writings
16:20 and find out what the newspapers are going to write two years
16:23 from now. Am I right?
16:27 Testimonies volume 8 page 27 and 28 she writes about the
16:31 condition of the world today.
16:33 She says: "Transgression has almost reached its limit.
16:38 Confusion fills the world
16:41 and a great terror is soon to break upon human beings.
16:45 The end is near. " And listen to this:
16:48 "We who know the truth
16:51 should be preparing for what is soon to break upon the world
16:56 as an overwhelming surprise. "
17:00 In other words, she's saying that we ought to be ready.
17:03 We ought to get ready. As a matter of fact,
17:06 we should have been ready a long time ago. Amen for that?
17:09 Every time a Camp Meeting ends we go back home and say
17:12 "We ought to get ready. " And I'm asking myself
17:14 the question: "At what point if we're continuing to just
17:17 get ready, at what point will we BE ready? "
17:21 Whenever my wife and I go on vacation
17:23 we get ready but there's a point that we ARE ready.
17:26 When we celebrate our anniversary we get ready -
17:29 we've been waiting 30 years for this one -
17:31 and we hardly had any plans.
17:34 We just decided all that we needed to do
17:37 for our 30th anniversary was just spend time together.
17:39 Amen somebody.
17:41 We had done it all.
17:43 We took two suits down with us to Nashville
17:45 and I took a nice suit and my wife took a nice outfit.
17:49 And we planned on dressing up together.
17:52 And when we got to our destination she said:
17:55 "Now why are we dressing? For what?
17:58 I'm not... To impress you? For you to impress me?
18:01 We know we can dress. Let's just have fun together. "
18:04 Amen? We had waited 30 years
18:08 and made absolutely no plans
18:09 but just spend some time together.
18:12 And we had a good time.
18:14 Every time I write on a CD or a book I always put this text.
18:19 Paul the apostle taps us on the shoulder
18:22 in Romans chapter 13 and verse 11 and he says to us:
18:25 "And that knowing the time
18:28 that now it is high time
18:32 to awake out of sleep for now our salvation
18:35 is nearer than when we believed. "
18:38 The New King James version says: "Nearer than when
18:40 we FIRST believed. "
18:42 I go back and think of the many years -
18:45 26 years now as a pastor, 30 years as a husband -
18:49 and I'd like to think that we are closer to the coming of
18:52 Jesus now than we were 26 years ago. What do you say?
18:55 Amen! I look at the world events around us...
18:58 This new pope that has just been inaugurated - if I can use
19:02 that phrase. I sat in my living room stunned by
19:05 the phrase habemus papam: "We have a pope. "
19:10 The first openly Jesuit pope to enter that seat.
19:14 Knowing and understanding what the Jesuits stand for
19:16 I said to myself "Lord have mercy.
19:18 The people of God ought to be awake now more than ever
19:21 before. " Amen!
19:23 I still believe in preaching prophecy. What do you say?
19:25 I still believe in talking about the movements that are coming.
19:28 Whether it's in the Vatican; whether it's in apostate
19:31 Protestantism; whether it's in the world, the people of God
19:34 have been given a message that we've got to be faithful
19:37 and continue to preach. Amen!
19:39 Knowing the time... that now "it is HIGH time
19:43 to awake out of sleep for now is our salvation
19:46 nearer than when we first believed. "
19:48 Ellen White says that Satan is intensely working
19:51 to create an indifference among the remnant.
19:55 He wants the people of God to know the message
19:58 to ignore the message
20:00 and believe that their safety is in knowing the message
20:03 rather than getting ready for what the message prognosticates
20:07 is on the horizon.
20:09 I read this quotation and I thought to myself:
20:11 "Should I read that? Maybe I should? Maybe I shouldn't. "
20:14 And the Lord impressed me: "Put it in there just in case
20:17 you want to read it. " So I'm going to read it.
20:18 Are you ready? Amen. And the reason I'm going to read this
20:21 is because it uses a word that we don't normally hear
20:24 used in the pulpit. But Ellen White puts this in
20:27 the context I believe that really has an urgency.
20:29 She says... Early Writings page 118.
20:33 She says: "I saw that the remnant were not preparing
20:37 for what is coming upon the earth. "
20:40 And then she says: "Stupidity like lethargy
20:45 seems to hang upon the minds of most of those who profess
20:51 to believe that we are having the last message. "
20:57 And then she says: "My accompanying angel
20:59 cried out with an awful solemnity: 'Get ready,
21:02 get ready, get ready, for the fierce anger of the Lord
21:06 is soon to come. ' "
21:08 I believe this last message. What about you? Amen!
21:10 If you believe it, there ought to be a cognitive response,
21:15 an emotional response, a behavioral response.
21:19 We ought to not just believe it
21:22 or have a feeling about it, it ought to change the way
21:25 we live as Seventh-day Adventists.
21:29 Not just internal but external.
21:34 And if you have more interest for temporal things than for
21:37 eternal things you are suffering from lethargy.
21:41 I always wonder how people come to church
21:45 and want to rush home before the sermon ends
21:48 and expect to be in heaven and have Jesus on a timeclock.
21:55 If some of them were allowed to go to heaven, you'll hear
21:57 all these 12 o'clock rings going off
22:01 right in the midst of Jesus' sermon.
22:05 If you can't spend a thoughtful day in the presence of your
22:08 brothers and sisters in fellow- ship when the Sabbath comes,
22:12 then you are suffering from lethargy.
22:15 If you cannot fathom the thought
22:19 of somebody possibly preaching for two hours,
22:25 a good sermon...
22:28 And by the way, what qualifies it as good
22:32 is that it comes from the Word of God. Amen!
22:36 If C.D. Brooks preached for two hours... I'll be right here!
22:39 There'll be people that just get up in the midst of
22:41 Elder Brooks' sermon and say: I've got to go home;
22:43 I'm tired. " I always say to people:
22:45 "Tell that to your employer on Monday morning.
22:47 'I'm not coming in. ' Why? 'I'm tired. ' "
22:52 If spiritual things are on the lower end of your scale,
22:56 then you are suffering from lethargy.
22:58 I remember growing up my father would make us -
23:01 and I say make us - write out the multiplication
23:03 tables from 1 to 12. My sister hated that.
23:06 Every time she had to write it down she'd throw it
23:08 behind the subway steps.
23:10 That means they're the basement steps.
23:12 She'd ball it up and throw it behind the basement step.
23:14 And my dad didn't know that until one day he had to go clean
23:17 down in the basement. There were balls and balls
23:19 of white paper. All my sister's papers.
23:22 She balled up the multiplication tables
23:24 and then threw them behind the steps.
23:26 But he kept on pushing at us and today I can recite
23:29 the multiplication tables back and front.
23:33 My point is this: if you don't have interest in spiritual
23:36 things, you've got to be determined to make spiritual
23:39 things your focus until your mind develops
23:43 an interest for spiritual things.
23:46 You've got to pray the prayer that David prayed:
23:49 "Create in me a clean heart, O God,
23:52 and renew a right spirit within me. "
23:56 Another reason that we ought to get ready is that it's later
23:59 than it's ever been before
24:01 and God is not going to allow sin to go on indefinitely.
24:06 I was just really troubled and I'm going to keep talking about
24:09 this until they pass a law and then I'm going to keep
24:12 talking about it.
24:14 Every time I hear that another state introduces gay marriage
24:18 it lets me know that we are coming to the end of time. Amen!
24:21 Am I telling the truth? Yes!
24:23 In some parts of the world I'd of been just arrested.
24:26 That's all right. Maybe there's somebody in jail
24:28 that needs to hear that message. Amen!
24:30 But the people of God ought not fear what men can do
24:33 to them but ought to take upon their shoulders
24:36 the responsibility of preaching the truth,
24:39 the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
24:41 Every time I hear... And it's almost like there's a parade
24:45 or there are people applauding every time. "Hey France
24:48 just passed. " "Ohio just passed. "
24:51 "Washington, D.C. just had their first. "
24:53 And people say: "Oh, great, we're becoming open-minded. "
24:57 Well, when it comes to gay marriage my mind is closed.
25:00 Amen? When it comes to the Sabbath my mind is closed.
25:04 When it comes to the truth about the 2nd coming of Christ
25:08 my mind is closed.
25:09 As Elder Brooks says: "There are some people that say
25:12 why don't you be open-minded
25:13 when it comes to the truth? " And I have been convinced
25:15 by God's truth... my mind is closed.
25:17 That means the truth is locked in.
25:21 Ellen White says: "In just a little time Christ will come
25:24 in power and great glory.
25:26 What a terrible thing it would be if we should not be ready. "
25:30 She says: "Let us get ready AT ONCE! "
25:33 And that's in In Heavenly Places page 195.
25:37 We have to be like Israel.
25:39 I read that text in Matthew chapter 24, and it says
25:42 when the day came for destruction
25:44 when the world was inundated by a flood
25:47 it says they were "eating and drinking. "
25:49 And I stopped and thought about what's wrong with eating
25:52 and drinking? And then the Lord sent me back to
25:54 Egypt. You see, the night before God delivered the Israelites
25:58 they also were eating and drinking. But the difference was
26:02 those in the world were eating and drinking as though they had
26:06 no urgency. They were sitting down.
26:09 But when God told the Israelites to eat
26:11 He said "do it standing up. "
26:14 "Standing up with your waist and your belt tightened,
26:18 your sandals on. " They ate their last meal standing.
26:23 You see, the people of God
26:24 should not become like the world.
26:27 "Be not overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness
26:32 and the cares of this life" we are told
26:34 "so that that day would overtake you unawares. "
26:37 It's good to eat. Amen...
26:42 For hungry folk it's good to eat.
26:44 People like to eat.
26:46 But never allow appetite to prevent us from an urgency
26:51 of getting ready for the coming of our Lord.
26:54 In the book Maranatha she says on page 255
26:58 "Now we ought to get ready for the time of trial.
27:00 Now we ought to know whether our feet are planted
27:04 on the Eternal Rock. We must have an individual experience
27:08 and not depend upon others for our light. "
27:11 In other words, my mama can't save me.
27:14 My dad can't save me.
27:16 My wife can't save me.
27:19 Your husband can't save you.
27:21 Notice how I said "your husband. "
27:23 'Cause I only have a wife.
27:25 Just want to make that clear.
27:29 Need no faux pas and no slip ups.
27:32 We've got to get ready.
27:34 Pastor Kenny, we've got to get ready by checking our foundation
27:38 for leaks. You see, if we are not built on the rock
27:42 when the flood of compromise comes it will wash us away.
27:46 We've got to check our foundation for leaks.
27:50 We've also got to check our fruit.
27:53 We've got to inspect our own fruit.
27:55 You know, we like to inspect everybody else's fruit.
27:57 We are quick to say: "That's not a loving Christian.
27:59 Oh, I can't stand her... she is so impatient. "
28:01 God is saying to you: "Check out your own fruit. " Amen!
28:05 Love and joy and peace and longsuffering and gentleness
28:09 and meekness and patience. And I'm convinced
28:11 it's too late to be a cantankerous Christian.
28:14 Can you say "Amen" to that?
28:16 I don't even know how those words go together.
28:19 Sometimes we dismiss the behavior of people that are
28:22 church members. They've been members a long time
28:23 and they'll pull a young person aside and offend them.
28:26 And we say: "Well that's just how Bro. So-and-So is. "
28:28 And we dismiss it.
28:30 But that's not the kind of behavior that will be carried on
28:34 in the kingdom of God. If you're cantankerous down here,
28:37 you've got to give that to Jesus because there'll be no
28:39 cantankerous Christians in the kingdom. Amen!
28:42 There'll be no offensive Christians in the kingdom.
28:44 There'll be no profane Christians in the kingdom.
28:47 There'll be no lying and deceiving and conniving.
28:50 There'll be no lust-driven Christians in the kingdom.
28:54 We've got to give all of that to the Lord down here.
28:56 We've got to get ready now. Say "Get ready now. "
28:59 Get ready now. This is the hour that we must get ready.
29:02 Ellen White also says to us
29:04 that we have to get ready by telling our neighbors and our
29:06 friends that the world is coming to an end.
29:09 We must work like it's five minutes before midnight
29:14 and at midnight the doors are shut.
29:18 In Maranatha page 312 she says:
29:21 "The burden of my message to you is get ready.
29:24 Get ready to meet the Lord.
29:26 There is a world to be warned of the near approach
29:29 of the end of all things. "
29:30 I've got to tell you something about the title of my sermon
29:32 because when Shelley Quinn called me, I think it was
29:35 last week or maybe the week before last, I don't remember
29:37 when, so many things happen in my life at such a rapid pace,
29:41 I was busy writing a book about - you know -
29:43 Sunday Mask and doing all the things that my wife gave me
29:46 to do... My wife worked me hard this week.
29:51 I cut the grass. I cleaned out the garage.
29:53 I cleaned her truck, my truck.
29:54 I cleaned everything that could be cleaned.
29:57 And she rewarded me today with a good dinner. Amen!
30:02 But Shelley Quinn called me and she said: "Pastor John,
30:05 we need a sermon title. "
30:06 I said: "Shelley, I don't even know what I'm preaching on
30:09 Saturday night. " She said: "Well we need a sermon title. "
30:12 I said: "Shelley, even if I give you a title I'm going to
30:14 change it because I don't know what I'm going to be saying. "
30:16 She said: "John... sermon title. "
30:20 I said: "OK, just put Get Ready... "
30:23 having no idea, Karen, that when I got home
30:26 and I put those two words in the writings of Ellen White
30:30 I discovered over and over and over and over and over
30:33 God's servant - in every age and in almost every situation -
30:37 she beckoned, she trumpeted that clarion call.
30:41 In every situation: "Get ready to meet the Lord;
30:43 get ready, the end is near. "
30:45 "Get ready to carry the gospel; get ready, get ready,
30:48 get ready. " And I said: "Lord, thank you. That's YOUR title. "
30:51 We've got to get ready for a universal government takeover
30:58 for my Bible tells me that soon the kingdoms of this world
31:02 will become the kingdoms of our Lord and of our Christ
31:05 and He shall reign forever and ever.
31:06 Can you say "Amen" to that?
31:08 A GOVERNMENT TAKEOVER.
31:10 I'm going to be in that kingdom. What about you?
31:12 Amen. We ought to get ready for a universal healthcare reform
31:16 bill. God's going to shut down all the hospitals.
31:19 "The inhabitants shall not say 'I am sick. ' "
31:22 What do you say? God is going to put the optometrists
31:25 out of business. Every eye will see Him when He comes.
31:28 The production of crutches and wheelchairs and canes
31:31 and walkers will come to a screeching halt
31:33 because the Bible says "the lame man shall leap
31:36 like a hart. " Universal healthcare reform...
31:39 the kind that God can put in effect that costs us
31:42 absolutely zero dollars.
31:44 Usain Bolt, that Jamaican Olympian ain't going to have
31:48 anything on the saints because we will "run and not be weary;
31:52 we will walk and not faint. " Can you say "Amen" to that?
31:54 We've got to get ready for that.
31:56 Got has got us getting ready.
31:59 And the reason why we are going to run?
32:01 You see David, the Psalmist, gave context to the running.
32:04 Christians run. I've heard of people
32:05 they say they "run on in Jesus. "
32:07 I don't even know what that means.
32:11 I've been in churches where people are running up and down
32:13 the aisles and they're all exhausted and sweaty
32:16 and everything. And I said: "Now what just happened? "
32:18 They said: "They were running on in Jesus. "
32:22 But I read the Bible, and this is the kind of running
32:24 I want to do. David the Psalmist in Psalm 119 verse 32, he says:
32:28 "I will run the course of Your commandments. "
32:31 Come on, say "Amen" church. Amen!
32:33 If that's where God's commandments are going to
32:34 lead me, I'm going to run the course of His commandments.
32:37 Because the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the
32:40 strong, but as Matthew says
32:42 "But he that shall endure unto the end
32:44 the same shall be saved. "
32:46 I'm going to run until I end up in the kingdom of heaven.
32:49 What about you?
32:51 Get ready for the concert of the ages.
32:54 Get ready for the choir. Some of you sit down there
32:56 and listen to us sing. One day we're going to sit down
32:59 and listen to you sing. What do you say about that?
33:01 I met a lady that's well up in years.
33:04 She's in her 80's and she was telling me her experience.
33:08 How she had been suffering from throat cancer
33:11 and how she received treatment and how the doctors
33:15 had done a wonderful miracle and they had taken out this
33:18 large tumor in her throat. But every time she inhaled
33:22 I heard her and I thought "Then what is the problem? "
33:26 She said: "You know, you wouldn't believe it but I used
33:27 to be able to sing very well. " And I said to her:
33:30 "Don't worry about it. One day you're going to sing again. "
33:32 Amen? There's some people that said they can't sing.
33:36 My wife sings on a hill far away.
33:44 But... See, I wouldn't say that unless we had a great love
33:47 relationship. 'Cause some of you will say that and your wife will
33:50 leave you right here in Thompsonville
33:52 and go back to Texas without you. Am I telling the truth?
33:55 Don't put your hand up.
33:57 But one day my wife is going to sing in the sweet bye and bye.
34:01 Amen? We've got to get ready...
34:04 get ready for the concert of the ages.
34:06 The Bible says "the tongue of the dumb will sing
34:09 and they will sing a new song! "
34:12 Oh, how we're going to sing.
34:14 Nobody's going to sing... Like Doug Batchelor, my friend,
34:17 he said "When we get to heaven" he said "John, it's going to be
34:19 easy to find me. I'm going to be the one singing the loudest. "
34:23 'Cause Doug could do about anything
34:25 but he can't sing.
34:27 Don't tell him I said that.
34:28 If you're watching the program, Doug, I'm just admitting
34:30 that you do a lot of good things. If I had a nickel...
34:33 Like Bobby Davis said... If he had a nickel for every
34:36 for every time somebody told him their story about
34:40 their conversion... He said "If I had a nickel for every time
34:43 they mention Doug Batchelor's name I'd be wealthy today. "
34:47 He's a wonderful preacher
34:48 but in heaven we'll hear him sing.
34:53 The tongue of the dumb will sing.
34:58 And I'm not applying that to Doug.
35:04 He's my good friend. I wouldn't say that about a good friend.
35:08 Get ready for the earthquake of the ages.
35:11 I have an app on my iPad that I had to just de-activate
35:15 a moment ago because it always pops up
35:17 when there's a 5.0 or greater. It pops up in the middle
35:20 of whatever I'm doing and let's me know where in the world
35:23 that there's an earthquake...
35:24 where that earthquake just occurred.
35:27 But I tell you what, when the final earthquake happens
35:30 it's not going to be popping up on anybody's iPad.
35:33 Because even the building that houses the Richter scale
35:38 is going to be coming down. What do you say?
35:41 Amen!
35:42 The Lord says: "I will shake the heavens
35:44 and the earth will be moved out of her place. "
35:47 And then the reason for the earthquake is going to be this:
35:50 the earth is going to quake and cast out the dead.
35:54 And oh I am looking forward to the day when the dead will be
35:58 cast out of their graves.
36:00 I've got a mother in New York; I've got a mother in the
36:02 Virgin Islands. And I told you before a couple of years ago
36:04 I don't know where I'm going to be.
36:06 I want to be in New York to see Momma Haynes who gave me
36:09 the way of life... who led me into the path
36:11 that I now stand in. I want to be in the Virgin Islands
36:14 to see my mother come forth from her dusty grave.
36:17 God gave me the privilege of baptizing my mother
36:20 after we were abandoned and separated from 3 mos. old
36:24 to almost 26 years old... I didn't even know who she was.
36:28 And God gave me the privilege of baptizing her.
36:30 And sometimes I say: "I want to be in the Virgin Islands
36:32 to see her come forth from the grave. "
36:34 So some days New York; other days the Virgin Islands.
36:36 But God's got this thing figured out because He says
36:38 "Why don't you just meet them in the air? "
36:42 Amen? Amen!
36:44 Get ready for the reunion of the ages.
36:46 Families separated by death will again embrace their loved ones.
36:50 Oh how wonderful that's going to be
36:52 to see those that we've laid to rest!
36:54 Every year people are being laid to rest. As we sit here
36:57 people are dying all around us.
36:59 Tragedies... buildings falling.
37:01 I saw the video of an airplane - a 747, a cargo jet - taking off
37:06 in Afghanistan. Seven Americans on board
37:08 perished because the cargo shifted and before they could
37:12 even get to 1,000 ft. I watched in horror
37:15 as the video was put on YouTube.
37:17 I looked at that. My wife told me about it.
37:19 I watched this 747 fully loaded with fuel
37:23 as it fought its way. They said what had happened
37:25 is one of the cargo bays had slipped and began to imbalance
37:29 the plane. And as that plane struggled to get altitude
37:31 it just teetered and tipped and then just came crashing
37:35 to the ground in a fiery ball of destruction.
37:39 And I thought to myself right there... then and there...
37:42 seven records for eternity just shut.
37:47 And I cannot imagine the sadness that the families
37:50 have to follow on with. The families that have to pick up
37:53 the broken pieces. But if you love the Lord, one day
37:56 there's going to be an earth- quake and even your husbands
37:59 and those who perished in whatever the disaster may be
38:02 will come forth from their graves. Praise God for the
38:04 resurrection! Amen! Friends that I lost in high school.
38:08 Friends that I lost in church school.
38:11 Family members. God is going to break up
38:14 every place where there is going to be a saint in a grave.
38:18 I said a number of years ago: "Be careful...
38:20 don't be in Wal-Mart when the earthquake happens
38:23 because there are going to be some saints that come through
38:25 the floors of Wal-Mart. "
38:27 I mean, you don't know... you don't know that.
38:30 Two hundred years ago it could have been a burial ground...
38:32 now it's a Wal-Mart.
38:38 Just a thought.
38:42 But what a reunion that's going to be!
38:45 Parents reunited with their children.
38:48 Children reunited with their parents.
38:51 And not just reunited but as the songwriter says
38:53 "reunited... and you look so good! "
38:56 Amen?
38:58 We're not going to see old parents come forth
39:00 from the grave. We're not going to see parents with eye problems
39:03 and parents with hearing aids.
39:06 They're going to come forth from the grave looking so pristine
39:08 and so perfect in the righteousness and the remake
39:13 of Jesus... a complete extreme makeover.
39:19 Amen! I see saints that come to church
39:25 and some of them struggle. We have a saint in church
39:27 that always tells me what the next thing is.
39:30 You know, she had so many issues and so many things
39:33 that had been broken in her body throughout her life.
39:36 Every now and then she'd give her testimony.
39:38 She said: "This week the Lord fixed this part
39:40 and last month the Lord fixed that part.
39:43 A year ago He fixed that part. "
39:45 And I said: "Sister, tell the doctors to quit it
39:48 because when the Lord comes back He won't have anything
39:50 to fix! "
39:54 But oh how beautiful it's going to be when Jesus comes.
39:57 Can you say "Amen" to that? Amen!
39:59 No more separation; no more death.
40:01 No more sorrow; no more crying.
40:03 NO MORE FUNERALS! Amen!
40:06 My sister called me the other day and she said...
40:08 She just came back from a funeral. She was down at the
40:10 World Trade Center when September 11th occurred
40:12 just about 12 years ago. Can you imagine? Twelve years ago.
40:16 And she had gone through so many funerals. She said:
40:18 "John, you know I could quit just out of being in shock.
40:22 I have put so many friends in the grave.
40:24 I could quit the force and get full pay
40:27 just from the sheer shock of going to so many funerals. "
40:30 And to this day she is struggling with dialysis.
40:32 She'd go to work and work maybe a double shift
40:35 and then go to dialysis and then go home.
40:37 Or some mornings she gets up early... goes to dialysis
40:39 and then goes to work for eight hours. And I said:
40:41 "How do you do it? " She said: "Just pray for me. "
40:45 I keep praying for my sister because when the Lord comes
40:48 I want my sister to be in the ascension.
40:53 Left the church at 16 years old
40:56 and I'm praying for her to come back.
40:58 My wife and I pray for her all the time.
41:00 There are two people that we pray for every single day:
41:02 my wife's mother and my sister.
41:05 Every single day.
41:07 And then we add to that list as the priorities of church
41:09 members and people that we know
41:11 and people struggling with illnesses.
41:12 We add to that list but one thing we do know:
41:15 every prayer that we pray in behalf of those that God loves
41:20 those prayers will be answered.
41:22 There's going to be a day that's going to be better
41:26 than any day we have every experienced.
41:28 And you think about that for a brief moment
41:29 because that goes over our heads sometimes.
41:31 Think about the most fun you have ever had.
41:35 Think about the greatest joy you have ever experienced.
41:39 Think about the day that you had more endorphins
41:43 popping in your head from excitement than you've ever
41:45 experienced. And when the Lord comes, you will exponentially
41:48 be filled with joy.
41:50 And by the way... this joy won't end.
41:52 This is going to be joy forevermore. What do you say?
41:54 Amen! Not giddy... not silly...
41:57 but joy!
42:00 Not PlayStation joy.
42:03 Not cable TV joy.
42:07 Not basketball championship joy.
42:12 Not eating joy.
42:14 Not getting married joy...
42:17 but eternal life joy.
42:20 I look forward to the day when Jesus can come
42:24 and take us to the place that we have long talked about,
42:29 preached about,
42:31 prayed about,
42:34 and sung about.
42:36 What a day of rejoicing that will be
42:40 when we all get a chance to see Jesus!
42:44 You know, you've got to really pray hard because
42:46 some of us have been in this thing so long that to us it's
42:48 now just a habit.
42:50 Don't ever allow your Christianity to become a habit.
42:53 Amen!
42:55 It's got to be something that is awakened every day.
42:58 You're got to spend time in the Word of God.
43:00 There's bread in the Word of God every day that's fresh.
43:03 Never allow your Christianity to become stale.
43:06 Never allow your Christianity to become traditional.
43:10 And don't allow the world to crowd you so away from Christ
43:14 that the things of the world become a priority in your life.
43:19 We've got to put worldliness down. Come on somebody. Amen!
43:22 We've got to dress like we're getting ready for heaven.
43:25 We've got to talk like we're getting ready for heaven.
43:28 We've got to eat like we're getting ready for heaven.
43:31 We've got to be willing to put health reform and dress reform -
43:36 not health deform but health reform.
43:40 I was reading in the writings of Ellen White
43:41 when she talked about the difference between health
43:43 reform and health deform.
43:45 She said: "When we make a test where God has never made a test
43:49 health reform becomes health deform. "
43:52 We've got to eat like those that are getting ready for
43:55 a heavenly diet, what do you say? Amen!
43:58 That means you can't always have it your way.
44:00 Amen! Praise the Lord!
44:04 Forget about the golden arches and think about the golden
44:06 streets. Amen? Amen!
44:10 That's right. This body... you only get one.
44:12 It's hard to believe I'm only 35, isn't' that right?
44:17 I met somebody yesterday we hadn't seen in a long time
44:19 and she said: "You guys just don't age. "
44:21 I said: "I love you even more. "
44:24 But if you think my wife is pretty now, you wait till
44:27 we get to heaven. That's why I'm holding on to her.
44:31 See, some of you think that your wife is getting older
44:33 and all that. Uh-uh... she's getting better!
44:36 That's right. 'Cause I'm going to finally look like
44:39 I'm supposed to look when I get to heaven.
44:42 Amen somebody... Amen!
44:44 Don't be trading them in.
44:46 Don't be trying to get a newer model.
44:49 Amen.
44:51 'Cause when you get to heaven...
44:53 When I get to heaven my wife is going to be the best model
44:56 in heaven. Amen! I look forward to eternity with her.
45:02 I look forward to spending eternity with her.
45:04 And if she can cook that down here, just imagine
45:07 how good she's going to cook in heaven.
45:09 Love you, honey.
45:12 And then one day my wife and I
45:15 are going to get to take the best trip together.
45:17 We have flown together to 51 countries.
45:19 We are now frequent flyers with American Airlines.
45:22 But Jesus has other plans because He's purchased for us
45:26 by His blood a seat on the New Jerusalem Airlines. Amen!
45:32 And I just can't wait!
45:34 You know, you stand at the terminal gate and you wait
45:37 till your names are called. We are Platinum customers
45:40 and it always feels good that they said... You know,
45:43 they always start with the guys that are way ahead of us.
45:45 You know, Executive Platinum... and we think: "OK,
45:48 they think they're something. "
45:50 And then they get down to - you know - Emerald and
45:53 whatever and they finally get down to Platinum
45:54 and we get up like we're really important.
45:59 And we walk in.
46:01 But I tell you, when Jesus comes we're going to all not be
46:03 Gold or Platinum, we're all going to be covered by the
46:05 blood of the Lamb. What do you say? Amen!
46:07 Doesn't matter if I go in first or go in last
46:10 as long as the door shuts behind us. What do you say?
46:12 Amen!
46:14 Get ready for the journey of the ages.
46:16 The longest single flight we've taken together is 16-1/2 hours
46:20 from Atlanta to Johannesburg, So. Africa.
46:23 Can you imagine two day's work just sitting in an airplane?
46:28 But if you don't like that, don't get nervous because
46:31 the flight we're going to take to heaven is going to be
46:32 seven days long. Amen? Amen!
46:35 And while we're in flight we're going to be singing
46:37 some songs. All the way my Savior leads me.
46:40 Oh the fullness of His joy!
46:42 Perfect rest to me is promised
46:45 in my Father's house above.
46:47 When I wake to life immortal,
46:49 wing my flight to realms of day,
46:51 this my song through endless ages... Come on now:
46:54 Jesus led me all the way.
46:57 We're going to see things we've never seen before.
46:59 We're going to pass constellations we've never
47:01 passed before. We're going to see what God can really do.
47:04 I'm looking forward to seeing how God really made this thing.
47:08 I'm looking forward to being there the day that He re-makes
47:11 this thing. When He puts death to death.
47:15 When He puts sin to death.
47:17 Never accept or believe the idea that sin will ever have a chance
47:21 of coming back a second time. Amen! Because I believe today
47:24 and I hold onto the sufficiency of the blood of Christ,
47:26 if Jesus defeated sin at the cross, it's defeated.
47:29 Can you say "Amen" to that? Amen!
47:32 His blood is sufficient.
47:34 The devil nor sin is going to survive the coming of the Lord.
47:38 Now for those of you that like potluck, get ready for the
47:40 banquet of the ages.
47:43 Oh, I should have gotten more "Amen's " than that.
47:45 Bet you're still digesting your lunch.
47:48 Get ready for the banquet of the ages
47:51 when the promise that Jesus made to His disciples 2,000 years ago
47:56 will be fulfilled in our sight.
47:59 He said to them in Matthew 26:29
48:01 "But I say unto you I will not drink henceforth
48:04 of the fruit of this vine until the day when I drink it
48:07 new with you in My Father's kingdom. "
48:10 I plan on being there for that dinner. What do you say?
48:13 Amen!. Oh yeah... it doesn't matter where you sit.
48:16 Ellen White says that the table is going to appear as though
48:19 it's miles long and no matter where you sit
48:23 you're going to feel like you're at the right hand of the Father.
48:25 Amen? Amen!
48:27 I mean, what a table it's going to be.
48:28 We've got pictures. We try to create in our own minds
48:31 what heaven is going to be. But brethren, the best drawing
48:34 you've ever seen, the best artist's conception that you've
48:37 ever been able to create falls far short... far short
48:43 of anything that God has in store for us.
48:46 That's another reason why I want to go.
48:47 I've seen a whole lot.
48:48 I can't wait to see what God has in store for us. Amen!
48:51 Anybody else like that?
48:53 You know, all these science fiction movies and all these
48:56 creators of all these special effects... you know, they can
48:59 really make you dizzy with these special effects nowadays.
49:02 You think 3-D is something? Wait till God finishes creating.
49:06 Amen. He's probably going to show us 4-D.
49:09 Because we're not going to see it all around us
49:11 we're going to be right in the middle of it. What do you say?
49:13 Traveling for seven days on the power of divinity.
49:18 Passing stars and constellations far beyond Orion.
49:24 Entering through a portal that scientists say
49:26 if we ever even get near to it it will crush anything that
49:29 gets within its proximity.
49:31 One day we're going to see Jesus. One day we're going to be
49:33 able to touch His hands. One day we're going to be able
49:35 to see His face. Come on somebody... say "Amen. "
49:38 One day we're going to sit down with Jesus and say: "Father,
49:41 tell me about all the times You spared me when I drove my car. "
49:44 Amen! "Tell me what it was like when You helped me make it
49:48 from one week to the next. "
49:49 "Tell me, Lord, how You saved my children. "
49:52 "Tell me, Lord, how You answered my prayer for those
49:54 that were going astray and You laid me to rest until
49:58 You still saved them. " I want to tell you this:
50:01 I left the church when my mother died
50:03 and I went out into the world.
50:05 But she prayed for me before she died
50:08 and God answered that prayer. What do you say?
50:10 You see my brothers, my sisters: don't stop praying because God
50:13 is gonna answer the prayers. Keep on praying.
50:16 The final movements are going to be rapid.
50:18 No more night; no more pain;
50:20 no more tears... never crying again.
50:23 Praises to the great I Am and we will live in the light
50:27 of the risen Lamb. I'm looking forward to that day.
50:30 So what do you do when Camp Meeting is over?
50:32 Do you go back home and just sit down?
50:34 What do you do, church? Tell me somebody in two words
50:36 what do you do when you go home?
50:37 Get ready!
50:39 You get your family ready.
50:41 You get your life ready.
50:42 You get your prayer life ready.
50:44 You get your spiritual life ready.
50:46 You begin to pray like folk that are looking forward to
50:48 Jesus' coming. You begin to live like Jesus is coming tomorrow.
50:52 You begin to love like Jesus is on His way.
50:56 I like the way that H.M.S. Sr. said...
50:58 You know, all of his life he would say and end his programs,
51:01 he would say: "Jesus is coming soon"
51:03 and somebody at his bedside... was sitting there with him
51:06 and he said: "Elder Richards, you're about to be laid to rest.
51:09 What do you say now? Jesus hasn't come yet. "
51:12 And he said with a fainting voice: "He's on His way. "
51:15 Come on somebody: He's on His way... He's on His way.
51:21 They say that heaven is 10 zillion light years away
51:24 but He's on His way. The final movements will be rapid.
51:28 The people of God have to get ready.
51:31 Jesus is soon to come.
51:34 We've got to live like we want to go.
51:38 We've got to love like we want to go.
51:41 And so my brothers and my sisters wherever you may be from
51:44 let's not become enamored by where we're from
51:48 but let's begin to get enamored by where we're headed.
51:50 No matter what country you come from, no matter
51:53 what your nationality may be,
51:55 no matter what you believe and what you don't believe,
51:57 it's time to get ready. Because where I come from
52:00 is nothing in comparison to where I'm going.
52:02 So by God's grace, let's get ready. What do you say?
52:05 Amen! Amen!
52:07 All right, we'd like to get all the folk who've been singing.
52:10 Some of you are out here. If you've been singing
52:12 or preaching we want you to come up.
52:15 Bro. Dwight come up.
52:17 And we want to... How many have had a great time this week?
52:21 All right... in the Lord? Praise the Lord for that.
52:24 And you know we have a Fall Camp Meeting also, right?
52:28 I'm not sure what the dates are
52:29 but I can tell you it's in the Fall. How's that?
52:31 So that's all we can do right now.
52:33 But I want to just say a special thank you for all of you.
52:37 Dwight, especially for you. It's a long time away
52:40 from your family and your church and all these folk.
52:43 But you know it's like we hope you're looking at it
52:45 like you just came and got a piece of heaven.
52:47 So Berrien Springs is OK... you can go back there.
52:50 But you can tell them you've been to a better place.
52:54 Now he's got a little sample of what it's' going to get like.
52:58 Berrien Springs. I spent four years up there, but
53:01 that's before you were pastor. I didn't go to school;
53:04 I managed a lumber yard and got in people's way.
53:06 But I had a good time in Berrien Springs... a great place to be.
53:10 Thank you so much for what you have done. All of you.
53:12 Coming all the way from Australia. And where's Julia?
53:16 She's... Julia, you should be up here too.
53:19 All right. Julia... John, you should be up here.
53:22 So we've got Australians; we've got Russians.
53:25 Philippines. Oh, Texas. Shelley says "Texas. "
53:29 Oregon... we've got them back here.
53:31 Georgia. OK, from all over
53:33 and even a few of us from southern Illinois.
53:35 And Pastor Gilley, we have just a few moments left.
53:40 And we just want to praise the Lord. We do.
53:43 This has been a real blessing and we've heard some wonderful
53:47 messages. We heard about Elijah and the Elijah message
53:50 from Steve Bohr. And we heard about the cross
53:54 and God's new thing from Pastor Dwight.
53:58 The music has just been heavenly.
54:01 We appreciate all the good music... we really do.
54:04 And I've been blessed.
54:09 This Camp Meeting has blessed me.
54:11 It has made me determined to have a closer relationship
54:16 with the Lord Jesus Christ... to know Him better.
54:19 And that's what Camp Meeting is all about
54:23 is it should inspire us to go to our knees,
54:28 to go to the Word, and to re-commit ourselves
54:34 to Jesus Christ. That's what we want to do here tonight.
54:38 And I'm hoping that we can sing together but I'm also hoping
54:42 that as a congregation we can re-commit ourselves
54:46 to Jesus. To the task of putting forth this message.
54:52 To the unity with all of those who work together
54:56 in putting the gospel out.
55:00 And we want that kind of spirit in our hearts. We do.
55:04 Pastor Dwight, would you come up
55:05 and just give us a closing prayer? And then maybe we'll
55:08 sing a little chorus together also.
55:11 But there are viewers watching from around the world
55:13 and you have touched many many lives including those of us
55:17 up here and behind you, so thank you.
55:22 Father, what Pastor Jim just said is the longing
55:27 of our hearts. Jesus' prayer on the eve of His death
55:31 "that they, Father, may be one as We are One. "
55:36 Do whatever it takes.
55:39 Create this Christ-borne unity.
55:43 Pour out the Spirit upon us
55:46 and finish Your work in this generation.
55:52 We live for the return of our Savior,
55:54 but we will not go home alone.
55:56 We will take every man, woman, and child we can
55:59 to the Savior. So we go our separate ways
56:04 to all points on the compass, but You go with us.
56:06 Keep Your arms around us till one day we will be
56:09 as Pastor John just preached at the nail-scarred feet
56:13 of our Savior. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
56:18 Showers of blessing...
56:22 showers of blessing we need.
56:26 Mercy drops round us are falling...
56:31 but for the showers we plead.
56:35 Now we're going to change keys.
56:36 "There shall be showers of blessing, "
56:41 this is the promise of love.
56:46 There shall be seasons refreshing
56:50 sent from the Savior above.
56:56 Showers of blessing...
57:00 showers of blessing we need.
57:06 Mercy drops round us are falling...
57:11 but for the showers we plead.
57:17 The chorus again:
57:18 Showers of blessing...
57:23 showers of blessing we need.
57:28 Mercy drops round us are falling...
57:33 but for the showers we plead.
